What are some of Wren’s hobbies? What does she do to relax? Does she like to collect anything (rocks, flowers, stamps, etc)? Does she have a favorite place in Hope County? :)

So her hobby and also something that helps her relax, usually, is crocheting or knitting. She has a small group of gals at the veterans center that she crafts with when she has free time, which isn't that often.

Collecting things, yeah one of friends in the cult is a supply driver and since Wren isn't allowed to leave much he gets her like souviner postcards from around the county. She pins them around her bunk to mark it hers and also bring a little like life in the room she stays in bc its dim and a little stale.

Favorite place in hope county would be cedar lake, once shes trusted at all they allow her to go with small groups that go fishing there. Shes not a huge fisher but she loves the slight freedom that she gets. Plus its pretty and smells nice and theres a bunch of wildflowers at their fishing spot in the summer. Sometimes she wont even fish she'll just lay in the flowers and make crowns for some of the younger girls in the bunker.

Oh gd, I remember hearing about that lady from the My Immortal fake authorship claim and thinking she seemed like she had a lot going on but was nonetheless being an asshole. The arrogance it takes to pull this shit! How hard is it to stay in your lane!!!!

I was in the process of like, trying to figure out if she was a pretendian at the time bc she was mixing up Cree & Ojibwe cultures/languages (which she also does in her book LOL) but before I had any chance to do more, she was outed as a pretendian & she deleted. Her brother likened her faking Native ancestry as like white men calling themselves "veterans" even though they were never enlisted in the army, because of the respect or association they want from it. According to her brother they both DID have a difficult upbringing, but that neither of them were either put in a foster care either, just that they'd been essentially adopted by their grandmother. So if we believe him, then essentially she was just going to use the Native Kids in foster care narrative for herself for notoriety as an author :[

I have briefly discussed both of the Morris boys before, but I truly do get a kick out of Michael being thrown into magical shenanigans. DJ? DJ’s chill. He’s got this. Mortal as he is, he’s been engrained into the next gen’s chaos for years. He’s working as an assistant private investigator for an agency ran by a witch and minored in like. folklore or classics or something to have more background on some of the random magical things that comes up. He’s not magical, but that world is second nature to him.

Michael? look, he’s a few years older than the rest of them and so everything was pretty chill until he went off to college because that’s when the rest of the next gen started entering high school and figuring out that they can fight demons without telling their parents. Now he visits San Francisco and can’t avoid magical nonsense. He tries very hard to be polite about it, but also is lowkey breathing into a paper bag so the other next gen kids try very hard to leave him out of it but uhhh, it just keeps happening. Like he’s literally in New York and Chris orbs him and DJ into Michael’s apartment and Michael screams before realizing who it is and just has this moment of dread as he asks if there’s something going on in New York and Chris is just 😬 and dips to go vanquish the demon, have fun with your brother!

And like nine times out of ten, he isn’t helpful in a magical situation. Like sure he’s a great lawyer and a generally skilled person, but like. A cross examination isn’t gonna do shit when there’s a demon flinging energy balls at you!! And that’s v funny and all but also: the one time that Chris and DJ show up and are like hey, we need a lawyer is ofc the one time that it’s Michael’s element and so he agrees because this is his little brother (and little brother’s chaotic best friend) and he rolls up except it’s fucking. magic. court.
