So much love and recognition to the people who don't know how they feel about recovering. To the people whose scars are fading away, and there's a sinking feeling, despite knowing that it's a good thing. To the people who miss when they were "worse," when they felt "broken." To the people who mourn losing their coping mechanisms, even the ones that were destructive, scary, or unpleasant. To those who feel guilty they're healing because their past self wasn't ready.

Whatever it is, there is nothing wrong with any of those feelings. It's a natural reaction, something you don't have ultimate control over. There is nothing shameful about yourself, and I admire the strength it takes to recognize how you feel, even the parts that do feel like the "wrong" reaction to a Good Thing.

Everyone talks about how expensive rent is but i dont ever see anyone talk about how expensive furniture and house stuff is. Saving up for like, a couch is insanely expensive. Buying one nice thing is fine but if you need several things suddenly the price builds up sooo high like I want to have a nice table and some nice chairs and maybe a nice lamp and suddenly that can all run me for 800eur easily at the cheapest.

Its pretty easy to tell if Heart or Mind are gaving s nightmare.

For Heart, he usually starts mumbling or muttering in his sleep, stratching as his chest or arms. He also looks extremely upset, usually.

For Mind, his breathing gets exponentially faster, and usually he starts shaking. He usually starts to grab at whatever’s closest to him.

Somehow, they both can just… recognize when each other is having a nightmare. They just know, even when the signs aren’t obvious. Especially when the nightmare is more like a flashback than anything else. They usually wake the other up and wait until they’ve both calmed down before going back to sleep.

oh yeah and then soul is just there LMAO- he does have a similar nightmare-radar instinct to heart and mind though.

When characters end up in hospital in fics, their loved ones often sneak them food against the wishes of the medical staff. Which I get! Hospital food sucks! Food as a metaphor for love is Very Good!

But PLEASE make sure that the person has been cleared to eat solid food/drink liquids first. Trauma like brain injuries can interfere with your ability to swallow food/drink, which can lead to choking and infections. If someone is on a modified diet (e.g., pureed food), then please don't encourage them to eat solid foods
