Oooh art gallery quilting cotton. It's almost silky and slippery. It's extra soft but also crisp. it's lovely to sew with. I make sure to have a good needle and it's like buttah.

I used this fabric to make my nephew a tote bag.

I have a long awaited doctor appt this afternoon and I read the ultrasound notes in advance. Like woo I have a cyst (i wasn't making it up in my head hooray) but boo it's like a small cyst (2cms is rookie numbers! Last time it was 10 cm so it was real obvious it had to be removed) Honestly, i know this is weird but my whole first half of the year has been getting to this point so I can decide like... how to manage this health issue. I haven't planned any breaks or vacations cause I need to know about this first. Appointment in an hour - let's go doc!

I have some quilting projects to start and I found just the right colors so that was nice. I have just a few precious scraps of this moon fabric but I found the perfect way to bring it into the pattern for the quilt for my godson.

Getting a turkey sandwich and eating it on the beach tomorrow instead of going to work cause its my birthday.

What song makes you feel better?

Such a hard question really. I think any song from the ABBA band would. But this year I listened (top 0.0005 listeners.. oops) a lot to espresso. I don’t know but it improved my mood last fall. I also listen a lot to the soundtrack from New Moon and Breaking Dawn to feel better I suppose. So really a few songs actually!

What’s your favorite candle scent?

So I don’t have any candles in house and never had any scented candles. However, I feel like I would love a lavender or vanilla scented candle. Those scents are, together with Mandarin, my faves. Perhaps I should try it soon :)

Comfort food?

Would it shock you if I said it is not pancakes? I mean, pancakes are a comfort food but at the moment it is a different recipe. My family makes this pasta with tomato sauce that is so good. Lots of vegetables, olives, grated cheese and a tomato sauce. All mixed together and served with simple pasta. We do not really have a recipe for it because we know how to make it without thinking really. It is such a comfort in the winter to eat 🫶🏻

Honestly I'm a sucker for anything handmade, like a story/drawing/etc...or even a little gift that pertains to my interests...anything that they say it made them think of me, because I know that so much thought and effort went behind it and that's something I appreciate more than anything

How am I? Above ground. I am, understandably, still very upset about losing my old blog. It looks like it really is unrecoverable. But we soldier on.

I would tell my future self "I love you. I see you. You exist in that nebulous, distant land where I can't go. You stand in my place. But you are still standing and that's so wonderful, my dear."

So! 10. Getting my laptop is definitely on the top of my list of things I'm excited for. I can't wait to play all of the games I like again.. and to draw comfortably lmao. The government provided laptop it's– well. Y'know. Not the best. But I manage!

23. Ah, this one's difficult. I've been experimenting with my gender expression lately, something I couldn't do in my early teen years because of- well. Mostly embarrassment but also fear and anxiety of being judged. Goes hand by hand I guess. I don't have a lot of money to buy myself nice clothes, but I do what I can with what I have!! And a few days ago I wore this cute overall that instead of pants has a skirt! And I like it a whole lot. It's blue and pleated. I wore a black tight turtleneck underneath it and solid black tights. I wanted to include maybe blue leg warmers but I couldn't find the ones my grandma handmade for me. But I think the outfit looked great anyway!! So, that. And I'd say this big af leather jacket that my father passed onto me from his younger days jfshjd

And 25!! Oooh. This one's interesting. I'd say anything that has a lot of thought put into it. It could be anything honestly, what makes it really special for me is the emotion and love put into it. Like for example, my irl bff gifted me this hand made bracelet for my 18th birthday that has `soulmate` written in morse code if I recall correctly with white and blue transparent beads. Transparent stuff are my favourite visual stim, and he handmade it thinking of me!! And and he has a matching one!! I haven't taken it off since he gifted it to me and it was my favourite gift I received that day. It made me feel special and appreciated and I really needed that in that moment. That gift(and him) holds a special place in my heart.

7. what color brings you peace?

green? but like....not to be a broken record....plant green. the color of fresh growth and living things. idk if it's calming exactly but I think it's grounding? helps my brain calm down anyway

24. what’s something you do to de-stress?

okay my coworkers laughed at this but legit, I wander around the apartment looking at my plants. and like looking at them intently, not just glancing at them. Idk it helps my brain chill out to take a beat to just really focus on them and admire and appreciate the details and growth of them.

30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?

the woods!! a good old 70-100 yr old deciduous forest around a river valley is where my heart is home!!

......okay i feel like i probably can no longer be coy about the "pick between forest, ocean, mountain" games when 75% of my well-being is dependent on being surrounded by plants orz

Reading or writing? Why?

I've got to go with reading and here's why. I write at least in part because there's something I want to read. If I can't go back and read my own writing... that isn't fun. I started my dragon horde of fics to be able to read my fics offline or if the author deletes.

Best childhood moment?

You know, I dont have any grand, miraculous, fantastical stories, but I do have fond memories of what I would realize as an adult was basically LARPing with friends. Role-playing as characters, telling stories together and not feeling self-conscious about every step of it or how cringey or weird it seems.

Who do you feel most like yourself around?

So I think I can safely say I always feel myself when I talk to my mutuals and friends here online. But I gotta say that me and my best friend irl recently got to the point that we shared our feelings about characters and stuff. He told me about his celebrity crush for example and I told him about my crush on the Volturi guards. No one else irl has reached that trust level with me before so I think I can be most myself with him. He is like a little brother to me 🫶🏻 Btw: my real brother also knows about the volturi and he is very supportive so I got a lot of people I can be myself around!

What calms you down?

This particular time I got a lot of anxiety so I need a lot to calm myself down. At the moment that is watching twilight movies, playing AC odyssey and yapping about life with my irl and online friends. Also journaling has done a lot for me last year!

How do you feel best loved?

I think when people just send me stuff like “hey see this” or when they ask me how my day was. I feel loved the way I have two irl friends who check in so often and a few online friends I can just talk to about anything really ❤️

7. Oof, that's a difficult one.. I'd say uh, probably navy blue the most. It's such a peaceful colour. It reminds me of the depts of the sea, and cold nights when it's starting to get dark.

12! Awe. I'm doing good! A little stressed with college stuff, been procrastinating a whole lot with studying bcuz uh. Mental illness stuff, y'know how it is. But besides that, I've actually been getting a whole lot better on the mental health department this last few months!!! So that's definitely an upgrade. I'm also getting the hang of having fun drawing again, and I've found a game that brings me a lot of happiness and comfort so.. yeah. I'm kinda happy with how things are going (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡
