Can I get Rooster/Hangman before the events of Maverick? There. DONE. MUWAHAHA.
Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw/Jake 'Hangman' Seresin. Warning: Snark, angst
"Bradley!" Bradley didn't stop, he knew the voice that called his name, and he already had a headache building. Dealing with Seresin would force it into a full blown migraine, and no one had time for that. He certainly didn't have the energy. "Hold up!" Jake's voice, right in his ear this time, one hand gripping his elbow, forcing him to stop, to face the other man. Bradley sighs, rolling his eyes behind his aviators. "What?" It's hot, the summer sun beating down on them. His flight suit is sweat soaked, his hair plastered to his head. And yet, somehow Jake looks immaculate. "Come on Hangman, I want to take a shower and sweat to death in the comfort of my bunk." "So it's Hangman now?" "You're the one who took off on his own." Bradley says. "We've all come to expect it. Why do you think no one wants to run trainings with you? If it weren't for the instructors picking teams we'd be huddled together trying to avoid the short straw." Jake's smile doesn't fade, but his brows come together, pinched, concerned. A flicker of hurt in sea-glass green eyes. "Maybe if you flew like you were supposed to, I wouldn't have to double back and pick up your slack." Jake says. Clipped, cold. Bradley can see the walls being rebuilt right in front of him. Brick by brick. Jake snorts, "so you just drew the short straw last night? And the one before that? And most other nights for the past three months?" "Guess I did." Bradley says. He sees Jake's hand ball into a fist. Mentally braces for the hit. "Good." Jake smiles, and it's that easy, carefree grin that makes the corner of his eyes crinkle. "Because I'd hate to think you meant anything you said when we were tangled up together." He huffs out a dry laugh. "You saying 'I love you' is just about as worthless as your flying, Bradshaw, isn't it?"

Idk if your still into countryhumans but I'm having chimerica brainrot with YOUR characters rn so if you have literally ANYTHING to share with those two please do
Also I hope your day is going well
OMGOMGHIH HIHII YES I AM STILL VERY MUCH IN THE FANDOM I CANNOT ESCAPE IT!! <3<3
Lots has been happening in my life for the past couple of months, so I have not been able to post much of anything. I haven't drawn much art either, I've been bust with work :(
That all being said, YES! I'M SO HAPPY MY CHIMERICA MAKES YOU HAPPY!! <3<3<3 Here's some angst and fluff
- Ame has Bipolar disorder (type 1) and Borderline personality disorder. It gets worse and worse the more the political parties divide between eachother. (The reason I have this hc is that the two-party system effects American politics, history, and culture across every single state, which is why it's such a prominent traits for my hc of her.) Countryhumans typically don't take medication, it doesn't effect their bodies at all, so little can help. They're too busy to take consistent therapy, but they do see a therapist once a month.
- But they do have coping mechanisms!! Well, said mechanism mainly just her hubby, China :) He helps them a lot, just by being there. He can't be there all the time of course, but he does what he can to help her, and he trusts her friends and family to be there when he can't.
- They both have their mental health problems, and struggle with them daily. It's a subconscious part of their immortal lives. They do the best they can with it and eachother, finding new ways to help.
- They watch Disney movies together, and they do it while snuggling up under a blanket, on the couch, holding eachother and falling asleep with the TV still on low volume.
- Picnic dates during the summer, SO MANY PICNIC DATES!
- Ame visits China every Chinese new year for two weeks and has a little understanding of it cuz she of course have people who celebrate it in their Country, but she does what she can to help do and set up traditions in the big cities <3
- Ame loves warm blankets and sweaters, so China always gets them as gifts with whatever excuse he can find <3<3<3
- China really likes reptiles and bugs, he just thinks they're neat, so Ame will get toys, food, new pets, new cages, etc. for him :)
- If they're not already visiting eachother or sitting next to eachother at meetings, they're calling/facetiming, texting, etc. It gets very annoying to their friends very quickly, lmao.
- Ame will make suicidal jokes sometimes and China will just say "no."
- They both hate their governments and bond over it <3
- The trade war is just them hate fucking. I do not take criticism.
That's all I can think of for now, I'm sorry. I had an 8 hour shift today and I'm very tired </3 I probably already mentioned a few of these before, but that just means they're EXTRA CANON IN MY CHVERSE!!

Vanessa x sub gn reader? something with handcuffs please 🙏
FULL FIC NOW POSTED!!!
okay so I know I was supposed to be working on This Request - but I got sidetracked. and I had an idea in my head that I really wanted to write, and this request worked well with that idea, so I am now working on an entirely different fic. but it's still a Vanessa fic, so I think it still counts!
anyway, here's a quick preview of the fic (which I am really excited about)
Damn The Man, Save The Empire - (Dark)Vanessa Shelly x GN!Reader (Preview)
(I think the only warnings for this are Vanessa and the reader having a toxic co-dependent dynamic, Vanessa being generally dark and kind of mentally unstable, the power imbalance in a relationship that comes with one of them being a police officer, Vanessa's general daddy issues, and I think that's it?)
...
“How is dear old daddy, by the way?” You asked, picking at the raw nerve out of spite. “Has he missed me at family dinners?”
“Shut up!” Vanessa barked. Then after a heavy moment, she let out another quiet, mousy sentence. “I haven’t seen him in years. You know that.”
“Oh, but your bank account says otherwise.” You replied. “The new apartment is so nice. I know you’re not bankrolling all that on a cop’s salary. What kind of dirty work does he have you doing these days?”
Vanessa’s silence was painfully knowledgeable.
He had sucked her back in somehow.
“I knew that you always had a soft spot for him.” You sighed. “You probably wish he had gotten rid of me all those years ago.” You mumbled quietly. “It’s not like you ever actually cared about me.”
Of course, you were feeling hurt by her putting you in handcuffs, threatening to turn you in, something that felt like the ultimate betrayal - so the words slipped out.
You were shocked when Vanessa slammed on the breaks and the car came to a screeching halt - and if not for your instincts (even while slightly inebriated) to put your foot against the cage, keeping yourself from smacking forward, then you likely would have had the harsh shape of that mesh imprinted on your cheek.
“I never cared about you?” Vanessa asked, her voice filled with an intense, dark rage.
You caught her eye in the rearview mirror, and save for the tears dancing on her waterline - she had a look almost identical to that same crazed look her father had worn all those years ago. You almost would have mocked her for it if you didn’t feel your stomach clenching up with fear.
“I never cared about you?” She repeated, so utterly insulted by what you had said that she could feel her reality tearing apart - she almost could believe that you had said it.
“Vanessa-” You choked out, calling her by her full name for the first time in so long, but before you could beg for mercy or apologize, she abruptly cut you off.
“No.” She said. “Shut up.”
The pure force of her voice sent chills through you, and this time you couldn’t help but to comply.
You sat in a dizzying silence as she slammed on the gas pedal again, and the car went speeding off - she seemed very determined with where she was going, and after a minute or two, where you were becoming increasingly light-headed from your worry, Vanessa whipped the cruiser into an empty lot - a random patch of dirt that looked like it was on the back end of a place used to keep scrap cars. It was dark and secluded. Nobody would find you here.

Can you write a little O.S. About Mike x Vanessa during a festive period like Christmas, with Abby ( only for a moment ) and the ghosts of the animatronics, out of the bots but somehow, they still can be seen by Mike, Vanessa and Abby
I wrote more than I thought I would :D!! This request was so fun to write, so thank you for asking for it! Hope you enjoy <3
Trigger warnings: Implied/referenced murder and kidnapping (but it's not the focus of the one shot).
Word count: 1, 387
--
It’s the day before Christmas.
Boughs of (plastic) holly and colorful tinsel hang from the restaurant’s walls. Mike couldn’t afford a tree (fake or otherwise), so he improvised (if only for the children). In its place sits the saddest bare branch tree. Hardly a tree, really, and more of a large stick with a few Christmas ornaments hanging off it.
The children adored it, though. Which is all that matters, at least in Mike’s book.
They sit with his sister in front of the tree. Abby’s teaching (or re-teaching. There’s no telling what they knew before they…..) them Christmas Carols.
“They look like they’re having fun,” Vanessa says. They stand near the arcade, supervising.
“Good,” Mike mutters, keeping a close eye on them. After what happened last time he let a younger sibling wander out of his sight, he’s not taking any chances. “It’s the least they deserve. And it’s not like any of us are going anywhere, anytime soon.”
Vanessa, Abby, and him were all snowed in during his shift. It might be possible to drive home, but he would rather not risk it with his sister in the car. And Vanessa decided to join them until the storm passed.
It’s not a bad situation by any means, and certainly not the worst Christmas Eve Mike has ever experienced. They’re warm and safe and together. That has to count for something.
Vanessa seems to process his words, lips pursing into a thin line. “Yeah,” she agrees.
They continue watching over the kids for a moment longer.
“Hey,” Vanessa says, nudging his arm.
Mike looks at her. “What?”
“I wanna show you something, c’mon.” She heads into the arcade. Worry gnaws at Mike, keeping him in place. It’s not that he doesn’t trust the other kids, it’s just….
“She’ll be okay,” Vanessa reassures, grabbing his hand. “We won’t be long.”
It didn’t long for Garrett to be…
He doesn’t finish that thought. Mike allows her to slot their fingers together. The action makes a part of him feel dizzy. But the good kind of dizzy.
The kind that feels like a thousand butterflies have taken up residence in his stomach, and are flapping their wings at the same time.
Mike looks over his shoulder at his sister, one last time. Before following Vanessa deeper into the pizzeria.
She leads him by the hand, making idle chatter. Mike finds he likes listening to her. Not a second goes by that he grows bored of her excited ramblings. Even when she tells him the same story for the tenth time, he still reacts like it’s the very first time.
Vanessa stops suddenly. “Here,” she murmurs.
“What?”
Giddily, like a child on Christmas morning, she points at something above their heads.
“Oh,” Mike says, staring at the mistletoe hung in the doorway of the backroom. He can’t remember bringing it here, nor can he recall hanging it up. Which means….
Vanessa deflates a little, backing up. “I didn’t mean to pressure you. We can just shake hands if you-”
Her lips taste like peppermint. Mike thinks, fingers tangling themselves in her hair. Most likely from the candy canes they ate as an after dinner treat. Vanessa’s warm. Warmer than anyone he has ever met before. It’s a good warmth, too. Like a blanket on a chilly morning.
She grips the back of his shirt, kissing him with just as much fervor.
They pull away, panting, and faces red.
“Uh….thank you,” Vanessa says, awkward as ever.
Mike quirks an eyebrow, trying to think of the right words. Something to put her at ease, and make things not awkward. “....Anytime….?” He tries, biting his bottom lip for emphasis. Which instantly makes Mike feel more awkward, so he immediately stops doing it.
She laughs. “Anytime,” Vanessa says, nodding her head. Turning to leave, she looks over her shoulder at Mike. “That was….fun.”
It takes him a solid five minutes for his brain to process what just happened. And another five minutes to actually head back to the lobby.
The kids have curled up together and fallen asleep, like a bunch of puppies. Which raises the question of how ghosts can sleep, but Mike is in too much of a good mood to put much stock in what sleeping habits the supernatural have.
He sits beside Vanessa in a booth. Snow continues to softly fall outside. The lights are dim. All of them are together.
“It’s peaceful,” she says, a sort of fondness in her eyes whenever she looks at the kids.
Mike hums, resting his chin in his hand. The Christmas lights they strung up around the stage are set to change colors every so often. He watches them change from red to green, a smile forming on  his face.
“Christmas used to be my favorite,” he admitted.
“Mine, too. It was the only day of the year that my dad paid attention to me. He would make me breakfast, always pancakes in the shape of rabbits and bacon. And then, we would open gifts.” Vanessa frowns.
Mike sighs. It hurts to talk about the past, but if it makes her feel less alone. “My parents would make Garrett and I breakfast, as well. Mom liked to change it up every year. One year was pancakes, the next was this jell-o concoction that she found in a Reader’s Digest.”
A smile returned to Vanessa’s face. “Did it taste good?”
“No.”
“No? It couldn’t have been that bad?”
“Imagine if the grossest meatloaf you’ve ever had suddenly had the consistency of jello.”
Vanessa stuck her tongue out. “That sounds disgusting.”
“It was, but mom was proud of it. So, we all ate it without complaint. You should have seen how happy it made her,” Mike says, smiling fondly at the memory. He can still recall the stomach that followed, but his mom’s genuine reaction made it all worth it. (It wasn’t until later that Garrett and his dad admitted that they gave their portions to the dog. Something they failed to fill him in on).
“I remember one Christmas in particular. Now, Garrett was really into all things airplanes. He drew them all the time. Liked to play pilots. And even his blanket was covered in images of tiny airplanes.”
Vanessa listened to him, chin propped on her fist.
“Well, one day, when I was walking home from school, I saw a toy airplane in the window of an antique store. I immediately thought of my brother. Our parents would give us money to buy each other a present. But the plane was far out of my budget.”
“Did you find a different one?” Her tone is soft. “I can’t imagine you gave up.”
“I shoveled a lot of driveways that year. Babysat, and did extra chores, too. I was beyond exhausted, but Garrett’s joyous squeals as he pulled the plane out was worth every penny.” It’s Mike’s turn to frown. “That was our last Christmas with Garrett.”
Vanessa takes his hand, rubbing circles with her thumb. “It sounds like you’ve always been a good big brother.”
“Yeah,” he mutters sheepishly. Suddenly, he feels embarrassed. “I guess I was.”
“Are,” Vanessa corrects.
“What?”
“You are a good brother. Nothing’s changed.”
He thinks of Abby right then. Of her drawings that feature them together. Of tucking her in at night. And of them joking around and being silly together.
He thinks of the children. Kids that-had that gotten a chance to grow up-would have been around his and Vanessa’s age. Mike thinks of how they seem eager to show off to him, crowding around him first thing during his shift. Pale cherubic faces staring up at him with something akin to wonder.
Even the blond-haired boy, who only occasionally finds time in his busy schedule to visit Mike while he’s at work (and less rare, but definitely not welcomed, while he’s at home).
He smiles, squeezing Vanessa’s hand. “You’re right. Thank you.”
“Anytime,” she says, echoing her sentiment from earlier.
And, for some inexplicable reason, Mike knows she means it with all her heart, mind, and soul. With every single fiber of her being.
Him, too. Mike thinks, idly, staring into the most beautiful blue eyes. Like two stars shining in the deep, dark void of space. Anytime, anywhere he’ll be there for her.

omg what would ness and mike’s first date be?!
im SO GLAD you asked
-i think that mike would want to take ness to a fancy restaurant but a) ness already works at a diner so mike’s worried that he wouldn’t want to eat out and b) do u really think mike can afford that lmao
-mike is probably freaking out about this w vanessa meanwhile vanessa’s like “im sure he’d love to go anywhere with you” and mikes like “okay but that’s not helpful WHERE should we go”
-the thing is mike wants to make sure that its a very special date. they’ve technically gone out before but usually with abby third wheeling. ness doesn’t mind and mike adores his little sister but he also kinda wants some alone time with his boyfriend okay?
-he does some research and there’s a historical museum a little ways out so on a day where vanessa can take care of abby and ness has a day off he takes them there
-ness doesn’t know where they’re going. mike insisted on planning the date by himself and just told ness it’d be a surprise
-lo and behold DINOSAUR MUSEUM
-(i tried to do research and if we’re taking the movie to be set in montana this museum is there and apparently has “one of the largest collections of dinosaur archeological remains” woahhh)
-ness is absolutely SPEECHLESS so mike thinks he doesn’t like it at first so he’s scrambling to make it better lmao
-hes all “it was a stupid idea, sorry. if u want we can just explore what they have around here im sure there’s like a coffee shop or something” and ness is like “mike for the love of god please shut up I LOVE IT”
-they go in and have a BLAST
-ness bc he definitely went through a dinosaur phase. he’s pointing at different models and telling mike all about them and what time period they were from etc etc
-mike is having a great time just listening to ness. does he know whats going on? no. could he tell u the difference between a velociraptor and an oviraptor? absolutely not. but he loves hearing ness talk so he’s more than happy to smile and listen.
-when they reach the giftshop he has to physically hold ness back from buying like 20 plushes thought lmao
-when ness is turned away sulking mike buys him one. he doesn’t know anything about dinosaurs and couldn’t tell you the names of any of them but he noticed ness getting particularly excited at this one exhibit so he took note of the frills around the dinosaurs neck and picks that one out of the plushes (its a dilophosaurus bc i personally think they’re cool)
-he also buys a coloring book for abby
-ness LOVES IT and then he shows mike that he also secretly bought something from the gift shop !
-its a keychain bc he knows mike’s kinda a sentamentalist and like to keep small memorabilia of things so he figured he’d want something to remember the date by and ness is like “do you like it?” eyes shining with anticipation
-mike, trying desperately not to cry: yeah
-suddenly ness is like OH! and scares mike out of his socks
-ness pulls out a puzzle from his bag and is like “this is for abby!” and mikes like “how am i so lucky” rahhh
-ness takes great care of his new plush and always gently places him in the middle of the bed once he makes it. (the first time mike comes over and sees it he tears up and ness teases him about it)
-mike also carries the keychain everywhere he goes (once he thought he lost it and made a mess turning the house upside down to try to find them. turns out abby had just borrowed the keys to open up something (she couldnt find the scissors) and forgot to put them back lmao)
sooo much brainrot i love them sm please keep sending prompts to feed the brainworms

how would the ros react with an mc that has zero self preservation skills. an absolute disaster. no sense of danger at all. but incredible luck. the "brings a wolf home because they thought it was a dog and wanted to find its owner" type *young mc holding up a very unimpressed but otherwise chill racoon* LOOK WHAT I FOUND! mcs teacher: *distressed and confused noises* How did it not scratch you????
Lol, sorry for squatting your mind!
So In the afterlife, where mortality is a concept of the past, danger is not exactly as straightforward. So, your MC's disregard for self-preservation becomes less about personal risk and more about the absolute chaos they leave in their wake!
The Raven would have a field day with the MC’s antics. "Oh, another 'pet' to add to our collection? Maybe next time you'll bring home a dragon," he’ll quip sarcastically, his tone laced with equal parts amusement and exasperation. Despite his remarks, he’ll be a bit worried about the potential messes to clean up.
Death would be constantly perplexed by the MC's actions. "What… drove you to do that?" they'd ask with a puzzled smile. The MC’s behavior would definitely leave Death even more confused about human (or formerly human) nature.
Lilith/Damien would revel in the MC's unpredictable nature. They'd see it as a source of entertainment and might even encourage the MC's reckless behavior for their own amusement. "You do keep the afterlife interesting," they'd remark with a grin.
Morgan/Morgana, used to their own brand of reckless magic, would find a kindred spirit in the MC. They might caution the MC but would also be intrigued by their audacity. "Just make sure you don't bring down the bar with you," they'd warn, half-jokingly.
Peisinoe would view the MC's behavior with a mix of disdain and reluctant admiration. "Such flamboyance in tempting fate. But do remember, not all of us are as charmed," they'd say, ensuring their space remains an oasis of calm amidst the MC's chaos.
Shelly would be both worried and amused by the MC's antics. "You remind me of my little siblings," she'd say with a laugh, making sure to keep an extra eye on the MC and hiding the strong booze, just for safety measures.
Hastur would be ever-vigilant, ready to intervene if the MC's luck ever ran thin. "There is a fine line between bravery and folly. Tread it wisely," he'd counsel, his watchful eyes always on the lookout for any actual danger.
Yaga would grumble about the MC's escapades, predicting all the ways it could go wrong. Despite her complaints, she'd always be prepared to offer advice or assistance, albeit grudgingly.
He Without Name would observe the MC's actions with silent curiosity. "Chaos… Entropy…" He will whisper after every incident.

Fic Title: Small Towns, Big Cities
"Tell me something Seresin, you ever see something as pretty as this?" Bradley asks. They're sitting on the hood of the Bronco, parked high on a ridge looking down on the city stretched out beneath them. It's dark up here, the place where they're parked is one of those places that all the high school kids go to to make out, fuck. Escape the crushing reality of the city, and their own insignificance within it. The city sleeps, illuminated by brilliant lights, flashing neon, and even though it's well past midnight there's still a sea of red taillights on the highway. "A couple things," Jake says. "But this isn't so bad." Bradley turns to look at the other man, finding Jake looking at him. "What?" He asks. Jake shakes his head with a wry smile. "Next time we have leave, you come visit my hometown. I'll show you something beautiful."

Okay, so I'm curious as to what you think of this: My Sister's roommate proposed that William and Mrs. [Afton] were married and had Vanessa, Michael, and [CC/CC Stand-in]. CC died, and the two got divorced, with The Missus keeping Mike and and William keeping Vanessa. Mrs. Afton then got remarried to Random Dude (Probably Mr. Schmidt?) and had Garrett and later Abby. William is pissed off over his youngest son having died, and kills Garrett in turn. Thoughts?
I mean, maybe? Hard to say given what little we know. I personally feel like it would be a needlessly convoluted way of keeping Mike an Afton for the movie-verse, but hey, it's not like there aren't other things in the series that are convoluted so XD

I've had this random headcannon in my head for like half a year:
When Henrietta was in 2nd grade and not a goth yet the other girls would pick on her for being fat and different. Once they stuck gum in her hair and Shelly found the her crying. She asked what the fuck she was crying about and saw the gum. So she dragged into into the girls bathroom and cut the gum out of her hair. Henrietta was too scared to talk to Shelly again but she thought she was really really cool after that
THIS IS CANON i think they would be on very good terms with each other they are both girlbosses
