Hey! I’ve recently gotten back into WOF and wanted to try drawing some of the characters! Who do you guys think I should draw first?

I think I might just take their in-book descriptions and see if i can draw em from memory or at least stylized, we’ll see!

Here’s an old tribe redesign I did that I’ll use as an example. No promises they’ll get this detailed since this is just for fighting artblock but hey, you never know!

I think we as a fandom moved on a bit too fast from the fact that Snowfall was confirmed to be bisexual and Lynxfall is a very real possibility. Like hell yeah diversity win: the traumatized young adult who's struggling to rule a kingdom after the early passing of her mother and is constantly dealing with paranoia and anxiety is bi!

Chameleon post

My current headcanons:

He learned to read and write from a travelling MudWing scroll salesman called Bog, who was kind enough to share some helpful tips. He was a poet, and taught Chameleon everything he could. Then he learned who Chameleon was, so Chameleon killed him to cover up his tracks, assuming his identity.

Whatever tribe he becomes, there’s still a little bit of RainWing in there. Cirrus has purple-tinted scales. Shapeshifter has green eyes and curved horns. Soar has a barely-noticeable curl in his tail, and is more agile than a normal SkyWing. Bog has a small set of non-functional fangs that he passes off as MudWing tusks.

Peril and Sky both have near-unnoticeable RainWing traits. I know, I know. Impossible and non-canon. Peril’s scales change slightly, from a dull copper when really calm or sleeping, to bright fiery copper when angry, to deep reddish copper when excited or happy. It can barely even be seen but I like to think it’s there. Sky has tiny RainWing fangs that don’t work.

Cirrus was inspired by Hailstorm, with his large build, quiet demeanour and uptight attitude. If Cirrus lived in the Ice Kingdom, he’d probably be another lofty IceWing noble with an inflated sense of their own importance.

I drew the icewing kingdom from memory as I didn’t feel like looking up references. Also- Ice and snow is so hard to draw/render/make look good. but I tried haha

Boy who became king far too young as a dragonet after his parents' deaths. Whose only help that isn't declaring him too young to try and further their own goals and greed is his parents' general Alfred.

Another day another round of OCs three today, I love these guys more so for their designs then for their stories.

First up is Shard one of my 4 Icewings, he is dating a Seawings prince (who is not Island on of my other Princes) there was a curse placed on his family generations ago, not only does this curse affect their scale colour to make sure they never fit in the Ice kingdom but it also brings misfortune on them lucky nothing bads happened to him, yet.

Next is Axolotl my only 4 tribe hybrid being a Sky/Sea/Sand/Ice hybrid, she hasn't got much for her other then I think their really pretty.

And finally Coffee a Night/Mud hybrid, she has a sister and lives as quietly as she can in the Mud kingdom.
