Okay, so let’s start speculating:

Princess Rosamund: the way brambles grow from our sleeping beauty I am tempted to say Druid - either that or just something very very cursed, but 99.9% says magical

Pinocchio: I get a very Rogue-ish feeling from Lou saying he stole something from a witch, so I’m guessing he’s a Rogue

Mother Goose: my guess is Bard, but not the musical kind - could be an interesting contrast to Misty and Fig (and Fabian, who dances). Could also be a Wizard because of the book?

Ylfa Snorgelsson: she has an axe and it’s Emily, I have been waiting for her to play a Barbarian for a while now, probably Path of the Beast judging by the ears. My other idea is Ranger, which I kind of thought she would play before the trailer even dropped

Puss in Boots: so yeah, we all love Antonio Banderas‘ Puss in Shrek 2, and that one would probably be a Swashbuckler or, since Lou is already a Rogue according to my speculations, a Fighter. Then again, we’ve also had two Paladins on TUC2, so they could be two Rogues. Monk also fits cats very well I think.

Prince Gerard: my girls, I’ve got nothing, Murph could be anything with this, he’s a frog and all we got from the trailer is that he has huge red eyes

Before DOTCs came out and we only had the Guides characterization of Grey Wing, what were your thoughts on him/did you like him more then you now do?

I have spoken about this! My opinion is steadfast and unchanging. We were absolutely robbed.

The "wise" association is mostly based on BOTC's characterization. He's implied to be this battle-hardened strategist type who invented AND TESTED tactics for moorland warfare. This directly contradicts canon, where he's dead at age 2 in Path of Stars and came up with a grand total of like... 3 battle plans, not all of them taking place on the moor.

(*Shrek voice* he didn't even invent using drawings for battle positions)

Unfortunately, half of DOTC features Clear Sky as the antagonist, who Gray Wing considers fighting against to be fucjing illegal. As a result most of the arc is just him crying that his Dear Brother must believe he's doing The Right Thing, so actually we should all just calm down and do nothing.

(And... im sorry guys. I cannot sympathize with anyone who has ever said "wow dotc was so Batman The Brave And The Bold about killing characters and full of action!!" No it wasnt. The cats that die are 90% women so the boys can be more sad and most of the "action" is random, poorly paced, barely connected quicktime events. Rats, foxes, cars, fire, construction, etc. You poor people are starving.)

I guess the heart of my dissatisfaction is that it's supposed to be BATTLE CATS. Gray Wing whining about fighting his brother is annoying but also boring. Quicktime Events against foxes and cars aren't satisfying like a FIGHT is. Even the clashes against Slash and One Eye are underwhelming because we don't CARE about the safety of the just-introduced, no motivation, pure evil rogues!

(I mean... i did, because i wanted them to kill the main cast. But that's not a good thing.)

We could have had something fantastic, imo. Gray Wing being the sort of general who believes the best battle is one you never fight, and his brother Clear Sky believing that mercy is an investment in future foes. Huge battles between the groups, eventually sucking the whole forest into the conflict, and eventually resulting in the First Battle against all five Clans.

But nah they liked it more when Gray Wing bravely said, "noooo my brother's a good boy so fighting back makes us Just As Bad" and then doxxes his adopted kids like an idiot.

BOWUIGI SHREK AU

Just- Just hear me out on this alright? As cursed as it sounds, it works really well and I'm disappointed that, as far as I know, it hasn't been done yet.

Bowser- in the Shrek role obviously, unwillingly befriends a very talkative Yoshi and is furious to find his kingdom overrun by mushroom kingdom citizens.

King Boo- Farquad. Forcefully takes over the mushroom kingdom and wants to marry a mushroom kingdom delegate so the land will legally belong to him. Mario and Peach are violently uncooperative, leaving Luigi as the only viable option for him...though he's unfortunately not complaining.

Luigi- cursed by a rogue magikoopa and kept in a tower for safety reasons. The tower is guarded by a feisty Birdo and Luigi waits for the day his true love will rescue him and break the curse.

The curse is the same as the one in the film, except he turns into a Koopa instead of an ogre.

Bowser takes the task of rescuing Luigi to get the mushroom kingdom citizens off his turf and succeeds, they fall in love during the journey as Luigi sees how kind & silly Bowser can be and Bowser sees how badass Luigi can be, insert dramatic misunderstanding and 'I object' here, King Boo is defeated and Peach reclaims her kingdom while Luigi & Bowser share true loves kiss and Luigi permanently becomes a Koopa. Or whatever form(s) you'd prefer it to result in, idk. Mario doesn't know how to feel about this but wants his bro to be happy.

Prince Peasley would be Prince Charming.

Ok. Fun scooby-doo jokes are over. Time for a graphic birthing scene as Star Flower enters premature labor after being starved for days and running to get away from a bunch of stinky, dirty rogues.

The writers will see a woman character and ask, "Is anyone going to describe the pain and viscera in intense, obsessive detail?" and not even wait

*Shrek voice* she doesn't even get the birthing stick

It's gotta be super dramatic, to really tease the audience with the idea that Clear Sky might lose a third pregnant wife for his pain.

Star Flower has been put through such INTENSE torment to make Clear Sky feel bad and rally the cats to come together to help him out that it's taken me out of it completely.

Gray Wing also realizes he's been thinking about Star Flower too much, while she's bleeding out and giving birth several weeks early after escaping Slash's Torment Nexus, so he takes a moment to rotate his brother around in his head for a bit.

"He'd been so panicked about Star Flower that he hadn't thought about his brother," who is apparently going to get set upon by a band of Slash's angry rogues all alone in this fantasy daydream Gray Wing has conjured up in his head.

Like, apparently Clear Sky is going to leave the meeting with Slash, get told about the secret plan to rescue Star Flower which was happening concurrently (already happened; we saw this), then jump up and run from what everyone's told him, bolt towards a camp he doesn't know the location of, and a patrol of Slash's warriors are going to find him?

ok.

Anyway then all the women come together to midwife for Star Flower.

And then Clear Sky and Star Flower cuddle around the new kits and act all cute. The "pure love" in Clear Sky's eyes is focused on, everyone recommends he takes extra good care of his premature kits, etc. He's So Totally Changed Now, through the magic of wife and babies.

All I'm thinking about is how he kills one of these children later, by refusing to allow Acorn Fur to complete her training and throwing a tantrum about how "SkyClan doesn't ask for help unless we have no choice!" when she tells him she can't treat his son's fox-inflicted mauling alone.

One more patented brother moment between Clear Sky and Gray Wing

I'm just gonna be honest, man... I hear from a LOT of people that this tugs at their heartstrings, so maybe I just don't "get it." But this WHOLE series long, Gray Wing has pissed himself over how Clear Sky can't have possibly "changed that much" from when they were children, won't accept that he's a child-beating and woman-slaughtering tyrant, IMMEDIATELY jumps to his defense at every turn even when it's ridiculous, and here's the payoff.

Hugging and sniffing his Dear Brother and having a flashback to them being babies at their mother's breast, secure in the knowledge he was right all along.

That every time he downplayed abuse, shoved people towards a situation where they'd be in danger, or prevented others from recognizing Clear Sky as the threat he was, he was correct that Clear Sky, in contrast to the EEEVIL rogues, was a good boy. Nothing about Clear's behavior has actually changed besides having MORE children to endanger.

This is chapter SIX of the LAST BOOK and we already saw Clear Sky using abuse tactics earlier to try and manipulate Thunder into doing what he wants.

So, I can't sympathize with the "heartwarming" reaction. "Ohh it's so sweet that the dear brothers are having flashbacks to when they were 6" I cannot relate. Idk how you can watch AMVs of this without wanting to set them both on fire. Thunder should get a restraining order.

how the natm dnd campaign went

i ran a natm dnd campaign, “Night of the Worms”. a bag of gummi worms got opened and the magic brought them to life. we just wrapped up the story, here’s some highlights:

immediately became a competition between the two characters who were on either side of the american revolution and despised one another. being mean the whole time. endless entertainment

one player adopted a gummi worm and named it after their character’s mom

said character then proceeded to break their fuckgin leg

one got kicked so hard in the balls that he was fired across the diorama hall and landed perfectly on his feet in another diorama

the rogue seduced a worm, proceeded to break its heart, it wiggled sadly and got sugar in their shoes

arguing pair proceeded to teach the heartbroken thing cannibalism. they had been eating their kills

adopted worm made another worm ally by becoming a mated pair with it. player was very proud of their child for finding love

arguing pair adopted the heartbroken worm and named it shrek for its green head.

at almost sunrise the arguing pair admitted that they wanted to be husbands. this is natm, we’re weak for enemies to lovers in this house. in this case, enemies to nemeses. it was wondrous

they all got some vegetable soup from an npc. the worms enjoyed the potato chunks

all in all, fun campaign story. i’ll run Worms again someday, if anyone wants to do it

Does anyone else notice that Terry rogues gallery are much quieter compared to Bruce's. When I say by quite I mean that Terry roges aren't that out there as Bruce if you get what I mean. While yes some of them have some sort of a gimmick like the og gallery. Like ink being ink like to do stuff and Shrek using sound waves. But even then it's not that much. If you get what I'm saying. Even the main villain of season 1 never really tried to get his name out there. Yes there are exceptions but for the most part Like they don't really want to be seen. (Thought no offense to the og gallery. Some of them try to not be seen) thought I'm mostly going off of the Dcau and not comics but it's just something I notice

Lore time: in my shrek 3 they find godmother's wand which Gwynn repurposes as a rapier as she fights against tyranny :D

Technically not a collectors but a fashion line called well, Dashin' Fashion. The gimmick is highwaymen/masked rogues. Such a description fits Gwynn perfectly. For the body I used a Pocahontas and jasmine. The hair i used a photo I found on Google of different curly ponytail styles and settled on this one. Like previous mockups all the outfits or mashed from stuff I found off walmart and scamazon. I forgot to draw her burn marks in some 🤦🏾 so imagine it to be makeup.

Her palette includes various shades of purple to contrast Rho's pink and white. I made two versions because I couldn't decide which outfit should be official. I also had Charming in mind since they're love interests and all I thought they should match but still look unique from each other. And true to shrek this is meant to be a parody of Bratz GNO. Gwynn's idea of a girl's night out is robbing capitalist pigs.

Icons of Artie and Rho

Found a cute little picrew and made artie from shrek 3 and my oc Rhodanthe. Artie's outfit is inspired by the one seen in scrapped concept art. He'd have his abilities from the video game. Rho has magical talent from studying under Merlin during his time exiled from Camelot. I went for a softer sleepy look. Uuugh love these two So much!
