During my wandering to increase my Shiny Rellor's necessary step count to evolve I came across this lil' pink baby. You can see me kinda see it in the distance, question what exactly I'm looking at, before sussing it out.

Mar 9th shiny haul pink poison types was the theme lol got Toxapex with the dusk mark, Toxel with the pumped-up mark and Mareanie!

Could you review the shinies of my favorite Sw/Sh line, Toxel/Toxtricity?

Toxel: I like the base color that they picked out for this line's shiny—it's a neat sort of "strawberry" pink-red that works really well with the pre-existing yellows, blues, and purples. I'm not really sure if there's a reason for the color beyond that, but it feels appropriately toxic and "loud" to have a colorful, borderline garish palette. Changing only the dark purple also makes sure there's no confusion between the two forms once it evolves.

As for Toxel itself, my only issue is that I'm not sure if I like the purple "diaper"—it feels like it's drawing an awful lot of attention to something that doesn't need that much attention, and it feels like it could just be a lighter pink to match the colors on the original. Still, pretty good overall.

Toxtricity: My same comments make to Toxel above apply here, as the line is nice and consistent with its color usage. The colors well together overall, though once again I question the purple remaining. However, it's less noticeable here than on Toxel because the "strings" on the chest are a logical part of the design to emphasize. So yeah, pretty decent. I wouldn't have minded the yellow and blue accents hue-shifting just a little, but that's not a huge deal.

Gigantamax Toxtricity: Once again, there's a good sense of consistency here. The only issue is that unlike the rest of the line, g-max Toxtricity already had some pink in the design, which makes the shiny a little less noticeable. I almost wonder if they could've flip-flopped the colors and made all the previously pink areas purple instead, which might've been a bit more obvious. Still, pretty good.

Overall: A set of good, consistent shinies with nice palettes. The accent colors could've been altered subtly just to further differentiate the two, but for the most part, these are good.
