Just seen someone call Maria selfish for leaving Tommy in TLOU2 when he needed her the most and I’m like???? Did you see him in the farmhouse, that’s a man who is obsessed with revenge and she’s probably given him ample chance to get over it but 18 months later he’s still obsessing over Abby. Maria (and Dina) were both more than justified in cutting ties with Tommy/Ellie for their own sakes. If Tommy and Ellie are too far gone and won’t allow themselves to be helped, their partners are more than justified in eventually making the decision to focus on their own mental health because I can guarantee the post-Seattle Tommy was not easy to live with.

Having said that, hope both couples make up so TLOU3 can just be the remaining members of the extended Miller family all living happily.

But seriously, why is it in any form of fiction or real-life, the woman is ‘selfish’ for actually putting her own well-being above someone who doesn’t want to be helped.

Sorry, little rant but jeez people don’t give the woman a break sometimes (also just a strange character to have beef with given she’s like the only ‘good’ character and she’s got such a minor role)

so I LOVE the idea of bringing Holly back in with maybe a bit of a "character makeover" so that we don't have the tired misogynistic trope of a jealous woman "competing" for a love interest's attention lol...BUT. ALSO. toxic femininity can be genuinely compelling and delicious in a character when it's executed well.

WHAT IF: instead of Holly seeing Julie as a threat and poking holes in her "intern" story from the Burner side - we had her doing all that from the KaneCo side? Holly, the ambitious cutthroat corporate businesswoman. Holly, the aspiring-CEO girlboss.

instead of competing with Julie for Mike's attention, she's competing for Kane's. because she's gonna get all the way to the top of the corporate ladder no matter who she has to step on, she's worked too long and fought too hard for every pay raise and ounce of respect she's got in this place, and goddammit why is this random intern suddenly landing big positions and getting promotions and special "training seminars" with Kane?

what makes Julie so special? she's clearly nowhere near as qualified and dedicated as Holly is, like...what is she really up to?? constantly running around and disappearing when she thinks nobody's looking?? SOMETHING sketchy is going on.......

tehe so. idk if know, but i have a mini fic series (that i have actually yet to name so it isn't Technically a series on ao3 yet lol) that just involve dance mom pyramids being done in bsd organizations (lovecraft dance moms/reality tv fan real)

and this is the port mafia one iuyfgyhui there's a scene in dance moms where jill is wearing like a cowboy hat and is yelling stuff like, "i'll pack my bags and go home right now! is that - would that make you all really happy? bc that's what i'm doing! i'm sick of this s.hit! i'm done! good for you!" and she's packing and throwing shoes while abby is like "no that would not make me happy. i-" and keeps getting interrupted.

then it cuts to an interview with christie and she says, "jill's throwing shoes and she's cursing and all i can think is you are so hard to take seriously wearing that hat" and i saw that and instantly went: chuuya.

so, the fic is basically tachihara roasting the port mafia while occasionally mentioning his "armed detective agency boyfriend" (jun) oiuygtftgyuiouyg

“Anyways, next on the pyramid is Chuuya-san beca—”

“What?” Chuuya roared, glaring at Tachihara with enough venom to maybe kill Dazai. “Why? What did I do?”

“Man, you need to chill and let me finish talking,” Tachihara laughed. “Have some of the punch and cookies by the door. Also you complain about Dazai-san like, all the time. Every other word out of your mouth is his name!”

“As it should be,” Akutagawa cut in, nodding seriously. Gin elbowed him, shaking their head.

“Also… you do realize that not everything is a challenge, right? Like if we tell you not to eat an entire onion because we don’t think you’d like it, that isn’t us saying you can’t do it. You don’t need to, like, prove us wrong?”

To be honest, Tachihara didn’t think Chuuya understood that. In fact, they’d probably take the statement as a challenge. It was just an unending cycle of Chuuya screaming.

Fun fact when I watched WCI for the first time I had to watch it in my kitchen because for some reason my internet connection didn't work in my room- And some fucking how my mother heard me having the worst breakdown of my life from her room which is. On the other side of the house. And apparently, I woke her up and my neighbors because I was just. Actively on the verge of an anxiety attack watching this damn anime 😭😭😭 I told the friend I was watching WCI with that I could handle!!!!! The angst!!!!!! I love angst!!!!! <- Couldn't handle the angst AT ALL.

I’m going to need elaboration on “I lived in a haunted house for 3 years but the ghost was chill with me specifically”

my dorm in college was a building from the 1700s with at least 7 ghosts that was most definitely haunted (i personally encountered windows opening on their own, lights flickering specifically when you were talking about the ghosts, phone calls with no one on the other end to the wall phones in the middle of the night, hearing footsteps on the roof at night. you know the classics) and in my junior year i lived in the room that shared a wall with the part of the house where at least 3 people died (including the ‘original’ ghost) and my friends lived right next to me (i was between them and the ghost location). both of them had some like INTENSE ghost experiences (someone standing over them at night/feeling someone touch their back when no one was there/seeing someone stand outside the door, door rattling) but i never had any of that even though i was LITERALLY closer. only time i heard her was on the night she allegedly died and i heard wailing which was really sad :(. moral of this story is if you live next to a ghost say nice things to her and leave her hard candies and she’ll be your bestie
