There's something very appealing about a conditioned/long-time (or even life-long) whumpee talking to a new acquaintance or friend, or even a future caretaker, and casually talking about the horrors they go through at the hands of their beloved owner. They don't understand why their new friend is looking so horrified. After all, this is normal! Right? ... right?

Not to be horny on main but I want to give Law the craziest head. I’m talking legs shaking, eyes rolling in the back of his head—it’s so good he just might cry levels of sloppy toppy. And I know he would be so sensitive, so whiny—Law would try to contain himself. Self control is very important to him after all, but it would just be too good. He’d make the prettiest, most pathetic noises because nobody has ever worshipped his body like, praised him like this, taken such good care of him like this.

Also not to be soft on main but I want to run my fingers through his hair while he rests his head in my lap. Want to listen to him ramble about medical terminology until my brain hurts, but I’d listen anyway cause he’s so enthusiastic and smart. Or his coin collection. He’s a nerd, and he’s sure as fuck getting teased about it but in the most affectionate way possible. I’d want him to feel comfortable and safe and valued—wanna give him all the tenderness that was taken from him, and all the love he was denied.

Just because you didn't know the word for what was going on doesn't mean it didn't happen. You just substituted what you didn't know with what you saw as the most logical conclusion (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just when you continue to press your assumption even when told what the reality is that you become rude). It's not your fault that you missed the signs, but the signs were there, and we'd like to have some acknowledgement of that.

nat’s post-rescue behavior makes so much sense, not just as a response to all the trauma they endured, but also bc she was supposed to be the first after jackie. she was supposed to be the first purposeful sacrifice. jackie was an accident. eating her was an impulse, an act of desperation. sacrificing nat was deliberate. nat was the hunter & couldn’t provide in the winter - ofc she was the first chosen. she was going to provide one way or another.

Thinking about understimulation as a vessel for whump. Lying down and staring into the ceiling, wanting to claw your way out of your skin to get away from this feeling, that's interesting to think about on its own, but...

The things they do to escape that understimulation. When they turn to self-harm or substance abuse just to feel something, make poor impulsive decisions, start drama or pick fights for entertainment... Whether they realize what they're doing or let it turn into a pattern, it's just... yeah~
