Fruits Basket The Final (フルーツバスケット) - Review

While watching: *crying* *crying really hard* *laughing but still can't stop crying*

Perfection has a name and its Fruit Basket. The most beautiful, heartbreaking, heart-touching, dramatic, painful, soft thing I've ever seen. Fruit Basket made me feel so many emotions that I cried and cried within the final episodes.

Fruit Basket is probably one of the best animes when it comes to uniqueness in the story and character development, it succeeded in something many stories can't do, working with so many different characters and personalities and still managed to get every one of them in your heart.

The animation was always beautiful and from season 1 to the final season soundtrack was so good for every moment, especially that one song that just made you want to cry your heart out in the most important and vulnerable moments for the characters.

My heart is so happy with the way everything concluded, each one got what they deserve and finally, happiness surrounds the Soma household.

Moezy’s Top 10 Animanga Girls!

ISo did my top 10 couples and boys now it’s time for my favorite girls to shine! This was a lot harder than I thought it’d be cause there aren’t that many girls that I love in anime...so starting from 10 all the way down to 1!

10. Kemono no Souja Erin starting off at 10 is Erin from Kemono no Souja Erin! I rarely like any girls let alone mains but Erin is special enough that she makes the list! Even if she is at the bottom...the reason I love her so much is that she’s real. Her reactions to life and even to trauma are so realistic that it’s hard not to love her. Minor spoiler, when she was only 10 Erin lost her mother and was adopted in by a very kind man from a neighboring country. Through the series she grows up and learns how the world really works. Her idealism is one of the reasons that I love her as well. She is somewhat naive but learns to outgrow that as she grows up. If you haven’t seen this anime please watch it! It’s really good and doesn’t have enough of a fanbase...

9. Magi: The Labyrinth  of Magic & the Kingdom of Magic I love Morgiana truly because of her growth in the series. She starts off as very emotionless and withdrawn but despite that she will sacrifice her life to make others happy. As she learns to trust her new family she starts to show emotions and becomes one of the most loyal people in the group. I love her!

8. Fruits Basket coming in at number 8 is Souma Kisa! I WANT TO ADOPT THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE TIGER! I LOVE HER! When I first saw Kisa in the anime I immediately fell in love. She has such a sad backstory but with the help of Tohru she learns to trust people again and becomes one of the cutest characters ever! She is honestly the most adorable angst character I ever came upon XD I can’t get enough of this cute little girl!

7. Toaru Majutsu no Index/Toaru Kagaku no Railgun coming in at number 7 is Misaka Mikoto! Emo, badass tsundere character ftw! What made me love Mikoto so much is when the Sisters arc came. I liked her at first but Sisters is what made me LOVE her. Mikoto was willing to sacrifice sleep and happiness to save her sisters and would stop at nothing to prove to the people who were doing the experiments that no matter how a person is born, they still have feelings and deserve to be respected. That was enough for me to love her!

6. Digimon Tamers coming in at number 6 is Makino Ruki! Yet another tsundere, emo badass female! Ruki is a horrible jerk in the beginning of Tamers but as she joins her Digimon family and eventually finds a love interest XD she changes for the better! Ruki only cared about powering up Renamon and keeping her title as the Digimon Queen but as she learns to soften, she puts her own feelings aside and starts caring about others. She is one of my absolute favorite characters and her growth is amazing!

5. Digimon Adventure/02/Tri and at number 5 is Yagami Hikari! I love this precious little girl. Just like Kisa I want to adopt her XD Hikari is such an enigma and that is honestly the driving force as to why I love her so much. She is an unanswered question in the Digimon world...cause in the Adventure realm she is the only Chosen Child that seems to have powers...which is so shocking cause Hikari doesn’t even show up in the series til episode 21 but her powers don’t emerge until episode 48...go figure XD but the reason I love her is cause she is very self sacrificing and caring. She’ll forgo her own happiness to make everyone in the group happy but it’s cause of the guy I ship her with that shows her how to put her needs first as well. She is a very mysterious character and I can’t help but be drawn to her!

4. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S coming in at number 4 is Tomoe Hotaru/Sailor Saturn! Hotaru is such an amazing character. I loved her from the moment the 3rd season showed her. She was a very introverted character that learned how to trust her Sailor family and was able to battle her demons that her father pushed onto her. She is also a very adorable little girl in Sailor Stars! I Have a thing for my female characters being adorable and emo all at once XD

3. Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)/Brotherhood and up next at 3 is Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye! SHE IS BADASS! I watched 2003 first and honestly...I couldn’t bring myself to finding a favorite character so by default I made Riza my favorite cause she was the closet to what I liked in a favorite character. Once episode 19 of Brotherhood appeared and Lust told Riza she killed Roy, and Riza went off on her I knew she was immediately my favorite XD Riza is warm, caring, badass, and is also the one in charge of the group XD though Roy will never admit it! But he won’t stop her from being in charge anyways XD She is just so awesome and I love her!

2. Digimon Adventure/02/Tri so coming in at number 2 is Tailmon! The only character on this list that isn’t a human! And I love her more than I love Hikari. Though it’s cause of Tailmon that Hikari makes the list. Tailmon completes Hikari and Hikari completes Tailmon. They are honestly my favorite Digimon/Partner pairing in the series. Tailmon was abandoned when she was just a Digiegg. Before she even hatched. She had to grow up all by herself, waiting for the one she would protect to come along but that person never came. When Tailmon went on a journey to find her she only found more pain...and abuse. It’s through Tailmon’s strong bond with her friend Wizarmon, and her bond with Hikari that she truly changed for the better. At one point Tailmon was the number one female on my list but she got beat a few years ago XD so on to number 1!

1. Sword Art Online II: Gun Gale Online and save the best for last! Asada Shino/Sinon. I had to show both her forms XD cause I love her for both! The main reason I love Shino the most is out of all the females in anime I relate with her the most. Our personalities are very similar in that she will put her family’s needs above her own but then withdrawal inward when she gets too stressed out. It was through Kirito that she learned to be brave again and overcome her demons. I really love her!

Eventually...I will post a top 10 favorite characters of all time. That’s gonna be hard, deciding which boys and girls I like. Don’t expect it any time soon XD

💐Hanakotoba in EDEN ~Fruits Basket 2nd Season ED 2 💐

~Part 1~

⚠️NOTE: THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE LAST SEASON OF THE ANIME!⚠️

Kyo Sohma

竹 | Take | Bamboo

Bamboo is said to represent loyalty, strength and steadfastness. This correlates well with Kyo's stubborn nature and determination to achieve his goal of defeating Yuki. Kyo's determination to ensure Tohru's happiness (even if it does not include him) as well as his promise with Kyoka Honda at the end of the series to protect Tohru showcases his loyalty.

In the panel the bamboo surrounds Kyo as if imprisoning him—a reference to his supposed inevitable fate as the Cat of the current generation. He reaches towards a single beam of light. (Which is reference to Tohru in the last panel of this ending).

Hatsuharu Sohma

松 | Matsu | Pine

Pine is said to represent longevity and steadfastness because the tree retains its green foliage all year long. Hatsuharu is a character who often provides counsel and support to those around him because of his inherent wisdom and maturity. Pine also represents new beginnings and hope. In the panel Haru is seen holding pink petals, some of which fall from his grasp—a possible reference to Rin since in her individual panel pink peonies are featured. The petals falling from his fingers represent her slipping out of his grasp.

Kisa Sohma

梅の花 |Ume no hana| Plum Blossom

Plum blossoms are seen as a harbinger of spring and symbolize perseverance, hope and patience as well as beauty and purity. This fits well with Kisa's character arc as despite her having gone mute as a result of bullying for a period of time—she has now opened up once again and positive changes are happening in her life now. This is reminiscent of spring after a long, harsh winter.

Kureno Sohma

桜 | Sakura | Cherry Blossom

While Cherry blossom have an abundance of symbolic meanings; its most notable meanings are kindness, gracefullness and gentleness as well as the transience of life. Kureno is described as incredibly kind and gentle by Arisa and is described as graceful by Tohru. The fleetingness of and exquisite beauty of its blossoms has often been associated with mortality and an acceptance of destiny and karma. This aspect ties into Kureno's willingness to abandon his own happiness in order to stay by Akito's side.

Hatori Sohma

藤 | Fuji | Wisteria

Wisteria traditionally represents kindness, honor, wisdom and support which corresponds with Hatori's nature. Wisteria can also represent sensitivity, endurance and tenderness. The plant's tendency to grip tightly to trees in order to grow up straight has led to it coming to mean an unwillingness to let go. The two aforementioned facts relate to Hatori's previous relationship with Kana. Even after her memories of them as a couple were wiped, he keeps a photograph of her in his office and holds onto his memories of her—a symbol of spring to him. He is willing to endure a lonely life akin to a harsh winter so long as Kana can be happy even if her happiness is not with him.

Ayame Sohma

菖蒲 | Ayame | Iris

Irises represent friendship, glad tidings and valour all of which suit Ayame's audaciously bold and friendly nature. Irises can also represent loyalty, relating to his determination to better his relationship Yuki as well as his loyalty to his best friends, Hatori and Shigure.

Isuzu "Rin" Sohma

牡丹 | Botan | Peony

Peonies represent compassion and bravery. Both attributes describe Isuzu's character well as seen when she risks her life while attempting to break the curse for Haru's sake. When Akito discovers Isuzu and Haru's relationship she also accepts all the blame and punishment in order to protect him. She feels compassion for those she considers as being kind—Hatsuharu and Tohru—and goes willingly places herself in danger so as not to involve said people in dangerous affairs.

Hiro Sohma

萩 | Hagi | Japanese Bush Clover

The Japanese Bush Clover is associated with melancholy and unrequited love. This could possibly refer to how Hiro blames himself for Kisa's injury and how he laments not noticing that Kisa was being bullied and not being able to help her when she was mute.

Kyoko Honda

彼岸花 |Higanbana| Red Spider-Lily

Red spider lilies are associated with loss, abandonment and reincarnation. Which it fitting given that Tohru battles with the loss of her mother and upon her death, Kyoko was afraid since she didn't want to abandon Tohru. Red spider lilies are said to guide the deceased into the next reincarnation. Butterflies are associated with transformation and souls which tie into the reincarnation theme. The bright crimson colour of red spider lilies have helped the flower become known for representing passion and independence—this corresponds with Kyoto's personality while she was alive. The crimson butterflies spotted around her are also a nod to her previous alias—'the Crimson Butterfly'—when she ws younger.

Review - Fruits Basket Season 2 (フリーツバスケット)

How to even start with his one? My heart is happy and broken in so many ways. If you haven’t seen Fruit Basket Season 1, the previous anime or read the manga this will be a big spoiler. More than a review this is me talking everything out

First of all his season was amazing and beautiful, seriously if fruits basket has something marvelous is the character development is impossible no to feel empathy with them (except for Akito, god I hate her). What I love the most is Yuki’s change, it was so gradually and perfect, I mean he still has a lot to over come but now he looks more focused and happy. I was kind of afraid that he ended in love with Touru, but something always told me his feelings for her where different, and the way he knows how Kyo and Touru feels towards each other was so nice. Now, I’m really glad we got to see more of his relationship with Machi, she’s definitely the one for him, I hope to see her shining bright alongside him next season. Btw I really love Yuki and Kakeru’s friendship, thanks to the universe for that.

Next thing, Kureno.. God when I think this series can’t break my heart more. From the beginning everything related to him was frustrating. His love fro Uo-chan is so beautiful and sad, I still can’t believe his so trapped with Akito, I mean I was even shock they had that kind of relationship.. that just made me wonder more about what Shigure really wants, I still don’t think he is in love with Akito. But seriously, Kureno is the only one without the course, the bound broke so naturally for him, that just make everything more frustrating. We don’t even know how that happened and even though he is free of it, he is the one that being the more used and manipulated. God that’s really sad.

Rin, she was a really interest character during this season, Im still a bit confused to why Akito hates her so much to the point she almost kill her. Rin is just a mess like all the other zodiac members. Her relationship with Hatsuharu is so good, I mean they are a mess but I love them, and I know everything would get better for them soon. For now I really want to see more of Rin with Touru, that friendship it’s going to be everythin

Now related to other couples. This season didn’t focused much on Kyo but the small moments of he realizing his love for Touru, and viceversa, was the most amazing thing for me, I really love these two. I’m still laughing about Hana being in love with Shishou. And for next season I hope we get to see a bit more of Mayuko sensei and Hatori’s relationship I absolutely adore it when they mention it this season.

And I really need to see my precious Momiji with his little sister being all happy and loved by his whole family, and now that Kyo and Kagura’s feelings where talked I hope we get to see her with true happiness next season. Hope we get a bit more of Ritsu next season. And, Kisa and Hiro are the cutest I want to see them all grown up and together.

Ayame was such a great brother this season, his character brought me so much smiles, he was so fun and attentive, I really liked that he was so involved with Yuki’s school activities. Now, again, Shigure, I still don’t understand him, that dude, sometimes I love him and sometimes no. Hopefully next season is long and I will get all my answers.

I can’t believe next season is the Final, I don’t know if everything will be solved in just one more season, man, I’m going to cry like a baby just like I did with this season last ep, seriously Kureno’s situation is really frustrating. My final score 10/10⭐️✨
