I imagine Vasco and Ludovica have a big painting (portrait but with two people) in Vasco's house (probably his father insisted of getting one of these, people used to do it in the old days, especially wealthy ones). While it's very serious and formal, in the way all these portraits were, it is also very intimate (at least it's implications). I imagine Machete just staring at it sometimes, feeling small while looking at the big painting. And sad, maybe jealous but I don't think he'd resent Ludovica. He, most of all, understands.

#I have a feeling he doesn't visit Vasco's estate that often #the situation is crystal clear to him and everyone involved is on the same page #but he can't help feeling like an intruder in their home #it reminds him of what he can't have and makes him fear he will never measure up to Vasco's lawfully wedded wife #he's petty and insecure and watching the two play off each other so naturally still puts a pit in his stomach #he doesn't resent Ludovica on a rational level he thinks she's a smart brave and overall quite likable person in fact #but can't really relax in her presence either #plus even though she's friendly and welcoming she can be kind of assertive and candid and Machete tends to read that negatively #answered #anonymous #Vaschete scenarios #Vaschete lore #I don't think they interact often (why would they) but he could have a distant but courteous relationship with Ludovica's partner #if they ended up alone in a room they might eventually have a few sparse and impersonal intercharges #and maybe feel a sense of lukewarm kinship and understanding even though they don't know each other

I do not believe that Eggman swears, nor sees that his machines should ever need to swear (he never plans for them to fail or get frustrated).

I do not believe the Ultimate Life Form was taught bad words on the Ark. I just cannot imagine Gerald and the scientists seeing that as something to do, but maybe he heard some. They definitely weren't in his vocabulary.

But it is my firm belief that between Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog '05 both Shadow and Omega have been taught to swear. We know who. We know she enjoyed it.

saw your most recent post about really good fics that contain uncomfortable kinks and i immediately thought "ah, biscia must be reading the mpreg soriel fic" and almost left a reply talking about it but i stopped myself because i realized that would be an insane assumption to make. needless to say i felt so vindicated when i saw you link it in an earlier post.

WHY pick the one tied to pregnancy #the ONE ASPECT that you decided was shared between both ''male'' and ''female'' skeletons #it's also like. objectively an argument that is leveraged to hurt and deny trans people irl so it was just. unbelievably uncomfortable #this is what we mean with mpreg and transphobia btw #not that the concept is inherently transphobic or hurtful to trans people #but that that kind of alternative biological worldbuilding implies an alternative social conception of gender role for the characters #that a lot of authors just. straight up miss. because their view of the world is still very cis/perisexist #BUT!!!!!!!!!!#it was still over all a very good fic. Michael's so stern, and laconic, she's honestly just... Cold. But, I think she'd be so gallant towards a female love interest.

Damn... Imagine her kissing your hand (and refusing to break eye contact as she does it).

One could swoon. I'd say she definitely goes on one knee to propose.

Her Spartan demeanor does soften in her love interest's presence. A fond smile lights up her lips, and her piercing eyes shine with adoration. She mindlessly does things like brushing a lock of her so's hair behind her ear, putting her arm around her, or having her sit on her lap.

I also think (since she's the Champion) she has a pathological need to protect. Honestly, it might cause tension as she gets patronizing, even controlling. She's used to being obeyed without question, after all.

Angel is rather alarmed one day when he hears Vox call Niffty "Nancy" and she answers to it immediately, calling him "Vaughn" in return.

Names are powerful in Hell– nowhere near as powerful as contracts, but still. When you give someone your true name, they gain a certain level of power over you, which is why contracts are usually signed using human names. Only the most audacious overlords (eg. Alastor, Valentino, Carmilla, Rosie) still use the names they had when they were alive.

Intellectually, Angel knows that Vox isn't in a mental state where he can or would even want to take advantage of this, and it's entirely possible that he may just completely forget Niffty's human name at any moment, but it still puts him on edge. Angel likes Niffty and wants to keep her safe. Regardless of how far Vox has fallen, Angel can't help but still see him as somewhat of a threat.

#persona 4 #p4 #persona 4 golden #p4g #hanamura yosuke #yosuke hanamura #this scene gets to me because it reveals how a lot of yosuke's talk about getting a gf or meeting a girl and all of that is just... talk #on the one hand it's atlus needing the best friend character to fill that role of “lets check out girls!”#on the other hand it also reads to me as another facade of yosuke's struggle to meet his idealised conception of an average teenage boy #see it's funny because even in the first instance the role is always a bit deeper than it is #slight spoilers for p3 and p5!!!#but in junpei's case regardless of his flirtations he doesnt actually reciprocate or is even a potential LI for femmc #in ryuji's case when ann turns on the charm and offers to go on a date with him he tells her off and says that she should be like herself #i think that theres always a surprising level of nuance to be found with that skirt-chasing stereotype atlus likes to give us #i think yosuke's narrative here quite closely parallels junpei's in that theyre actually super devoted people #and yosuke has found an attachment to saki in the way junpei had with chidori so of course hes not willing to compromise on it #its such a mixed thing because even though he knew saki's kindness to him was probably faked yosuke's loyalty to her was already set #yosuke strikes me as the type of person that if youre nice to him once he'll follow you for life #i love that nanako was the one that responded to yosuke with like “oh like homework?” and yosuke gently plays along #its evocative of his tendency to shoot his mouth off only to quickly cover it up with a joke #but yu is there in the room as well listening and empathising and i think it was a moment that really #revealed to us (and yu) yosuke's underlying motivations and beliefs #even if it was sandwiched between the moment of yosuke trying to look at yu's prn #or perhaps especially because it was sandwiched between that moment the juxtaposition becomes more salient #that such talk from yosuke functions as a distraction from the anguish and ennui he feels about losing saki #he's good with his queue

#The Splinter In The Sky #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #I enjoyed a lot about this! but I think narratively it fell apart a bit in the end?#I will say the worldbuilding in terms of the MCs culture and depiction of colonialism is very rich and detailed #(I feel like I haven’t read a ton of scifi colonialism books based around African colonialism specifically?)#But the worldbuilding of the rest of the empire is kinda vague?? like there’s details but it didn’t quite feel meshed together.#It definitely falls into the trap of ‘imperial colonialsim and systemic injustices will be fixed if we kill this one guy’#(or 3-5 people; here)#I kind of wish it was more complex and maybe a duology in that sense? Or; I was actually kinda expecting a more tragic dramatic ending.#I did really enjoy the characters though!#I started the book being like there’s no way x will be a love interest right. there’s no way you can convince me of that #but by the end I was endeared to her as a character. though did think she was too…nice and good for who she was in the narrative #sapphic books
