Hey Robi! For you - a Ziam misunderstanding caused by Louis’ impetuousness.  130. Good. I hope you feel bad. 

“I didn’t expect him to react like that, Liam, I swear!” 

"Oh fuck off, Louis! You do this shit all the time!” Liam dialed Zayn’s number again, certain it was futile. The calls were going straight to voicemail. It was obvious he’d turned off his phone.”Damn it! When will you learn to keep your damn mouth shut?”

“I thought he would be excited for you!” Louis flung up his hands, defensiveness turning to conciliation. “He’s always been so proud of everything you’ve accomplished, and the offer is a great opportunity for your career. How was I supposed to know he’d get upset? Honest Liam, I didn’t mean any harm. I’d take it back if I could.”

“Good. I hope you feel bad. It still doesn’t excuse the fact that you were meddling in things that didn’t concern you, especially when you didn’t know the whole story.” Liam closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to compose himself. “I didn’t accept the firm’s offer. I had no intentions of accepting it - not when it meant having to relocate to New York. Everything I love is here, and that includes Zayn!”

“You’re not leaving?” Liam spun around at the sound of Zayn’s voice behind him..Zayn stood in the doorway, his eyes red- rimmed, his face a mask of confusion. 

“Of course I’m not leaving. And even if I had considered the offer, I wouldn’t have made a decision without speaking to you first.” 

Zayn stepped further into the room, his gaze fixed on Liam. “And the other thing you said? About love? Did you mean it?” He reached for Liam’s hand.

 “I - uh,” Liam grimaced, shooting a death glare at Louis. “Yeah. This wasn’t how I imagined telling you, but yes. I’m in love with you. I’ve been in love with you for almost as long as we’ve been dating. Remember when we saw Infinity War and I cried when Tony died? You didn’t think I was being dramatic.” Liam glanced down at their intertwined fingers, then back to Zayn’s face, “You just held my hand and acknowledged my pain. That’s when I knew.” 

“Knew what?” 

“That you were it for me. You let me be a dork, let me by myself, whether that means three piece suits, or jeans and t-shirts. High class restaurants and five star dining, or the greasy kebab shop on the corner.”

Zayn stepped even closer, one hand braced against Liam’s chest, the other curling around the back of his neck. He leaned up,pressing a soft kiss against Liam’s lips, before he pulled away. “Take the promotion, Liam.” 

“But why would I? My life is in London.” Liam brushed his lips across Zayn’s, whispering, “You’re in London.” 

“And I can be in New York, or Cairo, or San Francisco, or anywhere else they might want to send you. I can write and teach anywhere your job takes you, if you’ll let me. Home is right next to you, wherever you are.”

Liam captured his mouth in a searing kiss full of promise. Lost in each other, they missed Louis slinking out the door.

Hey @sometimesambroswrites, here’s a little update on how your bunny is doing. He gets his ears scratched regularly by my younger daugther. She was born last year on the second anniversary of The Hug™ so I’m pretty sure she appreciates his blue and green colours. (His name is Louis, of course.)

I love that your crochet things are spread troughout the fandom. I saw that @nottooldforthisship‘s baby has a sleeping bunny, too!

green tea: where do you feel most at peace?

It’s more, for me, with whom do you feel most at peace (people who know me tend to know that I don’t... feel very peaceful most of the time, my brain and body are not a restful place to live). I feel at peace with my husband (and sometimes my kids). I feel at peace with my Squadron and my pocket friends (too many to name). I feel at peace with @cuethetommo, and @noeeon and @femmequixotic. I am so blessed. :-D

I will say - I feel more at peace when I’m snorkeling, when I’m doing yoga, and when I’m skiing. All physical things that put me in the moment.

july creative goals

thank you sus @lululawrence for procrastinating your june goals and tagging me back :P

i did pretty well with my june goals. i finished posting my new girl au, i figured out what i’m writing for the @1dsilverfoxfest, submitted my prompt for @1dreversebang and picked the prompt i want to write! i haven’t finished my fic for @1dastroficfest but i will! and it will be on time! @harryshouseficfest is up and running with quite a few sign ups--yay! i wasn’t able to finish the imaginary garden blanket because i ran out of yarn lol but i just got more and i’m close to finishing it. haven’t touched my sister’s blanket because i’m mad at her :D

now! for july!

finish my fic for @1dastroficfest in plenty of time for nic @louandhazaf to beta it before it’s due

get a good start on my fic for @1dsilverfoxfest

finish my imaginary garden blanket (tbf i’ll probably finish it tomorrow)

finish my other other blanket lol (it’s a block stitch blanket of mostly white yarn with about half of the joining rows done in a variegated rainbow yarn that’s been discontinued.)

Creative Goals 2022

Thanks @kingsofeverything and @somethingwittyorother for tagging me in this. For real. This post makes me think about the things I want to achieve this year, though, knowing me, I’ll set an alarm around August to check this post and see how I’m doing, lol.

So, my goals:

1. Knit this cardi. It will be my first real one, to let’s see how I do following the pattern. I chose a very light pink yarn, which is made on 60% wool, and we’ll see how my hands do with wool, bc I don’t usually like it, lol.

2. After that one, I’m gonna knit another cardi with different stitches but still easy, I think. I’ll make it in a lovely blue. After choosing the color I remembered that blue doesn’t look good for my skin tone, but I don’t care, I love blue.

3. I want to relearn bubble stitch in crochet and make a pillow case (because I can’t make another blanket, lol)

4. Learn mosaic stitch in crochet and make another pillow case (yeah, I’ve made a couple of pillow cases and they’re just so easy and fast to make, don’t judge me!! 😝)

5. I want to improve my circular knitting. I’m getting double pointed needles for my Secret Friend in a couple of days, so I won’t have more excuses to not make rounded hats, lol.

6. Once I’m confident with knitting on the round I want to work on my fair isle knitting, which will allow me to make nice and cool jumpers and hats next year.

Those are my goals for this year.

31. 3 random facts

Oooo facts! I love facts! Okay now I’m second-guessing myself because, does this want random facts about me? Or just... random facts in general?! Here are three facts for you!

1. A rainbow is a full circle of light. However, due to most people viewing a rainbow on the ground we only see a semi-circle or arc of the rainbow.

2. Some snails have BOTH gills and a lung?! And one snail has a built-in breathing straw!

3. Pandas are pigeon-toed and do not run very quickly.

40. favourite memory

I am really blessed because I have many, many wonderful memories. One memory I was thinking about recently was from last November, when I was up visiting my mom and dad - this ended up being just about a month before my dad died. We were having dinner, talking about my kids, and I told my dad a story about an interaction between my boys that made my dad laugh until he cried. I’ll always treasure that weekend, it was the last good interaction I had with my father before things went downhill with his health. xox
