since neuvi reruns, i wanted to talk about his teams, bc i saw a lot of like misconceptions. i see ppl going like "he needs furina, i dont have her\she's on another team, so i can't play him" or like "he needs both kazuha and xilonen to be good," etc.
first of all, he doesn't need ANYBODY. That man can solo one side of the abyss. One of his biggest strength is that you can put him and like 3 parasites who do no damage, but sometimes can react with hydro, and he will clear. i play him without furina all the time.
Neuvi teams are like pizza. like yes, if you put best premium ingredients, like, idk, italian prosciutto, ruccola, expensive cheese, then it will be great. but if you order from pizza chain or do homemade from whatever is in your fridge, it will still be good, probably worse than the fancy restaurant in italy, but still good, bc if you have the basics down, its really hard to make bad pizza. Same with neuvi teams, if you have a well built neuvi, its hard to do a bad team.
basics are: he wants 3 different elements (other than hydro) on a team, preferably with off-field, bc he gets buffs from just the fact that teammates triggered hydro reaction. This is why furina is not crucial btw - without his C1, he loses entire stack of the buff with second hydro on a team. furina has enough personal buffs to compensate, but overall the new buff you're getting from a character of different element will be good enough.
His teammates should be preferably buffing neuvi in some way, bc hes doing most damage, so basic formula is like:
anemo with viridescent venerer (best option kazuha)
natlan off-field with cinder scrolls set (best option xilonen)
flex slot, sub dps\buffer or shield (best option furina)
So, to illustrate i went thru first half of current abyss on my f2p account with like the most garbage options for teammates. This abyss (the one before his one rolls out) is actually not favorable to him, bc one side has hydro tulpa, and other half has a hydro beast with like 80% hydro resistance. and you know what? it doesn't matter, he can still deal with hydro beast fast enough. If it can get WET, it can get DEAD.
so, my team was, with well built, but C0 neuvi on 4 star weapon (widsith):
jean with vv on ER build - he doesnt need healer without furina (or even with her tbh), but i imagine if like im casual player and afraid of dying, i want a healer. but this can be any anemo with vv
my unbuilt ororon with scroll set. hes not doing damage himself bc he has 89% crit damage and is on energy recharge weapon, he's just there to activate buff. it could be kachina or any new natlan support. if you dont want to use natlan character for some reason, then literally doesnt matter
my level 50 dehya with level 1 sac greatsword. this is to signify like defensive unit slot, bc ppl are afraid to play him without shield. i just dont have a built shield. but yeah, you can use any shield here
so, this team has no synergy, in fact, it has like anti-synergy. no one except neuvi is doing any damage here. this is like. the worst case scenario team, with just random half-assed characters.
ok, so this team cleared first half in minute and a half first try. 1-30! if you dont know, minute and a half is a threshold of like a decent team, bc its half out of 3 minutes, so the second side also gets minute and a half. so neuvi with bad supports who do nothing clears in the same time as a decent team of 4 well-built characters should.
this is why its said he has high floor - like, his worst case scenario is still as good or better than most other characters good case. this is similar to hyperbloom - another team that can be really good with low investment. in fact, i cleared second side with like most basic hyperbloom team (nahida, xingque, kuki, fischl) and easily 9 starred. neuvi on one side and hyperbloom on another is like the easiest low investment abyss clears lol.
i also tried another like "not best", but better than trash team: kazuha, fischl, nahida. its not really hyperbloom, but it can synergize better than the first one, and it has decent sub-dps damage. So this team cleared first chamber in a minute, and other chambers in 50 seconds (bc hydro beast is in first chamber). This is i think is like a mid-investment team, nothing crazy, not best case, and it still clears in a minute!
his best team (furina, kazuha, xilonen, all c0, no 5 star weapons) clears first half in 40 seconds. again, this is in abyss thats kinda bad for him. this leaves more than 2 minutes for your second side to be bad and struggle.
tldr: neuvi is crazy flexible. build your neuvi well and everyone else on a team can be garbage and do no damage, and it will still clear fast enough to 3 star abyss room. he has no "must have" teammates. the better supports you give him, the better he becomes, but he can lose any of them if they are needed on second team and not struggle.

Cleo sub-DPS Build Guide (MUST BUILD 4*!!)
Hello Everyone! In this post I will share with you the detailed build guide of the 4-star Electro Claymore User Cleo. She is rate up on this current banner and since Etho is rerunning next patch, I figured now is the perfect opportunity for you to learn why she is a must build for any hyperbloom team.
✦✦✦ Kit and Playstyle ✦✦✦
Cleo is a 4-star ATK scaling Electro Claymore user who works well as a Physical DPS but really shines on teams based around Elemental Reactions. This guide will focus on her application as a sub-DPS, especially for hyperbloom teams.
◇ Normal Attack: Grave Vengeance
Cleo's normal attack performs four consecutive strikes dealing physical damage. Like the other claymore users, her charged attack Performs a spinning attack on nearby enemies, gradually draining stamina.
◇ Elemental Skills (E) : Expert Puppeteer
Cleo leaves an electro marker on the ground, referred to as an Ethereal Clone, that does periodic AoE Electro DMG, though this amount is very small. This skill has two charges, and two markers can be on the field simultaneously.
◇ Elemental Burst (Q) : Imitation of Life: Destructive Light
Much of Cleo's DMG comes through in her Burst, which really shines when effectively using her E skill. Deals massive AoE Electro DMG around the placed markers, which then become summons who deal additional Electro DMG to nearby enemies. When using this burst without markers on field, the AoE will come from Cleo and no summons will appear, so it is advised to make effective use of her E skill. Summons, referred to as Ephemeral Imitations, deal DMG for 4s.
Cleo's burst has an energy cost of 60 and a cooldown of 20s.
◇ Passives
- Precision and Might: Having maximum markers on the field increases Cleo's EM by 30.
- Harsh Truth of the Undead: If below 50% HP, Cleo has a 25% chance every 3s for one Normal Attack to be infused with electro.
- Deft Hands: 25% chance to refund materials when crafting Character and Weapon materials.
✦✦✦ Ascension & Talent Materials ✦✦✦
◇ Vajrada Amethyst
Like all Electro characters, Cleo will need Vajrada Amethyst for ascension. Players will need to collect the following amount to get her final ascension:
Vajrada Amethyst Sliver x1
Vajrada Amethyst Fragment x9
Vajrada Amethyst Chunk x9
Vajrada Amethyst Gemstone x6
◇ Drops from Undead Hoardes
Undead Hoardes are found all throughout the world, most commonly in early regions like Ention or Riveia. To get Cleo to final ascension, you will need:
Rotten Tooth x18 (x18)
Decaying Fang x30 (x66)
Jaw of the Undead x36 (x93)
(Parentheses are for all talents to level 10.)
◇ Singing Fruit of the Choir of Leaves
Singing Fruit of the Choir of Leaves can be claimed by defeating the Central Leybeast in Riveia. Like other bosses, it costs 40 resin to collect materials. You will need x46.
◇ Glowberries
Glowberries is Cleo's local specialty from Hermitopia. Unlock the Hermitopia Archon quest to be able to travel there. You will need x168. They can be grown in the teapot.
◇ Persistence Talent Books
Persistence Talent Books can be gotten from Mooncalled Depthstrider's Palace (Hermitopia) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
◇ Coin of the False God from the Scourge of the Mirror Factory weekly boss
Complete the Hermitopia Archon Quest to unlock this Trounce Domain.
✦✦✦ Artifacts & Stats ✦✦✦
Cleo's best Artifact set is now Widow's Encore in the 5.3 update.
2-piece set increases Elemental Mastery by 30. 4-piece set increases the DMG of elemental burst when an elemental reaction with electro, such as Electro-Charged, Overload, Superconduct, Hyperbloom, Quicken, Aggravate or Spread, has occurred within the last 2s.
Sands: ATK%/EM
Goblet: Electro DMG
Circlet: CRIT rate/DMG
Substats: ER, CRIT rate and DMG, ATK%
ER: ~130-160%
Another good option for Cleo is 2-piece Thundering Echo set, 2-piece Widow's Echo, which increases Electro DMG and EM respectively.
✦✦✦ Weapons ✦✦✦
Cleo's best in slot is The Twin Splitter (Weapon banner), but other standard 5* options include Forge's Spine and the BP weapon Carrion Vengeance. 4* weapons that are good for Cleo include the forge weapon Whiteout and the standard weapon Bornagain Ashfinder. If necessary, for new players and f2p players, the best 3* weapon for Cleo is the Talking Stick.
✦✦✦ Talent Priority ✦✦✦
Burst > E. Skill > Normal Attack
A good suggested level for folks who do not want to go all the way is 6/8/9.
✦✦✦ Team Comps ✦✦✦
GOATed Hyperbloom - Cleo's best team by far. Cleo as sub-dps and electro application, Bdubs as hydro application and support, and Etho as on field DPS and dendro application. A flex healer is good for this team, especially considering Bdubs's HP mechanic. Personally I use Joe Hills for her grouping abilities, and anemo is always welcome in a hyperbloom team.
Cleo Superconduct (DPS) - Cleo as main DPS, then Xisuma for electro resonance and support, Iskall as sub-dps and cryo application, and Ren for cryo resonance, maybe
✦✦✦ Constellations ✦✦✦
C1: ATK speed up related to E skill.
C2: Increases charges on E skill.
C3: Talent level increase.
C4: Increases Cleo's ATK based on party member HP.
C5: Talent level increase.
C6: Burst duration increase.
Cleo's cons are nice, and she is a perfectly good DPS/sub-DPS at C0, but C2 is absolutely incredible for anyone looking to play and build her long term.
◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆
That's all for the guide! Happy wishing and hope you enjoy the current Rate UP (get those cons)! Let me know in the comments if you're planning on building Cleo and if you're considering pulling on the Etho rerun next patch!!

Greetings, fellow writer.
I have been made aware of your Genshin OC assignment, as you may have seen by my given like. I would like to not only make a request, but also seek permission to use your analysis in my upcoming Genshin Impact fanfiction. Formal credentials are a guarantee. To why I am asking this? I am unfortunate, for I am currently in the state of Authors Block, especially in regards to this story... I considered my options, and thought it would do no harm to ask.
  ݁ ˖ 𖥔 ﹏ ☽ ˚࿔ ☕ 𝜗𝜚 ⋆ ﹏ ♡ ₊ ˚
Name: Ivara
Age: Around 22 - 24
Main Trauma: Caution, Over-independent, Distrustful. Ivara was a unfortunate victim of poverty, living as a street rat most of her life. Because of her life in the streets, she has learned how to pickpocket, steal food from vendors undetected, and knows how to create a escape plan within the duration of a second. She held incredible distrust for the adults, and has even more resentment for the elites’ who gain their wealth through embezzlement.
Character Development: Softened. Cooperative. Noble. Ivara worked really hard to go where she is today. Although opening up a Information Guild was far from what her initial ideal life looked like in her life, she would not change it for anything. Acknowledging her past full of thievery, even if it was in the name of survival, she sought out to help people just like her, providing them with food and shelter, and in exchange they will work as investigators for her Guild. In the end, these transactions gained her the title of Guild Master, even though there was no spoken hierarchy before that.
  ݁ ˖ 𖥔 ﹏ ☽ ˚࿔ ☕ 𝜗𝜚 ⋆ ﹏ ♡ ₊ ˚
My asks are indeed open, so if you would like, I can do the same assignment for your OC's. I cannot say I would be successful, since I am more into Lore Unlocking, but I do promise I will try my best to provide you with some good guesses.
Until next time, it was a pleasure to stumble across your blog. ♡
Quite formal ain't ya?- XD Well now my turn to ramble, hope ya enjoy! Note: this took me almost two days to finish but considering how important this sounds I went into specific details more on her powers and weapon than I did her backstory.
Ivara is a Dendro user from Liyue, having grown up born into a poor family from Qingce Village life in the land of mora and trade was relatively harsh, Ivara is extremely intelligent but was held back by her upbringing, so much so that when she finally reached out of her shell the Qixing even offered her a position which she refused, finding the life of Inazuman wanderers such as Kaedehara Kazuha to be much more appealing, on her journey she would've only settled down for a short time in Sumeru to start her own information guild, a branch of the adventurers guild that strived to not just share aid across missions and give out commissions but to share the knowledge you learned on the mission in hopes of keeping people safe from possible dangers.
Ivara is a claymore user, which fits her character extremely, as for Ivara her physical strength reflects her mental strength, Ivara is an amazing DPS/sub DPS with quite possibly the best Dendro application so she'd be best in a Hyperbloom team.
Ivara's regular attack deals constant physical damage and has a base range of five character steps, more and more damage being added as you crown, refine and add to the constellation, when holding down the attack button she'll take a defensive stance making most enemy attacks ineffective while in that state before taking an offensive stance and beginning to spin, effectively shielding herself from all physical attacks and even being able to send elemental attacks flying back at the sender if she hits them and when having run out of stamina she will auto target onto the closest enemy with the highest HP and letting her weapon fly into them which does ×3 base DMG.
Ivara's elemental attack can be used three times in a row before having to recharge, with each elemental skill she releases a "nature bomb" which infuses everything(including character and enemy weapons) within a 30 step radius with Dendro, the effects of this last 20s with the recharge time after one use being 20s with ten seconds added with each use, the highest cooldown time being 40s, anything that steps within the 30 radius during that 20s will have the Dendro effect added to them and the effect itself lasting 25s when applied on an enemy.
Ivara's elemental burst is reminiscent of Nahida but with some Alhaitham, meaning when using her burst outside of a specific domain or room it will create a domain of its own, the domain lasts 60s and any enemy within it is constantly delt Dendro DMG every 5s, the effects of Dendro last the entire 60s the domain is active with an extra 10s afterwards, if her burst is used in an enclosed space or domain then the Dendro domain will be skipped and the effect will be applied to the entire room, when effected by the burst the length of her weapon will change from 5-8 and will return to 5 after 5s that the burst has ended.
Her signature weapon is called "A Mercy Oath's Witness" or just "Oath's Witness" and is a relatively strong physical DMG claymore made of bone and steel with intricate floral motifs carved into the bone that are illuminated when Dendro is applied and can glow other colors if effected by that element or used with a character of a different element.
Best team comps(DPS):
Ivara, Beidou(or Kuki), Furina(4 star substitute Barbara) and Baizhu(4 star substitute Yaoyao)
Best team comps(sub DPS):
Raiden Shogun(4 star substitute Beidou), Ivara, Nahida(4 star substitute Yaoyao but not recommended), Furina(4 star substitute Barbara)
Best characters to pair with in general: Beidou, Kuki Shinobu, Jean, Furina, Nahida, Raiden Ei, Yae Miko, Bennett

So.. There are some of my genshin characters' builds I'm kinda proud of + team comps as AR 60 playing for 3,5 years
(esp proud as f2p except for Shenhe skin)
______________________
Tartaglia main since year one he's my absolute babygirl
And I wasn't even simping for him, I liked him bc of the gameplay in the first Hyakunin Ikki event
Farmed hydro set for him, then the nymph set and then RE-BUILT him by farming the whole new nymph set the dedication is proved I think ahah
Tumblr media
Childe C2 was a double accident trying to pull for Heizou and Freminet (I haven't got them btw lol)
Tumblr media
The fact that his best team is still the International is vile but also incredibly based
______________________
Arlecchino enjoyer
Ngl I also wasn't really simping for her but for her gameplay and animations and ESPECIALLY SCYTCHE yes I did end up spending 100 f2p pulls for her weapon and I have no regrets
Tumblr media
I use to play her in Overload team (with attack sands) but recently only been playing Vape
Tumblr media Tumblr media
______________________
Neuvillette yes I'm a meta player
He's pretty straightforward and thankfully low-investment and he's been carrying me easily since release
Tumblr media
I play him in few different teams, including double geo with Albedo, but teams other than Hypercarry are only for overworld
Tumblr media Tumblr media
______________________
Fischl appreciator
Ngl I was pretty annoyed by her before this one summer event where we got to know her story and since then she easily became a top character for me (including damage-vise)
Tumblr media
She's a sub-dps so I literally put her in every team I can lol
______________________
Proud Kaeya main
C6 Triple-crowed
Kaeya main day one. Literally the reason I started to play genshin. I didn't even know it's gatcha at the time imagine that. Just saw a pretty character on twitter and decided to try. I'm like super lucky he's standard chara lol
Tumblr media
I've tried a few different builds over the years (physical, freeze, melt) and end up stopping at melt one
Yes, he's in his og outfit even tho I have the skin, I just like it more
Even pulled Shenhe for him (even tho she ended up being my absolute favourite female chara in genshin) I even got the skin for her and broke my f2p journey
Her build is hybrid, support noblesse but also cryo goblet for some damage
And yes, she has her signature, but to be honest I was trying to pull for Mistsplitter for Kaeya
Tumblr media
I play them both in Melt comp
Tumblr media
______________________
Alhaitham autism bonding /j unless
He's just that bitch you know. Plus I'm a meta player once again.
He's rocking 3* weapon because he's a low-investment king definitely not bc I'm broke
Tumblr media
Hyperbloom team is my favourite yes I put him with 2 archons and what about it
Tumblr media
Kuki is my queen btw but she's low-investment support so there's no need to show her build. I actually liked her since release and KNEW she's gonna get better over time.
______________________
Traumatised like Xiao
I was saving the entire first year I played just to get him (I started to play on his banner but couldn't get him), I never got any Inazuma 5* except for Kazuha just to get Xiao.
..And then devs decided to rerun him every 3 months FUCK
I was definitely hurt but oh well
Tumblr media
Tried many different builds and teams for him (even pulled Albedo for double geo). Every time he was getting buffed, I got this chara/artifact.
Tumblr media
Is my build doing enough damage? Still no. But he's still my favourite deadly little meow meow and I'm not ashamed to admit it (I kinda do cringe writing this please know it's meta ironic)
______________________
Last but not least Tighnari
Liked him since beginning and yes I did pull on his banner instead of waiting for standard and I don't regret it. He's a good dps and best standard chara
Tumblr media
Tighnari's is a day-one build btw I haven't changed it since he came out I think it's still good.

That's it, thank you for reading if you did haha!!

I really do love kinich’s playstyle but I also love alhaithams so much but I’m f2p so it’ll get harder to get chars at one point can I hear how good his gameplay from you?
-wrio anon (who’s back in tumblr)
HMMMMM it’s a tough one bc I think that they’re a bit difficult to compare especially bc my kinich is c6 and I got his cons fairly early on so I don’t rly rmr his playstyle and dmg output at c0 all that well to properly give a verdict. I assume you’re aiming for c0 for the most part since ur f2p and wanna pick one over the other.
I think tbh it depends on the characters you have currently. If you have xiangling and bennett then I would say you’re mainly set for kinich team. I really vouch for the xiangling and bennett duo because xiangling is rly his best sub dps atm but she has some serious particle generation issues so getting her burst up is rough with kinich team unless you have bennett. I have 260 er and engulfing on her and I still struggle. Bennett rly helps with that issue and ofc he gives the attack buff and I usually slot in zhongli for the shield but kinich moves around a lot from a distance so you can get away with a different team member like maybe furina for burgeon if you need zhongli for a different team/don’t have him. His team options are really limited bc he’s specifically burn and burgeon and we have HORRIBLE pyro choices right now and with his spinning playstyle, sometimes xiangling’s burst isn’t always the most compatible. But his personal dmg is higher than alhaitham’s ofc
But alhaitham is super flexible with teams. You can play him on spread/hyperbloom and there are lotssss of team options for that and they’re mostly f2p friendly. He has good dendro application and between his burst and skill, having his chisel mirror uptime be constant is easy if you get a hang of his rotations. His personal dmg isn’t as high as kinich but with the whole team combined I would say he can perform just as well if you build everyone efficiently.
THE MAIN VERDICT is rly like. Which teams are easiest and most efficient for you to build and what characters you have. I do think though that because alhaitham is a little bit of an older dps and kinich is a bit newer, kinich naturally just power creeps him a bit and can sometimes outperform him with some of the newer bosses. Not that that’s always the case like alhaitham is still pretty good but I just don’t use him anymore it’s always Kinich for me BUT. Keep in mind that mine is c6 so his personal raw dmg without other supports is already pretty nuts. But I think kinich at c0 is still honestly superrrr good. IM A BIT TORN BC I DONT KNOW UR CHARAS AND WEAPONS but I guess generally assuming you can play either of them efficiently with a proper team, I would go for Kinich he’s easy to build too his best set gives him 40% crit rate bonus so all you have to do is stack a bunch of attack and crit dmg on him and ur set

I didn't expect a full on debate in the comments section of a YouTube short about hydro healers.
So let me put down some reasons that Kokomi will NEVER be as good as Furina on any of my teams. (Because all of my healers need to be able to multi-task)
Burn team
Kinich - DPS
Lyney - Sub DPS
Bennett - Quick fire Application, Battery for Lyney, sub healer, off field fire app (c6 was made for Kinich)
Kazuha - Sub for Bennett
Klee - Sub for Lyney
Furina - off field healer, tank for heavy hits.
(Having Kokomi on this team would have a chance of removing the Pyro statues, effectively ruining my burn team. Especially when I miss with the Kinich skill, and it sends me flying into the enemy. (It's a skill issue, I know). But the reason I explain this here is because this is my main team, and I will defend this team with my life)
Freeze team (I don't have this team come home, Wriothesley)
Neuvillette/ Mualani - sub dps
Furina - Healer, Battery, great water application when needed
Ayaka (for now) / Wriothesley - dps, freeze app
Mika - battery, ranged attacks.
Melt
Furina- Main healer, Hydro app if needed, can stop Hydro app before Vaporized happens. (Easy Hydro control)
Bennett - Sub dps, Melt, Sub Healer, Battery
Ayaka - Sub Dps Freeze for melt
Klee - main dps
Electro charged
Raiden - Sub Dps, off field Electro
Yae - battery, off field electro
Furina - healer
Mualani - main dps
Bloom / Hyperbloom
Furina - main healer, hydro app (controlled)
Kaveh -battery, quick bloom
Baizu - Sub for Kaveh, Shielder, sub healer,
Alheithem - Dps
Ororon / Raiden - off field Electro
Over charge
Furina Healer
Lyney DPS
Raiden - Sub DPS, off field Electro App
Ororon sub for Raiden
Klee Battery
I think my point to this is that her healing doesn't get in the way of my combos like most healers, in general, do. If you don't want hydro applied, you won't have it. But with Kokomi, if I rush up to an enemy, first I better hope to the high hells I'm not fighting cryo, but also bam hydro is slapped on them. Even teams where I can benefit from Furina being an off field dps (my little guys do about 8k damage a hit) I would rather use Barbara (c6) or Baizu as a healer than Kokomi.
But low-key, my Furina also has 50k hp and is about to be crowned, so of course she's better than the nonexistent Kokomi. My Furina also crits 40% of the time instead of being in the negatives like Kokomi. Like you really gotta reach to build a criting Kokomi.
Also, Furinas heal lasts longer, and she can actually run on water without ever having to worry, so that's a bonus.
I will admit though, Furina isn't perfect. Her healing doesn't heal the whole team, which is a down side, but usually I use my burn team which means only Kinich is taking damage because his skill is long af, and I can usually kill things with him so why would I need to heal my whole team?
Rifthounds.
Yeah, they suck, but I use Lyney, who can heal himself and Bennett, who is a backup healer, so nah, I'm good. I don't need that whole team heal. I do well with my burn team.
"Oh Ian, what if you are going against Pyro?"
Easy. My healers are all multi taskers, which is why Furina is so great, I turn her to sub dps and make my team a bloom team without having to switch characters and Benny can be the main healer until after combat. (Lyney has 3k attack so he doesn't actually need Pyro damage for them big hits)
What initially makes a good healer is their ability to heal, yes, but they become subpar when they ruin your teambuild. I'm looking at those of you who c6-ed your Bennett (I'm also looking in a mirror, but c6 Bennett has always been a good choice for how I work my teams). If your healer can do only one thing right, I guess that's fine, but I need more. I need adaptability, and Kokomi doesn't give me that.
My Furina has the lowest attack on my main team, being 1.7k, but depending on the circumstances she can go from healer to battery to sub dps to dps if needed. She's also wonderful for exploring as her waterwalk can be endless. And, let's not forget the endless attack. She doesn't have an end, like most character do, that combo keeps going, which is a nice touch referring to her part in the Fontaine story.
Ya'll out here playing chess with your healers, but I've been exploring Teyvat. Every team that I have built with Furina as my healer is adaptable. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be if I could squeeze a fifth character in my team so Albedo could shield me.

Confession, I pulled Alhaitham before meeting him bc he's hot (w leftover pity from scara, impulsive ten-pull and won) I did not expect his first ever conversation to be a verbal "as per my last e-mail" and at this moment I think it's hilarious but I'm sure I'm gonna find him insufferable later lmao also before him I only had Collei and lvl20 Yaoyao help how do I dendro
Pretty much all Dendro characters are balanced around reactions. In general, you should run them with an Electro character to cause quicken, at minimum, and it's often the case that Elemental Mastery is more useful on them than ATK (though for quicken, you still want crit rate).
Dendro's scariest weapon is hyperbloom, which is a really broken reaction. Hydro+Dendro to cause cores (only stat needed: enough ER for burst if they need it), then Electro to make the cores go homing missile (full EM build), and you can do this even with Collei, Lisa and Barbara if you have no better options. That said, the second best off-field Dendro in the game is Traveler. First is miss four kits stapled together herself, Nahida.
Collei is generally underwhelming but serviceable, especially if you get her... C2, I think? Yaoyao is a genuinely very versatile and useful little unit. She's been a staple in my Sucrose-Fischl-Beidou team, and she generally just combines good healing with decent Dendro application. You can even use her with Alhaitham.
Alhaitham is a strong dendro dps. He's a pure on-fielder though, note his very long skill cooldown, and once he leaves the field, his infusion will be gone. What you want to do is pair him with an electro character who can apply electro off field for most of Alhaitham's duration, then use his skill + burst + charged attack to maintain 3 stacks of his mirrors and then keep using his infused normal attacks. This will proc the follow up attacks from his mirrors. It'll be a ton of little hits and every third one will benefit from quicken. He dual-scales EM and ATK, but generally an EM sands/weapon is more beneficial. The difficulty is that you need to maintain all three mirrors and this requires some thinking. Not a lot, but definitely too much for me.
As for his personality...
Uh, well. He's a character type I particularly dislike, very similar to Yae, Ayato and Zhongli at times. So I hated him from the moment he appeared. I think he's mediocre in terms of looks and doesn't really hit any specific appeal for me, plus those dumb looking shoes... the only way I tolerate him is haikaveh lol. But this is more personal preference. I wouldn't say Diluc or Childe are better written, they just happen to hit my preferences more.
His overall personality is that he's hyper competent, always the smartest person in the room, but he has no tolerance for any kind of social nicety and he also has no ambitious aside from clocking out exactly at 5pm and going home to read books. Because that's how his grandmother told him to live and having a dead grandmother is his only backstory trait (outside haikaveh).
His animations are quite cool and sometimes his dumb voicelines do get me though. Mihoyo's money making machine is well oiled and precisely calibrated.

Hey, question but what are good teams for Layla, Xingqiu, Ninggaung, Candace or Kuki? C1, C3, C0, C3 and C2 respectively lol
layla goes with most teams that need a shielder but i find her superb for freeze in particular! i can also see melt being great (pretty sure melt layla's carried me through the abyss a couple of times LOL).
xingqiu is a hydro applier, which makes him good for any team that needs a strong hydro support. the most famous? well-known? example is vape hu tao + sustain + double hydro, usually compromising of xingqiu and yelan, but lately, furina's also been great. i suggest getting him to c6 at some point!
ningguang is a geo dps, and although i don't use her much, i'd put her on a mono geo team (ex. ning + zhongli/noelle + yun jin + gorou). it's best if you have gorou since he really buffs mono geo a lot.
regrettably, i don't play candace at all! i just got her from this past event and she doesn't seem to be the best hydro support that i have, so i didn't bother to build her. that said, i find her hydro infusions (supplied by her burst) very useful, so if you have a hydro dps that really depends on normal attacks (ex. ayato), i'd suggest building her for her burst!
kuki is best for hyperbloom (electro hits dendro cores to trigger elemental reaction). ideally, she'd be the one triggering the reaction, so build her for EM and put her on a team with a hydro applier (xingqiu would work brilliantly for this!) and a dendro unit. i'd also recommend trying to get kuki to c6!

So, to answer your questions:
-Ayato vs. Neuvillette
Depends what you want. I have both of them so I can tell you pros and cons. Ayato in my opinion is more flexible and has big aoe in his kit along smaller skill aoe. U can use Ayato as burst support for easy hyperbloom when enemies are spread out, do hyper Ayato with yun jin, benett and kazuha, and use him easily in electro-charged.
On other hand Neuvillette in fun to play, has new Fontaine mechanic in his kit and has more nuance that make you think how you want to use him and higher personal dmg. Also different team combinations can feel bit different to play. Personally, even though I saved for over 3 months for Neuvi, I would still recommend Ayato more for sheer flexibility and amount of supports Ayato can use compared to Neuvi. So if u don’t have strong feelings towards Neuvi and are new/ in-between player go for Bobba Man.
Weapon vs. C1
If you really want to get Neuvillette, going for his weapon is better investment then going for his c1 and gives more dps increase, but also, if u don’t have many characters and don’t really want to main him just slap prototype amber on him and all will be good. In fact usually u won’t be focusing on mid maxing his dmg but on being able to do his rotations consistently
And his hydro application.
Hu Tao:
I remember getting her before getting yelan and Zhongli and albedo and it was rough. You can play her in double pyro or without shielder, but is… hard and you have to want to do it. Double hydro just feels good, comfy and easy to play. So if you don’t have any of them and are not ready to tryhard give her a pass. There are easier dps to use.
If you want more detailed info watch this videos:
-Neuvillette first impressions
-Hu Tao, is she worth it?
-Current banners, are they a scam?
I've been going back in forth in my head:
-Weather to get Neuvillette.
I've been wanting Ayato, but Neuvillette's kit seems so much more fun. But also I wasn't expecting HP drain on him and that worries me.
-Get his C1?
I could just wait for a rerun if I *really* wanted a constellation
-Get his weapon?
Amazing stat stick. But I've never rolled in the weapon banner before. The thought of doing so scares me a lil
-Get Hu Tao? But then would I have to get her weapon?
Hu Tao has been fun for me to play in trials and she's been powerful ever since release. However HP drain is still not my fav. But again, she's fun.
Also the weapon banner scares me.
-I kinda wanna roll for Shenhe when she gets a rerun. Also there might be a new playable character out when she does rerun.

Initial Analysis of Baizhu
Well, here we go. Decided I’d take a quick look at Baizhu since we have some details about him from the Version 3.6 beta. So far he looks like a very solid support that can do pretty much anything and might be the premier option for a Dendro character with role compression when he becomes playable.
Elemental Skill
Does a pretty good amount of damage for hitting a total of three times, and also heals your entire party by a pretty significant amount. On top of that this Talent has a pretty low cooldown of only 10s, it’s overall just a really good attack. Hopefully it generates a good amount of particles as well.
Elemental Burst
This one’s pretty unique. It creates shields and heals your active character in addition to dealing damage when the shields break or are refreshed. The shields themselves are interesting as well because they’re pretty weak but since they’re always being regenerated while Baizhu’s burst is active it’s effectively the same as having a really tanky shield. You should get about five or six of them while the burst lasts, and looks like it costs 80 Energy for Baizhu.
Passive Talents
First Ascension passive gives Baizhu 20% more healing for characters below 50% HP and if your active character is above 50% HP, he gets 25% Dendro DMG instead. Pretty nice talent overall, more damage is always better.
Second Ascension passive is where the fun is at. Every 1k HP Baizhu has up to 50k will give the active character 2% more Hyperbloom, Bloom, and Burgeon DMG and 0.8% more Aggravate and Spread DMG when they’re healed by his Elemental Burst. Considering how absurdly broken Hyperbloom is and that you can in theory get a 100% DMG Bonus to it with this Talent, I would not be surprised if this gets nerfed in the beta test because damn that is way too OP.
Lastly, Baizhu has a unique exploration Talent that heals your active character by 2.5% of his HP when they harvest plants in the overworld. I like that this is something new and it’s a nice quality of life feature to keep your team healthy while exploring.
Constellations
As is normally the case with 5-Star characters, Baizhu’s C2 is pretty strong and a good stopping point for players who want to invest in him without going full whale. C1 gives his skill an additional charge, making for a comfier playstyle and enabling more damage and energy for Baizhu. The C2 performs joint attacks with your active party member every 5s, dealing a hefty 300% Dendro DMG and also healing 1/5 the normal amount of Baizhu’s skill.
C4 is a strong supportive Talent, being essentially Collei’s C4 but better as it just gives your team more Elemental Mastery.
Lastly, C6 enables DPS Baizhu and just makes his burst deal a fuckload of damage in general, with added 10% HP scaling and generating more shields which means more damage.
Overall Thoughts
Looking at that second Ascension passive, I get the impression that Baizhu is like Candace but if Candace was done right. If her similar Talent that grants bonus damage based on her HP was more universal than Normal Attack DMG Bonus with her burst, she would have been a much better and much less niche unit.
But yeah, as you can see, he’s pretty fucking stacked. Also I’m sorry, but I just have to add that it really makes you wonder again what the fuck happened with Dehya’s kit when Baizhu is apparently a god. The disparity in power level between the two of them is sobering.
Anyway, I’ll probably be doing a similar post about Kaveh pretty soon. I specifically wanted to look at Baizhu first so I can get an idea of how much I give a shit about him. I’m thinking of pulling for C1 Dehya but I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t burn too many Primogems if Baizhu was a character I wanted, especially since I’ve officially gone free-to-play and have no intention of buying the Gnostic Chorus or Blessing of the Welkin Moon.

Nahida banner is going to run soon and i wanted to talk about her and her pros and cons if you're deciding to wish for her or not. i have both heavily invested c2 nahida who is top 8% on field builds on akasha and f2p no cons horrible support build nahida, so i can talk about different levels of investment.
her pros:
best dendro application in the game with 100% uptime.
sharing of up to 250 EM to on field character, which is very good buff to spread or aggravate carries.
she has insane AOE, you can tag entire room of enemies from far away and they will be dying passively, just from nahida's dot, which is very nice for single-target teams like hyperbloom or nilou teams that can't have grouping.
her less known pro is that she can have very good personal damage if well built, like alhaitham is called "top 3 dps" and my nahida does more damage than my alhaitham on field. the reason alhaitham is even viable is bc nahida is a tiny radish with short legs and is very clumsy to run, dash and attack.
but if you don't want her to do personal damage, she is perfectly functional with purely support build too, which is very easy and quick to get, and with 3 star weapon.
her cons are really good, and her c2 makes any dendro team insane
her banner will have xingqiu and kuki, and with nahida this is a ready made hyperbloom core that will clear one side of the abyss with minimum investment. or any content, to be clear, like if you dont care about abyss, this is a boss killer team.
overall, universal dendro support who can slot into almost any dendro team and has considerable to great personal damage.
her cons:
her insane dendro application is actually too thick and it will overrun other elements, which is very relevant for aggravate teams. you can't swirl electro thru nahida's E, so if enemy didn't die in one rotation, then on second rotation you're swirling leaf and your electro dps will not get damage buff.
another con is that she tags specific enemies, so if you kill a wave and the next wave appears, she needs to come back on field to tag them again. this is a problem for characters like cyno who do damage in long infusion state, he cannot switch to nahida without losing that infusion. characters like baizhu would be more comfortable for this.
as i already said, short child model is clumsy to use on field
her alternatives:
for kinich she doesn't do anything at all, he can be either solo dendro or work with emily
for dendro teams with furina, baizhu is preferred as a healer who can quickly stack fanfare
for nilou, she's still best in slot and tbh nilou with nahida and nilou without nahida is very much night and day, but even so, nilou has enough other option that she will be okay without nahida, with like, yao yao, baizhu, dendro traveler, kirara, tho AOE will tank significantly.
overall, in other dendro teams like spread, aggravate, hyperbloom, burgeon, you can use options like baizhu, yao yao, dendro traveler, kirara. they will have less application and AOE will drop to almost single target, but it will be functional
TLDR:
is nahida still meta? YES. she's still the most universal dendro support and the BEST, arguably only true consistent off field AOE dendro applicator who is not reliant on burst.
is she must pull? no, if you don't want to. when she just came out and there were almost no dendro characters, she was, but now we have enough options, both premium and 4 star, to slot into dendro teams instead of nahida and be functional.
get nahida if you like her and you want strongest AOE dendro support that you can use in almost any dendro teams, but don't feel pressured.
EDIT: if u want to vertically invest in nahida, get her cons, as i already said, her c2 is insane. do NOT get her weapon, its mid as fuck. for damage build yae's kagura is her best option, or any dmg oriented catalyst like widsith or lost prayer. for support, 4 star EM sac frags is about as good, and even 3 star magic guide will work.
EDIT2:
Tumblr media
yes, you can use it as a support weapon, esp in nilou teams it'll be good. it's not bad support option if you happen to get it, its just not worth going for specifically. about nahida cons, i would advise to first trying your teams with c0 nahida bc this is more than enough. if nilou and nahida team doesnt feel like it doing damage, i would first look into rotations and if you have EM on the correct character, bc in bloom its crucial to know who will be the trigger

4 Month Check In
So it's been about 4 months since I started the Primoless DPS Barbara year-long challenge on Genshin Impact and I figured it's good to have a lil recap of all I've gotten done so far.
As a refresh of the rules, I'm not allowed to spend any Primogems I gather for a full year from the date I started the account. I can gather them in any method, but I can't touch 'em. All my wishes must be done with the free Fates I can pick up from any sources, like ascending characters, in-game rewards, limited events, etc. Originally I could only do the wishes on the last day of the month but that started proving far too unbalanced against me so it switched to using Standard Banner wishes whenever I feel up to it, but the Event banners I can hold onto until characters that can be support for Barbara come up (no wishing for like Ayaka or something cuz she's too tempting to have take over as the driver).
Barbara is built as a DPS and must always be on the team, ideally as the main DPS. Whatever characters I end up from wishes either support her or get benched. (I might turn some of them into a Team 2 for spiral abyss, we'll see.)
So with that out of the way, here's what I've got so far in 4 months!
Tumblr media
Barbara is near level 80, has the first 5 star artifact I ever got dropped, and an R2 weapon. She's getting her talents up fairly well, but I'm still struggling a little with getting her substats to roll properly.
My AR is 44, soooo close to 45, and world level is 5. Soon I'll be able to artifact farm for her!
Tumblr media
Her main team for clearing content/story. Sometimes I sub in DMC for hyperbloom, but he's still much weaker compared to the others so I don't rely on him much. Still got a lot of work to do to build them them up for next rank.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All the characters were obtained either for free from in game, events, or via wishing with the free Fates. Jean is my only 5 star and she only gets used to collect dandelion seeds and do anemo tasks in Mondstadt commissions. Pity. I'd love to build up Yaoyao more but I haven't walked that far into Sumeru yet to get her ascension materials. I did make it in just far enough to get Lisa's skin for free as well as max out everything for Lantern Rite to get Yaoyao.
Story-wise, I'm in Chapter 1 Act IV and struggling a little because I wasn't paying attention to my levels compared to my rank and WL and it outpaced me by a LOT. So I'm hurrying to catch up so I can resume the quest.
Tumblr media
Not too shabby on the amount of Primos I've saved up since January! Likely I would have had more if I didn't slack a few days here and there on doing dailies (I hate going into Dragonspine). Completely F2P, all Primos came from in-game sources, events, Twitch Drops, gift codes, etc. I get fairly consistent Acquaint Fates from the Battle Pass and character ascension, so hoarding these few Intertwined Fates I have left until Baizhu shows up. I could definitely use a shielder I can set up hyperbloom with. Noelle has carried me thus far, but I could really use the reactions.
I think that's about it for major milestones and records. Gotta get back to grinding the Electro Hypostasis to ascend Lisa. If I hurry, I should have my team decent by the time the next event starts and I can clear that to get Faruzan! Could be handy for crowd control, we'll see.

What would you suggest for a Tighnari build and team?I politely ask for your assistance because I am not entirely smart.
znskz dw building is hard
there's a couple of options but ill go with my own build and team!! plus some replacements
for weapon you'll want either em or crit rate/dmg. if you got lucky on the standard banner, amos bow is a very solid option for him (because of the passive + high base atk), the skyward harp is also very good but otherwise yeah, look for elemental mastery or crit!! currently the blackcliff series is in the shop so if you have some starglitters you could go for the bow, the passive isn't great but it's a cool stat stick
for artifacts, you can go with either gilded dreams (new artifact set) or wanderer's troupe, both 4p. if you don't have pieces for these, you can farm gilded dreams and use the strongbox to try and get wanderer's troupe pieces from the useless gd ones, bc the main difference will be your stats. im personally on wanderer's troupe for now and hens doing pretty well
stats are pretty straight forward: if you have an atk% bow, go for em/dendro dmg/crit. you can also go with em/atk/crit if you don't have a good dendro goblet! for substats, look for crit and elemental mastery, the ideal amount for him is around 400/500
as for the team, im going with zhongli, fischl and dendro mc for overworld. you can replace fischl with yae (if you have good er% on her bc otherwise she needs a battery), but yae and ei aren't as good as fischl bc they don't apply as much electro. as for the dendro mc, they can be replaced with collei, i mainly went with dmc bc i was too lazy to farm for collei zbwjz
for collei/dmc, id say er% weapon and 4p noblesse oblige, until you get good pieces from the gilded dreams domain (i can't remember the name of the other set but it's this one that you'll want on them)
fischl/the electro support will mainly need em, atk and crit like tighnari, to provide good sub dps. fischl would need around 150% er to provide 100% uptime but if you can get a little bit more it's even better, especially against solo enemies
as for zhongli, i believe he can be replaced with diona bc cryo doesn't interact with dendro. she also provides healing so for the abyss it's a better option, and her c6 gives 200 em SO. neat. however she won't shield as much as zhongli so it's harder. i also think kuki could replace fischl, but i don't have her (cries and yells) so im not 100% sure
i believe tighnari also works in hyperbloom and burgeon teams but im in love with aggravate/spread so i didn't really try it </3
