i know this has been said tons of times already in different ways but,

i just love the way Miguel and the Spider Society forcing everyone to follow the “canon” and telling Miles that he is not allowed to change the predestined story because “everyone else had to go through it” is an excellent metaphor for older generations re-enforcing to younger generations the ideology that the suffering they have to go through of whatever kind is normal and expected.

it’s like that saying “if i had to grow through hell, so do you.” but the thing is, Spiderman is the hero who is typically the one saying, “i’ll make sure you never go through hell like i did.” it’s such a cool way to show the conflict and disconnect between the two ideologies that Miles struggles with in the film

just….like the fact that Miguel and Jessica sort of symbolize the kind of parents who worked their asses off to make sure the world you live in will be better than theirs then feel upset and betrayed when their child who has the privilege to live a life they might have desired in the kid’s age. definitely didn’t find any relatability to that aha

I just love that it’s the fact that Spiderman’s story of losing Uncle Ben, losing the police chief, losing Gwen, are things Miles is told he cannot fight (the whole parallel between being told life = suffering and desiring a happier outcome won’t work). BUT THEN, Miles says fuck that! he says “no, why should i have to put up with that when i know i can change it!” and just 🫠

I was wondering if there are any rare happy ritsu moments in ur zombie au since hes always miserable I think,, like is he always miserable or is he happy/not miserable and feeling kinda good sometimes?

VWHDGDGD NO YEAH OFC HE'S HAPPY SOMETIMES im just horrible and enjoy putting him through misery

ive never been able to get a genuine smile to look right on his face in my art style either i think thats part of it. as ive said his face is just built to be mildly uncomfortable and bothered and i lean into it sm it's starting to get kinda funny

but yes ritsu is happy plenty! i think, canonically, he just seems like the type of person to me that tends to turn lemonade back into lemons. he's easy to scare and his first reaction to things is often Dread and Anxiety. he dwells on the negatives a lot and seems to be a "hope for the best, expect the worst," kinda guy, but there's a section in this post abt shigeo always loving the little things in life, and ritsu steadily learns throughout the journey on how to do that and how healing it can rly be. even if he had to grow up too fast during this whole thing and learn things a kid should never have to, the journey also gave him some good insight and lessons in other places! ritsu is smart, he figures it all out

in terms of little things here n there he's the happiest lil guy on the planet when he finds one of his favorite foods—swings his legs while he sits and munches on a kitkat bar like he's got absolutely nothin in the world to worry abt. sometimes mob does smth funny that he laughs at; for the longest time i've had this silly image in my head of mob accidentally knocking down a bucket from a store shelf and it lands on his head and he just kinda stands there and makes noises.when the noises continue out of pure curiosity about the weird echoey quality it's giving them ritsu cannot help but lose it

besides tiny things tho, when tome comes around ritsu in general is a lot happier, just cuz he has somebody to talk to that will actually respond in some way. they're sorta reluctant partners in crime at first (at least on ritsu's end) but over time and over bonding they grow to rly like each other's presence. they bicker constantly but it's almost always fond eventually, and they shove each other and playfight until mob gets antsy enough to get worked up about it. rly, tome is a godsend to ritsu's mental health—after months and months of being effectively alone with his thoughts, he finally has another person to converse with. a person His Age, too!

tome is rly good at knowing when ritsu is thinkin himself into oblivion and she's Also rly good at being the most annoying girl on the planet to yank him outta that and replace any misery with Oh My God Get Off Me You Freak. she doesn't even do this on purpose at first, but over time she learns how to tell when he's thinking too hard and, ofc, she's grown attached and she cares, so she's as obnoxious as possible to lighten the mood

when they find reigen n teru, ritsu gradually gets Much happier still. now that he knows they're safe and the gang is finally back together (and now that there's an Adult present and he can relax a lil and let himself be taken care of) his stress levels r exponentially lowered. having teru back is another instant lift to his mood—im always a big fan of teru and ritsu friendship, and i think adding tome to their dynamic simply makes it more chaotic. truly a trio of the 3 most normal teenagers in existence which will surely bring nothing but good (reigen sweats offscreen)

hi. i love thorbruce and I think it would be a pretty cool move to have them get together, so I rewrote the plot for all the movies that they are in from the first thor to love and thunder. i don’t want to write it into a full fanfic because i’m lazy (this will be a recurring theme), but nonetheless i still wanted to share my ideas. 

i know a lot of things either don’t make sense and there’s a lot of plotholes, so I’m not looking for critique, but I would love to hear if anyone has any ideas on what they would want to do with the mcu in their hands. 

i am in no way condemning fanfic writers who have the energy to write long, thoughtful fanfics, i am simply not able to do that myself, but i do love sharing my ideas. don’t read if you don’t want to read; simple as that.

we lean into bruce banner being a total dick, like he is in the comics, before becoming hulk in the movie

betty can be in the story, just not as a love interest, i am sick of all marvel origin movies having similar romantic plotlines

after the accident and being chased away, he pretty much does a 180 (he’s always a whore in the comics but heroes are likable) and learns how to end the cycle of abuse from his father while also not doing that at all. the result is a more empathetic and kind Bruce but at the same time 1000% more depressed and unstable. he cuts ties with everyone he knew in the film and runs away to kalkota, partially because the us government is after him and partly because he wants to start over and do some good, a sad attempt at fixing all of his wrongs both as the hulk and as shitty bruce banner

not sure if i like this idea but maybe he goes by "robert" until the very end where he thinks going by bruce means hes completely changed

I'm so upset at the closing of Tango Gameworks. They make an innovative, super fun, well selling, and critically acclaimed game and as thanks the studio gets shut down by Microsoft. What the fuck are devs supposed to do in order to get treated with respect, I genuinely don't understand. Gonna think long and hard before I ever purchase any game published by Bethesda/Microsoft going forward.

ok guys i dont wanna be a hater but im gonna be 100% honest i didnt rlly like the nimona movie 😭 I MEAN IT WAS FUN. it was nice. but i feel like it was missing everything that made me like the original graphic novel and honestly by the last like 30 minutes i was kind of just waiting for it to be over so i could read the book again 😭 NO HATE TO ANYONE WHO RLLY LIKED IT believe me when i say i dont think it is bad or anything. but i feel like just sooooo much was changed that it didnt feel like nimona at all to me. idk how to explain it, im sure once i reread the book i’ll be able to put it into words since the original will be more fresh in my mind. i think it was good but as someone who was literally obsessed w the og graphic novel it was honestly kinda disappointing. but i dont rlly care honestly its still rlly cool it got a movie!! 

but in my mind at least it proves that some things dont need to be made into a movie. ppl act like movies are the best form a piece of media can take and if something gets made into a movie then that’d be the peak form of it. but i honestly think nimona works wayyyyyy better in its original graphic novel form. most of the early stuff is way more slice of life lowkey stuff that lets you get attached to ballister and nimona as characters and get invested in their relationship w each other, BEFORE all the angsty final act stuff happens. also there honestly was just a ton of stuff that felt to me like it worked better in the original, like jousting tournament thing instead of the knighting ceremony, nimona being captured and being forced to turn into her “true” form rather than this new version with it just sort of happening bcuz of Emotions, etc. also the movie suffered from a lot of pacing and tone issues imo but the former i think is just from that lack of the slow buildup of their friendship, and the latter is something that i think just worked better in the book. idk again I’LL BE ABLE TO SAY THIS STUFF MORE CONCRETELY WHEN I ACTUALLY REREAD THE BOOK but i dont remember there being so much jokes and goofy shit DURING serious scenes. like iirc in the original during serious scenes it was SERIOUS. but in the movie theres so many unnecessary unfunny jokes and stuff. idk IDK i probably just had too high expectations idk. anyways

I hate being powerless to help. I hate not being able to make real change. I hate being one person and a teenager at that. There’s nothing I can do except spread information. Informations can go a long way but not far enough. I hate standing by and not being able to make change, there are people suffering hell on earth, losing friends, family, jobs, their homes, and of course their own lives. My own country is funding this genocide and people are even supporting it because they are Judging them both by western standards. If it’s not clear, I’m talking about the Palestine/isreal situation. I believe that Palestine should be free, as any sane person would think. I don’t know how people can say that Palestinians are terrorists. Our own president has said isreal suffered something along the equivalent of “20 9/11s”, something similar to that. Even if some people are homophobic or misogynistic for not letting women drive I still don’t think them and their family should be fucking bombed, harming the children more than anything. I’m incredibly angry about not being able to do anything other than sharing things but if I find any links to organizations that provide relief for Palestine, I’ll add them
