ctommy went to see cwilbur btw. wilbur still lives in their shitty little shack by las nevadas but it's close enough that they can see the city lights n tommy doesn't feel like he's stuck in the middle of nowhere. and wilbur is suprised to see him but he lets him in anyway & pulls him into a hug (gently enough that tommy can pull away if he needs to) n they sit on the floor in a melted pile of brother soup nd tommy buries n his face in wilbur's shoulder hard enough that he can hear his heartbeat and wilbur's got a messy blanket nest mattress on the floor that he uses as his bed bc he's fucking pathetic (affectionate) and tommy doesn't feel safe, necessarily. but wilbur's the only person who can hold him without making him feel sick. and he knows that wilbur will hurt anyone who hurts him. and that security is enough to let him push aside the lurking paranoia, just for a bit. and he sits on the bed while wilbur makes tea for them and tells him about how the building's going n ignores his tea in favor of curling up with his head on wilbur's legs and talking about sam nook. and wilbur brushes his fingers through tommy's hair (he asks first) n they fall asleep together in a tangled pile of blankets and legs and arms (tommy's curled up with his knees to his chest and wilbur's wrapped around him with his nose in his hair and it's messy and cozy and safe.)
