Cruel Summer - Part 1 [JJ x Reader]

[A/N: Hi again. I've missed you. It was time for something new. I found this story in a dream. Prepare for a mental trip, it's indicative of the year i've had. This is gonna go in a million different directions and I can't say i'm surprised. Ive written two chapters and i'm already like ...well, fuck it i'm posting it...I needed to get back into writing and this is what I got so enjoy. I have a playlist I used while writing, comment if you want it shared. As always, not that any of us need the reminder....but there will be adult content (whatever that means) and language and NSFW content so...keep me off your screen at the dinner table. You ease your car into park, your hand resting on the gear shift, the tires slowly rocking back and forth on the soft ground as the engine dies. Sunlight streams through your windshield as a cloud of dust and sand settles around the car, and you feel a trapped breath release from deep in your chest. The quiet, melodic hum of music relaxes your shoulders and through the trees you can see the water rhythmically hitting the shore.

You haven’t been here in a few weeks and you're starting to feel it; the tight and uncomfortable tensing in your muscles, the locked jaw, the flat expressions. The closer it gets to the anniversary the more you feel the need to visit. But the frequency of your visits is dictated by Her, and She keeps tabs on your whereabouts a lot these days. ‘Its not healthy to spend so much time there’ She would say to you, while pulling a Valium out of her bag to slide towards you. She has your therapist on speed dial on the landline. And she blames you for living in the past. Ironic.

You pull your keys out of the ignition, unbuckle your seatbelt, and let your muscle memory guide you out of the car and through the trees to the edge of the embankment where the sand and the sea grass take over. Flashes of Lacey running down the beach in front of you, looking back over her shoulder and laughing, are burned into your eyelids when you blink. She was everywhere here, every corner of this beach belonged to her. Her towel spread out on the sand at your feet, books with water damaged pages scattered across it, her bag tossed lazily to the side. Her board perched against the log you used to dry out your wetsuits. Her camera.

You close your eyes and listen to the wind move through the grass, her laugh echoing off the rocks. Come on! She would laugh with an outstretched arm. Come take a picture with me.

Her lips were supple and her nose was sun kissed, her hair bleached and tousled from the saltwater. She would motion for you to come over and you would go, because you always did, to fit into the frame next to her, cramming yourself in wherever you could after she found her best angle. She would hold up the camera and wrap her arm around you tightly, the smell of her tanning oil and sweat floating around you in a heady cloud, and at the last moment she would press her lips to your cheek and whisper cheese.

You blink and look at the water again, a seagull squawking as it flies over the empty beach. Reaching into your jeans pocket and feeling for the photo, you pull it out and look down, the moment she clicked the button frozen in time on the paper in your hand. Her side profile was radiant, the wind blowing her hair around her lips which were pressed to your face, you looked straight at the camera with a shy smile, a hidden smile, a quiet smile. An honest smile.

You run your thumb across the picture reflexively before sighing and putting the picture back in your pocket, it was one of the last photos you had together and it was one of the only ones you could clearly make out your own face. That always bothered you. Now you’ll never forget how happy we were today. I love you. She shook the polaroid until it was developed, then pressed it into your chest and winked, waiting for you to grab ahold of it, before turning on her heal and running towards the water.

Your chest burns for a moment before you straighten up and set your jaw. You feel good today, closer to her than usual. Today might be the day. You follow the path through the dunes towards the water and concentrate on the tide, watching the foam and the water snake along the shoreline. It’s windy, but not as windy as it usually is this time of day. The sky, clear and clean of any clouds, is the colour of blue that reminds you what happiness is. Or was, you know, before all the shit happened. When life was something you had the ability to process, sometimes even enjoy.

Now or never. Your head whips up at the sound of her voice and you see her, standing in the water. You feel the blood rush to your face, your core warming. There she is, running a hand up her stomach towards her chest and smiling at you, the kind of smile that would get good people into bad situations.

Slowly you slide your sneakers off and kick them aside, wiggling the sand between your toes. You’re not wearing a bikini but the beach is empty, so you close your eyes and listen to Lacey laughing from the water, come on scaredy cat, nobodies looking, as you peel your top off and drop it into the sand beside your shoes. You unbutton your shorts next and let them slide down your legs, stepping out of them hesitantly.

Lacey walks out of the water, so you keep your eyes closed, knowing if you open them she will be gone, and you wait for her to bite her lip and smile at you. There. Look at your body. You’re beautiful. Come on. She guides you towards the water with nothing but her own bare skin and confidence, nothing could ever touch her. You know its only a few steps until your feet are in the water, you should open your eyes and look around to make sure nobody is watching, but you don’t get to see her often anymore between the Valium and the other stuff, so you forgo it for a few more seconds. Today is the day, you have to do it. Time is running out. She’s all but told you as much.

“I miss you” You say, but your voice sounds foreign and it breaks and scatters into the wind.

Im right here. Lacey smiles at you like she always did, her crooked dimpled grin, her perfectly straight white teeth, her eyes shining. Now shut up and get in the water.

You feel the warm dry sand turn to wet firm sand beneath your feet, you know you’re close. It’s ours, all of it. The water. Just let go and let the Ocean carry you. You’re weightless. Isn’t it perfect?

Your breathing is shallow and your palms are clammy. There’s a tingling sensation in your thighs and you feel dizzy. You have to open your eyes. No, don’t. Not yet. Stay with me.

The water touches your toes and your eyes shoot open, you recoil and lose your footing, falling backwards. You crab crawl away from the water until the tide retreats and you feel your vision tunnelling as Lacey fades into the sunbeam above the water.

You scramble back to your clothes and pull your shorts above your sand stained underwear, your shirt smoothing your hair down as it settles back over your shoulders. You take a few deep breaths until your heart rate slows down. A tear springs up and sits in your eye for a few moments before falling and drying on your cheek. The beach is the best place to cry. The ocean is loud so nobody hears you, and the sun is hot so the tears dry fast.

You don’t want to turn around and look back at the water, you know she won’t be there. You’re alone, properly alone, just like she said you would be, psychic bitch. If she hadn’t been so charismatic and beautiful and conveniently wealthy, people would have outcasted her for being a freak a long time ago. What with all the tealeaves and palm readings and ‘gut feelings’. But they never did, her family had more money than the Kennedys and she looked like she walked runways for fun on the weekends, so she was untouchable. Your stomach starts to turn as you think about it so you blink the ground in front of you back into focus and start walking.

You have a few minutes of freedom left before She starts calling and asking where you are, so you walk slow to savour it. Who knows when you would be allowed out long enough again to go back.

You emerge from the tree cover into the parking area, pondering how many different routes you can take to get home to elongate the drive, when you hear a car door close. You look up, pulled from your thoughts, and squint to see through the bright sun.

“‘Scuse me!” A voice says, deep and friendly. A silhouette is moving towards you, so you bring your hand up to block the sun from your eyes. “Hey, sorry, do you live around here?”

You blink a few times as the silhouette gets closer and make out the figure of a tall man with wispy hair and baggy shorts.

“Sorry?” You reply, still trying to get a clear image.

“Im just trying to find the Marina but I have taken at least 5 of these side roads and all I keep finding is empty damn parking lots.” The man stops a few feet from you, close enough that you can make out a tan face with a toothy grin, and blonde hair. “First one with a pretty girl though, so I must be going the right way.” He smiles at you confidently, shielding his own eyes from the sun, but still squinting.

You look back over your shoulder to the beach, confirming Lacey is gone. You turn and look at the man who is watching you intently, hopefully, and smile quietly.

“Yeah, it’s uh…its just back on the main road, go 3 clicks south and take a right at the fork. You’ll see a fancy sign for a beach club, it’s just past that.” You look past him to the old Ford truck with rusted wheel wells and smile to yourself. “Assuming you’re not going to the beach club.”

The man laughs and smiles, looking over your shoulder at the beach before his eyes settle back on you. “Nope. Never been to one of those…legally.” He winks and backs up a few steps, then nods and says “Thanks” before turning and walking back towards his truck. He slows as he reaches it and stops, then turns back and pivots before jogging back to you.

You wait and watch, curious. He stops a few steps away and stretches out his hand.

“Sorry. That was rude of me. Im JJ.”

Now that you mention how Jimin knows how he feels to be left out, will be there any flashbacks of his time away? Of how he managed and probably how he imagined his reunion with OC would be like? However it was back in the day, he is now so loved 💕 I also wanna see how he slowly turns into a family member that even outsiders would be like: Ah yeah, Jimin Park, son of OC´s mom 😩

Awww, they really were each other´s shadow when they were little 🤧 I understand better your pov with your background involved, thats why he loves her so much 😭 And of course he laughs! Who doesnt want a childhood sweetheart as their lover 🥰 Will we be able to read one of those scenarios when men poorly shot their "best" shot? That would be hilarious.

Im so sorry to be asking everytime if we will get to see this and see that, you may already have a timeline or some scenarios occuring (as these two you mentioned) but I cant help it! I do it not as a request, I do it cause Im curious. Rather than asking to have them written or not, I would like to know your opinion of them, would that be factible, will there be any differences? Is just so fun to daydream.

P.D. I LOVE GO GO HEART JIMIN VERSION, I go feral seeing him there, is one of my fav looks on him 😭 In response I wanna share this edit of him serenating with mariachi, a troka (Spanglish for truck), classic flowers (Tae holding them) and chocolates, and with a plane writing a message on the sky (Spanish for "Whats up mommy?") These kind of BTS memes in local situations are quite popular here in Mexico beucase they are beyond ridiculous but so much fun. I have more from what that came from hehe.

Hello! Sorry it took so long to respond, I've been working and then I get so tired on my days off! How are you?

I haven't written anything so far for hhh!jimin, but I definitely daydream way too much lol but I definitely wanna include oc writing little notes for jimin but it's harder since he works from home and ana doesn't seem like the type to keep a secret from jimin lol

Ooh, if I wrote about Jimin's past it would definitely be angsty. He'd try not to think about being shipped off to his aunt and uncle and they definitely treated him like a son, unlike his parents so he has a really good relationship with them but sometimes he wonders if he did anything to make his parents not want him around :( it doesn't bother him as an adult much since he's been known to cut people out without a second thought instead of trying to make the relationship work.

Yes, definitely! That's one of the drabbles I have planned. oc and Jimin go visit Jungkook's bar to catch up with him and Namjoon but also to meet the rest of oc's friends. I'm not sure how the plot will go but I hope to write it soon :)

I might write the Easter drabble first since I just got the cutest idea lol I'll have to write it down before I forget so i can plot around it later.

Love with Oikawa Tooru sounds like the incessant hum of your living room television playing in the background as you and Oikawa lay sound asleep on the couch. The two of you were sprawled on top of each other, both subconsciously competing for space on the tight sofa you were on.

This situation wouldn't have been the case if Oikawa hadn't suggested a movie night at 3 in the morning, and it also wouldn't have happened if you chose not to go along with it. However, the soft breathing, the relaxing atmosphere, and the overall comfort in this scene wasn't worth any complaints.

The TV, however, begged to differ. You woke up the next morning to find the poor thing overheated; it had been running all night.

i do like the trumpet but i need to start practicing more😭 i think it's fun though, i've been playing since i was little because it was the instrument i picked in like 4th grade and i couldn't switch

but i have to say all the jokes about trumpet players are true LMFAOAOAO literally i've only been friends with 4 people i've played trumpet in school with and 3 out of 4 of them suck😭 the 4th one moved and i was so sad bc she was so nice, she was the only person i was okay with sitting second chair to in middle school😭 but the stories i have about some of the other ones👀 like i feel like most things people say about people who play specific instruments are true bc generally brass players really are just... exactly what you'd think based on what people say😭😭

and the deer episode is really weird but it's in season 3 i think so by the time you get there you're used to weird episodes it's just a little weirder than normal

but my teacher isn't checking that project until the whole thing is due so i just have to make sure i keep up😎

my only teacher that really knows me and talks to me a lot is my band teacher bc depending on what classes you take you might not end up with the same teachers but there are only a few music teachers so unless you switch you'll have the same one, so i've had him for all my band classes and he's super nice, people will go to cry in his office and stuff like that😭 and he won't let you skip class to just hang out but if you come and play, or have a lunch or study hall he lets you stay in the band room. last year there was a lot of band kid drama™️ and i would go in his office and be like "you know what your students did today?" and i remember he checked in with me about a year ago when this girl was joining bc he knew we weren't on good terms and wanted to make sure i was alright(she happens to be one of the trumpet players from before😭) but he's great he's probably my favorite teacher

and my math teacher stopped making the videos for a bit because he would make the video for the lesson but everybody was failing stuff😭 so he stopped making them unless it was going over a specific homework question, but he's been making actual assignments for the videos and only posting them once a week so it's annoying but not as hard

and my day was pretty good, i facetimed my uncle and talked to him for a little bit, but i'm glad your day was better! and i will be staying tuned to find out if you're the new virgin mary😭 but how was today, how are you? how are your classes going? -🍓

my day yesterday was okay, i've just been relaxing, and studying occasionally. went out to explore a nearby town too, it's so pretty there. and much colder (since it's a highlands) of course!! Today was great too. I bought doughnuts (they're amazing?? I love doughnuts), and I had instant ramen, but it was SO spicy I nearly died. (Three bottles of water later, because someone finished all the milk in the household *cough* me *cough*) and I'm still just reeling. Sucks having such low spice tolerance HAHA. I'm listening to some old school hip-hop rn, while typing this out :D how were your two days?

here are some i'll be using to teach english :d and that would honestly be much appreciated, he's getting on my last nerve rn. (I included the first few, what do you think?)

(like that book award example) i may be getting the thing muddled up, but i found that so cool. like yeah, a book or speech could be absolutely beautiful, but if everyone can't enjoy it due to it being a different language, it would be such a shame. i just find translators really important. sorry, i'm really dorky haha 🥺🥺

peanut butter is indeed yellow, not up for discussion hehe :) here's my favourite hues!! I love gentle, soft hues like these (pastels) , for yellow; I don't have a favourite. they're all wonderful

Reading it for the first time was the BEST feeling ever. It's also my favourite book, "Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe".

My days were nice!!! Felt as if I had been hiding three bodies, but I've been feeling better lately. We had online school yesterday so I'm excused from the errands for the half of the day, thankfully. But your messages make me very happy. Y’all meet during a training exercise!

It’s something similar to USJ, except it’s across several different schools and classes

And y’all had to find a bunch of objects

So there’s a mixed bundle of people

It’s a sort of competition

And everyone is sweating bullets

And honestly??

You’re just vibin

And i mean this like, you don’t really seem concerned.

You’re just chilling while everyone’s fighting, trying to find the best solution.

Naturally, you’re worried, too

But you know that it’s kinda useless to try and talk over Monoma and Bakugou

Now

Denki’s staying pretty quiet, too.

While it looks like he’s just vibing, too, but honestly?

He’s crazy nervous

Because here are all these super talented heroes-to-be, he feels like he’s gonna be glossed over

So as everyone’s duking it out, the two of you are just kinda...hanging in there

Now the thing is

You guys are avoiding eye contact.

Not in the sense of ‘oh my god, you atrocity to man,’

But in the ‘two bros chilling in a hot tub’ way.

So as the entire thing is falling on its head

You look over and notice that he’s trying desperately to remain chill.

He’s kinda fiddling with himself

And you nudge him a bit

And as he turns to look at you, you may or may not be screaming ‘what the FUCK did I just do??????’ in your head

But when he faces you, you just give him a thumbs up

Like that

And he’s kinda at a loss

But he takes it, and gives you a smile and a big ol’ thumbs-up, too!!

There’s no interaction again, until he nudges you

“Do you think they’ll come up with something?”

You shrug.

“Considering that the only brain cell in my class went to the Class Rep, and it doesn’t look like these guys their class brain cell, I don’t think so.”

Denki pulls back a snort before wiping his smirk off his face.

“Do you think...we could try? On our own?”

“Maybe.” You shrug again. “You’re the shock quirk user, right?”

Denki is stunned

Did someone remember him?

Woah

From here on out consider him whipped

“Yeah! What’s your quirk?”

“Crystallian.”

You watch his face go through a journey of emotions before settling on muffled confusion.

“Warping, basic elemental magic.” You play with some of your hair. “It’s all tied to a crystal I keep at home. If it’s safe, I’m safe.”

Denki nods.

He hadn’t heard of quirks where they have a variety of unrelated uses

But he’s there for it!!

You two begin to make your own plan to succeed in the exercise

And once y’all look over and realise that the arguing isn’t going to change, thanks to Monoma egging Bakugou on

Y’all dip

And by that, I mean you warp him and yourself to the highest point in the building

Took one (1) look at the lights

Shared a glance

And y’all took out the power

Within about thirty minutes, y’all have all the goods!!

Most folks are still trying to get used to the lack of light

So when your group presents the stuff to the teachers, Aizawa is tired but takes it

And so you guys pass!!

You and Denki talk more after

And he finds out that you’re part of a special school for kids with special quirks

Which off the bat sounds really bad

But you meet folks that are like you

and you tell him that he’d probably fit right in.

He’s over the moon!!! For once!!

Someone that takes him seriously!!

Y’all exchange numbers and the entire class can’t begin to fathom that holy shit Denki Kaminari got a s/o before anyone else in the class

Throws them all for a loop

And meanwhile Denki’s thriving w hugs and cuddles

#2 is…Momo!

Momo is...complicated

She’s in a rich family with a strong quirk

She’s got more than enough pressure on her shoulders

Especially since she was in 1-A, so the entire literal country of Japan has their eyes on her

And all the while she’s doing her best to focus, focus, focus

She wanted one day where she could be like Mina, Ochako, Tooru, Jirou, Tsu…

Normal.

So she does it

One morning, while her parents are gone, and before anyone else is awake

She ties her hair up and places it into a gaudy blonde wig

(Which was a massive pain in the ass, but that was the price of freedom)

She dons sunglasses, an outfit that in any other case she would die being caught in

Leaves her phone on her bed

Tiptoes down the stairs

And leaves

The moment she’s past the gates of her house and out of view, she lets out an enormous sigh

She has no idea what she’s going to do

But her heart races a little, because that was the beauty of it!!

She finally had no rules, short of the law

So she waltzes down the road, the city wakes up, and as the first hour drips by, she notices a distinct wave of youth

They’re not doing much, just relaxing in cafes and alleys

and Momo wonders if anyone is planning to send truant police

but considering she’s doing the same exact thing, she’s not gonna call them out

But as she passes by an arcade, she notices a group

They’re a bit more subdued than most of the others, just watching one of their friends play a dancing game and fail horribly

But most notably, Momo sees you

You’re snorting at the lanky girl who’s tripping over her own feet, but at the same time, it looks like you’re cheering her on

Momo’s curious, of course, but she also doesn’t want to intrude

But then one of them, a boy, turns and waves her over

She jumps because oh my god and makes her way over

“Hey, did you want to play? Sorry that Tsukki was hogging the game.” The boy says, and you turn and glance at her.

At first, Momo’s wondering if she should really join in, but then she sees you, fully…

Unfortunately, you seem a bit closed off because you start talking to the last member of the party

Momo brushes it off and nods quickly

because goddamnit that’s what she’s here for

being a normal teenager

So she starts playing Tsukki

And Momo wipes the floor with her

Tsukki takes it well, fortunately, but it sparks conversation

“Where’d you learn to play?” The boy, Seong-Jin, kept on asking

Momo wasn’t crazy comfortable telling the Korean transfer student that she had ballroom classes

But as she’s about to make an excuse

She sees Present Mic out of the corner of her eye

And immediately panics

But before she can tell the four that she needs to hide, you come in clutch

You notice her look of panic and take off your jacket

And you drape it over her and pull up the hoodie.

At that point, all you can see is the bottom half of her face

(seeing as she never took off her sunglasses)

And a tuft of blonde hair

Present Mic even pops by for a second to ask how the kids were doing, and he didn’t recognise Momo

So crisis averted

Almost immediately afterwards, the five bail from the arcade and ask Momo why she freaked out

But then you speak up

“She doesn’t have to tell us. But next time you might need to bail, feel free.”

You gave her a soft smile, and when I tell you Momo’s face lights up

You two stick together for the rest of the day

And Seong-Jin, Tsukki, and the last person, Keito, are here for it

Bit by bit, they start separating into groups

That is, the Momo/YN group and the Everyone Else group

Soon enough, the three disappear to do something while Tsukki is shouting

And you and momo decide to take a break by a cafe, on a wall with foliage hitting your back

and you guys are talking as the sun begins to set

You guys talk about everything and anything

And Momo confesses it was the most fun she had in years

The way you talk to her is almost methodical, with how you seemed to tip toe around any insinuations or trauma.

“I know I only met you today, but if you ever need a place to crash…”

You trail off, playing a bit with your hands, but more out of awkwardness than anxiety.

Momo’s heart swells.

She manages out a ‘thank you’ before hesitantly leaning on your shoulder

And you take a deeeepp breath in

But you don’t nudge her off

And slowly she begins to fall asleep, and her wig is tilted and her sunglasses are askew

but you glance at her out of the corner of your eyes and give a soft smile

(that was not the last time you two met, and five years later at the altar, she’s wearing the same damn wig)

#3 is...Kirishima!

PINING

This sounds really simple

But Kirishima would absolutely pine after you for 3.8 million years

Y’all went to the same middle school and you were friends

And he’s all over you

Sometime between the first and third year of middle school he just fell head over heels

And so he tags along with you the entire time

But after the Giant Figure incident, and he says he’s won’t go to U.A., you get lowkey pissed

You tell him that he’s worked so hard, he’s come so far, why give up now, he’s only fourteen for god’s sake.

But he doesn’t listen

And you two don’t talk after that

After he decides to go for it and not live a life of regrets, he’s doing his best to become someone he wants to be

But the biggest looming regret he had was the fallout with you

And it was a nasty fall out-parents stopped talking, kids took sides, teachers knew

You went to a completely different school than what he thought you were

And he was pretty sure that due to the fallout and the constant movement of time, you changed your number

So he knew it wasn’t going to be as easy as just saying ‘You were right, sorry.’

It starts consuming him

Half of U.A. knows that he’s thinking about something

But it comes to a head when he’s sparring against Bakugou

And all he’s really doing is blocking

And bakugou loses his shit

“Get your fucking head out of the clouds and focus!”

“Sorry, dude!”

“What the fuck has you acting so damn stupid?”

Kirishima tells Bakugou, who gets it, but doesn’t really try to help

“Just tell her.” He hisses

But Kirishima’s nervous

And by the end of the week, he’s gotten a flurry of suggestions

People are coming up to him left and right, telling him what to do

And he just gets overwhelmed

On Saturday, he locks himself in his room until Mina knocks

She comes in and they start talking about you

And she mentions that she has your number, and that it really would matter if Kirishima was the one to text first

“YN supported you, and then it got rubbed in the dirt, and then ignored again. You need to be the one to say it, honestly, otherwise it’ll mean nothing.”

So he gets to work

He spends the rest of saturday trying to write it all out his emotions

But eventually he gives on getting them all neat and tidy, and just lets them ooze out

Sunday morning he gets up early and types it all out, willing his hands not to shake too much

Mina and Bakugou are there with him, and though Mina keeps making jokes and Bakugou doesn’t offer much in way of help, they’re there to support him

So when he sends it and lets out a sigh, Bakugou pats him on the back

“And now, we wait.” Mina murmurs, watching the phone with wide eyes.

And watching

And three days pass before Kirishima gets any sort of response

He’s expecting to be chewed out, to get the text equivalent of a teary welcome back

Not fucking eight ball.

But he clicks on it

And he wins, surprisingly

There’s a moment between his win and your text where he doesn’t dare breathe, just stand still

Before you text back

I think the thing we all learned here today is classical music is still very, VERY much alive. And that pop could be a pretty iNtEreStInG way to indoctrinate introduce people to classical music. I've been listening to a bunch of pop lately and honestly? It was a WEIRD experience. I kept getting befuddled by the amount of music there was (3 minutes of catchy beats is nOTHING against a half hour of intense musical dialog, argument, and passion) and the repetitiveness and simplicity of it (like dude wheres the motif? Is the motif your beat? Why is it playing the same thing over and over? Huh?). But, its still good music. There were a couple outliers too, that really gave me an experience. (Check out seasonal feathers by hitoshizuku it broke my heart) Look, what im trying to say is- classical and pop are both amazing genres of music that can do incredible things and I'm just happy that they can coexist together in one... piece? Of music. (My opinion might be a lil different compared to my lesson time on their other vid but hey people change)

So, lets get on with the songs!

Road to Kingdom - T. O. P. (Covered by Golden Child) and Swan Lake - Tchaikovsky. I... honestly, I didn't hear it at first. The electro music covered up much of the phrase. (please forgive my horrible usage of musical terms im just a kid thats really into classical music, in still learning how to understand and appreciate it everyday mkay?) Well, that's what I thought at first but I guess the transition from electro pop to singing along with classical jarred me so much that I had to listen to it a couple times before catching it. Anyways, the singing kinda vibed a lil with the music but when they changed singers or went a higher key, it started loosing that (already really loose) connection because even though I knew the tchaik would go higher, the singer went higher in a different key and it felt pretty weird and strange like what Eddy said. But overall, id listen to it. ...which isn't really that high of praise since I listen to everything (oh man... the days when i could still rap eminem's rap god to perfection...)

Shinhwa - T. O. P. and Swan Lake - Tchaikovsky (again). I'm not mad at them for using this a lot actually. I've been trying to watch the ballet on youtube but my classical music listening and appreciation and understanding skills are not yet that refined. (Aka i was already a goner when aCT ONE SCENE TWO WAS STARTING. Sigh, i need more training... and more Inside the Score) aNYWAYS- To quote Eddy, oh tHATS SO WEIRD. I literally said it at the exact same time as him lol. But like seriously thoooo. I thought it was gonna like, transition to the piece but like. No. They're just... singing to the tune. I mean like, you can't ruin perfection you guys but like- add a tune? Or something of your own? That isnt just lyrics? Ah shit, now I cant stop imaging playboy!Tchaik ugh. Thank you for making my brain run a mile a minute and being the reason why I won't be sleeping for a couple hours.

Top Dog - Topp Dog and Symphony in G Minor, No. 25 - Mozart. When I heard the first notes of the piece, I reacted the same as both of them. Aka, i recognized it but I forgot the name. As you do with classical music. I've always wanted to download and listen to that piece. Maybe this is a sign... Anyways, the piece here really just vibed with the song ykno? I think its because they decided that they didn't want to overpower the piece by slapping their own music on top but like... they accented and accompanied and complimented it without the spotlight being stolen from them. They brought their own little twist to it and I feel like thats why it works so much. But, I still prefer the orig because it isnt just tHREE MINUTES LONG. (cue airhorns and fire emojis) But its a great combo overall. 10 out of 10, would classical again.

Jimin - Lie and La Vida Breve - Manuel de Falla. Honestly, to me, i feel like literally anyone could come up with that tune. Its like, a really fast beat. You know how almost every basic piece of music uses dun dun tss as a beat? Its kinda like that to me. Because, speaking from my own personal opinions here, fast beats sound nice and that doesnt necessarily mean that it was inspired by a fast part in a piece. Or maybe Jimin listens to classical. WhO kNoWs?

Cherry Bullet - Hands Up and Beethoven's Fur Elise. That "EeeEeeeh" part made me laugh out loud the first time i watched this vid. It still jarrs me like oh my god what the heck why. Dude, they literally just slapped that part into different parts of the song and im- you didnt need to give me more reason to be sick of the opening of Fur Elise. I feel like if I listened to that, the opening is gonna be stuck in my head forever. At least they didnt repeat the "EEEEEE" thing. And honestly, id love to agree with the bois on this one but like... the opening of the song itself broke me im so sorry im so hung over this one detail gOD.

Gfriend - Summer Rain and Schumann - Dichterliebe. All i can say in this part is... Thank you editor-san for adding in that one detail those precious boys missed. But, as ive only seriously gotten into classical recently and therefore arent familiar with a lot of composers works, i can only hear the influence in the beginning instrumental of the song. So uh... might give it a listen for detail. But, i probably wont.

And, oh yeah is it just me or do they seem really tired? Or just... kinda out of it in this one? Because at the end, Eddy was just kinda... playin around with ding ding while Brett carries the energy for the both of them. Hope theyre not stressed but if they are, i hope they get some much needed rest and energy. I also wonder what was up with yesterday. Aka, they didn't post a vid yesterday and i got cONCERNED. I just hope theyre alright.

2/2 Continuing about me being jealous of tom sorry for the rent i just wanted to get it out even if its to a stranger like does he seem so down and sad also tired and sometime he tries to say comments like yeah Im a movie star what are gonna do about it like understand he was joking about it but he is made lots of similar comments about how marks and spencer it just a very something low brand i don't know he just feels different to me in those interviews and i like him too much ill be sad if he change.

hi anon, sorry i took me so long to respond but i’ve been trying to think of the best way to answer this.

i’m really sorry you're going through a tough time at the moment honey. I know it’s hard. what i do whenever i get down about stuff like that is i look at everything i have that’s not a material possession (e.g friends, family etc.) and think about ways in which i’m grateful for those things instead of putting my happiness into material items. I know it might sound strange but it really works. also, please don't feel bad about feeling down, you can't help the way you feel.

i decided the best way to answer the rest would be to split it up into sections so sorry if i miss anything. i would also take everything i say from now on with a pinch of salt because i don't personally know tom so everything i say from here is based on the very limited knowledge i do have, and of knowledge of similar stuff, i guess.

1. it can be really hard to not get wrapped up in the lives that celebrities lead, especially with social media doing everything to showcase how amazing it seems but i guess the best way to think about it is that we don't really know them. Sure we see a version of them but its unlikely that's the version they are when they’re around the people closest to them. So in that way, we never really know the person behind the public persona, no matter how open that celebrity appears to be.

2. in terms of money and clothes and stuff i guess the best way i can say this is to remember that a lot of the clothes he wears for press junkets and events and stuff don't actually belong to him, they’re usually on lone for the event. with the whole ‘arrogance’ thing it can be really hard in these interviews, especially when time is limited to make sure that things come across the way you want them (especially when they're edited too cause it’s out of the individuals' control).

3. if i remember correctly the marks and spencer joke came from him comparing his motion capture costume to the other avengers costumes and how he felt not like insignificant in comparison but you get what i mean. he was explaining how he wore that while they had costumes worth thousands of dollars and the way that made him feel. in terms of the movie star quote i do think that was just a joke. It just maybe didn't come off the way he wanted it to. both those things happened on the graham norton show where the segments were limited and there isn't a lot of time. i’ve watched that show for years and i know that most of what is said on the show is usually in an attempt to get laughs.

4. i guess another thing is that he’s been in the business a long time and in terms of looking ‘down and tired’ he’ll have his off days like everyone else, but unfortunately on some of his off days he'll have to do press because it comes with the territory so its just unfortunate. especially with the films he's doing being so big the press tours are long and it can't be easy. In terms of change, i understand what you’re saying, but i don't necessarily think he's changing in a bad way. i think that as he’s becoming more experienced he’s growing and maturing. so i think that’s the change you might be seeing.

I'm really sorry if this isn't what you were looking for, i was just trying to rationalise all the points and (hopefully) try and help but i'm no expert so i can't tell if any of this actually makes sense.

tbh, most times I feel like I come up with lazy story ideas, like, I kind of just merge various tropes and plots into one fic, but the product is just ... lazy. idk. you're also 100% not obligated to come into my ask box every time that I'm online or anything; you do not owe me anything, and I'm not entitled to your thoughts about my stuff. Like, you definitely do not have to read my stupid ideas about renjun ._. honestly, my fics can probably be superimposed onto different members if you think about it; it's just arbitrary that I see a certain member in the light of the fic.

but I'm glad you liked privacy. I've been thinking about it for awhile, since season 2 episode 6 The Choice, but I just didn't write it ... until i did. Tbh, people keep saying that they don't watch bridgerton (I literally do not know more than one other person who has seen through season 2), and I was on the fence about it too, but Jaemin mentioned that he liked season 1 so I tried it out again and s2 is a lot better than s1. But in terms of the fic, idk ... I kinda saw someone else do a bridgerton inspired fic, and I got irritated at, like, the western-specific history, which is dumb because everyone is entitled to their own writing, but I just feel like there's not enough Asian art or Asian history. Like, everything has to be set in America, in an American context, in American English, etc., and it gets a bit tiring, but I also recognize how pretentious that sounds, so I just write my own fics set in Korea, in a Korean/ish context, in the Seoul dialect.

The jeno fic (Married) is out now!!! I hope it doesn't disappoint. I spent like two weeks writing this, rewriting every intro paragraph like 5 times over so that everything flows.

To your surprise, heactually wanted to hear a little more about why you do this, and what otherthings there were to do. He wanted to join you in this one as well! He wantedto think of all the happy times he can have with you for this next year!

ZEN:

He came home and the house did notsmell like it normally did and he was concerned. He called out to you, hopingthat the smell was something you were doing and doing it safely. He found you standing on a chair in the center of the room,hoping some sort of… stick? Maybe? “MC! What are you doing? You could’vefallen!” he swooped you off of the chair, placing you on your feet gentlybut then suddenly started to cough over the smoke in his face- you quicklymoved it to the side. “Ah, sorry Hyun! I just wanted to banish all of theold energy from our house,” you tried to explain as you continued tosmudge the area around yourself. The look on his face said it all- he had noidea what you were talking about. You asked him to walk with you as youfinished smudging the rest of the house, explaining it was a cleansing ritual-with the herbs sage, mugwort, bay leaf, and lavender tired together with yard,you could hopefully dispel any old or bad energy, leaving the house fresh andnew! He understood after a while, but would never attempt to do it on hisown… if it made you feel better, he would absolutely let you do it.

JAEHEE:

“..MC… can I ask why you’relying in the middle of the floor?” she asked, closing the door behind her.You could often be found throwing yourself across the furniture and laying onthe ground, she didn’t think too much of it until she saw your hands movingaround, then she realized you were meditating and immediately felt bad- shedidn’t interrupt, did she? She sat a few feet away from your head, waitinguntil you were finished to actually talk to you. When you sat up, you greetedher and told her not to worry, you hadn’t even noticed her come in. The point is to try and scare yourself,” youtold him, stopping on one you wanted, turning to find him crossing his arms,shaking his head, and turning to leave the room- he muttered a soft “It’sa horrible idea” under his breath as he left the room. At midnight thatnight, you wrote your name on this piece of paper, pricking your finger to puta small drop of blood onto the paper- you light the candle and turn the rest ofthe lights off before knocking on the wooden door 22 times, all before 12:01am.You open the door, blow out the candle, then shut the door again before rushingto relight the candle and leaving the room, keeping the candle lit. You were tothink about your wish and keep close watch of the flame until 3:33am- as wellas watching for drops in temperature and faint whispers- this would mean theMidnight Man was close and you had to be very careful. You had spent so muchtime walking around, you began to get bored, but were too afraid to stop. Aftera while, you heard faint whispers behind you, and you immediately started towalk faster, being aware of the flame in front of you. You started to panic- ohno. This is real, isn’t it. Why didn’t you listen to Jumin? Why did you need totry and freak yourself out? Turning a corner, your flame went out and you werefrozen in place, your heart immediately beating in your ears. Suddenly, youhear Jumin whisper, “Well, did you get the scare you were looking for,MC?” You dropped the candle to the floor, immediately swinging your armsin front of you until you make contact with his chest, which he returned with asoft “oof” and a soft chuckle before pulling you close to hold you.

SAEYOUNG:

“Legend says that during thenight, a rift will open between the land of the living and the domain of thespirits,” he said in his best story telling voice- he was dressed in ablack, intimidating robe, trying to scare you the night before Halloween. Hehad a flashlight on under his chin and turned off the power to the whole house-Saeran was pissed. Yet, he stayed for Saeyoung’s story, which he continuedafter his dramatic pause. “Communication can lead to wishes being grantedand good fortune- for the living! The other side demands horrific payment fortheir services, ooooooo~” he wiggled his fingers to emphasize the spooky.You stared at him with an extremely unamused look on your face- you couldn’ttake him serious- even when he asked you to play the game with him. Between 2amand 5am on Halloween, the two of you closed yourselves in a small room, staringat a mirror that you couldn’t even clearly see in the dark.“Okay MC, whenthe rift opens, you should feel the room go cold, that’s when you put your handon the mirror and whisper, ‘I accept’. Then, we’ll see a figure in the mirror-a figure way too frightening to describe. Then you must answer all five oftheir deeply personal questions, you must answer honestly- each one you lieabout, they will take one of your five senses. Each one you get correct, youcan place a death curse on anyone you decide.” You tried to look at himlike he was an idiot but being in the dark made that hard. Suddenly, there wasa soft breeze behind your ear, you raised your elbow a little and jammed itinto his stomach hard enough to get an 'oomph’ from him. You knew he was tryingto just scare you. He chuckled a little, pulling your back closer to his chest,he started to nuzzle against your shoulder until the both of you felt the roomget extremely cold in a flash- the both of you turned stiff for a moment beforeyour adrenaline kicked in and the both of you started to push the other out ofthe way to escape the room. Saeran had to hold back a laugh from his place behind the mirror, where he had a portable air conditioner running silently.

JIHYUN:

Always willing to see differentparts of you and anything you like or believe in! So on Samhain, you wanted tohelp him with his past in any way you know how- Mandalas! He watched as you drew a circle in the dirt largeenough to hold your phone- then you plopped yourself down to the ground. With asigh, he sat next to you and stared at the phone for what seemed like too long.You kept staring, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 11 minutes, the time kept increasingand the whole time he kept trying to break your gaze from the phone, but youwere dedicated to this thing and he gave up. After 15 minutes, your phone litup from a call from a private number- Saeran went to answer once he realizedyou weren’t going to- you had to shoo him away quickly. “You can’tanswer!!!! You can’t, this is supposed to happen! Now, we wait for a text, andmake sure not to take the phone from the circle. It’s supposed to be anothernumber that we can call, then we tell this man our address, and he’ll tell usthat we’ll get a package at precisely 11:59 on November 1st!” you staredat the phone explaining it all, as Saeran just looked at you with an eyebrowraised- looking up across the yard, he saw his brother hiding around the cornerof the house, raising a finger to his lips to keep him quiet. Now he knew thiswas a prank and nothing that can truly hurt you- good. He would playalong.“What’s in this package, MC?” he asked, curious as to just whatkind of story his brother planted into your head. “You find a smalltransistor radio with batteries! You can put in the batteries but youabsolutely can’t turn on the radio until 12:15am, then go to the AM channel111.1 and listen- it says the guy from tonight will be muttering and will giveus a headache but we can’t stop listening. At 12:25 am on the dot, the messagewill stop and soft music will play- and until then, so long as you keep theradio on you and turned on, you’ll experience good luck!” you kept staringat the phone, speaking quickly, trying to get the story out before that textcame in. Saeran had to hide his growing laughter, “Okay okay, so wait.This dumb ritual will give you good luck? That’s what this is about?”“Yeah, but apparently, when the radio’s batteries die, everythingdrastically changes. Like, you’ll feel someone tracking your every move, see afigure in the shadows, hear a sound you can’t place, up until it makes itselfknown and comes to claim its payment!” your voice turned high pitched nearthe end of your explanation, as you watched your phone light up from theexpected text. He sat through the rest of your ritual, watching you one momentand turning to watch his brother with a voice box and his cell phone across theway. He’d allow this to happen, only this time, because you did bring this uponyourself.

VANDERWOOD:

“And you want to do…. what,now?” he asked, staring at you in disbelief. You told him about this…insane idea you had to play this creepy game to see if it was real. Why you hadthis fascination with trying to do these scary things, he would never know. Infact, he started to think you hung out with Saeyoung too often- he’s rubbingoff on you. You told him about this ritual you found called the “The ThreeKings”, and you were dying to see if it was the real thing- after all, thewarning did say “do not attempt on your own”- so it had to be scary,right? You made him help you set up- three chairs, two mirrors, and a candleset in a specific position according to the chart online. You leave the roomuntouched from midnight to 3:30am, then you take your place at the King’sthrone, candle lit, as you stare straight in front of you into the darkness.Vanderwood stood, leaning against the wall, watching this all go down. Hedidn’t want you to sit alone and have something… actually happen to you-though he knew it never would. It was all fake, just something to scareyourself, and he will be here once again to reassure you that everything wasfine. You told him that until 4:34am, you must stare only straight ahead, andbe aware of if the light on the candle goes out. For almost half an hour, youstared at the spot in front of you- he got tired of it. Kept telling you howeverything was fake, nothing would be happening, and that you were just goingto scare yourself over your own imagination- when your candle flame suddenlyblew out. The girlish scream that followed definitely did not come out of yourown mouth- though you were the one who blew out the candle in the first placeto freak out your “I-Don’t-Believe-In-That-Shit” of a partner, whichyou succeeded in.

I need financial opinions on whole life insurance policies and am afraid to ask an advisor for fear that he/she would try to sell me something. We purchased three whole life policies in 1991. I know now that most experts advise against them now because of the high premiums, and advise buying term and investing extra money elsewhere......but we have accumulated a lot of dividends over the years but we're at the point now that we are tired of paying the premiums and thinking about having the dividends pay for the policies until the dividends run out....and then of course we would start paying for the polciies again.
