omg well of course one of my favourite fic writers (you) loves Daughter! sorry if you already mentioned it before, but do you have top-3, top-5, whatever of their songs/albums? Reading fics with your Joels gives me a Home-like feel. Also, have you listened to Ex:Re (Elena Tonra's project) songs? personally (as an anon could be, ha) could recommend Romance, fucked me up a little in the best and worst way possible...

literally top 5 artists of always and forever for me. I said before but 'love' is one of the most terrible (in a good and altering way) heart break songs ever written. when I was going through it last year I could physically PHYSICALLY not listen to it bc that's just how fucking real it is.

ok top 5 choices is too hard but I'll say for writing/reading purposes not to disappear and music from before the storm are some of my go to's. especially 'how' and 'fossa' and I fucking love their instrumental stuff like 'departure' and 'flaws' like really literally all of music from before it's just so good and so so idk. I listen to it like I listen to rain it just melds in the brain so good

I have NOT listened to Elena's solo work holy shit I need to get on that. I will listen and report back!

I don't know if you go here but All Too Well (10 minute version) by Taylor Swift is a Nessian song, I can't elaborate more.

Oh and Romance by Ex:Re is a Nesta song, just, so much pain. I love that mess of a woman.

I did say on here once that I’m not a swiftie (sorry!) but I do know that song and yes I agree. The radio is constantly playing anti hero too and I do agree that’s a nesta song.

1. an album that is acclaimed, but I don't get the hype - not an album that i dislike by any measure, but the seldom seen kid (elbow) is really heavily praised, but i only love a few songs on it. in my professional, and totally knowledgeable opinion, it's Not That Great. (the fix + grounds for divorce are still good songs though).

3. an album that I consider a hidden gem - EX:RE (ex:re)!!!!!!!! elena tonra's (of Daughter) solo project - i love it lots and lots and lots. very atmospheric, a really nice listening experience (romance + crushing, in particular) <3
