hey guys, not gonna get into details, but if i can ask for a favor; could you wear something pink at some point in the next few days? doesn't have to be prominent, even a small accessory, eyeshadow, hairpin etc would be blessed 🩷 you don't know her, but i think it'll be a really nice gesture, to commemorate her even across the world like she deserves

Feliz día de muertos feat Mahiru.
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: el Día de Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. [...] It is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed [...] The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and to remember friends and family members who have died. Source: Wikipedia
We also put up altars with food, candy, flowers, fruits, and pictures and toys of our loved ones who passed on. It's a really beautiful holiday to remember those who are gone.
I don't really have a hc for anyone in milgram, but I really wanted to draw someone as a Catrina and thought Mahiru would best fit her!
Here is an old drawing I made of how an Altar de Día de Muertos looks like

la familia luján - (from left to right) juan, gabriella, julia, juan.
read more about julia's backstory below the cut :)
julia amelia gonzález-luján is noncommittal singer-songwriter born and raised in chestnut ridge. she moved to del sol valley when she turned 18 where she fearlessly pursued her music career, achieving notable success in her 5 years spent there. but after breaking up one of her most serious relationships, she got writers block 😔 and ruined all the succes she made. recognizing the need to rediscover her true self and unleash her creativity once more, she made the decision to return to her roots. soooo she moved back in with her parents juan and gabriella and her little brother juan (aka juancho). she has a really close relationship with her father and juancho, but her mother is still really upset at her for leaving the house to pursue a career that in her opinion isn't lucrative at all so they argue about that a lot lol.
