"What color fox plush do you want for Christmas?" I ask my brother.
"This one." He shows me a photo of a cross fox dubbed "Mat" taken (and enhanced) by the photographer Sam Gaby (Keen.Feed on Insta).
"That one! It's beautiful but real foxes aren't that saturated. Do you still want the vibrant oranges?"
"Yes."
He hasn't seen the finished fox, and won't until Christmas. I think he'll like it.
Made with faux fur fabrics (not real fur) and touched up with acrylic paint. He's life-size (on the large side) with measurements taken from fox population studies. I have process pics and a video of his process on my blog.
