Space-loser accidentally nerds his way to the Dark side

Okay, so it is a very stupid headcanon of mine: Obi-Wan Kenobi could totally study his way into falling.

He is so curious and so determined to understand things [despite Qui-Gon's consistent insistence that some thing just are] that I can absolutely see a universe where he decides, the only way to defeat the Dark, is learning how it works — mastering it himself.

This idea never truly leaves my head. I've posted at least one drabble about and could talk about it endlessly, but when recently, I got the bright idea to trying my hand at a little animation, this was all I could think about.

Mom: Isn't it amazing to think that if Earth moved slightly off course in either direction, we'd freeze/burn

Me, a space nerd: Did you know that if the Earth were to come to a sudden stop, we'd all go flying?

Dad: Yep. Which direction?

Me: A direction, probably

Mom: Up

Dad: There would be no up

Me: Everywhere

Dad: We'd go flying to the East

Me: Yep. And if the force of the throw doesn't kill us, then we'd suffocate

Dad: Or hit something. Because it wouldn't just be people being flung out, it's animals, and plants, and objects

Me: And anything that's tethered down

ok so i was watching my favourite space doc by melodysheep on yt, and there was this fact that made me realise how insignificant the little things we stress about are:

Getting ready for this year’s Art Fight by trying to draw nearly every day, so here’s the first character sheet I finished of the main character from a book I tried writing, and the obligatory Practice Solider I drew when I started working with the program (Ibis Paint, in case you wanted to know). Poem I made for my bf because I love him and space:

The stars could never compare,

 to your

beautiful blue eyes, 

and your golden hair.

And in the night when I look towards the moon,

I see your face and forget my gloom.

Your smile sucks me in,

and like the light in a black hole,

I can never get away.

You're a bright supernova,

we can all see you shine,

and like how the sun holds the earth,

you'll always be mine.

And you're a colorful supernova,

creating the most beautiful of stars,

and when we look upon the night sky,

we know that it is ours.
