I was going to take a tolerance break starting today but I have some grapes that need eating and there’s no way I’m devouring half a thing of grapes sober

#i like grapes but i’m really okay with just eating a few of them #the reason i bought them (and also a large melon) the other day was that when i get high i am possessed with a HUNGER #but also a dry mouth. so i didn’t want a dry snack #in the past i’ve eaten ice cream when this happens to me but i’m trying to make better choices #so i bought fruit #well the first time i had an edible after buying the fruit i ate half a melon in one sitting #i’d prepped it beforehand by slicing it in segments and boxing it all up #and i just ate four segments before realising what i was doing #the grapes are a bit more like pulling teeth though honestly #i think i’m going to postpone the tolerance break until tomorrow #(i need a tolerance break because these supposedly 30mg gummies are doing fuck all to me 😶)#and yeah. i’ll just buy melons to be my high snacks from now on #listen. if being high causes me to binge eat fruit i feel like that’s a win overall #personal

Okay, I know there are so many other good reasons to support immigration, but honestly, I'd just do it for the food. I live in a very diverse city and the things I can eat! I could have authentic restaurant food from a different culture every day of the week, I can buy all sorts of funky, delicious fruits at the grocery store, and our "international" section is a whole aisle now (both sides!) and there are so many yummy things! Foods that used to be foreign are spilling into the regular aisles.

Please come to my country. I want to eat your food.

The most appropriate response to what’s happened is very obviously to find a clearance steak for Jack and cook it for dinner with some to add to the dogs’ and cat’s meals. Buy a JUMBO bag of sunflower seeds to spoil the birds. Get myself a slurpee, a big box of freezies and Jack a case of beer. Then just sit in the house, play a good game, and occasionally go “AND ANOTHER THING” in a bitch fest circle

#we haven’t been able to buy anything remotely nice for ourselves because of how much he was leeching #plus if we did buy anything even remotely frivolous like a $3 slurpee #it would immediately be a matter of #I see you have money to spend so where’s money for my Totally Used For His Gas Tank And Not Drugs #so even if we could we would t buy anything nice for ourselves #just pasta and flour to make our own sauce and keep it keep as can be #also got some fruit today!#so excited to eat a fruit!#and if I had bought freezies with him here he would again say we have money so where the money he wants from us #or eat all my freezies in one go #like the $40 box of chocolates he downed a third of in one night #and pretended he only ate one bar #which he never asked to have either #anyways #we’re still financially Tight #but Loose Enough that we can eat something other than $1 bag of pasta and .30$ sauce to sustain life

tricked myself into braving the grocery store this morning by envisioning in great detail the amazing breakfast sandwich i could make if only i had everything bagels extra sharp cheddar cheese and breakfast sausage patties and then came home and made the breakfast sandwich. dreams can come true

Double chocolate and blueberry loaf. Looks and smells super good, just hoping it tastes alright. I tried looking up a recipe for enriched chocolate dough and my eyes glazed over immediately, so I just winged it.

#i have made very few chocolate doughs and always forgot to add extra sugar so they were very bitter #i did add a lot of sugar this time so hopefully ? it wont be bitter ? idk its all looking good.#baking #the blueberries are dried btw bc we have like 10 pounds of dried blueberries #theres an insane and somewhat infuriating food situation going on due to the oregon government being the Worst Ever #esp re: giving people their food stamp benefits on time. i wont go into it bc it would take a while to explain and i am still very mad #but we have a lot of bulk food all bought in a panic which involves 10 pounds of dried blueberries #and im hoping they go well in bread #i do lots of bairin breac anyway which has tons of dried fruit altho that is typically soaked.... maybe shoulda soaked these...
