Day 284: Windy (Transformers: Operation Combination)

I found a cute train lady! I was scrolling through Shouki (Trainbot Leader) on TFWiki, and I found a story called “Train Wars” that included nearly every Train Transformer fighting the Fallen in manga form!

Naturally, I had to go through all the train members, and I found Windy! She’s part of the micromaster team “Sixtrain,” and we got her in the US as Midnight Express.

She’s adorable! I want to be friends with a few of my own Trainbot OCs. (Might be a hint for tomorrow’s drawings…)

I've got about 26 different projects I'm working on now. Trying to find a free Minecraft host for a friend, and I've hit page 60 of Google results, I'm making a bunch of mods for that as well, I've got figures I'm working on designing including fucking Monstructor and Sixtrain, a revamp of my site, a STEM workshop for K-8, and I'm trying to figure out how to work with matrix cascades for a protogen helmet. Send help. And more coffee.

dear vector prime, if a single combiner would be made out of male and/or female and/or non-binary transformers at the same time, how would be the gender identity of a combiner decided? also, are there any instances where combiner's components identify as one gender, but combiner itself as the other? (for example: the components are all guys, but the combiner is non-binary)

Mixed-gender combiner teams are comparatively rare, but not entirely unheard of. In most cases—Perceptor, Sixtrain, God Neptune, and some incarnations of Devastator—the combiner derives its gender from the majority of its components, so a four-fifths male team will usually lead to a male combiner. As most combiner teams across the multiverse arrange themselves into odd-numbered groups, this is a rather convenient compromise. 

The second arrangement of which you speak is quite rare, although I understand that one female Devastator who menaced the Crystal City of her universe was formed from one male, two female, and three non-binary Constructicons.

I walked by Radio City Music Hall a couple of times on my way to East Village, Manhattan, NY. We took the Subway there and I can tell you, 6 train is definitely smelly.

Plot idea:   Astrotrain has had one of his rare moments of brilliance, using a combination of a rage virus and other stolen tech to corrupt the powered up “red mode” of Sixtrain, turning the most powerful train combiner into part of his Astro-Force!

Not only that, he succeeded in capturing the micromaster combiner space-shuttle Raker, giving the brainwashed Sixtrain a backup member in case of one of his arms are damaged...and also infected more than half of the Autobot attendants of various train stations! Furthermore, he has mode-locked Omega Supreme into his Alternate mode!

The Autobot combiner team from Japan, the Trainbots have been called into help. But they can’t be everywhere at once!  And Raiden pales before the fury of the berserk Sixtrain!

But is Astrotrain playing with fire? Can he keep control of an army brainwashed using volatile emotions in line?

The combiner Sixliner is on their way, but can Sixliner efficiently aid the Train combiner Raiden against his own brother?

Can the cowardly Autobot Electric train Caboose regain control over the stations and tracks entrusted to them?

Will this end well for anyone?!!

I have way too many projects, but I've been working on getting them organized. Among my future ones, I'll be designing combiners and micromasters from scratch. Sixwing and Sixtrain will be the first Sixcombiners I do (not counting repaint/retools). Liokaiser's 'chestmasters' probably have me the most excited, though, because I've worked out a way for them to have robot and vehicle modes incorporated as well. They'll be roughly micromaster-size, save for Deathsaurus' and Esmeral's companions, who will be Core-class.

I have stuff in order, but like. I really just wanna' make these. Screw the Skyscorchers, Micromasters are fun.

In the Aurex timeline of the Nanocons and the smallest Cybertron, did the Autobots and Decepticons have combiners? Other Aurex timelines feature bot combinations like Perceptor and the Star Saber: are there equivalents on Nanocon Cybertron?

In this reality, combination among the “large” Autobots and Decepticons is not unheard of, but comparatively rare. Sixtrain and Devastator are the most powerful warriors among the Autobots and Decepticons; on this tiny Cybertron, their clashes were devastating enough to reduce entire cities to ruins. Other combiner teams include Sureshock, High Wire and Grindor; the Decepticons employ several Transformers who can combine into shared vehicle modes, such as the villainous Fireshot and Vanquish.  

Indeed, it is far more common for the Nanocons of this universe to combine. Put together, a team of Nanocons can rival a “full-sized” Cybertronian in terms of strength and power, and these powerful Nanocon warriors are sought-after by those independent Nanocons who seek independence from both the Autobots and Decepticons. The Nanocon Bumblebee, for instance, employed Constructicon Maximus and Superion Maximus as security guards while laboring to build the Ark.
