And upon reaching the end getting 'promoted' to a better piece #In the case of checkers: getting crowned as a King. In chess: a Queen or other piece.#Baldr's goal was to get Vidar to summon Kingdom Hearts. And in a way become a 'king'.#Baldr 'captures' the pieces of the upperclassmen and clears the way for Vidar (thus why the bottom pieces are silhouetted black)#Vidar's path is paved with the deaths of his friends #Vali and Vala are of course at Vidar's side but it is Vidar who Baldr is targeting with his manipulation and schemes #khdr spoilers

Waning Crescent Over Vermont - I hiked up Mt. Ascutney for the sunrise a few days ago. And while I waited in the dim light, I watched the waning crescent moon rise. This is the lowest illumination phase of the moon (1%) before the new moon. These are the types of photographs that don’t really translate to small digital screens, they love to be printed big.
