That's so funny. The universe is like I'm going to let you find your soulmate at 19 but every judgement you make about a man after that is going to be sh*t
this is why i simply do not trust anthony padilla

Michael blinks, watching his surroundings. Green hues look around in an attempt to take in the surrounding area before landing on the silhouette of someone sitting down in the distance. It looked like… a little boy?
This is so vastly different from the previous place he’d just been in…. He recalls a fire, and falling, but not much else.
This new location was far too unfamiliar to him, and the closest person Michael could see was the person in the distance. With a huff, he makes haste to approach whoever was ahead. As he got closer and closer, he could make out more of the boy, and he was correct in his assessment of him being young.
Weirdly enough, he appeared to be sitting in front of some sort of old, covered up well on the ground. The boy had been staring down inside of it with his legs curled up to his chest. How long had he been sitting here?
“Hey… Excuse me, where are we?” Michael spits out, completely disoriented.
The boy nearly jumps at the sudden voice. Someone else was here? He turns his head to look at the newcomer. He looked like a teenager, at most. Someone older than him.
“Oh, um… my neighborhood?” He replies.
“Well, sure, but where? As in, what city? I think I’m lost.” Michael’s voice is cautious. The little boy’s eyes were a solid, bright green. He hadn’t seen eyes like that since…
“Oh, um… London, I think is what Father says, we’re in London.” His voice is quiet. Nearly a whisper.
London couldn’t be correct. How did Michael get from St. George, Utah, all the way to London, England? If that was the case, we was super lost. How did he get here again?
There was fire. There was a robot. There was…
“Hrrk—!” A sudden pain shoots through Mike’s head at the thought. Alright, try not to think about that.
“Are you okay, Mister?” The kid’s turned fully towards the older man, tilting his head. “You went pale.”
“Oh, I’m… fine, sorry, I think I have a bit of a headache.” Michael chuckles awkwardly. “Thank you for telling me where we are, do you mind telling me your name?”
The boy hesitates. He thinks that he’s not supposed to talk to strangers. Especially ones that are older than him. All they do is bully him. But this man didn’t seem to have the intent to hurt him. Maybe he was okay?
“Will. William.” He answers in a flat tone, soon looking back down to the deep crevice in the earth.
“Will, huh?” The name sent unease down Michael’s spine. The boy’s eyes had a sort of emptiness to them that seemed so uncharacteristic for someone of his age. “Why do you keep looking down there, Will?”
“My bunny is down there.” Green, focused eyes remain locked onto the entrance. “They didn’t get him when they got me out.”
Oh.
Michael looks down, trying to look to the bottom. He couldn’t see it, the sky’s overcast made it too dark to see down inside the pit. William fell down there.
“….. I’m hungry.” William suddenly says, mindlessly. He’s seemingly unphased by his words, but Michael spots the boy’s hand balling his shirt in his fist just over his stomach. “It hurts.”
Michael bites his lip. It hurts? That sounds awfully familiar. The pang of hunger is all too familiar to him.
“You can go home and eat, right?” The older boy feels like he already knows the answer.
William shakes his head, confirming Michael’s suspicions.
“Nothing helps.” He turns to look at the older boy, and as he speaks, Michael can see vaguely sharper teeth in his mouth. They stick out as he talks. Michael finally understands.
He doesn’t know how or why, but he’s standing in front of his father as a child. The thought sickens him and makes him dizzy—How is this even possible?
William Afton, the man who killed all those children, sat before him as a child himself. The monster. The man who ruined everything for all of Hurricane. He’s…. just a starving kid. Michael wants to scream. He wants to cry. He wants to throw himself down the well and hope that nobody cares to save him. Maybe bring William down with him.
But he… can’t. He can’t do that. William, like this, doesn’t deserve it. He hasn’t done anything wrong.
“Nothing helps.” William repeats to himself. “I’m hungry all the time. I don’t… Like being hungry. It hurts. I don’t know how to not be hungry.”
This pulls Michael out of his own head. There’s desperation in his voice that Michael hasn’t heard before. Definitely not from the flat tone of his voice from before. It’s a familiar desperation. Michael knows all too well what it means to be hungry. Ravenous. Starving.
Father always used his hunger as a source of control. He’s who made Michael terrified of the fact he’d a pred, after all. Father would hurt and play with his food. His prey. Cocky and confident. Always hungry and always demanding more. Nothing could satisfy father. Nothing did satisfy him. He would always want more. He was terrifying.
Nothing quite like the kid in front of him.
Michael felt awful. Both in who his father is, and the fact he felt the need to help the boy before him.
“You have sharp teeth?” Michael finally speaks.
“Huh? Oh…. yeah. I don’t know why. They’re very sharp.” William’s gaze breaks from the well, finally shifting to the older boy. He shifts uncomfortably. “They call me a freak. A monster. I think I agree with them.”
This takes Michael by surprise. He’s just a kid, why would he even be a monster? It’s true that he becomes one, but…. He’s so innocent right now.
Right now, Michael reminds himself. He knows he’s a monster. He deserves to fall into that well.
He’s just a kid!
“Well, if it means anything, I think it’s unique. Look.” Michael begins, pushing his thoughts aside. He’s going to ignore the fact that his heart is racing in his chest. Taking a breath, Michael lifts his hand to lift up the corner of his lip, showing off one of his sharper canines.
William’s face lights up. He finally stands, his attention fully on the stranger.
“You have them, too? You’re a monster, too?!” Excitement riddles his voice. He’s full of so much child-like joy.
See? He’s just a child.
Michael pulls his hand out of his mouth, chuckling. He shakes his head.
How pathetically ironic this is. Michael hates the fact he’s a predator. Yes, he’s a monster. Of course he is. He needs to eat people in order to function. How is that not freakish?
This kid, William, isn’t a monster. He’s not a freak. He’s just a kid who doesn’t know who he is. Not yet. He’s just… scared. Scared like him.
God, Mike hates himself. He bites his lip and takes a breath.
“Like I said, unique. It makes you special. You’re not like the other kids. You’re cool, cooler than they’ll ever be.”
William’s eyes stare at the older boy, intently watching with an innocence in his eyes that Michael’s never seen out of his father.
“Special…? Really?” William repeats the words, wondering just how this can make him special. “I’m special. We’re special.”
It’s almost like he’s trying to convince himself of the truth. The words are just beyond his reach, but he’s desperately trying to reach out to them.
“Oh, um… Mister, you never told me your name.” William’s smile is heard through his voice. You wouldn’t need to see him in order to know how happy he is to be told something positive about himself.
“Oh? It’s… Mike, William. Call me Mike.”
“You’re special, Mike.”
The older boy gently gasps with surprise.

getting some mcc thoughts/predictions right out of the way (bit of a ramble):
First off, I saw cpk’s vid and just. I have so many Opinions. Like, right off the bat, no shot red gets 10th. I’m just outright saying it- and maybe I’m biased because I’m a jojo believer and therefore a red believer but there’s just no way.
For starters, Shadoune’s placement last MCC was NOT reflective of his skill- and I’m not even talking about his pvp. That was probably the most competitive MCC yet, literally half the teams had an s-tier duo, jojo and pete were allowed somehow and they DIDN’T EVEN WIN, like that’s how competitive it was. He was put in his first MCC, with (a bit of a) language barrier, no s-tier on the team, and LITERALLY everyone- *cough* the reddit- unanimously put them 10th. And then they didn’t! So, defying predictions from the first MCC. Crazy. Also, Jojo’s good. Like she’s so well rounded- pvp, movement, leadership, and her comms are amazing. She’s the one that runs through what each game is, the strategies, what to do, what not to do, before every game. For new players especially, she’s such a good leader. She’s not gonna let anyone fall behind or not know what’s going on.
As far as the new players go- and the unknown substitution- I don’t know too much. But I’ve heard good things about pvp, and, y’all. this team is gonna practice for sure. ALSO Shad got 13th in PKW last MCC?? In his first one, with such a stacked roster?? He’s clearly so insane, like between him and jojo and the other guys they are going to do SO WELL! (maybe not 1st place well. but one can hope.) all I’m saying is 10th place is absurd. put some respect on jojo’s name, at least.

i’ve now had alcohol so the complete lack of a shit that the writers of mcm/illain and wife had back in the 70s is funnier now bc how the fuck are you gonna have a chick be preggers for an entire season, pop a baby out, and the baby straight up vanishes an episode later never to be spoken of again lmao

I Get a Craving and I Wake Up For You

AO3 LINK.
Rowan belongs to @wonderful-bellies. Luke belongs to me. (Medli wrote half of this chapter! We're going to be writing together from now on!)
Rowan sits alone.
Rowan doesn’t know what’s wrong with him. He can’t let people get close to him, because he’s just going to hurt them. He tries to push his roommate, Luke, away, and things just get worse. He’d hurt Luke. Does he even care? He doesn’t want to hurt Luke, but he ended up hurting him anyway. He knew that the moment he thought of eating Luke more than once that things would go down hill, and they did.
Oliver called him an asshole. Luke started panicking and shrunk down, unresponsive. Oliver made it sound like he was the cause of that, and he was right. It was ROWAN who cut Luke off and got in his face. ROWAN, who yelled at him and told him he wasn’t interested. He had to lie. Of COURSE he did. If he didn’t, Luke was going to end up just like…
The predator groans, slapping his face and pinching the bridge of his nose. Don’t think about it, don’t think about it.
His predator urges were always so easy to control. They never were so bad. Rowan used to be able to go weeks to a month without needing to bribe someone to be eaten and stay in his stomach for an hour or two. They would never see each other again.
Rowan lays down flat in his bed, keeping his hands covering his face. He feels so horrible. Like a massive dumbbell is compressing his chest. If he had one with him now, he’d definitely lay it on his chest. The feeling within his chest overwhelmed him. It felt like a heavy, black tar that pumps itself from his heart and into his veins.
He hates this feeling.
“What did I do wrong?” He asks himself.
A lot, clearly.
“For Luke’s sake, you’d best think of an apology. You were being an asshole, and I can’t believe you can’t see how hard he’s trying to make this work with you. The way I see it, you don’t deserve it.”
If pushing people away made him an asshole, maybe being an asshole is okay.
( No, you idiot! Oliver essentially told you that you triggered him and forced him to shrink like that. That was YOUR fault, and he felt it necessary to use sarcasm. )
But what if he hurts Luke by being open with his predator bullshit?
He doesn’t even know how he was being an asshole in the first place. He was trying to protect Luke from Rowan himself. How is that an asshole thing to do?
Could he have been nicer in tone about it? Maybe his yelling is what forced Luke to shift tiny. It triggered something that Luke felt he needed to hide, right? It was something that Luke was hiding from Rowan, just like Rowan tried to hide the fact he’s a predator from Luke.
Oliver said that Luke never tells anyone what he goes through. It’s the same thing as himself, isn’t it? God, it’s like his hunger forcing fugues, isn’t it? His stress forced his body to change size. Stress that he caused. The fact that the predator was responsible for that…
Rowan, for all his faults, tries so hard to keep himself from hurting people. He was told that the fact he needed to eat people was something to be ashamed of. It would hurt other people. Instead, he hurt Luke just by… well, being himself. Not by being a predator.
Why does the thought of this bring such agony to the man? Why does his stomach churn uncomfortably at the thought? Why does Rowan feel nauseous?
He may as well dig a pit for himself and fall into it. Disappear and never return. He’d already fucked up this roommate situation. Luke’s going to get rid of him. Oliver will tell him to kick Rowan out, and it’ll be what Rowan deserves. He doesn’t deserve anything nice.
He should starve himself.
No, No, wait… No he shouldn't. He shouldn’t, because the last time he didn’t feed himself around Luke, he nearly fell into a fugue, and the second time he did fall into a fugue. What was he supposed to do, then?
Hide the monster, never let anyone get too close and risk seeing that side of him. It was his one rule, his biggest most important rule. It was the first lesson he’d learned as a predator. He is dangerous, he is deserving of punishment in the face of his voracious instincts. The lesson was drilled into his head; a flashing neon sign. Always reminding him in his subconscious that he was a monster and always would be.
So why… Why did it always seem to go so wrong? Hiding this side of him was supposed to keep himself and others safe. Being distant was a necessity, yet the pattern was becoming clear to him. He’d lash out, and others would get hurt. The worst part of it all was one simple fact that pushed its way to the forefront of his mind as he sat alone in the all too quiet apartment. It was because of him.
Him. Not the predator. The predator came through and caused its own problems, of course, but what happened today? What kept happening for years? It was always simply because of him. Not the hunger, nor the fugues. Rowan clenched his fingers hard into his palms as nails sank into his flesh, nearly drawing blood. The revelation pounding in his mind and repeating itself over and over. A chorus of voices, vitriolic and unrelenting.
Rowan was not only a ravenous freak, he was simply a terrible person, as well. And he did not know what to do.
He felt stuck. He felt dirty. A virus that planted itself in one location to wreak havoc upon its environment until it fell apart around him and then moved on to the next. Starvation was not an option, as it would bring out the monster. Isolation was what got him into this situation in the first place. So what could he possibly do? He wishes he could just cease to exist. Erase himself from history entirely. Wipe the slate clean of his presence and avoid so much unnecessary hurt brought upon so many people. His family, his friends, his…
The predator scowls as he feels hot tears trail down his face. He had no right to cry. Oliver was right, this was all because of him. Rowan was dragging down Luke with him. It wasn’t right. He shouldn’t be here wallowing in his own miserable thoughts. He hurt another person, and the thought of running away and ignoring it again was unbearable. The shifter would be back. After Oliver fixed the mess he created, Luke would inevitably come back. Whether it was to gather his things and leave or continue living with his asshole of a roommate, Rowan wasn’t sure, but he would see the brunette again eventually. He needed to be prepared for it. He has no idea what he’s going to do, but he needs to do something.
Fuck, Rowan, get yourself together and fucking figure it out!
The predator slaps his face and clears his throat a couple times. He had to do something. The lump in his throat wasn’t getting any smaller by sitting like this.
Thinking of a way to say sorry and truly mean it would be a good place to start.
Thinking of a way to avoid closing himself off and making the same mistake twice would be a perfect place to start.

Here's what's going on in Ohio right now. Heavy stuff ahead.
First, I want to apologize for the misinformation in my original post. I am still learning about legislative processes. To correct: the changes to ODH and OMHAS in regards to gender therapy are not a bill, they are changes in regulations.
This is important because citizens CAN affect rule changes. There is an open commentary period where your submissions get counted and can affect how they write new regulations.
Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, legal advocate, or medical professional. I'm just a dude who had to have it all explained to me.
The first one is Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services. The rules proposed would make the already prohibitive process of gender transition even harder. In order to diagnose and treat gender dysphoria, a hospital needs to have a board certified psychologist per patient, a board certified endocrinologist familiar with the age group being diagnosed per patient, and a medical ethicist overseeing the hospital's plan for transition. 'Board certified' does not guarantee that the specialist is trans-friendly. It must include a detransition plan. Hospitals would have to report compliance annually. The professionals must have a contractual relationship with the patient, but do not need to offer in-person care. (In this instance, I'll get to that in the next rule change.)
This rule also deems it impermissible to prescribe gender transition care (this includes hormones, puberty blockers, or drugs) for anyone under the age of 21 without the approval of the professionals mentioned and 6 months of therapy.
There is an exception for intersex people, who may have their sex assigned to them without their consent.
The open comment period for this ends January 19 at 5pm.
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject title: "Comments on Gender Transition Care Rules."
The second one is Ohio Department of Health and it repeats a lot of the same as the first one. However, the focus is more on the regulation of doctors and paperwork. Anyone seeking transition will be put into a registry with their name redacted, but demographics like age, agab, specific diagnosis (difficult to achieve with the new regulations mentioned above), and any medications (not just related to gender transition, but any medications at all). Any cessation of care must be reported within 30 days.
This is a lot of paperwork and can overburden hospitals.
That 30 days cessation is important because if a person transfers doctors or if a clinic closes and the paperwork isn't filed, it may count as a 'detransition' when tallying demographics, even if that is not the case.
But what's curious is that the ODH regulations DO require in-person care. The rules are contradictory and vague.
The comment period for this ends Feb 5th.
Send a comment through the ODH website
Here are some important things that were mentioned at the meeting:
This is a good time to be personal with your statements. If this would disrupt your life in any way, please say so. "I fear that" "I believe this" "I worry that"- these are great ways to start your comment. An example one person gave is "I worry that this change in regulations would force me and my daughter to move out of state.'
With that being said, anything that you send to these sites will be public record, so be cautious about what you reveal about yourself in your comment.
If you are in need of help, please reach out to one of these resources:
Trans Ohio Emergency Fund Resource Page
Kaleidoscope Youth Center
If you are in need of legal advice on how to navigate all this, please call
888-LGBT-LAW
This is not everything. There is unfortunately more because Ohio decided to break a record this month with anti-trans motions. But today I'm focusing on things that we can take action on.
