times have changed in the last four years. the prior president had stepped down from his position in office and a newer and younger vice president took his place. the new president also happened to be a male omega, the first of many. ever since he became president, the laws that were constricting omegas and betas for centuries were finally being revoked one by one. which brought joy to many throughout the country, and yes, some annoyance to very few.

however, that did not stop the new omega president to help his own kind in having basic civil rights, such as freedom of speech, freedom to walk in any part of the country without a mate, freedom to not be mated by 20, freedom to apply to any job, etc. for many years, omegas were treated as though they practically were pets. being seen as incompetent and irresponsible, many did not want to hire them let alone befriend them.

how you ended up with a female alpha for a friend, the world will never know. being both seen as a 'rare mutation' maybe the world had a plan for you both afterall. which leads to the reason you came knocking on her apartment door at 10:00 am, to find a job.

the door opened slightly as a squinting michan peaked through, you could hear a small grumble in her chest as she opened it wider and ushered for you to come in. "hurry up," she growled. you had come to learn there was different types of growlings. they didnt all signify harm, michan taught you that. "im sorry, you told me to come at 10." you slipped off your sneakers and placed your scarf on her clothing rack by the door as she locked it. "who actually comes at the time someone tells them to?" her large eyes narrowed down onto you. you two have always been complete opposites ever since you met in middle school. she was always terrible at academics while you aced them, she was a constant flirt while you were very shy, she kept her circle very small while you were open to new friends (however they never did come).

she was one of the only people in your life that geniunely enjoyed you for yourself and not for your status, your mind or your body. no matter how contrasting you two were, your personalities couldnt have gotten along better. platonic soulmates is what you called it when you searched it up online-- to which michan gagged at.

"i-i thought that was the point?" you responded with a small head tilt, confusion had accompanied the comment from your lips. michan could only sigh before she lifted her hand and plopped it onto your head and proceeded to ruffle your hair. your whines of protest were answered as she headed to the kitchen, leaving you to fix the problem she fabricated. "lemme make my coffee then we can talk." it was safe to say that michan was addicted to any type of coffee. no matter how many times you lectured her to take care of her insides more and drink healthier alternatives. she would just flex her broad arm muscles to you and comment along the lines of 'these bad boys need coffee in order to scope out the betas'.

hence, you agreed to never say anything negative about coffee in front of her. instead you would make her other things that could waken her up without caffiene. at first, she would still refuse to try anything you made for her. leaving you very upset and her having to scarf down the food in order to stop you from spilling tears. sometimes being an omega had its perks.

you sat down by her round wooden table, enjoying the warmth that closed in on you. during winter, it was very difficult for you to feel warm in your nest at home. especially due to the fact that your apartments heating system has been broken for so long that you even offered to try and find someone to fix it, but your landlord cussed you out for thinking you had a right to tell him to do his job. stupid alphas. "alright bub, did you do what i told you last night?" pulling open a seat next to you, michan slowly sat in her seat beside you, similar to an elderly woman. groaning as her chair creaked while her weight pressed more and more until she was seated. you nodded with a shy smile, feeling prideful that you did the task correctly, you proceeded to bring your laptop out of your satchel and open it for her. michan began scrolling through the website while you laid your hands on your knees and giving repetitive squeezes of reassurance. waiting for her to praise you of your basic efforts. maybe it was the omega in you that always needed extra consolation.

although it appears that she had a stressed look on her face rather than a proud one, rubbing her forehead in annoyance. "w-whats wrong?" you asked nervously. biting on your bottom lip while trying not to squirm in your chair from her cinnamon scent spiking everytime her eyes scanned over something on the screen. "y/n, when i said to write a brief title, i meant something with a little more information. you have a bunch of horndogs replying to your ad now." she sighed and began clicking to delete the line of men and women who were attempting to reach you. "what? b-but they dont even know how i look?"

michan always envied your innocent mind, but at times like these she despised it. growing up she had to introduce you to almost every single thing you know now about the 'adult' world. giving you some of her dirty dvds and telling you to watch them, to which you complied, eager to please. however, it was safe to say youre entire body was flushed when you seen her next and told her off for making you watch such a thing. to which she responded with 'now you know why i dont hang out with you all the time'.

"they dont need to see what you look like, dork. when you are as desperate as they are, theyll fuck anything that has a hole." her harsh yet true words made you grimace. "wait, i think i found something that is somewhat normal." you lightened up at those words. your first job was definitely something you were excited for. being a newly 24 year old in such an advanced world, you finally felt as if you were becoming someone you dreamed of when you were younger. "it says, 'hello. i am a founder of hybe corportation, kim taehyung. we offer security to very important individuals in politics and an assistant is desperately needed to help file paperwork'." you peaked over her shoulder to see what she was reading, "having prior experience isnt required, so no need to worry. in person interview can be arranged if available. please contact us accordingly.' they left there phone number and website. hmm." michan squinted at the laptop.

almost trying to tell it to give up its secrets as to why a ceo would contact her omega friend-- who had made a terrible ad online. "no prior experience? thats good, right? i dont have any experience and i like to help." you smiled so wide your cheeks rose your eyes. your positivity seemed to slowly fade as michan spoke "well, it can be fake. ive heard of hype corporation and it is a real place..." she trailed off. "but?.." you urged her to continue.

michan sighed while tucking a piece of her bob behind her ear, "we will call and see whats up. if you get an interview im going with you to check it out." as the two of you made eye contact, you lightened up instantly, "r-really? thanks channie, i cant believe im gonna get a job! im finally gonna be able to pay noona back for paying my rent for me all these years," you stated with glee. "oh, you mean your super attractive older beta unnie who is single and very successful?" she batted her eyelashed with a hint of lust. those eyes of hers could never break you when it came to your sibling. "hands off my sister," you glared at her without an actual sign of threat. groaning, michan stood up to her full height and let out a playful low growl before heading to the living room. "youre no fun~"

its been a few days since the call to set up an in person interview for you had happened -- michan ended up calling for you since you were too anxious. nonetheless, today was finally the day where you showcase your abilities. though you know you arent working with much, being an omega does have its perks. for example, omegas learn things way faster than alphas or betas, they do not know the definition of procrastination, and they are constantly wanting to please. which is exactly why michan said you would be perfect at this job.

you were desperately trying on different ties that you had in front of your mirror. you werent sure what to wear exactly to such an interview or any interviews for that matter. the black slacks that hugged your waist nicely while the white button up that was tucked into it made your bottom stick out a tad more than before. a small whine escaped your lips at the itchy feeling of the shirt on your skin. omegas were always prone to disliking rougher materials, breaking their skin out in hives when they were uncomfortable. needing to find a soft and comfy place to bury their skin in, in order to calm themselves.

huffing, you decided to put up with it, since it would be the only day you would need to dress up so nice, right?your hands went up into your hair and you began attempting to make it replicate a somewhat professional style. your locks deciding for you as your hands sweep through them. making you look even younger than you already do as your hair is slightly puffy. "y/n, im just gonna nap on your couch if you dont hurry up," her warning was calm but you knew she meant she was not going to be taking you if you both didnt leave that instant. a small whine escaped your throat at the threat, "o-okay! im sorry," a small pout accompanied your lips as you quickly grabbed your satchel and headed outside the small apartment you lived in.

michan knew of your anxiousness as soon as you had stepped foot in the car. the obstruction of your usual light scent was almost clouding her vision, the thick smell of stress laying on her shoulders. "yah, im gonna need you to take a few deep breaths." glancing over at you to see your hands were tightly clasped over one another and your legs were shaking.

you did as told and once you felt your legs begin to feel loosened, michan had spoke. "its just a job interview, ive done plenty of 'em. all your gonna do is answer the questions they ask you honestly and then they'll usually tell you if you got the job right then and there. the guy messaged you saying they needed an omega so youre the perfect candidate, okay? you got this in the bag," michan always knew how to comfort you in times of stress. you two could live with eachother for the rest of your lives and you would be satisfied knowing you had a just a loving friend who took care of you. well, michan would deny it but, she also couldnt deny the way her cinnamon aroma would smell even sweeter than usual at the thought. you took one more deep breath and felt better knowing how exactly it was going to happen instead of walking inside, blind.

you couldnt help but wonder if you could make any friends at the workplace. your inner child wanting to bond with other people so badly, wanting to make up for the lost childhood you had had. if you had a tail it would be wagging at this moment. "what are you so smiley for now?" michan gave you a quirk of her eyebrow before you responded with a shy voice. "m-maybe there will be other omegas and we can...we can be friends. since, it will probably be their first job too," you tried explaining your last hope for someone to befriend. michan held back a sigh of annoyance, the one thing you couldnt listen to michan about was forming new bonds. growing up you were constantly kind and it was taken for granted. however, you still had an ounce of justification for every single wrong someone did to you. michan was annoyed of it and usually scared away anyone that would try to talk to you with ill intentions. how did she know that someone was using you? well, that was something she kept to herself, but you were grateful nonetheless.

unfortunately, she still cant help but see the 11 year old boy who just wanted to play freeze tag with his peers but they would just leave him frozen throughout the game. michan would always come to save him but someone would instantly just freeze him. a 12 year old alpha muttering along the lines of 'omegas should know when to stay put'. michan thanked the heavens above you didnt seem to hear it, your excited smile and laughs continued as you stayed frozen and watched everyone else run and have fun. your scent was constantly flourishing that day, michan remembered. now 24 year old you was sitting in her passanger seat and had the same excited smile on your face. she couldnt help but feel nostalgic over the feeling she smelt off of you, "we'll see when we get there bub." you knew she held back on what she truly wanted to say, yet you were grateful she let your urge to befriend slide this time.

"can we eat afterwards?" you change the subject, smoothly. michan looked upwards at the sign on the street, squinting, before turning right onto a that lead to a huge apartment complex. "uh...yeah, we can." you noticed her odd demeanor as she halted the cars movements and stared at the building. "w-what? what is it?" her uneasiness coercing you to feel antsy in your seat. "this is supposed to be the place." her statement came out more as a question, raising her hand and pointing it out for you to see the huge and expensive looking building that had security outside of it. "isnt that.." michan looked over at you, "an apartment complex? yeah, this seems weird."

suddenly, you were hit with a wave of dejected emotions. what if this hybe corporation interview was fake afterall? you were once again cheated of a job and friends once again. cheated into thinking you actually had a chance at a somewhat normal life and bond. that you could actually be someone that could do basic tasks and not be shadowed by your own fears and doubt of not being a good enough human being. if you were as capable as michan said you were, why hasnt anything that is supposed to happen, happen?

"lets just go inside and see whats up," michan sighed as soon as she had seen your disappointment. as quickly as you were upset, the feelings seemed to do a full 180 as you looked upwards at her with hopeful eyes. "r-really? were gonna go look?" michan nodded with a low growl, "yes, but if i see anything fishy! we are leaving and going to gingers for brunch and thats that." she stated to which you whined happily at, trying not to wiggle in your seat fron your excitement. "okay, okay! we'll leave right away then."

you both unbuckled your seatbelts and headed out of the car that brought both you and michan comfort since high school. "see you soon, sweetheart. dont miss mama too much," you rolled your eyes at michans attachment to her car. before you both turned to make eye contact with two very tall and broad security guards who were already staring at the two of you. michan swallowed a growl of dominance while you walked alongside her and up to the two men. as soon as you broke distance with the two, you instantly knew they were alphas. their scent very strong even for michan, she knew you were struggling to not run away then and there. she hurriedly spoke, "hello, we're here for an interview with mr. kim taehyung." the two men looked at one another, almost speaking without actually speaking. "mr. kim taehyung, isnt here at the moment. you'll have to come back another time." one stated, matter-of-factly. you took a small inhale in disbelief. "b-but he s-said.." you trailed off as they now had their full attention on the you. the smaller omega that accompanied the female alpha, almost looking down at you in all aspects.

"im sorry, i think theres been a mistake," michan took a step in front of you to cover your body a smidge, "we called and scheduled an appointment with him today at this exact time, how could he not be here?" she asked with a slight menacing tone. you knew the undertones of alphas not getting along so well, very few packs had many alphas since they all constantly wanted to dominate. "like he said. hes not in right now." the other spoke up with a very loud growl coercing you to gasp while your body began to tremble. curse your omegan instincts.

they took one last glance at you specifically which made you duck your head down, feeling timid. one of the alphas scoffed before grabbing a walkie-talkie from behind him and speaking into the device, "mr. kim, there is two visitors who are looking for mr. taehyung and refusing to leave. do we escort them out?" it was silent for what almost seemed long enough for them to question if the frequency even worked. abruptly, a deep voice rang through, "let them up."

a gulp had pried its way down your throat as the two men reluctantly moved and opened the heavy glass door that led to a staircase heading upwards. "lets go, y/n," michan grabbed your hand firmly, but never too hard, and led you up the stairs. you quickly walked behind her, not enjoying how exposed you were to the alphas that had practically threatened michan with promising growls. the two men knew you were afraid and so did michan. even if someone didnt have the same sense of smell, people would still be able to tell how shook up you looked. you could hardly breathe by the time you finally reached the top of the staircase. only able to focus on michans scent that she seemed to push to engulf you, in order to calm your erratic heart. walking down the long hallway to the one double door that it lead to, michan suddenly turned around and knelt downwards, you looked down at her slightly with small breaths leaving your nose. trying your best to seem calm but you could never lie to her. michan seemed to notice as well, "okay. we are safe, so we are gonna take a few deep breaths."

she could see your eyes gazing at her with trust before following what she demonstrated to you. she truly was someone who you could rely on and you hoped she felt the same way. "im...im okay," you finally spoke between breaths. michan nodded before fixing your coat, throwing any signs of your stress down the drain. "bub remember, just a few questions then we head out to eat and we go to my house...and you can sleepover if you want." you brightened at that. nodding frantically as she let out a breathy laugh, "lets do this."

michan raised her fist and knocked twice on the door before silence was the only thing you two could hear. instantaneously, the door opened inwards to reveal a tall man with spectacles and a white buttoned up shirt. the light smell of coffee beans wafted into your face as he opened the door more. an alpha. his sleeves were ritten up so much you couldnt help but ogle at the mans arms that bulged out of his shirt. the shirt itself was having a hard time staying off the mans skin, the buttons so tight you could tell he was very well fit. your heart seemed to have relaxed from what happened prior but it was beating quickly for a very different reason. he was very handsome, you noted. "come in," he gestured while making room for you both. michan took a step first and you swiftly followed after bowing to the man respectfully, he only gave a half smile at that though.

you and michan both took off your shoes and followed the man who walked past a huge living space with windows that were so high they touched the second story cieling. to the left was a very wide kitchen that had marble counter tops and black sleek chairs on the island. it smelt of a bit of mint mixed with dark chocolate. it made you feel hazy at the scent, visibly relaxing as they walked in a-- once again, large room that had an equally large white desk. this was his office, you distinguished, "please, take a seat." his voice knocked the outgoing thoughts you were having.

bringing reality back into your mind, you stated a small 'thank you' before sitting on the black leather cabroile couch. you were grateful you couldnt feel the cushion on your skin, due to the fact that you would be very uncomfortable the whole time. leather and omegas did not mix well often.

"im guessing your the guy who messaged him?" michans voice once again had that tone of dominance in it. she couldnt help it even if she tried, "no, unfortunately, taehyung-ssi could not be here today because of an unexpected emergency." the silver haired man explained while moving a few piece of papers to other side of his desk to have space to see you two on the couch. from the undertones in the way the man spoke, michan knew he was lying but she wasnt sure why. putting her more on edge about being here. however, you seemed to have missed the memo as you quietly ask, "i-is everything, okay?" truly concerned for someone you have never met. michan supressed a petty laugh, knowing you would be upset with her for being insensitive to an -- what you believed to be-- actual urgent situation.

"yes, everythings fine. he should be back soon-" michan couldnt hold back anything else as she heard the man answer you, her very gullible and too kind-hearted friend, with another lie. "look i dont deal with devious men like you often but when i do, i always make sure to put them in there place." michans --yet calm and collected warning was something you were not prepared for in anyway. what happened to the peptalk she had given you a few minutes before? "the two idiots downstairs called you mr. kim on the radio, how are you not taehyung?" michans question did seem to spark something in your mind. you didnt catch that prior due to the fact you were mostly dealing with your legs almost buckling underneath you.

something that you were also not prepared for was how calm and collected the man had kept himself throughout michans tauntings. he sat with a nuetral expression, almost as if he saw it coming from a mile away and already conjured a plan within that time to deal with it. "my apologies for not introducing myself earlier, my name is kim namjoon. my brother was the founder and i am now the owner of hybe corporation, its a pleasure to meet you." he stuck out his hand to which michan looked as if she was close to almost ripping that same arm off. quickly you tried to put away your timidness and stood up and placed your hand in his, it must have caught him off guard, since he didnt squeeze your hand back for a few seconds. you pulled your hand to your chest and felt heat rush to your ears, "m'sorry..i j-just wanted to introduce myself...too." your voice seemed to begin failing on you as the alpha standing before you stared at you as you stuttered through your mess of an apology.

namjoon cleared his throat, recovering from whatever trance he was in as you seemed to make yourself even smaller than before. "no! it's completely fine, encouraged even. you must be the one im interviewing today," he stated with a wider smile. his facial expression seemed to have reassured you enough as your heavy embarrassment was peeled off of your back like a bandaid. you nodded with a nervous laugh, "uh y-yes, thats me. my name is l/n y/n." you sat back down hesitantly as soon as he had done the same. "okay y/n," his voice and your name seemed to have clicked so well together, you had to clear your throat as you felt an oncoming purr.

"and im guessing this is your lovely mate?" he gestured to michan with a slight sarcastic undertone but you did not seem to catch it as michan let out a warning snarl. "o-oh! no! this is my best friend, cho michan. s-shes here as um...m-my support." you explained as namjoons grey eyes flickered over to the woman who seemed to be your best friend and was currently glaring daggers at his face. how could complete opposites be best friends. "is that okay?" you asked nervously.

"i dont see why not." namjoon exhaled while flickering his eyes back to your innocent ones and gave a small smile, to which you returned. your eyes squinted a bit as your smiled, growing more comfortable with the man as he seemed to make you feel relaxed. maybe you just havent spoke to many people but he seemed nice.

"alright, im going to ask you some questions y/n-ssi and from what im aware of this is your first job, correct?" namjoon asked as you quickly nodded. namjoon looked to his computer screen and began typing away, "you are also 24 years old and you graduated high school a year younger than the average omega," he looked at you for answers and all you provided him was a small head nod. feeling shy talking about your little achievements, he just continued asking you questions. "have you applied to any colleges? it says you never pursued your education after that," you exhaled with a shaky breath. "um, y-yes, many.." namjoon observed the way your chest seemed to tighten at the question. however, he decided to just a push a little more. not knowing why he wanted to test your limits even if it was something as small as this. perhaps it was because the way he could see your ankles peaking through the bottom of your sleek pants as you sat. your foot wanting to bounce to convey your anxiousness but you put your hand firmly on your knee. pushing it to the ground until it had no space to move at all from it. "did you get accepted to any schools?"

now this question was something you didnt expect to be speaking about on a job interview. a small piece of your heart stings felt like they were being painfully strung. michan could only look down solemnly as she glanced at your lips parting with intent on your mind, yet nothing came out.

"y/n-ssi, i think if we were going to work together you might want to grow content with being more vocal." you couldnt help but feel startled at the sudden voice behind you. your body jumped with a small whimper, to which michan instantly stood up at, "excuse you! maybe you should work on staying more quiet we are in an interview, if you didnt notice." her heated slits turning its target from the man who leaned against the doorway to namjoon who was still seated and watching the confrontation from his desk. "do you let all of your employees walk all over you or do you actually hold some authority here?" she asked with a menacing growl.

you knew michan was only acting out due to the fact you were an omega and she had come across alot more male alphas than usual in one day. "m-michan-ah, im okay. really, it just startled me." you tried reassuring her but she stayed standing with her hands crossed on her chest. "y/n-ssi, this is yoongi. he is also an owner of hybe," namjoon ignored the female alphas harsh words.

you looked over your shoulder to see the raven haired man walking toward you with a slight smirk, "hello, y/n-ssi~," to say you felt small was an understatement. as looking at him this close you had a few seconds to realize something else, he was also very handsome. he broke distance with you quickly with his long legs, his scent hit you rather quickly. mint was twirling around your head, a beta, you noted. however, you also noticed namjoon and yoongi both have a different charm to them. "o-oh, its a pleasure to meet you," you stuck out your hand for him to shake, he instantly placed his in yours. well, more like yours in his. his large fingers wrapped around your entire hand, his fingertips tickling your inner wrist. "no, please. the pleasure is all mine." he gave a sly smile while still clutching your definite smaller hand. you could feel the tension rise as he still hadnt let go. letting out an embarrassed cough, you removed your hand quickly. not wanting to start anything odd before you started working here and seeing him every day for as long as you lived. you wouldnt want another job if you liked this one, right?

"when namjoon-ah told me we finally have an omega who would want to work with a corporation that has no other omega in sight, to say i was interested was an understatement," the tall mans slender fingers wrapped around his own wrist and laid over his waist. "im sorry? did you just say...no other omegas?" you asked in disbelief. namjoon must have percieved your disappointment and confusion written on your face because he stood up instantly and walked around his desk towards you two.

"i hadnt told him, yet-" namjoons mutters were cut short as the sound of two pairs of irregular footsteps were entering the household, the sound of the front door shutting shortly after. you peered over your left shoulder once again only to be met with strong scents. dark chocolate and melted caramel making your head feel hazy. why could you smell these peoples scents so profoundly?

"i told you! you need to use your cane properly or else it will become a bigger problem for you in the future!" a broad shouldered man with brown locks and golden eyes entered first. a beta. then came a slighter shorter one with black sleek hair that fell slightly over his bare forehead. an alpha. "then ill deal with it in the future, hyung." the alpha rolled his eyes. glancing downwards, you seen what the other man was speaking on, the alpha had a small limp to him. before anyone else could say anything, michan stood up, "this is getting ridiculous. let me guess, their ceo's as well?" her question was directed to namjoon who seemed to have an irritated look in his dark eyes. you bit your bottom lip as you noticed it, feeling afraid. consequently, the look in his eyes were glazed over in professionalism once again. "you are correct, ms. cho. there are seven of us in total working here. y/n-ssi, this is kim seokjin and jung hoseok," namjoon gestured to the two men who seemed to have been a deer caught in headlights.

it was silent for a millisecond too long, you swiftly stood up then hesitantly bowed beside namjoon. registering how much shorter you were to the average beta and alpha. alphas were averagely well built and not to mention tall. betas were very fit and more on the slimmer side due to their ancestors-- wolves, were known to be the glue to the pack. always taking care of the heart of the pack (omega) while the alphas were out hunting. so it says in history books.

"its nice to meet you both," you stood back up with a shy smile and glazed eyes. something that both seokjin and hoseok noted, nonetheless you couldnt help but feel a bit hazy as their scents were still flooding the entire room. leaving only a little bit of air for your lungs not to collapse. "are you just going to keep emitting your pheromones like that? you could make him sick!" michan shouted to stop the ongoing train of silence. the two men glanced at her then back to you, taking in your swaying figure and now drooped eyes. "i-im sorry, i-i didnt mean to hurt...i w-was just upset earlier s-so it..kind of.." seokjin took a step forward with a look of concern in his eyes. not leaning to touch you however, he rapidly reeled in his pheromones. the dark chocolate disappears from your nose and all you could smell now was the gradually fading scent of melted caramel. together it smelt beautiful, so beautiful you could drown in it. "i would never hurt an omega.." jin finished with one final mutter and a solemn look on his face.

"uh no, its okay!" you waved your hands with an embarrassing heat rising to your ears, "it didnt hurt me it just was alot i wasnt prepared for." you fiddled with your tie that laid down your chest, namjoon turned towards you. resulting in you looking up at him, "i would apologize for their behavior but you might need to get used to it since you will be seeing them often." he gave a toothy smile and you swear your cheeks had heated up for a different reason.

"w-wait," your eyelashes fluttered with bewilderment, "seeing them often? does..that mean-" you whispered.

"yes, youre hired y/n-ssi. welcome to the team," yoongi cut you off with a small smirk and his large muscular arms opening wide for you. you were so geniunely excited about the news you merely jumped in them before michan pulled your coat back towards her. "hold on, bub," she growled at the four men she seen were all eyeing her best friend. "i think we are going to end...whatever you call this, early. we applied to other places and they definitely will have better options for him. so thank you but no thank you," she gave a fake smile while pulling you along with her. "what?! michan, please! i just got my first job-"

you pulled your arm away from her grip to which she growled at, "y/n, these guys are not professional whatsoever. i am not leaving you with them-"

to say that you were growing tired of being treated like a child was an understatement. you were finally getting a normal life and you were so eager to impress not only yourself but the others around you. just one opportunity to show that you were a normal human being. just one moment, thats all you could ask for. "enough!" you shouted. michan quickly stopped her rant and looked at you with wide eyes, "im going to take this job because its a very good shot for me. i dont even know any other job that will hire me right know and you know i need the money," michan closed her eyes with a heavy sigh.

the four men stood awkwardly while watching the whole discussion until hoseok whispered to namjoon, "hes kinda fiesty." namjoon only scoffed with a playful grin. "if only you were here earlier."

Okay I've just got this idea for steve x eddie wedding!!

(Bc they dont die/probably might die in my heart)

Since gay marriage was legalized in the US in 2015 they would be roughly 48-52? years old. You cant tell me that the two would definitely be some of the first to get married (same with robin and vickie)

Erica was their wedding planner. She made sure everything was PERFECT (she makes sure there is an icecream stand)

They would definitely have such a fun wedding!! Steve in a white suit, eddie wearing a black suit only the jacket is a leather one (hes definitely also wearing doc Martins)

They also had incredibly sappy speeches (lucas max Dustin and will had a bet in how many times eddie would use his pet names for steve, max wins its was alot)

Wayne and joyce walk them down the isle

(They 1 empty chair for chrissy and every one else who died because of the upsidedown)

The moment they mentioned they started wedding planning robin practically jumped at the idea of being steve maid of honor (she cryed when he asked her, she was so happy) her vickie max erica el and nancy are Steve's groom maids? (Is that a thing??) The hellfire club members make up Eddie's grooms men (one of the members of Corroded Coffin members is his best man)

Dustin is the flower man/ ring bearer because he couldnt pick a side to be on so he chose both! (He may be in his 40s at this point but they're still basically his dads)

He cried the whole time (especially through his speach) bc he was so happy his dads were finally getting their happy ever after every thing they've been through!

Robin is also crying!

Robin trys to make her speach as embarrassing as possible, but bc shes speaking really fast through tears so only a few people understand her

(steve and eddie love it tho and cant blame either of them for crying bc they have been in tears because they've been crying non stop ever since seeing eachother at the alter)

Nancy makes a speech about how shes glad steve found the person he could make his family with! (You cant tell me that these men havnt taken to fostering/ adopting as many kids as possible after everything in Hawkins calms down)

Max does a speach about how much shes happy that her two older brothers are able to have this day for them, even if they are a bunch of idiots who would forget she could hear them from her trailer!!

Wayne, joyce, hopper (and Robin's parents bc I feel like they would love and adopt steve) all also make emotional speeches about their kids, wayne would definitely be the most emotional.

Jonathan is their wedding photographer

They chose to have a simple small wedding cake, (an ice cream cake with a nail bat and guitar decoration on top) their was also alot of rainbow cupcakes (requested by vickie)

Their wedding song is 'Born to be my Baby' by bon jovi (it was a compromise bc steve didnt want heavy metal for their first dance like eddie wanted, and so, bc Steve's Eddie's baby they pick this song instead!!)

eddie definitely sang it to steve while they were dancing! Steve was definitely not crying while laughing at eddie who was definitely not singing it seriously at the beginning.

Corodded Coffin plays live as the wedding band, eddie goes up and joins them for a few songs before going back and joining his husband!! (They still cant believe they're officially married after everything with the upside down they are both still alive and able to openly love eachother)

Steve and robin flex their icecream scooping skills (they still got it even years later)

Eddie is very inlove with his husband

Dustin and will come together and announce the game they prepared for the couple + guests where its basically a scavenger hunt × dnd and everyone has a blast!! Somehow robin and hopper are covered in rainbow glitter, el was using her powers to levitate max out of her wheelchair to help them play, mike is stuck in a tree and Dustin somehow has a bucket on his head!! Steve and eddie loved it!!

Everyone left with massive smiles that day, was a great day and everyone had a great time! And it truly was a day to remember and love <3

Also argyle was the one who officiated the wedding

Hange x fem reader

A/n: This was a request by @deathocean , they requested for hange with shy reader and this didnt really go how i expected but uhh- oh well i still hope its good. Also im so sorry this took so long for a length this short im a very slow writer.

“Hange!” You whisper yelled while you angrily walk over to where the section commander was in their lab.

Hange knew exactly what this is about, they were expecting this and had their arguments ready but they decided to stay quiet about it until you explicitly mentioned it to be really safe.

“Yes my love? Need anything?”

“Why did Erwin mention you telling him that i will be the one presenting the new weapon??” You questioned. Hange knew you never liked talking to people and much less presenting.

Hange heaved a sigh and reasoned. “Y/n baby you need to learn how to get over your fear, so I told him you'd be the one presenting”

“I-” You pause. “Well yes but-” You were interrupted. “Shush, no buts, you're the one who knows this better than anyone, and if you stumble or mess up on anything i'm here to cover for you” Hange was really insistent on this, and you nearly found yourself accepting it, but your fear of presenting to people is too strong.

“Hange please, i didnt agree to this, i can barely talk to one person without getting embarrassed and you expect me to present a project?” You pleaded with Hange but to no avail. They were a very stubborn person and you loved that about them, but not in this situation.

“Y/n youre the one who thought of and engineered this, you'll be the one who can explain it the best.” Hange’s reasoning made you want to falter and accept but you resisted as the fear of messing something up and forever being a laughing stock was your worst fear. You stare at them warily, still thinking and very unsure.

“Darling, i'm here to support you all the way, as i said if you mess up, i'll be right here to cover for you and make sure everything is fine.” You looked at Hange warily and sighed. “I… I guess I can do it,” You pause to think and continue. “as long as you promise to get me cake after.” For a quick second Hanges eyes widened but it was quickly changed to a wide grin.

“Of course love, id even buy a hundred if that means it'll help” Hange wore a huge smile and was ecstatic you were willingly going to face your fear.

“Mhh, also one more thing, if anything goes wrong and i get embarrassed i'm never talking to you again.” Hange’s smile quickly faded and she looked at you worryingly . “C-come again love-?” They squeaked out. “I said, if i mess up and get embarrassed im never talking to you again.” “Wait but sweetheart you wouldnt-” “Oh, i totally would” You say with an air of confidence.

“But whyyy” Now Hange was whining and looked like they were about to cry a little. “It will get you uhhh… maybe about as terrified as me when i mess up” “Well that's just unfair” Now they were pouting, typical Hange behavior. “And how is that unfair?” “Because-”

“Because what?” You butt in. Hanges cheeks were now puffed up and they were still pouting. You were resisting just grabbing them and giving them a big kiss right then and there. But no, you wanted to see them like this first, they were so cute.

“...Youre so mean” They seem to have given up, which surprised you but nonetheless made you feel slightly accomplished.

“Well if theres a chance of you not talking to me after your speech…” Hange goes and tackles you in a hug, catching you by surprise. “Might as well savor my time right now.”

-You proceed to be spoiled rotten everyday until the presentation, im talking chocolates, massages, random proclamations of love and cuddles to the max.

-The actual presentation went smoothly, other than a few stutters here and there you successfully presented all the information clearly and Erwin even applauded you.

gracie goes absolutely ham for nick's homemade (shortbread!) cookies and has to physically restrain herself from eating them all in one sitting! she has a big sweet tooth in general - she's not super crazy about confectionary but she loves baked goods; cakes and muffins and brownies nd whatnot. i think if she HAD to pick just one treat her spanish side would come out in full swing and she'd have to answer with churros <3

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

gracie was vegetarian/casually vegan for about a year after highschool and still mostly prefers plant based meals ! she loves fruits and vegetables and would be quite happy cutting most meats out of her diet altogether tbh. her favourite fruits are apricots and peaches, while her favourite vegetables are bell peppers and coriander :) yeah she's a cilantro fan sorry haters <3

🌙 MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

hm greatest wish currently is the very vague goal of "proving herself" and i guess also um. "making up" for her existence in general, by being the best in her respective field. so i think canonically that just means being Thee best MIV [ever, ideally] lmao, and hopefully making MIV supervisor if she's super lucky. there's not much she wouldn't do for it - she's already closed herself off to most relationships for the sake of her ambitions, and with peace and love to rosy? in a hypothetical scenario where he got in the way of her career i don't think she would choose him unfortunately :( thankfully he seems the last person who would try to do that so ! bullet dodge!

yes ! gracie is deathly allergic to shellfish 👀 she was hospitalized for it once as a kid after an unfortunate seafood paella incident and now she has to carry an epipen around with her everywhere </3

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

in case the answer above isn't obvious, she's VERY quiet. kinda similar to kenzie in a way, tho she's a lot more eloquent/accommodating when she does talk. gracie had a significant speech delay as a child and didn't say her first words until she was around 5 years old, because living with ments made her so naturally comfortable with communicating telepathically that there was never any real incentive for her to try. obviously bullying throughout school didn't help either, and so gracie really tries to "make up" for her loud brain by being as quiet as she possibly can be verbally, as if to balance it out yknow? she's educated, well-read and upper class, so she has a fairly sophisticated/formal speech style, but she's not overly wordy - most of her vocabulary is old fashioned, not verbose. ie she'll use somewhat dated words like "ought" "shall" "needn't" etc but she'll avoid 2 dollar works like. idk. "antidisestablishmentarianism" JKDJKDJFK

as for her voiceclaims, the closest i can possibly get is actually inara serra from firefly hehe :) i was gonna mention it during out marathon but i didnt wanna be annoying KJFGKJFGKJ

gracie's love language is gift giving so she LOVES finding her loved ones the perfect present. she's probably the best person in chicago to get gifts from because she has an insane budget AND she has a literal notes app doc keeping tabs on who wants what for birthdays/christmas/etc. ironically though she's not a big fan of receiving presents - her zero makes it SUPER obvious if she finds a gift disappointing, so she prefers to save everybody the awkwardness lmao. unless its a handmade gift like sally's painting which she'll always cherish, the ideal strategy for gracie is usually just straight up asking her what she wants and then telling her exactly what she's getting, so she doesnt have time to expect anything KJFKJKF. alternatively the safest bet is to take her out and let her pick her own gift, since she's fussy and buying her clothes/perfume/jewelry is always a gamble KJKJGDFKGDFJ SHE'S SPOILT OK!!!! but on the other hand she doesnt expect or need material gifts and greatly prefers thoughtful acts of service or being taken out somewhere nice <3

gracie and ambrose both gain greater appreciations for the other's interests after they start dating 🥺 gracie has never considered herself a big reader and usually only gets through four of five books a year, so she def develops a greater admiration for literature through rosy and loves listening to him talk about books. and vice versa i doubt rosy knew or cared much for art before meeting gracie, but eventually sort of learns to look at art the way she does and loves seeing her analyze and work through a piece ❤❤❤

first main thought: sad. sad sad sad. poor achilles

second main thought: i was thinking abt this as i went to sleep but the difference in 'what an author wants to communicate with a piece of media' and 'what an audience wishes to take from a piece of media' are two different things that ive never thought of much before.

i mean when i read ttt issues, what i want is Lore. i want to learn about the characters, i want to see what makes them tick, i want to learn about their relationships with each other and see how they grow over the years. but thats not necessarily what the authors want to explore with their stories-- like, the nicky story tells you actually very little about nicky as a person or nicky and joe's relationship (at least it doesnt tell you anything we dont already know), and thats not really seemingly the point of the story itself.

but anyways.

ACHILLLESSSSSS

i was honestly expecting smth very different from this one, primarily bc the blurb mentioned andy 'returning' after leaving achilles and i thought that meant her returning to the squad. and bc booker became immortal around the time andy was with achilles, i thought this story would be about them meeting and the obvious clash they would have over andy mourning her relationship (that ended due to her immortality, that she had to let go of due to her immortality) and booker refusing to end his relationships bc he doesnt have the experience there that andy had.

but 'returning' meant returning to her and achilles' house and her finding out how she died, which. rip. i just kind of assumed he died of old age.

AND IT SUCKS bc she left specifically so he wouldnt get hurt, and all she ended up rlly doing is leaving him to die violently alone

i was kind of upset we didnt rlly learned much abt their relationship (what did andy love abt achilles? what did he love abt her? what did they spend their days doing after they retired?) i did love the little bits showing how the two were different, especially in regards to how his life as a runaway slave affected him (and didnt affect andy)

something something andy's immortality granted her the confidence to set aside her weapons so thoroughly for so long, while achilles' past as a slave and respective mortality didnt allow him to be so hasty

but anyways the fact that andy wanted peace so bad-- i mean, like ive said before, we kind of see some of the worst of andy (well, maybe not the worst worst of her) even within the movie. but regardless of how much andy is tired of humanity's shit and how much she likes to swing her axe, she's still a person who wants peace and quiet and safety at the end of the day like anyone else.

its one of a million things i like abt andy. she can be a vengeful god and a doting mother and a thousands-year-long mourning daughter and a tired mercenary & on top of all of those Layers(TM) she can be Just A Person Who Wants Peace. her multitudes are wild to think abt sometimes, how many lives she's led

'but the older she gets the harder she finds conjuring their love in her memory when she comes here. all thats left is the hate and rage that destroyed this place. and that will last forever' 😭

tbh this issue is kind of a monument to how much the immortals lose to bigotry & hatred

and speaking of, the nicky one was alright. like i said you dont really... . learn much abt nicky or joeandnicky. i mean

1. nicky misses joe when hes gone. shocker

2. nicky kills violent racists. double shocker

3. all the violence and hatred nicky witnesses over this period bothers him. huge shocker!

i mean nothing it goes over is a surprise and (unpopular opinion here) im not usually a fan of shmoopy romantic stuff. joe's speech is a huge exception to me and i think its bc the speech is Romance With A Point. that speech isnt just a bunch of flowery sentiments, but it actually tells the viewer quite a bit about joe and nicky's relationship.

(i remember in one of luca's interviews he mentioned that, while reading the tog script, he wondered what a 900 year long relationship would be like, but the answer to his question was pretty much all in the van speech.)

also i think ive mentioned this before, but i tend not to like joenicky fics where joe or nicky have a Big Speech for the other bc pretty much all other romantic sentiment pales in comparison to the van speech for me. and nicky's letter in this story is the same way for me. you can read the whole thing here if you want (the rest of the dialogue within this story is mostly just confederates being racist and nicky being like 'thats nice' before he kills them lmao)

i dunno the whole thing is like. im so sad and lonely. and im killing a bunch of people and that sucks. and im so lonely. and sad. did i mention i was killing people. the sun is mocking me. these clouds symbolize the storm in my heart. im so lonely. and also sad.

i dunno, it didnt unzip me. tho i like how the wine was spiked with that sweet 'joe as the sun' symbolism, love that for us

its also kind of ironically Another TTT Story dealing with 'nicky is killing a bunch of people and hes having a crisis over it'. ive said before, im not a big fan of nicky angst personally + the fact that there isnt much here to actually learn abt nicky + the fact i wasnt huge for nicky's Poetic Liberties + the lack of a solo joe to match this solo nicky kind of made me 'eh' abt it. it wasnt poorly written or anything! i just wasnt ham for it

like with the other ones (moon landing one for instance) even when there was stuff i wasnt huge for, there was other stuff i liked, like most of us didnt care for the depiction of joe and nicky's argument in that story, but the stuff with andy and joe arguing about the moon was cute, and the stuff with nicky and Booker's Relationship Advice was cute. but for this one it was mostly just the letter. and i wasnt huge for the letter, haha

the hell is mystreet season 6??

(warning, long post ahead)

ok so before i start this

1) ive never posted shiiiit on tumblr before so watch me suffer, im just here to talk about stuff that my friends who dont know anything about aphmau have to listen to me rant about for hours on end

2) i havent seen mystreet in like years (except season 3, i watch that frequently since im laurance and shadow knight deprived) so please bear with me because i might be completely wrong on this lol. it’s just like, pointing out things i remember

3) im sure someones already talked about this but who cares

4) im gonna do this stupid thing where i just explain myself a bit at first, if you dont want to read that just skip to the part where you see “the actual thingy:” in bold and italics

5) mild disclaimer; i am completely aware that jessica is not a professional writer. i know that she did her best to appeal to her fans, and honestly, respect for that. while this post will come off as aggressive and probably look like hate, that’s not my intention in the slightest. it’s just... intense criticism. im sure y’all probably already know that, but yeah, just stating that anyways. i do believe that jess is doing her best, and in no way do i want to dismiss any hard work she’s done. that being said; prepare for a very strongly opinionated post.

ok here we go

one of the main reasons i stopped watching aphmau back in 2017 was the mess that was season 4. like, in the first few episodes of the emerald secret, i thought “woah!! this is kinda cool, im a sucker for mystery!” because of course i was, it was something new and something exciting. the only problem i had with it at the time was kim, but that’s just because i always found her annoying and out of place. i just didn’t understand why garroth dragged her along and honestly i still don’t to this day BUT, moving on.

anyways, as the season progressed, 13 year old me was of course just “:0!!” the entire time--that is, up until the reveal of the main villain. i remember watching the episode, seeing the reveal of ein, and then stopping. like, just for a quick break, but i was still just overwhelmingly disappointed. like, and this was the time when pdh was airing and ein just got made alpha (i think?) and i had really really liked eins character in pdh. either way, that really sucked and actually opened my eyes to a lot of things.

one of the main things bein’ the fact that this was supposed to be a slice of life kinda series that decided to take a turn to a more edgy kinda approach. which, i guess i regularly wouldnt mind? but seeing as mcd was kinda bein neglected at the time it just didnt sit right with me. BUT WHATEVER, point is i stopped watching mystreet all together at the end of season 4.

like, a whole year later my brother tells me that shit’s getting intense in season 5 + 6 of mystreet, and my brilliant self decided to give it a shot--but i refused to watch all of season 5, so i only stepped in when ein made an appearance. so whenever that was, that’s where i picked up because i didnt care enough to see

and y’know--i honestly didn’t hate it at first. in fact, i found it oddly cool. it wasn’t enough to get me into aphmau again, but it was enough to where i was intrigued. i dont know why, but i never watched the finale, so i didnt see the ending until just a few weeks ago--but back then, i thought it was neat. looking back on it however... im just so confused.

side note: only got back into aphmau this time around because of mcd. mainly because like, i adore the first season and the first half of the second season. and being nearly 18 now, im a lot more appreciative of plot and well-written characters n junk.

the actual thingy:

ok back on track. imma stop spilling out my story of how i got back into aphmau, and lets just skip to what rewatching mcd made me realize of season 6′s plot and shit:

-emmalyn. how the fuck does ghost even remotely exist? if she’s emmalyn as claimed, then why have we already seen emmalyn in the mystreet universe alive? look i get that creators can do whatever they want with their stories but at the same time please provide some sort of explanation good god. and maybe they did and i just havent seen it, so if there is one--let me know. but until that day imma just sit here confused as fuck

-ok so imma just be real, the whole ‘ultima’ thing is just... not great. in my opinion, anyways. like... i saw someone mention this in another post, but if this ultima stuff was like, a really big deal, why isnt it mentioned in mcd? though i suppose since its a curse of sorts, it could be later on past the time period in which mcd takes place--but even then, how did it manage to make its way into aaron’s family bloodline?

-WHY IS EVERYONE AT STARLIGHT ITS JUST SO CONVINIENT like what happened to this place being the most expensive shit on the planet or whatever, and how the gang happens to run into like, the werewolf trio and blaze and kai and guy and nate all of these people like god damn life doesnt WORK LIKE THAT

-im sorry but turning people into relics? thats... thats the best you could come up with? plus, like, how does that even work? in mcd it’s established that relics are separate entitles that choose their wielder, based on a ‘personal’ connection (being a descendent of a previous wielder) or if they’re a good match personality and (i think?) moral wise. so the whole turning-people-into-relics doesnt make much sense to be honest.

-irene really over here using her god powers to only keep her friends alive like god damn not a great god if you ask me

ALSO, another point, if its seriously that powerful of a relic getting one from just a magic user like lucinda, why go through the trouble? i mean i guess ofc youd want the “all powerful” one that the ultima produces but i mean damn whats the point

-ok this is just going to bother me but in one of the episodes (i think might have been in season 5 actually) where that like, guardian dude was chasing aphmau and zane and at one point they split up and the dude just chuckles at zane diverting paths and goes under his breath “youre not the important one here”, suggesting that aphmau somehow is? first of all, id argue that any ro’meave is significantly more important than aphmau was, especially not knowing much about her other than that shes with aaron. i might be missing some bits an pieces, but if i was that dude id forget about aphmau and go after zane

-killing off derek for shock factor sucked, and i know the moment was supposed to be really sad because like “oh :( aarons dad is sacrificing himself for his son” but lets be real dereks still was a shitty father and i dont think his reasons for doing what he did was very good at all

-less about plot or more like: why the absolute fuck did the gang bring kim along instead of, oh i dont know, a life-long friend? like, laurance or dante maybe?? im sure its explained, i never saw aphmaus year or most of season 5, but god DAMN id hate to be apart of this friend group AND GOD LIKE, imagine reconnecting with an old friend who ends up getting closer to your best friends and taking priority in their lives over you (cough laurance) like god damn lol

-im just going to preface this one with: i dont remember everything that’s happened, so if im wrong i apologize in advance--but (you actually can correct me if im wrong and please do) didnt like, irene reincarnate her friends in order to give them better lives? I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE, ITS JUST WHAT I REMEMBER--however, if im correct, then:

a. why the hell would she bring back someone like zane, or gene, or ivy, etc.

b. why the hell do they all have the same exact names? first and last? again, im aware that the whole mystreet+mcd tie wasn’t originally supposed to be there, but i dont think that means such a coincidence can be excused? its just a bit much if you ask me.

c. why the hell is the fact that (as much as i literally hate this) aaron is a decedent of shad being ignored? like, you’d think that something like this would be something thats actually important, or something the demon warlock couldve taken advantage of. or are we completely erasing every other connections to divine warriors besides aphmau + irene? because even if irene did reincarnate them or do whatever it is she did, does she even have the power to sever the connections between them and their ancestors? my guess is, no.

d. speaking of irene why on earth was aphmau able to talk to/see irene, they’re literally the same person are they not? did she like, fuckin reincarnate herself without actually doing it?? BUT--i will give it to them, the demon warlock did refer to aphmau as something along the lines of being “one of the 3 parts of her broken soul” or something like that. however, my point still remains. also what are the other two did i miss that or is it never explained

now; if irene in fact did not ‘reincarnate’ her friends then please ignore that little bit right there :)

but yes, those are a few of the problems i have with season 6 off the top of my head. i would go into like, season 4 and 5 more as well, but i honestly didnt feel like it. at some point i might go into other things, like how important laurance could have been to the plot of these later seasons, or HELL, even dante. i might also go into what could have made season 4, 5, and 6 actually good--maybe... a rewrite? perhaps? but im getting too far ahead of myself, so i just leave you with this for now.

and i know that as soon as i post this 15 more things are just going to pop into my head BUT im going to try and not edit this post because why stress myself with that even more

Before we go to the next thing, I have this assumption that chanyeol and baekhyun are two members that have the highest popularity in sk, either they are the top 3 or top 4, and my reason is bcs everytime there are individual album/photobook covers sold offline, their individual covers sold out the fastest, everytime, even with nature republic stuffs, ok so there's this possibility that we keep seeing yeolmaes and bbhls on each other's throat everytime bcs well both of them are two of the most popular exo members in SK (i mean even in china, chanyeol and baekhyun are the most popular members with sehun, there's data for this)

ANY.? what I know is: there is none, none at all zero zip nothing, and if there's at least one or two idols, then its just one or two idols right -And thats it anon, thats just about it, idols dont have the absolute freedom of speech, they never do, and its hurting them all of them, all they can say is: "I love EXO, I miss EXO members the most, EXO is my home" and most solo stans who see that will just say "its bs" yet solo stans are also asking for proofs that the members relationship are fine -None of these kpop idols ever say anything about hate speech from their fans that are thrown to their friends/bandmates, and this kind of thing happens in every fandom anon, not just chanyeol and baekhyun, it's just how korean entertainment industry is, idols never have the ultimate freedom to say or do anything

hi ty for asking me im vibrating. havent gotten to talk about this au now for three years and now that chapter 2 is like real and this time i can like........draw occasionally and i have more understanding of nuance...... [grips table] [screams]

this isnt quite what you asked but heres what's everyone from chapter 1 has been Up To with a little bit of context (and under a read more bc it got LENGTHY):

kris - professional stay at home teen (they live w/ asgore n help run the flower shop sometimes. this decision was entirely bc i dont like toriel). was wrongly diagnosed w Sudden Soul Rejection when they were incredibly young and given an experimental transplanted soul as a replacement. it works for them fine, give or take having to see gaster once a month for checkups. but sometimes the soul makes them skittish n decides they're going to sit in front of the pc and play 30 consecutive hours of a certain simulation game and not even let them drown people in the pool. if it were entirely up to them, they'd be like. passing out on the sofa to documentaries about bigfoot. or practicing cool knife tricks to impress their friends at their next tabletop meetup

- EDITED IN: the soul is kind of their friend. they are wearing a hypothetical get along shirt. most of the time, they agree on actions and things to do. tends to refer to themself + their soul as we/us which originally was just something they did in their head but they kept slipping in speech/text n just became a Thing of how they talk. switches to 'I/Me' whenever smth is wrong.

- also edited in: they believe the soul they have is their original soul bc nobody has told them otherwise. whenever theyre like 'oh yeah we think about our soul n view it as a separate entity to us like. all the time. it likes to hurt if we make too many choices it doesn't seem to like and kind of forces us to be a toned down version of what we want to be but thats just how souls are haha' and everyone is like.... toriel - head of H0MEWOR1D (H01)'s department of education; kind of lost her roots as a simple math teacher as she was pushed into a lot of power she didn't even really seek out. divorced asgore over some miscommunications in their relationship; also loosely as a result of grief from asriel's death

asgore - the same. runs a lil flower/gift shop. people come in more to talk with him than to buy flowers most of the time, though

asriel Flowey - he's back in flower form, thanks to the government an accident. causes a lot of technology glitches wherever he goes, and wants revenge. isn't sure how to go about it. asriel "died" around 8 years before the story takes place and kris still misses him and refuses to even THINK about even the IDEA of calling someone their sibling after what happened, just in case it somehow happens a second time

susie - more of the same really. she spends most of her time either at grillby's (she's sort of become his assistant n helps with opening/closing. it just happened) or getting into low-stakes trouble w/ kris

noelle - she's in the city's equivalent of college and shes so tired. shes So Abysmally Tired n got kinda pushed 2 follow in her mom's footsteps. she's rarely around anymore except through text or on monsters & mages (dnd) night. (however.........she will come back w/ a long break n hang out w everyone again)

berdly - tbh i didnt even consider berdly when i made the au initially. idk what he's doing. probably in a similar situation to noelle??? canonically got kicked out of the M&M group due to clashes w/ other players but lurks in their group chat to posts memes sometimes

didnt rly think of any other of kris' classmates (+ their families) after ch1 and probably will continue to not, until chs 3-5 come out and i gotta whip up roles and histories for like. a lotta guys all of a sudden. i also forgot about noelle's parents

sans - runs a convenience store that everyone kind of thinks is a front, but also it has really cheap snacks and the local teens make a point of stopping there after school. so essentially, more of the same papyrus - similar to ut. is a very polite and sweet boy but you'll know when he's coming

grillby - he's back. he runs a bar like back in ut but the cozy vibes and weird-for-a-bar hours keep attracting kids who need parents, so half of his menu is comprised of overly sweet mocktails. usually only frequented by monsters

QC - same as usual. has a "rivalry" with grillbz but, theyre besties and have a book club

mettaton - he's real and he's back. he's similar to how he is back in ut w/ his EX body. likes to hang out at grillby's and talk to unsuspecting fans. has a show for everything

napstablook - similar to how they are in ut. helps mtt with making music sometimes. doesn't leave the house too often, but spends a lot of time posting on undernet

undyne - unfortunately. more of the same. she is a cop in the monster district. i am also upset by this but couldn't think of anything better for her

alphys - a doctor studying under dr. gaster in the hopes she'll one day take over his research. she spends most of her time as a nurse with a bigger title, though, and blocks out the weirdness of her job with anime.

gaster - weird guy. H01's top soul researcher and resident House wannabe. trying to manufacture the ultimate soul that can be controlled with simple internal switches, but so far he's only had 1 (very limited) success with a certain human. monsters just melt, and darkners just sorta......get weird... he's onto Something, though.

ralsei - lonely boy with some very strange hobbies. popular on UnderNet for poetry, baking videos, and general cryptid vibe. is the DM for the monsters & mages group (also seems to think everything is actually very fine in H01 when it is very much not)

lancer - about the same. professional Round Boy. lives w/ rouxls full time. follows susie around like a lost puppy and calls himself her "underling."

rouxls - runs a hotel/casino kind of deal where the objective Bad Guys hang out, and usually ends up doing any of the spade king's paperwork.

spade king - mafia godfather. kind of a dick. don't play cards with him

seam - works with the spade king as his right hand cat more or less because they have for a lot of years and are in that 'sunk cost fallacy' zone. thinks of retiring to a quiet life in the monster section of town like, daily

jevil - used to work with the spade king, but got imprisoned for Crimes. got weird after The Accident (separate from asriel's accident)

temmies (all) - dont really get mentioned except offhandedly but they run the monster space station. so far, are the only monsters who have ever been to space.

yeah i dont have much so far for characters. in the original version of the au i accidentally made darkners as a whole just kinda..... not great? like all sorts of weird organized crime ties n sort of going out of their way to be A Problem to the city (not even in like. a revolution way. in a working against them but with the same goals kinda way). with the whole context it worked At The Time, bc i just had the spade king to look to as a villain, and also in this au the darkners are just trying to survive a world that ultimately was not built for them (that humans think they own, and monsters sort of... seeing this and wondering what it'll mean for them whichever one wins), but w/ new info abt how the dark world works n more guys to work with i want to kind of. edit the vibe a bit. like yea darkners will ultimately do whatever it takes to take over H01, but maybe in a better way than like. idk. all this. it doesnt have to be peaceful or anything it just has to be more adaptable as we meet more kinds of darkners

however yeah i thought up 'queen as some sort of childless mommy blogger/influencer' and that completely revived all memory i had of this au. she should be on mtt's talkshow. also she sells collectible wine glasses w/ her likeness

spamton is another one of gaster's failed soul experiments, but he hasn't melted yet, and seems............fine? sort of. so he hasn't gotten decommissioned yet. he does want to give you malware tho. hot monster singles in your area n all that

Bad Batch thoughts & predictions Ep 12

Continuing these written reactions/predictions somewhere cause itd be fun I think to see what actually ends up happening and remembering what I thought at the time so im dumping it here, youre welcome. (Feel free to discuss if you want) if you want to keep up with it im gonna be tagging these as #jay rambles about bb

- So I sort of expected it by the end of last episode but it seems like last episode was a start of an episode arc about hera's family, which, for rebel's fans I'm sure it's cool and exciting and maybe answers some questions or will actually show things discussed in rebels maybe, but as someone who hasn't seen rebels yet, I really hope this episode and the next few have more bad batch screentime, cause we were a little robbed last episode lol (but in a way I do still enjoy this stuff too, because im sure when I DO watch rebels it'll make the experience better). -- I'm not disliking this arc or anything, but up to this point we've kind of had almost mandalorian style 'one episode one adventure' sorts of episodes, and personally I really hope we get more of that (which I think we will), because while this is all new content and everything, we all have to admit clone wars had some less interesting filler arcs here and there, and I just hope bb doesn't fall the same way (across all of its seasons, im not very concerned about it so far from what we've seen of season 1) because if there is filler, I'd rather sit through a couple of the one episode stories, rather than a 3-4 episode story that takes nearly a month to get through if im disliking it, mostly for the fact that even if we got those 1 ep fillers, its more stories and more likely I'd like at least one. ---kinda rambling about this unnecessarily atm cause while again right now I think bb is fine, I just want the future to be that way too. - fffff every time I see howzer on screen I think of that fucking audio thats "here comes the boy, hello boy~" and honestly can you blame me he is so precious like ugh I swear dave you better be nice to him -- YOU CAN TELL HE FEELS SO BAD AND GUILTY LIKE IT HURTS - hey admiral can you not be MEAN to howzer when he is trying to be fucking helpful -- ;-; BRO im saying it so much already but I feel so bad for howzer like dude someone help him --- imo it feels like its sort of setting up howzer for something more important in the show kinda, at least for his character. Like we can clearly tell he doesn't really agree with the empire and I think they're going to do something with that. He's probably undercover for someone against the empire but I get the bad feeling they're gonna pull a Fives and have him go against the empire and help everyone else somehow but then he will probably end up dead because we cant have nice things. - hello cross... bet you wont be saved this episode - Ok good, some more bad batch here already. -- ALSO GONKY BEING DEFECTIVE!!!! EVEN GONKY IS DEFECTIVE LIKE BB THATS SO CUTE! - uh, im not the only one getting the leia transmission vibes from hera, right? -- ok, again I haven't seen rebels so I dont know BUT if hera has the ability to talk to bb, couldn't she have done so in rebels? Yeah she's older and im sure better at fighting and defending herself and all that, but wouldn't it still be possible for her to have gotten in some kind of rough situation in Rebels to ask for bb's help again? I super doubt bb made any appearance of any kind in Rebels, so doesn't that imply that she lost communications with them? What happens to bad batch >> - bad batch not wanting to help but because omega really wants to you can see its making hunter soften up and I appreciate it - bruh what??? Taa is dead af, like theres no way the show is gonna pull some magic and be like 'oh yep here he is' thing??? Like this has to be a lie, but even then, what even is the plan here?? Saying "oh hes recovering" well he can't be recovering forever, how does that seem like a good plan to lie about that?? People are gonna find out?? - "Great just what we need" from Wrecker about crosshair MAKES ME ANGRY LIKE??? YES?? DONT BE MAD AT HIM ITS NOT HIS FAULT??? SAVE YOUR FUCKING BOY??? -- oooo then the rest of bb doesn't comment about it literally gsjrkgbdkfbg why do they not care about him???? Like it seems they legitimately dont care about crosshair, even though theyve been together for so long like even before the show came out they

had history together and were all really close. I know people argue "oh well its just difficult to save him and its unrealistic for them right now" but so what? Even if they aren't trying to save him they should at least CARE about him. --- Which is also like the thing with echo and fives!!!! Like Echo didn't seem to care much at all when Rex mentioned fives even a little! Or even about seeing Rex that much!! Dave I'm gonna need some answers my guy, cause you humanized these characters but then you dont make them act that way so like whats up. - Lucky hunters abilities came in handy - Back to crosshair for a second im predicting they 100% arent saving him this season. There was a poster released part way through the season and he's not even on it... makes me so sad. - "I'd do the same for you." ;-; that didnt need to get that deep - CROSSHAIR BETTER NOT START SHIT WITH HOWZER - Howzer helping Hera's parents or at least implying that is good but that also means im right so far and therefore worried >> -- HES GOING TO GET FUCKING CAUGHT I BET TALKING TO THEM LIKE THIS AT SOME POINT AND HOW MUCH DO YOU WANNA BET ITS GONNA BE CROSSHAIR THAT CATCHES HIM --- Cham stfu its literally so obvious that howzer is trying to be genuine, also if he's kind of undercover for him like what the fuck do you expect howzer to do if he has to play along with the empire to keep his cover?? "Won't make that mistake again" Fuck off like honestly. ---- #stopbeingmeantohowzer2021 - "A little help" and the gentle "Hey" ahh love it - I'm really enjoying this whole them fighting in the ships sequence - "Stay here and guard the capitol" SCARES ME -- Please for the love of god bad batch don't get howzer killed --- or plot B Bad batch maybe run into howzer but save him and take him with you at least temporarily ---- oh god.... bb is helping heras parents escape and that means howzers gonna get in trouble.../probably replaced by crosshair - Crosshair is smart but thats also badddd - The scene of howzer and crosshair looking at each other is killing meeeeeeeee - Ohhh is howzer gonna stop them before they go out the door? -- YES HE IS SEE WHAT A GOOD BOY HE IS - (please fucking listen to him I beg) - Aw dude I just had a thought that breaks my heart... howzer cares about his squad and "trying to get through to them" but what if his squad is clones as well and the chips... that hurts me so badly... -- Like we all know howzer is a sweet boy by now but ughhh like the thought that he doesnt want to leave them even though they are doing whats wrong shows just how much he cares and I really hope he doesn't get into trouble because of what he's saying to them, but you know he totally would do it because he seems to care about them so much and :( bad batch more like sad batch --- This is the kind of compassion I wanted from bb for crosshair hunter kind of looks back at howzer as they leave him and I doubt itll mean anything but I really hope that maybe seeing how much howzer cares will make hunter care a little too... - *sigh* howzer is getting left behind by them which we know why but yeah... now he's definitely going to be in trouble... I just hope they don't hurt him... - OH GOD HOWZER BABY DONT -- He's making a speech and I know he's trying to sway them but you know damn well this is gonna go so badly for him because of the chips and crosshair is watching so you know howzer is gonna get fucked here and I know what hes trying for but I really wish he didnt just do that because now its blatantly obvious he's gonna be against them ;-; - Wow ok im kinda shocked people are siding with him (I guess cause theyre not all clones right) but I feel so bad for themmmmm - Crosshair missed multiple shots? Uh what? I didnt think that was possible lol - bb please come back for howzer and the others at some point.... -- I guess maybe if hera's parents are going to organize rebels against the empire maybe they will help them but I somewhat doubt it... - Ok I know that crosshair requesting to hunt them was supposed to be this big moment and all but I

can't help but feel like its a little underwhelming (but dont get me wrong still cool vibes) because he's kind of already been doing that anyway?? Or has tried to several times?? So I don't get why its a big deal, however, I do have a possible prediction: We know that bb got their chips removed, (crosshair doesn't, I know that) and so that eliminates the idea that they will get caught and actually go bad like crosshair, but it does leave a possibility where maybe they get captured and then *pretend* to be bad? And that could lead to a better possibility of helping crosshair (they wont) or maybe howzer and the other rebels or something? Cause I also feel like its significant that they brought up how the war will eventually come to them and bb will be a part of it no matter what eventually, and it makes obvious sense theyd be on the rebels side of it, so maybe something like that goes on, idk.

just like that it was done, it was posted. now, all you had to do was wait. someone was bound to call eventually.

after 3 weeks you were about to re-post the ad, your phone rang. someone from san Antonio, as far as you were concerned you knew of no one who lived in that corner of the world.

you took a chance and answered the call.

YN: hello!

Jared: yes, im looking for YN

YN: thats me

Jared: perfect, my name is Jared Padalecki. i’m a single father to a 4 year old boy named Thomas. he’s my mess maker & i love him to bits. but balancing between work and parenting is alot harder than most people think. my wife had divorced me she felt like i didnt care enough about her or the foundation she built, so one night she walked out and i havent seen her since. so anyway i was looking through the ads for live in nanny when i came across yours. your ad drew me to it, im sorry if this sounds too forward but its been hard.

YN: not at all. so what are the terms of this job?

Jared: well, as we speak im just finishing the details of your flight to San Antonio which first of all i need your current location like where you are coming from and how much baggage you are bringing.

YN: thats very kind of you to book me a flight. im coming from San Francisco with 3 suitcases and 2 carry ons. most of it are small keepsakes and other sich clothing items i pick up along the way. but not a big deal i just dont have a permenant home to leave anything at. so if you dont mind me coming with all my little nik naks and figurines...

Jared chuckled in the background before he spoke.

Jared: girl, i think we can deal with that. ill buy some wall shelves and a special case for your statues and figures, with enough room that should you want more you can get more. There will be a vehicle you can use to transport my son to school and do errands and stuff like that, there will be a spare room included for you with your own bathroom. The shopping can be done by you after you drop my son off to school on a day of your choosing. If you like all that your duties do not include yard maintenence. You are free to take my son out for shopping trips as well, you get a shared card to my all expense account to do all your spending for the house and for yourself. It goes straight to my account it's all good. I want your time here to be awesome.

YN: this is my cell, please tell me you have some good news about my flight details.

Jared: check your texts.

You check your messages before you go back to the call.

YN: thats a good flight, so what kind of plans are for when i get there.

Jared: well if you want we can go get the groceries when you arrive, after we leave the airport. then we can go for lunch and get you a few pretty things. sign some bank papers to put your name in my accounts.

Yn: that sounds good, I've just sent notice to my landlord, I'm just packing up some of my figures now. I'm gonna have to get my license and stuff switched over to Texas state license but I'm excited for this.

Jared: i know as am i its been a while since we had any type of female presence in the house. we havent any such thing, but tomorrow that all changes. i know that you are gonna bring a light into our lives that hasnt been here in well ever.

YN: glad i can help, now lets see whats the day tomorrow yields.

Jared: i am so excited, so is my son. he keeps asking when you are gonna be here. but it is gonna be a happy day tomorrow. i know that this is gonna sound strange, but i hope your the one that can save me.

you heard his tone change instantly, you felt the power coming from it. you felt the wet in your panties. you were not okay in the slightest. but you felt amazing at the same time.

YN: i guess ill let you go. ill shoot you a text when i get to the airport. cause i want to help you. i want to be the one to save you.

neither of you knew what the hell just happened, neither of you would remember what was said, at the end of it neither of you would be able to state the words of the other. it will remain that way till a different day in the near off future.

Jared: ill see you tomorrow... YN.

YN: jared.

the call ended, it was the moment when you felt like you could breathe again. the moment when you felt as though it would be your last. the moment when you felt like you were on cloud 9.

you went to the cornerstore to get a few travel items. a few other things as well. a lot of times before you travel you do this kind of big shop, but this time was not like most times. Jared was providing everything for you, you had to bring you and what you currently owned, as well as your documents and stuff like that.

after cleaning most of what you could in the apartment, you set your alarm and went to bed. you woke up to your 6:00am alarm. it was a long time but you were also a good half hour to the airport. you wanted plenty of time for check in and travel distance.

finishing packing, leaving your keys to the apartment in the hands of your landlord who helped you bring your bags out the front door. she wished you a safe trip and to call if you were ever in the area again.

you brought your bags to the cab and got in. you told the driver to take you to the airport. upon arrival at the airport, the cab driver helped you load your bags onto a cart and drove off. you pushed the cart into the airport, went to the check in desk.

check in lady: may i see your ticket and passport please?

You hand over your ticket and passsport. the lady scans your ticket and hands both your passport and ticket back to you.

check in lady: alright your good to go, the gift shop is open if you want to stop there, its just on your left passed security.

Yn: do I give you my suitcases! Well at least the ones that aren't carry ons.

Check in lady ushers for a security guard to come round to take the 3 suitcases from you. To which you smile and thank them and head off to go through security.

Security guard: please put all your bags in a bin, your jacket and shoes as well as your jewelry in this bin and then you can stand on this square we will bring you through and go from there.

you did as asked. you complied you went to stand on the square, were waved through, the thing didnt beep but you were still patted down and then given your stuff back. sent on your merry way, you were happily walking through the airport again.

you went to the gift shop, you were buying a few puzzle books to keep you entertained on the flight. as well as a dress off the rack and some playing cards (one of each type), and some statues. these ones were small but made you smile.

you paid for everything and then went to the bathroom to change and organize your bags. you come out of the bathroom, your hair is up in a ponytail. you go take a seat holding your passport and ticket.

after half hour of sitting there, your flight number was called. You pulled out your phone, texting Jared.

Yn (by text): morning, I am about to board my flight

Jared (by text): morning, I hope you have a safe flight, Thom and i cant wait to see you. Thom made you a sign we will be holding it, you have my word and honor that we will be good, we will all get along quite good.

YN (by text): of course, as do i. i look forward to getting to San Antonio and beginning a new life. the pre flight is starting ill let you know when i land.

Jared (by text): have a safe flight. see you in a few hours. i gotta bathe the kiddo.

The pre flight took a bit longer than you thought it would, but Jared's message was one you ended up saving as a screenshot. You listened to your music when the flight attendant said we were free to use the screens ahead of us and whatever else.

You even did some puzzle books and wrote in your journal.

You were nervous, of course you were nervous. This was the first time you were gonna meet a single dad and a son. Thoughts of what they might look like floated through your mind. The thoughts of the life you were stepping into were beyond what your mind could conjour.

But the way he spoke to you said something about saving you, made you wonder if something more was happening to him.

Something maybe in his past that might be coming after him now. There was a darkness in his voice that you couldn't shake.

But you shoke it off, you were not gonna let these thoughts consume you. You waited for the hours to pass, and they did rather quickly.

For what was once 30 mins that had passed, became an hour and a half. You were almost there. 8 am quickly turned into 1030am there was still half hour to go.

This was it the landing checks the whole pack up whatever you took out, close the trays un recline your seats, take out and shut off your music speech came quickly. You put away the books and things, you held your phone in one hand using the other to get up form your seat. You followed the people out of the plane.

You walked out onto the concourse and made sure you were lookin good before you stepped onto the escalator.

Jared was watching, but when his eyes landed on you coming toward him he smiled. He couldn't help himself. A little voice in his head told him not to smile, but to jump you instead. Jared ignored that voice for he didn't want to do anything harmful with Thom around. Even then he wouldn't. he instead watched you walk toward him.

Jared: YN.

YN: you must be Jared. It is a pleasure to meet you.

You both shake hands but a spark flows between both of your hands. Before you place your bags on the ground and look at Thom.

YN: you must be the little cutie. Did you make this sign all by yourself?

Thom nods and gives you a hug which you graciously return. You were feeling happy.

Jared: i think we should go wait by the luggage bay so we can grab your luggage. Then we can head off for lunch and shopping and paper filling.

YN: the luggage should have started coming out by now anyway right?

Jared: possibly. But i want to hear more about you, your adventures and can i just say that dress is delectable.

There it was again, that deep dark tone to his voice. He now held his hand out for your bags as Thom was urging for you to carry him. Jared carried your carry ons, you carried Thom who just smiled happily.

Jared: ive never seen Thom take kindly to anyone before. This is gonna work out just fine.

YN: thom is so sweet, i look forward to working with him on a daily basis. I also look forward to helping you with the house.

You smiled as thom came up to you and sat in your lap. Jared just watched amazed by your skill with kids.

As the luggage came round you pointed out your suitcases to Jared who grabbed them placing them on the cart.

You held thom who just contently hugged you. He nestled himself against the crook of your neck, soft snores filled yours and Jared's ears shortly after.

Jared: he barely slept last night he was too excited. I'm not surprised that he is sleeping now.

Jared says as you all walk to the car, Jared with the luggage cart, you holding thom. You gently placed thom in the car, you watch Jared place the luggage in the trunk.

Jared: and you are the miracle worker, he is asleep. He will sleep till we wake him for lunch. He will also hopefully sleep through the bank and licencing appointments.

Before he could say another word you went over and gave him a kiss to his cheek. The air between you both was growing thin.

This would have been your first kiss if not for the fact that jared’s watch went off.

Jared: we have to be at the bank in half an hour. Which is perfect but first i want to try something. Just dont move.

You didnt move you stood there as Jared slid his hand around your waist. And placed a soft kiss to your neck. Then moved to whisper in your ear.

Jared: a little bit of food for thought. The darkness is growing inside me and i swear i will hold it back as long as i can. But you need to understand you are the only one who can stop the darkness.

You went round to your side of the vehicle. Feeling a little flustered. Jared was behind you, you turned to see him, his eyes starring at you. His hand on your own, you feel a spark, you feel that same spark that you both had felt back in the airport, when you first met.

The ride to the bank was good, you and jared talked and went over a list for shopping and made a list of things to do when you arrived to Jared’s home. You were done the bank & licensing appointments.

Deciding that it would be easier pick up take out for lunch as Thom was still sleeping. Like he was out like a light. You guys were able to quickly go in follow the list and get everything on the list. Finally on the road with lunch and heading home to Jareds.

YN: so i guess i will need to set up some stuff and unpack.

Jared: ill even help you set up and build the shelving and things. Believe me your suite is gonna be your style when we are through with it. We are almost there. Then we will get you settled. And its still early in the day.

YN: lets hope that we can get a majority of this done before thom wakes up.

Jared: or at least un pack the car or have the lawn care people help with that as well. Ill just pay them extra for it.

Within a few moments after that you guys pull dup to a gate, where Jared used a key card to open it.

Jared: welcome to your new home YN!

From that point in the day you and Jared and thom spent it getting acquainted, you did some schooling with thom, jaredd helped you set up your suite, Jared and you celebrated with a glass of wine each before bed from then on. More little moments were stollen like the one that happened in the airport.

Something worse would be a drift in the near future. you didnt know what but you had a feeling that something would come to light that you would never expect in a million years.

~its now been 8 months and 12 days since you came to live with Jared and Thom. you settled in quite nicely. you drove back and forth to get thom to and from school, you cooked, cleaned and you happily did all the laundry. now we start our story again on the last day of school, with you just having picked up Thom from school and are in the car driving back home~

you had just gotten on the freeway Thom had passed out a while back for his afternoon nap. you were just happy for a small moment of peace and quiet. but your bluetooth came through the car at a volume that thankfully didnt wake Thom.

you saw it was Jared so obviously you answered.

Jared: hey hows it going?

Yn: good, thom is having a nap, im just on the freeway. how was work?

Jared: good, i couldnt wait for the day to be over. i have a surprise for you.

YN: for me or for me and thom or for all 3 of us

Jared: call it a family surprise.

YN: wait im part of the family. none of my jobs previously had ever considered me part of the family. its nice to finally be included in an actual family.

you could hear jared chuckle before he continued to speak.

Jared: i know you are new to the whole permenant family thing, and we are always gonna have a home here for you. but i want to celebrate the start of summer with a tradition.

YN: something new or something old?

Jared: a new tradition one that starts as soon as you guys get home...

YN: and will i need to pack a bag?

Jared: yes although i had my assistant at work go out and buy you a few new things for this trip today, so how long till you guys get home...

suddenly thom pipes up from the background.

thom: hi daddy.

Jared: hey little man, ive got a surprise for you when you and YN get home.

YN: we will see you in 10 minutes jared.

Jared: see you in the driveway

the call ended and you handed thom a sucker from your center console. he smiled and giggled all the rest of the way home. you pulled into the driveway parking in your normal spot.

Jared comes round to bring thom out first, after spinning him around before setting him down on the ground, he comes round to your side. he opens the door and extends his hand to you.

he helps you out of the car, and walks you to the door. where you all enter before Jared send thom up to his room to get ready. guess he had told thom the secret before he told you, but you were now standing in the living room with Jared who turns to you.

YN: what is the big surprise, i assume you told Thom and thats why he ran upstairs all excited.

Jared: i bought us a vacation house about 2 months ago. it is all season, and we get to go there and spend these next 6 weeks there. its in canyon lake about 2 hours by car. thom will probably sleep at least part of the way there. but YN i want you to know that i have a secret one that has me flustered enough to internally keep it from you for he is the glue that holds us together. but i wonder if perhaps we as in us 2 have a few things we can be together.

before you could respond Jared leaned in and placed a gentle kiss to your lips, for those 2 seconds it was like heaven had shot you with an arrow.

Jared pulled back and began to walk toward the kitchen to pack some trip snacks and drinks. but before leaving you alone in the living room he spoke.

Jared: ill leave you with that food for thought for it will be something to definately make conversation about later.

That kiss, your only real first kiss. Made you extremely excited. But the drive the 2 hour drive had you all hot and bothered. you went to pack your stuff in your bag. well at least thats what you thought, when you got to your room, you saw a suitcase, one filled with yours and Jareds stuff. maybe you guys were traveling light or there was already stuff out there for you guys.

you packed your journals, some games and a few books and of course a deck of cards in your backpack. you wheeled the suitcase out of the suite while carrying the backpack. then you went back in to put your hair back.

you heard someone calling your name. you answered the call and heard footsteps coming to your room. you turned to see Jared standing there, like nothing had happened downstairs.

Jared: are we almost ready to go?

YN: almost. just gonna get into something a bit more vacay less public appearance. meet you down in 2...

Jared: wear something sexy. i guarantee that you will be the hottest thing in the car. and you can pick the music.

you grabbed something out of the closet and took it into the bathroom. you came out to see Jared standing not facing you. till you would speak woulkd be when he would know you were there.

YN: does that mean we are bluetoothing it all the way there.

Jared: got the wireless charging pad installed and all ready to go. plus i hooked your phone to the bluetooth already. now when you are ready we will head out.

YN: i know. jared are we gonna discuss what happened between us downstairs?

Jared: that kind of talk is better suited for vacation.

thom is waiting by the door, you and jared bring down the last of the stuff. thom just as excited about this vacation as any little child should be. everything was loaded in the car, you went to lock the house and set the alarm. but before setting the alarm, you said the one word that you were sure might confirm your suspicions.

YN: christo!
