chapter eleven | chapter twelve: it came like a postcard
chapter summary: sometimes, weather forecasts can be wrong; yours said it would be sunny yet a storm came. the same way the bestest days can take a turn for the worst. you'd never choose rain. you did it once and now you're lost. but when you are, the sun always comes. and it envelops you in its warmth. it finds you, it makes you follow it, and you're secure. you'd must always choose the sun.
warnings: angst; non-aggressive fighting, guilt.
a/n: i know it took so long, but im too busy!!! i barely have time for anything so please understand! this took so little time actually, i wrote this in class for 30 minutes, and while i do hate the way i wrote it (for some reason i could never write proper angst?) my creative juices won't allow me for more. so please bear with me. ALSO, LITERALLY ONE CHAPTER AWAY FROM THE ENDING, YAY US.
Tumblr media
a few months ago, you attended a sophomore party around the first few days of your sophomore year. it was at the university, in the event hall which happened past midnight where none of the teachers would have known the drinking, the dancing, and the sex on each corner of the space.
of course, natasha knew about it. she always knew everything. more so if it's something about you. you weren't supposed to go. but you and natasha had a small argument the day before the party—something about the way she so boldly touches you even when people were around. so to get your mind of it, you went; to get back at her, you didn't tell her and planned on going home drunk; and to taunt her, you wore the most absurdly revealing outfit in your dresser.
you were expecting to go home to her waiting for you in a robe and red wine, as she usually does when you come home past midnight. but she didn't. a few shots, and some minutes of dirty dancing later, you were pulled off the dance floor but her harsh grip, and everyone stunned at the professor's actions.
she pulled you in her office, trapped you between her and the desk, and when you thought she'd lecture you, she didn't. she dropped her forehead on your shoulder, and she bathed you in her warmth.
she told you she loved you. that she loved you so much. that she loved you dearly, sincerely, desperately. and the next day, you woke up with flowers and a bottle of her perfume on your bed. you need not a note to know what she was implying—you can try to grind on every person you want, but they'd know.
that's been your routine after every fight.
flowers, and a present.
today was undeniably one of the best days ever. granted, you and natasha had a little argument the night before, but that's what led you to the flower shop for the first time. you spent an hour smelling every plant; feeling the difference between the patterns of every petal; basking in the colors of the life the surrounds you.
and then you rode a bike to the mall. it wasn't your bike, it was wanda's old one from when she and vision had just moved to westview. but you found it in the shed. and with the flowers you bought in its little brown basket, you went toe to toe with the massive cars driving right next to you. and somehow, you felt like you were saving the world.
wanda, that morning, cooked you breakfast. and then she gave you ice cream in a bowl as dessert which doesn't happen at all. wanda can be a nag about health, and you often find the domesticity of having a mother nag you for eating junk very endearing, but it never hurts to have ice cream. and did you jump out in joy when she handed you a bowl.
billy wasn't home. wanda sent him to an errand outside westview. but he left you a sweet note and a sandwich on your bedside table before he left, and before you woke up. he should be home long past 12pm though, which would give you the very opportunity to make it right with your girlfriend before he comes back.
she wasn't here.
she's never here when she gets into a fight with you. she cools off her head, gives you your space, then she comes back to talk.
you assume that's how she'd always been, even with wanda given that she did use to live away from her family that you assume is because of a blowout. you never asked. and you knew she didn't want you to.
you bought her flowers and a scented candle that smelled like your favorite perfume. something that she can put in the office that's been home to too much of your sins, and overflowing with so much of your love.
the sun was out, and for the first time, it didn't seem to burn. it was just... warm. no chance of rain, said the weather forecast.
but of course, sometimes, they're wrong.
"do you know i cheated on natasha with vision?"
and it rained.
"sorry, what?"
the moment you closed the door behind you, and right after wanda called for you in the kitchen, it poured. harsh, angry rain.
"it was over a year ago," wanda clarifies. "natasha was getting too busy with work, and vision happens to drop by."
"wanda, i don't—"
"and i slept with him."
you stiffed. your chest tightened, and the grip you had on the bouquet you couldn't be bothered to hide behind you became strained.
you weren't sure why wanda was telling you. neither did you want her to. but suddenly you feel for natasha. like that very thing wanda did was enough to justify and save natasha from every argument, every fight, every bad thing between you two.
"wanda, i really don't know why you're telling me this," you whisper, voice shaking, resisting. "i think it's none of my business."
you didn't know what to do, what to feel. wanda cheated on natasha. and natasha is cheating right back. should it be called even? you couldn't say. the anger of knowing what natasha had to go through, vs wanda... your mother. sweet sweet wanda. you justified wanda in your heart.
she was standing behind the kitchen island, looking at the yard over the floor to ceiling windows. and then she turns to you, pauses when she sees the flowers and paper bag in your hands.
she smiles, tiredly. "is that for her?"
you didn't have to be asked twice. your mind didn't scramble for an excuse either. surprisingly, no "for who?" or "it's for billy". just silence.
she looks at you.
she knew.
her eyes stayed the exact same green shade as they were earlier. or yesterday. or the many days before that. there was nothing different. she looked the same. but she knew.
you'd already betrayed her, you couldn't lie to her. and your mind didn't allow you to even dig through your raging thoughts for an apology.
and she beats you to it. "i'm sorry," she tells you; her voice raspy, coated in what pain you could feel her hide.
all thoughts left your body. and you weren't sure why it was only now that guilt surged through your every vein, every muscle.
you might have not chosen natasha, but a part of you knew that she would choose you. that she would always choose you. and somehow, that was able to keep you in your bubble. to spare you the guilt. to keep you safe. knowing that while you would choose wanda, that you would do what's right; she wouldn't. she would choose you. even if it's wrong. and that makes the weight of your sin much much lighter.
"wanda i—" she gave you the chance. she stayed silent. she waited, she hoped, she looked at you with eager eyes. but you couldn't say anything. you didn't say anything.
she walked closer to you. you could tell her knees were weak, barely carrying the weight of her body. then she smiled, a sad comforting smile. like when she told you what she'd done to your mother. like when she offered you a way out.
you yelled in your mind. screamed. the voice begged to be ousted;
don't touch me.
don't touch me, wanda.
please, it's my fault.
don't smile at me.
slap me. curse me. swear at me.
throw me away.
force me to go.
don't...
please don't be nice.
please don't smile.
please...
don't make it harder for me...
you stayed silent.
something about the way her eyes sparkled with threatening tears made you feel a sense of home and longing. like the feeling you get when you know you'd have to travel the next day so you clean your home, and enjoy the few hours you have in your room. and you feel at peace. the dread, the excitement, and the longing. you feel everything all at once.
"i'm sorry," she tells you again. raising her visibly shaking hand to caress your cheek. you didn't know what to do. you froze. "i was supposed to protect you, i was supposed to be your mother," her voice decreased to a whisper. but you still heard the way it cracked. the way it got stuck in her throat. "it's all my fault."
and your heart broke. your heart broke for her. your heart broke for the crying eyes staring into you—the same ones the would shine when seeing her wife, or would sparkle when billy gives her a hug. your heart broke for the hurting mother. for your hurting mother. for the mother you hurt.
"wanda, it's not...," you whisper.
she stuttered for words. avoiding your eyes, struggling to keep her composure, "i really love her," she cries. "and i needed her. and she wasn't here. and i was desperate."
she was defending herself for a crime she didn't commit. you're supposed to be the one justifying. you're supposed to be the one crying—looking at her with grieving eyes.
but how could you? what could you say?
i didn't love her, wanda. but i would long for her touch, crave for her lips, burn for her warmth the same way i long for air, and crave for love, and burn for every bit of earth that falls on my skin.
i didn't love her, wanda. but when i go to heaven, and god tells me that this very sin is what would send me to hell, i'll tell him how ironic it was to have the only heaven i'd ever known be what would send me to burn down in hell.
i didn't love her, wanda.
but i did.
oh how i did.
"i'm sorry....," you finally say. you finally gathered the courage, the words, the thoughts to apologize. may it be the wrong ones, for the wrong person, but you were sorry for tolerating natasha. you were sorry for the indulgence. you were sorry for granting yourself the heaven when you were only meant to stay on earth.
you were sorry for natasha. for everything that you did. but not for loving her. never for loving her.
"no, darling i...," how could she call me that? "it's my fault. i should've—i should've known. i should've realized. you should have never been in that situation if i—"
"wanda what are you—"
"she wouldn't have used you."
she wouldn't have used you.
she wouldn't have used you.
she wouldn't have used you.
she wouldn't have used you.
but she loved me...
"at least it—it wouldn't have...," she choked. "it wouldn't have gotten this far, i—"
she told me she loved me. she whispered it to me in bed, she wrote it to me in class, she moaned it in my ear. she loved me.
"you were a kid, i—"
she wasn't looking at you. she was avoiding your eyes, guilt surging through her body, and pain glinting her eyes. she was shaken up, she was confused. and you... you were lost.
"i married a beautiful woman. she is kind, she is thoughtful, she is caring," and she loved her deeply. you could hear it from her voice. and see it with the way a smile crept her face through her tears. the thought of her alone is enough to put her in a trance, in her own little bubble.
and then the bubble pops. and she looks back at you, unaware that she'd been looking away. "i...," she searches for words, looking in your soul; holding it, hugging it through the windows of your eyes. "i didn't think she'd be the kind to... take advantage of a child so she could get back at me."
i didnt think she'd be the kind to take advantage of a child so she could get back at me.
i didn't think she'd be the kind to take advantage of a child so she could get back at me.
i didn't think she'd be the kind to take advantage of a child so she could get back at me.
suddenly the memory of her touch burns your skin. the memory of her kisses slices you. the memory of her, and everyday of the past year, and you, and the both of you—suddenly, everything was hell. and you were on fire.
your ear rings.
she used you.
she loved me.
she was using you for revenge.
she loved me.
she took advantage of you.
she loved me.
she pretended.
she asked me to run away. she loved me.
she's taking it too far.
she told me she loved me.
did she really?
no.
"she loved me," you resisted her touch. you moved away from her. you insisted, you screamed, you cried. "she loved me wanda."
you saw pain through the wrinkles on her face. you saw pain for the family she's losing, and pity for the daughter she'd come to love as her own. she grieved for her family. and mourned for your innocence in your place.
you saw it overtake her—the broken woman whose family's at loss overtake the sweet mother who'd cared for you for over a year. and more as a child. you saw it glint her eyes, the change from pity to anger.
"she loved me...," you cried, dropping to the floor.
you knew she was torn. should it be pity that you loved her wife, or anger that you loved her wife. she was fighting in her head. you can see the way she defended you in her own mind. you were just a kid that her wife took advantage of. but also, you were the stain in the family that she's been trying to fix.
you didn't know which one won, which side of her. the subtle cruelty of the way she dropped an envelope on the floor to your knees, and the love that it was to crouch to your level and look at you.
"you're breaking my family...," she told you. "i can't let you do that anymore."
you wonder which wanda your talking to. while her words were thorned, her voice was coated with the love of a mother.
"this is enough to get your mother out of the hospital, and last you until you graduate."
she had kept a distance between you two, especially when she stood up. she's calmer now as if she'd already decided.
"for what it's worth...," she trailed off. "i wish you never had to hurt billy."
the fight is over. you were the kid who her wife took advantage of, and let it happen. you were the woman who betrayed her son. and she hates you. like a mother who hates her child: forever.
just like that, you were out of the house you'd called your home for the last year, and under the blazing storm. you were lost.
"y/n!"
until your beacon shines again.
"oh my lord, what are you doing outside!"
billy runs over you from his car with an umbrella. he hadn't heard. but he takes you in his arms, and wraps you around his coat. "i left early," he whispers. "what happened?"
you were lost. you always had been. but billy always found you. and you always followed him. you were lost as a child, and followed billy to his home. you were lost after graduation, and followed him to university. you're lost now. and you knew you'd chosen well. because he always found you.

Wanda wonders if her life is just made up of moments of regret. She regrets being an experiment, even if it did give her powers. She regrets helping Ultron, which ultimately leads to Pietro's death. She regrets not training more and accidentally blowing up a building with people inside. She regrets being unable to save her teammates after Thanos.
She regrets Westview even if it was a beautiful dream for just a moment. She regrets letting her loneliness allowing herself to fall in love with someone so lovely as you because all Wanda knows is how to ruin things.
Wanda stares at you from the bar while you're on the dance floor, smiling, spinning, and laughing with Yelena. It's a beautiful sight to see, really. Wanda can't help but be so thankful you can still look like that after what she's done to you.
It's just another thing to regret, really, Wanda thinks. How could she possibly believe she'd be happy with Vision again once his new body had regained all of his memories? She was sure she could've returned to that dream of them together and eventually having kids like Billy and Tommy. Her magic could do anything, so it was worth trying again, wasn't it?
And while she missed Billy and Tommy more than words could ever say, and she still loved Vision, it wasn't the same anymore. Had that been because of you?
Wanda watches you throw your head back, letting out such a freeing laugh at whatever Yelena was saying as you danced that it was physically gut-wrenching to see.
Jealous.
A hot, uncomfortable, burning pit of jealousy forms in Wanda's gut. She has no right to it and is all too aware of that. But still, that should be her.
Wanda pictures it, herself in Yelena's place, holding you and spinning you, saying things that no one else can hear just in the hopes that you'll laugh like you are now.
"Stare any harder and I think you'll bore a hole in Yelena's head."
Wanda doesn't need to look to see that it's Bucky who slides up to her with his own drink.
"You cut your hair," Wanda says instead.
"Yeah, Sam was ragging on me saying it was getting too long," Bucky grumbles.
"Why does Sam care?" Wanda asks, only mildly curious.
Bucky was silent for a moment, the ice clanking around in his glass.
"I don't think he does," Bucky finally says. "I think he knows that I don't like it too long since it reminds me of...and well, I can put things off for too long when I'm in my head."
The answer makes Wanda's heart sting a little. She hears echoes of your voice nagging her to get her hair trimmed when the split ends were getting out of control, and no—she couldn't use magic, not after the last time she accidentally made herself bald.
"Do you miss her?" Bucky asks, addressing the elephant in the room and Wanda's unwavering stare.
Wanda doesn't even know how to answer it. How does she convey that she misses you more than anything? The ache she feels makes breathing so painful, like she's inhaling dry, icy air. She would trade anything just for you to come back to her, and she'd give anything to undo all the hurt she's put you through.
"Yeah," is all Wanda can say.
Bucky sighs. "I don't want to get in the middle of it but she missed you too."
"Missed?" Wanda dryly smiles, feeling like pins pricked her.
"Well, I don't know anymore, we don't talk about you these days," Bucky shrugs. "But when you first left her, she didn't leave my couch for weeks. I had to get a new apartment just so she'd have a bedroom."
"I know," Wanda somehow heard it through the grapevine, which meant she heard it from Sam. "That was really nice of you to let her stay."
"I think I needed her company just as much as she needed mine. I couldn't get along with Sam at the time, and Steve had just...vanished, and well," Bucky shrugs again. Wanda thinks wryly he's such a man of many words.
"Anyway, she just couldn't talk about you at all at first," Bucky licks his bottom lip. "She just cried until there was nothing and I just—I've been through so much too but watching her was just so harrowing. She was trying to make herself smaller and dismissing the entire thing just so the crying would stop—"
"Why are you telling me this?" Wanda hisses, feeling something so miserable dredge inside her; she thought she would throw up.
"Because I want you to really understand how hard it was for her to get back to where she is now," Bucky bluntly told her. "I want you to understand that in her situation, I would've wanted to just give up, but she kept stupidly stumbling her way through it, getting lost so many times, but kept going even when she didn't want to. I want you to understand how many therapy sessions she paid out of pocket to go to when her work couldn't cover anymore. I want you to understand selfishly how I felt when I heard her laugh at the sitcoms she wouldn't watch anymore and what it was like to see her dance with absolutely no rhythm in the kitchen with nearly burnt eggs and pancakes."
"Bucky—"
"I want you to understand because she's coming this way and you could probably show her that you love her still and she should give you one more chance, but I want you to really consider it because you don't know what the last 2 years were like and if you ruin her again, I will genuinely manifest into the universe for shitty things to happen to you."
"Bucky!" You grin widely as you approach them, and to Wanda's surprise and to your credit, you keep the grin when you turn to her. "Wanda," you greet her as well.
"Hey, doll," Bucky grins back at you as if he didn't just rip into Wanda and kick her in her metaphorical nuts.
"Ugh, I keep telling you doll is too outdated now," you groan with a roll of your eyes before you smile manically at him. "Try saying, 'hey, bae,' instead."
Bucky's face contorted in disgust, his lip curling at you. "You'll have to brainwash me to get me to say that."
You let out a laugh that seems to light up the room they're in now and the metaphorical room of Wanda's heart.
"What's got you laughing like a goat over there anyway?" Bucky asks while you slap him on the arm, and Wanda feels inclined to as well because your laugh might as well be angels singing.
"Yelena keeps making jokes about all the men here with porno staches. It has to be a new trend, I swear. Like 90% of the men here have it and it's so gross," you crinkle your nose.
Bucky snorts, "Yeah, I don't get the youngsters so don't look at me."
"Sam would never let you live it down if you got a porno stache. He probably wouldn't even let you within 20 feet of his sister either, and you'd just hate that, wouldn't you?" You smirk while Bucky scowls at you.
Wanda's finding it hard to jump into the conversation, but she's not even sure if she'd be welcomed.
"Ha-ha," Bucky lets out with a straight face. "I'm going to go before you try to trick me into learning more of your dumb lingo."
"Aw, but you got a real good lesson on how to use manifestation," you smile and chuckle.
Wanda idly thinks it's a little amusing for Bucky to use manifestation when he was lecturing her. But there isn't too much time to think about it when she's left alone with you.
"Can I get a water?" You ask the bartender.
"Already too drunk?" Wanda asks, a little surprised. She's been watching you the entire night, including that you only had 3 drinks.
"I think the whole covid thing ruined my alcohol tolerance," you snort. "I get tipsy off of coolers now."
Wanda finds it almost strange how easy it is to slip back into conversation with you and how it makes her feel like she's at home and everything in the universe is okay.
"How have you been?" Wanda asks after a while, watching you sip on your water. "You look good."
"Amazing," you smile. "I got a promotion at work and I've taken some time off to go traveling. I annoy Bucky on a daily basis while he pretends he doesn't enjoy it and I go on walks every day with Yelena and Fanny."
Something drops in Wanda's stomach.
"Oh, are you and Yelena...?" Wanda trails because she just can't bring herself to say it out loud.
You laugh lightly. "No, we get that a lot though. I think she's seeing someone else but I have yet to get it out of her."
It should be illegal how much relief floods through Wanda.
"How have you been? I heard you left Vision."
You should be talking about it spitefully, almost smugly, but you don't. You genuinely sound sad for her, but Wanda shrugs.
"It just wasn't what I wanted, I guess."
It seems like there's a plethora of words on the tip of your tongue, but you don't say anything about it.
"You've been good, though?" You ask her because, despite the fact you may have hated her for what she put you through, there was a part of you that genuinely wished for Wanda to be okay and happy.
And there are so many things Wanda could say. She could tell you no, she'll never be good until you come back to her. She'll never be alright unless she drops to her knees now and begs you to forgive her. That if she could figure it out, she'd use her magic to make a binding contract that she'd never do anything except treat you right and never make you sad again. Every day she would tell you she loved you and shower you with flowers you'd end up killing, and dance with you and forgo rhythm. She'd cook in the kitchen with you and let you mostly watch her or chop up a few vegetables here and there, but really, she wants to cook for you and have you keep her company.
But all Wanda can think about is what Bucky said. What if she somehow ruins you all over?
Bucky said you could be persuaded into giving her a second chance, but while Wanda feels like the universe is aligning again with you, she hasn't considered how you felt.
Wanda can feel it through her magic. The sadness of her lingers in your bones and the apprehension in your mind. The careful mask you have to put on in front of her as an ex.
Love would not be enough to fix this, and Wanda doesn't know if she has anything more to give than just love.
You need stability, reassurance, consistency, commitment, and loyalty.
All Wanda knows is how to follow her heart and her emotions, and her moments of regret are always just her following without thinking.
So, all Wanda can say with a wry smile is, "I've been better." You give her such a disheartened smile that Wanda just stares at you. So beautiful and such a walking contradiction. Clumsy but graceful, silly but elegant, sad but happy.
Wanda wishes love was enough, but when she stares at you, she knows you deserve more.
One day, she'll be able to give you that. If the universe aligns once more and kindly offers her an opportunity, she'll never let it slip again like she has today.
But until then, she smiles at you. "This is enough."

COME UNDONE - WANDA MAXIMOFF X F!READER
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x f! reader
Summary: Wanda is a 32-year-old, a divorced mother who hasn’t opened herself up to the opportunity to love again. She met Y/N but the 7 year age difference made her feel guilty… until she end up being victim of Thanos’ snap while Y/N stayed. What if Wanda never joined the Avengers? Her parents left Sokovia when Wanda and Pietro were little, achieving the dream of living in USA.
chapter 1 - chapter 2 - chapter  3 & 4 - chapter  5 - chapter  6 -   chapter 7 - chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 FINALE
Jules is portrayed by Adelaide Kane. Here.
ㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ CHAPTER 9
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Everything was… different.
At least that's what Scarlet Witch thought as she looked around her, laying on the bed next to Y/N.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
The house was the exact copy of the Westview one, although there were some changes that made it more… real. Nothing was more strange and surprising than finding she was about to share a bed with a woman she didn't know.
Not because she was a woman, of course not. Just because she had no idea who she was, or even what her name was.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Why didn't she just finish her off? Putting that woman to sleep and just looking for her goal would perhaps be much easier, but decided to leave as little mess as possible.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Why didn't she just finish her off? Putting that woman to sleep and just looking for her goal would perhaps be much easier, but decided to leave as little mess as possible.
The Darkhold promised her that she could have the twins again but even in the Scarlet Witch was enough humanity not to commit atrocities. The search for a power great enough to allow her to travel between alternate realities and universes, until she found one that was perfect.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
It wasn't easy to stay connected from another universe and control this Wanda, although this one didn't seem to give her as much trouble as others she tried to dreamwalk.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘Wanda’ lay down next to Y/N, always keeping distance from her. Carefully observed that woman next to her, the tone of her voice, the color of her hair, the gestures she made when she was speaking or breathing, the color of those eyes and the scar on her face. ‘Wanda’ had no idea who Y/N was, at least in her reality she didn't know her.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
She was definitely a beautiful woman, wasn't going to deny it. Apparently Vision wasn't close to her and that caught her attention. Maybe in this reality everything was painful too, maybe she wasn't the only Wanda who had ended up with a broken heart.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Not bad at all' she thought, speaking directly to the Wanda of that universe.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
But it was time to know the truth, to be able to see the territory in which she was treading. Fixing her gaze on Y/N's, Wanda tried to read her mind and delve into her memories.
Ha. Nothing happened. Nothing at all, a completely desolate silence.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda' frowned without being able to understand what the hell was happening. She tried to read Y/N’s mind again but the complete silence made her feel… helpless and strange, and maybe a bit happy.
She had no powers.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
She had no powers in that universe, that Wanda never had to live with the weight of her habilities, she never had to listen to the thoughts of all the people who were next to her, never had to hold back.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
She was never a Hydra experiment.
She never hurt anyone in Lagos.
She never kidnapped anyone in Westview.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Suddenly the voice of that woman took her out of those thoughts.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What?” Y/N asked, noticing the confusion on the redhead's face.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Mmh? Oh, nothing... it's just...” Wanda whispered in confusion. What was she going to do now? A Wanda without powers would be of no use to her, though she had everything she wanted: her twins.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
If she released the hold she had on this Wanda, ending the dreamwalking, she might not have the perfect opportunity to execute the plan again.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Just thinking about you.” The redhead lied, although in some point, she didn't.
Y/N smiled charmingly at those words, and for a second, the Scarlet Witch hesitated. Who was this woman?
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You're such a sap lately, huh.” Y/N smiled tenderly and, to the redhead's surprise, she joined her lips with Wanda's, melting into a cute but short kiss.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Although she felt her body completely paralyzed, ‘Wanda’ remained still and then she managed to relax so that the moment passed as quickly as she could.  And even though she wanted to deny it with all her might, something inside her awakened at the softness of Y/N's warm lips against hers.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Their first kiss.
Feels so…strange. Not in a bad way, of course not, but it was a bit… strange. After losing Vision, Wanda promised herself not to fall in love with anyone again because he took her heart. Or that's what she believed.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Once the brunette moved away from her, the Scarlet Witch swallowed and smiled a little nervously, snuggling against the bed ready to fall asleep. The warm sensation of arms around her body made her swallow hard, but she let it pass. The redhead cursed inside that she didn't have powers to get out of that damn problem.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Maybe if she pretended to sleep next to Y/N, she could take advantage and investigate all this new world.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Detka?” ‘Wanda’ whispered.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes, my love?” Y/N murmured, nuzzling her face into Wanda’s neck.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Do you think the twins are okay?” There was doubt in her voice and although Y/N noticed that, she just gently tightened the hug.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“The little ones are fine, being spoiled by their aunties.” Y/N tried to reassure her, leaving a small kiss on Wanda's shoulder that made her skin to crawl. “I know it's hard for you to let them go for a while... but tomorrow they'll come back to you."
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Thank you.” Wanda whispered welcoming the silence, she waited half an hour until she was sure that Y/N was completely asleep.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Slowly, Scarlet Witch got out of bed trying not to wake up that woman who was resting peacefully on the bed. She wandered through the home slowly as if she were a ghost, everything seemed fine. It looked like the home they had in Westview, that was like a huge blow in her heart.
The pictures there were mostly of Billy and Tommy, some with Natasha and friends, and some with Y/N in some pretty adorable moments.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Who's this woman to you?” she asked herself, clearly speaking to the Wanda she kept hidden in a dark corner of her mind.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Getting what she needed from her phone or computer, little by little learned everything about that place and what surrounded her. Pietro was alive and that caused a few tears to fall down her face, seeing some pictures that he and Monica sent the night before.
Monica and Pietro? They looked happy. She made a shocked but happy face. In that universe they were together, they looked cute tho.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Natasha was alive, that made her smile with joy, a feeling she hadn't felt for so long. The ‘Black Widow’ apparently was dating a friend of Y/N's, she looked cute too. ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Vision wasn’t in the picture, apparently they divorced some time ago.
That left the redhead a bit sad but not as much as expected, they both loved each other but she already lost him in her own universe. She wasn’t surprised that in other universes they had the same fate. Westview was what she needed to let him go, but not their children.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
The others were living a normal and quiet life. And heroes existed there too. The mighty Avengers, but they weren't who she knew. Captain Carter a.k.a. Peggy Carter, who seemed to be the one who received the super soldier serum. Spider-woman, although her identity was not known, Jessica Drew was the one under that mask among other superheroes who gave everything to protect the planet.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Y/N”. ‘Wanda’ murmured as she read the woman's name on the screen. Y/N Y/L/N, apparently was a doctor at a major hospital in the city. From Boston but living in New York, the best friend of Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova. Yelena who was Natasha's sister, or so she remembered.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
She made some coffee and spent the whole night learning every detail of the Wanda she was impersonating. The plan was to hold until she found a way to take her little ones and get out of that universe to one where they could be together.
The sun finally came out  and Y/N woke up feeling the warmth of the sun's rays against her face.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
After taking a hot bath she went down to the kitchen to meet Wanda, Y/N smiled looking at the huge banquet she made for breakfast. Of course there were two more places, which she surely thought would be occupied by Billy and Tommy.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Hello, my love.” Y/N approached with a tender smile, ready to kiss those soft lips but 'Wanda' carefully turned around before, trying to go unnoticed.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Hi, sweetie.” The redhead left a kiss on the doctor's cheek and walked away, taking the coffee pot to serve two steaming cups.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“How did you sleep?” Y/N took a seat, noticing how Wanda sat next to her.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Good. Very good, as always.” She forced a smile.  She couldn't make even the slightest mistake.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I see you've been busy.” On the table was enough to feed a whole group of Avengers. Wanda cooked fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, some fruits, Orange juice, pb&j sandwiches, muffins, hotcakes and pancakes. To be honest, she didn't even know what Y/N liked.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes, sorry, I woke up early and decided to spend time in the kitchen…" 'Wanda' bit her lower lip somewhat embarrassed. “I thought the kids would arrive early.”
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N nodded.  “Thank you, it looks really delicious.”
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It's okay?” The redhead tensed, did she make a mistake?
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Everything is perfect. Of course.” Y/N smiled happily, watching as Wanda scooped up some fried egg on her plate and on hers, but when she took the bacon for both of them the brunette was somewhat thoughtful. Confused. What was she doing? Maybe Wanda woke up a little distracted today.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Are you going to eat some bacon today, love?” Y/N gave her a mischievous look.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes. Do you want some more?” She offered more but Y/N gently shook her head.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“No, thanks.” Y/N smiled kindly and leaned down to kiss Wanda’s soft cheek. “I was just being curious.”
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
About half an hour later, maybe a little more, the doorbell rang making Wanda to jump out of her seat in a funny way. Her eyes lit up with each step she took down the hall, straight to the door.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You can do this…” She tried to calm herself. Inhaled deeply before opening the door, finding the little ones in front of her. Smiling mischievously at her.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda’s heart skipped a beat, her babies existed there, smiling as in those nightmares every night. Tears filled those green eyes but she didn't let any of them fall, she just cupped Billy's face and examined it tenderly, caressing his cheeks.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Billy...” The scarlet witch whispered, she admired the boy's green eyes, so similar to hers. His light brown hair always tousled to the side, a kind look and a mischievous smile.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead turned to see the little boy to one side, Tommy was watching her in the same way.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Tommy...” she whispered now caressing his face, leaving a kiss on the boy's forehead and hugged them both tightly, so much so that the little ones laughed a bit strange but happy. “I missed you so much…”
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“We're okay, mom!” Billy laughed.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It wasn't that long, just one night.” Tommy grumbled and smoothed his hair once Wanda released them.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Of course, yes. You're right.” Wanda nodded quickly and wiped her tears somewhat embarrassed. She stepped aside for the children to run inside the house, but when that man approached the door… she sighed deeply.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
That tall blond man with blue eyes approached to leave the little ones' backpacks, standing in front of her.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Vision.” The redhead gasped. The Scarlet Witch couldn't believe that she had that man in front of her once more. He was alive, he was human.  He was wearing a suit and round glasses that fit his face perfectly.
ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Wanda.” greeted the man kindly, nodding. Oh, that british accent. The blonde handed the backpacks and then walked away again, a bit awkward. Things had not turned out very well after the Event.  “They already had breakfast with me and Bonnie. Have a nice day, Wanda.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Without further ado, the man walked away, leaving her speechless. Kept clinging to the door and even if she wanted to say something, she couldn't, just seeing him again was too much. Not in the same way as before, she had left that love and pain behind her. But seeing him alive was…nice.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You okay?” Y/N's voice snapped her out of her thoughts again. She turned and closed the door behind her, hoping her eyes wouldn't shine from her tears. “Still uncomfortable from last night's argument?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead swallowed hard and nodded quickly, a little nervous. “Yeah... yeah something like that.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The two walked through the house together, the Sokovian left  the kids backpacks on the sofa when an arm around her waist made her jump. Those demonstrations of affection from her never ceased to amaze her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I love you, okay?” Y/N pulled her against her body, facing her. Her eyes settled on the green ones, on those beautiful big eyes that she loved so much. “I'm so glad to know that you chose me, after all.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I did.” Wanda hesitated. “I choose you.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Those words were more to repeat and believe it than to confirm it to Y/N. The Wanda of that universe left Vision behind, and with that a chance to be with him… to choose Y/N.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N. It was incredible.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N smiled at her and leaned down to place a soft kiss on her forehead and then walked to the kitchen, where the little ones were waiting for them.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“So, is everyone ready for our adventure today?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Tumblr media
“Okay, kids. Do you know where we are going?” Y/N asked as she drove down that road, it was a cloudy day but good enough to drive calmly. 'Wanda' was next to her, with a gaze lost in the landscape around.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ  The redhead could see some Christmas decorations, clearly the Christmas atmosphere dominated the streets, they were in the middle of December. Holidays were getting closer.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda' remembered how much she hated Christmas, and the few times it was good and comfortable was with the Avengers, Natasha and Steve. Melancholy invaded her one more time.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Noooo!” Both children said excitedly, trying to discover some clue along the way.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The brunette looked at them and smiled through the rearview mirror, she turned and took one of the direct streets she knew quite well. About five minutes later, she stopped the car and got out of it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Where we are?” Tommy asked curiously, getting out of the car and looking around. It looked like some kind of farm, until his little eyes found the huge sign.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
ㅤ ㅤㅤ Evergreen Valley Christmas Tree Farm.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Oh! Mom!” Billy exclaimed smiling, turning to see both women and ran to hug them tightly.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“We’re here to take a evergreen tree!” Y/N confessed hugging the little boy. The redhead smiled and she nodded, trying to look as sure as if she knew the whole plan. “This year we will go out looking for a Christmas tree!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Really?!” Tommy exclaimed, jumping a little, surprised and excited. “This year we will have a tree!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You two are the best!" Billy smiled happily and looked at his brother, they both high fived and ran towards the entrance of the place. Both women followed them  slowly, sharing a pleasant moment together. Y/N took Wanda by the hand, sighing at how cold she was but at the same time, so comforting.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You were right, they look so happy.” Y/N smiled at her lover. The Scarlet Witch said nothing, she just smiled back and nodded.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
And at that moment Y/N could see Wanda's eyes shine, as if she were just a little girl who wanted to run after her children. She never experienced anything like this, never in her whole life.  Her parents didn't have a lot of money, they gave everything they could to her and Pietro. Then living from orphanage to orphanage, she never had a place to call home.
She always living to survive.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The only thing Wanda was able to call home was the time she had in the Avengers Compound and it hadn't even been long. Westview…well, that painful illusion hadn't lasted either.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Have you ever done this before?” The brunette asked, noticing how Wanda bit her lip, trying to hide her growing smile.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Never…” She answered with sincerity and that natural Sokovian accent. Surely Pietro would be as excited as her, seeing that magical place. But that answer made the brunette fall silent and just nod, smiling tenderly.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Let’s go then!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
A huge row of trees one after another stood in front of them. The scent of Scotch Pine filled her nostrils. Between talks and laughter, that little family walked through looking for the perfect one. The twins ran around and pointed to some, according to Y/N the best thing to do was to go through everything and then make a final decision.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I can't believe they're here...” Wanda whispered to herself, seeing them again and having them by her side was... heartbreaking. Happy but painful. “They are happy here.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N just nodded.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Ow, look at this one…” said the brunette, crouching down in the grass and gently plucked a purple flower, quite beautiful and showy. “Platycodon grandiflorus.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N stood in front of her and handed the flower to her girlfriend. “For you.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“For me?” Wanda whispered, surprised by that romantic gesture. No one had ever had such a… lovely gesture. Kind of cheesy, sure, pretty cheesy to be honest but no one had ever tried it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Vision tried to be romantic, of course he did his best, but he always made it clear that he was a bit... robot. He tried to learn how to behave as a human, learning about his own feelings.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda' always knew this, even so, she loved him and accepted him as he accepted her. But no one had ever given her a flower before...
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Woah… this is…” The scarlet witch swallowed, slightly nervous, in a way she hadn't been in a while. Her cheeks flushed, her heart began to beat faster. What was it that she felt?  “It’s beautiful. Thank you, Y/N.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
With one of the most sincere and loving looks, Y/N dared to confess in the most romantic way possible: “I would give you everything in this world to see you happy.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The tension between the two was felt again, that exquisite tension before a kiss, the challenge between the two to maintain that look of love. She shouldn't be feeling that way with someone other than Vision.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Flirting with someone who wasn't her other half...  But, she had to admit that this woman was wonderful in every way.
Y/N  wanted to make her happy, wanted to make her fall in love with her every moment they had together and the Scarlet Witch had to admit that she feared that Y/N would achieve it. So easily…
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘Wanda’ swallowed hard.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I like this one!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“And this one!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The voice of the kids caught their attention, breaking the spell.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Me too, it looks big!” Billy ran over to said tree and pointed at it, it was the biggest one. “Can we take that one, mom?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes, mom! Please!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N giggled when she saw the little ones and then turned to Wanda. “What do you say, Wands?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
But Wanda seemed completely lost at the moment, at times it was hard for her to continue with that lie so she just nodded awkwardly.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes, yes. Of course…” ‘Wanda’ stammered but always smiled. The little ones cheered and Y/N nodded but when she approached the huge green tree, something fell from it with some awkwardness.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
A ball of white fur began to walk clumsily and drowsily, an adorable cat watched them with fear but also sleep in those round and small eyes.
Clearly the cat had taken that tree as a refuge and no one noticed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It’s a cat!” Tommy pointed it out and took a step towards that white furball, which backed off somewhat fearfully but after noticing that the little ones' intentions weren't bad, the cat allowed the boy to touch it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It's tickling me!” Billy chuckled as the cat began to pace between his legs. Far from shying away, the cat seemed quite happy to finally get some love.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It looks adorable.” Y/N approached them and noticed how the cat had somewhat damaged ears, as well as scratches on its face and muzzle. He was skinnier than he should be, and the  body also had scars from living on the street. “He looks old but he is still very young... the scars make him look like an adult. You can see that he is homeless and lives here hidden.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Don't you have a home?” Billy asked to the cat, 'Wanda' watched everything somewhat moved.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I don’t think so.” Y/N made a sad face while she caressed between the cute ears of the feline.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Can we take him home, mom?” Tommy asked worried and somewhat excited, Billy nodded as well. Both children approached the redhead so they could beg her to let them take that cat. Somewhat overwhelmed, 'Wanda' hesitated for a moment. What to do? Casting the spell to be there was easy, but playing and acting as the Wanda of that place became difficult. The looks of her children were difficult to reject, why worry about that if she would soon take them with her?
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes, yes, of course.” She nodded and the children cheered again happily, hugging her mom's hips at the same time, making the Scarlet witch's heart to pound faster.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The brunette smiled tenderly and took the cat in her arms, who despite being somewhat afraid, noticing that they wouldn't hurt him, allowed himself to be carried away easily.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
They all walked down that road again, the children went ahead so they could tell the manager while the two women stayed behind.
The sun began to go down, a beautiful sunset settled in front of them.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You’re okay, Wands?” Y/N couldn't help feeling that something else was going on, her instincts said something was up and she couldn't help it. “You're quiet today…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda' turned to see her and just shook her head.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I'm okay, Y/N. I'm just… happy.” She told the truth, but not quite. Before she could say anything else, the redhead stumbled a little dizzy, something that surprised herself and Y/N. ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You okay, my love?” Y/N asked worriedly, but 'Wanda' walked away from her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Sorry, I think I'm a bit allergic to our new friend.” ‘Wanda’ giggled and shook her head. She was lying, clearly. The hold she had on the Wanda of that universe was beginning to weaken.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N frowned at her. “Are you sure you want to keep it at home? I can take it to mine.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It's okay. I'm okay.” Repeated the Scarlet Witch, this time trying to sound more convincing. She was grateful to see the manager approaching with the little ones, it meant that they could take that damn tree and go back home as soon as possible.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Her plan was falling apart little by little, time was running out.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Let's take that tree and go home, okay?”
 ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Tumblr media
When they got home, the first thing they all did together was to make a comfy bed for 'Artemis' in the Maximoff home. Billy and Tommy said that the cat looked like the White cat from 'Sailor Moon', that's why they named it Artemis.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ 'Wanda' accepted the feline would stay with them for as long as he wanted, and far from wanting to leave, Artemis clung to the children and followed them wherever they went. He was so in need of love and affection, and now he had come to a home where it was not lacking.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N volunteered to cook, making a delicious lasagna that everyone enjoyed for dinner. They then watched a few episodes of ‘Malcolm  in the middle’ together, enjoying some ice cream for dessert.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘Please, mom, can we have more ice cream?’
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The adorable looks of the twins begging for ice cream with Artemis on their laps. Her belly filled with such welcoming warmth, the happiness of having them that way again.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda's' lips tremble and her eyes filled with tears. What was happening to her? What is all that she was feeling?
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The guilt was beginning to choke her. The redhead spent a whole day with them and -even though she was happy to have them back- it hurt to think of all that she would take from them.
But she could give them all of that too, couldn't she? Like their mom, could make them as happy as the Wanda of that universe. She could do it even better.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The Scarlet Witch shook her head trying to drive away all those thoughts, needed to relax and think. She had very little time left. ‘Wanda’ got up from her seat and walked towards the kitchen, trying to find refuge.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She looked at herself for a moment in that same window where she possessed Wanda and closed her eyes, had to concentrate, because even though the real Wanda had no powers, the Scarlet Witch was beginning to wear herself out.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Headache?”  the voice of Y/N again, who came to the kitchen while "Wanda" finished washing the dishes.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“No, it just… it just hurts a bit, yes.” The redhead smiled ruefully and she dried her hands on a dish towel, turning to see Y/N. “It really was a beautiful day. Thank you…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Don’t thank me… I'm so glad you had a good time.” Y/N watched her completely in love, tucking a lock of red hair behind her ear. “I want to see you happy, more than anything in the world.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
That smile. Oh no.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She not just had that damn smile and a charming voice, Y/N was not only taller and so beautiful, but she had such… adorable details, so attentive, so soft, so charming. The Scarlet Witch wasn’t used to that kind of affection, that kind of love.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Well, she couldn't deny it anymore. Y/N was lovely, she was kind, she was loving, and she was so sweet to her. She was attentive, she always seemed willing to make her feel good and… she loved her. Not her, the other Wanda but still. Y/N wanted her so bad.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Those eyes so deep into hers that they seemed to make you lose and fall, like the depths of the ocean. Those warm lips, so attractive and so soft. What would it be like to kiss her? A real kiss. They looked so good, she imagined herself devoured in kisses, devoured by those lips, all night long.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
And without thinking about it anymore, as if her body acted by itself, 'Wanda' leaned over to kiss her lips and end the distance between them one more time.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The first kiss with Y/N, or at least that's how she felt it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead's heart pounded and a million little winged animals took over her belly, fluttering from one side to the other. Such an enchanting sensation she never felt before.
Soft and sweet lips. What was all that? Oh, goddess.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
As soon as they moved away from each other, Wanda felt as if the world turned cold and meaningless. What was all that? Was it because she was dreamwalking that Wanda? Were those feelings hers or her variant?
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She couldn't even say anything, even if she wanted to, her brain wouldn't allow it. Her legs were shaking like a leaf. All those questions vanished when Y/N spoke again.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I think it's time to be honest with each other.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Those words broke all the charm around her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What do you mean, detka?” The scarlet witch smiled confused, frowning at her not understanding what she was talking about.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N smiled tenderly, she was not good at lying. She had never been. Y/N cradled Wanda's face in her hands.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I don't know how, or why, although to be honest... six years ago half the universe disappeared thanks to an alien invasion, and recently they came back thanks to a strange group of people with powers who sacrificed everything to achieve it.” She narrowed her eyes, thoughtful.  She didn't seem angry, but her words carried a serious enough tone.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
'Wanda' remained with the same confused look. Perhaps Y/N wasn't as innocent as she had hoped. This whole fairy tale was beginning to break down and that was terrifying. The taller woman bit her lower lip, still thoughtful. She tried to be as direct and as less uncomfortable as possible with her words. Didn't want to anger whoever was in the body of her beloved.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Therefore, it wouldn't be so crazy to think that...” Y/N hesitated and Wanda arched an eyebrow, this time she no longer looked like a puppy stuck in a corner.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“That…?” the redhead tensed, leaning her hips against the kitchen counter.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N she sighed deeply, knowing that what she would say might not make any sense. “You're not my Wanda.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
After a few seconds of silence,  'Wanda' burst out laughing,  carrying her performance through to the end. “What are you talking about? Come on, detka, it's late for these games. We should go to sleep.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The scarlet witch rolled her eyes and began to walk towards the door but the brunette grabbed her by the waist, forcing her to turn around. How dare she? To touch her like that. The sokovian searched her mind for the last person who faced her like this, no one came to her mind.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You don't have to keep acting, Wanda.” Y/N sighed and took her girlfriend's hand, leading her to the sofa so they could sit together.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Having the person who looked like the love of her life in front of her, but wasn't. It was so strange. The doctor licked her lips and tried to find the right words to say.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I know something is going on here, and you don't have to be afraid. I don't want to make you uncomfortable, but I can't take any more lies.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The sokovian opened her mouth, ready to make her best performance, but after all, 'Wanda' just sighed, accepting things as they were. Y/N wasn't stupid. “What made you find out?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Almost as if that answer was a cool breeze on a hot day, Y/N closed her eyes and nodded slowly. At least she was able to get her sincerity, and know the truth no matter how painful it was.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“In the morning, the first thing was… You haven't eaten bacon since you were nine years old, because when you were little you had an adorable pig as pet. It was called Helga.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
That made 'Wanda' nod, noticing her mistake. It wasn't as serious as she'd hoped, but the curtain on her had fallen completely. It was time to come clean, on both sides.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Then when I told you that my mother was coming to visit us soon…” Y/N licked her lips and scratched her neck, thinking of how to say the following: “My mother left us when I was six years old, we lived in Boston.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘Wanda’ looked down, watching her hands. Her fingers were intertwined with Y/N's, she tried to remove them but the brunette didn't let her. Just with soft caresses, she convinced her to continue that way.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“When you spoke to Natasha on a video call, you almost started crying. I think you did when you locked yourself in the bathroom for a few minutes... Then some phrases regarding the twins, like you've lost them. I noticed you something lost in your thoughts... and finally your allergy to Artemis.” Y/N wrinkled her nose.  “You’re not allergic to cats, I’m a doctor and you had a medical examination three months ago.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda sighed deeply and got up from her seat. “I think that's too much evidence already.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The scarlet witch looked up this time, but far from showing the tenderness of the real Wanda, she seemed much more serious and empty. Y/N could see the pain in her eyes, the real pain. The loneliness, the sadness, something she had never seen in her own Wanda.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“How?” The brunette asked blankly, she kept her brow furrowed. “Why?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead smiled sadly and shook her head. “The 'how' is much more difficult than the 'why'.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She walked towards the living room one more time before everything changed, before making a decision that would change everyone's lives.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You know, the hex was the easy part…” The redhead took one of the family pictures. Wanda, Y/N, Billy and Tommy. “…the lying, not so much.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Melancholy seized her heart with an enormous force. How come she had it all?  Why could that Wanda have it and she couldn't? Although the answer was obvious, of course she could have it all. If the Wanda of that universe had everything she dreamed of... it was because she had no powers.  She wasn't cursed with those habilities she carried, with that curse. That Wanda wasn’t the Scarlet Witch, nor was she a mutant, nor was she a woman with powers.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She was just… Wanda Maximoff. Realizing that made her heart break even more.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Why are you here?” Y/N began to feel somewhat insecure. “Where’s my Wanda?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
A lump formed in her throat, where was the love of her life? Fear soon invaded her body completely.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Where's Wanda?” She asked again, the atmosphere tensed. The scarlet witch licked her lips.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“She's locked in her mind, until I get what I want.” Wanda's accent became ticker and her voice a little hoarser.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“And what do you want?” The brunette whispered, afraid to know that answer.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“My boys.” Wanda raised her chin, walking slowly through that room without taking her eyes off Y/N. “I'm going to take Billy and Tommy out of this reality...to be with me, with their mother.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You what?”  Y/N's face perfectly expressed everything she felt, totally horrified. That couldn't be true, none of this made sense. “Are you out of your mind? You can’t do that!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“And who’s going to stop me?” This time the Sokovian took a more aggressive and protective pose. No one was going to prevent her from being with her boys again; Wanda moved forward until she was in front of Y/N. “You?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“YES!” The brunette exclaimed without hesitation, surprising the green-eyed woman. Boy, the civilian wasn't afraid to face a goddess. “Yes, yes! I will! You can't come… wherever you are from and destroy the life of the people I love!” Y/N screamed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She tried to calm down, Y/N didn't usually lose her temper but none of this made sense. Any.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
What if Wanda was losing her mind? Why was it easier to believe that someone had taken her body and not admit that she might need help? What if she was losing her mind and imagining everything?
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The Scarlet Witch noticed that Y/N was becoming a victim of an anxiety attack, which incredibly moved her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Detka… stop…” And for the first time… her plan took a backseat. Y/N mattered more now.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“She’s their mom!” Y/N flared up again, feeling the tears wanting to escape from her eyes. “I don’t want to lose her… She’s my everything…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Those words, as deep as the depths of the ocean, deeply hurt the Scarlet Witch.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“And me?!” She exclaimed angrily, feeling how everything inside her caught fire. “What about me?!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Finally she was honest even with herself, Y/N's words hurt her. And the brunette frowned at her, even more confused. “…what?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“She has everything, doesn't she?” Wanda’s voice came out as a hiss. A pang of jealousy and sadness stabbed into that woman’s heart, and for the first time she felt like a jealous lioness trying to take care of her own. “She can have my kids, and a perfect life where she doesn't feel like some horrible, dangerous thing, and a woman who loves her deeply!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The sokovian cried out in pain, her heart breaking at each word. Y/N she didn't say anything, she was speechless. And even if she knew what to say at a moment like this, just swallowed and decided to listen. Listen to the pain that this ‘Wanda’ carried inside of her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“SHE HAS IT ALL!” The redhead let out one more time and as if it were the straw that broke the camel's back, she broke down. 'Wanda' she let out in tears, a cry as unstoppable as the pain inside.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
That left the doctor completely shocked, not knowing what to say. Her heart broke just seeing her suffer like that, even if she wasn't hers, it was her eyes, it was her body, it was her tears, it was her voice.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ Y/N swallowed and ended the distance that separated them, wrapping her in a tight hug. Although the redhead tried to get out of her embrace with strength, Y/Nended up wrapping her tenderly until 'Wanda' gave up on her, letting herself be loved.
“I’m so sorry, beautiful. I'm sorry for everything you've been through, and everything you feel.” Y/N cooed. They both stayed together, sitting on the sofa and hugging each other for a while until the dark-haired girl dared to ask:
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What's going on, Wands? You can tell me anything, I'm not going to judge you...” She sought the gaze of her beloved, or whoever held Wanda prisoner, and this time Y/N found a tiny and different sparkle. “What is it?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
With her eyes full of tears and pain, the Scarlet Witch kept her gaze on that woman who -since she had come to that reality- had shown her how beautiful was to be by her side, and how painful her own reality was.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Why can't I be happy too?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N's heart broke even more.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Why can't I have everything… like she does?” ‘Wanda’ whispered again, almost like a plea.  But then she lowered her gaze, accepting the reality that would haunt her all her life. She would never have it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The Scarlet Witch sighed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“In my world… I am a fugitive from the Law. I am…” She swallowed, completely ashamed of herself. “I was an Avenger, everyone I loved was.” Y/N looked at her with curiosity and tenderness, but above all: a lot of love and understanding. The redhead was starting to open up and that was good. She would never have thought that Wanda could be an avenger. That sounded so cool but dangerous.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“My parents died in a bombing attack in Sokovia when I was little. My Pietro died saving the world, along with our entire country."
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She sniffled at those memories. “My Vision is dead, he did it for a greater good. Saving the world too. Natasha died saving the world again. Steve left us… to save the world.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N didn't say anything, all of that seemed to torment her so much and for a moment, she completely understood that Wanda.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“That world has taken so much from me, Y/N…” ‘Wanda’ looked up, trying to keep the anguish from closing her throat. “And I thought… of having something for myself. You know? So…I lost who I thought were my children.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The brunette next to her didn't say anything, just stroked her back in small circles, trying to comfort her. 'Wanda' needed a lighthouse to calm all that stormy sea.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Everyone says they weren't mine but…but they felt so real.” She finished, her voice so low Y/N feared not listen to her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The Scarlet Witch took time to tell Y/N everything that happened, from Ultron in Sokovia to Westview with Agatha, ending in that cabin in the woods in Yellowstone, where she decided to open the Darkhold and look for realities where she would find the twins.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ And far from fearing her or feeling rejection, Y/N felt great empathy and pain for that Wanda. For a Wanda that wasn’t loved and understood  as her beloved one was.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
One that didn't have a Y/N, or Billy and Tommy, or a Vision, or her brother, or her best friend. She was all alone in a world that rejected and feared her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I understand you.” Y/N finally confessed, making the redhead to look at her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘Wanda’ widened her eyes and asked, surprised:  “You do?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I do.” She nodded and continued stroking the back of the redhead next to her. But of course there was a big 'but' after those words and 'Wanda' knew that. “But I know there's a big heart in there… ‘cause I can see it in your eyes, and even though you've made tough decisions, I know you can put them behind you. I know that you can start over, and I know that you can do it well. I know you love them and want to be with them…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“But…?” ‘Wanda’ swallowed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“But you can't take them away.” Y/N took 'Wanda's' hand and intertwined her fingers. “You know that this is not right, it’s not right to take a mother's children away. You know they will suffer if they leave their home, their life here… they will suffer and I know you don't want that.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda was quiet this time.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I know you love them so much and I'm sorry.” Y/N sighed heavily. “You can come visit them if you want. Maybe my Wanda will let you do it.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The scarlet witch smiled tenderly and somewhat ironically, she was too innocent. “I'm not allowed to do this… I'm breaking thousands of natural laws just by being here.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I see…” Y/N nodded.  “It must not be nice to have someone take your body.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead smiled somewhat embarrassed and looked down, nodding.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“If you had your powers...would you hurt me?” Y/N asked somewhat shy.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The sokovian was silent for a moment and finally answered sincerely: “No, I would never hurt you.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“How are you feeling?” Y/N asked curiously. “Not having any powers.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“At first it felt…fine.” She narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. Never thought she would feel that way again. So... human. “Then I felt empty, I felt…vulnerable. I felt alone.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Despite hating them... you missed your powers.” Y/N smirked.  “You hate them but you have also learned to feel safe with them.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I thought you were a doctor, not a psychologist.” The scarlet witch teased and they both smiled sincerely. Unbelievably, everything felt better with Y/N by her side.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Breathing deeply and regretfully, the scarlet witch rose to move forward.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Please, Y/N… I don't want them to suffer… Make them happy.” She was ready to go.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I will, I will do my best. I swear.” The taller woman only nodded, willing to fulfill that oath.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N remained pensive for a few seconds and glanced at the clock, dawn was near.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
An idea came to her mind, she wanted to make that moment as painless as possible for ‘Wanda’, to abandon the whole idea of being able to have her children. “Would you like to watch the sunrise with me? To say goodbye... as it should.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Somewhat surprised and moved, 'Wanda' nodded in agreement. “That would be lovely. Thank you, Y/N.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Taking her by the hand, Y/N led Wanda to the terrace walking slowly, allowing her to say goodbye to every corner of that home and above all: to the little ones. She placed soft kisses on her children's forehead before closing the door and leaving all behind, fighting with that dark voice in the Darkhold saying ‘take everything and destroy it’.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Can I ask you something?” Y/N asked when they both sat together, the sky was dark but at the end of the horizon the sun was rising slowly. The cool breeze brushed against her face, it felt so good. “Who am I? … In your world... Who am I? what do I do?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead smiled sadly, squeezing Y/N's hand gently to appease the disappointment she might feel. “I don’t know… We don't know each other.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Ow. That sucks.” Y/N  grimaced and sighed, turning to see the sunrise again.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
But the Scarlet Witch didn't, she kept her gaze on Y/N's face, burning every part of it in her memory so she wouldn't forget it. She will never forget her. Her heart -which she thought was frozen-  was beating again at Y/N’s side.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“How can I find you?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What?” Y/N frowned in confusion.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“How could I find you?” The Sokovian blushed, almost as if she were a fifteen-year-old asking her out on a date. “To your variant... if I wanted to do it. How?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Well... my name is Y/N Y/L/N.” That surprised both Y/N and Wanda herself, they both smiled at each other. One of the first sincere smiles. “I like burgers, latte and I like music and animals. Specially bears…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“And you think that with that I'm going to find you?” The redhead teased, arching an eyebrow. “It's something you would find on any Matcher profile.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Oh sassy.” Y/N laughed. "Okay... mmm... if I wasn't a doctor, I would definitely be a veterinarian or something to do with animals and nature.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“That sounds better.” She nodded. The sun's rays illuminate that gorgeous face, her eyes look greener than ever. So beautiful that she took a breath away from Y/N.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Wanda?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What’s your Avenger name?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“My what?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Your Avenger name! You know… like… Captain Carter? Or… Iron Man.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Oh…” ‘Wanda’ was a little thoughtful, never had one but... “Some call me the 'Scarlet Witch'.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Woah…” Y/N said  surprised, then both giggled, maybe it was a bit cheesy.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“So cheesy, I know!” ㅤ ㅤㅤ “Noo! Sounds badass and… sexy!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Oh, shut up!”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
They both sighed, watching as the sun rose little by little, the light covering even the darkest corners of the city.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I know you hate your habilities, you consider them a curse.” Y/N whispered and cocked her head to look at her. “But you have the possibility to do great things with it. Helping those who can't get help, and you did it… that makes me proud of you.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda swallowed.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Can I say something else?” That question was a bit silly, of course she was going to do it anyway. “What makes you think you won't have the twins there? You've never really been pregnant, right? So…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N made a face and Wanda arched an amused eyebrow.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“What if you just manifested a wish…? You wanted them so much… And maybe you can do it if you try…with the right person.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N didn't say anything after that, just kept quiet. The scarlet witch placed her head resting on Y/N's shoulder, letting herself be carried away by her.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I never thought about that. I always thought they would also be Vision's children.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Well, according to what you told me, it was what you wanted and he was a robot...”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
"A synthezoid." Wanda corrected her and Y/N rolled her eyes.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
"A robotzoid, so... It could happen.” Y/N shrugged and looked into her eyes, losing herself for a few seconds. The sunbeams now made that green look more hopeful and less sad.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Wanda?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Yes?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Please… get rid of that damn book, okay? There’s nothing good in it.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Silence reigned until the redhead spoke.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Take care, okay?” Wanda brought her hand to Y/N's face and caressed it gently.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Take care too, Scarlet Witch. I’ll miss you.” Y/N smiled widely.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda ended the wait and kissed her softly, a kiss that would change all of her reality.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
A kiss so soft and full of love that it lasted a moment until the redhead pulled away quickly, surprised.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Y/N?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Baby?” Y/N took Wanda's face and this time was able to confirm, in her heart, that she was her own Wanda. Her beloved, she was back.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Y/N!” The green eyes filled with tears, sadness but happiness too. She could finally get her body and her life back.  “I was so lost…”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I know, my love. I’m here…”
Tumblr media
Her heart pounded fast when she opened those green eyes, Wanda finally  woke up from that terrible experience. Her breathing was agitated, tears wanted to run down her face but she decided to be strong and get up from that cold floor of that cabin.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Around her there was a circle of candles that guided and accompanied the Scarlet Witch in that ritual, which she extinguished with just a delicate movement of her fingers. Her fingers, slightly black from the wickedness of the book.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ Wanda sighed when she saw that her powers remained, maybe Y/N was right. Maybe it wasn't so bad to have them, now that she needed and depended on them.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
She wandered around her 'home', that lonely cabin where Wanda lived since she escaped from Westview and where she had been learning more about the Darkhold. That damn book.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
The redhead fixed her gaze on that spooky book, so terrifying and full of atrocities. The voices within it commanded her to seize it, to open it up and unleash her full power. To destroy the world, to make it her own because it was her destiny.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
But just as promised, she spent the day hiding that awful book in the darkest and most dangerous depths of the planet. Where no one dared to find it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
A chaos magic portal opened in the forest, letting a female figure pass through and quickly disappearing. The full moon shone with a unique intensity, allowing her to see the path she was taking.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
With slow steps, Wanda walked through that clearing in the forest. Using her magic now she changed her clothes, leaving behind that scarlet suit of the Scarlet Witch now she was wearing jeans, a plaid shirt and a leather jacket. Her hair went from being loose and wild with that headpiece to a side braid, just like Natasha taught her to do it.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Was she doing the right thing to do? That what she wondered on the way back to her cabin, but the sound of leaves cracking alerted her. Raised her hands ready to defend herself when she saw a flashlight.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Hello?...” A female voice caught her attention, seeing that it was a forest ranger, she stopped.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
"Hi..." Wanda sighed much more relaxed when she saw that there was no danger, but when the girl came out from behind the dark trees and the moonlight illuminated her face... Wanda was speechless.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you… I thought you were a stray  wild animal.” The girl smiled kindly and turned off her flashlight. “Tonight I got this area, I thought I had seen some strange lights but I guess it was you. Thankfully, you'd be surprised at the number of young satanists I've found in certain areas of the woods. Creepy.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Wanda didn't say anything, couldn't believe what she was seeing. In front of her was a dark-haired woman, taller than her and with those eyes that had taken her breath away. The only thing different was her forest Ranger uniform which... well, made her look very good.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Ma’am… Are you okay?” Y/N frowned a little more concerned.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Y-Yes. I'm sorry, I thought… you look like someone I knew. Yes, I'm okay.” Wanda stammered nervously and tucked a lock behind her ear.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N narrowed her eyes curiously and a little amused. Was that girl stoned or what? Oh, with all her heart she hoped that wasn't the case. She was sick of these guys stoned in the woods.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Are you lost?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I…” Wanda hesitated and thought for some lie to tell, but just nodded her head. “Yes, I think I'm lost. My phone ran out of battery and I'm renting a cabin near here.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“You're one of those out to enjoy tonight's huge Blood moon, huh? Astronomy fans. Oh, so good that I found you then. Maybe was destiny…” The brunette nodded for them to start walking together. “Come with me… Is it alright with you if we come over to my cabin?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
Y/N took off her coat and put it over the redhead's, trying to appease the cold.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“It's not far from here, if you can… I'll take you home in the truck.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Sounds good.” Wanda blushed slightly at that beautiful gesture and nodded. “You're a forest ranger... do you like animals?”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I love them! By the way, my name is Y/L.” She introduced herself by holding out her hand in a clumsy but cute way. “Y/N Y/LN.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
‘such a dork, still a cute dork.’ Wanda thought.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
And smiling broadly with a certain tenderness, Wanda shook her hand. “Wanda Maximoff.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“Nice to meet you, Wanda.” The brunette pointed to one of the ways out of that clearing. “Come on… It’s getting a bit chilly and it’s not safe here tho. Do you have any idea how many wild animals roam these places? Anyway… Would you like some hot chocolate? I also have some coffee.”
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
And while the brunette stammered over and over again, a wide smile began to form on Wanda's lips. And that look of sadness began to disappear, leaving only room for hope.
ㅤ ㅤㅤ
“I would love it… Y/N.”

The Dreamer With the Power of a Goddess
This is a trope/archetype I CAN'T FIND A NAME FOR ANYWHERE. So I decided to write an essay on it instead. This is also the trope/archetype I identify with more than anything but moving on.
The basic framework for this trope is:
A girl who tends to be really quiet, shy, kind, sweet, and empathetic
They have a HUGE imagination
They tend to be INFP's, which is why there is an emphasis on compassion and imagination in their character
This imagination pours out into raw, goddess-like power, usually creative in nature (but that can vary)
This power is limitless
This power is inherently tied to all that they are internally, including their emotions
This power, when unable to be controlled, is a sizable threat to other people around her
Due to the power's size, trauma, or lack of trust from the people around her, the Dreamer usually struggles with controlling the power inside of them.
This leads them to develop big self-trust issues, and may even lead them to thinking they are a monster
People scared by their power will often call for their immediate execution because "no one should have that power"
They manage to learn how to control their power in the end
So I am going to give a few examples (though they don't all manifest the same way), and one runner-up.
1) Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch (MCU version)
Tumblr media
Wanda Maximoff is the quintessential example of this character. No matter the canon, Wanda has the ability to reshape reality as we know it. In the MCU, Wanda's biggest escape were sitcoms - especially ones that emphasized normal family life - because her life was one difficult, horrible, traumatic event after another. Her escape was a very specific version of storytelling.
To add to that, with every bout of grief Wanda suffered, her goals in life changed. She lost her parents, she joined HYDRA to take down Tony Stark. She lost her brother, she joined the Avengers (that Tony funds) to protect the world. She lost Vision, she transformed Westview. She lost her kids (and Vision again), she tried to use highly dangerous and corruptive magics to find her family again.
Every step she took was either to avenge or recreate family. Sitcoms were the thing that gave Wanda this. She dreamed of a normal, happy, safe, healthy family and as a result, the power of her imagination and creative abilities made just that for her. Unfortunately, when she is using her power from a place of grief, she can take away people's free will, imprison them in another reality, and she can be corrupted by darker forces.
In the comic we have the infamous "No More Mutants" moment because she has been driven insane with grief.
Grief is Wanda's biggest flaw and hurtle in any medium she is in. She has the power of a goddess, but she has only dreamt of having a safe and normal life. As a result, she fits the archetype well but has yet to actually (in the MCU) reach the point where she masters herself and as a result, her powers. But the fact that she has to master herself is proof that her power is tied to her emotions.
When Westview was made, it was her making it. But it was formed subconsciously of her own pain and grief. She didn't choose to imprison all these people (though she certainly chose to stay that way). What we saw was Wanda's inner world spilling out all across Westview. Sitcoms, the last source she had of happiness and family.
When she realized she was hurting everyone, she retook control of her powers and relinquished this paradise she had built for herself. She took responsibility for her actions as much as she possibly could.
2) Elsa, the Fifth Spirit (Frozen/Frozen 2)
Tumblr media
Elsa's entire arc is about her magic. From mastering it to discovering what it is actually for. It is inherently tied to her emotions, and more importantly, whether she trusts herself or not.
If she believes fear is the enemy, she cannot control her powers because she believes fear is the thing making it uncontrollable.
If she believes conceal, don't feel, don't let it show, it has a limited amount of control over her magic.
If she believes she is safe and in control, she is in control.
Also, more than that, Elsa is an artist. This has been established in the Frozen 2 art book. Elsa is a literal artist who makes her own clothes, her own castles, her own snow guard, and so much more.
However, as we all know, Elsa's magic is winter. She does not have raw creative power like Wanda Maximoff. Everything she makes is created of aspects of winter - snow, ice, wind. However, Elsa still fits the bill for this trope because where her imagination goes, her magic goes. It is all just made of raw winter.
Now to say she is a dreamer... is not really something that can be established until Frozen 2, if that. Elsa's character - as many people like to argue - has always been regal, responsible, pragmatic. However, it could also be argued that she was this way because of the trauma created by her childhood and powers. She had to be in control at all times.
However, I will make one argument in the dreamer direction... Elsa's power aren't truly in balance until she can live out in nature full-time. The girl froze an entire sea with her power by the end of the movie. Nature is... wild, free, limitless in its power, and has no rules to speak of. Elsa lived her life with only rules for so long and by the end, she has no rules at all to hold her back (in my opinion, love, connection, community, and companionship are not the same thing as rules).
Elsa is, effectively, her magic. They are one and the same. Which means to have such a wild force inside her is an indicator that Elsa was always wild to begin with. She just also loves fiercely, which is why she was so controlled for a lot of her character arc.
3) Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons (Game of Thrones/ASOIAF)
Tumblr media
Okayyy, I am going to be referencing the show a lot because I have only read the first book of the series.
Daenerys, before she married Drogo and gets her dragon eggs, is the definition of a dreamer. She's in an abusive situation with her brother resulting in her having to insulate. A lot. She is a young girl who dreams of home, just like her brother. Except while he dreams of dragons and Westeros, she dreams of Braavos and the lemon tree.
The two main reasons I give her the "dreamer" label: 1) Dany has been typed as an INFP over and over and over 2) Her evolution throughout the first book is, in part, the strengthening of her faith. Rising strength, prophetic dreams, and the return of dragons to the world at the end. It all required Dany to trust in herself and the guidance she received all those months traveling with her khalasar.
Magic happens for Dany a lot. Whether she is the Prince that was Promised or not, this cannot be denied. When they receive the dragon eggs at her wedding, those dragons could have impacted either her or her brother. Yet she was the one absorbing the power, getting the dreams, and getting stronger. The dragon magic made her more of what she already was.
The dreamer part (in terms of imagination) really came out at the end of the first book when she brought dragons back in the world. She performed a ritual off of intuition alone that had been lost to the centuries. So many had tried to restore dragons to no avail. But it was when the last dragon dynasty was truly gone and the last dragon herself was at her lowest that the power of the dragons was returned. Dreamers have faith and Dany has loads of it.
The goddess part does not come out in creation. It comes out in her dragons and in her leadership. I'm not trying to argue that Dany should be worshipped, but I am arguing that she fits the trope. All three dragons grow to immense side and it only takes one to level a whole city in under an hour. Yet, it is Dany's natural mercy that restraints what damage is done. Don't get me wrong - Dany has done damage. But it is her strength balanced with her kindness that prevents that power from being used the wrong way.
She has the destructive power of a goddess, and thankfully the wisdom to go with it (for now).
However, the fear that she is a monster is there. She went too far with crucifying the masters. Her dragons attacked innocent people, and almost her as well. She fears she will be a tyrant and a monster like her father. Yet, she is also learning that sometimes her strength is needed. Considering how much power she has amassed, she is going to be struggling with this conflict for the rest of her life.
4) Persephone, Goddess of Spring & Queen of the Underworld
Tumblr media
Persephone is, archetypally, considered a dreamer by definition. As a child, she tends to be introvertive, quiet, and has a rich inner world. She was raised by a goddess who emphasizes community and the everyman, instilling in Persephone a sense of empathy for other people.
She is already a "goddess" at the beginning of her myth. However, by the end, she is both Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld. Whilst her power is not as creative as a few of the other examples, it is immense in its scope because it is the cycle of life and death itself. She raises life and descends with the dead. She cycles with the seasons and the gifts/struggles they bring. She rises into the living for half the year and watches over the dead for the other half. She has an immense responsibility.
Now, I cannot quite say whether the character fears her own power or not. In some modern retellings, she has such power that she fears (partially because her mother teaches her to). Rachel Smythe's Lore Olympus leans into the trope of limitless power for Persephone a lot more, whereas Nikita Gill's Great Goddesses puts an emphasis on her power of decay and death as something Persephone fears in herself.
Persephone's story is considered to be one of trauma. However, by the end of it, her quiet, kind nature is the thing that thrives and is reborn when she steps into her full, goddess power. She embraces all of herself and uses it all for the domain over which she rules.
Runner-up:
Riley Blue, August 8th Cluster (Sense8)
Tumblr media
Riley is close. But not quite because she doesn't actually have goddess-like power.
However, I would like to argue that her power can touch just as much people. She is a DJ and when she takes to the stage, she can change a whole room. Riley's power is connection and she uses her music and her love to do just that.
She is a woman who has suffered immense grief and trauma. However, when she is at her best... she can help people escape. She can start revolutions.
Her music can change the whole world.

This particular sub is a fucking goldmine for terrible MCU takes.
Oh man, so much crap in one place 🤦‍♀️
There is a strange subset of people that are convinced Wanda did nothing wrong
Are they convinced she did nothing wrong or are they trying to contextualize and explain her actions and you're taking that as them justifying what she did?
The military guy saying (rightfully) that she is imprisoning and puppeteering hundreds if not thousands of people
Do these fans seriously think Hayward gave a damn about those people? His beef was with Wanda. He tried to provoke her at Sword's HQ and when that didn't work he kept trying to go after her with the armed drones + his words during Woo's introduction to the Sword agents + when he entered the Hex and started firing at kids. Not to mention this guy was turning Vision's body into a weapon. Hayward was many things but 'good' was never one of them.
90% of people that didn't vote for Wanda never saw WandaVision, MoM or AoU
Wanda was corrupted by Waldron the Darkhold in MoM. She enslaved Westview, yes, and she also let them escape in the end. And she tried to get the Avengers hurt in AoU and joined Ultron, but she also ran away the moment she found out what Ultron wanted to do and she teamed up with the Avengers instead to save innocent lives.
If you don't want us to focus on the good she's done in order to claim Wanda is good, then don't focus only on her mistakes to call her evil. She's a complex, morally grey character. Face that and stop searching for a black/white reading of her, ffs.
She enslaves a town to live out a perverted fantasy with her dead robot boyfriend and her non-existent children
Oh, the dehumanization of Vision and her kids. A classic. Also, didn't these stans love BARF? What Wanda did was pretty much that except she has such power that she could make it real. (In case it's not clear, I'm not defending her actions in Westview. But if we can understand Stark's trauma then I assume we can understand hers.)
Tony fights for his belief the same as Cap does
Fighting for your beliefs doesn't automatically make you a good person. You know who else fought for what he believed in? Thanos.
Stark spent years mistaking safety for control, and since no one in Marvel was ever allowed to call him out or correct him, he kept on doing that over and over again first by helping with the helicarriers of Project Insight, and later with Ultron and Edith. Wanda was only a few seconds in his head and she saw it so clearly.
He tries to save as many people as possible
That sounds like a line said in CW... oh, but it's Steve's, not Stark's. Funny that. But I'll say this again, controlling is not saving. Oh, and saving isn't just showing up during a battle and kicking ass. Saving is so much more than that and Stark's actions hurt a lot of people - the difference is that, unlike WandaVision, those victims were never part of the story so you don't care about them.
Cap and the others were criminals, he couldn't just release them from the Raft, they broke the law he's trying to enforce
I don't understand, where is Stark's authority to even attempt to release them anyway? He had retired from the team, he was a civilian throughout the entirety of CW. He couldn't have released them, only broken them out like Steve and Nat did. And... I got a question: was he trying to enforce the Accords when he broke them to fly to Siberia?
And if he didn't want to break them out of the Raft, he could have at least told Steve that they were there. But he said nothing and let them rot there.
When did he ever do anything close to what Wanda did in WV and MoM, she is straight up evil
And he made a fortune out of selling weapons for war, and he refused to tell the team about Ultron and that robot ended up destroying an entire country, and he signed and I'm pretty sure he also promoted the Accords even though he knew they would violate the civil rights of all the enhanced in the world, and he built Edith with full access to satellites and missiles upon request.
Sigh. This is what happens when a character has full narrative protection for so long. People start thinking he never did anything wrong.

hi, could i request some agatha x reader hurt/comfort??? if not it’s okay, it’s super chill. maybe like during their stay in the hex reader feels like agatha doesn’t love them / want anything to do with them anymore and agatha eventually finds out and reassures them that isn’t true?? ((maybe with smut at the end??? only if you’re comfortable with it tho!!!)) i love your writing btw 💕
afterglow
pairing: agatha harkness x reader
summary: ever since wanda had let her grief take over, everything had changed in westview and its people–yours and agatha's lives included.
warnings: a teeny tiny sexy time, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff, ambiguous ending xd
Tumblr media
You don’t know when it started–when Agatha barely comes home (granted it’s a fake one, but home, nonetheless.) Wherever you are, you consider home as long as you are with her, but right now, home feels like a faraway place, like it found a better person to give its shelter to.
Ever since Wanda had let her grief take over, everything had changed in Westview and its people–yours and Agatha's lives included.
Wanda, Wanda, Wanda–it’s all you can hear coming out of her mouth. You knew the older witch has an unquenchable thirst for power, and maybe you should’ve known that one day she’d prioritize terrorizing a grief-laden woman with immense power over her powerless, mortal girlfriend. That said, you would never want to be the reason she stops doing what she has been doing for decades, and this has been your setup whenever she has a mission. You would always wait for her at home, with Agatha always saying she didn't want you to get caught between the witchcraft and being the reason you get hurt. She'd always assure you that she'll be back safe and sound in no time, and she always delivered on her promises.
That's why this particular trip gave a different feel to it the minute you step foot in this fake world.
Gone were the days of waking up with Agatha cocooning you in her warmth. There was only cold and empty space beside you, even her scent missing from the barely used pillows. When she comes home at night, you don't ask her where she has been, or who she has been with—not that you feel the need to. There was only one reason you were in this dreary town.
When she’s not out messing with Wanda, she’s holed up in the basement, and you’re stuck in your room, thankful for the companion of the little rabbit. If you get lucky, you get a kiss or two as she passes by you around the house. You're not sure how long it has been since you arrived here, and for what it's worth, you've never felt so close yet so far with the love of your life. You feel a bit further away from her as days pass by, as the decades change. It hurts but you don't want to give up, even though the feeling of you're just wasting each other's time feels a little stronger every day.
Everything has changed, and you were scared you might be losing Agatha.
//
Agatha is out shopping with Wanda first thing in the morning, buying baby clothes with the redhead while she couldn't even sit through breakfast with you.
The fastest pregnancy in history should amaze you in the least, but you couldn't find it in you to feel something…anything. The more Agatha leaves your side, the more she takes every piece of you with her, leaving you hollow and empty.
That night, she slides into the covers next to you, slipping an arm around your waist. She presses a kiss to your shoulder and pulls you close. “Why are you still awake, darling?”
“Can’t sleep.”
“Tell me about your day.”
You rolled your eyes, doubting if she genuinely wants to hear about it or if it was just to make small talk for old-time's sake. “There’s nothing to tell about it, it’s just the same old. Tell me about yours.”
As soon as she opened her mouth you regretted reciprocating the question. You should have known better than to hurt yourself hearing her talk about Wanda as if she'd rather be with her than in your presence.
“Oh, I can’t wait to see her again…” Agatha mumbled as she nuzzled your neck. That remark was the last nail in the coffin, the overwhelming jealousy and hurt provoking you and prompting you to turn and move on top of her. Her eyes went wide at the sudden movement, surprised. Agatha has never seen you with that fire in your eyes.
She was about to speak but you cut her off with a kiss. “Shh. Don't speak.” You felt her smirk against your lips. “Unless it's to scream my name.” I don't want to hear her name from your mouth.
Leaning down, you kissed Agatha feverishly, like a predator savoring its prey—teeth almost clashing, tongues shoved in each other's throat, bottom lips bruised as one suckled and nipped on the other like a hungry beast.
//
The way you took charge blew Agatha's mind, not stopping until you were sure she was limp and tired. She almost passed out right after, her eyes heavy with sleep. You didn't think you had it in you until tonight, but the intrusive thought that this might be your last night with her has won.
Agatha looks so peaceful in her sleep, her lashes fluttering ever so slightly. She had a small smile on her features, and her blissed-out look was one you could never forget. This is the first time that you even had time to properly look at her ever since her obsession with Wanda grew.
You didn't realize you were crying until you tasted salt on your lips.
At that same moment, you slipped out of bed, taking one last look at her before completely disappearing from her life.
//
Making your way through Ellis street was unexpectedly easier than you thought it would be. The night, though, made it harder to see the barrier, not that it was visible to the naked eye. You continued to walk forward, finding for the telltale signs of something unusual, something magical. Soon enough, you found what you were looking for. The barrier crackled and buzzed in front of you, its appearance reminiscent of television static.
You envied Wanda, wishing you also had the same abilities so Agatha won't have to chase another person to claim their power. She doesn't even have to ask, you know you'd willingly give her yours if you had them.
You wished you had your own Westview and just live happily and in peace with Agatha.
Based on what you heard from her rambles, you knew that Wanda was able to blast Geraldine out of the barrier. You don't know if you would be able to get past it, but you have to try.
Hovering your hand over the division, you tentatively let your fingertips push through. It felt like there was nothing sort of a barrier, as if the moment you laid your hands on it, it disappeared.
Was it letting you through?
With this newfound realization, you take a deep breath, getting ready to walk through it.
You watch as the barrier slowly sucks your hand, making a shiver run through your body. Halfway through your arm, a force pulls you away from the barrier—their gentle touch contrasting their strong grip on your waist.
She didn't let you fall to the ground, making her body catch you as you stumbled backward. Looking down at the black-stained hands on your stomach, you sighed in relief knowing it wasn't Wanda.
Now you feel like a complete fool—attempting to run away from Agatha only to feel comforted that she had prevented you from doing so.
The two of you stayed silent in the middle of the empty land, Agatha still holding you close to her. You could feel her heart rapidly beating—or maybe that was yours. You don't know anymore.
“Why are you up, Agatha? You should be sleeping.”
“I can't. Not without you.”
Scoffing, you wiggled out of her embrace to face her. “That's funny.” There was clear spite in your voice, but the tears that were starting to form in the corner of your eyes and the lump forming in your throat betrayed you.
Agatha reaches for your hand, holds it to her face, and presses a kiss on your palm. “I love you.”
“You sure have a funny way of showing that. I barely see you, you speak to me as if I'm just a wall to bounce your ideas off to. Everything's changed, and we're as close as strangers now, Agatha. I truly wish that this is all a nightmare, but I'm wide awake the whole time. I don't want to hold you back so I'm leaving—”
“Hold me back? You can never do that to me, darling. I can only find solace with you by my side. I asked you to come with me here because unlike all the other trips I've had, I'm unfamiliar with this– Wanda's source of power. You keep me grounded. When you're with me I feel…that everything's going to be fine.”
The witch comes home at night when you're already asleep. She makes her way under the covers to hold you close. She doesn't sleep, she just watches you as you rest–as creepy as it may sound. Agatha finds peace in listening to the steady beat of your heart.
But she's so close to breaking in the redhead, so she lets go of her hold on you before you could wake up. She thought it would be easier when you don't see her leave. She thought it would be easier to leave when you don't stare with your lovely eyes.
Clearly, she thought wrong.
Agatha didn't mean to hurt you, let alone make you feel that she doesn't love you anymore. She wants Wanda's immense power, yes, but it doesn't mean she wants her.
She should've known that look you gave her earlier before masking it away. Her chest hurts as she thinks about the way you silently suffered, thinking about how you thought she didn't love you anymore—which the very idea is appalling to her. Agatha can never not love you.
“I didn't mean to hurt you, and I'm sorry. Don't leave me, darling, please…please don't walk away.”
Tears began to fall from her eyes, and the sight alone breaks your heart even more. Suddenly, the idea of leaving her seemed outrageous. You wiped her tears with your thumb, your own falling freely on your face.
“I don't want to lose this with you. I don't want to lose you, Y/N.”
“I love you too.”
Her bright blue eyes lit up as they flickered to yours. “You're all I want, baby,” she says, cupping your cheeks. She steps closer, bringing your lips to hers.
“And more power?” you breathed, lips still ghosting against hers. Agatha looked confused but chuckled at the sight of your playful smirk. “All I want is you, and more power.”
“Then let's go take power from the undeserving.”
Hand in hand, you walked back towards your house, the daybreak illuminating your path. You felt content, free of the heavy feeling you've been carrying, but there's a new gnawing thought that creeps up behind your head that you won’t get to bask in this afterglow for long.

what i hate the most is how hard they try to convince us that what wanda did in westview wasn't so bad because "she did the right thing in the end"
like she didn't even make amends for it somehow, she just stopped terrorizing them and apparently that's enough
according to this logic, tony redeemed himself in the first iron man movie when he shut down the weapon manifacture division of SI
what? further character development? pfft, no, why? fuck a trilogy- and a few more movies -sized character arc where he strives to become the best version of himself, learns from mistakes and tries to make up for them, he stopped, he "did the right thing in the end", what else do you want from him?
oh, yeah, that's complete bullshit.
there are more characters with, if not good, then at least tolerable redemption arc in mcu but I guess the feige's golden girl doesn't need it because she never did anything wrong, and if she did, well, she stopped, okay?
RIGHT!! They say she didn’t know but she did things that contradicted that in the show a bunch of times she didn’t apologize to anyone she hurts and runs away like come on? How do you see a compassionate person? I hate when I see people say she’s some compassionate and sweet person who always does the right thing.

Thinking about Agatha in 1693 and how the assumption of the dark magic she'd been studying was the Darkhold but how her fingers aren't even remotely a little bit black (until after she kills her mom, at which point they're darker, but not the deep black tinge of Darkhold corruption, I don't think, more like dirt than that, it's...not consistent with how it shows up on her later (or with Wanda in DSMOM)).
Thinking about how Agatha was being punished for studying above her age and station, not just for studying dark magic.
Thinking about how Agatha's "I did not break your rules. They simply bent to my power." sounds like just the sort of snark a sixteen year old girl would give to her mom without thinking of the consequences in that context (false sense of bravado, false belief that her mom wouldn't actually take this as seriously as she is).
Thinking about how Agatha said she couldn't control her power and asking her mom to teach her.
Thinking about how Agatha didn't seem to be able to control when her power started absorbing the magic from the other witches trying to kill her.
Thinking about how Agatha said she could be good.
Thinking about how Agatha's "dark magic" probably wasn't from reading the Darkhold but just her own natural power, how her mom must have seen the signs of her magic early on but refused to teach her, how Agatha probably started reading those books "above [her] age and station" to try and learn more about this power she has that none of the other witches do because no one else would help her, how Agatha couldn't control those powers even after studying and only was able to in an attempt to stop her mom from killing her, how Agatha probably did want to be good but her magic was only ever written off as dangerous, destructive, dark.
Thinking about how one of the original considerations behind Agatha being in Westview before just being someone who "shoplifts power" is that maybe she wanted to bring her mom back (x).
Thinking about how Agatha was probably just another scared little girl who had power she didn't know how to control and killed the people she loved with it.
Thinking about how that train flows from Agatha to Wanda to America, these girls who do not know how to control their powers, how Agatha and Wanda grew up seeking answers in an evil book because it might teach them something about themselves and being corrupted by it, how that corruption lead to them chasing someone who is clearly just them when they were younger, how the lie of the Darkhold is destroying your vulnerable, hurting self to try and heal your vulnerable, hurting self.
Thinking about Agatha Harkness.

There's Always Today
Summary: Set post Westview; Can we get some sort of closure somewhere PLEASE I’m begging- oh hey there it is :3
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Warning(s): The mood is pretty somber for most of it but we’ve got a happy ending, so think hurt/comfort vibes; Wanda tears (I feel like that should be one), R sometimes needs to think before they speak but hey, they only mean well- (they just fumble the tactfulness bag a bit), break up/end of relationship but like amicable? (Bud it's a complex situation to think through), Also Vision being a toaster (but not a bad toaster per say)
Notes: So like, after Wandavision, I kept thinking about the fact that Vision is now essentially alive again with all of his memories and how he kinda just…took off? Yeah, I was bouncing ideas based off of that fact and out came this. Also was lowkey listening to Die for You by The Weekend while writing (don't know that is has any bearing on the story but you know...vibes). Hope you enjoy it!
Word Count: Somethin' like 3.2k
*squints* I give NO ONE permission to repost or translate my work. Make your own shit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You kept to the slightly worn path as you pulled up to the isolated residence and there she was, sitting on the step of her cabin.
She’d waited long enough.
As you got off your Davidson and cut the engine, Wanda got up to greet you with a quick hug that you gladly returned. “Thank you for coming, Y/n. For answering I mean,”
You laughed through your nose, “I’ve only been looking for you for the better part of a month.”
She pulled away to look you in the face, a sad smile made its way onto her own as she tried to return the same energy. “Well I hope you’re not too tired of the routine.”
You squeezed her shoulder under your palm.
"Never."
Wanda brought you inside as she put the kettle on. She took the time to make her request for your help more clear.
You’d kind of just been…Wandering the world as of now. With the Avengers coughing up dust with vacancies and having all but missed a good five years of your life, you yearned to regain connection.
There weren’t many things tying you to one place and you took full advantage of that. It was also a bit of a perk that people didn't really contact you for one reason or another, your schedule clear more often than not.
Missing five years of your life had done a lot to your psyche and lasting effects always trickled down, but you just wanted to make the sacrifice worth it.
Even though Yelena was a grown woman and could look after herself, you kept an ear out and a private phone line for her. It’s the least you could do to help a friend rest easy.
When Wanda disappeared after the smaller service you'd gotten together for Natasha, you'd gone to look for her. With both of you discombobulated and grieving the losses thrown at you in what felt like minutes, you figured it'd be best to stick together to have someone to lean on. You wound up going in circles before finally hearing about Wanda being somewhere in New Jersey. Maybe too late.
You were the best tracker Wanda knew. It was your specialty on the team; your superhuman sense of smell and hearing proved to be an invaluable asset on many a mission especially when paired with the efficient skill and tutelage of your late mentor. That being said, it was like something was actively keeping you away from Wanda, something she had no idea about. The block keeping you away simply ensured that you persisted that much more, and this time? There was finally a give to the wall coated in byzantium color.
Wanda told you all about what happened in Westview, her life with “Westview Vision”, her kids, the hex, Agatha Harkness, seeing “Real Vision” again, and the confusing mess of it all over a borderline addictive hibiscus blend.
“And he just..took off?”
“I know that he has his memories back. It’s Vis, my Vision, it’s just—I don’t know why-” Wanda heaved a sigh as her palms pressed firmly against her face. The past week had done nothing but let her stress from the whole ordeal grow and fester while on her own.
Why did he just leave? Without so much as a word. Wanda just finished grieving Vision and accepting that he was gone, only to find out that the revived version of him had somehow regained his memories sometime after he nearly killed her. It was like someone was playing a cruel joke on her over and over. Yes, she wanted to just move on with her life, but the fact remains that if her Vision is alive now, they can just go and live their lives together like they wanted somewhere else. For real this time.
Knowing that you’d been looking for her was the good news that she needed to hear.
So why wasn't he here?
Why did she have to wind up alone again?
You rested your hand over Wanda’s from across the dining room table with a warm smile on your face. “We’ll find ‘em, then you can ask Vision yourself," You stood and made your way back to the door before tossing your head over your shoulder. "Then I can kick his bolts in if you want.”
You wasted no time and it was still relatively early in the day when the two of you set out to find Vision. This case was a bit tougher to get a read on.
One: Vision didn’t own too many things to use as a fresh reference, and Two: He’d been in a sterilized building for the past five years, so you’d doubt he’d smell like much of anything now.
Every moment mattered at this point.
You settled on starting at places you know that he’s been before branching outward, Wanda narrowed down the list to start with the cities they’d visited together while on the run some time ago.
He’d never been anywhere else.
As you both traveled through Europe, You made it a point to keep Wanda’s mind off of the negative tilt of what ifs that seemed to ice out her optimism frequently.
The mention of Vision seemed to kill whatever positive buzz you could pull out of her. It wasn't much of a learning curve to it; Copenhagen was an especially quiet venture.
-----
You and Wanda slipped into a quiet cafe out of the light shower of rain. Both of you seated in a table near the back, you quickly tucked into a croquette platter without hesitation. Being set on high alert as a default actually leaves an impression on your stomach. Debatable whether it’s good or bad.
Wanda followed your lead much more slowly; she could probably actually taste the food.
There were hardly any leads as of now, and Vision's scent was just about gone from the navy jumper Wanda gave you for reference.
A grim smile rose on her face as she watched you, "I'm sorry for dragging you through all of this, Y/n."
You raised a brow as you proceeded to toss three cherry tomatoes in the air before catching each one, your arms out in a presenting fashion. "What're you sayin' sorry for? This is quite literally my whole life, Wands."
Wanda giggled a bit as she conceded with a small round of applause, "Yes, this is precisely what they paid you to be an Avenger for."
You narrowed your eyes playfully as you chewed. "I didn't get paid at all," You tossed a crumpled napkin at Wanda. "And neither did you, slick!"
She went into a full laugh as she threw her straw paper at you. Your eyes filled with mirth at the sound you'd come to be bent on bringing out of her.
Settling down and swallowing the contents in your mouth, you have your fist cover your mouth and stave off a belch. “Well we can cross Antwerp off the list. What do we have left? Paris and,”
“Edinburgh.”
You hum, “Right. Well we might have to double back here to catch the ferry that goes out to Scotland. France has gotten real finicky about rides the past few years and we got a lotta ground to cover,”
Wanda’s eyes were upward as she thought things over. “We can skip France altogether.” Her tone was resolute, certain. “Vis didn’t care to go to Paris anyways, It’s probably pointless to go.”
You took a quick drink from your beer, “Odd. Why?”
You kick yourself. The dimming of her eyes should’ve been enough.
Wanda keeps her eyes up, but her eyes aren’t wet as she gives a wry chuckle. “Vis said it was too typical for us. In the City of Love, going to the eiffel tower for an evening, fugitives or not. And typical as it sounded, I kind of wanted that y’know?”
You nodded along, “Yeah I get it, I mean sure everyone talks about it, but it’s a classic spot,”
Wanda fiddled with her fingers a bit as her eyes narrowed into as squint, still trained on the ceiling like the answers were written there. “To have a moment at a classic spot, if a bit cheesy, just to pretend everything was normal. That we were normal. We still went, but he was quick to add Belgium to the list afterward.”
Finishing up your food, you put your empty plate off to the side. “Well, I’ll make you a deal. We can go to Paris again after this, and we can do whatever the hell ya want, alright?”
And there they were again. Those reassurances you had no problem giving to Wanda, just sprinkled in.
You didn’t question a lot of things and preferred to take them in stride. It would cause problems from time to time, but it was something Wanda had grown to be very appreciative of. Even when she first met you; the times she needed her space were readily given and you never begrudged her when she went to bend your ear.
Moments like these remind her why she sought you out first, and why you were the first to show up.
As flighty as you could be, you were reliable.
You came back after tossing both of your trash out. Settling back in your seat, you both discussed the plan to get to Scotland.
-----
You kept an eye out for lurkers and people that might stare a bit too long as you walked out onto the deck of the boat. Neither of you were the general public’s favorite people, and the Westview incident was making its rounds outside of the states.
Wanda came out of the restroom to stand next to you. Your crossed arms rested on the rail as you leaned forward observing the clear scenery until you turned to face her.
You lightly bump Wanda’s shoulder, “I thought we left the bags in the cabin,”
Her eyebrows furrow before she catches on, letting out a tired laugh. Her hand ran over her face to try and wake herself up more. “Are they that visible?”
“No no, I just never really heard you settle down last night. Figured you didn’t sleep much.”
“You’d be right then,”
You turned to look at all the cloud cover, “Senses haven’t failed me yet.”
Both of you looked up when you heard the announcement that they were coming into port.
Wanda took a deep breath, “Let’s hope.”
She made her way off of the ferry in rushed steps with you behind her. You quickly take the lead going past a train station as you catch the remnants of a metallic pine-y scent, like offset Christmas. It was close enough to what you remember of Vision. That and it was only March.
You could see Wand’s posture stiffen a bit as you reached an apartment building.
Recognition.
You turn to the redhead, “Are we headin’ in?” This was ultimately her search and venture. Less courteous parts of you had lost fondness for the synthezoid when he turned you in back at that german airport as you let certain parties escape imprisonment way back when. That, and you and Vision didn’t mesh well to begin with. Whatever the outcome was when Wanda and Vision met again, you would simply follow her choice.
Wanda wordlessly pushed the door open as you stepped aside to let her go in first. Going up a few floors Wanda eventually stopped in front of a cherrywood door, the “416” all but scratched and faded on the plate.
You took Wanda’s hand in yours to offer some form of comfort, and she squeezed it slightly in appreciation.
Using her powers to unlock and open the door, you both made your way inside. The scent was more concentrated here.
Wanda seemed to go off into her own world, her hand passing over the back of the small sofa as she moved past it. It was only slightly more furnished than she remembered and new light fixtures made the space appear brighter than she’d ever seen it.
“I see you’ve let yourself in, well that’s fine.”
That voice
Spinning on her heel, Wanda turned to find Vision, granted in his human form, wearing a cream sweater and slacks.
His eyes flitted to you briefly, “You’ve brought the Bloodhound. A peculiar acquaintance, but I suppose it would only be appropriate.”
You pointedly ignored him as you stayed by the door. You looked to Wanda, “I’ll be just outside if you need me.”
Wanda looked at you, uneasy. “Oh- alright then.” It was odd for you to not be there with her now that it’d become a constant for her the past couple of weeks. As she watched you softly click the door shut, she debated whether or not she should call you back in to stay so her nerves would fully settle. She took a deep breath as she rooted herself to the floor, listening as your footsteps eventually began to peter out.
---
Wanda rooted herself to the floor as her gaze shifted from the door to Vision who stood a ways away, apparently more content with the silence than Wanda herself.
It was a good minute before Vision moved fully into the main room. Wanda felt lost. Angry? She felt that her expectations had been met and missed at the same time and she just wanted to move past the wall that seemed to divide them.
Before she could say anything however, Vision brought a hand up to stop her.
"I cannot go back with you Wanda. I will not, rather."
Of course he knew why she was here.
Her tongue was almost trapped in her mouth, "What? Why not? -" The part of her that held out hope began to shrivel up as she felt her pulse rise. In a way this wasn't surprising, but the hurt she felt from the statement was still very real.
Vision's words were not harsh, but they were cutting, "We cannot- I cannot simply go back to the way that things were, Wanda." He then deactivated his human cover as she got a good look at his new glacier form. Wanda struggled to keep looking at him and took a hard swallow, opting to look to the floor and wishing that you were in the room to give her your strength as she glanced at the door once again.
Her hands stayed clenched at her sides as her eyes began to water. "What I did to you, in Westview and to in lieu of that-"
“It has nothing to do with what you’ve done, Wanda. I do not think less of you, nor do I think ill of you. and although I understand it must be difficult to hear, I would like for you to hear my words and believe them.
Vision's eyes remained steady on Wanda. "I simply do not want this. I've taken time to reaffirm myself and think. I've come to the conclusion that I desire none of the life I remember living, no matter how vivid it was. It is not a beauty that I can recognize for myself anymore. As I am, my past feels far off and what I felt for you feels foreign, Wanda. It is something that I can acknowledge, but never fully grasp again.
"We have been torn apart and stitched back together and we have become vastly different people for it. I am simply not the same person...I am not who you've been looking for, Wanda.”
Vision’s words were a startling mix of heartfelt thought and clinical logic that Wanda found it hard to see past, fighting the overwhelming urge to recede into herself.
But she listened to him.
Her tears had yet to stop, but they were slowing down as she caught a glimpse of you outside the window, kicking a non-existent can as you had yet to be still.
Vision came closer and lightly placed his hand on Wanda's shoulder as he looked out of the same window from behind her.
“Every day I wake I find that I know frighteningly little about life, but what I’ve come to understand is that you create your memories in the present because it is the only thing that is promised. I can only hope to make the most of it as it comes, and I hope for you to do the same, Wanda.”
Vision pressed a lingering kiss to her forehead.
Wanda turned to face him and, for the last time, she raised her hand to Vision’s head over the blue chip gleaming back at her that took the place of the yellow she knew. She bit her lip as a smaller wave of new tears ran from her eyes.
“I-I can feel you.”
Vision covered her hand with his own in a soft grip.
“I’m glad.”
Wanda wasn't left with nothing as she had previously believed. And it was time that she understood that.
She looked back out the window.
---
You looked up from the steps to the building entrance as Wanda came out of it. Her face was a bit puffy and eyes red, but she was calm.
“I would ask how it went, but uh-”
“Better than I thought.” She took a second before she nodded to confirm as the conversation replayed in her head again.
“Oh! Well that’s good then,” You felt her hand slip into your own and you were more than a little confused. Where’s Vision then?
“Let’s get home, I’ll fill you in on the way.” You watched her create a portal back to the bed and breakfast to grab your things.
“Oookay?”
-----
It had been a little over a year since then. Wanda took that time to heal and process with all that happened seemingly one after another. It was a much needed calm as she used her powers less and less and just focused on other things to occupy her time.
She’d taken up farming and even got some area cleared to start growing other plants on the terrain surrounding her home. Certain topics were discolored, but they were less and less sensitive for her to think about.
It was an effort for a fresh start.
You hadn’t been traveling as much so you could be around for Wanda should she need you, but still enough so that you could stretch your legs. She wanted to wait a bit longer before she began to join you on your trips and venture freely.
You’d just come back from Bucharest, an extra set of hands to get a hold of a particularly slippery widow as a rare favor to Yelena.
As you pulled up to the remodeled cabin and got out of your new truck, you saw the familiar figure on the steps before she got up to meet you.
Hands full, you let her take one of the bags out of your grip.
“Nice trip?”
You shrug, “Eh, it was eventful. Yelena says hey by the way. It’ll probably be a bit before she can come by, but I was able to get you somethin’ while I was away,” You held the door open for her with your foot as you both made your way to the kitchen. “I got my contact to hook me up with some sugar maple seedling-things, since you mentioned wanting to grow ‘em last time. Jin even threw in a Gorosoe for a loyalty benefit.”
As you unpacked your to-go bags, Wanda simply listened to you ramble on about spiles and looking out back to find a spot for the trees to grow.
A smile bloomed on her face as she leaned forward to close the distance between you from across the table, and you gladly sunk into the kiss. Eventually pulling away, you were in a bit of a daze before you broke out into a grin. It'd been about a week since you'd last seen her.
“Thank you for being here.”
“As long as you’ll have me.”
As you got everything squared away and began helping Wanda prep dinner, her eyes drifted to a small frame that held two used ticket stubs to Paris sitting on the mantle in the main room.
The present is the only thing that’s promised.

Summary: You and Wanda are undercover out of the country not in good speaking terms but you make her start talking
Warnings: Language, Marijuana use, talks about trauma, wlw sex, oral (receiving), super soldier reader
Word Count: 4,034
(SO I didn’t know Sokovia wasn’t a real place😂😂 So I used Romaian and Russian words when Wanda and reader is talking)

The rain was coming down hard in Japan. It was fall, it was prettier here than in Brooklyn. The Japanese scenery made fall feel so elegant. Yet, in your undercover apartment, Wanda and you lived in an environment that wasn't too friendly. After Wanda held or should I say played the game with Westview, the entire country wanted her head on a platter. All the government officials held her accountable. She lived in the mountains for a bit until S.H.E.I.L.D raided her house to take her back to the states. You were a mercenary working odd jobs. Sometimes you work for the good guys, most of the time you worked for the bad. Your ‘origin’ story was a dark mess and you never spoke about it. You just hid it under the rug, telling people you were born as a super soldier. No one believed you, however, though no one wanted to ask for the reason they didn't want to get hurt or killed. Super soldiers weren't born. They are made. How you were made was a sad story that inflicts you trauma that still haunts you to this day. You can never change what happened but you can make the best of it. That's how you got on to Director Fury's radar. You were taken in by S.H.E.I.L.D after you were hired by Zemo to do some assassinations. The director gave you two options. Either help go undercover with Wanda Maximoff or they hand you over to the American government where they hide you in a CIA wet cell. You chose the easiest option.
You sat on the windowsill leaving a crack of the window open. You looked from the corner of your eye seeing Wanda laying in her bed reading a novel she recently bought over a cup of tea. You didn't know why Wanda hated you so much. It could have been the fact that she thought she was better than you because she was the all ‘Mighty Avenger’ and could never work to kill for a living, or just hated the fact you reminded her a lot of her past too. A little too much. You both were Sokoivan. Her accent was washed away while yours was layered on thick. Though sometimes you catch yourself mixing your Sokoivan with Russian at some points. You mastered both.
"You know how much I hate you smoking in my room Y/n? What if a neighbour calls in? You do realize it will blow our cover." Her eyebrow raised tilting her head at you. Giving you a concerned look. "Wanda. You understand we're the only tenants in the goddamn building right? Besides, if my room had a window then you wouldn't see me as you wanted." You used to smoke joints often but on every mission, you thought you stored them in a safe place on your person, until a fight happened and you had squished joints. So you thought the easiest and cheapest option was to get a weed pen. No odour, no mess. Easy and relaxing after a tough mission. To make you forget what you did that day.
"Go smoke in the living room. There's a window that opens there. It's like you come in here just to bother me." She placed a bookmark on her page, prompting it on her nightstand. Her arms crossed, she shifted her body around her bed making her oversized white longsleeved shirt fall off her shoulder. "Maybe that's it Nebun. Maybe I just want to bug you. It's hard to talk to four walls all day long when you have another person sleeping across the hallway." You inhaled your pen once more safely sliding it into your pyjama pants.
"God I hate when you call me that! Why can't you get over using our language when we have no home country anymore?" Wanda lifted her sheets over her body stepping out of her bed. You saw her shiver running to face you. She was only wearing her white shirt. All you hoped was she was wearing underwear at least. "It's funny you think your country is gone when we are the country of Sokoiva! A country isn't a place without its people! Why can't you get over you can't hide who you are!" You stood tall in front of her even though you were two inches shorter than her. The superhero serum gave the power to kill Captain America, not give your legs more length. You two were going to play the game again. Who can put enough holes in the walls today? You quickly looked down noticing Wanda's red mist started to appear.
"I don't need you to tell me. Who. I am." Her hand whipped over your head ready to throw you into the hallway. You thanked God for your quick flexes hooked onto Wanda’s wrist crashing into the wall behind her breaking the drywall.
"Not today sweetheart. You can't hide from your past just as much as I can. Believe me, I've fucking tried! You always have someone in your past who comes back just to remind you of all the pain you caused! All the pain they caused to you! So yeah, I'm still pretty fucking proud to be from Sokovia before it became a lake! You should be too! You saved everyone from Ultron while I was graduating from the fucking Red Room! I couldn't save my people! You did! Now you just want to forget they exist!! If you do that Wanda you’re no better than those American officials who want you dead. All of us dead!!" You loosened your grip feeling Wanda's wrist throbbing. You were already leaving a bruise on her fingers. You know you went too far letting your strength get the better of you.
"Y/n...I'm sorry you felt that way but you don’t know what I went through. You didn't have to hide movies and music behind picture frames! You didn't have to hide underneath a bed for 2 days with your only brother thinking a bomb might go off! You didn't have to go to orphanages and then volunteer to get out of poverty!" Her other hand was free getting ready to hit you in your stomach until you caught it again but this time you lightly threw it over her head pinning both against the wall.
"Oh, you had luxury huh? That must've been a treat for you! You had a choice in the matter to be created, how touching! I was in Sokoiva until I was ten years old. Let me paint you a picture so you don't have to read my mind, shall we? My father was a scientist and my mother was Russian, we never met until I was 15. I lived mostly with my father until he was called to do a top secret mission for the Russian government. So instead I lived with my grandmother outside of Novi Grad until she unfortunately died. I was shipped off to my mother only to find out she was one of the most elite and one of the first Black Widows in Russia! She and five others helped Dreykov create the Black Widow program. Which might I add is was where I was shipped off to! I completed the program top of my class to graduate with Natasha’s sister Yelena and was heading into my first ever mission until my father pulled me out last minute." You had to catch your breath. You felt tears form in your eyes trying to hold your composer.
"You done yet? This position is getting a little uncomfortable." Wanda huffed showing no emotion.
"Nope, not yet you pain in the ass! We're getting to the best part." You let go of her hands seeing a deep purple ring around Wanda's wrists. Your hand rested on her chest guiding her to the foot of her bed making her sit down.
"My father was a good man. A very good man. Even though they had him working with the Russian HYDRA headquarters. They wanted a serum to kill the real super soldiers. Someone they couldn't beat. My father did just that. One vile. One mega super soldier serum. His moral conscience got the best of him. He destroyed all of his work except for the vile. We were on the run, we almost lost them until a team of Widows came on our doorstep. He refused to give it up. So 16 your old me had to hide as my mother killed her husband. My father. I had no choice but to take the serum. I killed all of the Widows. All the girls I grew up with in that fucking room! All my mother did was cower running away from her fate! So yes Wanda! There's my fucking story. If you think yours is bad just remember about others around you! Enjoy your pity party. While I enjoy the sweet memories I had with my father in Sokoiva." A tear fell running down your cheek, you quickly wiped it away feeling so angry over Wanda. You turned walking out of her bedroom to yours.
You heard Wanda try to speak your name but she choked. She faintly whispered out all that she could muster up. She was too stunned.
Wanda knew it was true, that's why she stayed silent. You listened to her feet touch the laminate floor making little ticking noises, becoming louder. Your lights weren’t on. You sat in the dark on the floor next to your bed. You weren’t crying or at least you didn’t think you were. When you heard Wanda’s feet stop you peered over to the door opened, gleaming in the orange light from the hallway. Your eyes darted over not realizing you were crying. The tears were too scared to fall so they built up waiting for the right moment.
“Y/n? Ce faci pe podea?” Wanda turned on the light. Her footsteps increased, your back was against your bed knowing the mattress moved. She sat on the edge of the bed staring down at you.
“Huh? And I thought you forgot your first language.” You sniffled, pulling the bottom of your tank top up to wipe away your tears. “You’ve come to tell me off for hurting you again right?” You looked up at the ceiling trying not to form any tears.
“No dragă. I didn’t come to do that.” She knelt down, sitting down beside you. “I came to see if you were okay, I think I went below the belt.” She huffed twiddling her fingers together staring at her hands.
“Yeah, you think.” A laugh crept on your lips. She knew you were being sarcastic.
“I also think you were a little tough me too Y/n.” Wanda moved her hair behind her ear cocking her head.
“I’ll apologize for leaving you bruises but not for what I said. I meant it, Wanda. You think you can become an Avenger and just leave all of your problems behind. Not all of us had that privilege.” You gritted your teeth.
Wanda got up pacing around the floor in front of you. “You thought I wanted to become an Avenger!? It was the only way to leave Sokoiva! While you were asleep in your cradle my building was bombed! Do you have cute little memories of your father? while I saw my parents die!! You cannot talk about hurt here when you were shipped off to Russia before you were in a motherfucking training bra!! So you’re going to apologize for all of it! Before I blow up this entire fucking block!” Her eyes were enraged in red. She lifted herself into the air with the flick of her wrist.
“Wanda, enough! We both had/have shitty lives but I don’t think destroying this entire block will change things! You have to realize that everyone struggles with their past, but we all just can’t magically make your family come back! If it was that easy do you think I’d be doing what I have been doing all these years? No.” You stood up from your spot looking up at the red head floating in front of you. “Yes-...I am sorry for what I said to you. And I’m sorry I hurt your wrists, I didn’t mean to be so forceful. You just get me so mad, sitting up there on your high horse. Thinking you are better than everyone else just because everyone is scared of you. Here’s the kicker sweetheart, I’m not! Kill me if you want, I don’t give a shit anymore. Go ahead, break another bone. It’s just another day in here. We break a wall or two. You silently cry in your room for an hour before you go to sleep, I try to push in the bone you dislocate in the bathroom. Then we all do it again tomorrow night.” You trotted over to Wanda clasping her torso and pulling her down so her feet touched the floor.
She was silent again. You left her speechless. Her tears weren’t angry anymore. They were sad tears. You could tell; the way her lip quivered trying to close her lips, her hands shook.
“Y/n…I didn’t know you can hear me cry at night..” Her eyes darted down leaving tear stains across her cheeks. Her red mist lightened, disappearing the crimson hue in her eyes restoring to her deep emerald colour.
Your hand lifted Wanda’s jaw raising her eyes to meet yours. “Yes detka, I’ve always known. I know why you keep reading that same damn book on your nightstand. It’s Vision’s book. He wrote little notes on each paragraph.” Wanda leaned into your hand on her jaw. Her body press against yours. Both of your feet touched together.
“How do you know so much about me, when I know nothing about you? That’s not fair Y/n.” Her hand reached up latching onto yours pulling it away from our face. Your fingers intertwined with hers noticing how clamy she was. The only thing you had in common with her in size was her hands. Your biceps were the size of her thighs, but your hands were still girly.
“Honestly Wanda, how could you know who I am. When I don’t know myself. I can remember who I was before the Red Room. Everything else is a blur. The only thing I remember of who I am is what happens in this apartment..” You sighed still having your one hand on Wanda’s hip. Your thumb stroked her softly, still locked in on her eyes.
“That’s all you remember? Everything on these walls? Not very much to look at.” Wanda let go of your hand running her hand up to your shoulder.
“No beautiful. I remember everything you do around these walls. The way you make your coffee, the way you always make your favourite meal when you’re depressed, that time you almost fell asleep in the tub!…” You both laughed, non-coincidentally touching both of your foreheads together.
“Oh shut up, that was one time! Once! You always have to bring it up huh?” Her nose crinkled allowing a smile to shine through.
“I gotta make sure you don’t forget.” You smirked only allowing one part of your lip to rise. Wanda extended her hand further up your head, running her fingers through your hair. She went on her tippy-toes meeting your gaze perfectly.
“How about we make some good memories for the both of us tonight?” Her hand dropped grazing your ear. “We forget about our little fight and make a new night routine.” Her knee rose between you, rubbing your crotch. She twinkled shoving you down onto your bed.
“That sounds pretty damn good to me Wanda.” Both of your hands were on her hips as she straddled yours. Her hands went underneath your tank top pulling it up over your head.
“Vrei să te ating, dragă?” Her teeth tugged roughly on her bottom lip, ripping off her white shirt. She was straddling you only wearing black panties, nothing underneath. Her boobs swayed over you letting her lips smash into yours. Her lips were so soft on yours, allowing yours to open pushing her tongue in. She touched yours motioning you to play along. Yours got in with no ease.
"Mereu..." Your lips let go whispering as you spoke between her lips. Your fingertips grazed either side of her cheeks pulling her to your kiss again. Everything about her you loved, even when she went crazy. Everything about Wanda was soft and gentle, you just never got to see that for the fact you two were cooped up together for so long. You both were about to break this hatred sometimes right? You thought to yourself. Maybe tonight was the night it broke.
Your hands still had a firm grasp on Wanda's face, she had other plans with hers. Her tiny hands slid between you both yanking your pyjama pants down with your panties with it. Her hands twitched going into your lips, you didn't know how aroused you were until she first touched you. You bucked your thighs against her. It was the first time in a long time you've been touched this way.
"Ah!.." Wanda's finger circled your clit gradually. Your body tensed up underneath her. She grinned pecking your cheek, leaving traces of her breath.
“Don’t cum yet, please don’t cum detka.” Her whisper gave goosebumps all over you. Her just saying not to cum made your opening tighten worse. Wanda stopped playing with your clit, moving further down dipping her middle finger into your opening. Your breath hitched looking down at her handy-work.
“Please, please, please Y/n. Don’t cum now. Not now.” Her hand started to thrust rapidly, adding her ring finger in your pussy. You coated her fingers making it hard for her to stay in. Her cheek pressed against yours. You couldn’t stop yourself from all the sounds you were making, your moans were becoming loud as Wanda kept increasing her speed. Your entire body reacted, shifting your hips to match her hand motions. You rode her fingers, bringing your walls grip around her.
“Fuck! W-Wanda, oh god!” Your climax was going to hit you like a ton of bricks. You came to that realization as Wanda stopped pumping her fingers in you, letting yourself ride it out. She slipped out shoving her glazed fingers in her mouth. You couldn’t believe it. Wanda won’t let you cum. You laid on your bed watching your thighs twitch hitting Wanda’s hips as she was between them. She stood up to her knees, sucking your juices off her hand.
“You taste so good Y/n..” Your legs would not stop shaking, you could not get over Wanda not letting you finish. You kept tripping over your tongue, trying to pipe up. Wanda's smile grew bigger. You knew she read your mind.
"You wanna cum so bad huh? Tell me you want to cum with your words." Her hands rode up your stomach underneath your grey tank top ripping it up the middle. Your boobs bulged out moving in motion. Her hands traced further up cupping both of your breasts in either hand. Her lanky fingers froze your skin to the touch, digging her nails into your chest in a circular movement.
"I want to cum..p-please let me cum!" Any faint touch made your sensitivity grow stronger. You needed the release desperately.
Wanda laughed under her breath, biting the side of her lip. Her hands let go of your chest; shuffling her body down, her knees touched your ankles.
"Good girl. I'll make you the best memory you'll never forget." She tilted her head back brushing her hair back behind her shoulders. Her head bent down between your thighs ripping them apart leaving your slit opening to her. Your entire being was being overstimulated, every little sense that passed through your body made your hairs stand up straight. Everything became too real when Wanda's tongue pressed against your clit dragging it down. Your body lost all control, your hands grasped the bedsheets underneath you.
You stared down watching Wanda's head move between your legs. Her eyes met yours tilted her head slightly playing her hand on your stomach, softly stroking your skin.
"Oh you love this, don't you?" She hummed between your folds slipping her tongue faintly into your core. She twitched her tongue inside you hitting every little nerve you have, your little moans became deafening using your other hand to cover your mouth. The pleasure was overcoming your whole body. Your breathing hitched feeling the same thing you felt early, you were cumming. Wanda felt it too leaving your folds working on giving your clit some much-needed attention.
"Yes!..oh my god..." Your hand grasping your bedsheets intertwined with your fingers ripping a few threads creating a little tear. Your back arched lifting yourself off the mattress.
"Come on detka, cum for me. Te rog, te iubesc." Wanda's hands laid firmly on the tops of your thighs clenching roughly. Wanda's voice made your climax arose, crashing into you.
You let go of your mouth; allowing your moans to turn into a loud scream. You extended your hand down resting it on Wanda's head. Your fingers brushed through her fiery orange strands. "Fuck! Wanda!" Your orgasm has never hit you this hard before, never have you ever come this big. Though, you remember you're never the one on the bed.
"Good girl, Y/n. Arăți atât de frumos." Her head looked up moving up from your thighs hovering over you. Her mouth and chin were sparkling with your juices all over her.
"Si tu esti frumoasa iubirea mea." You reached above your head brushing your thumb against her cheekbone. Wanda bent down pressing her wet lips onto yours. Her warmth bled into you. The warm tingly feeling spread throughout you and her. Your hands ran along her back making her cold skin warm up. You both were connected as one.
The rain pounded the roof of your apartment, only hearing the storm and you two's breathe in between kisses. You sat up straight holding Wanda on your lap, you two were so involved in each other that you didn't realize how late it was into the night. Nor did you care. Wanda let go of your lips sighing a heavy breath.
"Maybe I should try your weed pen." She giggled whipping your hair away from your sweaty forehead.
"Well if you can find my pants I'll let you." You cracked your neck looking over at your clock that sat solemnly on your nightstand. "Holy shit Wand, it's 3 am." Once you realized what the time was your body gazed out, continuously yawning.
"Your right Y/n. Maybe it is time to go to bed." Her warmth left you as she got off your bed stretching her legs. She took two steps behind down, picking up your fleece pyjama pants. Tossing them on the foot of your bed. She through back on her white long-sleeved shirt adjusting the hem on her shoulders tip toeing to the doorframe.
"What are you doing Wanda? This bed is big enough for both of us. Come sleep with me. Please?" You stood onto your feet, pulling the comforter down.
"I wish I can detka, but I think I left on a candle in my room. I'll sleep with you tomorrow night. I promise. We still have to create more memories." She winked as you watched her ass sway to her room.
"Alright beautiful, goodnight." You grabbed your pants rising them to your hips. Your hand slipped into your pocket looking for your weed pen, finding the pocket you left it empty. You scanned the floor looking for it coming to a realization.
"Hey! Give that back thief!" You laughed yelling throughout your apartment.
"I don't know what you're talking about Y/n." You heard Wanda's voice as she choked trying not to cough. Seeing faint smoke near the foot of her bed.
"Uh huh bullshit!" You laughed running back into her room.

I want to put even more thoughts down in writing about this movie but also I don't even want to relive it enough to do that.
Saddest thing for my nostalgic MCU heart to bear was the terrible treatment of Wanda. Like fine, tell me she didn't learn her lesson when her power got out of control and she tried to fix her past mistakes or achieve happiness recklessly. Tell me she didn't learn that lesson in WestView, and she's willing to kill to fill the grief-hole inside of her.
Tell me that. I might believe it. But you have to actually build up to it.
I have spent four movies and a beautiful television show watching this character develop as:
girl who's willing to let the ends justify the means until she learns that her own emotional baggage ("we wanted to change the world/" dealing with wanting revenge for her parents' deaths) comes at too high a price--AND THAT PRICE IS HURTING AND KILLING PEOPLE. She learns she is not okay with that, so she becomes
girl who tries to use her power to help, as an Avenger, but ultimately hurts people anyway...and learns that even with the potential danger of her power, she can't CONTROL their emotions about her and can only control her own actions and fears. But once that lesson is learned she becomes
girl who IS willing to sacrifice her own happiness for others (killing the love of her life) only to find that her ultimate sacrifice is meaningless, because she's still not in control. Which is hard, and for a normal person it might just have meant depression, but she happens to have unfathomable power, so she becomes
girl who loses control of her emotions and powers to fill her own grief-hole again, but on a larger scale (WestView) but then, once she realizes who she is and what she's done, that she's HURT PEOPLE AGAIN, she radically sacrifices her own emotional comfort and sacrifices the people she loves, again, turning back to an effort to control her newfound powers.
FROM THERE, we should have got a movie that wrapped that up. We should have seen Wanda moving on from her grief or getting to find happiness in new love or new healthy family. But we didnt get that. We got angry, so-done, unhinged Wanda who is basically corrupted by evil forces, (like she was in Age of Ultron) willing to do anything to get what she needs to feel better (like she began to be in WandaVision.)
So okay, if Sam Raimi wants me to believe that Wanda is willing to kill to get her kids back, I can believe it. Losing herself in grief and consequently losing control of her powers, even with the best of intentions, is kind of her whole thing. Revenge is even something she keeps coming back to, as a character. So if Sam Raimi wants me to believe that Wanda is a mass murderer on the level of a horror villain, all so she can have happiness, I COULD come around to believing him.
But you know what? You DON'T get me to believe that by writing Vision out. You DON'T get me to believe that by having Wanda, who was once a powerful girl with powers that were exploited by darker forces, be totally willing to cruelly suck the life out of a powerful girl with powers. You DON'T get me to believe that by having the same woman who, in every other film and show, falls apart when she realizes she's accidentally hurt people, ALSO spend a whole movie cutting superheroes in half, collapsing their skulls, snapping their necks, and callously walking over the bodies of crowds of people she's murdered. (And she even shows off her carelessness with quippy one-liners and snark while she's doing it.) You DON'T get me to believe that when, the last time I saw her, she was allowing her sons and husband to disappear out of existence for the sake of a small town's sanity. Not even to save their lives--just to give them a chance at happiness. Near-strangers. The last time I saw her, she was exchanging her sons, husband, and personal happiness so that near-strangers could have their normal lives back.
At the end of her character development before this movie, Wanda was a severely traumatized, grieving hero. but she was still a HERO. She was still actively trying to correct the ways she hurt others, and she was still sacrificing "being with my boys" to do that.
If you wanted me to forget that, Sam Raimi, and cheer while your annoying new starchild character beats up and ultimately leads to the arbitrary death of the character I've been following for 7+ years, then you should've done a better job.

Stephen, my time is up. If Beauty feels threatened by me, there's no reason for her to come for you like that when I can just leave. I knew it was wrong on my part to stay even when you convinced me. Gods, what? "Snap my fingers and have him all to myself"? What does she think I am, a manipulative and cruel mutant? I've never wished to be caught in the crossfire. You know what, I'm alright with being dehumanised as long as you two get back on good terms. I won't be around any longer. Thank you for giving me a chance to belong and help others, and believing in me.
Please don't go. Beauty not trusting me has nothing to do with you. It hurts me as well when she says...I would be that easy to steal. You being here is a way to keep you safe. If you were all alone, the Hydra, the Sword, or Damage Control could decide to attack you. Then...more people would die...and it would be my fault. This is all my mistake...these walls should have welcomed you long ago. I was naive to think you would be alright in your own. I didn't know the things they were doing to you and to Vision. I should have been there for you, specially in Westview. All this responsibility is greater and more important than my personal relationships.

So I am pretty sure I am gonna get speared for this, but I wanted to rant about something, concerning Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I hope you already saw the movie, otherwise spoilers.
First of all, I wanna make one thing very, very clear: I love this movie and it is an amazing ride from start to finish. My problem is actually not with the movie. My problem is with how some fans reacted, regarding Wanda. Basically I find it really, really disturbing how some people are rooting for her and think she deserves to be with her children. I find that concerning, because of her actions in the movie.
I get Wanda was grieving and I get how grief can make you be blindsided, however Wanda's grief morphed into selfishness and entitlement. Now I haven't seen WandaVision, but just going with what we see in MoM, here are the things, Wanda does, which make rooting for her kind of weird for me.
Wanda's grief is for children, that were never real. In her universe, she became attached to things, she created from her own magic. Children, whom as far as I understood, she chose to undo to set Westview free!
She believes she is entitled to the children of another version of her. Even going as far as to calling them her kids, when they clearly aren't.
She operates with the logic that any alternate version of her is replacable and interchangable. This is how she can justify possessing another version of herself as well as planning to kill that version of herself.
She has no problem, sending huge monsters after a child for their multiverse-travelling powers. She also has no problem, planning to kill that child to get what she wants.
She murdered almost an entire sanctum, held someone hostage to do her bidding, threatened Strange and called all of these actions, being reasonable.
Aside from murdering a whole sanctium, she brutally murdered alternate versions of characters in other dimensions just because they were in her way.
She also threatened Strange, when he came to her for help, and had the audacity to compare how they broke the rules, while ignoring that they were (in the case of the comparisons) doing it for completely different reasons. She also called him a hypocrite, when he dreamwalked as a dead version of himself to save America. Once again, same power, but different reason for the cause of action.
Wanda's actions, while motivated by grief and not having anyone to console her, had morphed into something incredible selfish and entitled. The fact that she was obsessed with control and refused to move on, until America showed her exactily what her actions would do to her beloved children (who once again aren't even her own), makes her a terrifying villain and a fascinating foil for Strange.
Thus seeing people try to be like You go, girl, and make her in this feminist icon, based on this one line (while completely ignoring the context) is really disturbing for me. Why are people so reluctant to call her a villain? I am not saying, her grief makes her evil. It's how she chooses to respond to that grief, which makes her evil! Honestly, please tell me, I am not the only person, who finds this reaction genuinely disturbing.
I've seen WandaVision twice, but I haven't seen Doctor Strange 2 yet.
Now my feelings about how WandaVision ended is that I can sympathize with her. She lost Vision, she lost five years of her life, she was grieving. But that didn't give her the right to hold a town hostage. I can understand the town's people being upset and angry at her at the end of the series.
But I still loved the show. And Wanda.
Now, let's move on to Doctor Strange 2. I do have a basic idea about all the people that she killed and the destruction that she did.
Yes, at the end of WandaVision she realized she was hurting the town's people and set them free, which killed Vision again and wiped her '"sons" out of existence.
She definitely was the big bad of DS2, but we know with other characters who do bad things, their fans think they are angels **cough** who are perfect.
Sometimes good characters do bad and evil things and you have to acknowledge and accept that.
Like a lot of shows/movies, "girl" power is defined as women being aggressive towards men regardless of the reason. Most of the time the reasons are wrong. But to her fans, as long as she is kicking his ass, her actions are 'justified'.
Look at Batwoman. She practically walked into Wayne Manor, stole all of Bruce's stuff and declared that SHE would do a better job than he did.
Look at the Wayward spinoff. THEY had to rescue Sam and Dean, who really didn't need rescuing, weren't they chilling in the AU?
"Girl Power" isn't just about making men look bad, it's about showing how you, as a woman, can be strong and WORK with men.

MoM spoilers under the cut
*there is some rant below so read at your own risk
So I finally saw MoM and I am not quite unimpressed. I actually had high expectations from this movie but honestly it was very underwhelming. It was kind of all over the place
Now the movie definitely had some plus points. There were amazing visuals in the movie. The special effects were off the charts. Rachel McAdams rocked as Christine. Benedict Cumberbatch was good. I loved America Chavez and Wong was a sweetheart as always. And Elizabeth Olsen nailed her performance as an unhinged Wanda. She definitely gave me Daenerys Targaryen vibes, especially when she entered the darkhold temple and the monsters bowed down before her. But the story was a mess. Here's some of my critiques:
• I feel Wanda's face-heel turn was too drastic, lazy and messed up her character arc from Wandavision. WV had its problems but it did show Wanda reconciling with her grief and freeing the people of Westview once she was forced to see the reality of what she was doing. For her to go from someone who sacrificed her (albeit fake) family because she realised she hurt people to sending monsters after Chavez and not caring if she dies is too drastic change imo. Worst of all this change is supposed to happen offscreen. And using the darkhold as an excuse to justify her sudden turn to villiany was plain lazy. MCU Wanda definitely had a dark side, which would have been interesting to explore but the MCU just wasted it. I personally would have preferred if they showed Wanda slipping into madness and then becoming unhinged.
• Can somebody please explain to me why Doctor Strange is so hated across all universes? Like the movie tried to paint him as a catalyst for destruction but honestly what was his fault? They just kept throwing lines like all you Stranges are the same. You all can't be trusted. The biggest threat to the multiverse is you. We had to kill Strange. Is it because he bends the rules? Or because he is willing to use the dark magic and forbidden spells? Or because he is practical and places importance on the greater good than individual lives? Everytime he broke a rule or used a forbidden piece of magic, it was for someone else's benefit. Isn't that hypocrisy given that the Ancient One also drew energy from the dark dimension, why is Stephen blamed when he literally does it because it is his last resort, and because he can't find another way. Stephen is just blamed for everything because he is slightly overconfident, guarded and willing to bend rules, which are just stupid in the first place.
• Talking of Strange, what was his character arc in the movie? It's his movie, how did he grow? What lessons did he learn? The only character development I saw was bowing down to the sorcerer supreme and keeping away the watch to symbolise the end of his relationship with Christine. Strange didn't have a character arc at all, this was basically a plot driven movie. What about his hands?
• Why the hell did Strange and the sorcerers of Kamar Taj not keep Wanda under their guidance after knowing what she did in Westview? How could you let her be all alone especially after such a big incident?
• Can Marvel stop bringing beloved characters only for fan service and then quickly disposing them off. The whole Illuminati scene kind of felt like a cheap fanservice to bring in fans, only for them to not matter. Us fans get excited about the cameos only for them to be quickly discarded. They did it in Hawkeye with Kingpin, and now the Illuminati. If they don't add to the story, just let it be.
• Also Marvel stop using deaths for shock factor. Its just getting boring now. You brought in Captain Carter, Maria Rambeau as Captain Marvel, Black Bolt, Professor X and most importantly John Krasanki as Reed Richards only to kill them off in a few minutes 😡😡. Especially when we know John will return in Fantastic 4 (I guess). Like that's idiotic and annoying. I think Loki series was the only one able to handle character introduction before character introduction properly.
• Where the hell did the concept of variants go away? You establish in Loki and NWH that variants are their own different persons with their own stories yet every single doctor strange variant had near identical personalities. What happened to let's learn from our variants and grow like in Loki and NWH? Every single Strange is essentially the same just with different costumes. And when two Strange do meet, there is no exploration of their differences, no delving into their mistakes, just a piano keys fight. ???
• Also why use the concept of multiverse when you weren't going to explore the idea of different realities and how they can interact and imbalance each other. And how many times are you going to reintroduce the concept of multiverse and add in new rules? Why isn't Marvel keeping continuity?
• Where the hell did the entire premise of Loki series go? And how could Chavez visit 72 universes when there is supposed to be a sacred timeline? (or I am getting confused)
• Also, I don't know why but I couldn't connect with Wanda's grief the way I could connect in WV. Like I couldn't feel her loneliness, her pain, even her motherly love towards Billy and Tommy. Maybe that's just me but this movie didn't pull my heart's strings like WV did.
• And lastly, what was this ending? It felt so rushed and didn't quite fit. Like you spend the whole movie showing Wanda relentlessly trying to get her children back then suddenly leaving. I feel the scene didn't deliver the emotional payoff it needed. Compare that to WV's last scene. It still moves me to tears.
I am not saying the movie is horrible. In fact, it is quite enjoyable atleast as a one time watch. It also has some jumpscare moments. But I guess I was expecting something totally different.

A debate on the Accords would work better if anyone in the movies came from a position like this.
Tumblr media
There are three things in this comment I disagree with: OP's claims about Steve's stance, the "punishment" angle and their belief that sorcerers get away with their actions.
Steve wasn't against oversight, his main issue with the Accords is that Ross came to them only 3 days before the UN meeting and they didn't know anything about them.
Before Shield fell he had no problem working with Fury, he might have disagreed with him on his tactics but Steve doesn't necessarily have an issue with authority or having someone higher up making the decisions - but he needs to know who it is, what those decisions are and where they come from, and why. The Accords provided no answers whatsoever, they barely said: 'We make the rules, you follow them, and if you don't you're out.' It's not that he wanted the Avengers to rule themselves, he just wanted to make sure if someone was going to be given the power of leading them they would do a good job of it with no personal or political agendas involved.
Now, the punishment angle from OP's comment disturbs me. All the calls for accountability were no more than propaganda but I can let those slide. OP here is talking about punishment. They don't specify what kind but surely we understand that there's a huge difference between one of the heroes making a mistake and being reprimanded for it vs being punished for it. Are we talking prison time? Is this for every hero and enhanced person in the world or only the Avengers? Would a trial and attorney be involved or are we going the Accords route (straight to the Raft)? Who would be judging them?
Also, that line of "the Avengers doing bad things" is too vague. What bad things? Who? The entire team? Are we talking Sokovia, the NYC invasion, DC and the helicarriers....? They don't specify.
As for the sorcerers, it kinda sounds like OP is asking for them to be sent to prison which is unattainable. Their responsibility is enormous, hence their reasoning to not let just about anyone become a sorcerer. Wong is the Sorcerer Supreme and he sets the guidelines but what I get from the comment is that OP is almost saying when power is too great no one should wield it because they might make mistakes or misuse it... but would they say that about IW and EG as well? Or before that, what about Dormammu? Breaking the natural law would, I guess, be considered a terrible thing by OP but Stephen saved the entire universe with it, so which one is it?
In NWH, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of that spell. I think it's in-character for Stephen to cast it, I get NWH is Spidey's movie and it couldn't focus too much on Stephen and why he did it, but I agree it should have been addressed that he was basically brainwashing an entire planet for a minor inconvenience.
Back to the point though. I can understand the willingness to prevent mistakes from happening but you gotta be careful with how you attempt to do that because you either end up with a Minority Report situation where you're arresting people who haven't done anything in the belief that they will definitely do it in the future, or you end up with a device like Edith making people sacrifice freedom for safety. It sucks but as Steve said in TWS, punishment comes after the crime, it can never come before - if it does it becomes something else entirely.
It's somewhat similar to Wanda and the calls for punishment on her behalf, almost as if she doesn't end up with her ass in a prison cell then the accountability or responsibility for her actions is never addressed which I disagree wholeheartedly. People make mistakes all the time and that doesn't mean they need to be hurt or have their rights taken for them to learn the lesson. Wanda learnt hers when she had to kill her family to let everyone in Westview escape.
And it's kinda funny that when talking about "getting away" with their actions the OP says they're Team Stark, especially considering Stark has never faced any consequences for his actions in the MCU.
So how do you make sure the Avengers don't make mistakes? You don't. They're not perfect, they try to do what's best and they work to the best of their abilities but casualties are going to happen, this is true for any law enforcement team on the planet. If you want oversight you need something like Shield (without Hydra, if possible, thanks) with people who understand what's going on and are going to judge their actions in-context - you could never get something like that in the UN, much less with Ross. Mack, Daisy, May... those could do a good job with it, imo.

Megaphone and knife for Tola?
Aaaa thank uuu ily!!!
Tumblr media
📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?
Tola has a Polish accent, of course. The only time she doesn't have an accent (Or, well, speaks with an American accent) is when Wanda takes control of Westview. As soon as Tola realizes what's going on, she regains her accent though. After the serum, a lot of things changed - including her voice. Her once soft, more feminine voice became more brash and assertive. She spoke to command and people would listen. At first - as Tola - she was kinda insecure but it grew on her eventually. As Winter Death, she just didn't care.
🔪 KNIFE - how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?
She's angry. God save whoever hurts her loved ones. She'll stop at nothing to save or defend them, and if that means fighting off their attacker: she'll fight. She's intensely loyal. Any enemy of her friends is an enemy of hers (The enemies feel the same way). When a loved one does end up getting hurt, she's adamant they get help immediately. She can try to patch someone up with her limited knowledge back from the world war, but there's only so much she can do. She will blame herself if she can't help her loved ones. She could've done something, she knows she could've. If only she'd been faster, or stronger, or-
