Hello there! Not a request, I was just wondering. You love Jerza, I saw that, but when you first watched Fairy Tail, did you first shipped Erza with Simon shortly before it was with Jellal? Because that happened to me and while I love Jerza, I loved Simon too and I wouldn't have mind at first if he ended up with Erza. But well, he died tragically pretty soon and Jellal got his redemption, so...

Hello! Thank you so much for the ask! 🥰 Aww...poor Simon! Bless his heart. 💕 He was such a good person, and I really loved his character. I've been rewatching some of the Tower of Heaven arc recently and really remembering just how wonderful he was. 🥺 I can definitely see the appeal of a Simon and Erza ship. He had a lot of genuine care and devotion for her which is very sweet, and I think that the sacrifices that he made for her are incredible and very admirable.

Overall, I agree with a lot of what you said, and, like you, I also would not have minded if he and Erza had ended up together (if circumstances were different and that's what they both decided they wanted for themselves). However, I wouldn't say I shipped that first, for a couple of reasons which I'll discuss under the cut because of spoilers.

(Warnings: Spoilers for Fairy Tail).

(1) I didn't experience Fairy Tail in what I would I consider the "normal way." I actually watched some of it out of order including the entirity of the Tower of Heaven arc. I also had a lot of spoilers just in general going into the series, one which was that Jerza was an endgame (canon?) ship so I at least figured Jellal was headed towards a some sort of redemption arc somehow even though I had absolutely no clue what was going on with him until (I don't even know...) the Oracion Seis arc? Edolas? Somewhere in there... (Those spoilers would have probably been helpful, but I didn't actually know anything about his arc except that he and Erza would eventually end up together so there was a lot of theorizing and trying to make sense of that). But I think knowing that he would eventually end up with Erza, I gave him more of the benefit of the doubt than I would have otherwise, and I was always really fascinated with Jellal as a character. He was definitely one of the ones I was most interested in, especially early on, but I made a lot of jokes about how I didn't understand him at all.

(2) On kind of this same point, I had a very strange and compartmentalized view of Jellal and kind of saw Jerza as multiple different ships (in a way) because I really had this "there are actually several different people who we think are all Jellal but are not actually the same person" theory. I really ran with that for a while, and my sister and I were actually (jokingly) keeping track of the many different "Jellals." We got up to, I think, 7 or 8 different Jellals in total by a certain point, and we would make jokes about it like: "Oh I could imagine Jellal #6 and Erza together, but Jellal #3 is bad news. I don't ship that!" 🤣 My favorite iteration of Jerza at that point was probably Erza x Jellal #1 (that is the Jellal from Erza's flashbacks/childhood before he was brainwashed and whatever his adult counterpart was, of course). That said, my personal favorites of all of the Jellals (besides Jellal #1) were always Jellal #4 (that's Mystogan) and Jellal #7 (Tiny Mystogan who was such a good big brother to Wendy! So precious! My son!! 💙), but I never shipped Edo!Jellal (Mystogan) with Erza Scarlet. (Now Edolas Jerza is totally different story and I adore that ship but I digress...) Here are some actual screenshots just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about and to prove that I’m not just kidding… 😅😂

(A/N: Clearly some of my theories were incorrect 😂😅)

Of course, ultimately, there were not actually 7 different "Jellals," but I did feel very vindicated when it was revealed that I was at least partially right and that Jellal and Mystogan were in fact two separate people. But I think having this very compartmentalized and fractured view of Jellal as a character made it much easier for me to get behind the idea of Jellal and Erza as a ship (in a very weird way). In most basic terms, it was very much, "I ship her with the good Jellal not the evil one" in my mind because I genuinely thought they were separate people 😂😅 (A/N: I really am a goofball sometimes and my theories can be very out there...)

(3) I am not a usually a big fan of relationships that feel one-sided in general. In this case, for instance, it is clear that Simon has romantic feelings for Erza, but she is still kind of wrestling with these complicated feelings she has for Jellal and dealing with a lot of her own personal trauma that is preventing her from being ready and even wanting to pursue a romantic relationship at that point. That isn't to say that she couldn't have grown to love Simon had he survived, but at that particular moment in their lives (during the Tower of Heaven arc), it really felt like an unrequited love situation to me. It is usually a much harder sell for me to get behind those kinds of ships in general, and it definitely takes a while (much longer than we were given with Simon, unfortunately) if there isn't some (obvious) indication that that other person is at least open to idea of returning that affection. It's usually just a personal preference for me to kind of take a "wait and see" approach with those kinds of ships before jumping on board and actually shipping it. Unfortunately, Simon's arc was cut short, so I didn't really get the time to make up my mind about that ship before the story kind of made up my mind for me (by axing him and removing him as an option). So it is really only upon reflection and looking back that I truly appreciated what could have been between them.

But ultimately, I love Simon, Erza, and Jellal as characters, and I want nothing but good things for them. Obviously what happened to Simon is incredibly tragic, and I think in a certain way, we'll just never know what could have been and there is a tragedy in that. But I think in my mind, I prefer their friendship, and I do have lingering questions about whether or not Erza would have ever returned his romantic interest in her even if he had survived. (I can almost guarantee you, however, that no one would ship that harder than Jellal--my poor little guilt-ridden, self-deprecating boy. I can just see him urging Erza to pursue Simon instead of him because he is the type of man who is worthy of her (at least in Jellal's eyes). That said, I do not like love triangles/shapes so I am actually kind of glad this didn't happen).

Simon wasn't fond of the idea of going to "therapy" he thought it was a waste of time and opening up to random people wasn't his thing. Until he met his fiancé Erza she was a sweet and kind gentle soul literally the complete opposite of him. Simon rather to talk about his problems preferred to bottle all of his emotions and thoughts deep down inside of him not letting anyone know anything he experienced at work as a private investigator.

There he stood in front of his fiancés office she had worked as a therapist for 6 years helping others overcome their mental and social problems something Simon couldn't do. She had helped him overcome the traumatic events that happened in his youth years with an abusive father and a drug-addict brother. He was so grateful that Erza had come into his life without her Simon would have gone down in a dark path.

Simon knocks on the door and hears a gentle voice telling him to come in he opens the door to find Erza on her desk typing up some documents on her laptop. On her desk are a picture of her and Simon on a trip to the Bahamas and a vase of white lily flowers her favorite Her office was spacious and clean he knew that Erza loves to have a clean work environment even at home her office had a calm and inviting space. From the calming colors on the walls to the comfortable seating arrangements, everything about the environment was designed to put her clients at ease even him.

Ezra looks up from the computer to see her fiance, Simon, she smiles happily and gets up from her chair walking around the desk to hug him and Simon opens his arms back to hug her, she was so tiny compared to him his bulky arms she often teased Simon about them on how their so cozy and warm around her keeping her safe

"What brings you in dear"

"I wanted to talk about something that happened on the last investigation I went on in Romania."

Ezra knew that something happened ever since he came back from that investigation, he had been mumbling crazy things in his sleep, getting up in the middle of the night staring at the wall with no emotion, and often dissociating from reality. She didn't want to pressure him into making her tell him what happened till he was ready and here he was ready.

Erza leans down and places a quick kiss on Simon's cheek while cupping his cheek and giving him a smile that indicates everything will be alright.

"we'll get through this si, take a seat on the couch" Simon sits downs on the couch facing Erza who sits on her chair, and pulls out a notepad and pen clicking it to make sure that it has ink to write. she crosses her leg over the other sitting in a lady-like pose.

Fairy Tail Carry On (by Rainbow Rowell) AU

I know that the characterisations are not same but think about it:

Magic. (Well at least there is one basic similarity)

Natsu being Simon. I mean, Natsu in his END form with the wings like dragon and tail which Simon has in the end.

Vampire Gray as Baz. Dark hair, pale skin, head over heels in love with Natsu. Loves to torment him.

Penelope seems like a combination of Lucy and Erza to me. Nerdy, brave, and in an excellent platonic relationship with the protagonist.

Zeref as The Mage. I mean, it's given. The man is obsessed about The Chosen One and making him come to power and Zeref is obsessed about reviving his brother. He will be perfect for the role.

Agatha. Hmm, I am still not sure about who will be fit for her. If Penelope is Erza then she can be Lucy. But I'll have to think about it.

Jellal as Micah, in that case.

Simon loves food. Natsu does too. Do you see what I mean?

Professor Bunce as Irene. Hella powerful.

Three Loves: Erza Scarlet

Came across this today. And the more I read, the more I thought.... this matches Erza to a T. n______n

Just to clarify - in this case, I think they "grew apart" because of Jellal banishing Erza from the Tower of Heaven, but in fact they never stopped thinking about one another. Another thing that makes Simon click with this type of love for Erza is that though she was immensely sad with his death, she didn't quite.... reciprocate him in the romantic love type of way. He certainly loved her that way, but sadly he could see that Erza seemed closer to Jellal in their youth, and so he never said anything until it was too late...

I don't know about you, but this sounds an awful lot like what happened after Jellal hurt and betrayed Erza during the Tower of Heaven incident in their youth. Erza became closed off, wary of others. It took years for her guild to get her to open up again, and even then, when Jellal reappeared in her life again and again, she'd always regress because she dwells so much on their shared past, and thinks about how Jellal is so very "precious" to her because of that shared past.

Despite how much pain he caused not only her, but so many others. Against all odds, she sticks up for him when no one else will.

They should both grow from this - remain friends if they must, but never more than that - instead of dancing around each other and possibly entertaining a relationship that would not work very well, but, that's how Mashima portrayed Jerza in canon. There was never any character progression despite the "maturity" between the two of them.

If we're purely going by canon, all Natza is really missing are some romantic undertones. Despite what some might  Are Natsu and Erza very similar to begin with? Certainly. Many people even find the similarities boring, and chalk it up to them just being "siblings". Still, setting all labels aside, you can't deny that Natsu and Erza are very close to one another because they understand one another. They've helped each other grow, and they serve as each other's measuring stick for reaching greater heights in becoming stronger as warriors.

Think about this line for a minute: "They look nothing like your usual crush types, but you get lost in their eyes daily." It can be said that Erza is, usually, very mature, and she doesn't put up with Natsu's rambunctiousness. However, you get panels like these....

And like these...

And concern like this....

And trust like this...

Everything but the romance is in place. Despite being a boy who didn't know any better, who she took under her wing when they were kids, this guy grew on her. Got her to loosen up. Had the most profound impact on her out of anyone - Guildmates, friends outside the guild, you name it.

And this love for Natsu only grows stronger over time - it doesn't diminish, no matter how much he might grate on her nerves at times. She eventually looks at his scrappy nature and poetically proclaims how Natsu turns his opponent's energy against them; the more they fight, the stronger he hits back in return.

So does she want to marry and have a family with him? Going by canon, not yet, but its potential is never squashed. Besides which, canon isn't everything, despite what many fans lead you to believe. Natsu has the possibility of being that third type of love for Erza - at least from what I've seen. And I'll never be ashamed for shipping these two.

Jerza Week, Day 7

This is late again too and I'm sorry! But I'm glad I got out a piece I loved and thank you to everyone who supported my works for this week! I was actually pretty nervous as I had never written Erza or Jellal much before this week. This one doesn't focus on their relationship as much, but Jellal's with my daughter for them. I think Jellal would make a great, loving father, but that he'd also have a lot of baggage that comes with the things he's done in the past.

Summary: Jellal and Erza's youngest daughter asks about her namesake, opening up old wounds and guilt for her father.

Jellal had never planned to keep the man he had been for all those years a secret from his children or those of his friends. What had happened to him was common knowledge across the continent, as well known as how strong a mage he was. The Tower of Heaven had hurt a lot of people; even some who hadn't been enslaved in the tower, such as Yukino or Kagura. Surely, his children would meet people one day who knew who he was and hated him, and he never wanted them to have to find out the things he had done from someone else.

Still, he had been caught off guard one day when his youngest daughter asked him about who she was named after.

"Well," Jellal started slowly, after he had guided six-year-old Simone Fernandes to the couch of the small home that he and Erza had bought shortly after she discovered her pregnancy with their older daughter. He scratched his chin, looking for the right words to say as his thoughts settled from the chaos they'd been thrown into when she asked. "What made you wonder?"

"Auntie Kagura mentioned it the last time I was with her and Auntie Millianna," she answered honestly, kicking her feet. "She said that I was very smart for my age, and that it reminded her exactly of my namesake. But when I asked her what she meant, she only told me to ask you, daddy."

Jellal let out a breath. The words had probably slipped out of Kagura's mouth out of joy, not bitterness. It was clearly a mistake, and she'd remedied it by telling Simone to ask him. Still, his stomach churned nauseously at the thought of his daughter's namesake. Yes, it had been years and years ago, and yes, he'd been brainwashed at the time, and yes, Erza, Millianna, even Kagura had forgiven him. But he still saw the man haunting his dreams, forever reminding him that he could never truly undo every trauma he had inflicted.

"You were named after a man named Simon Mikasuchi," he explained to her slowly, thinking out every word very carefully. "He is Aunt Kagura's older brother, and a very close friend to me and your mother."

Her eyes sparkled with interest. "How come I've never met him?"

"He... passed away. Some time ago, long before I even joined Fairy Tail."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Simone answered, and she was silent for a long time. Long enough that he thought the subject was over; until she spoke again. "What was he like?"

"Well, he was very strong; he was a wizard, too, just like your mother and I, and Aunt Kagura. He was loyal and protective, and extremely intelligent. And he was never easily fooled," Jellal chuckled a bit, thinking of the next thing he would say. "And he loved your mother just like I do. If he was still around, I might've had to fight him for her."

Simone giggled too, crawling into her father's lap and hugged him around the torso. "But you still would've won, right daddy?"

He brushed his fingers through her dark purple hair and nodded to himself. "Mmhm. No one loves your mother as much as I do. And besides, if she didn't pick me, then you and Scarlet would be someone else! You wouldn't want that, would you?"

Simone stuck out her tongue. "I wouldn't mind if Scarlet was someone else."

He laughed again as he gently scolded her for saying that about her sister, although on the inside he was cracking at the seams. Memories of that day flashed in his mind, sounds and voices and images that made his skin burn. He hugged Simone a little tighter, hoping his answers had satisfied her for now.

"What happened to him, daddy?"

Again, he never wanted to keep the things he had done a secret from Scarlet or Simone, but it felt wrong to tell his daughter at this age that he had once killed someone by his own hand, who had also meant a lot to him. Simone was extremely intelligent for her age, just like her sister, but he was certain that she wouldn't understand. She'd be afraid of her own father. He and Erza had only recently begun to explain the Tower of Heaven to Scarlet, who was three years older than Simone, and Jellal had just gotten to the part where he had been brainwashed. Even though Simone was too young, he didn't want to lie to her either.

"Simon was killed," he answered, cringing a little at his own words. They themselves brought so many dark memories swirling to the surface. "Someone else very close to your mother, they were not themselves and in a moment of dark madness they killed him."

His daughter was silent for a moment, frightening Jellal. She seemed to mull this information over as he spiraled further into his depressing memories.

At the end of the day, he had only ever confronted his feelings over the matter once. He had tried to atone for his actions by destroying the Nirvana with a self-destruction circle, or by fighting evil while part of Crime Sorciere. It had been enough for many others. Enough for Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and everyone else in Fairy Tail, who had agreed to protecting him during the Grand Magic Games when he disguised himself as his Edolas counterpart, Jellal Mystogan; for the allies of the people that he and Meredy cared about, such as Lyon from Lamia Scale or Sting, Rogue, and Yukino of Sabertooth; for even Kagura and Millianna, both who had previously vowed to personally see to his death; for Sho and Wally too, who had been just as close to Simon as the rest of them; for the former members of the Oracion Seis, who had all suffered under his madness at the Tower of Heaven but yet had been inspired enough by his work to join Crime Sorciere, of which he was eternally grateful; for Queen Hisui, who knew of his crimes and yet pardoned him and the others for their efforts in bringing peace back to the kingdom and the Magic Council who had agreed with her and even eventually reappointed him to the Ten Wizard Saints.

"What happened to the person who killed Auntie Kagura's brother?"

Jellal couldn't help it, he avoided his daughter's gaze. "Your mother, and Aunt Kagura and Aunt Millianna forgave him. Because he tried very hard to make up for what he'd done, and they accepted it."

When Simone's small hand grabbed his, he looked up to her. And he realized in that moment that she was so intelligent for her age that she had figured it out without him telling her. She knew he, her father, was the one who had killed another man who loved her mother, the man that her parents had named her after.

"But he's not mad anymore, right daddy?" She asked softly, hugging him tightly again. "He's himself now right?"

"Yes, sweetheart."

"Then I think that he needs to forgive himself. If he isn't the same as before, I think Auntie Kagura's brother would want that too."

Jellal looked down at his young daughter once more while she buried her face against him. There was no doubt in his mind that she knew. Kagura was right, Simone was quiet but incredibly intelligent, just like the man he had once known. They had named her sister Scarlet Belserion Fernandes, and true to Erza's history and heritage, their eldest daughter was a magical prodigy. But Simone, Simone Mika Fernandes, took after both of her namesakes, her aunt and her brother. Jellal was proud of her intelligence. Surely she could grow up into a formidable mage all her own.

And maybe one day, for his little girl, he could finally do what everyone else had and forgive himself.

Jerza Week Day 6: Homecoming

Hey, everybody. So, this is a bit late, but I wasn't really inspired for it until today. 

In any case, here we go with Day 6: Homecoming. You can consider it a sequel to day 4, since I included the same children from that one. 

Title: Always come home

Pairings: Jerza, Jellal & Scarlet Fernandes, Jellal & Simon Fernandes, minor Jellal & Meredy

Summary: While Erza's away on a long mission, Jellal is left to look after their children alone, which proves to be difficult. When they start worrying that she might not come back, he reassures them that when it comes to Fairy Tail, they always find a way home.

It was nearly 12 o'clock in the household of Jellal and Erza Fernandes, yet the impatient little girl refused to sleep. He had tried everything, even singing to her-something which she only laughed at-but she remained wide awake.

Just like her mother, Scarlet Fernandes wasn't one to sleep easily. At the age of 4, as she loved reminding everyone, she still never slept through the night. Usually she would wake up early in the morning and only went to bed around 10; unlike her older brother, Simon, who slept at 8 and woke up only at 8 am.

Having given up on putting her to sleep, Jellal brought her to the living room and sat down on the couch with her by his side and they played together for a while before Scarlet's attention was focused on had her newest toy; a talking doll that had once belonged to her late aunt Ultear and had been given to her by Meredy as a birthday present.

While the little girl played with it, Jellal took the opportunity to get started on Lucy's newest book, which had been released a few weeks before. The blonde celestial spirit had given copies to her friends even before the launching, but due to his busy schedule lately, he hadn't been able to start it yet.

Since Erza was currently away with Team Natsu on a long mission-she'd been gone for almost two weeks now- he had been overwhelmed with the kids; despite the fact that Juvia and Meredy came to help almost every day.

So now that Scarlet was quietly playing with her doll and Simon was already asleep, he finally had time to read the book. Or so he thought.

Just as he reached the beginning of the 2nd chapter, there was the sound of crying, making him sigh.

"Is that Simon?" Scarlet asked and he nodded.

"I'll be right back, okay?" The little girl nodded before her attention turned back to the doll. She pulled the string on its back and he could hear it say "Mamma" repeatedly while he walked towards Simon's room.

Reaching the dark room, Jellal turned on the hallway light so that he wouldn't trip on the multiple toys that the little boy usually left scattered around the it despite his and Erza's constant attempts to have him stow them away.

Opening the door as quietly as possible, he could see the silhouette of his son trashing in the bed while crying. A nightmare, clearly.

Sighing once again, he made his way into the room and reached the bed with careful steps.

"Mamma!" Simon screamed once he was close enough and his heart tightened.

Whenever Erza would go on a long mission, it would be like this. Since the little boy was deeply connected with her, despite the fact he got along with Jellal as well, he would become very worried when she was away and constantly have nightmares.

Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he began rubbing circles on Simon's back, hoping it would calm the boy down before he woke up. Thankfully, it did the trick and soon enough his body quieted down, except for the constant sobs.

Jellal carefully picked the boy up, bringing him in his arms and embracing him tightly. "It's alright, son. It's just a dream." Simon grasped at his shirt and continued to cry, but soon enough his small green eyes opened and he pulled away.

"Daddy?" The young man smiled at his sleepy face before nodding.

"I'm here." The little boy sobbed once again. "Where's mamma?"

"She's on a mission, remember?" He frowned.

"But what if she doesn't come back?" Jellal shook his head. "She will. She always comes back, doesn't she?"

Simon still seemed unsure."I want her back now." The former nodded.

"Yeah, I do too. But we need to be patient and wait." The boy's frown deepened.

"I don't like waiting." Jellal laughed; that was an understatement.

Simon was much like himself in that sense; he too hated waiting for Erza to come back. The thought of every terrible thing that might happen to her would make him have trouble sleeping as well, but his nightmares weren't be as frequent as his son's.

"How about we play a game while we wait?" He suggested, hoping it would distract the boy.

"What game?" Simon stared at him curiously, but before he could reply, there was a loud scream and then crying, making him quickly get up from the bed.

"Why is Scarlet crying?" He didn't have an answer to that, so he just gave his son a quick nod before darting out of the room; the little boy following a moment later.

Upon reaching the living room, Jellal spotted his youngest child lying on the floor by the book shelf. Her scarlet hair was a mess, having come out of the braids he had done earlier that night-and very well in fact, it seemed he had an aptitude for hairstyles- and the long sleeved, blue nightgown that Juvia had given her as a birthday present was torn.

"Hey, what happened here?" He quickly ran to her side and scooped the crying girl in his arms, bringing her back to the couch.

"It hurts, daddy." She was rubbing the back of her head and when he touched it, he could feel a bump.

"What did you do?" Simon asked, giving her a disapproving look while Jellal gently caressed her head.

"I sorry, daddy. I just wanted to see the book." A frown appeared on his face. "What book?"

"Auntie Lucy's book. I saw you put it on the shelf and I wanted to read it." Scarlet explained.

"Why didn't you ask me to give it to you?" He asked while turning her around on his lap so she'd face him.

"Because mamma always say I need to rely on myself, can't always ask someone to help me." It was true; Erza always encouraged their children to be more independent, specially Scarlet who was so much like her mother in both appearance and personality.

"I miss her." Simon said and she nodded.

"When is mamma coming back, daddy?" Jellal sighed once again.

"I don't know, but it shouldn't take her long to finish her mission. She'll be back before you know it." He had been repeating these words for the past few weeks, so understandably they didn't have the same effect as the first few times.

"You always say that." Simon frowned and crossed his arms.

"It's not the same without mamma." Scarlet added sadly.

"I know, sweetheart. But there's really nothing we can do." He wanted to comfort them and reassure them that Erza would be back soon, but even he didn't know if that was true. And he couldn't deny, he missed her. A lot.

"We could go after her." The oldest child suggested.

"Yeah, we could surprise her. Mamma would like that!" The little girl agreed, excited.

"I'm afraid we can't do that. This mission is dangerous, remember?" It was strange; having children certainly wasn't easy, but Jellal would've never expected the most difficult part to be preventing them from joining on missions.

But after all, his children were also Erza's, so they had inherited their mother's desire for going on adventures and defeating enemies.

"That's why we should go there, daddy! So we can protect mamma." Simon said before concentrating. Soon enough, a few small swords appeared around him, making Scarlet giggle.

"You're too much like your mother." Jellal shook his head.

"Can we go, daddy? Please?" The little girl pleaded, staring at him with those big brown eyes.

"Sorry, sweetheart." He shook his head. "Now it's getting really late, how about you try sleeping again?" She pouted.

"I don't wanna sleep." Simon nodded in agreement.

"Me neither." Giving a defeated sigh, Jellal searching his brain for ideas on how to distract them.

"Can you tell a story, daddy?" The youngest child pleaded.

Relieved that she'd suggested it, he nodded before patting the spot next to him on the couch so that Simon could lie there. The young boy wasted no time lying against the cushions while Jellal adjusted Scarlet so that her head would rest against his chest. He thought for a while about a story to be told, until an idea came to mind.

Having their full attention, he began telling the tale of a time in which he too wondered when Erza would ever come home; back when she'd disappeared on Tenrou Island. Of course, he changed the story so it would be appropriate for his children and, when it came to the ending, he finished it with the same words Erza had spoken once they were reunited: "When it comes to Fairy Tail, we always find a way to come home."

Nightmares or Insane? Part 2

Part 1

His mission was to apprehend a British doctor who had smuggled money out of a private company he was associated with, easy money and it would be his last investigation too, before marrying Erza and leaving London to start a new life in the states.

Simon was Hiking on top of a mountain trail following a tour guide who he had hired for his private investigation to guide him through the forest. Simon cared on a small backpack a tape recorder, binoculars and a couple of cigars, and a pistol just in case his life was in danger. He continued to walk following closely behind the tour guide he could see a beautiful view of the mountains and the greenery terrain with its blue clear skies he could also see a stunning view of trees that surround the forest.

Simon took out his tape recorder and pressed it recording the following events of his investigations, he talked into the tape describing what he saw in his surroundings and how his trip was from London to the forests of Romania. Halfway through the recording, Simon grew frustrated as his tapes constantly break in the middle of recording but didn't mind throwing it as he brought along around thirty more tapes.

"Just wait till we get to the other side, then you can chatter all you want in that damn tape." simon smirked as he saw the tour guide getting fed up with him talking.

"There notes, help me from time to time."

Both men kept on walking up the trail as pure silence was heard between not sharing a word and only company by the sounds of nature echoing through the forest.

"So you a writer." the awkward silence was broken when the tour guide was curiosity got the best of him he wanted to know after all what he was doing in deep parts of the forest. for all he know the forest was unsettling something about it had something sinister and others would put it "cursed" but he didn't want to frighten Simon.

Before Simon could respond, they come to a stop in front of a number of impaled heads that had screws bored into them that were stained with dried blood they look odd-mechanical on the stick the heads were impaled lied a sign saying "Fuga" in Romania.

"Then what happened Si?"

"He started yelling in his native language like crazy and ditched me."

"Tell me what else you saw?"

Simon continued to walk down the path ignoring what he just had saw he then sees the trail leading down back to the forest having no choice but to follow and see where it leads, As he walks through the forest he could feel like someone is watching him but from where he thought to himself.

 Simon glances up, and he notices that the sky has become overcast and dismal, giving the forest a depressing atmosphere. It began to get a bit windy luckily he had brought a jacket that warmed him right up he then looks up ahead seeing a ditch Simon could feel that what he is about to encounter isn't good.

He takes a deep breath preparing for what he is about an encounter. He could feel his heart begin to pulsate faster with each step he took and his eyes never lost sight of what is in front of him he looked down the ditch to find several horribly mutilated human corpses that were piled onto each other somebodies had libs removed others had their organs removed their eyes along with it, he could smell the stench of rotten flesh coming from the bodies.

Simon turned aside to catch his breath and get control of himself since he could feel himself gagging from the stench and was in complete disbelief. Who would torment these people in this manner? Not even he could want such suffering on his enemies.

In an effort to avoid seeing the bodies again, he gets into his rucksack, pulls out his tape recorder, and starts documenting what he sees. He describes everything giving further specifics about what he observed. He thinks that the evidence he has acquired will help this fictitious "doctor" and bring him to justice. Simon then loses concentration after hearing rustling in the bushes. That person who had been watching him could be felt again.

" that person did you ever see them"

"no"

"Along your journey, Si what else did you encounter. More bodies I assume?"

He wishes Erza hadn't been right, but he had to share more information about what had transpired during that trip because he didn't want her to believe he was crazy or go through a mental breakdown in front of her. He inhaled deeply and closed his eyes, trying to recall what had occurred that day.

"I arrived at what looks to be an ancient tomb looks to be exactly about 500-600 years old. I found an underground Chamber to be." Simon descends a stone flight of stairs that, given their age, appear to have minor cracks as he speaks into the tape recorder. It appeared as though nobody had visited this area for many years if not centuries.

The walls had some dried moss on them and plants growing into vines in the gaps. Since the light from the outside can't reach, he reaches down to a door and turns on a red stick flare to illuminate his path.

the flare illuminates the room and he sees multiple corpses laying on stone pedestals showing direct signs that these corpses had undergone surgery some corpses had fitted with bizarre mechanical parts as if the corpses were treated as "toys" or turned into "macabre clockwork dolls". he had observed them taking verbal notes in his tape recorder.

Simon then hears loud noises from the next door, he prays mentally that this day isn't his last all he wanted was to go home to Erza. his stunning and gentle soon-to-be wife, he wanted nothing more than to see her smile that always cheered him up when he had an awful day at work.

His thoughts are interrupted when he feels something grab his forearm as he approaches the next door and quickly turns around to witness a wave of the various corpses that had been placed on the pedestals spring to life, groaning and growling as they charge toward him.

Simon kicked those who approached him and swung at a corpse in the face; luckily, they don't bite. He didn't want to become one of those. He wanted to get his gun out of his bag, but he didn't want to alert the other corpses that were likely in the graveyard lurking.

"You saw them come to life?" Erza was a little perplexed, but she remained emotionless since she didn't want Simon to get the wrong impression or believe that she thought he was crazy. She wanted to support Simon in overcoming his nightmares, but she can't help but believe that if what he saw was real, the best course of action would have been to listen to him out and most likely use reason.

"Si are you postive you saw them come to life."

Simon was frustrated as he continued to talk about it, so he got up from the couch and approached Erza while displaying the scar that one of the corpses left on his arm.

"Look at this Erza, Im not imaging stuff is that enough proof for you!"
