Our final family is made up of Henry and Janelle Shaw.

I'm just imagining Gabe teaching a young David all about his mom's culture, making sure David is taking Spanish classes even though Gabe can't understand a lick of the language, teaching young David about Dia De Los Muertos and putting up an offrenda for his mom, and when Gabe dies, Davey adds him to the ofrenda. Headcanons for Shaw Pack Kids!!

Since people seemed to like my Shaw Pack Teen headcanons, how about the younger kids?

Asher shifts to play and wrestle with the kids and they LOVE IT. He’ll have 4 to 5 small children hanging from him, trying to take him down. Eventually he rolls over in the most drawn out, dramatic fashion and plays dead.

The littlest kids are sometimes so ingrained in Pack Culture that they believe every adult can shift into a wolf. That’s just something grown ups can do. This has led to Babe being asked to shift and play with them like Asher does. Babe had to let them down gently.

Kids who haven’t yet developed their wolf forms play with each other pretending to be wolves. Big “Playing Warrior Cats At Recess” Energy. They also use this opportunity to imagine what their wolf form will look like in the future. “Im as BIG as David and I have grey fur!” “I’m really fast and have black fur!”

Even though they don’t have wolf forms yet, the moonbound solstice still has an effect on them. They just feel extra compelled to SCREAM and RUN and CLIMB and JUMP OFF THINGS. They have to be heavily supervised that whole day, to make sure they don’t go too feral and hurt themselves.

Birthday parties go CRAZY

Marie is on deck to heal any bumps and bruises that come with being a kid. Sweetheart has also taken to helping out. Healing scraped knees and bumped heads is really good practice.

Milo has a different nickname for every kid in the pack. He calls them by their nicknames so much he has a hard time remembering their actual names

Angel likes to make the kids laugh at pack meetings by making funny faces at them from across the room.

The kids sometimes give David little trinkets as a thank you for being their Alpha, the same way kids do for their teachers. Drawings, homemade cards, friendship bracelets, little crafts, etc. He keeps every single one.

Kimberly went to sleep that night for the first time in her new bedroom. It's been sitting there, furnished and waiting, since Henry and Janelle moved in, so it's great that someone finally gets to use it! (And Chrissy will finally get to sleep in a proper toddler bed from now on, which is great!)

And with that, we come to the end of the round for the Shaws and the end of Rotation 2!

At the end of the round, Henry is 37, Janelle is 34, Kimberly is 4 and Christina is 2.

They've unlocked 1 position in Education ready for next round!

ok so this probably only matters to me but While Shaw was born poor, he is actually only one generation away from ancestral wealth and aristocracy. His father, Jacob Shaw, came from a rich family in England that was part of the Hellfire Club. However, he had to flee all that after murdering his brother, and was a poor man in America by the time he had Sebastian. And I always wondered if Sebastian knew about his family history, knew that he could have been born wealthy and an automatic member of the Hellfire Club by birth  if only things had been a little different, because I feel like that would be a hell of a motivator on top of just “get out of crushing poverty” (technically the membership is hereditary, but it for some reason the membership was only offered to Jacob’s brother after their father passed, hence why Jacob murdered him, so I doubt that Sebastian was getting in unless he earned it like anyone else without hereditary membership. . .I would not be surprised if they tend to “lose the records” for members of formerly rich families that are now poor)  But it was never clear to me if Jacob ever told Shaw shit about this or not. It of course would be quite a coincidence if Jacob didn’t but Shaw still found his way to the Hellfire Club, but comic books basically run on coincidences so that wasn’t unlikely to me.  Anyway, finally found an answer---he does know his family used to have Hellfire Club membership! In Cable #50 (first series) Shaw tells Pierce that his great-grandfather was one of the London Inner Circle in 1859. So yeah, he was most likely told about his family history by Jacob, assuming he didn’t find it out later via Club records.

Dragon AU headcanons

I came up with instead of paying attention in the staff meeting.

Ozai taught Ursa how to cook. Dragons are pure carnivores and usually eat their meat raw so Ursa never need a reason to cook before she met Ozai.

Also, Ozai pretty much taught himself how to cook. His mother died when he was still young and he was left home alone a lot (at an age he really shouldn't have been) so he basically raised himself.

One of the few memories Ozai has of his mother is making honey biscuits with her. He's glad his children love them, and Ursa enjoys making them even if she doesn't eat them.

The dragon pups were pure carnivores like their mother when they were very young. They slowly transitioned to plants and other non-meats. But their diet is still very meat heavy (which fits in perfectly with Water Tribe food).

Ursa tried a vegetable once and nearly threw up. She can handle tea but only if it's drowned in honey much to Ozai's horror.

Adult fire dragons are as big as Ran and Shaw in the show. Ursa's actually very small for her age due to the trauma she suffered when she was young. Zuko is the only one to reach Ran and Shaw's size when he becomes an adult.
