my first name’s from a non recurring character in a soap opera my mom had watched since she was like 14. she swore that’s what she’d name her first girl and kept it a secret so no one could steal it for That Long (and i have 2 older brothers and i’m rly glad they weren’t girls cuz idk who i’d be without this name) // my middle name is after a close family friend that i rly don’t know much about, other than seeing a photo of her holding me as a baby. she passed when i was super young so i never met her when i was any older. i should ask my dad about her.

2. When was the last time you cried?

i’ve started coming off my ssri so i been at least tearing up if not full on wailing every day of january so far hahaha effexor withdrawals are no fuckin joke

3. Do you have kids?

i could see myself fostering kids some day. otherwise being the cool aunt is perfect for me (and i just got a brand spankin new niece on the 12th!)

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

i did gymnastics/dance, basketball, track, and cheerleading growin up. i wanna get back into gymnastics/dance classes tho (i wanna do pole dance so bad) cuz my muscle memory and flexibility without practicing or stretching is still crazy

hii honey next year i’m going to sixth form which is sort of like a college but for 16-18 year olds (i’m in the UK). i’ve got offers from two of my dreamm schools and i can’t decide which to pick! they’re both around the same academically so it’s pretty much just about the school environment. i feel like you and me have pretty similar personalities/values, so which one would YOU pick?

option one: going to the sixth form of the school i’m at now. that’s where most of my friends are going, its a really nice building with a great environment but it won’t be as much of a “fresh start” (i have some bad memories here) plus you have to wear formal attire (but i could make that cute?)

option two: going to a new school closer to where i live. there’s no uniform and it’s more laid back, there’s more girls so i could make new friends? i won’t know anyone on the first day (which is scary) but i think i could be really happy here plus i get to start over. problem is my ex friend group is going here, and i kinda wanna get away from them.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)?

I have my favorite dynamics for my mains, due to most of my OTPs being me self-shipping my girls with whatever vibes. My favorite dynamics are the following:

AVIAN. either himbo/bimbo-energy that always drags her into stupid shit or a stick-in-the-mud who's trying to get her out of shit. bonus points if they are flirtatious and a little bit dangerous for my favorite "bad girl/good girl" combo. bonus, bonus points for that partner being a woman.

TERRAH. i enjoy her calmly bringing morally ambiguous figures to their knees because they are so, so desperately in love with her. because she deserves to be adored for being herself. bonus points if her partner is a bad/evil person to everyone except her

LILAH. therapy. jk. kinda. Lilah would prefer a smooth talker; someone she can battle wits with but can come kiss them when the sun sets. she wants a romantic to sweep her off her feet, one who's willing to love and let go as easily. she demands something temporary, indulgent. I love messy dynamics for her.

ELVIRA. ivy has two sides they enjoy: those who embody sunlight and those who embody moonlight. bonus points if she has them both. Ivy fares better in a polyamory dynamic, having two partners to balance their mercurial personality.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

The majority of my characters are at least 22+ and up, and I refuse to ship anything underage or if the character isn’t at a minimum of 21+. I’m flexible in terms of age gaps up to 10+ years, but I am selective. Will need heavy plotting prior to justify the reasoning. 

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

Anything beyond a chaste kiss on the lips that de-evolves to heavy kissing and touching is when I usually start considering things NSFW. If the end goal is to fuck or get freaky, that’s NSFW. And that also depends on the characters as well, as some of them have different definitions of intimacy & sex.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

Yes, I am. I love shipping, so I try not to be too strict with it. If the characters vibe, they vibe. However, given the majority of the characters here are black women, I’m very particular about certain dynamics. These girls, no matter how hard they come off, are soft, gentle, and/or passionate in their dynamics, and I get really, really whiffy if someone comes up to me to make my girls more gruff or animalistic than they really are. I will shut that shit down fast if I even catch a whiff of an odd dynamics that hyper-masculizes my girls.

I am more explicitly strict on Jackson & Jo when it comes to shipping. Jo-hui explicitly because of her sexual trauma and Jackson for the trauma he brings to others. Also given that Jackson’s the only guy on the blog, I gotta be particular on who’s gonna have his heart.

rambling about fandom ahead:

looking back i still find it really funny that when i was last active here i became like. a Historical/Nationverse/SEA Seriousness blog. I mean that’s awesome there’s nothing wrong with that. memory and longing is still imo the best thing I’ve written, I still love the indo/malay/sg/laos/cambodia ocs I made, I am Viet and I do really enjoy talking about Vietnam and its history. (that one long post about vn is an awesome contribution to the fandom and i’m super proud of it.) I’m definitely thinking about writing more stuff like that again!

but anyways it’s just funny to me because I really wasn’t focused on that, and that side of the fandom stresses me out to participate in lol. I love doing the hcs and whatnot but writing actual pieces is too much for me mostly cuz I think it’s so complex and layered and I feel like I’m nowhere near others in terms of being a Good Historical Hetalia Writer. also if you look at the stuff I actually write… I’ve only ever written historical/nationverse fic in short snippets through a modern lens, because that’s the extent of my interest in writing it. in terms of longfic, far more appealing to me are concepts like complex queer people navigating a modern hellsociety (me!! it’s me!! that covers bsn AND ghlr cuz ultimately writing is about delving into my own mind and playing out my own shit). I also just prefer writing humorous, slice of life, and/or character centric stuff, and a modern human au is the easiest way for me to do that.

overall I love hetalia because it’s so familiar to me, yet the flexibility of fanon allows me to stretch AUs and develop characters and explore what intrigues me. it also allows everyone else to do that and we get so much unique thought provoking inspiring content!!

but anyways. I do kinda wish I had the chops for being a dedicated historical/serious hetalia blog bc it’s so fascinating and the people I admire most in this fandom are great at it. but I also love doing my own thing and writing the weird shit I wanna write, and I really appreciate everyone who’s ever been supportive of that. we’re all just trying to have fun and make cool stuff and i love it

How does she treat DD

Riley would treat DD like she would any other friend. Give them plenty of attention, play with them, listen to then, mess around with them. Basically anything you'd do with a friend or best friend, Riley is pretty similar in giving affection to their love to how Jack treats MC.

The only difference is that Riley isn't praising them every step of the way, she's light hearted and playful no matter what, everything is a fun challenge that you have to get over like you do in any old game. She'd be the one to hype you up and encourage you, being the sunny and cheery disposition against lifes hardships.

How does Riley show affection

Where jack would gently get you to wake you up Riley would jump onto you and ruffle up her hair in a nuggy. If anything Riley shows her love through actions than she does with words. Her body language is very straightforward and never exactly shy....that is until someone asks her is she herself is in love with someone. Then she gets flustered, saying things like "Heh, do I love someone?? HaHa! Of course I do silly, I love all of my friends" she'll purposefully mislead people away from the topic of her feelings of romantic love, she can't even begin to figure out how to put how she feels into words.

How would Riley confess

Either by having a very intimate moment with DD or DD telling Riley they like her romantically. Like I said Riley isn't exactly one with words but is great at expressing through her actions and try to let them talk for her, kinda why she plays the drums and not any other instrument sense you're putting your whole body into the music and the more you feel the beat the more your body expresses a level of passion for the music.

How does Riley prefer Affection

Riley is fine with compliments or the basic "I love you" but it doesn't exactly cut it for her. There's a reason why she's physically affectionate, not only does she think it gets her point across easier than talking but she prefers physically affection towards herself. Things like hugs can relive so much tension, a gentle placement of the hand or even rubbing her makes into putty, and a kiss? Oh she is over the moon for you. Now you'd think the next step would be play time on the bed right? Yes but only one, Riley is extremely innocent. Doesn't matter if you've done the deed with her a large amount of times, everytime it's almost like the first but not in an annoying way. It's in a more cute way sort to speak, just her begin so flustered and over incombered with love and embarrassment she can barely keep still let alone stop making sounds.

How physically active is Riley?

Oh where do I begin with this. She is strong enough to life up five kids while they use her as a jungle gym and walk around with two kids on her legs. This clown is so fast you ain't catcher her unless there's something to slow her down, play red light green like and you'll lose in at least 7 turns or less. And how flexible she is, dude she can fold herself like origami and hide anywhere. All this also means she is very good at climbing too. She'll climb anything, tree's, buildings, play ground structures, people, the list can go one. All in all she is very physically active

Bottom? Top? Switch?

Riley is more or less a bottom switch, she can play any part in the bed but that's only after her being a bottom for the first part of the whole thing. She'll take charge if you want her to or if she has it in herself to do it, and if you want to run the show she'll gladly let you. All in all she'll do anything you wanna do and as long as you're happy she is happy, but dare hurt her and she'll stop the whole thing.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)?

This feels like it's meant for canon/canon ships in a fandom so as an OC they don't really apply.

But otherwise, I'm reluctant to say. If I had to choose just one it would be the one I've had the longest (Hello, Dea XD!) but otherwise I don't like putting anyone below another.

I do tend to get invested in the ships I'm writing, and it's safe to say that if we're doing the thing I'm very much there for it!

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

In Thera's main verse, age gaps are usually a given; she's been around a good long time. In her AU verses she's usually in her thirties.

Either way, generally speaking she doesn't like hooking up with anyone under the age of 25, and older is better. We do have a few exceptions, but they're only shy of it by a year or so, plus those muses canonically have life experience beyond their years.

It's about the other person being an adult and old enough that they have a decent grasp of themselves and their place in the world.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

I know I have long-time followers and friends who are sex-repulsed, have kids who may be in the background, or just don't wanna see that stuff, so I tend to start 'readmores' and lots of tagging pretty early- probably as soon as the groping or dirty-talk starts.

As far as how far it goes between the muses, that is totally dependent on what my partner is comfortable with. I'm cool with writing smut as part of an ongoing ship, but if the other mun isn't I'm relying on them to tell me when they want to fade.

Kinda, yes. I'm often very hopeful that a ship will happen, but it also depends on we muns being on the same page, the muses and the chemistry between them. Or the dynamic the other mun is chasing isn't one that meshes with mine.

I came up through the era of 'ew, just another thirsty OC' (which really hasn't ended, do not get me started on this!), which made me very reticent about admitting I wanted to ship in case that label got slapped on and being ignored followed.

I was that way for around eight or nine years, but a few experiences recently have changed my attitude, and I hit people in the face with the potential (just an 'if it happens I'd be good with it') early on, just so it's on the table. We still need to work towards it, which I know also puts some people off, so be ready for that. Regarding your latest post; I always wondered how glukkon skulls work. The back of their heads have this weird jiggly physics to them, something that was present in Oddysee and Exoddus but definitely more noticeable in soulstorm with the animation upgrade, implying they’re soft and loose. I like to think it’s either that the glukkons skeletons are made of a soft yet sturdy cartilage like sharks or other marine animals, or perhaps their heads have a layer of blubbery fat. It might explain why they’re able to take a surprising amount of hits when Abe slaps one of them in Exoddus lol.

Yeah, Glukkons seemed to have a bit more solid heads before but animation physics of Soulstorm catched my attention and made me wonder their head structure more. I feel like their heads might be a mixture of them all. I did this little illustrative picture to explain better:

This is how I imagine Glukkon skulls:

The yellow area is a part of their skull that consists of solid bones or at least a part of that, like teeth. The green area is their ‘brain cage’ that protects their brains and consists of cartilage and that purple area is something else that supports their heads. Their occipital lobe might consist of the same tissue as that purple area or is something similar. Their brains seem to be under a thin but tough skin on top since you can see its veins, and brain folds. I gotta admit that I don’t know enough about this biology area to be more exact but these are my thoughts. There is so much to wonder in this world...

And yes, Glukkons seem to have surprisingly tough heads. It might be like that thanks to their flexible head structure. I just got an idea: This reminds me of the fact that children are more resistant to hits without breaking their bones than adults because their bones are more flexible than adults’. Yeah, it might explain the same thing with Glukkons. Like, Molluck’s head is also not broken at all even he hit his head hard to the metal floor but he broke some of his teeth because they are more solid than the rest of his head.

Also, I’m glad to see that I’m not wondering these Glukkon ‘n’ Molluck things alone! One can think about something that another didn’t think about and ect. Man, Glukkon anatomy would be a good topic to ask from Lorne. I have also been half-joking about that could worker Glukkons become drones like worker Mudokons or is it only a Mudokon thing. Yeah, so much things to wonder. (Y)

And since you left this message, I wanna tell you that I have been silently enjoying your Molluck and Glukkon theories and stuff before I even started this blog! I was about to came to say this to you one day but man, I’m always kinda afraid of talking and socializing with people, no matter how nice they seem. Also, I wanna thank you specially for your support! It really has helped me to keep posting stuff when my self-hatred has tried to make me disappear from online. I know that one should enjoy creating stuff regardless of others and be here primarily for themselves but when your mind constantly mocks and criticizes you, you slowly start to believe in it and see others’ stuff much better than yours making you think that why you should even post your rubbish. When the case is this, support really feels like a knock on my shoulder that my stuff doesn’t suck and helps me to keep fighting against my self-hatred. changing blog type?

i've been thinking that because i haven't been online for a while now that i might change the focus of my blog. i'm not hugely involved in fandom anymore, so while i'll still post fandom related stuff i might make this more of a personal blog, with a combo of text posts, funny posts, fashion, makeup, photography etc. so yeah, just a heads up that over the next few weeks i'll probably start posting quite different posts to what you're used to seeing. to everyone i knew in the teen wolf fandom, i understand if you unfollow me, and mutuals pls don't feel any pressure to keep following me if its not really your kind of thing! i will still post fandom stuff but not really as the sole focus of this blog. i've had an amazing time in the teen wolf fandom but i think it's time to move on and make this blog more fun for me!

In the meantime though, I did want to ask, what’s your thoughts on Pokémon evolutions that happen while trading? It doesn’t seem natural to me and it does kind of confuse me a bit on how it could work like that.

I'm going to step out of Professor shoes and be a little ooc here to think about this is a broader sense, and explain how i look at them. This trigger is adaptable and poses as different thing, be it like the Anime, where we see a pokemon evolve to protect its trainer, or change forms to win an important battle, or impress a mate. Unlike games, we see this happen mid-scenario, not after gaining exp from a win or use of skill. This leads me to believe it’s the emotional state of the Pokemon that’s the true catalyst here.

In the wild, at least on this blog, I like to think of it like this:

Machamp who rule their pod, and look after their fellow machops and machokes will grow old, they eventually come to a point where a new leader must be selected. Their fellow pokemon will show their skills, and the chosen winner to take over the group will receive the dying machamp’s belt. That belt being handed over is enough to evolve the Pokemon, and for them to take their place as the new leader, with their new improved stats.

Onix tunnelling along underground may accidentally stray into a vein of the same rare metal that we produce metal coats with, enough of that metal will trigger their evolution. They may actively search for it, or it could be an accident.

Alakazam outsmart each other for fun, if they get smart enough, they too could just evolve out of accumulative experience.

A Pokemon risking itself to protect its family, trainer, or friends, can use its energy stores up (if they have enough of course) and force the evolution. If we see Pokemon rejecting and deciding not to evolve even without stones and items, then the theory stands that they can suddenly decide to tap into that power.

I believe in general there are a multitude of ways for Pokemon to evolve, not just the set in stone (pun sort of intended) ways we see in the games. For example, eevee. It’s evolutions are triggered by location. Flareon live in hotter climates, and flock to volcanoes, hot grassy plains, sweltering jungles, and even hot springs in some areas. They bring their young. Their young then evolve too eventually, through time spent in the area. No stones involved. You could argue there’s Firestone’s in the area perhaps, a vein underground? Sure. Maybe? But there also might not be.

Do we also ask the same questions of friendship evolutions? How do you measure that? What’s the unit for friendship? Feels to me like another evolution through life experiences, not all that different from a trade (leaving one trainer to join another, a pretty big event for anyone) if you ask me. It’s just like...I don’t know, it feels like a lot of evolutions are aided by items, are more successful with items, or would be a sure fire way to achieve it, but quietly, subtly, all Pokemon must gain exp and skills through simply living. For doing regular normal stuff day in day out. After a while, that energy equates to the stones, or the trade, or the item, and the Pokemon evolves without any fancy method.

Humans and trainers figured out how to speed run growing battle-ready Pokemon partners, to win money, stay safe, become famous, even commit crimes. We say Pokemon in the wild handling items or doing tasks and they just happened to come into contact with the right thing, and evolved. We now mass produce held items to aid this. Could argue there’s a strong financial reason for the lack of talk about ambient evolution as discussed above.

Gotta remember too, these were marketed video games, meant to be sold and to make money. The games would implement mechanics like evo-trades, to bring excitement to kids who had only one of the games as a kid, to get them to trade with other people who might be able to help them get those elusive evolutions for the games completion. Back then they developed this evo-via trade methods to encourage social gaming in children, amongst other things. It was widely thought of as a bit of a gimmick from what i've gathered. For this reason I’m a little flexible with the mechanic as a whole, it feels like a neat thing for kids to discover when trading Pokemon back when it was first brought in, Googling answers wasn’t so much of an option, you use to have to get a guide book, or ask someone who knew how. On average kids had to find out either by chance, or by word of mouth. It made people want to interact. Don’t we all have memories of our fav evo trade finally being ours when playing? It’s a great bit, people enjoyed it.

Take what you will from this, I got a little too into it, I think a lot about these things, but never have a reason to write it down....or try to haha! I'm glad you got going with your own blog, it's really nice to see so many people give it a go. We can all do with more content, and why not make what we want in the pokemon world right? its a lot of fun, creative, and can bring joy to others too. I see no down side.

the first character I think of that def impacted my gender journey is Tyler Ronan (my icon for this blog lol). I got the game he's in, Tell Me Why, just a few months after my egg cracked, and I was specifically interested in the game because he's trans (and voiced by a trans VA!).

He's very cool and I do like the way he presents, but mostly he just helped me realize that I did actually want to change my name! (the "T" in JT is for Tyler, lol 😁)

i also loved his transness in general. like there's some flexibility in how you choose to play him, but he can be kinda ruthless and unapologetic about his identity and I love going that way.

like one of the other characters, an older guy named Sam, sees him and after being told who he is Sam's like "oh I didn't know they could make a woman look like a man" and the response I always choose for Tyler is something like "Not like a man, Sam. Just a man, like you."

and when Tyler and his twin sister, Alyson, are on the ferry headed to their childhood home, you can chat with a guy. And if you have Tyler introduce himself with his last name the guy is like "Oh I didn't know those girls had a brother," and one of the dialogue choices is "We didn't." (Queue an abrupt end to the conversation lmao)

I just really appreciated how Tyler can be so open about his transness, specifically in the way that he takes no shit from all these people that thought they knew him when he was a kid. I wanna be able to stand up for myself like that and have that pride. :]

there's also the fact that his character wasn't solely about being trans. like that's a pretty big part of it (esp for plot reasons) but he also has dreams and hobbies and stuff unrelated to his transition. like he's planning on becoming a park ranger and wants to help troubled kids and stuff. its just a nice reminder that your identity doesn't necessarily start and end with being trans.

My Thoma is C1 rn! I plan to try and c6 him later on, but honestly im doing it for, like, appreciation purposes? Bc his cons seem to be geared towards a supportive role (particularly as a shielder) whereas I'm going for a sub-dps or a main dps Thoma. I,,, kinda went on a whole ramble about stuff like that on my personal blog here, but the TL;DR of the constellations i think is that if you're going for a damage dealing Thoma, he's just as viable c0 as he is any con tbh. Like, obvi the Q duration increase at C2 is pretty good in a way, and the level increases at 3 and 5 are solid, and the c6 is good for an on-field Thoma or if you're using him to buff someone who uses normal & charged attacks.

But for him specifically there aren't many particularly game-changing cons that really make a difference in his overall damage yk? kajsdas at least that's what i see so far from reading their descriptions, ig.

For flexibility obvi higher cons do usually mean more utility in teams, but overall they're not super duper needed to make him do damage yk? As a support tho they're useful, so that's worth thinking abt. But tbh he is a 4 star, so he'll likely get another rate-up banner in the future yk? so going for homa or itto instead of cons could be something worth thinking abt too, since they're a little more exclusive.
