I know you're both ninjago and Epic the musical fan, so hear me out: God Games but instead of Athena, it's Lloyd trying to convince the Source Dragons to forgive Arin
YESSSSSS
There are slight allusions to something that happens in season 3 part 2 in this, as well as the name of one of the source dragons that is revealed there, so spoiler cut
Energy could be like Apollo, an easier entrance to the whole thing since Lloyd is his conduit
Then Motion as Hephaestus, still relatively easy
Life as Aphrodite and Strength as Ares
Flow as Hera, because we haven't seen her involve herself in the show yet in any way and there needs to be one for Hera
And finally for spoilery reasons: Focus as Zeus

I am demanding more lore for the Source Ninja AU. Please.
now
Happy to talk about it!! I’m still working out the details, but here is some more info about this AU!
BASIC PREMISE: When the source dragons face unavoidable extinction, the main six ninja are made their predecessors.
(Note: I haven’t seen s3pt2, so if there are spoilers that contradict this AU, please refrain from telling me)
It is set in a hypothetical future where Ras’s grand plans included capturing and draining every source dragon to reverse the merge and release his master, which he successfully did… much to the detriment of everyone else.
The source dragons mortal forms were inflicted with wasting disease, and the intense drain on their power weakened them.
Knowing the source dragons were not long for this world, and that the un-merging realms would collapse in on themselves in their wake, Lloyd offered to become more than a conduit to one of their powers, so that it might live on in him. Although warned it would fundamentally alter his body and mind, he insisted.
The other ninja stepped up to offer themselves to the cause, as well. Each one of them was gifted the powers of a source dragon.
Lloyd: Life || Nya: Flow || Kai: Motion || Focus: Zane || Strength: Cole || Energy: Jay
All of their bodies were physically altered into dragons/conceptual beings, except for Zane; his soul was drawn from his android body, which was left behind under Pixal’s care.
The ‘source ninja’ defeated Ras and restored the merged realms.
❗️All of the ninja except Lloyd had their memories altered/lost in the transformation, making them believe they’d always been source dragons. Lloyd kept his memories due to being part dragon/oni and already having been a conduit.
Lloyd visits the merged realms frequently and attempts to convince his companions to do the same, explaining what their previous lives were like and attempting to jog their memories. Though not always receptive to this, some of the other ninja do start to come around to the idea when glimpses of their old lives break through.
Once they are no longer mortal, their powers must go to a new host. Lloyd choses to gift his powers to Arin, Zane gifts his to Pixal, Cole gifts his to Fritz, Nya gifts hers to Spitz, Kai gifts his to Jake, and Jay– not trusting his current fuzzy memories as is– allows his to be selected at random.
I’m currently working on a fic where Zane regains his memories with Pixal’s help, and I hope to write/draw more for it in general! Feel free to send me any questions and I’ll do my best to answer heheh

This might be due to the fact that on my first playthrough I ended up creating a Rook more emotionally guarded than any of the companions except Minrathous-route Lucanis and perhaps Neve, so I was primed to look for it, but I never got the sense that the companions don’t care for Rook (the thought never even occurred to me until I saw other people post about it) — to me it seems much more like it’s Rook who keeps the last bit of distance, Rook who pulls away when the companions try to extend their care or worry too directly, who keeps themselves slightly apart. (Rook who is so full of grief they cannot know as grief and thus process that there’s no room inside them to let anything else all the way in, perhaps.) They deflect and flinch back when someone gets too close or approaches them too overtly about their feelings — especially when it brushes up against the theme of grief. They can offer care to all the companions who are grieving, come along to any number of funerals as emotional support, but the moment someone turns that towards them they shut that shit down Immediately, like when Taash almost gives the whole game away with ‘Like you’d know? You act like you haven’t lost anyone!’ and Rook just blandly responds ‘We’re talking about you’ and doesn’t engage. But they can also admit that they struggle with accepting compliments, or knowing what to say, or having confidence in themselves without Varric’s help.
Despite all their determination and even in their most stoic no-nonsense incarnation, Rook is awkward, with the struggles that entails. Someone who is eager and happy to be the helper wherever they can, and helplessly unequipped to know how to be the helpee, as it were. It’s not that the companions don’t return Rook’s attachment to them, there’s MUCH more of a ‘okay so what are the ways you will allow me to be good to you??’ desperation of care vibe behind all their invitations to conversations and hangouts together, to my mind. They bring Rook to their favourite places and share the things they love with them, they ask to spend time together (many times just to have their company, not because they have a problem they need help with! Sometimes the problem arises anyway b/c video game quest narrative of course), they bring them out for some direly needed grass touching, they introduce them to their families. Everyone is clearly getting the sense that Rook does Not want to talk about Varric especially (this is in fact what Harding says in banter, if she’s still alive after the reveal :’( ), but they are absolutely SCRAMBLING to find ways to show that they’re there for them even so. AND from the companions’ perspective, with the situation as they have the means to understand it, accepting that Rook isn’t ready to have that conversation and backing off is also a kind thing to do. (tl;dr: To Me Rook is that weirdly socialized friend who is a great hang once they’re actually there but you have to directly invite them or they don’t quite know how to initiate the contact themselves lol)
Just as a crushing sense of responsibility for their family is a trait that is built into Hawke no matter how you play them or how you make them respond to that, I feel like Rook — however helpful and earnest, warm, charming, jocular, stoic or straightforward they seem at a surface glance — is always someone who struggles deeply with connecting to themselves and other people. (Emotional Intimacy, the Final Frontier.) As, indeed, is the case with all of the Veilguard companions too! It’s clearly a deliberate theme. These are all lonely people struggling with their sense of identity and belonging in some sort of way. AND having, working on and eventually starting to overcome these difficulties also makes Rook a direct foil for Solas, who doesn’t learn that lesson unless you corner him at the end of the world to force feed him his medicine lmao. They don’t manage to break out of the regret prison under their own steam, it’s because even struggling and grieving they have managed to create mutual bonds with other people who show up for them in turn now — and with all the protective walls of denial around what happened to Varric crumbling and making them less of a stranger to themselves, Rook is finally able to let them. An outcome Solas seemingly didn’t even consider to guard against, because he’s become that deeply entrenched in his loneliness, the utter isolation of the self — he can no longer truly imagine an alternative. (It’s not that he can’t form these bonds, obviously, it’s that he resolutely refuses to value them. Whether it’s because he feels like he doesn’t deserve it or out of a need for control or the martyr complex where he must sacrifice everything he loves on the sacrificial pyre of fixing his mistakes, all of the above and more, the result is the same. Mind!Varric, who I think is mostly Solas speaking, even calls this out directly. So yet again a situation where he has some self awareness about it and it doesn’t help At All haha. Solas falls to the temptation of making people into tools again and again and again, no matter how many times it comes back to bite him in the ass and the eternal solitude it traps him in.)
And that deep deep loneliness… There but for the grace of… well the theological state of thedas being what it is right now, let’s just go with the grace of Something, Presumably go you as well, Rook. The same capacity/tendency to pull away from connection clearly lives in them as well in some form (again, for whatever reason and with whatever motivations and instincts behind it for any individual Rook). Solas and Rook coming together to create a blood magic paper doll of the mind Varric in response to acute loss and loneliness is one of the most deep , deeply fucked up and invasive acts of intimacy I’ve ever contemplated. I don’t think that’s accidental, there’s something There’s Something Wrong With You (there’s something wrong with you that’s also wrong with me (derogatory)) here that resonates no matter how both parties would hate to hear it. (A fitting legacy for Varric and his wild ‘I made my best friend into a story because it’s the only way I know how to love with this desperation of sincerity’ brain to leave in the narrative, methinks. I feel he’d appreciate it on a craft level, if nothing else.)
If you read through all of Rook’s potential backstories, one of the common threads through all of them, along with a certain maverick ‘I’ll do whatever it takes’ streak, is a sense of profound alienation. They did something or have some sort of quality that made it hard for them to fit in with the group they’re from, causing a conflict that cuts them off from parts of their identity as it’s been up until now. All of which also adds to how important Varric is to them — he was clearly able to break/see through some of that and be closer with them, even in the relatively short time they spent together. No matter what else goes to shit, they can trust that a) Varric sees them, b) he genuinely likes them and believes in them not despite who they are, but for it, and c) he’s got their back, we’re in this together kid. And then he is gone, and it takes them the whole game to be able to bring themselves to accept that and know themselves again, be able to let new relationships in fully. The very understandable ‘the last time I let someone in, they got stabbed before my eyes and the world ended’ flinch away, even if they’re not consciously aware that’s what it is. Anyway I love Rook. So much space to play around in here as to WHY they might feel or react like this, even when the framework is more defined.

I'm personally really not a fan of the fact that Lloyd had absolutely no Source Dragon visions at all during Season 3
Especially since Thunderfang is a legitimate threat to the Source Dragons

My favorite bit of the Dawn Will Come scene is when Solas is laser-focusing (heh) on the orb, meanwhile the Anchor has already decided what its focus is, and it is so transparently NOT the orb.
Solas is all “elven focus” this, “stolen power” that, meanwhile the Anchor is totally ignoring the shiny titan ball and sprinkling focus bars on the Inquisitor and all their companions. Something something the power of a god comes from their people.

Idk why but I feel like focus will be relevant to part two more and somehow that will lead to Lloyd suffering. I can't imagine how just yet but you see the vision right?
Like maybe Lloyd has to be a conduit to focus' energy because bro clearly doesn't seem interested in the whole conduit job title
I can't explain it I just feel like Lloyd's gonna do something that fucks him over

Answering here to this lovely ask by the lovelier @greypetrel because it's the OCs playground - based on this prompt list. ✨
This turned in an astrology-heavy thingy, so I feel like I should premise that astrology (like tarot cards) is a tool and like any tool all depends on how you decide to wield it. I don't believe that horoscopes should dictate your life; to me astrology can be a way to reflect on yourself - or just to have fun with completely fictional characters lol.
So:
💧Maren Hawke: Scorpio / water (mid November, during a storm)
"[...] intense personalities and feelings that they hide underneath their cool exterior."
Usually celebrated in some simple but sweet way - which is fine to her, because before Lothering they are always on the run and she doesn't want to be a burden. However she would be secretly very pleased if someone would take care to do something more extravagant once the family (or what's left of it) is more settled.
🍁 Gwydion/Gideon Hawke: Libra / air (late September - Autumn equinox, a sunny but chilly day) + an Earth rising sign.
"Their ruling planet is Venus, meaning that Libras are nurturing, caring, and can make great defenders of the downtrodden."
Loves a good celebration, but in a hobbit sort of way - he'll just use it as an excuse to buy stuff for all of his friends/loved ones because excuse me! It's his birthday! Can't they indulge him a little? ;)
(Yes, Justice included)
🌱 Malva Surana: Aquarius / air (unknown)
"They go about accomplishing their goals in quiet and unorthodox ways. Oftentimes, just because they chose the path less traveled, the results of their eccentric methods are surprisingly effective."
In Kinloch Hold since she was about five years old, so she never celebrated before becoming a warden - when the companions all got together around the campfire and invented a birthday for her. Since she has no benchmark she makes up a bunch of so-called "traditions" based on what people tell her, and probably trusts Zevran a little bit too much.
+ bonus: ❄️ Circe Trevelyan is still half a mystery to me, but I think I'd like a Pisces-Aries (water-fire, eheh) cuspid around the Spring Equinox.
Source of the quotes: labyrinthos
And thanks for asking! 💙✨

Thinking abt the second dream story featuring a third dream story I can't remember if I ever talked abt. I <3 body horror bonus points if its slow and agonizing
#rat rambles#oc posting#the more recent dream was far less defined of a story than the other two main dreams I based stories off of but it still stuck with me#mostly because it involed dragons and body horror and both of those things are sick as hell#and I decided to put it in the same world at the story with grim since that dream also technically had dragons in it#ok but actually the main reason is to fill in some worldbuilding gaps that planted grief (the working name for grims story) had#Im still working on the worldbuilding it's been a slow process since neither story has rly gotten to be my primary focus at any given time#but Im slowly getting somewhere#mainly the important thing is figuring out what the world outside of planted grief's setting looks like and how much magic is in either#for context an important element of this world is that it is a very magical world but a certain region of it is more or less blocked off#from the rest of the world and within that region magic is far less prevelant to the point that for most ppl it may as well not exist#now for what I have so far its not necessary that these ppl don't know magic exists its just that its like. kind of hard for them to#remember it does? like when they see magic they are able to recognize it's magic and as smth fairly normal if not a bit weird to see here#but when there isnt actively magical shit going on they just sort of. cant hold onto that knowledge and forget abt it#this also applies to a lot of other things relating to magic and the rest of the world outside the region#its why they're pretty well known for their region being cursed as hell and its people even more cursed#outside the region it's pretty well known that some great tragedy befell those lands at some point in the far off past that probably is the#cause of how weird and fucky things are over there and that the barriers were set up at some point to stop it from spreading#nowadays the borders aren't super strict and people are free to cross them given they go through the proper paperwork and stuff#but most ppl on either side tend to at least be heavily advised to not take the risk for many reasons#its generally not too uncommon for outsiders to move in for work reasons tho#the main concern is that the more magical one is the harder time theyll have since ppl will often just. forget they exist when not directly#interacting with them. which isnt usually too bad but it does lead to various safety concerns that have to be addressed#the good news is that generally the longer one hangs around people the easier time they'll have remembering them as they form their own#associations with them and are able to cling to the memory that way#but the bad news is that while foreigners will never be completely susceptible to the curse™ they will start to feel the effects of it the#longer they live there which tends to be very distressing to those who end up living there long term#one part of the curse™ theyll never be hit with as hard as locals is the days of grief that hit the population Hard every now and then#basically just full days where everyone is suddenly completely inconsolable or just otherwise out of it and then completely forget abt it#once the local dragons deal with the source of the issue

Dragon Sylus loves to breed you
Dragon Sylus x F! reader
nsfw- smut drabble hehe, he's got two dicks bc YES, wrote this for @honeybunnnnie hehe <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sylus loves to wrap his black scaled tail around your body, to drag you even closer to him, to sink even deeper in your slutty little cunt. He has beads of sweat just dripping down his strong, muscled chest right now as he fills you so full. A huge hand on your tummy, sharp nails pressing into your skin as he imagines filling you with so many dragon babies, the cum from both his cocks alternating as they take turns pumping inside you.
You were terrified when you first stumbled upon this cave, truly, running far away from an arranged wedding had led you right to this dragons lair. And this dragon, of course he LOVES pretty things, and loves to hoard them. Did you really not think he'd add you to his collection?
"Ah, a sweet little Princess, has stepped into my lair, hmm?" he had practically purred those words when you stumbled in that dark cave lit only by brilliant red flames, he had been laying right on towers of gold coins when his red eyes flashed and he saw you.
At first you'd been frightened, as he inspected you with those long fingers, taking your pretty dress off and leaving on your jeweled tiara, but soon he'd begun to pleasure you, and pleasure you he did. He drank from your cunt like it was the finest source of crystal clear water, he slid you down on one of his cocks, then the other, stretching you out so deliciously.
It has been days since you left the cave, and he's had you in positions you hadn't even dreamed of - an innocent girl, but now you're his and only his.
Sylus has you bent in a full mating press, back laying on the soft, tattered remnants of your pretty dress, he loves to fuck you on it, knowing you were supposed to marry some fancy lord somewhere, but you're never going to leave him. He's splitting you apart on one of his thick, veiny cocks, your thighs spread around his narrow hips, as you gasp out.
"Can you take them all, all my babies, hmm Princess?" he whispers, you're struggling to focus, eyes rolling back in your skull, his other cock is leaking that precum down, as he slips up and shoves his other cock inside you, now one of them slipping up and down your tummy, dragging on your clit as he strokes in and out. "Look at me."
"Hmm... you're... insane..." you gasp when he shifts your positions, and soon you're riding the huge dragon, one of his cocks stretching you past your limits, your walls quivering as you try to take it. Feeling the tip leaking, ready to pump more inside you again, because he just loves when his treasure gets an attitude.
You're already his mate, he knew it just by your scent when you entered that cave- but maybe you're just figuring it out.
"I said, look at me," he gently cradles your head with one of his huge claws, fingers wrapping it entirely, while you meet his ruby eyes, your hands gripping the cool, hard scales all over his strong body.
What Sylus doesn't realize is you want them. You want to have his babies inside you, but you're so nervous to say so still - all your experience is from this dragon. Sylus feels the heat on your cheeks as he drags you down the soaking wet length, moaning as he feels you dripping from one cock to the other, his mouth leaving marks all over your pretty breasts as he marks them as his own.
"Say it," he taunts softly, eyes soft for a moment, you inhale and roll your hips, watching his glossy lips part in a gasp as you do.
"I want them in me," he blinks in surprise for a moment, when you roll them again, using the hand in front of you to jerk on his other cock tentatively, hearing his ragged moan from his throat. "I want you to keep me."
He chuckles then, even as he's jerking, so sensitive, you feel him thickening and pulsing in your cunt and your hand, exhaling as he wraps that tail around your body, teasing one of your nipples. "Did you think I'd ever let you leave? My most treasured possession."
Sylus the dragon is rather sweet at times, but when it's about his seed he needs to make sure you take it, so he has to shove it deep in your cunt when she tries to push it out, his long fingers alone hitting your cervix again. He kisses you sweetly as he does so, but he must make sure you don't waste a drop.
"Keep it in, you can do it can't you?" His husky words are drowned out by your cries and your squelching wetness in the cave, but no one can hear you and if they did, it's not like Sylus would let you go.

Daenerys’s rise to power is inseparable from the setting in which it unfolds. Unlike the female pov characters in Westeros, who remain trapped within rigid societal structures, a portion of Dany’s storyline exists largely outside of what is considered the “civilized” world. This separation is not incidental—it is fundamental to her ability to seize power in a way no other woman in asoiaf can.
Like the noblewomen of Westeros, Dany is sold into marriage, her body used as currency to further her house’s (her patriarch’s) ambitions. But while Westerosi arranged marriages are framed as political alliances, the underlying reality remains the same: women are commodities, their fates dictated by the men who claim authority over them. What sets Dany apart is not simply the brutality of her circumstances—being sold as a bridal slave to a foreign Dothraki warlord whose language and customs are alien to her—but also the opportunities those circumstances create. In Westeros, a woman’s best hope for power is to influence the men around her or exercise power in the name of the men she is connected to, but even the most politically savvy women remain constrained by a system that does not recognize their autonomy. Dany too has to initially wield power through her husband as Dothraki society is also patriarchal, but once he (and her unborn son) dies, she finds herself in a space where she is no longer beholden to any man and rejects the last institution that would otherwise confine her.
The decentralized nature of Dothraki society gave Dany an opening to refuse to join the Dosh Khaleen. Custom dictated that she should have done so, but there is no true institution enforcing this tradition, likely because it’s normally a self-enforcing one. More importantly, the powerful remnants of Khal Drogo’s khalasar were clearly not expected to enforce their own traditions, so they did not do so. Dany was not useful to them, and there was likely no benefit in sending her to Vaes Dothrak when they needed to focus on forming their new khalasars. Dany turned that perceived uselessness into an advantage. By stepping outside the last constraints placed upon her, and by the nature of her setting, she created the conditions necessary for her dragons to be hatched safely. Believed to be useless by Khal Drogo’s ko’s, they split the khalasar and rode away, leaving her in a perfect position as they took with them anyone powerful or greedy enough to challenge her for her dragons long before she even stepped into the pyre to hatch them.
So, upon Khal Drogo’s ashes, she hatched her dragons, and in doing so, she reclaimed motherhood from its patriarchal definition—not as a role that serves the interests of men, but as a source of her own power.
Her story makes it clear that working within an oppressive system to gain power is often futile. This parallels how our female Westerosi povs who attempt to gain power by playing the game remain trapped by its rules. No matter how skillfully they navigate it, the system itself is built to ensure their subjugation. Dany has succeeded not because she played better, but because she refused to play at all. She burnt the board, then removed herself from civilization—from its structures and trappings—by crossing through the Red Waste to protect herself and to safeguard her dragon hatchlings. Because of this, she is later able to reenter society as a force of disruption in her world. It’s important to note that it was Dany herself who chose to reenter society—annd later decided to use her dragons not just to empower herself, but to liberate others as well.
The message asoiaf presents through Dany is quite clear: true liberation is impossible within a system designed to oppress. Hatching her dragons on the Dothraki Sea, far away from the “civilized” world, was the perfect setting for her liberation—both practically and symbolically.
