i've been relistening to my solas playlist lately and it's been a while i switched back to my lucanis one and i forgot just how banger it is

something i don't think enough fanfics play with is the fact that nano can build himself back up from nearly nothing; ergo, if an author wanted to separate part of nano from the rest of him and not give him a chance to reunify until much much later, the two parts of nano might end up with a surplus of nanobots by the time they manage to recombine back into one dude. in the meantime, multiple sets of characters can have a nano with them to eventually cause them to be able to relocate each other again if necessary.

Just got the craziest idea:

Ok, so we all love the din fics when he falls for the new member of his crew as she takes care of lil green bean baby... but what if she has a secret?

Not just that she's kinky crazy in love with our tin can man, but that she's a part of a rare alien species: they're born in 2 parts.

No, she's not a twin. Her people are born into two bodies, that share a consciousness (to a degree) & they feel everything that happens to the other... though they have different kinks & preferences (one is sweet & soft, & the other is similar, but craves ownership & corruption), they are ONE.

Due to the fact that they're so vulnerable (if one dies, they both die), & the fact that their people are nearly extinct, they keep their alien biology a secret... their whole life...until they meet din.

Maybe it's the baby who outs them? Force sensitive toddler can't keep a secret 😆 or, they're both on the crest (one stowed away), & din comes back early from a hunt, to find the mirror image of his crush cooing over his son. Idk....

I remember seeing a lot of people saying things like "oh people assume you're cishet before you come out because it's most common/seen as the default..." But I disagree. Cishet isn't the default in any way, even if common. My take of the day:

Aroace agender is the human default.

Everyone starts off as a baby. And babies are inherently aaa because. Obviously. Babies do not see bodies as anything (other than mother's milk which is food), it's not sexual. Babies do not want romance, only platonic love is enough. Babies don't understand gender stereotypes, and therefore everything is agender. It's just "thing", not "masculine thing" or "feminine thing".

As they grow up, kids of certain ages start understanding and putting weight on gender, giving them a gender identity/ideal. Their bodies look the same as their peers (purely body shape, ignoring hair and clothing etc), so they are the same, therefore there is no "two(or more) genders", and it's just "child".

Most children don't start feeling any kind of romantic attraction until a certain age (if ever). Sexual attraction comes much later too, when teens "discover themselves"(aka coming out as not ace) (if they're not ace).

All this to say, cishet is not default. Kis shouldn't have to "come out" as not cishet, because they shouldn't be assumed to be cishet in the first place. Adults shouldn't push their views onto kids who have yet to even understand these concepts, much less worry about it yet.

Thank you for the kind words 🥺 sincerely they were very effective, I took a day off yesterday and instead of pressuring myself to write I read two books and crocheted a bunch (that cardigan is almost done!) and led my D&D game and today I went to a Con (if anyone was at terrificon I was dressed as superboy) and I just got home and I ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE WRITING SO THANK YOU ALL FOR GIVING ME GOOD ADVICE AND BEING PATIENT WITH ME ILY ALL 💖💖💖💖💖💖
