I personally enjoyed your portrayal of Shadow - I'm really tired of his fans acting like he's not allowed to have any flaws (heck, some even get mad when he's given any more silly traits) and it's really soured me on his character. Seeing a portrayal which explored his flaws in a way which still felt in character and kind to him was a good reminder of why I ever liked him in the first place.

Shadow is admittedly a character I didn't like/understand for a while. But I started coming around when I realized he's one of my favorite character tropes, a living weapon trying to become a person and find their place in the world. These types of characters are fascinating to me because they are very flawed people who are trying their best to find themselves in whatever way they can manage. If you like that type of character but never want to see them stumble and fall every now and then, then you are missing the entire point of the character. The struggle to find their identity is the most compelling part, which also explains why I like Surge and Kit (also living weapons) so much as well. Everytime they grow as a person, even if it's just a little, feels like a massive victory and I never get tired of it.

Well there's these from Kui's blog which I have posted on the orc compilation before, you should notice the tallman bones don't really align with his anatomy tho (knees are way too high) but I still think its pretty cool

Phantom's the pretty new ghoul & Ifrit's been round for a while. He's part of the unofficial welcoming committee, he takes a LOT of pride in being the one to welcome new ghouls into the Abbey. He loves his job in welcoming any new ghouls, be it new summons or transfers.

but he ESPECIALLY liked welcoming Phantom. Phantom hadn't been summoned before, and as the most eager ghoul, Ifrit was tasked with showing Phantom the ropes of living up-top. He oversaw anything Aether couldn't do - stepped in if Aether was pulled away, or wasn't able to clear his busy schedule.

They got close, and fast. Ifrit's less of a mentor and more of a friend, he loves sneaking Phantom out to go to the nearest town, as Ifrit's one of few ghouls trusted with a fake license and unrestricted car access.

They're SO close you'd think they knew each other in the Pits or something, but really its bc of how good Ifrit is at disarming people. He's insanely charming, and already plenty kind. Its beyond easy to trust him!

He helps Phantom with guitar, and his blocking and overall stage presence. Likewise, Phantom shows him the easier ways to break into Mounty's stash without him knowing, and they spend PLENTY of nights tangled together, high as all hell.

When Phantom leaves for tour, its a bit emotional. Not only are they leaving his formal mentor, Aether, but he's gotten SO close with Ifrit. Dancing around some deeper feelings - Phantom wasn't sure how to make a move on a ghoul like Ifrit, part of him doesnt feel like hes deserving of Ifrit's love, and Ifrit not wanting to make a move on Phantom bc he doesn't want to start anything before Phantom has to leave.

Ultimately, mid-tour, Ifrit and Aether sneak to attend a show bc Dew wasn't doing so hot and Ifrit could tell Phantom was starting to really feel it, too. Nothing Ifrit and Aether did could've ever prepared Phantom for tour, frankly.

They got to watch rather than play, admiring their ghouls on stage. It was all coordinated, so they'd be backstage when the ghouls + papa would be finishing up the encore.

Everyone expected Dew's reaction - very much angry-happy, tackling Aether and practically climbing him in his excitement.

NO ONE expected Phantom to do the same. Dropped everything and RAN to Ifrit. And, naturally, Ifrit caught him. Twirled him around and squeezed him nice and close. Phantom started crying right away, mask still on. Ifrit had to help him get it and his balaclava off so he could breathe, and Phantom didn't even hesitate when he grabbed Ifrit and pulled him into a kiss.

Everyone teases them for their first kiss, just lightly. Its perfect, and they both like to talk about it. Ifrits a bit more dramatic about it, acting like Phantom dipped him low and kissed him. But really, Ifrit was holding Phantom up and didn't expect it.

Well... maybe some of it for now

So fairy au literally started from a joke I had with @erineas (which i do plan to mention some time, cause it's still very funny), but along their sona becoming a fairy mine also did and we started to come up with random little "lore bits"

Most of it is overlooked half the time, cause we're too focused on our skelebaes, buuut:

there's like bajilllion types of fairies, they're based in like plant types natural elements things like that (my sona is a flower fairy cause i am very basic like that) and more powerful fairies are based off of just well more "powerful" plants/elements if that makes sense

i was pushing so hard to try and figure out the magic and how it works and stuff, but I only have little bits and pieces and most of it is about fairy dust anyway

there were long conversations from my side about how fairy wings work, cause you know they're connected to the magic and are like... a bit of an equivalent to how magic works in monster souls? Like fairies wings would be the culmination of their magic in its most pure form (outside of fairy dust)

and depending how "magical" a fairy is that would make the wings more natural looking or more you know shimmery magical

because of all this wing lore, I had (still have?) trouble choosing wings for my fairy cause I'm insane

in other news there's fairy villages in the forests and I really wanted to base them in whatever disney fairies lore there is, but i quickly realized that I only watched those movies as a kid and I barely remember them

but yeah everyone is invited to my fairy village where we are all besties and we have the best time, being either:

a gremlin fairy (erineas)

a pwetty faiwy (me)

or yk anything in between, you can be a ladybug if you want to be

Error stepped out of his portal, a sighing leaving him as his sandals hit the ground covered in snow. He took a glance around- Luckily it didn't seem like anyone was here. He'd usually head over to Outertale if he ever wanted out from his anti-void, but some ..stupid thing was happening there.

He didn't really feel like dealing with that.

The soft crunch of snow beneath his feet could be heard as he began to walk forward, bringing his scarf up a tad bit higher to cover his mouth. He had decided to head into Waterfall - It was more calming than the millions of lights coming from Snowdin and it's chilly environment, despite technically not being able to feel it..

Why Underswap, you might ask?

Hell, if he knows. He just.. felt like it. Maybe something interesting will happen..

(Though, not that he necessarily WANTS something to happen. He quite enjoys his alone time.)

Dewdrop was originally summoned by Secondo, but not by the Clergy's orders. In fact, Secondo might have sought to summon a demon to prove himself and abilities. But when he saw the water ghoul, he couldn't help but be a little selfish, and asked the demon he named Dewdrop to be his companion, his lover, and Dewdrop said 'yes.'

They were both happy. Dewdrop wasn't Secondo's only lover. There were about three to five ghouls in Secondo's personal pack of ghoulish lovers. Dewdrop didn't mind, and in fact loved his pack, too.

It was Secondo who recommended Dewdrop to become the bassist Terzo needed for the band. The water ghoul had a knack for music, and was talented with guitars of all sorts.

Then, well, you know what happened to the previous papas after that. Dewdrop was changed afterwards is the easiest way to put it. Along with his elemental change, Dewdrop became more guarded and distant. But underneath it all, he's still the ghoul who was summoned by a lover.

Now, he's the beloved lead guitarist. He hopes Secondo is proud.

I'm glad you're enjoying my fics! As for my favorite Sonic characters, I've had to narrow it down lol. These are in no particular order.

Sonic the Hedgehog. A cool guy who wants everyone to be free to live their dreams. Plus all that unfathomable power and he chooses to be good. Also I'm a sucker for easy-going characters that are sandbagging their asses at all times.

Surge the Tenrec. I'm a huge fan of her design, personality, and the amount of potential she has as a character. I'm also just a huge fan of the living weapon trying to find their place in the world trope.

Lanolin the Sheep. I resonate deeply with her trying to bring order to madness and the frustration when nothing is working like it's supposed to. She's the voice of reason and logic that's been needed for a while. There's been back to back armageddons and it sometimes feels like she's the only one who has noticed this. All the while she's doing her best to help people. I also have this habit of getting attached to characters that get unfairly dog piled by the fandom. Great design as well!

Tangle the Lemur. She's a lot of fun, fantastic design, and her tail power is really cool. She brings an amazing energy to the story.

Doctor Eggman. The guy steals the damn show every time he appears. Just larger than life and so entertaining to watch.
