There’s an itch in his hindbrain; the suggestion of a need to run. Marc ignores it, because the louder sensation is the pooling warmth that is starting to spread through his veins as Jean-Paul steps close enough that Marc is forced to tip his chin up, just a little, to keep looking him in the eye. “The others—” Jean-Paul begins, looking down at Marc.

oo tell us about the "Vulnerable" one?

Vulnerable is my provisional title for my teen!Skye AU fic. It tells the story of Philinda coming together and ultimately fostering Skye. It's about their individual journeys as people, as well as them coming together as the beautiful found family we know and love! Packed full of familiar characters - it touches on some angsty areas, but the aim is to make it as uplifting and fluffy as is possible and appropriate!

Here's a snippet for you:

Skye was curled up, asleep under the blanket. The edge was clenched tightly under a fist, but it did appear her limbs were properly relaxed for the first time in hours. His heart ached as he watched her chest rise and fall. Her dark hair fluttered slightly with each gentle release of breath. She looked so tiny and vulnerable covered up like that. If only there was a way to protect her from the darkness in the world, to ensure she always looked as relaxed as she did in this moment.

Silent Night, Joy to the World, Away in a Manger

YAAAA I am opening this and realizing how many messages I opened, forgot about, and never replied to but ANYWAY--

Silent Night: Favorite Christmas tradition? There's a few for sure! I'll pick the food/drink/celebration trinkets though - an intersection of a handful of European traditions (lebkuchen, gluhwein, Christmas crackers, and clementines everywhere) are def faves of mine :D

Joy to the World: Any New Years' resolutions? I never quite make "resolutions" as such, but earnestly I want 2023 to look as much like 2022 in all the good ways as possible. Pushing myself to keep trying new things, doing creative hobbies, spending time with friends, and getting outdoors :D (I also want to be less anxious and take more steps to get healthier this year eep lol)

Away in a Manger: Favorite Christmas movie? ELF my family is a big Elf family lol I could quote it start to finish. Scrooged is a close runner-up though!

He’s dressed all in white, but it’s like he’s wrapped in strips of cloth, from head to toe. They are reminiscent of the bandages one might find wrapped around an Egyptian mummy, Jean-Paul muses. The greaves and boots are chased with gold accents, glinting in the moonlight. They might be letters, but it’s no alphabet Jean-Paul can read. His cape pools in a heap around him, and when Jean-Paul’s gaze reaches his face, there can be no denying it.

What's one song you are loving right now that everyone should know about?

I have a lot of songs on repeat right now. Lots with a strong message like 'heaven wasn’t made for me', 'the man' and 'labour'. Mainly ones recommended by friends.

I think the one song I'm particularly loving and need to share is IDK by Bruce Wiegner. It's got a very catchy tune, but is all about over thinking things in your head and worrying about what people think.
