Hello, Remy! How can I extract the SF6 files (patch Elena) to be extracted in the ''Native'' folder so that all the folders including the ''Stages'' folder are included? I got an updated file list of the Elena patch, but when I do the whole extraction, it doesn't contain the stage folders (which are the ones I want to use). I want to create a mod where all the stages in the game replace the training room.

Why are we against perma paywalling? Please read this post. It explains it perfectly.

Is early access bad? No, as long as they stay within EAs timeframe rules we won't include them. This is because last time these were abused, EA removed early access all together for a while, and despite what one might think we're not opposed to the idea that people can make money on their creativity - we just don't want that exploited.

Why are we against ads? Ads can contain malicious elements such as malware, viruses, or phishing attempts. Clicking on these ads can lead to the installation of harmful software on your device or expose you to deceptive schemes aimed at stealing personal information. Some ads may promote scams, fraudulent products, or unethical practices. Engaging with these ads can result in financial losses or being misled into purchasing substandard or counterfeit goods. Ads also often track user behavior and collect personal information for targeted advertising purposes. This raises privacy concerns as your online activities and personal data may be harvested and shared with third parties without your consent. There is also the almost dystopian ethical issue of forcing advertisement on people who did not willingly sign up for it. These are just a few reasons why ads are not encouraged, especially as link shorteners where they force the user to actively interact with the ads which is incredibly unsafe. This is why we do not support AdFly, Linkvertise, Shorte.st, etc.

My cc is on TSR - does that make me bad? Not at all. TSR is not as bad as perma paywalling, it's not as frowned upon although very disliked because many have a big problem with the site itself. With the mods resorting to scare-tactics since ts2 and the site being potentially dangerous because of their their ads and insane amount of trackers, they're also exploitative with the way they force mostly young users into paying for premium content and memberships, etc.

Hi everyone

I’ve decided to un-launch my Patreon page. While I am so thankful for the generosity of all of my Patreons, the page was never created for that purpose (my content has always and will always be free) yet you guys are still just supporting me anyway, you are amazing. Thank you. I’m still in shock that you guys actually like my creations. I never thought I’d get 100 followers on Tumblr, let alone 11k! Lately I just do not have the time, patience or inspiration to create. I have been pausing the billing cycles but people have still been signing up as Patreons, so instead I have just closed it.

Don’t get my wrong, I did enjoy creating and it really did help get me through 9 months of lockdown and the depression of my career being pulled out from under me. I’m just so drained.

But for those wondering, not to worry - I have moved all of the files to SFS and have linked them all below in a complete portfolio archive, with links to the original posts with all of the info.

Hey I am trying to make a Chun li model for blender and I am trying to figure out how to make the nude base model that makes use of the already available body texture map with some modifications, I really can't find any sources or guides for this specific task only importing custom clothes, much appreciated !

hey everyone!! so i’ve just about collected all of the sf entries, and i’ve been getting them all organized and in game. but you’re probably wondering, what happens now? so i thought i’d go over a few faq type questions in this post!! (if you have anymore questions, please let me know and i’ll add them)

general questions

what are you doing with our sims, anyway?

well! at the moment, i’m sorting cc, giving them lil makeovers so they all fit together/in my game, and figuring out where they fit in everything i already had planned. this is a teeny spoiler, but all of them won’t be auditioning- some are already trainees with SF! but knowing how they DID audition was important, so that’s what i asked for~ hehe. i didn’t want anyone to get hopes up because not everyone will be in the posts all the time- i’m still writing and figuring out dynamics and stuff, and i have my own characters too of course- but i’m hoping everyone will show up at least once.

what exactly are you changing about them?

i’ll be changing their appearance somewhat in terms of some skin details, makeup, and clothing (dependent on the scene in question). but i’ll be keeping them as close to the original sim as i can while getting them a lil closer to my style (and lessening the load on my poor poor mods folder, lol). also, personality wise there may be some changes, just to fit the plot. i’m keeping 99% of everything you guys said, but i’ll be adding some things too. just because, though there won’t be any over the top “villains” in my story, people (especially young vulnerable teens in a stressful situation) are complicated and have flaws!! but i won’t be making them totally different sims or anything like that.

can we talk to you about our sims more?

yes!!!! if you have something to add, feel free to message me anytime. i love bouncing ideas off people, it just makes stories 10,000 times better imo (and i’m more of a roleplayer than an author at heart, i admit it willingly lol)

what the heck is this story even about???

like i said in the casting call post, it’s about yoonie’s entertainment agency, sugar free. yoon isn’t a main character in this, exactly, bc i wanted to focus on new sims, like a next generation type of thing, but it IS his company. so his life will have a lot of influence over what’s happening in the story, even if it’s not all on screen (which is relevant to the next question). but overall it’s about the trainees.

are there any potential triggers i need to know about?

yes. note that a large amount of these mostly have to deal with backstory, and while they may be mentioned, might not actually appear in the posts themselves. however, i will still tag EVERYTHING appropriately just to be safe. and will do warning text posts in advance if something i didn’t think of before pops up. here’s the list for now:

i don’t intend this to be an over the top “dark” or mature story exactly, like i said a lot of this is rooted in backstory mentions, but there are some things that also just go along with the subject matter (homophobia, colorism, eating disorder, etc). it’s not drama for the sake of drama, but realistic i’d say. i’ll treat everything as sensitively as i can and, like i said, include appropriate tags. esp. regarding transphobia as my yoonie is trans and very candid while being in an environment that isn’t always accepting and kind.

how will the posts be formatted?

i’ve gone over this a lot in my head, because i’m always caught between doing subtitles on posts and writing in the description. so this is what i think i’ve settled on: the posts themselves will usually have dialogue subtitles. however, down below i’ll write a much more descriptive version of what’s going on, including all the dialogue from the subtitles. i hope this will help especially with people that find it difficult to see subtitles on pictures/just don’t like them that much, as well as people that don’t want to read everything in big blocks of text.

do you already have posts finished? is there a schedule?

i already have some posts finished and i’ve been doing a lot of writing. however, since i just got everyone’s sims, i’m still working out some plot points with new characters. there won’t be a formal schedule. i just wanted to share from my personal universe in a fun way (and see all you guys’ amazing sims hehe).

when does this take place?

2028. bangtan has been disbanded for seven years. sugar free entertainment is still in its relative infancy as a subsidiary of big hit entertainment. big hit still has the same CEOs, while jin holds a president position. source music still exists as a subsidiary, and so gfriend is still a thing, but txt does not exist here. for reasons... you’ll see eventually.

where does this take place?

two countries: us and sk. i’m using sim cities too, but i consider them to be “american” cities (ex. san myshuno). sfe is based in korea of course, but yoon does a lot of traveling and capitalizing on the western market (so he holds auditions in usa, canada, etc too)

simlish? english? korean? what’s going on with languages?

just because i like simlish (lol), in this universe simlish replaces english. but of course, i’m still typing in english so everyone that is an english speaker can understand XD plus, that’s the only language i’m fluent in... tho being fluent in simlish would be an achievement, haha. all other languages still exist, korean, japanese, etc.

Terms of Use

Don’t reupload anything I create to another file sharing site.

If you do make anything based off my creations, make a decent effort at contacting me. This isn’t for “permission” per se, I just want to know about it. Remember to provide credit to me and a link back to the original Tumblr post (don’t use the direct download links) in your post.

Recolours of my meshes are allowed, but don’t include the mesh if you will be sharing it beyond personal use. If my work is simply a recolour itself, use the original mesh which I used and follow that creator’s T.O.U. rather than mine, since you’re recolouring their work and not mine.

If you do share any recolours (without the mesh, of course), don’t lock it behind a paywall (unless it’ll be made available to the public for free within a week or two) and don’t put the link behind an ad wall (such as adfly).

Don’t share the actual files and don’t share the download links (like SFS links), share the Tumblr post link. This includes /Mods folder sharing. Don’t share your full Mods folder with people if it has anything of mine in it (the fact it’s bad practice to share an entire Mods folder is another point entirely...)

What are your Terms of Use?

Are you WCIF friendly?

Sure. If there’s CC I’ve used on one of my models, feel free to send an ask to jamofjars and I’ll answer you as soon as I can. I try to keep the clothing on show limited to either my own CC or vanilla content. But there are some hairs/ facial hairs that my sims have that they wouldn’t look the same without.

Why do you rarely post?

This is my Creations Tumblr, rather than my main Tumblr. I actually have 2 other public Tumblrs.

I have jamofjars which is my main Simblr, here I post the screenies of my saves when I’ve got some good stories to tell. I always reblog my CC to that Tumblr, as well as reblogging the Tumblr posts of some of the big modders and CC creators who I know and support.

I have another tumblr called HMS Chromakeyed which is way more relaxed and posts very little Sims related stuff. I try to keep it jovial on there, and will post there when I’m feeling inspired to write something. Posts can be long or posts can be short, but I’m a bit more relaxed over there (and complain a lot).

Why can’t I send Asks to this Tumblr?

I don’t accept Asks through this Tumblr, for the sake of cleanliness. However, I’m more than willing to accept Asks through jamofjars. I’ll respond to them there, and (if they’re relevant to this Tumblr) reblog them here occasionally.

Yes! I would love to hear from you if you’ve used some of my CC. If you post anything to Tumblr, feel free to tag @jamofjars so I’ll see it. If you use Discord as well, consider joining my server and showing off your screenies there. In short, please show me if you can.

Who do you use to model your CC?

Most of my CC is modelled by my sims, often the sims who I’m playing at the moment. There may occasionally be “guest models” who aren’t my normal sims (or sometimes, not even mine at all) who model, but the ones who crop up on a regular basis are my active play sims generally. You’ll maybe recognise the Swyfts from the Parhayba legacy on jamofjars, so I’d suggest having a look over there if you’re wanting to see more.

Do you take requests?

No, unfortunately not. What I do is highly dependent upon the level of difficulty and my desire to make the CC itself. Sometimes, I might throw out a “What should I make?” on my Discord server looking for ideas and if someone messages me with a good idea, then I’ll consider it. But I will not guarantee anything.

Why do you have a problem with /Mods folder sharing?

Firstly, Mods folder sharing means that you don’t get to see all the CC available, both of mine and of other people’s. So you might not be getting all the best stuff. Additionally, there might be old mods/ pieces of CC which are broken. This is especially the case for Mods folders which are public sharing but can also be the case for sharing among friends. Occasionally, pieces of my CC will be updated, so old versions of those might be around in someone else’s Mods folder.

What type of CC do you prefer?

Maxis Match, I like the cartoon-y feel of Sims 4. I mostly prefer and make male CC too, since I prefer playing male sims and I often struggle to find male MM CC that I like (I’m quite picky). Occasionally I might do other things as experiments or because my interest is piqued, but that’s that I generally use and make.

<Insert CC here> isn’t working for me. What should I do?

Message me, and I’ll take a look as soon as I can. If it’s something simple to fix, then I’ll get an update out, attach an update notice to the post and update the file link. Then I’ll reply to you to let you that I’ve updated them.

If it’s something more serious, I might send you a link to my Discord where we can discuss it in more detail and you send things like screenshots and error files. In which case, I’ll get everything sorted as quickly as I can.

What sites do you use to upload files?

I use Simfileshare, as it’s my personal preference to download from. It’s a file sharing site designed purely for Simmers, so it makes the most sense as the primary download source. I then use Google Drive as a secondary download, since SFS has been known to experience minor glitches occasionally, so I like to have alternative downloads available.

Finally (and more recently), my CC is also mirrored on Patreon posts. These are the Early Access posts which have since been made public. Originally, I was removing the download attachment, and linking to the post, but now I’ve decided to simply leave the download available.

What mods do you use?

Quite a few, and I’m not going to even attempt to list them. I am happy to respond to comments and asks if you’d like to know about one specific mod, or how I do certain things. But otherwise, I’m not going to publish a list of My Mods because that would be WAY too much work to maintain as I add and remove things from my collection.

Update November 1st 2023: I made this pose originally in 2020 using the mirroring effect that is/was applied for household pictures. However, EA broke it with the patch for the Horse Ranch EP in 2023. I therefore remade this pose so that the mirroring is no longer used. In case EA ever fixes the mirroring again, you’ll need the No More Mirroring Mod for the pose to work.
