Just thinking about how Armin cherishes every art piece you created with him and how Eren quietly watches as you paint, then tells you his interpretation of your art. There's just something about your paintings that brings the two of you closer together...

He proudly boasts to his friends and family about his s/o being an artist (￣ω￣)

Adores sitting on your bed and watching you paint

Saves up money in secret so he can buy you the art supplies that you're too humble to ask for as gifts

Expect your birthday presents to be the art supplies you briefly mentioned wanting, because Armin's a sweetie like that

(He's so humble about it, though, he'll always say "It's not much...")

He def saved up for this overly expensive easel for you, and got you the best paints that he could find in Paradis

Ah he loves painting besides you; definitely an artsy boy himself

He'll scribble cute notes on the notebook that's on the stool between your easels

Something like "Kiss pls" because he's too shy to steal one from you, and even shyer to ask it himself

After one kiss he gets bouncy and giddy, then accidentally brushes the wrong color on the wrong part of the canvas

He's insanely creative, and each time you mess something up in your painting, he gives an idea of how you could turn it into something

The two of you can sit for hours painting, listening and singing to the playlists that he put together for 'Painting Sessions w my Darling'

He'll trot to you in the morning across the campus plaza, waving a new sketch of an idea and yelling "WE'VE GOT TO PAINT THIS THING"

You painted an abstract sort of sea for him, and I'll tell ya he keeps it right beside his bed, framed and safe; he'll look at it with a smile every morning

He paints so many oceans that you joke; "You could line them up and make your own ocean at this point."

The two of you had an idea to paint your room together, but Armin added to it; "We'll face our backs to each other, I'll paint this wall and you paint that one and we'll surprise each other."

Bb boy has definitely gotten emotional over things you've painted together, or things you've painted for him

Like he cried over the first painting that you gave him for his birthday

Eren

Quietly watches you paint; you can tell how intently he's observing each brush stroke because his eyes narrow in focus

He's not one to shower your art in compliments, he'll give criticisms where he sees they should be given (Deep down inside, he's fanboying over the fact he's dating such an incredible, artistic person hehe)

Sometimes you bash him about being a harsh critic to your art, but he means it with the best intentions. He would never comment something rude, just constructive

If anyone criticizes your art unfairly, he's prepared to bite their head off about it

If you ever feel contempt for your art, he immediately reassures you

"You're incredible. I'm not just watching you paint because I have nothing else to do... I love seeing you create. And everything you make, it's got a piece of your feeling in it, that's what makes it better than anyone else's... because I can feel you put your heart into it."

He rambles on like that until you have to tell him "I get it, I get it!"

He'll lean down to kiss your cheek from behind when you're super-focused on painting

If you ever fall asleep while painting, he carefully packs your supplies away and carries you to the bed

He's too embarrassed to try painting, but he'll draw silly doodles on your notebooks

Always has interesting and unexpected interpretations of your art; every color you use seems more significant to him than it does to you

He'll bring up aspects of a piece that you didn't even realize you made, so he ends up making you feel fonder of your work

Since we're talking about West-Allen-Garrick Family Headcanons, I think right after Wally's death there was so much tension within the whole family. Bart said in season three (I think it was episode sixteen) that the public never realized it was a different guy in the suit. I feel like when Bart first became KF, the public never noticed and the League never said the original Kid Flash died, so he just kept being Wally if you get what I mean. Like another anon said, the Wests definitely felt uncomfortable around Bart and just avoided him in their grief. Barry and I can even see Jay accidentally calling Bart "Wally" and then regretting it immediately. I just think the few months from Wally's death created such an uncomfortable atmosphere in all three households, so instead Bart just threw himself into hero work and just avoided everyone most of the time. Adding onto the fact, that the Reach is gone, Bart's mission is fully complete, now he has to face all his trauma and start truly living without surviving. He probably doesn't know what he wants to do when he's older or even thought about his dating life. So with all of the trauma and the fact that the flashfam is a mess, I feel like slowly Jay, Joan, Barry, and Iris started finding out about his life before coming back to the past. Then they kinda just realize they have a really traumatized fourteen-year-old. I like to think that after everything comes to light, the whole family including Rudy and Mary starts to heal together. Anyway sorry for rambling lmao, I really like your fics, especially AAIT :)

Also, love the idea of the League, especially Bruce (he's a good dad in YJA and knows exactly how Barry is feeling cause of Jason) helps Barry through his grief cause I'm a sucker for the League becoming found family.

100% agree on the tension and how Bart pretty much throws himself into hero work, tbh I HC that even till this point in Phantoms he throws himself into it, because if anyone can its him, his speed definitely helps with him juggling everything. Though of course as he starts to have a more normal life, dating Ed and being comfortable with his family he has reasons to take it easier, though I do think he's used to just always taking things on without second guessing whether he has the time. 

Also agree on the League not publicising Wallys death because as Jaime mentioned when they were in the grotto, the League doesn't want to publicise that they're not immortal, and that ppl thought he was just the same BB as Ted Kord in another costume. Its pretty much suggested that the same happened to Bart as KF, especially since he started out wearing Wallys exact same costume. Most probably over the years with more coverage and musings ppl realise he's a different guy, especially with his new suit, but like he mentioned its doesn't really click for everyone that he's not Wally. 

About what u said on the League, particularly Bruce and Barry, it kinda reminds me of how dead-set I am on how incredibly weighted/awkward (thats not the right word but its not coming to me rn lol) Clarks role as a Leaguer (and long time friend of Barrys) is and at the same time knowing that something is going on with Barts disappearance. All this time Barry, someone with a very much known history (among the League, like Bruce) of having lost a family member and legacy act, going through two weeks of having zero idea where Bart is, someone, who has filled in the very role of the person who was famously lost. Like just the weight of this situation itself is actually wild? And the nobility in Clarks actions of keeping his word when it matters aside, its actually lowkey such a dick move LMAO Barry was out there probably not having a great time (understatement of the century); Jay ended up needing therapy and Clark is just there like 

If I had the money I would PAY to see all these type of scenes lol

So I was listening to the song All That I’ve Got by The Used (throwback to teenage Jay angst lol) and some lyrics that stood out are:

And I have been chomping at the bit to put words to paper about Megumi’s life after canon, surviving Sukuna’s possession, and navigating his guilt and grief surrounding Tsumiki in particular as well as all the people he harmed when Sukuna took over (Gojo is alive tho bc let me cope).

I’ve got some excerpts of WIPs I’d be more than happy to share too of scenes where Megumi’s loneliness and the weight of his survivor’s guilt is overwhelming. I think this poor boy has gone through so much in his life and for it to be topped off with this shit show of a series of events is just a kick in the teeth. These lyrics in particular though stood out because they scream Megumi to me - the loneliness and how he can’t speak and the grief in the whole song. I also personally head canon that for a period of time post-canon he’s afraid or anxious to use his own cursed technique because he is worried his shikigami will retain Sukuna’s altered influence on them. Plus his own technique was used to kill Tsumiki, so that alone I would imagine triggers a whole slew of PTSD anxiety.

This fic is something I’ve started and stopped several times lmao, I have multiple versions over the course of this whole year 😂 all are Itafushi except for one Gofushi piece that I originally was too nervous to talk about but I’m deciding to say fuck it and embrace all my ships

OHHHH trust me ik!!! that reminds me kdkdfk so one of my friends used to be super into big bang in high school, now she’s not as into kpop anymore. i try not to converse w her bc anytime i’ll say literally anything related to kpop, she’ll need to put her two cents in and talk about how gen2 kpop is sooo much better….which is, wtv, to each their own? most of my close friends are gen2 stans and i love their hear their thoughts about kpop in general. but this specific was also a jay park fan for years SO

ok i want to say maybe a year ago, i was talking to my other friend and telling her how i was interested in finding unique albums they don’t produce anymore in skorea, like the 2014 album version of dark&wild, and literally my bb stan friend just jumped into the conversation and started talking about the heavy culture appropriation bts used to do back then…which is something we’ve had a handful of conversations about. also that’s the only thing she’ll mention about bts. i don’t think it’s up to me to ever change her mind bc if that’s her opinion, that’s her opinion about bts. idc if someone likes or dislikes a group i like tbh. so i just repeated what i have said to her in the past like “yeah they def participated in anti-blackness, and i think they took some steps in addressing it but ofc there’s still a long way to go in their journey.” but THIS TIME i also said “kpop itself is pretty anti-black and i think that a preliminary step that should be taken to reduce it is to address all the problematic things that idols have done. but idols don’t. for instance, g-dragon—“ and like immediately i got cut off. her excuses started flying about yg being more hip-hop based and gdragon’s status in kpop and wtv and i’m just like ?????! what’s the excuse for BLACKFACE???

listen there was def a time in my teenage years i very casually enjoyed bigbang and gd and wtv but finding out about that stuff turned me off sooo bad. and i only found out about it a year or two later bc i learned that most kpop groups (NOT JUST ARMYS) do what they can to defend their faves and deflect attention from any controversy. So yeah, hypocrites!

Like honestly Echo wasn’t even super crazy about seeing Rex either tbh (I get that Echo feels like he doesn’t fit in with regs and thats all fine and dandy) but it kinda feels like he doesn’t give a shit about what he’s gone through with other people. ---Rambling and getting off topic now because I have some shit between Echo and Fives: but if thats the case like we all know it fucked up Fives when he thought Echo was dead so if Echo isn’t the same way about Fives I guess thats just like... depressing and it sucks because everyone sees them as “that duo”. It’s not like theyre all gonna die at the same exact time.... like theyre only gonna do the surgery one at a time so... Omega what are you imagining sis? Like if one person turns? Like they know whats happening and deep inside theyre themselves but they cant do shit about it. That fucking hurts me.  This is a longer post but this episode was a roller coaster for my emotions.

Ash, what kpop groups do you stan?

Hi anon im very happy for this ask and i love you and i just mwah hug. Its nice to see people interested in my fixations and letting me ramble yk? Ik ive been annoying everyone (ESPECIALLY ON TWT) with enhypen so ehe its nice to see people wanna hear abt it. im sorry i have to ramble now (bcs me with hyperfixationdfhgs)

OK SO i mostly stan 1 relatively new but pretty big group called ENHYPEN. lemme just,, Enhypen commonly stylized as ENHYPEN, is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation. This group was made through a survival show called I-LAND and out of 23 competitors 7 ended up debuting as enhypen. Something interesting i think about this group is that they don't have designated positions except for oldest, youngest and leader so everyone is basically good at everything though some has their strong points.

The 7 members are (i also linked all the moments mentioned so if anyone wants to see just click):

1. Yang Jungwon (the one in the emerald green clothes)

So hes the Leader of enhypen! very mature mom friend, very caring and always thinks about other peoples feelings. All rounder, has vv stable vocals and good at popping (HE DID IT IN HIS SLEEP ONCE DHSGFJ PRECIOUS BB. Also adorable and has sceri duality. ALSO HES 17 his bday is feb 2004 WHICH MEANS HES THE YOUNGEST LEADER IN ALL OF BIGHIT He also trained and competed in professional taekwando.

2. Lee Heesung (the one with slightly blue hair in the top left)

He is the oldest at 19 years old (15 oct 2001) Very famous at I-LAND and among bighit trainees in general for being one of the best trainees and aces. He has perfect pitch and also is a reallyy good dancer. Although he is the oldest hes very playful and pure crackhead energy really. OH ALSO he trained with TXT and are pretty close with their members.

3. Jay / Park Jongseong (standing up with cream blazer and also next to the guy with pink hair)

He is the second oldest at 19 years old (20 april 2002) often compared to Levi ackerman. Looks intimidating but soft asf. was in one unit with sunghoon when i-land started and before they came in the room everyone was so awkward and after Jay came in everyone started talking so very moodmaker. Lets his younger mates tease him and never fights back. also hes fucking rich thats it (his dad owns sinar tour)

4. Park Sunghoon (sitting down with brown blazer)

Hes 18 (8 dec 2002) He used to be a professional figure skater and competed in international competitions before he decided he wanted to be an idol. He has a lil sister and he takes care of her so well so wholesome cry. Hes naturally funny and says whatever is on his mind and its just hilarious. He can also be jokingly narcissistic and its rlly funny. He was also ranked num 1 visual by I-LANDers.

5. Jake/Sim Jaeyoon (sitting down with red blazer)

Hes 18 (15 nov 2002
) Lil aussie boy. Very softie has a dog and obsessed with said dog (its name is layla its adorable) also has a rich dad and also has trained the shortest. In i-land he was an icon of growth because of how much he grew and improved despite his short training time.

6. Kim Sunoo (pink hair)

18 yrs old (24 june 2003)
hes the aegyo KING and soo confident. Hes really good at lifting peoples moods and is a ray of sunshine. Hes also an icon of growth too because he was the first one eliminated from i-land and came back and ranked 1st kjdshfg mint chocolate ice cream and selfie lover

7. Nishimura Ni-Ki (the one with the long kenma like hair)

He is the maknae and 15 yrs old (9 december 2005) he literally debuted at 14 like WHT how what am i doing with my life. He started dancing at a really young age and is really really good at it (he can memorize a whole choreo in 10 mins. He really knows how to make the older ones laugh and gets treated like a baby even though hes one of the tallest shhs

What I think is the most telling part of this conversation is a) the fact that Ye CHANGED a line at Taylor’s suggestion, meaning that he actively chose to honor her input and b) his entire tirade about money and influence. For Taylor to discuss the implications of what is arguably a more disrespectful sentiment (“I’m gonna have sex with this girl bc I made her famous”) and being in agreement with that decision means that Ye was invested in making sure her opinion was taken into account. And I will again remind you that Taylor herself has claimed to be a big fan of rap and, thus, should know and understand the term “bitch” in a black man’s art means something different than a white man’s dismissal of a woman. “Bitch” was never the part of the song that, in my opinion, she ever should have taken issue with. Secondly, is you read Ye’s monologue about money and Taylor’s influence, its horrendously obvious that this man doesn’t know what the actual fuck is going on. The most self-aware moment of this is when the conversation ends and he acknowledges that it was important that this phone call was recorded because he (or Kim or his team) KNEW that the line was going to be controversial. Maybe that’s why he never sent the whole song to Taylor? Maybe he did? We’ll never know, and that’s not the point. Ye talks about being bankrupt and how he wants to be transparent by talking about his missteps openly with other successful people, which is why he’s calling Taylor and asking for her blessing in the first place. The rambling that accompanies this, however, proves that Ye is, as the kids say, off the shits. And Taylor knows this and has exploited it. I can only compare it to Jay-Z openly discussing the fact that Ye was a shit business partner, but that wasn’t about making Ye look bad. It was about Jay “accepting responsibility” for his own bad decisions (lol not really huh). And don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Ye is even a tenth of artist that he once was. I think money and I influence corrupts and that he (and by extension, we his audience) has been convinced that mental illness is a facet of genius. It’s not!!!! Hello!!!! So I’m not giving him a pass like I have in the past, because the “Famous” video was an absolutely vile (not just for Taylor but also placing Rihanna and C*** B**** in the same bed!!!!!!). But artists are gonna make artistic statements, and Taylor, being a so-called fan of rap, should know and understand that one’s public and celebrity persona is not an indication of their true feelings. But Taylor has literally built an empire doing just that, and that was what originally made her so special and endearing. Had she not stepped into the pop star presence (where she never really belonged), she could have kept her authenticity and truthfulness without risking her “reputation.” Country stars and folk singers don’t get flooded with snake emojis when they stay in their own fuckin lanes. Like I’m so tired of it all.

It’s really nice that you’re giving care to characters like him. Warriors probably has the most disabled rep of any franchise I can think of off the top of my head and unfortunately almost all of it is handled poorly. But those cats still mean a lot to me haha.

I’ve always been confused by why we haven’t had a blind warrior. Not that any of the cats have to perform warrior duties if they can’t or don’t want to, but blind cats are pretty active from what I know.

For a personal project, I’ve been trying to work out a better way for deaf cats to communicate, a sort of kitty sign language. It’s been fun and I’ve definitely been a bit inspired by your work.

I understand the narrative purpose of Wildfur in-canon more than any of the other 'botched examples' if that makes sense; he was basically retconned in as a cautionary tale for Briarlight, which is understandable. They need the cast to get some info they'd otherwise have to trial-and-error out.

The cool part about my AU though, is that I can go back and make Wildfur a full character! I can show him as a full person with a personality, the logic that went into figuring his treatment out, and show that BB Clans would never leave a warrior behind.

I think the reason we haven't gotten a blind warrior is largely because the Erins really don't write them as cats. They write them like little fuzzy humans without tools. Blindness is really not the handicap for cats that Canon shows it to be; hearing, scent, and touch are much more reliable in cats than they are in humans.

(for example, that moment in-canon where Jaypaw is fighting Owlpaw... they were so close together that Jay would have been able to feel him with his whiskers. I've seen fully blind cats able to fight, hunt, and navigate with barely any restriction. I'm actually going to be demonstrating BB!Jay's unique fighting style; he grabs you and doesn't let you get away from him. "Jayfang" references how much he likes to bite lmao. Ironically deafness would be harder to work with in this society.)

Where Is ____?

Where is Kon-El?

Common to the Rebirth discourse, from the beginning, has been the question of “Where is Superboy?” Also common to Rebirth discourse, I guess, is the question of “If/When Conner comes back, what will he go by?”

I’m going to answer the second first, because I think it’s super funny that people don’t think there can be two Superboys. Guys, how many Flashes to we have? How many GLs have we had (who have gone by GL on earth and in the League, not in the entirety of the Corps)? My favourite Flash is Flash II, Barry (and how many time has mah boi got to sacrifice himself, anyway? once per Convergence event?), but Flash I is Jay and Flash III is Wally (my Wally, nerd Wally, redhead Wally, love of my life [number, like, six] Wally).

I digress. But I think Conner could just go by Superboy, and there can be two SBs, I and II. Anyway, how great would it be if they can be called “the Superboys” as a unit, the way kids get called “the boys” or “the kids” or whatever? Superfamily has Superboys. I love it.

But damn. DAMN. Geoff, when is the Superboy coming back? He’s been gone since the start of n52, and I get really emotional thinking about it? But, it’s a matter of when, not if, right? And I’ve seen the spread of Death of Superman/Return of Superman panels from Rebirth Action Comics, and the only person missing was Conner, bro. CONNER. (Hell, Supes remembered his 90s ‘do, so where’s Kon?)

Rebirth is... I care about Rebirth a lot, because it’s a capital-C Chance. They done right by me twice (at least), so far, in bringing back Nightwing (and putting him back in blue! HALLELUJAH!) and giving me back my Wally, the one they ruined in their attempts to be more racially diverse back in n52 (because that Wally was never the same character and never even pretended to be, except in name). My Wally’s back, Other-Wally’s still here, the Flash Family is bigger! I love it! I’m in love!

I’m all for bigger families. I love the family unit thing that’s going on in DC, and I always have. Did I like Supergirl? No. But, uh, I never liked Superman, either, until a lot more recently. It’s the families I love. Dad!Supes. Aunt!Supergirl. The schtick. The whole thing.

So, where is Bartholomew Allen’s grandson of the same name? Where is my fav future kid (besides my beloved Braniac 5)? He, too, has been missing since the start of n52, since the n52 Bart was a friggin’ imposter and not an Allen and ugh. Spare me.

I think I almost entirely quit n52 after that reveal, and I was just starting to try it, at the time.

A mess. What a mess.

Look, I honestly couldn’t care less about Wonder Girl (unless it’s Donna Troy, or unless we get WG and Troia), but the quintessential trio is Tim Drake, Bart Allen, and Conner Kent. No matter how unfamiliar I was with 90s Titans, I knew that this was the basic trio where Dick, Kori, and Cyborg were the basic 80s trio (I wanted so bad to say Wally - but I’d have to go further back and say Dick, Roy, Wally, and that... other Aqualad? since Wally was The Flash from ‘85 to ‘08, roughly).

What’s the trio, now? Who are Dami’s side babes? I’m actually super irate that there’s no clearly defined third generation trio, ya know? Tim/Bart/Kon (+Cassie) is so classic, and Dick/Kori/Vic (+Troia?) is pretty classic (80s Cyborg tho, pfffft). But like What’s Dami got? Other Wally and... a bunch of original Titans (BB, Rae, Kori, Cy)? I didn’t think he was Dick 2.0. Why doesn’t he get his own, new friends the way Tim did?

I digress. Really bad.

Where was I?

Oh. Bring back the trouble trio! I want SB, Impulse, and Red Robin to tear it up in Rebirth. I want to see them working together, again. Heck, I’d lowkey kill to have Tim leading the Titans, again.

Speaking of Titans, there was maybe one n52 character I cared about, Titan-wise. And it wasn’t not-Conner. It was Bunker.

I read a few lists of things missing from Rebirth, and I’m gobsmacked at how many things and people aren’t in Rebirth. Things I thought were integral to DCU stuff, as a whole. I mean, I don’t like Hawkwoman or whatever she’s actually called, but how is she not around? I find Plastic Man laughable, but he’s supposed to be there, isn’t he?

Next thing you’ll tell me is that Alan Scott is awol. (A short Google later) Oh god where is Alan in Rebirth? Tell me he’s there. Tell me he’s not dead. Look, I don’t cre about Jade (idk, I haven’t read enough of her to care, yet), but Alan is special to me, because of... reasons and things. I love this GL Prime type deal he has going on, I love the updated idea of him having a prototype ring or something.

But I’m just digressing more.

Just. Hey, DC? I love that my Wally’s home. And I love that Dick’s not traipsing around as a Secret Agent, anymore (but the wtf aspect of that remains, for me), but I... don’t think i can handle a DC universe without Conner in it. And I don’t really... want a DC universe without Virgil in it. (psa: his middle name is Ovid. How nerdy is that?? Virgil Ovid Hawkins.)

Virgil was important to me, in my childhood. I’m just a white boy, sure, but Virgil was one of my first favourite heroes (along with Spiderman and the X-Men as a whole), and I felt like I learned so much from his show. I’m still pissed I can’t find a box set (DC, get on it).

Nightwing is important to a... portion of my teen years that was otherwise really dark.

Conner was important to me because of his issues and stuggles with personal identity.

These are my heroes in a way that most other iconic heroes just aren’t. I get this thrill of happiness and sense of hope from each of these. I have a list of comics I need to purchase, and almost the entire list is at least peripherally about these characters (or Nightcrawler, of Marvel fame -- for similar reasons to why Conner is important to me). Hell, I got Death of Superman and World Without a Superman just so that I could properly appreciate Conner’s first appearance in Return of Superman!

I just. Even if Wally’s home. Even if NW is back in the blue. It takes all three of these characters to really make me feel at home in a continuity.

Plus Barry and Hal. Otherwise I’d just permanently make my home in 90s DC comics, haha. Nope, of course they’re dead in what is otherwise the perfect place for my comic home to be.

i personally really wanna know what Bart's relationship with the mental health check-ups is. like, is he super tight-lipped about what he's been through and plays everything off as fine, that he's handling it? does he talk about certain stuff but not others? has he legitimately gone to therapy since s2 or has he only done what's required of him? i'm very very curious

Okay, so this is such a good question it has taken me forever to put this together because I have a million thoughts and its impossible for me to put a proper structure to it so please bare with me, I tried my best LOL also I am SO SORRY for writing up this essay as my response LMAO i don't know, the words just won't stop !

warning: it is a lot im so sorry lol

From what I've read among the fandom, I often read that hes been put to therapy pretty much from the moment season 2 ends and has since his stay in the present managed to somewhat "heal" from his trauma or at least confront it one way or another.

Personally, I somewhat disagree with this approach. First, like we've seen from Gars arc, BB had been suffering for months pretty badly, but interventions and mandatory check ups weren't at all enforced on him until what many thought was pretty late. Honestly, I found this actually pretty realistic. From both a "slice of life" aspect as well as what's typically expected from professionals. Thats because you can't force someone to seek help unless they pose a threat to themselves or can't care for themselves anymore. So people really only intervene when things reach their nuclear stage. Typically people who also need help withdraw themselves from their social circle, as we saw with Gar, which idk if ppl realise makes it incredibly hard for them to even try to help (not out of a lack of empathy, but because they have their own responsibilities, and if someone withdraws themselves from you, then its much harder to approach them or be aware of the extent of their mental health problems). Again, I actually found his friends general involvement in Gars mental health journey fairly realistic.

I think people also overestimate the reach (heh) of the Leagues mental health efforts. The mandatory aspect is a simple "check up" and this involves a lot of people. So unless someone is actively seeking or needs help, theres only so much this service can do.

Now how this unwarrented essay on an imaginary health care system ties in to Bart (lol im so sorry for my rambles), well ill tie that in later.

Now, maybe im reading too much into it considering how him being fine was made into a gag in the Elder Wisdom Season 3 episode lol, but his first reaction (which at that point wasn't made into a recurring joke) to Barrys worry was very much "its nothing, im fine, your worry is annoying". His emotional intelligence was also displayed from his scene later on where he manages to call out what Jay was really going thru for what it was.

Elder wisdom was an episode that was listed multiple times in the watch list for the series and Jays involvement was pretty prominent in it. Now with how Phantoms concluded, Jay was listed as someone by Dinah in the last episode who has needed mental support, so it seems like that plot line has been continued. Now I don't know about you, but I interpreted Dinahs mention of Jays issues to stem from Bart being missing (compounding onto general hero life stress and him probably still mourning Joan). This is because the creators of YJ always heavily emphasise that "everything u need to know regarding all plots is what is shown" and starting from the moment in season 3 where Bart guarantees he's not going anywhere, to the moment that Jay returns to an empty home from which Bart was missing for over two weeks, to the conclusion of Jay needing mental support, I feel like its a very tidy and directly connected storyline.

Another thing from that episode which has been continued over this season is that Bart is always guaranteeing that hes fine. Its a little jarring in parallel to the worry Jay was going thru, especially with us as the audience knowing that he actually has been through a lot in those two weeks and that all that time he was literally in bandages. But the moment hes awake with Clark and co, he guarantees hes fine and immediately resumes with the mission.

What I found pretty interesting with Barts involvement in Phantoms is that a lot of what has been previously assumed of him from season 2 has been supported this season. I believe the intention of his scene with the Legion when he pretty much cornered them into revealing the truth is that he somewhat has a switch on his personality depending on the circumstances. Which to an extent supports the notion that while his general personality is pretty much genuine, what he shows depends on what hes in the mood to play up or down.

From season 2 we've seen that he can be pretty tight lipped on what he wants. From season 3 we've seen him adjust to his new timeline pretty well and in season 4 we've seen some of his complexities as well as how it can affect the people he cares about.

So, with all this in mind, to answer your questions. With the check ups being spread thin with the purpose of singling out people who are shown to need/ask for it and his affinity for being tight lipped as well as playing everything off, guaranteeing that hes fine and keeping to himself, hes really only done what hes been required to do and played off any need for concern that would require him to seek further help. This doesn't mean I don't think he hasn't talked about stuff with the people hes close with.

Lastly, he also has the factor that a lot his background has to do with the future. Sure it might be one that doesn't exist anymore, but im sure he'd struggle to explain things without giving away too many things that he'd believe he really shouldn't be saying. Also his very specific background restricts him from seeking any professional help outside of league related resources.

- Ok so before I even dive into the episode I had a thought about a scene from the trailer: In part of the trailer we see Rex and the bad batch and it kind of looks like Rex is almost leading them there sorta, we get a very quick half second peek of the area around them and doesn’t it look kind of like the crashed ship from the end of tcw???? Idk what reason theyd go but maybe its like “look at all these clones that died because they had the inhibitor chips and died following their orders” WHICH is 100% still a thing relevant because we all know Wrecker is about to turn and they need to save crosshair. Into the actual ep now: - The title is decommissioned and already I am concerned :tm: something is happening to somebody >> - bullseye? I mean that hit the target but it wasnt bullseye lol - Echo being a good dad and teaching omega is good content and im here for it. - Obviously Tech has good technology and is good at that kind of thing but im kind of curious what exactly his visor scanner thing does, because it seems super helpful a lot of the time. -- Kind of gives me a headcanon that like maybe Tech wasn’t like a super good clone when he was a shiny so he ended up like building all sorts of different things to help/prove himself and because that made him different (granted he was really good at it) he felt more at home with the bad batch, kind of like echo in tcw. - Wrecker you are complaining about heights but DO YOU REMEMBER YEETING REX LIKE THE HYPOCRISY SIR I CANNOT - It wasn’t that workers fault for being there (the guy hunter stunned) but he *stunned* him.... like isn’t he gonna get up at some point and be like “Yeah it was the bad batch that did it” ???   - Oh its the sisters! - Yeah like honestly why are they blaming bad batch it was their fault for the lockdown lol - Ooo I like the music even though its kinda subtle for the part the droids are coming in the lockdown its cool - STOP HITTING WRECKERS HEAD - GOOD SOLDIERS OH FUCK OH NO DAMN IT I FUCKING CALLED THIS SHIT WRECKER DONT FIGHT THE OTHERS I WILL CRY - ngl the sisters just kind of need to shut up and go with the plans and stop complaining because none of them have time for that - I don’t simp for hunter or anything but that shot of him where its him looking forward and he says thank you was kinda fine >> - Is there an echo in here? “Yes” PFFT I fucking love Echo so much omg. I love all of bb but I think Echo is my favorite. - Yes wrecker pulled through thank god.... please dont change your mind by the end of the episode. - “Yeah I’ve heard that before” YOU BE NICE TO THE CLONES THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME  -- ok a little redemption but lets be honest she only said that cause hunter was nice to her - At first I thought the person on the hologram might be someone bad but ACTUALLY WHAT IF ITS AHSOKA AND REX????

Bad Batch thoughts & predictions ep 5

Continuing these written reactions/predictions somewhere cause itd be fun I think to see what actually ends up happening and remembering what I thought at the time so im dumping it here, youre welcome. (Feel free to discuss if you want) if you want to keep up with it im gonna be tagging these as #jay rambles about bb

- Ok starting off giving omega crosshair’s things *immediately* hurts me thanks. Literally less than 1 minute in. - Ok so omega figured out very easily that Cid was the lizard lady (bossk’s species I think I forget what its called though). I think this 100% is related to omegas ability, which now I think is her ability to like pick up and understand things quickly (but some more sharper rules to this still need to be defined) but this makes more sense too and I had a hunch about this because she also was able to figure out how to deal with the moon dragon very easily and to pick up and fire the blaster when she never had before too, so thats her ability/skill. 

- WRECKERS HEAD IS HURTING AGAIN I KNEW IT THE INHIBITOR CHIP IS A PROBLEM YALL ARE SMARTER THAN THIS TO KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG IF IT STILL HURTS BY NOW - I appreciate Cid. - Ok so Omega is designing this trooper doll.... what if by the end of the show or something the bad batch make/design/find her that armor for herself????  - - Probably not but by the end of the show it’d be cool (and sad) if the squad all had items to remember them each by, like the trooper doll for omega, lula for wrecker, etc.  - Love all the quiet little gestures when Omega is trying to save them, for some reason I feel like something might go wrong though while she tries to save them >> - Knew that kid wasn’t going to be Muchi, but 100% didn’t think it was the rancor hello??? Is muchi just gonna like... vibe with bad batch and go with them? Because... rancor. - Pfft wrecker fighting muchi lmao thats so like him and I love it -  Cid you better not back stab the bad batch at some point I swear to god.

- edit because I didn’t think of it til right now BUT MUCHI IS THE RANCOR LUKE KILLED YO THATS FUCKING WILD (and a little sad cause it was kind of buddies with bad batch)
