no one asked for my waningcrescent opinions but i’m posting them anyway. theyre the saddest women ive ever seen

how sliver’s death, and the others’ refusal to let her rest, was in a way what destroyed moon herself and sent pebbles, her own little brother, to his death too. how sad it is that moon wanted them to leave her alone from the start, but they wouldn’t listen, and she was the one who lost everything because of it.

how she must have helplessly argued - please, friends, don’t desecrate her memory like this, she’s done enough, let her rest - against those who were too caught up in their own desperation to consider it. as if moon was the only one to remember sliver of straw herself, not just the iterator who gave the triple affirmative and vanished. as if she was the only one left who cared about her.

nothing much has come out of it, except tragedy. except the certain death of her and her brother and who knows how many others. all without the closure of peace afterward.

The moon was already high and I shout it in the morning light. I love shooting the waning crescent (44%) as it gives you a lot of details in even one single shot. Quick daymoon shots this morning… my excitement over Halide is somewhat muted, as it has a hard time focusing on the Moon’s disc either manually or automatically. The normal camera did the best, first shot, but it took some poking to get the second shot with the telephoto. Waning Crescent Over Vermont - I hiked up Mt. Ascutney for the sunrise a few days ago. And while I waited in the dim light, I watched the waning crescent moon rise. This is the lowest illumination phase of the moon (1%) before the new moon. These are the types of photographs that don’t really translate to small digital screens, they love to be printed big. I've been reflecting tonight. My life has changed a lot in the last year or so. I finally moved from being a part-time museum educator to a full-time position. I got engaged, then married a kind, gentle, loving partner. I'm in love and excited for the life we're building together. I'm exploring my spirituality in new ways and with new folks. It's quite a lot of changes for a steady, deliberate Taurus, but they're all good ones. I only have a small following here, but if you were wondering where Drawing Down Lore has been up to while I've been off Instagram... well, that's what I've been doing.

Up until now I've been very uptight and nervous about how I use this platform so every post has felt like a chore. I'm going to try to stop doing that, and just be. I want to stop stressing out about it and just share what I'm doing. I'm not a carefully curated, well put-together sort of person and I don't want to pretend to be. I've thought about doing Livestreams from time to time to chat with all of you but makeup is a frickin' chore... Thoughts?

Many of these slip through Apple’s defenses by design, or they exploit a “zero-day” security flaw Apple hasn’t been able to patch. New instances of macOS malware are discovered every year. These security features all help protect your Mac from attack, but no platform is immune. If you restart your Mac and execute a Terminal command, you can disable SIP but most people should leave it alone.

Probably the last waning crescent daymoon I can get before it's too near the sun and the skyglow is basically the same brilliance. You can pick out Grimaldi and Brygius again -- those are easy landmarks -- but everything else is blue and blurry, Oceanus Procellarum a little darker than the rest. Yesterday a beautiful soul asked me if my deck includes the phases of the Moon.
My deck does not include that so I thought about other decks she could get. And I thought about the beautiful “Arcana of Astrology” which includes signs, planets and Moon phases.
I realized that the cards of this deck are exactly the size of mine. 
So I tried something I’ve never tried before : I mixed the Moon phases cards in my deck and I shuffled and let the jumpers come out ! Here’s what I got ✨
In the “Arcana of Astrology” the key word for the card of the waning gibbous 🌖 is 𝕤𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘.
An invite to share our emotions, our feelings, our sensations with our relations, not necessarily the closed ones, our circles, our groups.
We have been told a lot that it’s cool to share our victories, our pride, our best ideas, to say “I’m good” in an automatic way.
But sometimes it could be cool to share our failures, our shame, our bad ideas, and to put in words our sensations, our emotions, our inner waters… with people with whom we don't usually share this kind of things.
