soulmates meet in dreams every night, but your paths won’t cross in waking life until the time is right.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
whenever chan had a rough day, he would crave sleep more desperately than on his worst insomniac nights. today was one of those days. he couldn’t say that it was a bad day, but they were nearing the end of the tour, so his emotions and physical exhaustion were running high. he rushed through his nighttime routine, aching to fall asleep and see your face. he knew that, even if it were brief, being with you would keep him from completely falling apart.
“it’s about time you showed up!” you teased, grinning at chan when he walked into the living room you two designed.
“i’m really sorry, y/n,” chan sighed, falling onto the sofa, “these last few shows have messed with my sleep schedule more than i expected. i feel so bad that i haven’t been around as much.”
your heart broke when you saw his frown, “chan, i’m not mad. please don’t feel bad. i just miss hanging out with you, and this is the only place i can do it. i’m grateful for any time we get together during your busy schedule!”
“y/n…” chan’s frown turned into an adorable pout, “that makes me feel even more guilty. you can’t be so nice and understanding!”
you laughed when he put his head in his hands. you wrapped him into a hug, appreciating the giggles that escaped his lips at the close contact.
“i miss you more,” chan mumbled against your clothing.
you shook your head, which, surprisingly, chan noticed, “don’t disagree with me! it’s true!”
chan smiled widely when he saw you laughing. he paused to enjoy the sound of your laughter. then, once your laughs quieted, he held both of your hands in his.
“i promise that i’ll rest a ton once i’m back from tour, okay? i’ll be on break for a while, so i’ll make sure i am at your beck and call every time you sleep. i’ll do everything i can to make it up to you, to make up for the lost time. i swear.”
the combination of his grasp and sincere gaze was almost overwhelming. chan always made promises with his full heart, and you knew that to be especially true right now.
“i believe you,” you smiled, which prompted chan’s shoulders to relax, “thank you, chan. you don’t have to make it up to me. but you do need to get some more rest. i don’t want to have to scold you to take care of yourself the first time we meet!”
“you’re going to anyway, no matter what i do,” chan teased, laughing hysterically at your glare.
you moved the conversation into lighter topics, soaking up his presence. though the visit was once again fleeting, you two enjoyed your time together. it was always healing to be with chan. whether you spent your dreams seeing the world or relaxing in a familiar space, you woke up feeling rested, all thanks to spending the night with your other half.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
after chan returned from tour, both of you happily settled into your normal routine. he kept his promise of resting more, much to your delight. rather than having to rush conversations, you could enjoy each other’s company throughout the night, only parting when your alarm went off in the morning. it was easy, natural. of course, there were days when the sunlight hit your eyes and left you feeling empty because that action alone separated you from your person. most days though, you beamed with gratitude because chan was recovering from his strenuous tour and returning to the happy-go-lucky man you knew him to be.
last night’s dream was particularly wonderful. you and chan strolled around your favorite neighborhood while he told you all his favorite stories from tour. your heart always soared when you listened to the way he talked about seeing stays and joked about the antics he and the boys got up to while traveling. truly, the best part of it all was seeing him happy. the sparkle in his eyes and the upbeat tone of his voice were like a rush of sugar, the sweetest thing in the world. you confessed this to chan when a comfortable silence fell over you, and the last thing you heard before waking up was the sound of him giggling, highlighted by chan’s blushing skin.
perhaps it was chan’s sweetness that had you craving a treat as soon as you opened your eyes. stretching and soaking in the peacefulness of the late morning, you decided to go to your favorite bakery. it was the weekend, after all, and you wanted to do everything you could to maintain the happy mood chan put you in. after getting ready, you made your way to the bakery. the familiar route allowed your mind to wander, unsurprisingly to thoughts of your sweet soulmate.
the first dream you shared with chan was when you were six years old. you swung back and forth on the swingset in a quiet playground, covered nicely by the shade of a large tree. from beside you, a voice you had never heard before asked can i swing here too? you looked over, curious and unalarmed. when you saw the boy with curly brown hair smile shyly at you, you felt the tiniest of butterflies flutter in your stomach. you nodded, introducing yourself when he sat down on the swing next to you, i’m y/n. what’s your name? he grew more confident after hearing your voice, grinning charmingly as he said, i’m chan. it’s nice to meet you, y/n. you two watched the clouds float by, calling out the shapes you saw. in your childhood innocence and bravery, you suddenly asked, are you my soulmate? even as an adult, you could never forget the way chan’s ears turned bright red. how heartwarming it was for him to blush at the word “soulmate!” you didn’t need to hear him say yes, because the pink on his cheeks and the hopefulness in his eyes told you everything you needed to know. you wondered, heart pounding in your chest, if he’d look at you like that the first time he saw you in the real world.
the sound of the bakery door’s bell ringing snapped you out of your reverie. you inhaled the decadent smells of the shop, fresh baked warmth fit for a saturday. your lovestruck thoughts of chan could wait. you had business to attend to.
you greeted the employees, browsing the items on display. you took your time, selected your treats, and paid at the register. the place wasn’t too full, so you figured you could take a seat at a table near the window to appreciate the cozy ambience for a bit. you scanned for the closest empty table, nearly falling over when you locked eyes with someone.
well, not just someone. chan.
your mouth opened, but you couldn’t produce anything more than a few stammering syllables. chan’s eyes were wide with shock, quickly twinkling with happiness. soon, he started laughing. the sound bubbled out of him as though he were a child set free in a candy store, delighted beyond belief. you started laughing too. before people started to stare, chan waved you over to his table, pulling out a seat just for you.
“fancy seeing you here,” chan giggled through the cheesy line.
you rolled your eyes, smile never leaving your face, “don’t get me wrong. it is absolutely the best surprise in the world to see you here right now. but how does drinking a large coffee count as resting?”
chan lifted the coffee cup between you two, “oh this? i only got this because i couldn’t find a nap buddy anywhere. it looks like my luck might have changed though.”
he winked, making you blush and giggle like a teenager. not wanting to let him have all the fun, you grinned and replied, “i guess my first official duty as your soulmate is getting you to take a nap, isn’t it?”
now it was chan’s turn to blush. your body flooded with fondness, seeing the way his ears turned bright red at the word soulmate as it had when he first heard you say it. chan accepted your order when they called out your name, excitedly commenting on how good your taste was. the pep in his step was visible, though anyone who saw you would say that your pace matched his exactly. you two practically skipped the whole way back to your place, conversation flowing as though seeing each other was your plan all along.
“can we take a second to talk about how crazy this is? that we finally met? after all these years, we’ve been only a handful of miles away from each other, and we met today?”
chan’s expression was full of glee and disbelief, and you agreed with his sentiment fully, “they really aren’t lying when they say you won’t meet until the time is right,” you paused, reminding yourself that this moment was real, “i do think it’s ridiculous we’ve practically been neighbors this whole time though. no wonder it always felt strange when you were on tour.”
chan pouted, “don’t remind me…that’ll make me feel even worse about leaving…” then, a smile replaced his pout, “at least now we know that every time i come back from traveling, i’ll be coming home to you!”
you returned his smile, only looking away to unlock your door. you slipped off your shoes and made room for chan to come inside. while you’ve dreamt of chan your whole life, nothing was more surreal than seeing him in your home. he looked so much like he belonged there, as though he had been inhabiting the space for as long as you. yet you stood there, staring, unable to believe that your dream had finally come true.
“what are you staring at, mon rêve?” chan asked, smiling sweetly.
“it’s just…” you walked across the room, meeting him halfway, “i can’t believe you’re here.”
chan hummed in agreement. without another word, he intertwined your hands, looking at you intently. you led him to your favorite nap spot, adjusting it so everything was just right. instinctively, your bodies molded together, finding comfort in the shared embrace. mere seconds after thank you left chan’s lips, you both slipped into sleep, breaths falling into your natural harmony.
you weren’t sure how much time had passed when you opened your eyes. it was strange, almost unnerving, to wake up from a dream that did not include chan. before the panic or sadness could settle in, you looked over to the man in your arms. you stared in awe at his lips curling up ever so slightly, his hair in disarray, and his chest rising to the beat of the precious heart you belonged to. every little detail of chan was at your fingertips, and it was more beautiful than any dream you had ever had.

I'm in love with the immersion, world-building, and characters of your writing. I can't help but gush about how talented you are with your you are as it's obvious how much love you put in your work.
The routes that I've been going through with my mc and his love interest between Adam and Mason was intriguing, funny and sometimes left me flustered and secretly yearing for more as although the difference between the two is like night and day, there is also a sense of familiarity the two of them share as well such as when it comes to the people they cherish and how they can react when they're threatened especially when it comes to the mc when picked as a love interest.
My favourite moments in the series would be from your most recent book, book three. I was pensive and aching to reach out towards Adam, as I wanted him to realize that it's okay to feel vulnerable every now and then, and that it doesn't make him weak as I desperately tried to reach out to him, and how when I was about to confess that I had fallen for Mason until Felix came out of nowhere, cockblocking me, which led me to furiously mutter under my breath and mind "GOD F@#*ING DAMMIT, FELIX!!"
My heart also ached for how much Sin was in pain who didn't want to hurt anyone but felt like he had to, resigned and trapped with no way out. I didn't hesitate to find any way to help him in anyway I could to free him. That's why near the end of the book I let him leave to live his life the way he wanted to. I couldn't stop imaging about giving him something to not just remind him of our budding friendship, but to also remind him to stay true to himself, and remind him that although he did do some terrible things, they don't define who he is, and that he has the right to been and feel happy as well when the guilt of his actions starts to consume him, whilst I'll also run and shout towards him when he flies of and leaves as I wave with a smile, "Goodbye! Stay safe!" I wonder how he'll react towards the mc doing this.
I can't wait for book four, as this time the stakes are dire, and the mc can even fall for the villian! I can't wait!!
Sorry for my ramblings, but I truly love the series that you've created and I cannot wait for what you have in store for us all. I hope you have a wonderful day. 😊😊
Aah, what an incredible message! I honestly cannot even begin to tell you how much it means to me to read this! <3
It's interesting you saying about the similarities of A and M—It's kind of why it's always fun writing them when they end up paired off for a mission or something.
M is very honest with A (as can be seen with that rather cutting statement by a BFF M to a romanced A at the end of Book Three! But A kind of…gets M in some ways more than the others un Unit Bravo, and it's the same for M. They both know how in pain they are—emotionally or physically—and there's a very deep understanding and bond between them because of that.
I could go on about the unique bonds between each member of UB forever, so I'll stop not before it turns into an essay, hehe! :D
But yeah, I think Sin would love to hear that from the MC. No one has ever looked out for him or cared to before, so having someone they barely know do that for him would make a very big impact—and it does depending on your ending with him!
Thank you so so much for your wonderfully motivating message! <3

instead of you [part forty] || l.mh
pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, alcohol, mentions of sex (18+ ; mdni)
word count: 3.4k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
That night, you turned Jisung’s words over in your mind over and over again. He was wrong, you were convinced. You would love him the same no matter what. No matter if he asked you to end things with Minho or not. You told him as much but he didn’t seem to believe you.
You went back to your room shortly after your talk. You had walked a little more, stopped for dessert at a little shaved ice stand on the beach, and then turned back. Jisung showered first, then you, but only after going over your agreement again. What you did with Minho was your business, but it had to be kept a secret. You were still Jisung’s girlfriend for the duration of the trip. It was mainly about his parents anyway. Jisung hadn’t explicitly told you why having a girlfriend was so important to him but after spending so much time with his family you could guess why.
The next day, everyone piled into the cars and took the forty-minute drive back to Honolulu where you’d landed. Traffic was awful. You knew it took everything in Minho not to honk at the cars in front of him. You could see his knuckles turning white around the steering wheel from the back seat.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” he cursed as another F-150 cut him off.
You and Jisung traded looks but neither of you dared to say anything out loud. Even Felix’s grip on the armrest tightened when Minho swerved into the next lane to speed past the truck.
“We’re not in a rush,” you reminded him. You wanted to touch his arm, reassure him somehow, but you couldn’t.
“Yeah, Mom and Dad are way behind us now.”
“It’s not about speed,” he muttered. You weren’t really convinced about the speed thing. “It’s about the principle. These assholes shouldn’t be able to get away with driving like maniacs.”
“And what are you doing right now?” Jisung asked carefully.
His twin brother turned around in his seat to give him a warning look but to everyone’s surprise, Minho took a deep breath and actually stepped on the brakes. He only slowed down a little bit, less than five mph, but it was better than nothing.
“Sorry, I’m just so used to being late all the time.”
“We know,” Felix joked.
“You should see my girlfriend drive,” your best friend joked.
“Please, I passed my driver’s test on the first try,” you scoffed, making eye contact with Minho in the rearview mirror.
He shook his head at you and mouthed low blow. Next to you, Jisung was also shaking his head.
“Yeah, and I want to talk to whoever passed you because there’s no way they weren’t under the influence of something.”
“You’re in the fast lane to never getting a ride from me again,” you muttered.
Jisung raised his hands in surrender.
“Apologize,” Felix demanded, cutting in on your behalf.
“Yeah, apologize to me,” you agreed.
Jisung sighed and turned his full body toward you, taking both of your hands in his. “I’m sorry, my love. Please forgive me.”
You rolled your eyes. “Whatever.”
Jisung turned back toward his brothers. “I think I’m in the clear, guys.”
You smacked the back of his head.
-
The first stop in Waikiki was the ABC store. There was one on almost every block so you stopped at the first one you saw to buy snacks and drinks for the beach.
“How many musubis do you want?” you asked Minho, who was in charge of alcohol.
“How many are you getting?” he asked back with a grin.
He looked ridiculous with his arms full of beer, smirking at you like that.
“Two,” you said flatly.
“I’ll get two as well.”
You asked the others how many they wanted and raided the mini warmer for them before dumping them at the checkout counter with the rest of what the boys picked out. Dom paid and had the four of you take the bags back to the cars.
The next step was to find parking somewhere on the streets that were within walking distance to the beach. You had to split up from Jisung’s parents to do so because there was no way you were going to be able to find two open parking spots on the same road.
Once Minho parked, put money in the meter, and double-checked that the car was locked, the four of you slowly but surely made your way down to the shore where you met up with Nikki and Dom who had already picked out a spot in the sand.
You had never seen a beach so crowded before. There were people everywhere. And all of the available space was being taken up by beach chairs and umbrellas that you had to rent from one of the several stands stationed behind them. Some of the different colored umbrellas even overlapped with each other in an apparent turf war. You could only imagine what conversations between the rival attendants must be like.
The beach was still beautiful, of course. You were in Hawai’i. Any beach here was going to be breathtaking. Waikiki Beach attracted so many tourists because of its beauty.
“We rented four chairs,” Dom explained. “We figured not all of us would be sitting over here at once so we wouldn’t need six.”
Jisung nodded in understanding.
“Are you going to surf?” you asked.
“Probably,” he answered, looking over to his brothers. “I assume you won’t be?”
“I think I’ll sit this one out.”
You turned your foot over to look at your toe. Even though all of the sea urchin spines had dissolved, the marks from the injury were still fading. You couldn’t see yourself back on a board any time soon.
You were content to lay out in the sun with your book until Jisung wanted to wade in the water.
The boys left to rent surfboards and their parents headed in the opposite direction for a walk along the beach, leaving you alone with all of the stuff. You joked to Nikki and Dom that you would protect it with your life but in reality, you would hand it over if someone so much as looked at you threateningly.
You went to dig your book out from Jisung’s backpack but accidentally grabbed his instead. It was the one you had already read and annotated for him. Out of curiosity, you opened to where he left off to see what part he was at and were surprised to see his handwriting scrawled in the margins of the most recent page.
He hadn’t stopped annotating it. Even after everything, even when he was simmering with anger, he was still writing you little notes and responding to the ones you had left. You weren’t supposed to read them before he was done so you quickly closed it back and shoved it into the bag again before retrieving the book that was actually yours.
You took a brief look back up at the water to see how the boys were doing but there were so many surfers that it was hard to pick them out.
“Which one’s yours?”
The voice beside you startled you, making you jump a little before you realized someone had taken the seat next to you.
You weren’t sure where she had come from but a girl who looked to be about your age was perched on one of the chairs the Hans had reserved. She was pretty, really pretty. Head full of curls and freckles dusted across her cheeks. The tangerine-colored bikini she was wearing looked amazing against her skin and you weren’t sure whether you were more jealous of her or attracted to her.
“Huh?” you asked.
“Which one’s yours?” she repeated.
“Oh.” You squinted at the waves, trying to zero in on Jisung. “Uh, blue wetsuit in the group of three off to the side.”
The girl followed your gaze and nodded when she found him. “They just got out there, right?”
“Yeah, we only got here a few minutes ago.” You noticed the camera dangling around and realized she must be out there for someone too. “Um, which one is yours?”
“Long hair, kind of far out. He’s in the big cluster of surfers in the swell.”
Her boyfriend was easy to spot. He was paddling in the direction of an upcoming wave.
“Do you guys come out here often?” you asked.
She nodded, curls bouncing. “David’s lived in Kaneohe like all his life, which is like fifteen minutes from here so it’s super convenient. The North Shore isn’t as crowded but the waves are practically nonexistent in the summer,” she explained. “What about you guys?”
“We’re on vacation.” You were embarrassed to admit that but it wasn’t like you could lie. You didn’t know the island at all. You also didn’t want to risk mentioning that it hadn’t been your choice to come here and offend her if she thought you were implying that her home state was the worst or something.
“Oh, how fun!” she exclaimed. Ok, well that was a positive reaction at least.
“My boyfriend’s family was nice enough to invite me along,” you added, wanting at the very least to establish that it hadn’t been your idea.
“Holy shit, that is nice of them.”
“I know,” you agreed.
“Well, while you’re here you should definitely check out the Pillbox hike. It’s a little brutal if you aren’t used to hiking uphill but the views are totally worth it.”
“I’ll be sure to mention it to him! We have a free day tomorrow so maybe we’ll do that, thank you.”
You would not be going on the hike. You hated hiking and heights but you would still mention it to Jisung in case the boys wanted to go.
She smiled but then something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention and she was standing up to leave.
“Sorry, I promised my boyfriend that I would get some shots of him today and he’ll be pissed if I miss these waves.”
She threw you a wave over her shoulder as she jogged off. You waved back, calling out that it was nice to meet her. You never got her name.
You only managed to get through a couple of pages of your book before another person approached your chairs. This time, it was Jisung. He had come up to check on you.
“Make a new friend?” he asked as he shook water out of his hair like a dog.
“Oh yeah, did you see that girl talking to me?”
“Thought she might be trying to put the moves on you.”
“Oh my god, how many times do I have to tell you I’m not Bella Swan? Not everyone who talks to me is into me.”
“She was your type, though.”
“You say that about all girls.”
“Because that’s your type.”
You rolled your eyes at your best friend. “Either way, she wasn’t interested. She has a boyfriend. She was just asking me if I had a partner out there too.”
“That doesn’t mean she didn’t think you were cute,” he pointed out.
“You’re so annoying,” you groaned. “I don’t need a wingman anymore.”
He made a face. “That’s right, you’re fucking my brother,” he said, sounding disgusted. You couldn’t blame him.
“Do you have to announce that to the entire beach? I’m supposed to be your girlfriend, remember?”
Jisung shrugged and plopped himself down on the chair next to yours. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to get it out of his eyes. Because it was wet, it had taken on a mind of its own. You had witnessed Jisung try to tame his hair after a shower on several occasions. It usually ended with him just waiting for it to dry so that he could style it and then making you late to wherever you were supposed to be going.
“Are you going to go back out there?” you asked.
“Probably. Wanna join?”
“Very funny.”
“I was being serious.”
“Oh. Well, no thanks.”
“I figured but I just wanted to make sure.”
“You’re sweet.”
-
The boys surfed for a couple of hours before coming in to eat the musubis and snacks you bought earlier. Their parents returned around the same time and you all ate together.
Afterward, Jisung offered to wade around in the shallow water at the edge of the beach with you.
“You have to get in,” he insisted. “It’ll cool you down.”
“Okay,” you agreed.
You didn’t need any more convincing. You had wanted to get in anyway.
“Lix, Minho, do you want to come with us?” Jisung asked.
They looked at each other and shrugged. “Sure.”
The four of you wove through the sea of beach chairs down to the shore where the remnants of bigger waves lapped at the sand. The water was crystal clear, apart from the frothy white foam atop the waves. It fizzled against the hot sand when the waves crashed against the beach, lingering still even when the water subsided.
There were several groups of people in the ocean as well but it was less crowded than the beach. Families with small children were gathered right by the shore, the parents mingling with each other as the kids played with wet sand and beach toys. You wished you could remember what it was like to be that young. To meet a stranger and be best friends in the blink of an eye.
There were less and less people the further out from the shore you got. Fathers teaching older kids how to boogie board, teenagers jumping in the waves as they gossiped with each other.
You weren’t sure how long you spent in the water but before long, Nikki and Dom were waving from the beach to get your attention.
“They’re either saying it’s time to go, or they’re ditching us,” Jisung said, squinting and making a ‘what?’ gesture with his shoulders.
“It’s really a fifty-fifty shot,” Felix added.
“I think they want us to come in,” Minho guessed.
Minho was proven right mere seconds later when Dom beckoned you to join them.
-
The latter half of the day was spent walking around the city. Being the center of tourism on the island meant Waikiki had a lot of shopping. You had never seen so many high-end stores in one place before. You did some window shopping while the Hans did some shopping shopping. Practically everything in every single shop was out of your price range. You weren’t expecting otherwise but seeing the numbers on the backs of the price tags still hurt your heart.
You could tell a few of the sales associates recognized Minho from the way their eyes would get big when they saw him. They’d lean over and whisper to each other behind his back. Even though he couldn’t hear them you knew he knew it was happening. It made you feel kind of bad for him. Kind of.
You ate dinner at some restaurant attached to the lobby of a hotel. It was on the water, which was nice, but it was just as crowded as the beach had been. The poor servers were so swamped that it took over an hour to get your food. No one minded, of course, but by the time Minho laid his credit card on top of the bill it was dark outside.
“Do you remember where we parked?” Minho asked you as you
“Yeah, but I don’t know how to get there from where we are right now.”
“So you don’t remember where we parked.”
“No, I remember where we parked. But we’ve walked around so much that I don’t know how to get there.”
Minho shook his head at you. “You should always pay attention to where you’re going. It can be dangerous if you don’t know where you are.”
“Why should I? That’s what I have you guys for.”
“What if we weren’t here?”
“There’s a parked car option on my GPS.”
“What if your phone was dead?”
“What is wrong with you?”
“I just want you to be safe!”
You didn’t want to hear any more. “Jisung, your brother is being an asshole!”
Your best friend, who had been walking alongside Felix, jogged up to meet you when you called for him.
“What’d he do?”
“I was just trying to-”
“I didn’t ask you,” Jisung cut in, glaring at Minho.
“He’s giving me a hard time because I don’t know how to get back to the car from here,” you explained.
“We can just use the GPS app,” Jisung said.
You turned to Minho with a smug grin. “See?”
“I can’t believe you told on me,” he muttered under his breath.
“Get used to it,” you hummed.
-
The last day on Oahu was a free day. You told Jisung about the pillbox hike that the girl from the beach had suggested and he woke up early to do it with Felix and Minho. He came back raving about it and showed you a bunch of pictures that made you feel a little sick to your stomach because of how high it looked.
“Thank god I didn’t go with you guys,” you sighed. “I’d be freaking out even if I stayed at the bottom, just thinking about you up there. There aren’t any handrails or guards to keep you from falling-”
“We were fine,” he assured you. “I didn’t even show you the pictures of us on top of the box.”
“You climbed it?”
“I mean, we’d already climbed the mountain. What’s a little concrete box? Everyone else was doing it.”
You held a hand to your heart like a scandalized middle-aged woman. “I don’t think I want to know anything else.”
Jisung took one look at you and laughed. “That’s probably for the best.”
You did some pre-packing at the hotel before joining his brothers to do some exploring. Like Jisung, they had showered after their hiking expedition. All three of them were sporting still-wet hair that was dripping onto their shirts like kids sitting in church service after their baptism.
You walked around the resort first, checking out all of the pools and hot tubs for later that night. Jisung told his parents that he’d cook for the family and he’d dragged Felix and Minho with him to get groceries earlier. Apparently, Minho said he would help grill while Jisung made some of the side dishes upstairs. You were interested to see how that would turn out. You didn’t have to wait long to find out.
You walked by the lagoons next, slipping into the resorts along the shore to scope them out. You were surprised to see that some of them were nicer than the one you were staying at. You assumed the Hans had chosen whatever the best money could buy was but maybe they were a more financially conscious family than you’d thought.
“This is the Disney hotel,” Minho whispered in your ear as you passed one of the pools. “It’s crazy expensive to stay here for just a night. Like a standard room is over six hundred dollars.”
“Are you serious?”
“Unfortunately. I mean, we probably could have gotten a discount but someone would have to pull a lot of strings and then a handful of people would know exactly where I’m going to be and when and we would have had to hire security... it was just easier to book somewhere else.”
“Isn’t it kind of dangerous to be walking around here in the open then?”
Minho shrugged. “I like to live life on the edge.”
You snorted. “Clearly.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Ji showed me the pictures from your hike earlier.”
His eyes widened. “He did?”
“Uh huh.”
“Shit.”
“You know, I could point out how hypocritical it is to lecture me about safety one day and then do shit like that the next, but I won’t.”
“You’re the one that told us about the hike!”
You ignored him. “Does your agent know you were climbing mountains this morning?”
He narrowed his eyes at you and leaned closer to your face. “No, and she never will.”
“You seem pretty sure of that...”
“You don’t have her number,” Minho said like he was trying to reassure himself rather than call your bluff.
“Not yet, I don’t.”
“Is that a threat?”
“It’s a promise.”
He gulped. “Why do I get the feeling that we’re not talking about my agent anymore?”

————————
AFC Richmond’s hot streak just…kept…going.
They were killing it, both at matches and training. More importantly, they were happy. Joyful, even. Which meant everyone else was too.
More and more fans started showing up to watch training till eventually, the stands were packed. Y/n had begun to come out more often, genuinely enjoying watching the boys practice, and had found a way to make it a PR matter. She helped get the crowd riled up, engaging with them and encouraging them to cheer and chant for their players. She’d collected whatever merchandise they had a surplus of, pens or coffee mugs usually, and made a game of handing them out to the fans that came. Ted had encouraged her to keep doing it, it only further fostered the atmosphere he wanted to create.
Y/n hurried upstairs one day in particular, having missed the alarm set on her phone while she was hauling a bag of freebies from the gift shop to her office. She was never late and felt like she was going to burst into flames for being so.
“Whoa,” Ted called, just a few steps behind her, “Someone call Allyson Felix. Let her know she better watch her back.”
Y/n hung back on the landing to catch her breath, falling back in step once Ted caught up. “We ran out of the mugs the other day but I’ve got coasters and coozies for this afternoon.”
“Ooh,” Ted exclaimed, “You’ve been killin’ it in the swag department, missy. Everyone’s a little more hyped knowing they get a prize just for participation.”
Y/n grunted, “Trophies for doing nothing is also why my generation hates work, so don’t applaud me yet.”
They entered Rebecca’s office laughing only to find the atmosphere contrasting their good moods. Spread out on the couch, Keeley had her face buried in Rebecca’s lap.
“Uh-oh,” Ted announced his presence, “When girl-talk turns into girl-hug, you know that either means something horrible’s happened, or absolutely nothing at all.”
“Please say nothing at all,” Y/n set her purse down and grabbed the takeaway box Rebecca had ordered for her.
“Jack’s ghosting Keeley,” their boss explained.
“Oh, no,” Ted frowned.
Y/n sunk into the cushion beside Keeley, rubbing her shoulder as the blonde snuggled back under Rebecca’s arm.
“First, she wants to go on a break,” Ted recounted, “And now the old digital Irish goodbye. Which is a term I never really understood. ‘Cause I got a buddy back home named Seamus O’Malley, and that son of a gun hugs folks goodbye for, like, twenty minutes before he leaves anywhere.”
Y/n smiled down at her salad. The last few months may have softened her, but decades could pass and Ted would remain the same.
“Yeah,” he looked to Keeley, “Sorry to hear about that. Hey, I did make you some biscuits, you know, just to soften the blow.”
“Oh, thanks Ted,” Keeley took the pink package from him and opened it. Her eye blew open, “What? There’s like forty quid in here.”
“Well, I didn’t know you were gonna be here till this morning,” Ted explained, “No time to do anything special so I just tossed a little cash in there.”
Keeley nodded, “That is very sweet. Thank you, Ted.”
“Ain’t nothin’ to it but to do it,” he shrugged, turning to Rebecca, “Hey, boss. You mind if I skip the press conference today? Michelle and I got these parent-teacher meetings I don’t wanna miss.”
Rebecca shrugged and smiled, “Of course, Ted. Family first.”
“I appreciate it.”
“So…” Y/n trailed off, “Who’s next in line?”
A metaphorical lightbulb went off over Keeley’s head. “We could have Roy do it,” she suggested, “I know he hates that stuff, but he is really good at it.”
Y/n struggled to see the “good” part of how Roy handled the press. On her last count, he’d cussed out no more than six reporters.
“I mean, you know, fine by me,” Ted replied.
Rebecca agreed, “Great idea.”
“Look at you,” Ted smiled at Keeley, “Heartbroken, but still kickin’ butt.”
“I mean, I’m not heartbroken,” Keeley fidgeted in her seat, “It’s more like heart-bent.”
“Heart-bent,” Ted mused, “I like that. It’s a great title for a country song. You know, like,” he began to sing, “I’m heart-bent, in my apartment, ‘cause all that you left, was your fart scent.”
“Alright. Goodbye, Ted,” Rebecca cued him up to leave, though Keeley was laughing and Y/n was smiling through a bite of spinach.
“And now that you’re gone,” Ted continued on his way out to the hall, “I wrote this song, ‘cause all you left was, the smell of your farts.”
Y/n pointed to the door with her fork, “Speaking on behalf of our homeland, we can do better than that.”
Rebecca snorted and Keeley rested her head on Y/n’s shoulder.
“Right,” she held out her hand, “Show me.”
Keeley handed it over and Y/n bore witness to the mile long chain of texts her boss had sent their boss. It was embarrassing to say the least, but Y/n wasn’t about to kick Keeley when she was already laid out.
“Wow,” she strained as she scrolled.
“I know,” Keeley moaned.
“It’s like a river,” Y/n mused as she surfed the rest of the blue bubbles, “Can you promise one thing?”
Keeley hummed.
Y/n handed her phone back, “No more. She’s the one that stomped on you, she gets to do the groveling.”
And grovel she should. From what Keeley had told Y/n, Jack had handled their conversation regarding the video leak and the so-called “statement” horrifically. Jack seemed offended that Keeley had dared to have a meaningful relationship before her. It was jealousy where jealousy didn’t belong.
Whereas Y/n was still struggling to comprehend Jamie and Keeley ever having been together.
“I won’t, I won’t,” Keeley threw her phone on the other side of the couch, “I’m done.”
“Good,” Y/n nodded firmly.
“And that’s all you’ve got to say?” Keeley asked with a raised brow, “Nothing else?”
Y/n purposefully filled her mouth with a far-too-large bite of lettuce. She had plenty to say on the matter, Keeley knew damn well, but she was determined not to do so unless there was a confirmed break-up. After all, Jack was still their boss.
“Nope,” she mumbled.
Rebecca and Keeley descended into a fit of snorts.
Later, the three women were were seeing Keeley out to her car. Roy was just coming down the hall when they came off the last step.
“Oh, speak of the devil,” Rebecca said.
“Okay,” Roy replied before looking to his ex. An awkward silence came about for three seconds, though it felt like much longer. “Keeley.”
“Roy,” she nodded back to him.
Rebecca, blissfully, pulled them out. “So I need you to fill in for Ted at today’s press conference, if that’s okay.”
Roy didn’t hesitate in his reply, “Fuck no.”
Keeley, Rebecca and Y/n were just as unflinching as they waited for the answer to change.
“I mean,” Roy backtracked, “Why can’t Ted do it?”
His eyes went from woman to woman, waiting for one of them to answer or crack or…something.
Or nothing.
“I mean,” he pasted an unnatural grin to his face, “I’d love to.”
Y/n pointed a finger and nodded.
“Wonderful,” Rebecca replied, looking to Keeley and Y/n, “Shall we?”
The three of them left Roy in the hall, waiting for the inevitable reaction.
“Fuck,” he said rather loudly.
“I heard that,” Rebecca smirked.
“You still have my word,” Y/n remarked to her boss, “Send me up there, I’ll give them all they want to know. Sell everybody out. We’ll be on every front page in the country.”
Rebecca laughed, though Keeley missed it entirely. She was too busy glancing back at Roy.
—————————
Later in the afternoon, with the press conference a few minutes away from starting, Y/n swung by her office to pick up the notes she’d jotted down for Roy.
As she grabbed her notebook, she noticed there was a tea sitting next to her laptop.
She picked it up and examined it. It had come from the café, her name was written on the side in the big loopy handwriting Delilah, the barista, used. Assuming she wasn’t being set up to be poisoned, she took a sip and accepted the anonymous kindness.
Y/n made it down to the press room, meeting Higgins in the back and waiting for Roy to enter.
The door opened, and Beard walked through.
Y/n’s face dropped, “Um…”
“Where’s Ted?” Higgins asked.
“Where’s Roy?” Y/n corrected, “He’s supposed to be filling in.”
Beard took his seat at the desk, “Good afternoon. I know you all were expecting Ted, but he couldn’t make it today. I, however, will be happy to answer any and all questions, so,” he gestured to the desk filled with recorders and phones, “Fire away.”
Y/n took a breath, it wasn’t so bad. Beard, while not always the most sociable, was well-spoken and highly intelligent. He might have even been a better choice than Roy for his mood alone.
She regretted every thinking such a thing within two minutes.
“Look, man,” Beard sat back in the chair, “We can debate all day, Zeppelin versus Eagles, but one thing that is absolutely not up for debate is Walsh versus Page.”
“Oh, come off it,” the man fired back, “You honestly think it’s Walsh over Page?”
Y/n whispered to Higgins, “How did this go so far off the rails this fast?”
“I don’t know,” he replied.
She handed him her tea, “Hold this.”
Y/n quietly and calmly exited the room, breaking into a light jog in the hall and up the stairs. She knocked on Rebecca’s open door but didn’t bother to be invited in.
“Hi,” she greeted quickly, “Um, did something happen to Roy in the two hours since he was last seen?”
Rebecca’s brow lowered, “No, why?”
Y/n thinned her lips to a line, “You might wanna come downstairs.”
Without question, Rebecca followed her down and into the press room. Things had taken another turn in the minute Y/n had disappeared for.
“That is not what I said, Gary,” Beard angrily pointed to the reporter in question.
“I have your quote right here,” Gary chuckled.
“You did say it, Coach,” another on agreed.
“Stay out of this, Lloyd,” Beard snapped.
“Don’t shout at Lloyd,” Sarah, another reporter, said.
Y/n flattened her palm against her forehead.
“You said, and I quote,” Gary looked down at his notes, “‘Joe Walsh is a better guitarist than Jimmy Page.’ That’s what you said!”
Beard leaned back in his chair, exasperated by the fight he’d started. “Fine! I said it,” he spread his arms out in defeat, “But what I meant was that Joe Walsh, underrated. Jimmy Page,” he got stuck on the last word in his rage, “Overrated!”
The room was arguing amongst itself.
“I mean, Joe Walsh is a poet,” Beard went on, “Jimmy Page is a fucking court stenographer on Adderall.”
As the room digested the answer in shock, and amusement, Y/n reached out to Higgins, retaking her tea and taking a large swig as if it were wine.
“Are you out of your mind?” Gary laughed, “Page could beat Walsh with one string.”
“What do you mean, beat him?” Beard replied angrily, “It’s not a competition, man. It’s art, you fucking Neanderthal!”
Y/n, Higgins and Rebecca surged forward at the same time.
“Hello,” Rebecca cheerily announced, trying to draw the attention to herself while Higgins grabbed Beard, who was still arguing with Gary. “Hello! Hello!”
Y/n acted as a shield for Higgins as he walked Beard out of the room, dropping him in the side hall. But not before Beard could get in one last insult.
“‘Stairway to Heaven’” is a glorified fingering exercise, and you all know it!”
Higgins smiled at the press as he shut the door, Y/n blindly reaching behind to help him push against Beard’s weight.
“I can’t think of the last time I was able to be here with all you absolutely…” Rebecca spoke loudly over the noise of Beard still yelling into the door. Y/n and Higgins blocked his face from view. “Just brilliant members of the press down here in the pressroom. So with that in mind, I would love to take some questions. Come on,” Rebecca spread her arms welcomingly, “Absolutely ask me anything.”
“Oh, shit,” Y/n mumbled. This wasn’t any better.
Marcus from The Independent announced himself when Rebecca nodded towards him.
“Hello there, Marcus,” she greeted, “How are you?”
“Very well.”
“Good, good.”
“Miss Welton,” Marcus asked, “In your opinion, who’s the greatest classic rock guitarist of all time?”
Rebecca stuttered a bit, stuck on the question that had her blanking out on any rock she’d ever listened to.
“The, uh…” she struggled, “The…guy from Cream.”
Higgins snorted, Y/n buried her head in her hand as the pressroom quietly and collectively laughed.
“Uh…” Rebecca began.
“I think,” Y/n came to stand beside her boss, grinning abnormally large, “That in the wake of our recent wins, we’re all still a bit hazy from the excitement. I think we’re going to call this for the day, but we’ll be ready and waiting for you after the match this Sunday against Brighton. Thank you so much!”
Y/n placed her hands on Rebecca’s back and marched her towards the door.
“Uh, Ms. Y/l/n,” Marcus spoke up, “Care to comment on who you think the greatest guitarist is?”
“Keith Richards,” Y/n answered, “Purely because he’s still standing.”
Whatever reaction she’d caused, she didn’t hear them. Her and Higgins had gotten Rebecca safely out into the hall.
“Sorry about that,” she shuddered.
“You’re alright,” Y/n patted her shoulder.
“‘The guy from Cream,’” Higgins giggled.
“Yes, all right,” Rebecca twisted to face Higgins, “Don’t start with me, Leslie! I panicked,” she took a seething breath, “I’m going to murder Roy Kent.”
“If you don’t, I will,” Y/n exhaled.
“Look, Roy not doing press is just Roy being Roy,” Higgins stated.
Y/n gestured to the door they’d just come out of, “And look where it got us.”
“Well, I am sick of Roy being Roy,” Rebecca spat, hands on her hips, “So it’s time for Rebecca to be Rebecca.”
Without another word, she marched off in the direction of the training room. The boys would nearly be done with their afternoon workout.
“Oh, yes,” Higgins agreed, “Absolutely- I couldn’t,” he turned with Y/n to watch Rebecca strut away from them, “Yeah. There you go. Yes! Ooh!”
Y/n breathed a laugh, if anyone rubbed off on her from Richmond, she hoped it was Rebecca. There was a fierceness inside her that Y/n had never possessed in her life, but she’d have liked to.
“Stay for the aftermath?” Higgins asked.
“Oh, definitely,” Y/n nodded. She wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to stare down Roy.
Quick enough, Rebecca marched back up the stairs, Roy following thirty seconds later. While Higgins’ best frown was still his worst smile, Y/n glared at the coach unflinchingly. He did his best to ignore them both on the way up to Rebecca’s office.
“Another day,” Y/n mumbled, her and Higgins heading their separate ways for the rest of the afternoon.
As she walked down the hall, some of the boys came out of the training room. She high-fived them before coming up on Jamie, bringing up the rear.
He flicked the cup of tea, still in Y/n’s hand, and smirked. “Cheers.”
Y/n looked back and met his waiting gaze, the two of them sharing a smile. The days at Nelson Road grew more unpredictable the further into the season they got, but some things were as constant as breathing.
——————
The day of the Brighton match started as normal as any other. Y/n made the familiar trek to the owner’s box, taking a seat between Keeley and Higgins, and braced for the ninety minutes of nerves she both hated and loved.
“Oh, it’s Jack,” Keeley announced as she scrolled her phone. The three of them sat to attention as they waited to hear the text, “She’s saying that she’s in Argentina…for the next couple of months.”
“Ouch,” Higgins commented. Y/n scoffed while Rebecca pulled Keeley into her side.
“Well,” Keeley took a breath, “I think our break is actually an ‘up.’ So now that Jack is officially my ex,” she looked between the group, “Please feel free to say any of the things that you didn’t like about her.”
Rebecca sighed, “Well-“
“Ooh,” Higgins chimed in, “Her handshake was way too firm. You know-“ he groaned and grunted as he imitated the action, “I get it. You’re friendly. Good riddance.”
Y/n bit down on her bottom lip, trying to keep the comments from flying out her mouth.
“Something you’d like to say, Y/n?” Keeley asked knowingly.
Shaking her head, she tried to go the diplomatic route. “Just want to watch some football.”
Keeley slowly nodded, staring out at the field with her.
“And she’s a fucking asshole,” Y/n muttered as low as she could to let only Keeley hear it. They smiled to one another.
Right off the bat, the Greyhounds were struggling. Isaac, usually so focused, was off his game. He cost them a goal kick and earned Brighton a corner instead. It wasn’t like him and the fans were letting their displeasure be known.
Even worse, when Colin lost an easy goal, Isaac went after him. The two of them argued until Jamie and Sam, playing peacemaker, held Isaac back from following Colin any further.
Y/n frowned, something had to have happened before the match. The boys were far more in sync than this, and they sure as hell didn’t fight each other.
The first half ended on the heels of Dani just nearly making a goal, only for Brighton to block it. The score was 1-nil as the Greyhounds trudged back to the locker room.
Higgins, Y/n, Rebecca and Keeley went silent as the fifteen minute break began. There wasn’t anything to say.
Y/n’s eyes were glazing over the crowd on the opposite side of the stadium when a commotion started. She followed the noise to the tunnel to see Isaac, leaping into the stands and grabbing one of the fans.
“Oh my gosh,” she mumbled. Keeley, Rebecca and her all rose to their feet.
With the distance, the scene could hardly be seen properly, but it appeared that Isaac was holding the fan by the shirt and yelling in his face. The ref had never pulled the red card out so fast. It was unprecedented and unacceptable.
Higgins rushed out his seat, the women moving to make room for him down the aisle. Y/n’s eyes followed Roy as he helped Isaac down and started shouting something to the security guards.
The scene died down as quickly as it began. The fan was escorted out of the stadium and the Greyhounds disappeared into the tunnel.
“What the hell was that?” Rebecca finally asked.
“I don’t know,” Keeley breathed.
Internally, Y/n began to feel some sort of panic build. She couldn’t decipher the complexities of it, all she knew was she had to move.
“Where are you going?” Rebecca asked as Y/n slid past them.
“I don’t know,” she mumbled Keeley’s same answer, already climbing the stairs.
She hurried through the suite, past all the fans opening social media to post that they’d witnessed the fight themselves. Past all the fans in the concourse exclaiming how McAdoo was about to fucking kill the twat. Y/n couldn’t hear any of it as she made for the personnel-only entrance into the building.
When she made it to the empty hall outside the locker room, she faltered. Her immediate reaction would be to run in, but she knew it was far from appropriate. Her hand instinctively reached toward the door, even with feet of space between her and it. She couldn’t.
Nearly as soon as she’d thought it, Isaac came bursting through the door, unaware of her presence as he stalked to the boot room. He slammed that door shut and Y/n flinch at the sound.
Ten seconds later, Roy came out much more peacefully, but still with purpose.
Y/n stepped forward, her movements and her voice hesitant, “Hey-“
Roy could see the concern etched deeply in her face and touched her arm as he passed. “I got it.”
It wasn’t often that Roy wasn’t scowling, wasn’t speaking like he smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. For him to speak softly, to voluntarily comfort someone, he had to have meant it.
Y/n stood frozen as he shut the door to the boot room, all the pieces of her reaction making sense suddenly. After Isaac had attacked the fan, her first thought hadn’t been about PR. It hadn’t been about the clean-up her and Keeley would have to do, the stress of it all. It hadn’t had anything to do with what the internet would think or the fans or anyone.
Her first thought was to wonder if Isaac was okay.
She knew by now she cared about AFC Richmond. She had a special affection for Rebecca and their weekly tea. Keeley had cracked her way past Y/n’s gates simply by being herself. Ted was the nicest slice of home she could have gotten.
This was different. This was caring so deeply for the team that she was standing in the hall, unmoving until she knew they were all alright.
It was no longer about letting them in, Y/n knew, it was about how deeply etched in her heart they were.
She waited, waited, the whole fifteen minutes, hearing only the muffled mumbles of the team’s conversation through the doors. When they cheered and exited the room, their spirits seemingly lifted, none of them even noticed her against the wall.
Y/n moved to stand outside the boot room, catching Colin and Trent as the last ones to exit the locker room. Trent threw her a small salute that she matched, before heading out to his own seat. She still wasn’t leaving until she knew all was well.
Eventually, Roy came out of the boot room with Isaac in tow. The disgraced captain glanced up at her as he passed, Y/n made a point to squeeze his arm. He didn’t flinch at her touch, but didn’t make a point of lingering as he headed to the locker room to wait the game out.
As Y/n inhaled, Roy nodded, “He’s alright.”
“Okay,” she whispered.
The two of them walked back to their separate paths, Roy heading out to the pitch and Y/n heading back to the owner’s box.
The match turned around after that, tremendously so. The Greyhounds had hit the pitch united once more, particularly Colin, who’d assisted in both goals that had led them to victory. Balance seemed to have been restored, and while Isaac would still be the most memorable part of the game, Colin’s efforts wouldn’t be forgotten.
And, as always, Y/n’s work began the moment the ref called it.
There were strict instructions from both Keeley and her to Higgins not to grab any of the players. They’d no doubt be asked about their captain’s actions and none of them needed to deal with that stress. Ted was the only one who could comfortably handle it.
They waited with Rebecca in the back of the room, Higgins and Trent joined them at the last minute.
“He’s on his way,” Higgins said.
“Thank you, Leslie,” Rebecca replied before turning to Keeley and Y/n, “You gave Ted some talking points?”
Keeley frowned, “No. I haven’t done that in a long time.”
“Not for a while,” Y/n added.
The side door opened before Rebecca could truly begin to worry. Where Ted should have strolled in, Roy did instead.
“Fuck,” Y/n whispered, punctuated by a gag from Higgins.
Roy took a seat at the desk, staring down the entire room. No one was wearing their surprise well.
“Yeah, alright, you got me today,” he growled, “Any questions?”
Every reporter’s hand went up, all of them shouting to get Roy’s attention.
“Fucking hell,” he mumbled before pointing to one of them, “You. Five-o’-clock shadow head.”
Gary, self-proclaimed Jimmy Page fan, stood up. “Coach Kent, do you or the organization condone what Isaac McAdoo did today?”
“What a stupid fucking question,” Roy was quick to reply, Rebecca, Higgins and Y/n all screwing their eyes shut. “‘Course we don’t. What Isaac did was awful. He was lucky he only got a red card.”
“Okay,” Gary relented, “So why’d he do it?”
Roy chuckled, looking like he was nearly about to say something before stopping himself. Instead of cursing or snarking, he settled back in his chair.
“When I was first coming up through Sunderland, there was an old-timer on the team,” Roy began, “Local guy. He and his wife were about to have their first kid. So during training one day, I made a joke that statistically, I was probably the real dad. And the boys fell about laughing, but he went fucking nuts. He battered me. Properly. I had a black eye, chipped tooth, three broken ribs…I couldn’t play for six games. He got booted off the team. After that,” Roy shook his head, “No club would go near him.”
“Then in the summer, after I could breathe again,” he went on, “I bumped into him in a pub. And I got the chance to say sorry for my stupid fucking joke. And he got to tell me he and his wife had lost the baby a month before all that went down. He hadn’t told anyone. Kept it all inside.”
The room had fallen hush, save for the occasional click of a camera.
“Look, I get that some people think if they buy a ticket,” Roy’s voice regained its strength, “They’ve got the right to yell whatever abusive shit they want at footballers. But they’re not just footballers. They’re also people. And none of us,” he dragged his finger across the room, “Know what is going on in each other’s lives.”
“So for Isaac to do what he did today, even though it was wrong,” Roy pointed to his chest, “I give him love. And as for why he did what he did,” he leaned closer to the microphones, “That’s none of my fucking business.”
That was it. There was nothing left to say. Roy had handled it with more grace and patience than anyone could have expected.
Y/n smiled to herself, “Okay.”
“Next question,” he called to the room, which erupted back into shouts and flashes, “Yeah, new Trent.”
“Coach,” Marcus spoke up, “Let’s talk about Colin Hughes.”
“Yeah, he’s a hell of a player,” Roy answered, “And a great man. I think we’ve underused him.”
“I think you’re right,” Marcus said.
“Glad we agree,” Roy replied, “I prefer you to old Trent.”
The room laughed before Roy called on the next reporter. Rebecca and him shared a look of acknowledgement, this was making up for his ditching of the last presser.
Roy went on answering questions a few minutes longer before abruptly calling it. As everyone was saying their goodbyes for the evening, Y/n caught him in the hall.
“You did good,” she complimented.
Roy grunted a little, still bad at taking praise about anything other than his professional abilities. “Sorry if I…made your job harder the other day.”
She shrugged, “No more so than anyone else. You’re just more of a dick about it.”
Having said it with a smile Roy knew Y/n wasn’t serious…totally. His lips quirked up ever so slightly.
“Night, Roy,” Y/n said, hitting his arm as she walked past him.
“Cheers,” he replied, heading his own way.
—————————
While the day was a victory, Jamie was exhausted. Some of the boys had gone out to celebrate, he was one of the ones who decided heading home was more appealing.
A ring of the doorbell dragged him off his couch and into the entryway. He opened the door, his chest both filling and draining at the sight.
Y/n was leant against the frame, a soft smile on her lips. She held up a paper takeaway bag.
“I won’t tell Roy if you don’t,” she promised.
Jamie chuckled under his breath and moved to let her in.
It wasn’t just the match that’d worn Jamie out. Colin’s confession in the locker room was…heavy. Weighing most on Colin, of course, but when the celebratory noise had died down and Jamie was left to his own thoughts, he found they were louder than normal.
Y/n showing up only acted as an amplifier.
Here was Colin, hiding away one of the biggest parts of himself. Forced to keep the person he loved in the shadows for fear of the public’s reaction. He couldn’t hold them, couldn’t be seen with them, couldn’t claim them. The person who meant everything to him.
And here was Jamie, with the woman he cared about most standing before him, feeling the weight of his privilege.
“Samir was working tonight,” Y/n announced as she slipped off her shoes, “He kept asking me if I was buying for us both. I think he slipped in some extra-“
She was cut off by Jamie, wrapping his arms around her in a full embrace.
Jamie wasn’t good with words. He was barely good with feelings. And expressing them was a whole other matter. What he did know to be true was that Y/n was the singular most important person in his life. Whether he’d realized it before or not, he wasn’t sure. But it was suddenly crushing him, he was overwhelmed by his affection for her. She was the best part of his worst times, the highlight of his days. The literal sunshine lighting up the darkest parts of him, the parts everyone else looked at and ran from. But not her, never her.
Y/n stumbled a bit, Jamie steadying her as he tugged her to his body. It wasn’t like they never hugged, but this felt different. The whole day had been so emotionally charged, she wasn’t surprised that he was feeling some of it. She wasn’t sure what had happened in the locker room between halves or after the game, but whatever it was had done something to him, and she apparently was the solution.
The truth was, Jamie was the first person Y/n hadn’t tired of being there for. She wanted to save him at every possible opportunity. To be there for him in whatever way he needed her. Lord knows he had done it enough for her. He’d looked at her ugliest parts and matched them, the two of them somehow growing together through their horrible histories. Some relationships were easily replaced, but there could never be another Jamie.
Y/n slid her arms around Jamie’s back, stealing some of the comfort for herself.
Jamie rested his chin on her shoulder, shutting his eyes and letting the moment wash over him. The world could stop, just for a moment, and it would be there when they broke apart. But for now, Y/n was all he wanted to feel.
They stayed in the hall, clinging to one another, having only unwrapped the first layer of what all they felt meant.

𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒖𝒔
lee felix x fem!reader
summary: felix ignores y/n due to a fight they had. Will this be the breaking point of their relationship or will they figure out everything
requested by: @arikazu
Tumblr media
Felix had stormed out, and since returning, he had barely looked at you. His silent treatment was more painful than any words could have been. He was obviously ignoring you, which made you very sad. No words were spoken, only a few quick glares. The silence between them was deafening. Soon enough, hours turned into a whole day. No conversations. All of this was breaking your heart. Your chest felt tight with worry and hurt. It was like someone stabbed you in the heart. Your thoughts kept drifting back to Felix—his laughter, his warmth, the way he’d look at them with those deep, expressive eyes. But now those eyes were filled with coldness and distance. You thought about talking with him, but you were unsure how he would react and if he would even want to hear you out. You have never ever felt more alone.
Y/N sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly at the wall. The room was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to the heated argument that had erupted just a few hours earlier. Everything seemed to be blurry due to the tears falling down her face. Felix's words still echoed in Y/N's mind, each one cutting deeper than the last. The fight had started over something unimportant, but it had quickly escalated into a storm of hurtful words and harsh truths.
Finally, the front door creaked open, and Felix walked in, his face set in a mask of indifference. He glanced at you for a second, then looked away, heading straight to the bedroom without a word. How long will this continue - you thought. The heartbreaking pain was even stronger after seeing him go away like that. You couldn't take this anymore so you decided to follow him.
“Felix" You began softly, standing at the doorway of the bedroom.
He didn’t turn around, just kept unpacking his bag. “What?”
“Can we talk?” Your voice wavered slightly.
“There’s nothing to talk about,” Felix replied, his tone flat. He obviously didn't want to have this conversation.
You felt a very hurt but pushed through it. "We can't keep doing this. Ignoring each other won't solve anything. It will only make it worse."
Felix turned to face you, his eyes tired and sad. "What do you want me to say, Y/N? That I'm sorry? Because I am. But it doesn't change the fact that we keep having the same arguments. Over and over again. I don't know what to do to fix all this.
Tears welled up in your eyes, vision blurry. "I just want us to be okay. I miss you, Felix. I miss us. I really do."
Felix's expression softened, the anger dissipating. "I miss us too," he admitted, his voice breaking. He looked like he was about to cry.
You both stood there, staring at each other, weight of their words hanging between you. Finally, Felix stepped forward, pulling Y/N into his arms. She clung to him, relief washing over her.
"We need to communicate better," Felix said, his voice muffled against her hair. "I don't want to lose you, Y/N. But we can't keep going like this. We have to fix this. "
"I know," Y/N whispered. "We'll work on it. Together."
"Together" replied Felix kissing you on the top of your head.
It wouldn't be easy. They both knew that. But as they stood there, holding each other tightly, they realized that their love was worth fighting for. This wouldn't be the breaking point of their relationship. It would be the turning point, the moment they chose to face their problems head-on, together.
And in that embrace, they found hope. Hope for better future.
side note: really short but i honestly had no motivation writing this. Requests are still open so tell if you have

Tumblr media
Pairing: Felix x reader Word Count: 0.6k Genre: Smut 🔞 Warnings: 18+, Minors DNI, swearing, spanking, brat taming, oral sex (m receiving), hair pulling, unprotected sex (don't be an idiot), Sir kink,
"I warned you my love, didn't I?" He chuckled almost cruelly as his hand smacked against the flesh of your arse again.
"Yes sir" you whimpered as the sting started to set in on your skin.
"But you didn't listen did you?" his hand landed sharply again but on the other cheek.
"No sir" you gasped wiggling slightly from where you were laid across his lap.
"So what happens when you are a brat my love?" he continued his voice slowly getting deeper the more he caused your skin to redden with each slap.
"I get punished sir" you whimpered again the stinging getting worse but not unbearable.
"Good girl, now get on your knees and show me how sorry you are for being such a little brat" Felix purred helping you to stand as he lounged back on his bed thighs spread in his designer suit making him look too good for you to resist "Strip first my love, I want to see those perfect tits".
You quickly slipped your gown that he had pulled up your body off letting it fall to the floor and added your bra and thong to it so you were completely bare for him. Sinking to your knees you ran your hands up his thighs feeling his muscles tense under your touch until you reached the fly of his dress pants your fingers undoing his belt and button to free his hard cock.
"Use your teeth my love" his deep voice interrupted your thoughts and you moved to grab the zip between your teeth and pull it down gently. You pulled his length from his boxers giving him a few pumps as you watched his precum leak from the tip before lapping it up hungrily teasing the tip with your tongue.
"Good girl my love" he groaned as you slowly took him into your mouth hollowing your cheeks as you bobbed on his length until you had him all the way at he back of your throat making you gag slightly and your eyes water. He threaded his long fingers into your hair gently grasping it tightly as he grunted at the feeling of your throat constricting around him.
"Fuck my love, your mouth is heaven" he cooed looking down at you with adoring eyes and he tugged your hair to get you to move faster. You continued to slurp and suck his cock occasionally gagging every time he forced your head down a little faster as drool ran down your chin. Feeling him getting closer you hummed around him as he slid further unto your throat your nose brushing against his pubic bone, until he stiffened slightly in your mouth and released his seed down your throat and into your mouth.
"Fucking hell, you are incredible" he panted pulling you up to straddle his still clothed legs.
"Do you accept my apology sir" you pouted leaning in to kiss him as he broke out into a gorgeous smile.
"Of course my love, but you are still being punished so I am going to fuck you again and again filling you up and not letting you cum once" he smirked wickedly running his still hard length through your dripping folds.
"Please sir, I've learnt my lesson" you almost cried eyes wide.
"Well you shouldn't have let Hyunjin touch you my love, I know you were only doing it to wind me up" he murmured darkly as he impaled you on his length.
"Fuck" you mewled throwing you head back at the sensation of how full you felt on his large dick as he chucked at your desperation. "I'm sorry sir but you look too good tonight, I couldn't resist sir" you whined rolling your hips against his.
"Hmm, I guess we will see how good you can be then my love" he growled thrusting his hips up into you and making you moan loudly.
a/n: Thank you again for reading my loves once again all your comments, reblogs and likes keep me motivated xx

My sweet boy..“ as the last syllable leaves his mouth he groans loudly, his hot cum hitting your tight walls.

GAMER BOY Drabble🎮 🤭
Boyfriend felix, felix x reader, switch reader, teasing, soft dom felix, PinV
(Unedited)
Its a Monday night and Felix is finally off work!
You want just one night to spend with your man. But of course, he’s playing a video game with the boys. Probably Genshin if you had to guess.
All you want is attention and all his attention is on winning the game
But you have a cliche but smart plan obviously
Step 1. See what he’s up to
You open the door to your room and he’s sitting there in the dark with his little blue light on playing Genshin.
“My cute little nerd” you think.
“Hey baby whatcha doin?” You ask walking over to him
He peeks his head up from the monitor and smiles
“Hey baby just playing with the boys i’ll be done soon kay?” He says sweetly pecking you on the lips
“Mhm” you reply
Step 2. See what he’s paying attention to
Again cliche but you’re pretty sure it’ll work.
You have this gorgeous night dress thats real short, pink satin, lace flower bodice, open back. Its his and your favorite.
You put it on open the door again
You walk over to him pecking him on the cheek and then go to rest on the couch behind him
He turns around for a brief moment and smiles but goes back to the game
“He’s completely oblivious” you think and huff quietly to yourself
You play on your phone kind of watching him for a bit in hopes of a realization or even a glance from your boy. But nothing. He hasn’t even looked your way.
Fine. Now its time for phase 3
Step 3. Get down and dirty
You walk over to felix and he pushes his headphones to the side of his head
“Hey gorgeous I’m almost done I promise I…”
You start rubbing your hands all over his shoulders and exposed neck. Tracing your fingers on his upper half. Doe eyes in full effect
“I…..um….Im almost done baby I swear” he pleads quietly
You ignore him of course
He puts his headphones attempting to stay focused on the game
He can try but it won’t last
You move his chair backwards a bit and find a comfortable spot on his lap
He wraps his arms around you and continues playing with his head on your shoulder
“You wanna play too y/n?” He looks at you with a cocked brow
“Yeah sure!” you say innocently
He begins to teach you the controls and showing you the ropes
No playing the game isn’t your plan. Playing with him is.
You slightly bounce on him “excited about the game”
His breath hitches slightly but motivates you to keep playing
“You’re…….a natural babe” he says softly
“Thank you” you spin around to face him as an excuse to roll your hips
He may not be saying it but he’s paying attention now. You can feel it. Literally.
Poor guy is throbbing and hard under you
Time for more, he’s gotta give in soon
You adjust yourself frequently acting uncomfortable and you apologize frequently, being so sorry you aren’t finding the right spot to sit
At this point he knows what you’re doing.
The game is completely out of his mind now, and he’s fully focused on how you feel.
He grips your hips with his hands and squeeze harshly
You gasp slightly trying to keep up with the game
“You seem distracted you ok babe?” He asks you speaking breathily in your ear
No. He will not turn this on you. You’re too bratty for that.
“I think im gunna win felix” you say looking back at him
“Oh yeah?…”
“Yeah” you reply rocking your hips back and forth and side to side
His face collapses in your neck absolutely gone. He cant take it anymore. Its too much. He needs you now.
“You’re such a naughty girl you know that?” He groans into your ear voice dropping
You whimper
He lifts your skimpy night dress and pulls your panties to the side.
“Stand up” he tells you demanding
Oh he’s serious now. Oops
You stand up and watch as he pulls his boxers and sweats down to his knees
Now this. Is the attention you wanted.
“Are you just going to stare or are you going to sit?” He asks staring into your soul with his dark lusty brown eyes
“Oh so now you’re talking to me again thats nice” you chuckle
He grabs you by the waist and pulls you to him
“You got what you wanted hmm?” He remarks
“I did” you peck him on the lips and turn around
He lines himself up with you and slowly eases you down on him
You’re slowly easing down taking him inch by inch
“God ur so fucking wet” he cries
You moan finally fully sitting on his lap
His hands grab on to your thighs and squeeze tight
“Move” he begs
You start moving up and down and up and down. His hands controlling your hips now
You both moan in pleasure
He whimpers loudly leaning into the crook of your neck. His hips thrusting up for more
“You feel so good baby” he moans deeply in your ear
“I’ll…..pay more…..attention to….you im….sorry…”
“Im…..sorry I teased…..you” you cry out hitting your high
“Felix more” you scream
You both are circling and thrusting into each other hitting that one spot
The sound of the leather chair squeaking for the whole house to hear
He reaches down and rubs on your clit and he bites his teeth down on your neck
“Felix FELIX” you scream reaching your O
loud screaming, skin slapping, what a show this would be
He squeezes your breasts and you both finish
You both pant trying to catch your breath as you pull out of him
“That……was so hot” felix says looking at you running his fingers through his sweaty hair
You chuckle
He stands up “you know I love you y/n, i’ll make time for both okay?” He kisses you on the forehead
You smile
“Lets get all cleaned up now hm?” He suggests grabbing your hand
“Felix wait” you say covering your mouth with your hand
“What??” He asks worried and puts his hands on your shoulders
“I think you left the mic on”……
Hehe hope you enjoyed!!! I wrote this on the airplane lmao I was beyond bored ❤️

Hi! I hope you’re doing well! Do you have any head canons about your felinette stories (Moving on, finding home; The haunted Bride, The not-so phantom…) and Marinette, the Rolling Stone? I love all of your stories, specially daminette 😈
Hi! Of course I do! But since you're grouping them for the Felinette, I will focus these headcanons on the felinette aspects a bit! Also I am so sorry for the very late reply. Motivation has been very low 😔
Moving On, Finding Home:
•As Marinette starts to work with Amelie, Amelie decided they should go out for lunch along with Felix, but when they got to the cafe she suddenly had some business to take care of and rushed off. Felix took this as an opportunity to really talk to Marinette and apologize for his behavior last time he was in Paris.
•At first she's skeptical but as he went into detail about why he did it, she feels for him. He told her about the loss of his father and that he knew it wasn't an excuse but he had been hurt and angry. Especially at Adrien and his Uncle. He was surprised when she didn't immediately jump to Adrien’s defense.
•Since he was so willing to be vulnerable and he seemed genuine in wanting to start over with her, Marinette told him everything that had happened at school. At first she had just wanted to explain that her and Adrien weren't friends anymore but once she started talking she couldn't stop.
•After this talk, things work a lot smoother, and Felix actually tags along with his mother when she goes to meet Marinette. Somehow them having lunch became a routine as well, but neither teen complains.
•Amelie adores Marinette and has a hard time not spoiling the girl but she can't help that her love language is gift giving and look...if Marinette is going to be taking on as big a project as she is then of course she needs a new design desk...and tablet since her old one had a chip on the corner...and a new mattress because her little designer needs the best sleep to dream up wonderful designs!
•Felix does try to reign her in, but it's hopeless.
•Tom and Amelie are two peas in a protective-parent-pod. They love talking to each other about their respective child and all they do in the name of that love, like the time Tom threw Marinette’s birthday cake in the trash several times in a panic because he didn't want to spoil the surprise. Tom and Amelie basically become bestie with a fond Sabine watching over.
•Amelie being a Petty Betty and allowing paparazzi to take pictures of her, Felix and Marinette when they are out together (with permission, of course) all so she could show off how cute Felix and Marinette are together but also to rub it in the face of her brother-in-law that she nabbed the very talented designer before him.
•Felix does become the new Chat Noir, but he changes his name to Grimalkin and Adrien, who starts not-so-vague posting on his Chat Noir account on social media that the name sucks and nitpicks about everything of the new Cat Hero.
•The class start to think the reason Marinette has "changed" so much is because of Felix, and they start trying to include her in things again in an attempt to lure her away from the "problem" Lila hates this and tries to intervene but it never works out for her.
•Gabriel is having a rough month, what with Lila Rossi being herself, the Dupain-Cheng girl getting snatched up by his dreadful sister-in-law right before he was going to open an early-experience type of internship so he could keep her close and figure out how to akumatize her but also she did have great talent and it would be a waste if he let her slip through his fingers, then Adrien reveals he and Mlle Dupain-Cheng aren't on speaking terms and to top it all off!!! There is a new cat hero who is actually competent, and that is making being a super villain very hard.
The Haunted Bride:
•Marinette had for as long as she remembers, been obsessed with the Culpa Mansion. Her parents thought it was cute and funny at first, but when she still spoke about it and even spoke about details, she couldn't have possibly known, but when she overheard her parents talking about taking her to a professional or something she stopped talking so in depth about it.
•But she dreamt of it almost every night and keeps a dream journal where she drew a lot of things from her dreams. She has it locked and hidden because she fears if anyone found it, they would think she was crazy, especially her parents.
•Hawkmoth is defeated and in jail, but Adrien did somehow get through it all without being suspected of aiding his father. Nathalie is the one taking care of Adrien since Gabriel took the fall for everything.
•Marinette as Ladybug, decided against Ladybug and Chat Noir revealing their identities to each other. Something just told her not too but she did promise that if Chat found her, she would let him know. Her and Adrien dating kind of happened out of nowhere to her, but then he kept making cat puns here and there, and well Marinette came to the conclusion he was Chat and hat found her. So she made her own subtle references.
•Adrien does not know that she is Ladybug, but she thinks he does. He just started dating her because she reminded him of Ladybug, and while he did start to like her, he was still very much in "love" with Ladybug.
•Marinette starts to realize he actually doesn't know who she is, and it kind of opens her eyes to how he tries to manipulate her. She doesn't think he is doing it maliciously or anything, but she can see how much he values the class and keeping things happy, and she sees that he's doing it kind of subconsciously so he can keep his perceived normal and happiness. It's why he never breaks the peace, even if it's the right thing to do.
•When she wins the trip to the Mansion, Marinette actually exchanges letters with the owner of the Mansion, who happens to be her age, and she thinks that's cool. They become pen-pals and friends, and Marinette is just so happy to get to rant to someone just as obsessed with the mansion as much as her.
•When she and her class go to the mansion, she is already trying to break up with Adrien but that's kind of hard to do when he won't spend any time alone with her like a boyfriend should. She finds out that Lila is the one manipulating him in hopes that he would be charmed by her and fall for her. The girl squad (some of them) are helping her.
•Marinette is almost always somehow left alone, and during those times, she meets with Felix, and they just have a fun time hanging out, and Marinette finds herself falling for him. She only ever meets him at night though but it's when she's with him that she feels the happiest and most clear headed. He keeps her grounded.
•But while staying in the mansion, her dreams come back in such vividity that she starts having trouble determining what reality is and what is a dream.
The Not-So Phantom of the Théâtre du Châtelet:
•Felix is not scarred, nor does he live underneath the theater. The Phantom is a character he plays to manipulate and scare those who seek to hurt the theater and the owner, his mother. He doesn't mind the rumor. He plays into it in the name of protecting his mother and the theater she loves. He also does not care nor mind hurting others to do so.
•He works as a permanent stage hand and sometimes a stage manager since he knows the theater better than anyone. Yes, he did build hidden trap doors and such to help with his time as the Phantom.
•But what started as him protecting his mother and their theater kind of morphed into punishing those he thinks deserves it and if you're thinking his mother would not approve of this or not know what her son is doing, nah. She knows and supports her troubled little man.
•When he first meets Marinette, he immediately realizes what potential she has and is charmed by her almost immediately. They become friends as costume designer and stage hand. But when he sees the treatment of her from her ex-boyfriend and the lead actress, he will do anything to protect her.
•Marinette didn't believe in the Phantom until all these strange events started happening, and she keeps getting roses left in her workshop. She doesn't know how she feels about everything and thinks that makes her an awful person.
•She does have a crush on Felix, and they connect so well, but she also can't help but be drawn to the Phantom when they keep having encounters.
Marinette The Rolling-Stone:
•Marinette meets Felix after her big move to London when she goes to her new private school. Yes, Jagged and Penny enrolled her in a private academy because they feared what people would do if she were in a public school, given all that happened and what was televised.
•It's a school that allows her to work from home sometimes. The excuse that was given was that it was due to her adopted father's work schedule, but in actuality, it was because Marinette told Jagged and Penny about being Ladybug and the Guardian and they agreed she could home-school on days she needed to be in Paris.
•She got adopted into the Quantic Kids group by surprisingly Felix. He just felt like she needed friends, and she reminded him of himself before he became friends with his friends.
•It takes a while for her to trust them, but when she does, she cries over how much happier she is. When she starts getting feelings for Felix she's scared but Jagged and Penny help her through it.
•Felix doesn't know when he fell for Marinette, but contrary to what his friends think, he didn't freak out or get angry or anything like that. To him, it made sense, she made sense...they made sense. So no, he isn't scared of his feelings and is more than determined to prove himself to Marinette.
•Her friends find out she is Ladybug and convince her to let them help. Of course, she doesn't want to, but things are getting worse, and she needs people she can trust. Jagged and Penny are also there to help as well.
•Felix, of course, becomes the new Cat Miraculous Holder and becomes known as Carbonel!

A/N: I'm sorry if there are any mistakes😖I'm so sleep deprived but I wanted to write this so here we are😅 And as always, hope you enjoy~🤗💞🩷💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Lix and Hyunjin had asked Jeongin what he would like to do for his birthday, the maknae had requested to have free will over their hair. What the two didn’t know was that Innie had ulterior motives behind his seemingly harmless birthday wish. He sat the two down on the bed, sitting crossed legged near the edge of it, with their backs to the birthday boy.
The two were a little confused but nonetheless, complied without protests. Innie started with Hyunjin, gathering two strands and weaving them seamlessly together. The artist hummed in satisfaction, just happy to have Innie’s attention all to himself.
“Hyung, can you hold these right here for me?” Hyunjin chirped a ‘yep’, moving his arms as Jeongin had asked. “Just a liiiitle higher.” The maknae said coyly, lifting Hyunjin’s elbows and leaving his sensitive torso vulnerable to Innie’s eager hands. Jeongin let his hands slowly run down Hyunjin’s upper arms, from his elbows, leisurely down to the edge of his armpits.
The artist shuddered violently, squirming helplessly as nervous giggles bubbled from his lips. “Is something wrong hyung?” Jeongin hummed in his ear, nimble fingers rubbing tight circles on the skin just above the ferret’s exposed underarms. “Ihihinihihie plehehease~” Hyunjin tried, arms trembling with the efforts to keep them how Jeongin had instructed him to.
A small whine drew both their attention to a blushy Felix, wide eyes staring longingly at Innie’s fingers as they worked to slowly unravel Hyunjin. “Oh? What’s this? Is someone feeling needy today? Do you wish this was you Felix hyung?” Jeongin teased cruelly, his hawk like gaze trained on the fairy as he walked his fingers slowly up and down the underside of Hyunjin’s arms.
The poor lee squeezed his eyes shut, body jolting involuntarily and little squeaks escaping him. “Isn’t he just so cute like this?” He asked Lix then turned to address the mess in his arms, ”Maybe I should keep tickling you like this forever hm? What do you think Hyunjin hyung?” The way Jeongin whispered each word into Hyunjin’s ear while looking right in Felix’s eyes flustered him beyond anything he’d ever felt.
Felix was rooted to his spot, a deep blush bleeding rapidly down the collar of the t-shirt he wore, his arms and knees already turning pink from the younger’s relentless teasing. He wanted to be Hyunjin SO bad right now. It felt unfair that they were both asked to come but Felix was just made to watch while Hyunjin was having so much fun.
But he couldn’t get any words out, his mouth feeling dry as he opened and closed his lips dumbly. Jeongin’s fingers finally, mercifully moved to where Hyunjin wanted them, ghosting over the skin of his underarms and making goosebumps rise all over his body. Just when Hyunjin parted his lips to complain for the maknae to cut it out, Jeongin struck, drilling four fingers into each of his armpits while his thumbs dug into his back.
“Jeong—IN AHHAHAHAHAHAAHAA, SHIHIT!!” Hyunjin scream laughed, his body trying to lurch away from the tickly fingers but Innie’s hands kept him still. He could do nothing but sit there and take it, legs unfurling to kick out in front of him. The two watched as Hyunjin’s chin hit his chest, fingers clenching his hair tightly as he still attempted to follow Innie’s request.
Jeongin moved his hands down Hyunjin’s ribs, lingering on that spot to hear the older’s giggles turning into uncontrollable cackles. Pressing the pads of his fingers between the crevices seemed to work best, Jinnie almost clamping his hands down before bringing them back up at the younger’s disapproving hum.
“Ihit tihihickles, it tihickles soHOHO BAHAHAD OHO MY GAHAHAHAAHAAD!!” He begged desperately through airy laughs, squealing loudly when Jeongin ignored him, hands now kneading into his sides. Hyunjin’s body twisted aggressively to the side, a series of incoherent gibberish sounding as he laughed and laughed and laughed.
After a few minutes of non-stop tickling, Jeongin let up, giggling in amusement when Hyunjin slumped on his sides and rolled away, his hands clasped protectively over his sensitive torso. Just to mess with the older, Innie leaned forward, wiggling his fingers at him. “Tickle, tickle, tickle~” Hyunjin shrieked, almost rolling off the bed in his rush to get away.
This whole time Felix had waited impatiently, his body buzzing with an electric feeling. He imagined himself in Hyunjin’s place, being tickled and teased so much like that. He didn’t realize he was pouting until Innie told him so. “Ready for your turn hyungie?”
Felix nodded so hard he felt dizzy. Eagerly, without even having to be told, he lifted his hands up, lacing his fingers together behind his head and looking hopefully up at the younger. Jeongin laughed at his enthusiasm, hovering his fingers mere millimeters above Lixie’s waist and watched him shift and squirm in anticipation. Hyunjin giggled from his place on the opposite side, his eyes scanning over Lixie’s flustered expression and wide smile.
“Innie~ Just do it alreheadyyy~” He whined, unable to take any more anticipation. “So impatient.” Innie chided, but nevertheless, he sunk his fingers into Felix’s sides, the older jerking away as if he was being electrocuted. “AH, hahahahahahaha, shit—FUCK! “ He didn’t know what to do with himself.
Every touch seemed to affect him much worse than normal. All that waiting had set his nerves alight and now that he was actually getting what he wanted, Felix found himself screeching like a banshee through loud laughs. Hyunjin was in a similar plight, gasping for breath at how hard he was laughing at Lixie’s reactions.
Jeongin just grinned, his fingers tickling their way in towards the center of Lix’s belly. Felix struggled against himself to keep still, his body arching and flinching against his will. But the moment Jeongin’s skilled fingers reached his lower stomach, he gave up. His hands whipped down, grasping frantically onto the maknaes’. Innie tsked but didn’t stop, glancing at Hyunjin and then back to Lixie’s hands.
The artist understood immediately, smirking evilly at the betrayed look he earned when he grabbed the chick’s arms and pulled them away, leaving his torso free to be tortured. “I thought you wanted this Lix hyung…was I wrong? Should we stop now?”
“NO!!” Felix’s explosive cry startled them both. “No, plehease goho on!” The two grinned adoringly at the shy boy. And without stalling any longer, they moved Felix so he was lying on his back, with Hyunjin sitting on his hands. Jeongin took a seat on his hips, gently pinching at Lixie’s waist to have him.
Felix let himself relax and closed his eyes. Sweet, happy laughter left his lips as the two cooed at his cuteness. He felt overjoyed, everything feeling more like a gift for him and Hyunjin than for Jeongin. He was getting lost in the soft tickles when a tingly sensation at his elbows made him yelp, his eyes snapping open to a curious looking Hyunjin.
“Did that really tickle?” He asked as if Felix’s reaction hadn’t been answer enough. When Lix just stared at him nervously, he repeated the motion, scraping his nails against Lixie’s elbow. Felix squeaked, somehow blushing even redder at the overjoyed expression that crossed the lers’ faces.
“I—.” His next words came out as screechy laughter when Hyunjin began scribbling his nails over the new spot while Jeongin pressed his thumbs right on his hip bones. Felix arched his bacck and tugged at his arms. It tickled so bad! “OHO GOHODS! PLEHEASE INNIE NAHAHAT THEHEHERE!!” The combination of soft and rough tickles on two different spots had him in stitches. Throwing his head into Hyunjin’s lap, Felix thrashed and bucked but he couldn’t shake them off.
In fact, it only made Hyunjin lighten up more until just the tips of his fingers were brushing at the taut skin, sending jolts of electricity racing through his body. Jeongin pressed his fingers just a fraction deeper into the bone, making Lixie’s toes curl and body shiver. “Ihit tiHIHICKLES SOHOHO MAHAHAHCH~” He screamed before his laughs went silent.
The two dragged it on for a couple more seconds, then stopped. Jeongin immediately softened up, cradling the two tired boys in his arms. “You did so well hyungs. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for making this the best birthday ever!” He planted soft kisses on their foreheads, the trio eventually drifting off in a messy but happy pile.

What do you think about opinions that Chloe’s development was ruined in season 3 finale because Thomas didn’t like that viewers like her more than Marinette? I Don’t think that it’s true, but it gave me idea that Thomas ruined Chloe’s already few character development because viewers liked her more than Gabriel.
I've heard this theory before and it seems like a massive stretch to me. It's always possible, but I don't feel comfortable making accusations like this without some hard evidence and I've yet to see any, though it's not like I follow this guy on Twitter or anything. My knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes is all based on random things that make their way to my Tumblr feed. So if someone has hard evidence, feel free to reblog and add it, but the most likely explanation is just bad writing. Why ascribe malice when incompetence makes just as much sense and requires a lot less motivation?
Think about what this accusation is actually saying. It's claiming that an adult man willfully ruined a major element of his passion project (or even just the show that he's known for, meaning that it will define his future career) because he was salty that people liked a character that he created. That seems like a conspiracy theory take to me.
It's also not like Thomas has full creative control of the show! Head writers have power, but they rarely have total power. They're still employees and a ton of things happen between an episode being written and the final version being aired. Producers, directors, censors, and many others usually okay a script prior to an episode being animated because that's the most expensive element. Plus it's not like he's the only one who wrote Chloe's story. Every season two and season three episode is credited to multiple writers. In other words, it seems like multiple people signed off on Chloe's story.
There's also the issue of the air dates. Queen Wasp and Miracle Queen first aired about twelve months apart (October 6 2018 vs October 15 2019). Production times for animated TV shows are about that long, which would mean that Miracle Queen was probably being written or was even already set in stone around the time that Queen Wasp aired. In other worlds, every element of Chloe's journey was probably at least sketched out before the audience ever saw it start. That would mean that nothing in that story was reactionary. It just doesn't fit the timeline.
While Chloe's season three ending was a total mess, it was hardly out of nowhere. It was glaringly obvious that Chloe couldn't stay Queen Bee from the moment that we met Queen Bee. You can't willfully out yourself to the world and expect to stay a hero (or, at least, that shouldn't be a thing Felix). I was honestly baffled when they gave her back the bee in Malediktator and relieved when Marinette finally acknowledged the problem in Miraculer:
Ladybug: I'm sorry, Chloé. I should've told you this a long time ago. I might never be able to let you be Queen Bee again.
Which was, of course, the setup for Miracle Queen, further complicating this theory because it looks like less than a year passed between the world premieres of Queen Wasp and Miraculer (October 6 2018 vs May 15 2019).
I don't know if this made it to your Tumblr feed, but the Miraculous writing team announced that the writing for season six was done back in late March. The show won't air until sometime this winter, well over half a year later, because that's just how animation works and they've supposedly done things to make the animation process faster this season. I just don't see how this Chloe theory works or why it needs to be a thing when her bad writing falls perfectly in line with things like the absolute disaster that was season five. She wasn't a fluke, she was a warning of things to come.
As best I can tell, the entire Queen Bee plot was just an incredibly awkward and forced way to show how dangerous identity reveals were. Which isn't a bad plot to have, but don't do that plot and then let a bunch of other temp heroes keep their miraculous post reveal! Writers, what are you even doing?
If you want my best guess answer to that, then I don't think that the writers planned to make their story feel massively hypocritical. I think that they just did a dumb writing mistake that I've seen multiple shows do: they wrote a really cool cliffhanger ending without planning how to make that ending work in the following season. And there was no way to really make the ending work, so they end up just kind of ignoring it.
The reason why this happens is pretty simple. Most shows try to end their seasons on cliffhangers so that fans will come back for the next season. It's extremely rare to have a solid happy ending that ties everything together. This can lead to writers making questionable calls because they're pressed for time and have to come up with something that will keep the fans wanting more even if that thing makes no sense. It can also lead to writers making questionable calls because they DO have a plan for how the cliffhanger will play out, but when it comes time to actually put that plan into action, it gets shut down and now they have to scramble to make the nonsense work.
Anyway, what I'm really trying to say is that, as much as I like the concept of a redeemed Chloe joining the team, it was pretty clearly never going to happen in canon. The writing only backed that read for a brief moment at the start of season two where we got a handful of episodes that made Chloe feel less like a cookie-cutter mean girl and more like a true character, but then the Chloe plot really got going and I was just waiting for the inevitable fiery end. I actually thought that Chloe was going to be treated as a tragic character and become a true villain in season four. Instead we got utter nonsense that tossed her character all over the place to the point where I have no idea what they're even trying to do with her.

it's a scream, baby! | hyunlix
chapter two: who's there?
words: 1.52k // warnings: discussions of death, cursing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“kang heejin? no fucking way - she sits next to me and seungmin in penology!” (y/n) couldn’t shake the disbelief from her features, despite the alarming truth in what jisung had told her.
“yeah, well not anymore. her parents found her on the kitchen floor last night. apparently it was a bloodbath, and there’s nothing to point towards any suspects. suho’s blaming himself because he flaked on date night - i heard he’s dropping out over it.”
suddenly the outside presence on their usually normal and quiet college campus added up.
“fuck. in woodsboro? it doesn’t make sense - the worst thing that’s ever happened here is when they closed blockbuster.”
jisung chuckled at that as the pair headed towards the quad to meet their friends. “that’s what i’m saying, man. everyone’s freaked. jeongin’s already asked if we can all crash at yours tonight so he knows we’re all safe.”
(y/n) shook her head, an small smile on her lips. jeongin was always the easiest to scare out of all their friends - heck, he refused to watch chucky anymore after their last group movie night.
“i’m just glad it wasn’t one of you guys.” she sighed, reaching their table already with 7 seated at it.
“we’re just glad it wasn’t you. we’ve all been calling you all morning and no one got an answer!” minho cried from his position on seungmin’s lap, brows furrowed in worry. scanning the table, (y/n) could tell everyone had let out a sigh of relief as soon as they saw her. shit. she really didn’t mean to make them worry.
“sorry, guys. i stayed at yeji and nari's last night for a study session, remember? phone died last night and i forgot to take my charger with me. did none of you think to call yeji and make sure i was still with her?”
jeongin scoffed at the assumption. “of course we did. you really think we wouldn’t after we find out some maniac gutted heejin in her own home last night? yeji’s the only reason everyone wasn’t hammering on our door this morning.”
chan cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention - he was kind of like the dad and the leader of the group, so everyone listened to his every wish and whim. “i heard the sheriff and deputy are going to be questioning everyone today. students, teachers, janitors, the lot.”
“they think its school related?” felix yelped, shocked at the idea that the murderer could be anywhere on campus right now. “surely, that means anyone could be a target?”
“well, they have no idea, do they? so, school and family is a good place to start, then if not they widen the search.” (y/n) claimed, finally her studies in criminology coming to use.
“but i suppose… if there’s no motive, yeah, anyone could be a target.” seungmin agreed, sharing a look with (y/n) as if to mutually agree the group should take a lot more precautions.
jisung huffed at that, making a dramatic show of rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. “oh, please. its the millennium; motives are incidental.”
everyone let out a giggle at that - jisung had a habit of taking unimportant subjects too seriously. in any respectable slasher movie, he’d be the nerd who knows too much and chastises everyone for not following the survival rules.
“s’a bit of a big word for you, huh?” minho laughed, the expression taking over his body as his shoulders shook against seungmin’s chest.
as jisung’s face reddened, he flipped everyone off. “fuck you all, i’m gonna be the only one who survives this shit.”
“nah, not a chance. (y/n)’s our final girl, not your dumbass.” hyunjin cackled, slapping jisung on the back as the bell rang. “see you all in the cafe after class?”
the group said their goodbyes, seungmin joining (y/n) as they headed to their shared class for the morning. “man, here’s to hoping its a one-off robbery gone wrong, huh?”
but being in the lecture hall that morning felt wrong - it was the class they were supposed to share with heejin, and suddenly the room felt so much more empty with only one person missing.
“i don’t know, seung. from what people are saying, it seems personal. she was stabbed to death in her own kitchen, with her own knife. its fucked up.”
one-by-one throughout the day, students were called into the principal’s office to talk to him, the police sheriff and the deputy. by lunchtime, the questions asked of each person were the talking point of everyone. it seems people were doing anything to keep the topic from discussing a potential murderer roaming around town.
“did they ask if you like to hunt?” minho asked felix across the table, the latter nodding in response.
“why would they ask if you like to hunt?” (y/n) questioned, confused. it seemed she’d be asked completely different questions than the boys.
“because they found her gutted. hunting techniques, you know?” jeongin responded, refusing to look up from his phone for longer than 5 seconds to completely join the conversation.
“well, they didn’t ask me that. they just asked if i knew her, if we were friends, if she’d shown any signs of needing to be worried about her….”
changbin scoffed at that; “yeah, because its takes a man to do something like that. hunting, (y/n). i don’t see any girls around here being the type to go out and kill rabbits.”
swiveling in her seat to face the buff man opposite her, she frowned. “no way. the killer could easily be female. don’t be so sexist. this is exactly why female serial killers are taken less seriously, man.”
on the far side of the hyunjin laughed, the rest of the group following in its effectiveness. slapping his hand on the table in his fit of giggles, hyunjin pointed at changbin.
“do not get her started on the inequalities between male and female serial killers, bro. we’ll be here all night!”
“yeah, yeah, let’s all bully the person here most likely to be the killers next victim.” (y/n) joked, leaning her head on changbin’s shoulder. “anyways, have we decided where we’re having movie night tonight, yet?”
noticing the way that the boys all shared a similar look, (y/n) realized they must have discussed this before she had arrived to meet them at the cafe. trying to refrain from rolling her eyes, she crossed her arms.
“go on then. what’s your decision, all-mighty leader?” she huffed, addressing chan specifically and choosing to ignore the way seungmin snickered behind her.
“well…” chan began, as if he was worried about her reaction. “we just figured we’d do it at yours? since, you know, we can’t all stay the night because of classes tomorrow, and we don’t want you being out at night right now.”
“you do realize heejin was killed in her own home? me being inside or outside won’t make any difference if i’m going to be attacked. but… if we’re all at mine if means i can just wear my pajama’s so, yeah, okay.”
jisung clapped his hands, breaking the tension between (y/n) and chan as quickly as it had started.
“it’s settled, then. we all meet at (y/n), minho and jeongin’s tonight. and no scary movies!”
classes for the rest of the day sucked. how the fuck did lecturers expect people to be able to concentrate when a classmate was brutally slaughtered the night before? quite frankly, it was insanity. between the crying, gossip, and fear, no one managed to accomplish anything.
of course, there were the few people who found humor in it all - sneaking up behind girls walking across the courtyard, or “reenacting” how they thought the murder scene folded out. it was disgusting, and (y/n) couldn’t believe people were allowed to behave in such a way after the worst night the town of woodsboro had ever seen.
honestly, all she wanted was to be at home, curled up in her pajamas, watching a movie with her favorite boys. just the nine of them in her, minho and jeongin’s shitty apartment, watching a shitty movie and sharing snacks. deep down, (y/n) wanted to forget the horrors she had heard today, and hide away in her bed until it all passed over.
but this was real life, and she was expected to carry on with her studies as if nothing had happened. it was kind of insulting to heejin’s memory, really. while the two weren’t exactly close, or even friends, (y/n) had always admired how lovely heejin was. the blonde girl had always gone out of her way to be kind to everyone she met, and tried her hardest to make everyone feel welcome and included. she had many friends, yes, but never tried to be popular because she didn’t understand how people could feed into negative stereotypes like that.
truly, (y/n) would miss heejin. and she prayed inherently that it was a one-time thing, that no one else would have to go through the loss that heejin’s family did.

instead of you [part thirty-six] || l.mh
pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, alcohol
word count: 3k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
“Nice hat.”
You gave Minho a sideways look. “Really?”
“Yeah, it’s cute.”
You tipped the brim at him, grinning. “Thank you. Jisung picked it out.”
“He has good taste.”
You weren’t sure how to respond to the double entendre so you didn’t, choosing instead to direct your attention forward, where your fake boyfriend was teeing up.
Back at school, Jisung had gone off to play golf with a few of your mutual friends once or twice, but it was an expensive hobby, and as broke college students, they couldn’t exactly make a habit out of it. For a little while, Jisung worked as an assistant chef at a nearby country club for a couple of months which allowed him free access to their course in his off time, but juggling the job and his studies quickly became too much to handle and he couldn’t even keep up with his responsibilities, let alone have any free time to take advantage of the course.
Considering how long it had been since he last played, you weren’t expecting much from Jisung’s first swing, but when he stuck the golf ball with his club, it actually went relatively far. Of course, you didn’t have much knowledge of the sport to go off of when it came to gauging how well he was actually doing, but from the looks on his brothers’ faces, you assumed he’d done pretty well.
“Good job!” you cheered, running up to your best friend and kissing him on the cheek. “That was good right?”
He caught you with an arm around your waist and pulled you close. “Thanks, baby. It wasn’t bad, but it could have been better.”
“Whatever, you’re just being humble.”
“He’s not,” Felix piped up from behind the two of you. “Let me show you how a real golfer plays.”
You rolled your eyes in unison with Jisung but stepped back to let Felix tee up anyway, both watching as he took a couple of practice swings.
“How much do you want to bet he comes in last?” Jisung muttered in your ear.
“I’m not willing to go bankrupt over this, sorry.”
Jisung snorted and tried to muffle his laugh in your shoulder but it was still loud enough for his twin to hear.
“Oi! I don’t want to hear it when you’re up thirty points over me.”
“Yeah, we’ll see, Lix,” Jisung scoffed. “Just swing already! We don’t have all day, mate.”
Felix shot his brother a look but did as he was told. He rolled his shoulders and focused in on the ball, huffing out a breath and drawing the club back over his shoulder. He put more power into his swing than Jisung had but hit the ball with the edge of the clubhead instead of the center which sent it flying a little off to the left. From what you could see, the ball still landed on the pitch. It hadn’t gone into the trees or the lake, it was just in a trickier spot to clear.
“What was that you were saying about points?” Jisung asked smugly.
Felix groaned and turned back around to argue with him as Minho came up and took his place at the starting point.
“It’s going to be a long day, isn’t it?” you muttered to Minho.
He gave you a tight half-smile and shrugged. “You have no idea.”
-
It had only been an hour since the boys started and you didn’t think you’d ever heard so many insults and curse words thrown around in such a short amount of time, which was saying something.
Jisung, Felix, and Minho were all neck and neck with each other, with Dom far ahead of all three of them.
The course itself was beautiful. It was just across the street from the resort you were staying at, right on the edge of the water. You were able to see the ocean from the tops of the faux hills on the green, sparkling with the reflection of the sun. The waves were dotted with little boats and surfers all enjoying the good weather and making the most out of the afternoon.
You would have been content to spend all day there if it wasn’t so hot and you weren’t forced to stand around listening to your best friend argue with his brothers.
“How many more holes are there?” you asked Nikki, leaning over and whispering quietly so that the others wouldn’t hear you.
“Too many.”
“Kill me now.”
“Why don’t we get ourselves a drink when the cart girl comes around? It’ll make the time go faster.”
You grinned. “I like the way you think.”
-
You weren’t a stranger to day drinking, not by a long shot, but you didn’t want to get too sloppy while the sun was still up. You had long since given up on the little pact you’d made with yourself not to drink for the remainder of the trip— not that you’d ever really followed it in the first place. Nikki got herself a High Noon when the aforementioned cart girl came by, so you did the same, insisting on covering the tab for both of you.
“Please?” you practically begged. “It’s literally the least I can do after everything you’ve done for me.”
She seemed to think about it for a minute. “Fine. I’ll let you do it this one time. But don’t get used to it.”
You did a little dance in celebration and handed over some cash to the cart girl after she popped the tabs on both of your cans.
“Want anything?” you called to the boys. “It’s on me!”
Felix was the only one to take you up on the offer, both Minho and Jisung making a fuss about not spending your money on them. Where was this attitude back at school? you asked yourself, scoffing at Jisung’s refusal.
“I’m in the lead, I can’t afford to lower my inhibitions now!” Dom said. “But when I win, I’ll treat you to a pint, even though you’re canoodling with one of my opponents.”
“I’m starting to think you guys have something against me,” you accused the two non-participants as you handed Felix his beer. “What, do you think I’m broke?”
“We’re just gentlemen,” Minho said pointedly, shooting Felix a look.
“You are broke,” Jisung muttered.
“Watch it,” you shot, waving your drink at him. “You’re not getting a sip now.”
“Babe, I didn’t want a sip to begin with.”
“Okay, well even if you change your mind you can’t have one.”
He laughed and shook his head at the ground, walking back over to the teeing-off point with his hands on his hips.
Nikki was right, the afternoon did indeed pass a lot quicker with drinks in your hands. They kept you cool in the heat of the sun and the alcohol made the hours blend into each other.
In the latter half of the game, you started to pay more attention. You had finally begun to pick up what was good and what was bad from everyone else’s reactions to the shots and could actually tell for yourself.
“Baby, can you switch this out for the driver?” Jisung asked, holding his current club out to you.
“Which one is that?”
“The big one.”
You selected the club he described and passed it to him, taking the one he’d just used to put back in the golf bag. He kissed you when you met him in the middle to swap the two, smiling against you when he noticed Minho looking on.
“Sorry, couldn’t help it,” he whispered in your ear. “It’s too fun to fuck with him.”
Confused, you turned around to see what he was talking about only to see Minho standing a few feet away with his tongue in his cheek.
“Thanks, baby,” Jisung said, putting his hand on the small of your back to remind you of what you were doing. “You make a cute caddy.”
Minho mumbled something under his breath that you didn’t catch but you figured that was probably for the best.
-
After golf, you hung out with Jisung’s family at the pool for a few hours before heading back up to the rooms to get ready for dinner.
“Do we need to dress nice?” you asked.
Jisung peeked out from the bathroom to answer you, shaking his wet hair dry with a towel.
“Uh, not like nice, nice but nicer than just jeans.”
“Okay, I can do that.”
You turned back to your open suitcase and rifled through it in search of something that fit the dress code.
“By the way, where did you go last night?”
“With Minho?”
“Yeah, you were gone for like hours. I fell asleep and then woke up randomly and you still weren’t back.”
“Minho took me to some beach.”
“Did you have sex with him?”
You looked up. “Yeah. Why?”
Jisung shrugged. “Just wondering.”
You could tell he wanted to say more but you didn’t push. If you did, you’d only be hurting your own feelings. He had told you that himself. Jisung had been very clear that he wasn’t ready to talk about the Minho thing with you so all you could do was be honest and answer the questions that he asked, even if it was awkward and uncomfortable.
You were so used to guilt by now that you almost didn’t notice the fresh wave that washed over you. You knew it was wrong to still sleep with Minho after everything— hell, you knew it was wrong before everything, but neither of those facts stopped you from doing it.
You realized Jisung was still looking at you so you shook it off and picked up a random sundress from your luggage.
“How’s this for tonight?”
“Looks good to me.”
An hour later, you and the rest of the Hans were seated around a table in a dimly lit restaurant. The sundress had been the right choice. The place was right on the water and open to the outdoor air so all of the other patrons were dressed pretty similarly.
Jisung ordered for you after you looked over the menu together like always. Your hands rested on the table, fingers entwined for his family to see. You had been doing this for so long now that it was almost second nature to you. You had fallen into the routine a long time ago but you didn’t even have to think about it anymore. You probably wouldn’t even be giving the action a second thought had it not been for Minho staring at your hands from across the table.
It looked like he was zoning out, like he wasn’t actually glaring at you holding hands with his brother but you couldn’t be sure. You kicked him gently in the shin to get his attention. He jolted and locked eyes with you immediately, erasing any trace of subtly.
“You okay there, son?” Dom asked, patting Minho on the back.
“Yeah, yeah, ‘m fine. Just got a chill.”
Thankfully, everyone seemed to move past it and the conversation resumed. Dinner was otherwise uneventful. The boys recounted the golf game and Dom’s landslide win, while you just listened and nodded along when it felt right. It was a relief not to have to add anything to the discussion. You didn’t have the energy to.
Dom stayed true to his word from earlier and bought everyone a round from the bar at the restaurant. You weren’t a big beer drinker but you didn’t want to be rude so you suffered through the whole pint, ignoring Jisung’s worried glances from the side.
“You know I could have finished that for you,” he muttered.
“I don’t want to look like a pussy in front of your dad,” you hissed back. “He bought it for us. And I didn’t want to be left out.”
Your best friend scoffed and shoved his hands in his pockets. “You’ll do anything to prove a point, won’t you?”
“You know me.”
-
Minho pulled you aside after dinner, once you were back at the resort.
“Think you can ditch your ‘boyfriend’?” he whispered as you both fell back a couple of steps.
You stopped. “What, why?”
“I just want a moment alone with you.”
“A moment or several moments?” you challenged.
He smirked. “I’ll take whatever I can get.”
“I can’t keep blowing Jisung off,” you sighed, “and neither can you.’
“You know he doesn’t want anything to do with me right now.”
“That doesn’t mean you should stop trying!”
“Look, can we not do this right now? When they’re literally right there?”
“You’re the one who pulled me aside right in front of them.”
You watched his jaw clench in frustration but he didn’t say anything else because he knew you were right.
“Can you ditch him or not?”
You sighed again and looked back to Jisung. He was in what looked to be a heated debate with Felix. You didn’t need to hear it to know it was over something stupid.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
-
Jisung barely bat an eye when you told him where you were going.
“Okay, be safe,” he said as he kicked off his shoes.
That’s it? That’s all he had to say to you? You wanted to ask him just that, but you were afraid of creating another rift between the two of you. Jisung had said he wasn’t ready to talk about it so you shouldn’t push, right? But was it wrong to keep leaving like this?
Going back and forth with yourself was only wasting time and Minho was still waiting for you downstairs. Fuck it.
You grabbed a spare room key from the dresser, shoved it in the pocket of your dress, and left without another word before you could change your mind.
Minho was right where you left him, leaning against the wall by the elevator hub. He grinned when he saw you.
“Thought you’d never escape.”
You rolled your eyes at him as you let him lead you through the lobby by the hand. You were still wary of people seeing you together but the lobby was seemingly empty.
“Jisung didn’t care. It was me who took forever.”
Minho paused, letting go of your hand as he gave you a concerned once over. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
You nodded. “Yeah, I don’t really want to talk about it. So, where are we going?”
He frowned, but only momentarily, quickly covering it up with a smile. “I- okay, um... remember how you said we don’t do ‘couple stuff’?”
“Yeah?”
“I thought maybe I could take you somewhere where we can do that.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m taking you on a date, silly.”
“Really? Where?” When he didn’t answer, you groaned. “You and your stupid surprises.”
“It’s more fun this way and you know it,” he insisted, tugging you along by the hand.
“I like being prepared,” you argued.
He grinned. “So be prepared for a good time.”
The drive wasn’t far at all this time but you were confused when he pulled into a crowded lot. You were even more confused when he didn’t turn off the car or more to get out of it.
You turned to him in confusion. “Minho?”
“Y/n?” he parroted.
“Where are we?”
“We’re on our date.”
“Yes, but where?”
“Did you not see the sign when we turned in?” You shook your head. He grinned. “It’s a drive-in.”
“Really?”
“Why do you think no one’s getting out of their car?”
“I didn’t really notice, to be honest.”
“Too distracted by your hot date?”
You didn’t spare him a reaction. “How’d you find this place?”
“I did some research the other night,” he explained, “when you, you know, we talked about it. I figured this is about as close as we could get to a real date. At least right now.”
“That’s… really thoughtful.”
He shrugged. “Nah, it’s nothing, really.”
“Well I was going to kiss you, but if it’s nothing—”
“No, no. I want the kiss. Give me my kiss.”
You chuckled, relenting as you leaned in. He met you halfway over the center console and kissed you sweetly. It was short but eager, just enough to leave you wanting more.
You had to remind yourself not to get your hopes up. Sure, Minho was showing interest in you now, but what about when this was all over? Would he want to do long-distance? Did he want to date you at all? You had been telling yourself that it was just sex all this time but now you were on a date... but what did it mean? You could just ask but you were scared to ruin the moment, ruin whatever it was that was actually going on.
You’d been asking yourself the same questions for weeks now and the scary thing was, it seemed like Minho was serious about you. He had all but said it outright to you. And here he was taking you on a fucking date. It was you who kept pushing back. You told yourself it was because of Jisung, but if you were being honest with yourself that was only half of it. You were afraid of getting hurt. You had never been in a real relationship before for that very reason. Well, that and you liked being single. It seemed favorable considering the dating pool of your university.
“I want another one,” Minho murmured, leaning in again.
“Nope, that’s all you get for now,” you teased, even though you did very much want to kiss him again.
His lips parted in surprise. “Wha- why?”
“Because I only promised you one! I can’t just go giving my kisses away, can I?”
“Sure you can,” he argued.
“That would lessen their value. I can’t wager them to get what I want if they’re not worth anything.”
“Your kisses are very valuable to me,” Minho insisted.
“Because I’m sparing with them.”
Minho inched even closer to your face, eyes trained on your mouth. “So I can earn them,” you started to nod, “if I’m a good boy?”
You almost choked on nothing, swallowing a moan. Minho watched your reaction with a self-satisfied smile and then settled back in his seat, turning his attention to the giant projector screen at the front of the parking lot.
“We’ll see,” you muttered hoarsely.
He hummed, still looking forward. “I’ll be good then.”
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

hii juno 😊
I spent all day thinking about this so I thought I would share: felix using baking as a form of aftercare.
like imagine, he invites you over to idk watch a movie or play some games. and then it ends up with you getting your guts rearranged. and afterwards it’s all kisses and cuddles, getting cleaned up, and falling asleep with him in his bed.
but then he wakes you up a while later and you’re so fucked out and tired and he’s like “I’m sorry, I know you’re tired, but I made you some brownies”. like I imagine the first time is like “….. what?”. like sleepily eating and having some water then felix just crawls back in for cuddles like it never happened. but then it just becomes a part of the routine. fuck, cuddle, clean up, brownies. fuck, cuddle, clean up, cookies. even late at night, even if it’s 2am, you know you’re getting your post-sex treat.
I’m gonna write this when I have the motivation, but i just needed to share it because I’m too obsessed.
🙈 anyway that’s it, byyyye
-🌨️
THIS IS RLY SWEET OF HIM. sex is SO exhausting too and i know felix fucks like a bunny so imagining him trying to get ur energy up afterwards n replenish u with brownies :(( my brownie boy PLEASE WRITE THIS
