Hi! I'm Shadow3142. Did you know Adam's running in @splatoonpolls's Splatoon OC Tourney? Well, he is, and you should totally vote for him! Why? Lemme tell you!

Who the hell is Adam Moreno?

Adam is the Agent/Captain 3 of my Splatoon Character Lore! He's a softie with a hard shell, and though he can be a bit gruff at times and a little abrasive, get to know him and you've got yourself a friend for life. Underneath that rough exterior is a loyal, passionate soul, who dedicates himself to what he believes in and will fight tooth and claw for the ones he loves.

What's his story?

As the former Agent 3, Adam's been through it. His time as an Agent has earned him many scars and too many emotional complexes to name in one post, but he's since found himself a group of close-knit friends and a well-woven support system to help hold him in place. He's working on himself gradually, and even though his promotion to captain was less than favorable, he continues to love his friends and family (and girlfriend!) in spite of it.

He has a girlfriend??

Yes! That would be Jessie McCarter. She's a badass and the leader of a turf war team known as Delta Squadron (That Adam also happens to be on).

Adam has a Salmonid friend/pet/service animal named Splog! He's a chunky boy and loves french fries.

He has an older brother named General!

Adam has a slight southwestern accent! You can only really hear it whenever he gets upset, but it's there alright.

Her dad was a jellyfish and her mom was a humboldt, her dad being a jelly made her very squishy and stretchy (arrow pointing at her says "silly putty")

She ate a buncha canned specials (with the can) when she was 16 so she's constantly charged with special charge (Arrows pointing at her and her tummy say "She's like an electric eel" and "Full of metal" respectively)

She can recharge this energy by eating, don't overfeed her tho. She'd get a tummy ache, and probably release a buncha electricity

A little propaganda for the @splatoonpolls oc tourney!!! This is The Inkoid Typhoon that Ravages the Shoreline (Typhoon for short)

Backstory stuff:

She became inkfish-shaped due to her egg being stolen by an inkling and nearly sold off, but she hatched before that could happen and ended up wandering around Splatsville in her earliest years

Later she was able to rejoin a school of salmonid during a Big Run, but the early influences of Splatsville caused her to grow up shaped Like That (aka it's what made her a salmonling)

Despite her build, she's gotten herself a pretty solid place in her school! Her battle prowess especially is what earned her a name

Trivia:

Her necklace is made of fishing line and the charms were debris collected from the ocean

She wears stolen grizzco uniforms because they're the only clothes she has access to that actually fit her. The stolen grizzco weapons are just for funsies tho

She sometimes joins runs, but only ever comes out during low tide (since that gives her room to run around)

She Does Not like inklings or octolings. At all. Both because she got stolen by one and because the constant fights are getting annoying

She plays pots and pans as drums

why You should vote for aries in the splatoon oc tourney!

(ignore how this isn't a drawing. i still haven't figured out how to make splatoon characters look right in my artstyle...)

so @splatoonpolls is running an oc tourney, and I submitted my lovely boy Aries! so here is my post as to why i think you should vote for him!!

Aries is one of my, uh, multiple splatoon ocs? He moved out from his parents house at ~18, and left for Inkopolis, though still kept in contact with his younger sister Nova when he did.

For awhile, he didn't really do much, just lived a pretty average life. Got some jobs, occasionally played in Turf Wars, made some friends, etc.

Eventually his little sister moved to Inkopolis, too, once she turned 14, and though Aries didn't see her much, he always let her know if she ever needed anything, he was right in the city and to just let him know.

So, y'know, he just kinda goes back to living his life, doing normal things - though Turf Wars were starting to be things he did less often - and eventually got a pretty consistent job when Grizzco started showing up.

...Cons is that Salmon Run is Salmon Run, and he's constantly running around trying to not get himself splatted, but at the same time has started working regularly with someone named Carmen so he's also trying to look out for them since they aren't always the most observant, and so there's always a lot going on. It's stressful, and he doesn't care for it too much, but it's consistent and it pays the rent, so he just kinda sticks with it.

Eventually, he stops hearing from his sister as often, and she kinda just stops responding to his texts for a decent few weeks, so he stops by to visit her.

That's when he finds out Nova - for the past two years - has been member Agent 3 of some secret group that had something to do with that time the Great Zapfish disappeared. Twice. To add to this, he also discovers she almost got herself killed in some underground subway.

Nova drags him along with her to explain things properly to him, and that's when he finds out... Oh, so his coworker Carmen is also part of this group. Also those pop idols his little sister loved so much and always made him learn the songs and dances of, and that girl his little sister is talking about so much, and the current idols giving the news and stuff are involved to some degree with this, and-

Aries takes this information wonderfully, and definitely does not freak out a little bit (he does, he does so bad. He's so so confused and this is all just So Much to process at once).

But, whatever, after this, Nova tells him that that's all he really needs to know, to never tell anyone about this, and he just kinda goes back to his regular life.

Shockingly, this discovery never really impacts his life in any huge way, beyond being slightly concerned every time his sister disappears for a few weeks, or when Carmen shows up to work with some new random injury (though, knowing them that could be anything). He just keeps going along, showing up at work, hanging out with some friends, y'know doing normal things.

...Oh, also sometimes Big Runs happen and his boss calls him in whether he likes it or not. ...Usually not. He really doesn't like Big Runs.

Not because of any possible danger, the short-staffing, and usually having to work with a bunch of random Inkfish he may not do well with, but because he just really hates being called into work randomly, and because he thinks his boss is just... Really tiring to deal with, even if he has no clue who his boss actually is.

Also, eventually he gets some call from his sister along the lines of "hey yknow your boss?" "what about my boss?" "yeah so he's something called a bear. from before we ever evolved. also he just tried to destroy the world and i figured i should probably let you know about that" ".................what" "yeah" "can you please. please explain a single word of what you just said" "no i cannot".

And so then he has to just sit there and try and make sense of that. ...Except then he still gets called into his stupid job, has to drag himself to work, cannot say anything about this to anyone ever, and still has to go to his job.

Aside from all the...... Everything happening with multiple people he knows, somehow he still is just Some Guy and aside from the things already mentioned, pretty much nothing interesting actually happens. He's just vibing. He just kinda lives his life.

So yeah, please vote for my silly little guy Aries!

Mitski Pincilpusher is a very anxious Octoling who migrated to inkopolis away from the domes. She works in Corp.co as an accountant to support her and her daughter momo. She is heavily inlove with Canner, and while he also likes her, theyre both really dumb and never fucking do anything.

Not much of a foodie but eats a lot because of leftover anxieties of never knowing when youre going to eat next in the domes.

Her hair is rarely ever just blue because she spends most of her time sureounded by people she loves, wether it being Canner at work, Selene (her bestie and coworker) at the bar, or momo at home.

OC Propaganda! Little Buddy edition

Here is a propaganda post for Dev for @splatoonpolls's OC tournament!

This is the Devourer of the Dry Lands, also known as Dev for short. He's a young Salmonid that hasn't evolved or grown up into his adult form yet. He's very long for a smallfry though!

He's extremely food motivated! He's a hungry little guy and he LOVES snacks. If you aren't careful, he 100% will steal food off of your plate (especially if you're eating a shrimp-based dish). This is how he got his namesake, especially after going through Alterna and eating SO MANY power eggs and fuzzy ooze. He's just a tiny glutton.

He's a little trouble maker, even more so since his partner in crime (an Octoling named Bubbles) is able to fluently speak Salmonid tongue. An example of him causing trouble: he convinced Bubbles to take him with her on a Salmon Run shift, just so that he could wander out to get a live recording of w-3. This had a lot of chaotic consequences. Also the sock that he's wearing he stole from Bubbles.

He's my version of Little Buddy. I considered entering one of my other Agent OCs, but I decided he deserved some love. He's a silly little guy and I want him to be perceived.

Could be a King Salmonid, but chooses not to because then he wouldn't be able to be with his friends. Did I mention he loves friends? For the low low price of giving him snackies, you too can also be his friend! One vote = One treat for Dev

Looking forward to having this silly little fishie in the tournament!

(The Silurian is a eon in wich ammonites thrived all though the ammonite shes based off isnt from the silurian….) shes based of a particularly crazy ammonite called a nipponites and all her band mates (yet to be designed) are based of other ancient sea creatures such as opabinia.

Grraaaaghh I completely forgot to do this but it's better late then never!! Here's some stuff about Royal and why you should vote for them on @splatoonpolls oc-tourney!!

Introduction!

• Royal is the 10th agent of the squidbeak splatoon, aswell as an independent musician called '1ND1G0 SH0RE'. His biggest wish is his own musical breakthrough and his music to play during turf. It appears that his main weapon-type is the brush.

My first ever designed-to-be-an-agent-oc! And he evolved alot from being simply created for OC X Canon :'D

Next to his roles more related to actual "canon" Splatoon-content, he's also one of the two guides for the story mode of my au/oc city! (Agent 10 & 9 are mostly considered a "B-Team" when they're alone, along with their designated new recruit!)

• He became part of the Squidbeak Splatoon due to the disappearance of his younger sister Navy, after entering a mysterious sewer. Some very overwhelming (probably deadly) hours of many adventures later, the two siblings reunite and Navy reveals she's been enlisted in the group as so-called "Agent 9", offering the same to her brother. Begrudgingly, he agrees, making him the tenth agent (despite being only a year younger than the first two agents...).

Personality

→ Rather chill and laid-back, 10 doesn't seem to take this whole "agent"-thing as serious as they should, though willing to help the squidbeak when they're in great danger. Despite a lazy and uncaring outlook, Royal has always been open for a piece of advice towards his fellow agents, helpful or not. He's open and friendly, but deep down a reserved perfectionist. Royals strengths are his favorite weapon type, his speed and (sometimes) cleverness, but also his musical talent in musical instruments and his favorite audio editing-software.

→ He likes tableturf, tower control, playing around with his favorite software, stickers, naps and squid-plushies. He has tried regular turf war, but has been bullied out by inkopolis and splatsville kids due to his age.

Some other Facts!

• Royal is transmasc, aswell as demigender, ace and omniromantic. He's also 23 years old (S3).

• He lives in Flounder Heights and HATES it when it's designated stage is used. A kid almost threw a booyah bomb in his apartment on accident.

• Contrary to his sister, he seems to know Agent 1 & 2's real identity.

• His strained relationship with Agent 2 may be a reference to the strained relationship of charger- and brush mains. (And 2's suspiciousness of 1 & 10s relationship.)

• On the contrary, Agent 1 & 10 seem very close to eachother. Well, to his bad luck obviously still not breaking her and 2's bond.

• Next to his younger sister Navy, he also has an even brother named Skip, a Grizzco-Supervisor. Neither of the siblings seem to have much contact to Skip.

• C-Side Stan, Squid Squad-Hater.

• He has an entire notebook full of tableturf-cards, as well as a loss-streak of 37.

• His biggest fear are birds and floods.

• So far his Splatfest-Teams have been: Grub, Fire, Spicy, Milk Chocolate, Nessie, Power, Strawberry, Fame & Big Man

That's it! I sadly was very much distracted by school and a following brick of an artblock. Despite that, I hope I'm able to post more about him, art included! The art in here is kinda old but not too outdated :'D
