Pairing: Castiel x Reader

Request: @sleuthelle requested: Hi! I heard you are looking for requests for fanfiction? Would it be alright to ask for a Castiel x Incarnated Angel reader (an Incarnated Angel is quite literally what it sounds like, an angel that was born into a human body usually in order to complete some mission)? (Maybe the boys don’t know and some strange stuff goes down I don’t know...) It can be platonic or romantic, it doesn’t matter. I just thought the concept might be interesting. Haha!

A/N: Yes, very interesting concept! I've actually thought about that sort of AU for awhile, so I'm glad to write about it. Enjoy!

It was a cold Sunday in Scott City, Kansas- a place that was apparently full of demonic activity. It was you and the boys’ calling to go and hunt down the demons.

It was the evening when you encountered the demons. They stuck together in an old mansion when they sensed the presence of the Winchesters, Castiel, and you.

It was a relatively easy fight, given that there were seven or eight of them.

“Y/N! Behind you!” Sam called out after killing the second to last demon.

You whipped around, demon knife in hand. Very quickly, however, the demon stabbed you in the chest with a dark smile.

You almost didn't feel it because it didn't hurt.

Confused, you looked at the knife impaling you, then stabbed and killed the demon.

After it fell to the floor, you stared in shock at the knife lodged in your chest. The two Winchesters’ eyebrows furrowed in confusion. There was complete and utter silence as you stared at the knife. How the hell were you still alive?

Castiel, however, sighed and walked up to you to pull the knife out of your chest.

Your hand immediately checked for an open wound, but there was nothing except for smooth, unbroken skin.

Immediately, your head bolted up to look Cas in the eye. “What...” you asked.

He sighed. “I’ll explain later.”

Within an hour, the awkwardly silent drive to the bunker was over.

Once you were all sitting at the table, you decided to break the quiet atmosphere.

“Castiel, can you tell me about why I'm not dead right now?” you asked with a smile and uncertain calmness.

“Seriously, what the hell happened back there?” Dean asked.

Cas sat up and looked at you. “To put it simply...Y/N, you're an earth angel.”

You raised your eyebrows. “Darling, you're oversimplifying again.” Your smile faded slightly.

“An earth angel is a type of incarnated angel. You are living this life as a human to learn lessons,” Castiel explained.

You nodded. “Okay. And, uh, aside from not getting killed earlier, what makes me one of those?”

“Do you think Sam and Dean can see my wings?” he asked.

“Yes, everyone can. Right?” you answered.

“Wrong. Most humans can't see my wings,” Cas stated.

You let out a slight gasp. “Wait, so they can't see that you're a badass that provides a wing shield for me?”

“Uh...no, they cannot,” he shook his head.

“Wait, what?” Sam asked.

You smiled. “Nevermind.”

“There are a lot of...inhuman things that earth angels can see or do,” Castiel said.

“Okay, so why am I learning all of this now?” you inquired.

“You probably are needed to complete a mission that only earth angels can do,” he said.

“That sounds fun,” you noted with a sarcastic undertone. “Also, if I was a normal angel before, did you know me? And did you still love me?”

Castiel paused. “I- yes, I did. Why is that what you're worried about of all things?”

“How do I react? I'm on a mission? Will I meet God? Other angels? I bet they aren't as nice as you,” you rambled.

“Wait, okay, so Y/N is basically a human angel right?” Sam asked.

Castiel nodded.

“Doesn't that mean we can kick Michael's ass easier? Now that (pronoun) has these...angelic powers or whatever unlocked?” Dean asked.

“Maybe. (Pronoun) was a great warrior and comrade in Heaven,” Castiel chuckled lightly.

“Yeah, well...get your angel brain working. We need all the help we can get,” Dean ordered. “I'm off. Night.” He wandered off to his room.

“Cas?” you asked.

“Hm?”

You smirked excitedly. "Show me what I can do.”

Do you have any of the voicebanks up for download? I unfortunately am unable to make an Utauloid (I tried making one before with my voice and it didn't go well...) and was curious.

We do not as far as I am aware but there is some good stuff in our tutorials tag, though I’m not sure if any of it will be of much help… It may be worth it to look over some of it though just in case!! I wish you the best of luck :]

Mayhem Stream

Since it’s the 2 year anniversary of Mayhem--which was a community-wide event, I was thinking I could do something that involved all parts of the community. In a few days, I’m going to be posting prompts for May. Artists, writers, editors, etc. will get a chance to make their own project, based on whichever prompt(s) they choose. 2019

It’s been quite a year. A year of huge negatives. I have dealt with an overwhelming amount of stress and self-doubt. It caused me to explode into tears multiple times a week. I convinced myself I was a failure that wasn’t gonna accomplish anything. Because of that, my motivation and, in return, grades took a dive for a couple months. Not to mention, my Aunt’s devastating diagnosis of kidney cancer last month. Given the negatives about this year, I can’t wait for 2019 to be a thing of the past.

Regardless, I won’t forget the bright parts of this year. I ended my high school career and started my first year of college. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone by writing and posting stories, as well as reading stories on twitch streams. I have even started on the road to really taking care of my mental health. Not only that, but I have met so many kind people these last 12 months; people that have improved my life and opened my eyes to new possibilities. Without them, I might not have had the support I needed to survive those couple months of emotional hell. Thank you guys so much! I can’t wait for another year with all of you!

As far as goals, I would have to say mine are to write and stream more, as well as learn to balance my work and mental health. It’s gonna be difficult, but with enough effort and support, I’ll be able to go into 2020 ready to kick my anxiety and doubts in the ass.

My favorite memory has to be last September. In the beginning of that month, I wasn’t feeling the best about myself one day. I made a post, saying that I needed some PMA. Within an hour (maybe even less), I got words of encouragement from people I didn’t even know. Those people (all of which are on the list above, I think) would soon become my closest online friends. I know I mention this way too much, but this is a day that really sticks out to me; the day where I realized just how kind and close-knit this community truly is.

But I don’t just have friends on here. Late last year, I was invited to a group chat for Anti theorists on twitter. The people there were nothing but kind and welcoming to me. I appreciate every moment I get to talk to them. My favorite memory is simply being invited to it for posting something Anti-related. It was the best, most bizarre feeling ever!

All of these people have helped me become more open and social. They’ve even inspired me to start writing again (and make my own blog for ego stories). I honestly don’t know how my life would be without all of them in it.
