Now that he is finally in canon mcc, I made some teams for Firebreathman using Punz' avg.

Red Rabbits

Here fbm is teamed with Scott, who he has played couple of events with. Like the twitch rivals event and tubnet battle royale. They should work well. Then there's Impulse, someone fbm has already teamed with and won a coin. Their reunion would be pretty hype. And they have Shubble as fourth who brings in their love for hitw and experience to the table. Shubble is friends with Scott so the team could vibe well.

Orange Ocelots

This team has fbm teamed with Seapeekay. They are such a good duo because they are quite familiar with each other and have teamed multiple times in blockwars. They also won an edition of the creator's blockwars teamed together. Completing this op duo we have Aimsey and Snifferish. Both these people have skill sets that compliment the team. Aimsey has shown pop off performances in games like battle box and have shown improvement over the events. Snifferish is very good with ranged combat and I think they vibe well with the overall team composition.

Yellow Yaks

Another duo that will work well as they have already played in blockwars before, 5up and fbm. I would love to see them in mcc! We have Elaina too, who I want to be teamed with 5up. They played Pico park in a group once and I want similar chaos from them in mcc. Captain Puffy completes the team as the 4th member and as someone who has the most experience of being in canon mccs. I think this team would either sweat a lot or be totally chaotic. Depends on what they choose to be.

Purple Pandas

Fbm has played with Beky in two events, twitch rivals and the latest blockwars. I absolutely loved the team's vibes and I think the two on the same team will be very fun. Tubbo is friends with Beky and would be a great addition alongwith Eret who Tubbo is friends with.

Pink Parrots

Till now I have generally made teams keeping in mind who knows who. But this team is completely random and just a wishful ask from my side. I would love Phil and fbm to team because I think they would be a great duo. Jack manifold makes every team 100 times funnier. I love him. And Gumi is so choatic if she wants to be. I think this team is going to be so funny but also strong enough to have a chance to win in a similarly balanced event.

getting some mcc thoughts/predictions right out of the way (bit of a ramble):

First off, I saw cpk’s vid and just. I have so many Opinions. Like, right off the bat, no shot red gets 10th. I’m just outright saying it- and maybe I’m biased because I’m a jojo believer and therefore a red believer but there’s just no way.  

For starters, Shadoune’s placement last MCC was NOT reflective of his skill- and I’m not even talking about his pvp. That was probably the most competitive MCC yet, literally half the teams had an s-tier duo, jojo and pete were allowed somehow and they DIDN’T EVEN WIN, like that’s how competitive it was. He was put in his first MCC, with (a bit of a) language barrier, no s-tier on the team, and LITERALLY everyone- *cough* the reddit- unanimously put them 10th. And then they didn’t! So, defying predictions from the first MCC. Crazy. Also, Jojo’s good. Like she’s so well rounded- pvp, movement, leadership, and her comms are amazing. She’s the one that runs through what each game is, the strategies, what to do, what not to do, before every game. For new players especially, she’s such a good leader. She’s not gonna let anyone fall behind or not know what’s going on.

As far as the new players go- and the unknown substitution- I don’t know too much. But I’ve heard good things about pvp, and, y’all. this team is gonna practice for sure. ALSO Shad got 13th in PKW last MCC?? In his first one, with such a stacked roster?? He’s clearly so insane, like between him and jojo and the other guys they are going to do SO WELL! (maybe not 1st place well. but one can hope.) all I’m saying is 10th place is absurd. put some respect on jojo’s name, at least.

The wider and vocal part of the Halo fandom on the internet will NEVER be satisfied or pleased no matter what 343 Industries or any of the other developers do.

They will never, ever be grateful for any concessions you make, no matter how necessary or trivial they may be.

And they will nitpick any and all new stuff into oblivion under the guise of critique CONSTANTLY!

Often only because they were told to do so by YouTube rage-bait videos and clickbait bullshit. Or some mediocrities with a shitty podcast!

(To say NOTHING of how Marty O’Donnell has become an insane armchair developer with an ego the size of a fucking PLANET!)

They just want 343 Industries to make a Halo 3 reskin, how DARE they try ANYTHING new! If they try ANYTHING else it’s immediately derided as a soulless cashgrab. Automatically.

I saw it with Halo 4, I saw it again with the Master Chief Collection, I saw it AGAIN with Halo 5, not so much with Halo Wars 2 thankfully but still, and I saw it AGAIN with Halo Infinite! (In spite of their very real issues, these complaints were constant)

To say nothing of their extremely short memories and nostalgia induced revisionism (a term I use loosely)

Every single time.

can we take a moment to talk about how fucking incredible it is that jojo has now won sands of time four times in a row? in the past people have won sot 3 consecutive times, but jojo managing to do it 4 times, including 3 events in a row, in an era where mcc is extremely competitive and sands of time is one of the most vod reviewed games, is honestly pretty nuts. jojo's ability to work with her teammates, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and make sure they're all on the same page going into the event (and especially this game) is just so great because she genuinely cares about bringing out the best in her teammates and it's why her teams continue to do so well in sot. not to mention she herself is just an incredibly thorough runner - it's due to her fully exploring the red path and finding the green key that green30 was able to become the first team to successfully collect all 4 vaults. her playstyle is always calm, collected and cooperative, never frenetic and risky, which helps her teammates have a great experience in sot too (michael literally said this is the best sands of time he's ever played). her team collecting all 4 vaults on her 4th sot win in a row - like that's just insane to me and if that doesn't make her the best sot player, i don't know what else she can do

One of the people on chilled's team is one of the top mc event players (places an average of 1st in a very similar event) and a lot of people are ranking the team higher bc of him (he is also new to this event though so people are not placing the team as high as they would otherwise)

Right and I get that. And granted idk how good Oli and Kara typically do, or how much one players point count can affect the entire team's placement.

But I mean. This is Chilledchaos we're talking about. Team TIES consists of people who play minecraft for a living.

I don't know if you've heard, but Chilled said yes to participating in this event despite not even knowing what type of competition it is. He has absolutely no clue what happens in MCC. I watched this man ask chat what the second C stood for. I watched him look at his calendar live on stream and put his hands on his head in distress as he goes "It's in eight days?!"

So yeah y'know I wonder if it can really make enough of a difference that they breach last place. Red can do okay point wise but it means nothing if the other teams do even slightly better cuz all 4 of them know how to play the game.

Like I said, we are in for a fun time not a winning time lmao

I never got to talk about the last 5 mcc teams because I was too busy watching the craftmaster event that day.

But I have made some predictions about the team placements by two methods. I need to check my hypothesis on something, so the first method is based on that. The second one is how I will predict generally.

At the end of mcc I will see which method was actually closer and just needed a place to tell people, see I told you so.

Late night MCC rambles:

To preface this I want to say I’m not very familiar with Dave Krtzyy, but he’s been in MCC long enough that I vaguely know of his vibe and skillset through osmosis.

Okay, so I’ve heard Aqua29 be compared to Blue9 in the mythological sense (in particular with the whole “proving self as S tier” / getting a long awaited win / H + PvPer) and Yellow20 in the practical sense. And I kind of agree with Yellow20. This does seem like a team that can get to Dodgebolt (and lose it) with a Yellow20ish trajectory. (If they actually lose Dodgebolt I’m gonna be real miserable about FalseCub losing DB again but anyways—)

Aqua29 is seen as a weaker Yellow20 because… I mean yeah it’s Illumina and SB. But one of the unique features of Yellow20 is that it’s a quiet competitive team. Illumina to a lesser degree, but I think the other three have been called one of the quietest / chillest POVs in MCC lol. Which can lead to communication issues such as MCC20 Sky Battle, in which False takes charge and they perform well in the last round. While False does occasionally take charge in Rivals, from my experience of watching her she doesn’t do that as much in MCC? However I think she did it a bit more in Yellow28, again 3/4 of Aqua. I think Yellow28 is a nice team for False because I think it’s a team she feels comfortable taking charge in, because Cub historically always backs her up and ofc HBomb’s around. (Stopping before this becomes another Blue9 H + False post)

Which leads to the question of leadership in Aqua29. Obviously, HBomb. We all know and love him. I’ve seen a Reddit post talking about Krtzyy leading in PvP games and I don’t know him well enough to discuss that, and the post mentioned not knowing about his synergy with the hermits so it could affect the team’s performance at first. Fair enough, but then again, H’s there, H factor and all that, he acts as a bridge, and the hermits are pretty good communicators (even if Cub is a little quieter). H’s presence is what differentiates Yellow20 from Aqua29. Coin wise, Yellow20 is probably stronger, but team wise, H factor could do wonders for Aqua29. So long they all listen to each other, I think they’ll be fine.

And also, don’t forget that the two hermits can be sweaty. Especially the specific combination of False + Cub. They’ve been in so many esport tourneys lmao (although usually not together T-T). And they know they have a good team this time, specifically with the blessed combo of H + PvPer. H is a great team player and strategiser, and knows how to “reign” in others (PvPers). A PvPer can make up in terms of raw skill, and H’s coordination can allow said PvPer to flourish. It’s why H and Fruit were so scary together (their skillsets and styles compliment each other particularly well, but I’m not gonna let this spiral into yet another Blue9 post).

So yeah, I think this team will be Interesting. It’s even more Interesting that it’s not just H + hermits, or Krtzyy + hermits, or H + Krtzyy, but all of the above together. It’s probably gonna be competitive. It’s probably gonna be fun. It’s giving Yellow20 but H factor. It’s giving Blue9. I’ve also heard someone say Orange10 but I can’t really see that lmao since to me Dave resonates more with Fruit’s arc, but I’m open to interpretations yay

Honestly, if they practice and get their comms / synergy sorted, I think they can slay. Like, genuinely. For the narrative. For Krtzyy’s win after five million years. For Aquabomb. For False and Cub’s DB redemption.

TLDR: I believe in Aqua29. They can do it.
