I can't say I have much sympathy for backyard breeders (lmao that autocorrected to backtard breeders which is...fitting) who get mauled, esp if they're breeding pits. bybs are so irresponsible. & I seriously do NOT get the point of breeding pits to begin with. shelters are already bursting at the seams with unwanted bully breeds, most of which will end up euthanized.

Only thing I’m gonna say abt it bc I haven’t read the books or participated tje fandom since I was in elementary school but. Ppl’s reaction to Squirrelflight becoming leader is so funny. The misogyny of the authors has rubbed off on the fans I see, how are you gonna tell a victim of domestic abuse that’s she’s a worse leader and suffered less than her husband. The choice from Sunday is kinda weird cuz the options are build a cage in the house for the bird or build a nest where it fell and one leads to the bird growing up but dying once its set free and the other one probably leads to it dying much sooner. They both feel like the same option and even tho obviously the most kind, caring, morally right thing to do is keep it inside so at least it lives longer even if it's in a cage. But like to me both options suck and are basically nothing cuz I'm sorry if I look like a bad person for this, but I'm not sorry, but I'm not fuckin touching a wild animal. Even if I knew it was there even if I bothered to check out the sound to find a bird, which I wouldn't, I'm not touching it. I'm not even getting close enough to find out it's too young to fly yet. Whatever happens to it happens man and I'll never know what happens to it cuz I'm not even gonna look at it. Like, where's the 'you seem like an asshole but really it's quite a normal choice' in this whole trial thing??? That's usually an option you can pick. Sunday!!! Sunday, listen!!! It's going to be interesting to see our Hunter deal with having that innocence stripped from them, and how it''ll evolve and change them, for good or ill.

If we fight more humans down the line there's a strong chance the Hunter will realise that it's easier killing them than it is monsters. I'm sure that won't affect the Humanity system too much or anything...

yes the hunter is going to be maturing quite a bit throughout the events of the game in more ways than one. of course they've been on the receiving end of violence & are very aware of the attitudes some people have (and they're aware of the inequality between the north and the south and in places like blackwater) but they've lived in the north most of their life and have focused much of their time on just surviving. so it'll be interesting as they travel with these new companions and see their new perspectives, along with the escalating tensions within Adrania and with Gael, too.

none of the fab five's mentors are perfect parents and/or teachers. each of them have made mistakes that have hurt their children but, at the end of the day, they love and care about them, and they are also fundamentally good people who want to see good in the world. meanwhile, wen chang saw a little girl whose goal was to survive by any means necessary and was terrified of being forced back into the life she escaped. instead of nurturing her and helping her to overcome her fear, he manipulated her and dehumanized her. wen might claim that he loves her but that "love" is warped because he feels as though her created her (cheshire, rather). anything or anyone who reminds her that she is, in fact, a person capable of emotion and all the things that come with humanity is a threat to his "creation".

something to be said abt a foster pleading for anyone to adopt their extremely sweet and playful disabled tabby cat for over a year with absolute Crickets in response vs us making one post at 8pm with a frankly very poorly taken photo of a cute no-personality fluffy white kitten we have (who's not even been here 3 days!) and we have 45 comments within the hour and three of our adoption people with their phones blowing up
