Sketchy little study I did today in less than 10 minutes, id thought I'd share for those looking for deer anatomy tips
Note which joints align with one another and that deer have more joints than dogs or cats. Their hocks are MUCH higher too!
Please note art is subjective however and I am not the law. If you prefer drawing your deer legs different please do it and have fun 🫶🏽

Hi, sorry to bother ya, but is it alright if ya could give a tutorial on how to draw hands in different angles and positions? I love how you draw them. Hell, I love your art IN GENERAL.
AW, thank you and no, you do not bother me❤️
WELL OKAY. I AM NOT A GOOD TEACHER BUT I WILL TRY TO MAKE A LITTLE, MODEST TUTORIAL
(click for better quality. Worth it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Focus on drawing the base of the hand, then (avoiding drawing the entire fingers) draw the tips of the fingers in the shape of scales in the specific place where you want the fingers to end. Then you can play connect the dots and work on the outline of the entire hand drawing :3
I apologize if these tips sound a bit basic or lacking in detail. However, I may draw more types of hands in the future and use more detailed language to help you learn to draw.

If you help me increase my reach and it turns out that I am actually helping someone, I will feel more confident to continue this type of tutorials❤️

Sketch-to-Final Art Process for "Marin" As demonstrated above, the process had a clear compositional intention from the beginning, with a quick repositioning so that her eye was in the midline of the image because I like that. Then I refined it into a tight construction sketch, then some quick "flat" tones, and then just focused on compositional shading to give the hint of a sunlit back and reflected light presumably coming off the beach sand. Tiny details like the tears and jewel highlights always saved for last. The color is via Gradient Map filter which works really well if you can manage the values right in grayscale first.

Heya! Im new to using CSP and haven't found brushes I really like yet, what brushes do you use/recommend? Any tutorials on messing with the brush settings that you find useful? Im coming from PS to CSP and am still adjusting ! Thank you !
This is personnally what I use for lineart:

Which gives this kind of lineart, a bit crunchy and ink -like:

And this is what I use for sketching:

Which feels really nice to sketch with and gives beautiful roughs:

I usually don't mess with settings lmaoo I'm lazy. I just love to look for the right brush until I'm satisfied! My advice is to take the time to find the right ones for you as CSP have a big supply of them, just look by popularity!

How I draw Raphael and Astarion. Idk if these guides are actually helpful (these old mfs are hard to draw) but these are observations I’ve made over the course of a year of drawing them.
Tips from experience: practice tracing over screenshots, study their unique proportions. Pay attention to angles. Defining smile lines and wrinkles using highlights, not just shadows, is a good tip to making their skin three-dimensional and not look too weathered and old. I’m a makeup nerd. Think highlight & contours. Emphasize bumps, ridges, valleys of their features using tonal contrast. But not too much.
Practice drawing noses with a circle at the tip like the first image of Raph. I found it helps outline the curve that dips down to the upper lip, and to understand that the cartilage caps over the nostrils (i .e. the nostrils are more like recessed cavities, not a hole 🕳️ .)
I’m happy to answer any comments or questions 🙈 and let me know if there’s any interest in making more of these (like Astarion’s front profile)
