The swap is only between Wrio and Neuv. Everyone else stays the same.

Neuv being offered the position of Warden/Protector of the Sluice Gate by Focalors that 500 years ago instead of Chief Justice.

Reason being Focalors think that if Sovereigns think if humans are mislead and tainted under the jurisdiction of archons, then a Sovereign would know a more proper way to make them repent.

Furina let the people elect Chief Justice but still seeks Neuvillette's guidance, even prefer it over the current Chief Justice

After all humans would NEVER talk back against an ARCHON right..........?

Wriothesley's entire backstory still happened.

Except the fortress is alot more strict, almost no-tolerance level of strict so while Wrio doesn't have to fight for food or safety, it's not built for redemption.

He focuses more on his engineering machinery side over his boxing side.

Becomes an engineer once he's out then afterwards the newest Chief Justice.

Definitely a more sympathetic kind of Chief Justice, often taking up special interest in cases with no clear black and white judgement.

Idk about how the melusines were in early Fontaine years but i do think it's probably the only time Neuvillette ascended from the fortress to fight for something in 'Focalors domain'

Wrio only got sticker ambushed after Sigewinne noticed that Neuvillette seems to favour the new Chief Justice and proceeded to spread the news amongst her sisters

So I've been working on my FFXIV housing, in my ongoing attempt to accumulate as many house spaces as possible on one server. My main character's private house, his apartment, and my FC's house are now complete. I still need to finish my main character's FC room, and I also have seven other alts on this server who have FC rooms and private apartments that I need to finish. But for now, here's the info about the parts I've finished!

These aren't super sophisticated builds, no glitching or floating or anything, but I like how they turned out and wouldn't mind seeing a few more guest book posts.

APARTMENT: Aether Data Center -> Sargatanas Server -> Mist (Limsa Lominsa) -> Ward 27 -> Topmast Wing 1 -> Room 1 THE CHOWDER SLUICE is... a place you can eat, if you're dead broke, lost a bet, or you're too drunk to recognize where you've wound up. "Until Sea Swallows All-You-Can-Eat!"

PRIVATE HOUSE: Aether Data Center -> Sargatanas Server -> Empyreum (Ishgard) -> Ward 26 -> Plot 30

NIDHOPPS is Ishgard's first Dragonsong War-themed Craft Brewery. And probably its last, since that's an idea with just about zero cultural sensitivity. It is also one of Siege's secret "calamity bunkers", places he's set up around the star as secure retreats with accommodations for refugees, where he could direct some non-combatants to duck down and hide until he and the Scions are able to figure out a solution the next time the sky is literally falling.

FREE COMPANY HOUSE: Aether Data Center -> Sargatanas Server -> Mist (Limsa Lominsa) -> Ward 6 -> Plot 60

Finally, the centerpiece of the big project, MOGARITAVILLE is a family-friendly restaurant (with the more relaxed Siren's Grotto bistro downstairs and the upscale Crow's Nest lounge upstairs) on the Limsa Lominsa seaside that is really just a front for the Amaranthine Maw pirate crew.

The plan is to use Siege and my other seven alts to fill in the pirate crew's base via their FC rooms, but I need to take a little time to let my ravaged gil total recover before undertaking that effort.

the storms brought a cool breeze along and i opened all the windows and even the lodger enjoyed the change

walking back from the library by the shortcut through the woods, i saw a big old auntie tree had fallen in the night and i full smelt the damp of the wet ground that had failed to hold her roots. through the canopy, i could see just enough of the sky to know i wasn't going to make it home before the next storm hit and suddenly, for a moment, i felt real and alive in the middle of it all. the ache, anxiety and sadness that hold this body were together indistinguishable from the the thrill, the relief, the joy of being there in that place for that time. i carried that feeling the rest of the way home. i didn't notice when it started to rain but i was soaked by the time i got home and my face is wet now from remembering it

One of the difficulties I've had in posting about Glorantha lately is that, firstly and foremostly, having had an experience of what roleplay can be and what Glorantha can do as a component of roleplay, and having had that experience confirmed by other people who've had similar ones, it is extremely difficult to interact with the Glorantha fandom without various degrees of frustration happening on my end or, often, mutually.

Secondarily, the direction of officially-stamped-as-canon Glorantha is one I really don't care for. I see it as trying to replicate many of the worst excesses of the 1990s metaplot-heavy tabletop roleplaying games, on a purely structural level, and that's compounded by the firmly conservative politics of the creative direction, which combine with the desire to assert "the story" over anyone playing in or with Glorantha to make it feel faintly immoral to talk Glorantha up and possibly encourage people to get sprayed by that skunky fluid.

Thirdly, most of how I can talk about Glorantha on a structural level of "this is how I played" is reliant on a family of terms that most people who engage with TRPGs don't know, and also a set of assumptions that run squarely counter to the public understanding of what TRPGs are and ought to be.

So, you know, bit of a creative dam built up.
