[AOS] Spock - The Other Kirk
Tumblr media
♫ - Spring Day - BTS
A/N: Hello! I think I've written something similar before, honestly I don't remember, but if anyone is still reading these or is still here, enjoy! Hugs! x
for @lovinghufflepuffgirl <3
fem! pronouns (she/her) :)
Growing up, Iowa was life in the fast lane, and things were always constantly moving. The Kirk's were a well-known family, whether it was for your father, Lieutenant George Kirk, and his work in Starfleet, or it was your brother, Jim Kirk, and his truanting and general misbehaviour. America was entirely different to space, and you quickly found that out on your first assignment in Starfleet.
Life on the Enterprise was definitely different to normal life. There were people of different races, species, genders; you name it, it was here. All beings from outer space worked together towards one common goal and it was a close community aboard the ship. You yourself, were human. From Riverside, Iowa on Earth, you were the sister of the Captain, and that didn't really make life too simple.
Despite the difference, your brother stuck up for you no matter what, whether it was earth or the academy, it didn't matter. You were his pride and joy, and he would protect you with his life.
By nature, your brother Jim was loud, obnoxious and confident. There never really was anything he wouldn't do, the man had confidence built from steel. You guessed that's what came from being the Captain. You were the polar opposite of him. Quiet as a whole, you kept your books and studies to yourself, always picking a small, closed off corner of the mess hall to sit in. Most people talked to you in relation to your brother, never really anything else. But, you weren't too offended.
There was always someone a little different, though; Spock.
Your brothers first officer, Spock was always by his side, or on the bridge as acting captain. But, on the semi-rare occasion he wasn't, Spock tended to join you in the corner without much being said between you. In a way, you quite enjoyed it. It was a mutual understanding; you knew he didn't always favour talking, and so a simple smile and a nod of acknowledgement before you both delved back to your datapads and meals, was enough.
This pattern developed over time, and you found yourself sat with him more and more. Conversations started to naturally come between you, and before long, you were learning more and more about him, as he was you. One day, was different, it was still the same old routine, but the conversation was different.
"Good evening, Y/N," Spock started, placing his pad and drink down on the table. "How are you doing?"
"Hi Spock, I'm doing well, thank you, I'm a little stressed out over this, but other than that, it's good." Spock saw your face, brows furrowed but still trying to maintain your usual polite smile. "How are you?"
"I am well, thank you. Perhaps I can help you with that."
Spock spun his pad round and sat down next to you for the first time. Usually, he was less personal and more formal, tending to always sit across from you. But this time, Spock chose the seat next to you instead. You suddenly felt nervous, though you had no real reason to be. Spock took your pad from you, fingers brushing delicately across your own for a second. Though it was only that second, the feeling lingered for a while. Spock stared at you for a moment, and quickly diverted his eyes down. If you hadn't known any better, you'd say his cheeks went a little red.
"What is it you need help with?" he asked, voice low.
"I just don't understand any of it, I'm trying my best but I can't make sense of what feels like a thousand pages of writing."
Spock sat with you for nearly two hours, explaining and writing and helping you where he could. It felt like he had been there all night, and as he spoke and talked you through everything paragraph by paragraph, eventually, it started to sink in and you began to understand. Even being Vulcan, Spock could not hide the pride on his face and a small smile after you explained the study back to him.
"Well done, Y/N, I am impressed." His voice was different, and it sounded happy. His tone and smile told you that.
"You're smiling, you must be proud," you laughed out, and quickly got nervous again. "I, uh, didn't mean it like that if I offended you or-"
"Do not worry, I am proud. You have managed to learn something you did not know. That is an achievement and you should be proud too."
"I couldn't have done it without you, thank you," you replied, not really too sure where to look. You became sheepish, something you had not been much around Spock for quite some time. Whether it was the closeness, or the care from him, you weren't sure.
"It has been an enjoyable two hours, I would like to do this again sometime," Spock seemed a little cautious, taking a breath before continuing. "Perhaps, without the studying."
He took you aback a little, before it fully clicked he was asking you on a date.
"I would quite like that, Spock."
The day came to a close as he walked you back to your room before bidding you a goodnight.
The morning came and you were up bright and early for your shift. As you finished getting dressed and tied your hair up, your comms system rang out.
"Lieutenant Y/N to the Captain's ready room."
With confusion and slight concern, you made your way to Jim's room with haste, not wanting to upset him in case he was in a bad mood or you had done something wrong. Reaching the room, you didn't even have to knock before the door swung open. You stepped inside, and your brother sat with a face like thunder.
"Captain? Or Jim today?" you asked, in the same joking manner as usual.
"Spock?" he replied.
"Weird choice of name, but who am I to judge?" you replied, shrugging.
"Not funny."
"Never claimed to be, you've always been the clown. What's up with you?"
Jim raised an eyebrow, very clearly unimpressed.
"When were you going to tell me you were dating my first officer?"
You couldn't help but laugh. "What? I'm not dating Spock, relax. We just eat together and we're going on a date later this week, but I would love to know who told you that, because they found out before I did and that's one hell of a talent."
"Y/N, seriously. Have you thought about this?" You furrowed your brow, nodding him to elaborate. "This is Spock, he's a Vulcan, which means emotions are not his specialist subject."
"You'd be surprised, Jim. Why do you care so much anyway? He's your XO, you trust him don't you? He wouldn't hurt me, if that's what you're worried about. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't try this out and I won't go this weekend."
Jim stared at you, trying to summon any semblance of an answer for that, but realised he didn't actually have a legitimate reason to stop you. He did trust Spock, and he would trust Spock to keep you safe like he does, and to care for you. There was nothing really he could do to stop this, nor was there any reason he could see.
Sighing, he shook his head. "You're right. I just worry for you, you know? You're all I got, and-"
You cut him off with a hug. His grip tightened and you buried yourself into his shoulder. Pulling back, you smiled at him.
"Don't worry, I love you too. I won't get myself killed, but if I do, he's all yours."
Jim laughed, and you joined in, grabbing your drink and heading towards the door.
"Plus, it was Spock or Bones, so take your pick where you want."
"Y/N!"
With that, you closed the door over a little, laughing to yourself. From around the corner, you saw Spock, who raised his brow.
"Spock and Bones? What about us?"
You shrugged. "Nothing important, but if you go in there I'm sure you'll find out."
Spock cocked his head in curiosity, and you smiled.
"You look adorable like that, by the way." You leaned in and kissed his cheek, and swore you saw that blush red on his cheeks. "See you later."
As you walked away, Spock stood for a second, and touched his cheek where you left that kiss, and very faintly from behind the door came a voice that snapped him out of it.
"What the hell!"

Sure Bet - Spock
Pairing: Spock x reader (gender neutral)
Warnings: swearing
Words: 2277
A/N: Just a short idea I’ve head when reading @sachiko1309 's Spock fanfiction yesterday. Hope you don't mind me tagging you, no need to read if you dont' want to lol.
Please do not repost my work on other sites or platforms!
“What?!” your friend and Captain almost exclaimed, making most of the people in the rec room look at you. Sometimes being with Jim when he was drunk wasn’t fun. “You mean you never kissed someone?” he took another sip from his drink as if to overcome the disbelief.
“Of course I did” you defended yourself “It just only were people that I was in a relationship with” and you only were in your second relationship so there was that.
“Well, we gotta change that” he said with a conspirational glance to his friend Bones. You too glanced at the doctor but he didn’t seem as enthusiastic and said he wouldn’t want to force you to do anything. “No, no that’s not what I meant” he looked back at you “We just should make it... attractive for you”
“Meaning what?”
“Well....” he rubbed his nose “let’s say that next time you come to the bridge to deliver a report, you can kiss someone on the bridge. And if you do, I swear I will wear a female uniform with a skirt for three days”
“You mean kiss someone while on duty?” he shrugged
“Better than while being drunk, huh?” you raised your eyebrows. Not because you disagreed with the whole idea. After all, your current relationship was with Commander Spock after all who did work on the bridge.
“And what if I won’t kiss anyone?”
“Then I’d say the next drinks are on you”
“The drinks on the ship are free” you reminded him
“I meant back on a planet or so. What say you?” he finished his drink.
“I mean... just three days? Does the time you wear it depend on who I kiss or how I kiss them?”
“Okay here’s the rules. The kiss has to be on the mouth. If you kiss someone you’re friends with it’s gonna be three days. If it’s someone else or you know... making out, I’ll wear it for a week. Also you can’t kiss me. I don’t count. Or Bones if he’s there. But anyone else”
“We’re not including Spock in this are we? He’d not only find it very illogical but probably also finds a dozen rules that forbid this” Leonard asked and Jim turned to him
“Tell you what Bones, (Y/N) actually has the guts to kiss him, I wear the dress ten days” trying to hide your smile you nipped at your drink. After all he would definitely be the one you kissed. Not your fault if no one knew of your relationship and Jim was raising the stakes himself.
“You’re on” you said. “But it hasn’t to be tomorrow. In the course of the week”
“Deal”
The next day you needed to deliver a report to the bridge but to your dismay the Captain was nowhere to be seen. Well, now you had to come back another time.
“Yeoman?” you heard Spock ask from the Captain’s chair
“I have the reports, sir” you told him “I was just wondering what to do since the Captain isn’t here. Do you think it’s possible I’ll leave them for him and pick them up later? Or will you sign them?” you hoped he’d say no to the latter.
“According to the Captain he should be back shortly”
“Alright” you said, almost thrusting the PADD into his hands “I’ll come and get them back in a bit”
“Very well” Spock said and you gave a nod, stepping back into the turbolift and letting out a deep breath when it went down. Part of you wished it would already be over. It wasn’t the kiss you were nervous about but Spock’s reaction. Not because you had agreed to keep the relationship a secret, in fact you were planning to let others know soon but to just do it so sudden and kiss him so openly when you hadn’t shared that many kisses - Vulcan or human ones – before.
When you returned to the bridge an hour later Bones was there too and you weren’t sure if you were happy about it or not. Sure he would give you hell for kissing Spock but you also knew how much he would tease Jim when you did.
“Yeoman” the Captain greeted you “I bet you’re here for the reports”
“I am. But not just that” you added the second part a little quieter. He handed you the PADD and as was regulation you quickly checked the signature before giving a nod. Instead of leaving directly as you usually did, unless there was something else you had to do on a particular day, you decided to walk a short circle on the bridge so your two friends wouldn’t know who you’d kiss right away. Oh, you could feel almost all eyes on you because even those that didn’t know of the bet were wondering what you did but suddenly you found you didn’t care. Of course the only who didn’t seem to have noticed what was going on was Spock. Only when you stopped in front of him did he look up and you threw a quick last glance to Jim and Bones, the first looking a little pale and it wouldn’t have surprised you if he jumped up at that moment and retreated from the bet in that moment.
“Is there something you require from me, Yeoman?” Spock asked.
“Kind of” you said quietly and looked at him “I know this may be a bit weird and illogical and I’m sorry” you heard Bones snort but there was a huge smile on his face. Slowly you placed your hands on Spock’s arms, slowly leaning in because even if you were in a relationship you would not force him into a kiss just for a bet. He didn’t move and still stood there ramrod straight. But not because he was not okay with what you were doing, this was a different kind of stiffness. More one of confusion. You got onto your tiptoes and when he realized what you were going to do and didn’t pull back, a sign he wasn’t in the mood for a kiss you ignored his questioning ‘Yeoman’ and placed your lips on his. Of course he didn’t do much to respond but it wasn’t that he did nothing because he leant closer and his hands went to your hips.
“That’s not fair!” Jim’s yell made you break apart and your boyfriend was quick to get a professional distance to you again but there still was some fondness and confusion in his glance.
“Might I inquire the reason for this seemingly spontaneous display of affection; in public nonetheless?” he had lowered his voice, obviously not wanting the others to hear. You gave a shrug not wanting to tell him the truth right now.
“I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable or something but... I just wanted to. And you said you’re okay with letting others know so... well. Might not have been the best moment” he raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything for a while
“Wait a moment” Bones said “Am I missing something there?” he pointed at the two of you and now everyone was looking even more intensely if that even was possible. But you were glad that no one said anything at least. “Are you two...?” you glanced at Spock to see if he was okay if you confirmed
“Doctor, I believe question is lacking the inquired element”
“Don’t make me say it, pointy. Are you two.... you know...?” he made a gesture with his hand
“I must admit that I am not familiar with sign language and therefore still could not understand what exactly you wish to find out” of course your boyfriend seemed the only one who was still unaware of what Bones was trying to ask and even though you felt bad for him it made you also feel better because maybe the kiss now didn’t' seem too strange anymore
“A thing okay?” the doctor spat “Dating. Courting. Seeing each other. Having an affair.”
“While I cannot fully differentiate between all of these human terms for being in a relationship you are quite correct doctor”
“You knew this” Jim shouted at you
“Why yes,” you answered “seeing that I am in the relationship it’s obvious that I know of it”
“I’m not gonna say how much you just sounded like Spock” Bones muttered making you smile. Meanwhile other bridge members were starting to congratulate you or ask question as to how and when you got together. Somehow you were glad that Spock reminded them that they still were on duty and this was something they could discuss after the shift. The Captain then made it an order that everyone got back to work
“That goes for you too, Yeoman” you only nodded and then left the bridge.
Early the following morning Bones was at your door
“What is it?” you asked, fearing there was some kind of emergency
“Nothing, I just figured you might like to come to the bridge and see to it that the Captain honors his part of the bet”
“Oh right” you smiled “give me some minutes to get ready” of course the topic you talked about on the way to the bridge was your relationship with the First Officer. Luckily the way wasn’t that long that you could only answer three questions and then were on the bridge. Jim wasn’t here yet, which was good because you needed to see the other’s reactions. Spock seemed confused what you were doing here because your shift only would start in an hour.
“Just watch and see Spock, this is gonna be good” Bones said with a smirk. After a couple of minutes that seemed like an eternity, the door to the turbolift opened and out of it stepped Jim Kirk, in a short sleeved, yellow female skirt-uniform with his coffee in his hands
“Keptain on...” Chekov started and then let out a hiccup and others too were staring at the Captain. Some tried to hide their smiles, others pretended they were focused on their screens and not looking at all and Spock of course commented it with the raise of an eyebrow.
“Good morning” Jim said nonchalantly, obviously trying to play it cool and sat down on the chair, trying to adjust the skirt making you giggle. “Is there a problem?” he asked staring daggers at the people who looked at him.
“You look lovely Jim” Bones chocked out before laughing and it broke the spell and almost the whole bridge crew did the same.
“How come?” Sulu asked nodding at his superior’s uniform.
“You can thank Spock being in a relationship for that”
“Captain, I fail to understand how my relationship correlates with your choice of clothing, especially seeing that both your demeanor and tone suggest you are neither comfortable nor pleased with it”
“Spock tell me isn’t there a Starfleet regulation against bets?” oh no he was not getting out of this and you threw a glance at Spock but luckily he was already citing the relevant articles, saying that bets per se weren’t forbidden and only gambling or making bets while on duty or cheating were not allowed as well as hosting big tournaments on a Starfleet facilities even with an official license and the like. “That’s not helping. There’s gotta be something. Like... holding back information and making me raise the stakes”
“I would believe the term is a ‘bluff’ which is permitted during gambling or making bets. It is up to the participating individual to determine the stakes as well as the decision to withdraw should uncertainty arise. Once the wages are made however, I believe it is imperative for humans that they do not withdraw”
“Tell him Spock” Bones cheered, making the Commander glance at him.
“Well, then tell me Spock isn’t it highly illogical to make a bet about a we wearing another uniform if (Y/N) kisses someone?”
“Yes Captain, I do agree. However, as I have noticed previously humans tend to take a multitude of illogical actions. In this particular case, while I do not know all the facts, I believe that it would be met with societal disapproval should you retreat. Especially seeing that you are the Captain of this ship and therefore vowed to uphold proper conduct and be a role model”
“Spock, I think that’s the first time I wholeheartedly agree with you. Couldn’t have said it better”
“Fuck it Spock. I don’t think this uniform is proper conduct or being a role model. Do tell, is there any regulation that forbids to wear a wrong uniform?”
“The Starfleet Uniform Code clearly states that each commissioned officer or cadet must wear a proper and official uniform displaying the correct colors and rank of their current position. A certain degree of personalization may be permitted under a superior officer, such as wearing cultural or personal jewelry but must be met with approval in some cases. Since there is no article that restricts certain uniform types to a specific gender or even species and you yourself have authorized such personalizations, I can assure you that your choice of uniform does not deviate from any regulation”
“In plain speech Jim, no way of arguing your way out of there” Bones ‘translated’.
“Oh, just you wait” the Captain growled “I’m so gonna get back at you for this. And at (Y/N) and Spock too. You better watch your backs” Spock threw you a glance, obviously not sure what Jim meant and you only gave a shrug, deciding this was your time to take your leave from the bridge.

Tumblr media
"I'm sorry... This is all my fault I should've payed more attention I should have... I don't know I just wish-"
"There is nothing you could have done to change this. It is not your fault." Spock calmy states.
You begin to notice the slight shiver in his voice, and the growing green tint to his skin that's increasing along side the dropping temperature. It really concerns you. The cold must be getting to him. Gods, all of this because of a shuttle crash. The two of you were luckily this planet happened to be inhabitable. Well Inhabitable... but unpleasantly freezing. There's no telling how cold it must feel for Spock with his Vulcan heritage.
"T'hy'la are you alright?" Spock asks breaking your train of thought.
"Sorry, I just... I just feel useless. Sitting here freezing just waiting for the Enterprise to rescue us. If they even rescue us."
"The Enterprise will likely rescue us do not worry. " The unspoken question of when is avoided. There's not telling how long it will take. Hours, days, or worse... The two of you go silent.
"Are you cold? " You eventually speak up.
"I am adequate. "
"Spock, please don't lie... "
"Vulcans do not li-" you cut him off by reaching out a hand placing it against Spock's cheek. You gasp jolting your hand back.
"You are freezing cold! Why didn't you tell me?!" You panic and quickly shed your emergency blanket wrapping it around Spock.
"I did not want to tell you, I do not want to worry you. Please...keep your blanket you need it." Spock shivers out.
"Spock... please let me warm you? "
Spock paused then reluctantly nods. He uncovers himself holding his arms out for you to crawl into. Seems he already knew what you were planing. You snuggle up into him and cradle him close.
"May I touch your hands? "
"You always may. "
"Thank you... " you take his hands in yours gently holding them and rubbing them. Then you breathe warm air on them, breathing warmth into him like you always manage to do.

May we have a oneshot based on this scene (https://youtube.com/watch?v=BgVJDd5vHfw&feature=share) for Spockxreader?
Omg, I love this scene! Of, course I will do it! I altered some parts just a little bit but the gist is the same. I hope you like it!
Title: Hello Sweetie
Pairing: Spock x fem!reader, implied platonic Jim Kirk x reader, and platonic Bones x reader
Warnings: canon violence, it's implied that Jim meddled for matchmaking purposes, nothing else I think
Word Count: 2924
She really shouldn’t have been here. Pure lunacy had gotten her here in the first place. Doctor (Y/N) (L/N) was never meant for this type of fieldwork and she was willing to bet that her own lack of skill was a huge reason why she was in this particularly dangerous situation. She was stood in the middle of a very ornate room – a sort of banquet hall she surmised – with her hands cuffed in front of her. Her elegant dress was singed at the hem and her hair had fallen out of its elegant updo. She looked around and noticed there were a total of three other people in the room all of whom wore heavy robes with hoods to obscure most of their faces: the alien guard beside her the one behind her and the one standing by the door they just came in through.
“You know when I get invited to parties, normally there’s food,” She said to the guard who stood closely to her right. He did not acknowledge her at all and his large, bug-like eyes stayed focused on the door at the other end of the room. (Y/N) rolled her eyes, “So much for small talk.”
As she shifted her weight from foot to foot with impatience she couldn’t help but place partial blame on the genius who thought this plan up in the first place. Captain James T. Kirk. Just a day earlier he had cornered (Y/N) in her office and asked her to take part in a simple recognizance mission.
“I’m telling you this is an easy mission and it will go off without a hitch! You’re in, you’re out, you’re done,” Kirk pleaded as he followed her out into the main area of the medbay. He had just explained how it would be perfect for her because she was sociable and friendly. Of course, he couldn’t help but add in the added benefit of her good looks. “People will be spilling their guts to you! All you gotta do is bat those eyelashes.”
“Captain, this is harassment. I told you: missions like that are not in my job training.” (Y/N) turned to face Kirk and used her hand to apply emphasis to her statement. “I. Am. Not. Going. End of story.”
The door opened after what felt like hours but what was only a few minutes. (Y/N) watched as an alien that looked similar to the guard but larger walked confidently into the room accompanied by a few other guards. The big alien was dressed in fine clothes and had an elaborate and heavy-looking headdress on, signaling to (Y/N) that it would be good for her health to not piss him off. She stayed silent until the alien stood so close to her that she could smell him. He smelled of rotten meat and expensive oils.
“You are Doctor (Y/N) (L/N) of the starship Enterprise.” He said. “I have reason to believe you are a cohort of Commander Spock.”
This took (Y/N) by surprise. Her brows furrowed and her lips tugged into a frown. Sure she had worked with Spock plenty of times but surely not enough to be considered a cohort, or associated with him by name.
“I think there’s been some sort of mistake here. I don’t even know Commander Spock that well!”
“Spock suggested you specifically for the mission.”
(Y/N) paused and dropped her hand down to her side. Kirk could very well be lying just to get her to agree but then why else would he want a surgeon doing a spy’s job.
“No, he didn’t. You just want me to give in,” She huffed and gathered some old patient files that needed to be sorted and brushed passed Kirk and into her office. She couldn’t deny the rush of warmth spreading across her face but she could do her best at hiding it.
“I’m serious! He said you were beautiful and that you would be disarming enough to get people to talk to you about anything,” Kirk once again followed (Y/N) into her office but this time stopped to lean on the door frame. He crossed his arms and smirked as he watched the doctor deadpan at him.
“Commander Spock said that? Those exact words?” She didn’t believe Spock even knew how to actually compliment people, even behind their backs.
The alien huffed and one of his henchmen stepped forward. He was very scrawny and his large eyes darted wildly around the room.
“We have reliable intel that you are close to the Enterprise’s second-in-command and we would like you to divulge his whereabouts. We know that he has been trying to infiltrate our databases and that is a crime that can not go unpunished,” his voice was harsh, like a steaming tea kettle and (Y/N) winced.
“Well, I’m sorry but your intel is wrong. I wouldn’t even classify us as friends. Well, I mean it’s not that I don’t want to be his friend. I actually like him a lot but he spends just about every moment with me in silence or critiquing me so-“
“Enough! Quit your useless rambling and tell us where he is!” The boss alien thundered out so loud that the floor seemed to shake. (Y/N) was officially freaked out.
“Look, I’m telling you, I have no idea where he is! I don’t even know if he’s on this planet!” She pleaded with the aliens and hoped they believed her because it was the truth. She hadn’t seen Spock for a while, even before Kirk made her go on this mission.
“Yeah, he didn’t say those exact words but that’s definitely what he meant to say. I could tell.”
“Kirk, get out of my office.”
Kirk sighed and walked up to the desk, “Just please do this mission. We are so close to our goal we just need a little push. (Y/N)-
            “Doctor (L/N).”
            “(Y/N). Please.”
If there’s one thing that (Y/N) can’t resist, it’s James being sincere. It just happens so rarely that she caves right away. After a moment of glaring into Kirk’s pleading eyes, she rubbed her eyes and sighed, “Fine!”
“Yes!” Kirk pumped his fist in victory.
“But I want to talk to Spock first.”
Kirk paused and side-glanced before looking back at (Y/N), “You can’t.”
            “Why not?”
            “Cause he’s on the mission.”
“I thought you said he asked for me. How could he have told you that if he’s on mission already?” (Y/N) raised an accusatory eyebrow, she was sure she caught Kirk in his lie but he was quick.
“Because he just left this morning. Now find your hottest dress and meet me in the transport room for your briefing,” Kirk tapped the desk before quickly exiting the room.
            “Wait, Now?!”
(Y/N) could honestly say she had not thought of how to get out of a situation like this. All attention was on her – something that she would normally thrive with – but she was at a loss for words for the first time in her life. The big alien grumbled and leaned forward to look closer at her face. She didn’t hide her fear.
“Look, I swear on my life I don’t know what Spock is doing or where he is,” She couldn’t hide the tremble in her voice but she tried to be as firm as possible.
“Humans,” the alien spat, “They lie so blithely.”
            “I’m not lying!”
“How can you claim to like someone but know nothing about them? You are lying!”
(Y/N) huffed and rolled her eyes, “Just because I like him does not mean he likes me! The guy does not even think that way! He doesn’t talk to me unless it has something to do with my job!” She had stepped forward during her rant but was immediately seized by the guards that were closest to her. They gripped tightly on her upper arms but the guard on her left quickly loosened his grip and she couldn’t help but think that the sensation was familiar. It reminded her of her first meeting with Commander Spock.
She was in a hurry to get to the medbay as she had been sent a 9-1-1 message by Bones. In her hurry she had been completely disregarding the safety of other people in the halls, bumping into several people while shouting an apology over her shoulder. It was while she was giving one of these hurried apologies that she managed to bump into a solid form that barely stumbled while she went tripping toward the ground. With a yelp, she braced for the ground but was stopped by a strong hand taking hold of her upper arm.
“Doctor (L/N), it’s not safe to be running through the halls. The hazard is amplified when one is not paying attention.”
The monotone voice of Commander Spock caused (Y/N) to snap her eyes open and scramble to stand on her own two feet rather than being suspended by her arm.
“Oh, gosh, I’m so sorry, Commander! You’re totally right, I wasn’t paying attention-“
“Apology accepted, Doctor,” Spock interrupted her rambling and then walked passed her without waiting for a response. (Y/N) huffed and frowned as she too walked away from the scene of the social crime.
“Well, isn’t he a sweetie,” She grumbled before picking up her pace through the halls, this time paying attention to where she was going.
From then on, “sweetie” was (Y/N)’s nickname for Spock. She was careful to never say it to his face since she had worked with him a lot more since the “incident” but in private and amongst friends, the sarcastic endearment rolled easily off the tongue. It got to the point where she even used it with the Captain.
“Why do you call him that, it’s weird,” Kirk questioned one day over drinks in the lounge.
“Because every time I talk to him, he’s an asshole. I think it’s funny.”
Kirk laughed and sipped his whiskey. “Well, I think you might have a crush on our favorite Vulcan.”
“Oh, I definitely do,” (Y/N) was very direct. Kirk choked on his drink in surprise and coughed as (Y/N) continued, “But that’s out of the equation because I don’t even think Spock thinks about anyone unless they’re useful for something he needs doing.”
(Y/N) downed the last of her drink and shook her head to try to rid herself of the floaty state the alcohol put her in. In the morning, she would regret letting James Kirk in on her best-kept secret but she was not worried about that or anything else except for going to bed.
“Well, speak of the devil,” Kirk said with a smirk. Spock walked in with his hands clasped behind his back and his usual blank expression. Upon noticing the state of his friend and his colleague he resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
“Oh, hello, sweetie!” (Y/N) laughed at her own words and Kirk couldn’t help but laugh as well. Spock was stunned into silence. He let his hands drop to his sides and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He didn’t know exactly how to respond, she had never called him anything other than his name and rank before. He decided to ignore the sudden endearment.
“Captain, you’re needed on the bridge,” He managed to finally say what he needed to say before quickly turning and leaving the room.
When Kirk took the liberty of retelling the story to (Y/N) the next morning, she was mortified.
The large alien hisses to one of his henchmen in a language (Y/N) doesn’t understand and then another one of them steps forward. In a tone that seemed to be unsure of the words he was saying, he started,
“Our studies show that typically when one human likes another, the feeling is reciprocated,”
“Spock is not human,” (Y/N) couldn’t help but laugh before correcting herself, “Well, not all human.”
“Then you have no reason to protect him.”
“That’s not how feelings even work! Not human ones! I admire him and I will protect him but I do not expect any such action from him. Just as I don't expect a sunset to admire me back or for the stars to gaze back at me! Feelings are not about reciprocity!”
“This does not align with our intel,” The big alien was clearly angry, and (Y/N) had a strong feeling that things would not go well from here but as she said she would do her best to protect Spock.
“Regardless of your intel,” (Y/N) scoffed, “Commander Spock has much more important things to do than worry about me or what I’m doing so. I’m of no use to you. Let me go.”
Why did she never know when to shut up?
The large alien’s face stretched into what (Y/N) had to assume was his version of a grin but looked more like he was preparing to eat her. She wouldn’t doubt it if she was being honest.
“If you are of no use for giving information, you can be put to other uses, Doctor.”
            “What? Wait!”
The guard to her right started to lead her back toward the door they came through and (Y/N) began to struggle.
“Take her to the nursery, the larvae must be fed,” The big alien ordered with a loud cracking laugh. Just as (Y/N) yanked harshly away from the guard pulling her, the guard to her left took firm hold of her arm once more but instead of leading her forward, he tugged her back into him. Suddenly, he pulled a phaser and shot the other guard. Crying out in fear, (Y/N) struggled once more to get away from this rogue guard as the henchmen began to make their way over to stop him. The guard removed his hood and revealed his face.
“Commander!” (Y/N) gasped and her cheeks reddened. Everyone paused for a brief moment of shock before the big alien roared for his henchmen and guards to seize the two star fleet officers. Spock shot a few more before looking down at (Y/N) with an almost unnoticeable smirk.
“Hello, Sweetie,” He said before moving his grip from (Y/N)’s arm to her hand and pulling her to a run. (Y/N)’s face was warm and it was not because of the running. She couldn’t help but laugh as they ran through the corridors, dodging phasers and guards. “We have to get to the front entrance. That’s the only place Scotty can beam us up!” Spock shouted over his shoulder.
            “Right!”
They ran until they reached the front room. Standing in the middle of the room was not the best option but they were only there for a moment before they both felt the familiar feeling of being beamed up to the transport room. Upon their arrival, Spock immediately ushered (Y/N) toward the awaiting Doctor Bones.
“I’m fine! Just a few cuts and bruises. Nothing I haven’t had before,” (Y/N) tried to wave the grouchy Doctor away but he swatted her hands away and then removed the cuffs.
“I’ll be the judge of that, cupcake. You look like you caught on fire.” He was gesturing to the hem of her dress.
“I think for a moment I did,” (Y/N) laughed while Bones shook his head.
“All right, you’re free to go. You too, Spock.”
Bones finally released the two, though he had told Spock that he could leave about twenty minutes ago. The Vulcan had refused. Spock and (Y/N) walked side by side in silence for a while before Spock broke it.
            “You have misread me.”
(Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows and looked up at her Commander who was still looking straight ahead. “What do you mean, Commander?”
“My feelings about you. You have misread them.”
Her eyes widened. In the chaos of escape, she had forgotten that Spock was standing right next to her when she basically saying she loved him. Okay, slight exaggeration but she still felt embarrassed.
“Oh.” That was all she said. All she could say. Another time of silence passed.
“I apologize if my actions suggested that I do not enjoy your company,” Spock was deliberate with his words as if he didn’t know if what he was saying was the right thing. The tips of his ears were tinged a faint green when he finally paused in his step to look at (Y/N). She noticed the blush on his ears and couldn’t help the small smile that snuck onto her face.
“So, you like to hang out with me?”
“Well, I’ve never accompanied you in a social setting so it would be illogical for me to say that I like something that I have not tried.”
            (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
“However, I do enjoy working with you. You are very good at your job, Doctor (L/N),” Spock clasped his hands behind his back so that (Y/N) would not see him picking at his cuticles. He was nervous.
            “(Y/N).”
            “Pardon?”
“Call me (Y/N). Outside of work obviously,” (Y/N) shrugged and looked away from Spock’s intense gaze.
“(Y/N).” She could’ve melted at the way her name sounded coming from his lips. It was experimental and a bit rigid sounding but it was a start. She finally looked back into Spock’s eyes and smiled brightly.
“Do you want to go get dinner with me, Spock? I’m starving,” (Y/N) resumed her walk, this time in the direction of the cafeteria. She heard Spock’s steps fall in line with hers.
“I highly doubt that you are starving. You always attend normal meal times which means you must have eaten this morning,” Spock said in a matter-of-fact tone. (Y/N) laughed and shook her head.
            “It’s an expression, Spock.”

imagine getting spock to relax
Tumblr media
The crowd of Klingons gathered around the Vulcan, cheering him on his non-Vulcan ways. You slumped against the canteen, watching as Spock downed a another helping of blood wine. His attempt to partake in the crowd's grunts of celebration made you smile.
Anything Spock did made you smile.
As the crowd died down and everyone began to converse, you pushed away from the bar and walked over to the him. His eyes caught yours and for a brief moment, you thought witness a hint of softness in them.
"Enjoying yourself, Spock?"
"Indeed."
Smiling, you attempted to look into his mug and he quickly went for a refill when your face dropped. He said not a word as you thanked him and gently took the mug from his; fingers touching his, Spock's jawline tensed.
You lifted the mug to cover the smile on your face - the wine was bitter but the after taste was sweet. "Not bad."
"Human's enjoying drinking."
His statement received a nod from you. "You're human too, Spock. You should enjoy yourself."
The Vulcan stood taller and gazed around the crowd before his eyes landed on you; the beating of your heart intensified when he wouldn't look away. When it seemed like he had something important to say, the inner fighting of his human and Vulcan side on full display. Until everything seemed to stop and his facial expression gave away to clarity and resolve.
"I suppose it would be beneficial to partake in human behaviors."
Laughing, you reached a hand to his shoulder and gave it a squeeze, to which his body seemed to relax under. "Believe me, Spock, human's aren't the only ones that enjoy drinking. So, shall we?"
Spock seemed to smile - as much as a Vulcan could smile and motioned to the canteen with his hand. "We shall."

Who's Being Unreasonable?
Tumblr media
Who's to say you're the one being unreasonable? Even if you are... still it's rude to point that out.
I have an unreasonable (but entirely logical) amount of love and obsession for this Vulcan.
Word Count: 795
It had started out simply enough. A minuscule disagreement about nothing in particular... that was until...
"Y/N, you are being unreasonable."
The match had been struck. You'd stormed out of your shared quarters with Spock, determined to give him the cold shoulder until he saw fit to apologize for the perceived slight. Begrudgingly you admitted to yourself that it really was ludicrous to hold onto a grudge, but it was the principle of the thing... or at least that's what you told herself as you placed the PADD on her desk and leaned back in your chair, stewing over the argument.
Alright, it would be an exaggeration to classify it as an argument. It had been more of a difference of opinions. A difference of opinions that had devolved into a disagreement. A disagreement that had devolved into Spock calling you unreasonable. You bristled at the thought, the 'wound' still fresh in your mind.
"I'm not being unreasonable." You grumbled to herself, leaning forward in your chair at the light knock on your office door.
"Counselor." Spock opened the door and stepped inside.
"Commander." You said cooly, picking up the PADD and turning your attention to a behavioral study you were following. You knew that he was standing there watching you. And you knew that it was infantile and petty to give him the silent treatment, but darn it, you couldn't bring herself to swallow your pride and admit that you were wrong.
"Counselor, it may have escaped your notice, but it seems that you haven't consumed adequate nutrients today." Her lips twitched at his concern, but you quickly cleared your throat and glanced at him.
"It hasn't escaped my notice, Commander." Your tone was calm as you turned your eyes back to the PADD. Spock raised a brow at your childish behavior.
"You require nourishment, Y/N." You sighed and put the PADD down.
"I understand what my body needs, Commander." You sighed and put the PADD down, meeting his eyes in challenge.
"It would seem, Counselor, that you indeed, do not." His gaze met yours calmy, his tone neutral but firm.
"I suppose you're going to tell me that I'm being unreasonable again." You folded your arms.
"Logically speaking, you are indeed behaving in an unreasonable manner. It is irrational to deny yourself nutrition simply because you are angry." Your face turned red.
"Commander, whether I eat or not is my own personal business. You needn't concern yourself."
"I would be a negligent partner if I didn't ensure your wellbeing." Spock looked at you pointedly. You felt your face flush in shame.
"I'll eat."You said quietly, leaning back in the chair, refusing to meet his eyes. He looked at you for a moment longer before nodding.
"Very well." He turned to leave, pausing mid-step and turned to study her. "I'll see you this evening in our quarters." You nodded without meeting his eyes, relaxing when you heard the door shut. Sighing, you promptly headed for the nearest replicator.
That Evening
If you hadn't just checked the environmental controls, you would've sworn that the temperature in the room was several degrees colder than usual. You and Spock sat up in bed reading. While neither of you had ever been much for cuddling, all the same, the gap between you was especially noticeable. Placing his PADD on the nightstand, he turned to look at you.
"It's approximately twenty-three hundred hours. Is it acceptable for me to turn the lights off?" You sighed and put your own PADD on your nightstand.
"Yeah, that's fine."
"Computer, dim light settings to an acceptable kelvin for sleeping." The lights slowly dimmed, leaving you in a dark silence. "Good night, Y/N." Spock said simply, rolling over and pulling the covers up to his ears. You lay silently in the darkness for an indeterminable amount of time before his voice broke the silence again. "I care deeply for you, ashayam."
That did it.
You scooted closer until you were almost pressed against his back and lightly kissed his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, ashayam." You whispered against his skin. Spock hummed and rolled onto his back.
"In light of our reconciliation, it would seem appropriate to engage in physical closeness. You fought a smile and rested your head on his shoulder, lacing your fingers through his.
"It would be most appropriate." With an affirmative sound he brushed his lips against your temple. "Good night, mon étoile."
"I'm not certain I'll ever understand your propensity for terms of endearment in a language neither of us are proficient in."
"Maybe I get it from my father." You chuckled kissing his shoulder again. "Go to sleep."
"Good night, mon ciel étoilé." He said quietly. You smirked to yourself and let his steady heartbeat lull you to sleep.
(If you noticed that Y/N is Q coded, then you get a cookie!)

A Vulcan Smile Part Seven
[Part One] [Part Two] [Part Three] [Part Four] [Part Five] [Part Six]
Tumblr media
Jim looked up from his computer as the door to his ready room swished open. He had stolen away to the ship to get some much-needed quiet to review his notes before his next meeting. A quiet he was surprised to see emanating from his best friend as he made his way across the room.
Leonard typically preferred to make his presence in a room known, entering with a joke or a complaint or some kind of combination of the two. Now he took a seat across from Jim in complete silence. The captain looked him over, trying to identify where this change was coming from. He wore crumpled shirt and an unreadable expression.
"Is that the same uniform as yesterday?" Jim finally asked.
"Didn't have time to change."
"You've been off duty for twelve hours, Bones. How long does it take? You wear the same thing everyday," Jim pointed out.
"I was helping Joanna with her homework and then," Leonard's voice dropped slightly, "I was with (Y/N)."
Jim’s brows raised. "Were you?"
"Apologizing," Leonard clarified.
"And what did you do that required you to apologize all night long?" Jim's words tiptoed around innuendo.
"Joanna was suspended for starting a fight."
"So you were apologizing for your part in bringing another angry McCoy into the universe," Jim guessed.
"I didn't react well to the news," Leonard admitted. "Started a fight of my own."
"That doesn't sound like you," Jim said sarcastically.
“I blamed her. Told her that Joanna was picking up violant tendencies from her,” Leonard explained.
Jim let out a disappointed breath. He didn’t know you well, but he had heard so much about you through long winded, sporadic rants from Leonard that he could guess how well that went over. He certainly knew enough about people in general to know that wasn’t something you said to someone who cared gor your child.
“She blamed me. Told me Joanna was acting out because she’s hurt that I left and doesn’t know how to express it.” Leonard slumped back in the chair. “Apparently I don’t put in enough effort as a father.”
“Well,” Jim started pointedly. He raised his brows and tilted his head, hoping if he made a strong enough facial expression he wouldn’t have to finish the thought out loud.
“When were you planning to tell me you though I was a bad father?”
Jim let out a breathy chuckle at his friends dramatics. “I don’t think you’re a bad father. I think that (Y/N) spends a lot of time with Joanna and if she thinks she’s feeling a little abandoned then she might know what she’s talking about.”
Leonard sighed. “I know.”
“What are you going to do about it?”
“I already apologized.”
This earned Leonard a look that told him he needed to do better than that.
“I suppose I don’t really have a choice.”
“Not if you ever want to be able to respect yourself again.”
Leonard groaned and rubbed a hand across his face. “I’m not cut out for this.”
“You said the same thing the first time you had to work on a ship. Now look at you.”
“Now look at me,” Leonard repeated in a defeated tone.
“You know-” Jim waited until his friend was looking at him again to finish, “Centaurus isn’t that far out of our way.”
“Oh no.” Leonard shook his head and held up a hand. “This ship is on red alert every other thursday. My eleven year old isn’t going to be involved in that.”
“We’d be taking a similar course to the shuttle. Any dangers we run into they’d probably run into too. Wouldn’t you prefer she run into them with you?”
“I’d rather she not be in space at all, but seeing as I wasn’t given a choice in that…” Leonard trailed of, thinking it over. “You wouldn’t mind the detour?”
“Not at all.”
“You know letting my daughter and Spock’s sister loose on this ship might lead to more chaos than we’re prepared for.”
Jim shook his head. “Spock’s gonna hate this.”
“You don’t have to convice me, Jim. I’m alread on board.”
-
“Tell me again,” Leonard ordered as he walked with Joanna to the Enterprise.
“The warp core, jefferies tubes, and bridge are off limits. If red lights start flashing I am to stay in my room. If I hear the word ‘anomoly’ over the comms, I am to find you in the sickbay. If I see more than five people in uniform running in the halls I am to find Ms. Grayson and wait for the all clear. No wandering the halls or entering the recreation deck or holodeck alone. No fun of any kind,” Joanna rattled off.
“Good. Stick to those rules and you should make it back home in one piece.”
“Can’t I have a little fun?”
“Being a passenger on the Enterprise is-”
“Not a reward for punching my classmate even if he is a shithead and desereved it,” she parroted the words he’d used when he explained the arrangement to her. “I’ve gotten like two lectures a day since I was suspended, thrown up on during a shuttle ride here, and given four times the calc homework I would normally have. Haven’t I been punished enough?”
“We’re not punishing you. We’re making sure you’ve learned your lesson. We don’t want you to turn into a violent drop out with no direction in life and a long arrest record.”
“You’re say ‘we’ a lot about you and Ms. Grayson,” she pointed out.
“Oh look! Lieutenant Uhura.” Leonard quickly changed the subject, coming to a stop outside the air lock where the Lieutenant was standing. “Waiting for Spock?”
“He’s just saying goodbye.” She nodded over to where he stood with you and Serek.
“Good might be a stretch,” Leonard mumbled.
“Who are they talking to?” Joanna asked.
“The Vulcan ambassador,” Nyota answered.
“They don’t seem to like him.”
“It’s a complicated relationship,” she said, watching the three of you hold up Vulcan salutes.
As the ambassador turned and boarded another ship, you folded down you pinky and ring finger and lifted your raised fingers to your temple. Your head jerked to the side as you pretended to shoot yourself in the head. To Leonard's suprise, Spock used his hand to wipe your imaginary blood from the side of his face.
The two of you walked in silence to meet the others. You both had your hands clasped behind your back, but as you got closer yours moved to swing at your side.
Uhura watched the way Leonard smiled and then stiffened awkwardly as you approached.
“Come on let’s get out of here before Spock and I are used as a visual aid in another debate about the future of the Vulcan race,” you said when you reach them. “If I get called V’tosh ka’tur one more time, I’m going to start throwing things.”
“That kind of behavior is exactly why they call you V’tosh ka’tur,” Spock pointing out.
“Don’t call your sister a Vulcan without logic, Spock,” Uhura chastised.
“Thank you. Wanting to throw things at those stuffy, xenophobic elders is completely logical,” you argued. “And besides they call you V’tosh ka’tur too.”
Spock mouth dropped open. “I am not V’tosh ka’tur. I follow the ancestral teachings.”
“But you stink like a human.”
“You are using nasal supresants. You don’t know what I smell like.”
Leonard leaned forward and took a wiff. “No, she’s right. Just like a human.”
You smiled at the doctor. “This is going to be a fun little trip.”
Joanna grinned. Spock’s jaw tightened.

Wearing Lingerie For Spock
Tumblr media
*swings in on a vine in a faux fur bikini* Here, I wrote this imagine/headcanon just because I could. *swings away*
Warnings: Smutty, but not full on smut. Smut adjacent, if you will.
-----------------------------
‐You might think Spock would find lingerie illogical, but you'd be wrong
-Very wrong
-See, Spock is still part human male, and that means he has needs; and he's part Vulcan male, which means he still has needs and urges, even if he might sometimes give the impression that he doesn't
-We've seen T'pring with Spock after her proposal; she had on lingerie, and it was beautiful
-And in Spock's dream where his human half fights his Vulcan half, T'Pring is in what I am willing to bet is the Vulcan equivalent of a nightie (again, very beautiful and very sensual)
-So while he was with T'Pring, Spock definitely had some experience with seeing his beloved in lingerie; but now that they're not together and he's with you, he hasn't seen you in lingerie
-And that's a real shame, because you look amazing in lingerie, and you want to see Spock go feral for you; you want to tease this Vulcan, and make him completely lose control and unleash that burning passion that waits just below the thin veneer of complete self-control
-So you plan the perfect evening, on a weekend where you and Spock both have two whole days off (barring an emergency) and you can really take your time to make him go wild
-You go through every piece of lingerie in the clothing replicator options, wanting to choose the perfect piece
-You look through creamy silks and blushing satins, red plunging lace and sheer black mesh; you try on many items, turning this way and that in the mirror, making sure you look and feel sexy before you make your choice
-You're getting a little worried, not finding exactly what you want until you see it , The One®️, the thing that will make you feel like a goddess and will make Spock lose his shit
Tumblr media
-A gorgeous black lace bra and panties, with black garters and stockings; you complete the look with glossy black heels
-The color complements your (skin color) perfectly; the bra hugs your breasts, lifts them and makes them more enticing; and the panties and garters show off your best assets, your curvy ass and thick, wide hips and thighs. Oh, you are going to enjoy teasing and pleasing the Vulcan in this!
-You spend all day getting ready; you clean your quarters, set the table with candles and Spock's favorite Vulcan meal, pour some wine and dim the lights. You put on your best dress, a deep red silky number, and your favorite perfume. The lingerie you'll save for later ;)
-When Spock arrives, you're a little nervous; you've had sex before a few times now, and he's seen you in your bra and panties, but nothing so fancy and sexy as what you have planned for the evening.
-Spock takes one look around the room and at you, and can instantly tell something's up; he's not a moron, and can tell that if you put this much thought and effort into the evening, you must have something special planned.
-But what it is, Spock doesn't really have an idea about; he decides that given the atmosphere and your dazzling appearance, it must be a good surprise, and he decides to just sit back and enjoy it. He always finds himself surprisingly relaxed and happy around you.
-He leans down to give you a deep kiss that steals your breath away. "You are vision of beauty," he compliments you, his dark eyes taking you all in. You blush at how sweet he is. He looks quite handsome in his uniform, as always.
-You two sit down to enjoy the meal, and the wine and conversation flow easily. After finishing the meal, you and Spock move over to the sofa, and Spock moves to pull you down onto his lap, BUT--you put out your hand onto his chest to stop him.
-He quirks an inquisitive brow at you. "Not yet," you say with a sly smile. "I'll be right back." You give him a quick kiss and then disappear into your bedroom.
-Now Spock is really intrigued. He waits patiently, but thankfully he doesn't have to wait long.
-As you take one last look at yourself in the mirror, you are suddenly nervous. What if your super-logical boyfriend finds this silly? What if he doesn't understand why you're doing this? You're briefly embarassed, but then you take a deep breath, tell yourself that Spock is going to flip, and make your way into the living room.
-When the doors to your bedroom open and you finally step out, Spock's jaw literally drops. He feels his breath leave his lungs as he just drinks in the sight of you wrapped in your sexy lingerie. You needn't have worried.
-Spock eagerly leans forward and his hands actually clench, desperate to touch you. He can't believe what he's seeing, all your beautiful curves hugged by the black lace, supple flesh straining against the flimsy fabric.
-Spock's dick immediately hardens as you sensually make your way over to him. "See something you like?" you tease as you get in front of him. You lean down to where your tits are eye level with him and place your hands on his broad shoulders.
"Y/n," he says your name heatedly, his large hands coming up to grip your waist. He gently but firmly pulls you down on his lap. "What is all of this for?" he says in wonder, his eyes coming up to rest on your face.
-"It's all for you, Spock," you say seductively, leaning forward to give him a better view of your cleavage, which his eyes immediately go back down to. So, the Vulcan, does like lingerie after all, you smirk. You decide to tease him even more, because you know you can get him riled up. All the while, his hands are now roaming over your body, cupping your breasts, tracing the outline of the lace over them with his fingers, squeezing your ass, which is exposed due to the shape of your panties, running down your stockinged thighs and legs.
-You dip your head so your lips are just barely grazing the outer shell of his ear as you whisper, "See, I want you to do anything you want to me. I want you rip this off of me and fuck me until I can't stand up straight." You lick his ear and gently nibble on the pointy tip. Spock sharply inhales at this, and you feel his rock hard dick twitch in his pants.
-He chuckles darkly at your request and says, "Oh, I am nothing if not obliging. I will gladly assist you in this endeavor." You feel a surge of moisture coat your slit and dampen your panties.
-Spock suddenly picks you up effortlessly and throws you on the bed. His eyes are so dark and his gaze so intense you have the fleeting thought that perhaps you'll get more than you bargained for, and that excites you even more.
-Spock undoes your bra with one swift flick of his wrist. You go to take your garters off, but Spock practically growls, "No, keep those on. And the shoes." And with that, he snaps your underwear in half (for which he will apologize profusely later, even though you reassure him it's fine), and proceeds to fuck you for what is literally the rest of the evening. You start on the bed, make your way back to the sofa, then he bends you over the kitchen counter (your shoes fall off at that point, but neither of you care by then), and after that holds you up against the wall. You're not sure how he's still standing by the end of it, except for his Vulcan strength. He is drenched in sweat by the time you two finally collapse, completely spent. As you catch your breath, he turns to you and says, in his deep voice, "Is that everything you desired, ashayam?" You assure him that it was even better than what you imagined.
-From then on, lingerie becomes a routine part of your love life. You introduce Spock to all kinds: lacy nighties, matching bra and panties sets, corsets, crotchless thongs, bodysuits, even themed lingerie (Spock would literally die if anyone ever found out, but for his birthday you wore a cupless bra French maid number, and let's just say, he now requests it regularly, and he would find it illogical, except that seeing how sexy you are in it, he finds it perfectly logical that he wants you in it so much)
-You have tried every color and pattern imaginable, too: his favorite colors on you are red, black, nude (to match your s/c), and blushing pinks. He can't help it. You look incredible in these and when you go through all the trouble of dressing up for him, he finds it would be incredibly rude to not properly appreciate and admire you, after all.
-He has bought you some items, too, that he has found on various away missions. He can't help but think about what you'll look like for him in it when he picks them out. Anyone else would be shocked to see how much of his yearly expenditures are spent on lingerie.
-You *may* have taken some racy boudoir photos for him to look at when he is horny misses you. He actually thanked you every day for a month, and said they were among his most prized possessions.
-You are a complete tease and will purposefully wear stockings and garters under your short skirts, making sure to bend over in front of the commander (not where anyone else could see, of course). Which results in disciplinary action against you, if you know what I mean ;)
-"Lt. Y/n, I must discuss an urgent matter with you in Holodeck 5." (The urgent matter is his boner.)
-You will also shamelessly innocently walk into a room in nothing but your uniform skirt, boots, and a lacy bra. "Honey, have you seen my uniform top? I can't seem to find it anywhere." This is of course followed by you bending over unnecessarily to look for it. You walk around, making sure your curves are *jiggling*, as you sigh dramatically.
-This ends with Spock eyeing you the entire time, walking over to you, reaching behind you onto the counter, and handing you your top, which he knows damn good and well you left there on purpose. "Would you like me to assist you in putting on your uniform, y/n?"
-"Oh, thank you, Commander." Which results in you not getting your top on, but in the rest of your clothes coming off. It delights you to no end that the great, stoic, intelligent Spock is completely obsessed with you in skimpy lingerie.

Two Hearts, Eight Words
Plot: Though not entirely versed on the traditions of Valentines Day, Spock does know it often includes two things. A gift, and a confession.
Pairing: Spock x Gn!Reader (short-term established relationship)
Requests: "I think I am in love with you." + Him not understanding it but going like “It’s custom for your species to do something on this specified date so I got this for you”
Requested By: @anonymousewrites and @oneshortstack
Warnings: I tried to be neutral with the gift he gives the reader, but if bracelets aren't your thing I'm sorry!~ Use of Y/n once or twice. A mention of "drinks" but no alcohol is mentioned specifically. Kissing towards the end.
Words: 1.1k

Spock stood outside your quarters for a few moments as he rehearsed what he was going to say in his head. It was not often he felt nervous, but you often tended to bring it out in him, even after you had entered into a relationship.
Finally making his presence known, he waited patiently for you to open the door. As it slid open, revealing you, he felt his heart jolt when you grinned at him.
"Hello Spock."
He bowed his head sligthly "Y/n." Looking past you to make sure you were alone he met your eyes again "May I come in?"
"Of course." You said as you stepped aside.
As you watched Spock walk into your room, you noted he seemed a bit more stiff than usual. Turning to face you, his face was more stern as well.
"Is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine, I'm not disturbing your work am I?"
You shook your head "You never do Spock."
A small smile seemed to cross his face momentarily before he spoke "I believe, back on Earth it is the holiday Valentines Day."
As he said this, you felt your heart jolt a little, you had realized this, but you did not expect anything since Spock was often not aware of human holidays.
"Yes, it is."
"You seem surprised I know that."
You chuckled softly "Well I wasn't sure you'd ever really heard about it."
He quirked his brow "These past few days it has been impossible to escape it. I've heard most of the human crew members discussing it. Though, I did also now about it beforehand."
"If you are worried I'm expecting something, you don't have to do anything." You said with a reassuring smile, not knowing if he cared to celebrate at all.
He quirked his head slightly "In the past when Vulcan holidays or traditions are common, you often go out of your way to help me celebrate them. I wish to do the same for you. For Valentines Day, it’s custom for human to do something on this specified date, so I got this for you”
You watched as he pulled something from behind his back, a thin rectangular box held closed with a ribbon
"Oh." You took it gently as he handed it to you, your breath caught in your throat for a moment. "Thank you Spock."
Opening the box, you revealed a delicate bracelet with a beautiful orange stone.
Spock saw your face light up and could tell you liked it. "It was made on Vulcan, I thought you might appreciate it's beauty and craftsmanship."
"It's amazing Spock, thank you." You grinned at him as you took it out of the box.
Spock stepped forward, taking the bracelet from you as he gently held up your wrist with his other had. You smiled as he placed it around your wrist himself. When he was done, he locked eyes with you and smiled.
Stepping forward, you pressed a kiss to his cheek "Thank you."
"You are welcome Y/n." He said softly, his voice sending a light shiver up your spine. "I hope you are also free for dinner, I wish to dine with you as well."
You smiled and nodded "I'd love that too."
"Our usual time?"
You nodded "Yes."
--- ---
A few hours later, after Spock had left you and gone back to his station, you finished your work, all the while, anticipating your dinner with him.
You decided last minute to get him flowers. You were not sure what he would really think of them, but you hoped he would appreciate the gesture. Especially since he decided to do something for you.
Heading towards his quarters, flowers in hand, you received some amused and knowing looks from other crew members, as well as a cheesy joke from Erica.
As you stood outside his door, your eyes cast down at the bracelet you had put back on. You smiled as your heart fluttered in your chest.
When the door slid open, revealing Spock, you grinned at him as you handed him the flowers.
"These are for you."
Spock looked at the flowers as he took them, blinking a few times before you saw his lip quirk. As he looked back into his quarters, you followed his line of sight, spotting flowers sitting on the table.
"We seemed to have the same idea."
You grinned as he gestured for you to come inside. Walking over to the bouquet of lilies he got you, you smiled before you looked at him again "Thank you, they're beautiful."
"And thank you. I have never received flowers as a gift." He said as he stared down at the orchids you got him.
You felt a blush crawl across your cheeks, but amusement lined your face.
"That's a shame, everyone should at least once."
He met your eyes and hummed lightly, as if thinking about your comment. Turning he looked over to the dining table wear he had prepared dinner. "Shall we eat?"
You nodded and smiled as you followed him to the table.
Once you had finished eating, you sat on the floor side by side, drinks on the table as you talked. Spock, who held your hand in his, gently caressed his thumb over your skin. After a moment of silence, he spoke softly as if thinking over his words carefully.
"If I am correct, it is often that on Valentines Day, people confess their feelings to others."
You nodded "Yes, it's how many first dates happen and its the beginning of a lot of relationships too."
"We are already in a relationship."
You giggled softly "Yes, we are."
"Yet I still wish to tell you."
You tilted your head as you eyed him, your ears burning a little. "Tell me what?"
His eyes finally left your hand and met yours. He stared at you in silence for a moment before he spoke, his voice deep, but soft "I think I am in love with you."
You felt your heartbeat pick up as your breath caught in your throat for a moment. Your ears and neck burned as your chest tightened.
"And are you okay with that?" You spoke slowly, somewhat weary of his answer
Slowly a smile spread across his face "Yes, I am."
A smile crossed your face as well as you let out a soft breath "That's good, because I think I'm in love with you too."
Spock's head tilted a bit as he lifted his hand, gently caressing your cheek before he placed his fingers under your chin. Leaning towards each other, your lips touched softly as you kissed. Pulling away for a second, you kissed again deeper and longer this time.
Pulling away after a few more moments, your eyes locked as you smiled at him "Thank you for celebrating Valentines Day with me."
"Thank you for allowing me to share it with you." He replied smoothly before he pulled you in for another kiss.
xx End xx
Ending fics smoothly is the bane of my existence, it's so hard lol. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed~ Reblogs are highly appreciated, Likes and comments as well <3

You knew Spock had feelings, all Vulcans did, they just didn't show them in a way humans, or most species, were used to, preferring to be guided by logic.
Your problem was that you didn't know whether Spock had feelings for you.
And you had no idea how to figure it out, without potentially making a fool of yourself. He didn't exactly wear his heart on his sleeve.
You were both working late, studying the artefact retrieved from the last away mission, and you couldn't stop watching him as he worked next to you at the table.
It took you a minute to realise you were even doing it, too tired and too distracted, until Spock turned to you, feeling your eyes on him.
"Are you alright?" He asked, causing you to sit up straight suddenly, feeling your cheeks heat up.
"Me? Er yeah, fine, just a little tired," you tried, mentally kicking yourself for how unconvincing you sounded.
"The tone of your voice indicates that you are no being entirely honest," Spock devised, placing the scanner he had in his hand down to give you his full attention, "if something is bothering you, you can tell me."
You hadn't anticipated doing this here and now, but you could tell that Spock was not going to let it go until you were honest with him.
"I've just, been thinking," you began, not really sure how to phrase this.
Spock raised one eyebrow, "thinking? About what?" He turned on his chair so his whole body was facing towards you.
"Vulcans and their... feelings," god, you were failing at this miserably.
"Our emotions?" He asked slowly and you nodded, "why the sudden curiosity?
"Forget I said anything," you replied quickly, feeling your cheeks heating up as you walked away.
"I can see from your embarassed reaction that I might have something wrong," Spock tried to deduce, angling his head slightly as he watched you.
"No, you haven't Spock, I mean it isn't-" you blabbed hopelessly, seeing no way out of the ginormous hole you dug for yourself.
Spock studied you for a moment, and then when you felt like you couldn't take his eyes burning into you any longer, what appeared to be a look of realisation passed over his face.
"Ah," he said, "I believe I know what this is about."
"You- you do?" You blinked, unsure of where this was going. You'd known Spock a long time, and the last thing you wanted to do was ruin your friendship.
"Yes," Spock said matter-of-factly, but then said nothing further for a long stretch of a moment.
"... and?" You prompted, not wanting to be the one to fill in the blanks in case you were wrong.
"And you are wondering if I have feelings for you," he told you, watching as you took a sharp inhale of breath. His statement had given nothing away.
"Spock-" you began, hoping to explain yourself in a way that would salvage his conversation.
"I do," he cut you off, and you felt the tension that had been building disipate instantly.
"You do?? You doublechecked, voice quieter than you'd intended.
"Yes, I believed that was obvious," he informed you, "we have been spending a lot of timetogether, working yes, but also eating together and spending time alone together for the sake of enjoying each other's company."
That was true, and it was when you'd developed feelings for him too, learning about each other, opening up to each other, finding out what you had in common...
He noticed your confused pause, and continued, "I can see now that this was not as obvious as I had previously thought, I apologise, on Vulcan-"
"No, it's okay Spock," you smiled, feeling a little silly, "I thought maybe, you know, that you did, but I didn't want to think I was reading into things the wrong way."
"I assure you, you were not," Spock promised, putting a hand on yours. You squeezed his hand, very much relieved
"Might I also assume," he added after a pause, "that this means you have feelings for me also?"
"Huh?" It took you a second to realise what he was asking, before you laugh, "oh, yes, yes I do."
"Good," he nodded, the corners of his lips twitching into what you would consider a smile for him, "because that would have made this rather awkward if not."
Before you could ask what this he was referring to, he leaned in and kissed you.

It’s All Coming Back to Me Now (Spock x Female Reader)
Version 1
Word count: 1,067
A/N: this takes place after Spock returns to the Enterprise after coming back to life. Reader is his wife, and is exhausted from trying to help him remember their life together, and contemplates divorce. I have 2 versions, one where Spock is more calm to the news, and one where he is slightly more confrontational(no violence don’t worry).
T/W: slight smut at the end, 18+
Tumblr media
Y/n: My heart was conflicted at the thought of divorcing my husband. On the one hand, I wouldn’t have to deal with the stress of him not remembering our life together. However, on the other hand, I was devastated to lose my T’hy’la. I knew that I was being illogical and letting my human emotions get the best of me, but I was tired of crying. I cried when Spock died, I cried when he came back, and I cried when I showed him our family photo album.
Suddenly, the doorbell to our quarters chimes. “Come in,” I say.
Spock walks in. “Hello, wife,” he says, voice monotone, almost sad.
I reply simply, “hello, Spock.”
He sits down on a chair across from me. “I have overheard that you have been thinking of a koon’ut’kal’if’fee. May I ask why?” He asks.
I swallow hard. How can I tell him my reasoning without upsetting him? Even though he was still half Vulcan and half human, his human side was more dominant since he was resurrected. “Honestly, Spock, I’ve just been struggling with this. I know you can’t help that you can’t remember anything, but I’m having a really hard time telling you all of our memories. I know I should be grateful that you are alive, which I am, but I’m just having a hard time accepting things how they are. I-I’m sorry.” Tears well up in my eyes.
His expression softens. “Please, do not be sorry for how you feel. If this is really what you want, I can get in touch with the Vulcan council tomorrow. I just want you to be happy.”
Happy… that broke me. Would this really make me happy? At the current moment, I can neither live with or without Spock. “C-can I have some time to think before we make any decisions?” I ask.
“Of course. I would not want to make a decision unless you are certain,” Spock simply replies.
“Good.” I throw on my jacket. “I’ll probably be out late, so don’t wait up for me.” Maybe I can clear my mind on the observation deck.
—————————————————————
Spock: Y/n was right in saying she would be out late. At around 22:00, I decide to head to bed. Yes, I was saddened by the possibility of divorce, for I had gotten used to having her around. Wether or not I had any previous memory of her, I still found her very pretty and kind.
Sleep comes easy at first, but then becomes littered with vivid dreams. The first dream, y/n and I are stuck on a foreign planet, and are forced to share a sleeping bag to keep warm. Her small body fitting like a puzzle piece against my chest.
In the next dream, I’m experiencing Pon Farr. Y/n mates- makes love- with me, giving me her virginity. I am filled with an excitement and love I have never felt. Y/n looking like a beautiful goddess, I wish this dream would continue.
Finally, a bitter dream fills me. Y/n is pounding on a glass wall, crying and repeating my name. I soon realize this is my death, risking my life so that everyone aboard the Enterprise would be safe.
“I remember!” I wake up in a gasp. I had not just experienced dreams, but in fact, memories. Y/n, she is not only my wife, but my Ashayem. It’s all coming back to me now.
I jump out of bed, and run to y/n’s room. I knock on her door and wait. After a moment of no response I knock again. The door opens, revealing a sleepy y/n.
Y/n: “Spock, it’s four in the morning. What do you want?” I ask, rubbing sleep from my eye.
“Ashayem, sit with me,” he says, leading me to the bed.
I obey, and sit on the bed, asking, “ what’s this about?”
“I remember,” Spock says.
“Remember what?” I ask.
“Ashayem, I remember everything,” he states. His voice sounding more like his old self.
Could it be true? Could I really have my husband, my logical, Vulcan dominant husband back?
“Okay, what names did we have picked out when we decided to have children?” I test him.
“We decided on T’Ral, if we had a son,” he begins. For a daughter we agreed on Sh’vha.”
“Alright,” I breathe. “Where were we the first time we made love?”
I could see the slightest smirk on his face, the first smirk I’ve seen since before he died. “We we’re on Vulcan, of course. I was experiencing Pon Farr. I risked death or you risked losing me to my betrothed if we did not mate. You were willing to give me your virginity and be my bride just so that I wouldn’t die. For that I am forever grateful… no matter how illogical it is for me to feel such way.”
“Oh Spock!” I hug his neck. “You really are back!” A tear falls from my cheek. “Oh, T’hy’la!”
Spock: I gaze deep into her eyes, and I allow myself some vulnerability. “Oh, Ashayem,” I take her hand in mine, with a passionate Vulcan kiss. I have longed for her touch for too long. Y/n leans in to share a human kiss, that is just as passionate. The combination of both kisses fills me with a deep longing. It had been a long time since y/n and I had been intimate, and I could tell she was longing for me just the same.
Y/n undresses for me, and I do the same for her.
“Are you ready for me, Ashayem?” I ask, climbing on top of her.
She nods, “ just as ready as the first time we made love.” She smiles and kisses me.
I slide inside her, knowing that she will always be my beautiful bride, my Ashayem.
We share the most passionate night of love making we have ever experienced, when we are interrupted by our alarms going off.
Y/n gasps, “I forgot I had duty today!”
“Do not worry, Ashayem. You get cleaned up, and I’ll tell the captain you cannot make it today, and I shall spend the morning cuddling with you, just like we used to,” I reply.
She kisses me once more. “You’re the best Vulcan husband a woman could have.”
“And I suppose I must be the happiest Vulcan alive,” I reply, hooking my fingers with hers.

Done All Wrong
Spock x FemReader
Tumblr media
An: uh...this didn't quite go as expected so I'm sorry lol. By time noticed it was off subject it was too late soooo I deciced to go ahead and finish it. But don't worry I'm working on a fic more on subject to what you requested! 😭
Request: Spock x Reader where reader works under Spock and is terrified/attracted to him and thinks he hates her bc of his blunt Vulcan behavior? But in the end discovers he secretly is attracted to her and feels protective of her.
Warnings: embarrassing situations, anxiety, and some adult language.
Summary: You have a certain pointy earred alien on your mind for multiple reasons. You should hate him like he hates you but you can't bring yourself to. Much to your dismay and embarrassing moments ensue as a result.
You sigh staring at the specimen in front of you. A boring plain leafed plant from one of the recent expeditions. Ordinary nothing special. Quite lackluster and disappointing. Not someone anybody would care for. Someone? Gosh you need a break, this is getting sad. Projecting your angst on to a poor little plant is defiantly a new low. You shake your head and sigh running a hand over your face. A few of your fellow science officers send concerned glances your way. You flush slightly embarrassed.
'I need to get back to work,' you think. You know that you can't keep pushing of your work because of your silly angst. Especially since Sp- he would notice. 'Don't need to give him a reason to nag me.' Well not like you'd have to give him one. Lately it seems all he can do is nag and belittle you. Critiquing each and every little thing that you do. And yet you still lov-
"Ugggh, get it together lieutenant and stop acting like a child." You groan under your breath aggravated.
You pick up your pad and look at the plant to continue your observations. Aroma? Earthy and warm. Size? 11.9 inches. Form? Stalky lean. Leaf shape? Spatulate. Flower color? You lean forward, silly black blossom. Your heart races but you take a deep breath and continue. Leaf color? A lovely shade of green. It reminds you of the faint flush of-
"Is everything alright?"
"!" You let out a gasp and whip around. And of course wouldn't you know it, it's the last person you'd want to see. The object of your frustration and affections, Spock.
Spock's eyebrow twitches up. "My apologies I did not intend to frighten you."
"No! No it's fine. I just wasn't expecting you to just show up so sudden is all..." You put a hand over your racing heart. You can feel your cheeks burn with embarrassment. You wish you could just disappear right now. Maybe if you ju-
"Lieutenant, are you well? You have been distracted since you arrived for your shift. Aswell as your excessive sighing and your flush cheeks. Are you sick? If so I will have to implore you to go to sick bay." Spock admonishes you.
"I- I am not sick! I admit I'm distracted but...It's not- I'm not sick." You stammer. You can't believe he's calling you out like this, so loud and very public. It's humiliating. Your can't even look him in the eyes anymore. Because you're certain if you did he'd peer into your mind and learn as to why you been so distracted. You'd rather die then for him to find out. He's already cruel enough. Gosh, how could this get any worse?
And you to your horror you realize, quite easily is the answer. While avoiding his burning yet apathetic gaze you notice your coworkers glancing at the scene. Judging and knowingly. Some whispering, some pointing. They all know. They know why. They can tell. Your feelings. Oh my god...Oh god...Oh god-
Spock either doesn't notice your panic or doesn't care because he continues to chew you out. "Are you certain? Because it appears you are flushing even worse now. But if you are not sick would you care to explain your actions? Particularly talking to the plant you are supposed to be inspecting. That is certainly not an action a healthy and sane person would take. Perhaps you need to see a counselor or be reliev-"
"Just stop!" You snap you can't help it. You're so overwhelmed. Everything is too much. All the eyes looking at you. And him. Why does he have to hate you so much. Why... Oh god and now you've yelled at him! You've just made this into an even bigger scene. Thank god there's not too many people in the labs this late at night. But everyone will soon hear about this...oh god you're fucked.
You begin to tear up. You look into his eyes finally. His eyebrows are raised almost holding an expression of shock and maybe concern? Who are you kidding as if he could care. Even if he could care he'd definitely not care for you.
"Why? Why do you hate me so...so-" you're cut off by a small cry that escapes. You quickly throw a hand over your mouth to stop any more from escaping. Tears begin to run down your face. You panic, you need to get out as soon as possible and spare yourself any further embarrassment. You dash out of the labs. Leaving behind a shocked and confused Spock.
°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°••~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°
"I simply do not understand why she was upest."
"You don't understand why she was upset? You don't- My god how could someone so smart be so stupid!" Leonard McCoy exclaims exasperated.
"You think that I am smar-"
"That is not the point you pointy eared hobgoblin! Goodness gracious...look." McCoy sighs and leans forward in his seat giving Spock a tired glare.
"You insulted and embarrassed the poor girl in front of all her lab rat coworkers. Hell if I was her I would have done a whole lot more to you then shout and cry. I'd give ya what for." McCoy states plainly punching his palm with his clenched fist.
"I see...it was not my intention to embarrass her nor do I hate her."
"You don't?" McCoy looks at him in disbelief.
"What? Of course I do not hate her nor harbor any ill intentions towards her."
"Goodness Spock... you sure have a way of showing it. Look, I talk to her. We're close and let me tell ya you've been giving her some hell. Ya leave her as ill as a hornet. If you don't hate her then why do ya insist on angering and embarrassing that poor little lady?"
"I- I was unaware I was angering or embarrassing her." Spock says quietly eyebrows furrowed and slightly lowered. Truly he would never wish to upset you. He just wants the best for you and to help you be the best you can be.
"My god...you like her don't you? Heh... Spock you're in deep." McCoy laughs at Spock's expense.
"Please do not tease me. What should I do?"
"Your asking ME for advice? I never thought I'd see the day. My my my you do have it bad."
Spock gets up to leave but is stopped my McCoy's hand that pushes him back into his seat. "Yer not goin anywhere. Sit right there I'm gonna grab some drinks. We're gonna need it."
•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°•~°
"You've got five minutes to explain." You snap at him while leaning in your doorway.
Spock nods, " I am deeply sorry. It was not my intention to anger you or to embarrass you. Nor do I hate you, it is quite the opposite. I- I deeply enjoy your company and I find you fascinating. You make me feel although I do not know how to show it. But I will endeavor to do better if you could forgive me? And if you return my feelings?"
You stand in shock. There is no way this is really happening. "Pinch me."
"No, why would I wish to harm you? Did I not explain well enough I do not wish any form of harm or discomfort to you?" Spock says looking offended and confused.
"Nonono sorry, its just an expression. I just can't believe this is real. I must be dreaming."
"Dreaming?"
"Yes, because there is no way that this is real. That you're basically confessed to liking me and asking me out! No, its too crazy..."
"You are not dreaming. And yes I do 'like you'. I also would not mind if you would allow me to court you."
"I-I really?"
"Indeed." Spock looks at you. Wondering if he's made a mistake. Perhaps you don't feel the same? Or he's hurt you too much. Or any other reason.
"Yes! I mean, yes. I would like that very much. I've liked you for awhile now. Um but just please try not to be so mean?" You say with a bright beaming smile.
"Of course." Spock nods seriously.
"Can I please hug you? I'm just so happy!"
Spock nods and stoops down to wrap you in a gentle hug. You wrap yourself up in his lanky form. Maybe the plant is loveable after all.

Note
I've been binging romcoms with my younger sister and we just finished "To all the boys I have loved before" and now I can't get the idea out of my head: reader writing letters for different starfleet members without intending to send them and suddenly the letters are gone and being sent to their unintended targets (lol, probably Jim did it not knowing that they were not supposed to be read or something). Problem is: our favorite vulcan will too be receiving quite a love letter. Idk, I just thought it was cute, you can ignore if it's too silly ^\\\^
This was such a cute request and I love rom-com-type situations so I ran wild. Also, I'm sorry that this took so long for me to get out I have been busy with school and other annoying responsibilities! I hope you enjoy it!
Title: Message in a Bottle
Pairing: Spock x Kirk!reader
Warnings- none!
Word Count: 4047 my hand slipped
Lieutenant (Y/N) Kirk had been having a totally normal day. She completed her duties on the bridge as normal and had just finished eating dinner with her brother Jim. Now as she headed back to her room, she could not wait to shower, crawl into bed, and enjoy the next few hours of sleep before she had to get up and do everything again. When she entered her room the automated door hissed closed and she was finally completely alone. She took a deep breath and turned the lights in the room on. She almost immediately noticed something that completely ruined her peace.
Earlier that morning, (Y/N) was clearing out her storage closet and had sat a white box full of envelopes on her dining room table so that she would remember to find a new place for them. That box was no longer on the table. Now, one might think why is a missing box of envelopes a big deal? Well, they aren’t. It’s the fact that the envelopes were all properly addressed and full of letters to people she knew that she never intended to send. A few sappy ‘thank you’s to old teachers, a couple to her higher-ups including Captain Christopher Pike – the man who told the Kirk siblings to enroll in Star Fleet Academy. These letters would be slightly embarrassing if they got out but nothing (Y/N) couldn’t handle. After all, everything she wrote in them was true and she appreciates everything those people have done for her. There was only one letter in that whole box that worried (Y/N)—her love letter – a detailed love letter – to one Commander Spock. She cursed herself for writing and keeping a love letter in the first place though she didn’t anticipate the whole box would disappear. She tried to think back to earlier to see if she could remember if she moved it, but when she left her room after lunch it was still on the table and she hadn’t returned since.
“This can’t be happening. It didn’t just sprout legs and walk away!” She said to herself. (Y/N) ran a hand down her face and thought hard. She paused, “No fucking way.” She exited her room at a jog and progressively got faster as she headed toward her brother’s room. She slid to a stop in front of the white door of the captain's quarters and rapidly slammed her fist against it.
“James, open the door right now!”
The door slid open revealing a perplexed – and slightly afraid – Jim Kirk. He knew he had done something wrong for her to be angry enough to come to his room calling him by his full name. Of course, he had no idea what he had done but he decided it was best to try to start off ahead.
“Look, I know you’re upset about-“
“Did you move the white box on my dining room table when you were in my room earlier?”
“Wait, what? That’s what you’re mad about?” Jim scrunched his face up and scratched the top of his head. (Y/N)’s eyes widened and she briefly looked around the corridor before shoving Jim back into his room and following him in. The door shut with a hiss and (Y/N) closed her eyes and took a deep breath in through her nose and out through her mouth. When she opened her eyes Jim was staring at her with a confused expression and his hands crossed over his chest.
“Please, for the love of god, tell me you didn’t mail those letters,” (Y/N) said as calmly as she possibly could. Silence followed her question and she already knew the answer.
            “Well –“
            “Oh. My. God.”
“There was a box of addressed envelopes on the table so I thought you needed them mailed!”
“Jim! Why would you mail someone else's letters? Isn’t that, like, illegal or something?” (Y/N) was absolutely freaking out and, for the life of him, Jim couldn’t understand why.
“I was trying to be nice! I knew you had a long day today and I wanted to take something off your plate! Excuse me for being a good brother,” Jim rolled his eyes at his sister and threw his hands in the air in exasperation.
“Well, jackass, a good brother would have asked before just taking a box from his sister’s room and now there is a love letter headed to your second in command!”
A long pause followed her statement. Jim blinked once. Twice. Then a prolonged third blink.
“What?” Jim had no idea what to say. (Y/N) groaned and ran her hands through her hair in frustration. She began to pace in the entryway and ramble about how dumb she was to write it in the first place and how she should have burned the letters when she had the chance. Jim finally shook his head to rouse himself out of his stunned silence.
“Why the hell would you write a love letter…to Spock? Or to anyone for that matter what is this 1812?” Jim chuckled at his own joke but covered it with a cough when (Y/N) glared at him.
“I don’t know! I like writing letters and I just started writing one day and it turned into a full blown sappy confession that I had planned to keep hidden till the day I died! Now it’s headed off to the last person in the universe who I wanted to see it.”
“Well, maybe this isn’t so bad.”
“I want you to stop talking.”
“No, I’m serious maybe this is what you two need to stop dancing around the obvious!” Jim gestured vaguely with his hands as (Y/N) ceased her pacing. She sighed and shook her head.
“Jim, we’ve been over this: Spock does not feel that way about me. And that’s fine!” (Y/N) and her brother had had many conversations about this subject. Always with Jim insisting that the feelings were mutual and (Y/N) denying that Spock would ever even look at her in that way. I’m his best friend’s little sister and his subordinate, she thought, He’s way too professional for that.
Before Jim could respond, both of their communicators chimed. They were being called back to the bridge for an emergency. They briefly held eye contact before rushing toward the door. As they jogged toward the bridge, (Y/N) continued the conversation.
“Okay did you just mail them today?”
“Why are we still talking about this?”
“Because I want to know how long I have to transfer to another part of the fucking galaxy to avoid embarrassment,” They turned a corner and the lights flickered before flashing red. The ship shuttered and Jim and (Y/N) struggled to regain footing.
“Is it bad that I’m hoping whatever just happened happened to happen to the mail room?”
“Yes. And that was way too many uses of the word ‘happened’.”
Six hours and several shots fired later, the trouble was averted. A rogue Klingon battalion had decided to attack the Enterprise while it was stationary and almost destroyed the engines but quick thinking from Jim, (Y/N), Spock, and Sulu had saved the day. (Y/N) was officially beyond exhausted. She was so tired, in fact, that she forgot about the whole letter situation and went straight to bed after the whole debacle was over.
Day 1 of waiting:
She slept blissfully and woke up rested and ready for the day. She had gotten dressed and ready and made her way back to the bridge. Unfortunately, her blissful restfulness was cut short when she laid eyes on a certain Commander and remembered the imminent embarrassment that was bound to ruin her life at some point this week.
“Good morning, Lieutenant Kirk. You look rested.” Spock greeted her with a nod as he fell in step with her toward the bridge elevator.
“Uh, yeah, good morning,” (Y/N) managed to only stutter once and she quickly cleared her throat. She shouldn’t be freaking out. They walked together to the bridge all the time. Of course, normally Jim is with them but still, casual meetings with Spock were not entirely out of the ordinary. As they walked, silence filled the space between the two and, to (Y/N), it was suffocating. Something on her face must have given away the fact that something was wrong.
“Are you feeling alright, Lieutenant?” Spock asked. His face was neutral but he side eyed (Y/N) intensely. Briefly, (Y/N) met his heavy gaze before looking straight ahead.
“Yup, feeling absolutely terrific!” She couldn’t even believe herself. Spock raised an eyebrow and opened his mouth to speak again but, luckily for (Y/N), he was interrupted.
“Lieutenant Kirk.” It was Scotty. God bless him! (Y/N) thought.
“What’s up, Scotty?” Was that the formal way to address him? No. But (Y/N) just wanted to get out of speaking with Spock one-on-one.
“I need to speak to you. There are some issues with a few of the privates stationed in the engine room and I could use your help to resolve the issue before I throw some people out of the airlock!” His accent was strong with annoyance and (Y/N) couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Sure thing,” She turned to Spock who had paused beside her, “You go on to the bridge, I’ll be in the engine room if you need me in the meantime.” Without waiting for an answer, (Y/N) hurried toward the engine room leaving Scotty to trail behind.
Day 2 of waiting:
It was only the second day, and Spock had already caught on to the fact that (Y/N) was avoiding him. (Y/N) knew it was not going to be easy to allude him while also keeping it a secret that she was doing it on purpose, after all – Spock isn’t an idiot and (Y/N) is anything but subtle. Spock and (Y/N) had a routine and of course in an effort to not speak to him (Y/N) had changed it so that she was usually off the bridge when Spock was there and vice versa.
“Lieutenant Kirk you are needed on the bridge,” Chekov’s thick accent crackled through (Y/N)’s communicator and she sighed. She knew Spock would be there which is why she was currently in the engine room recalibrating the warp drive. It was busy work that she normally wouldn’t do but anything to avoid the impending embarrassment.
            “On my way.”
When she arrived, Spock immediately shifted his gaze from his work to her. (Y/N) briefly met his gaze before walking toward her brother who was seated in his chair with his legs thrown over the armrest. She rolled her eyes.
            “What do you want, Jim?”
“That’s no way to address your captain, Lieutenant,” Jim had a smug smile on his face – as usual – and it took everything in (Y/N) not to smack him on the back of his head.
“Tell me what you want or I’m leaving. I was working, unlike some people,” She scoffed as she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned into her hip.
“Okay, I am sending you and Spock on a mission,” Jim’s smirk got wider as he noticed his sister’s eye twitch in annoyance. “The planet we’re coming up on is supposed to be abandoned but there should be evidence of a previous civilization. I figured with your archeological knowledge and Spock’s general smart-assery you two would fit the job perfectly.”
(Y/N) took a deep breath in through her nose as she glared at Jim. She sneaked a glance at Spock.
He was listening in on the conversation – an action he deemed logical since it also pertained to him. His eyes were focused on the screen in front of him but he could see (Y/N) from the corner of his eye. He noticed her normally relaxed state was exchanged for tensed shoulders and a glowering expression. Whatever had been going on yesterday had most certainly carried into today. He thought. (Y/N) Kirk was one of his closest friends just as James Kirk was. Though many things that the younger Kirk did were illogical and not well thought out, she knew how to get the results she wanted and always figured out a way for everyone to be happy or at least safe. Spock enjoyed her company even more than he enjoyed her brother’s. She was smart, kind, and usually quiet if it was just the two of them. She was a challenging chess opponent and someone dear to his heart. Not that he would say that to her.
(Y/N) sighed, “Okay. When do we leave?”
“Tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be in the atmosphere at around 12 o’clock Earth time so you’ve got plenty of time to research and prepare. Why don’t you and Spock take the rest of the day for whatever nerd stuff you need to do,” Jim waved his sister off before getting up and leaving the bridge. (Y/N) glared at his back as he left before begrudgingly walking over to Spock.
“Hey, Spock,” she said. Her eyes were focused on the ground rather than up at the Vulcan who was looking at her intently. (Y/N) took a breath in through her nose before finally lifting her gaze to meet Spock’s, “Let’s go get some lunch and we can talk about the mission.”
Before the Vulcan had the chance to respond, (Y/N) quickly turned on her hell and started walking toward the elevator. Spock easily caught up to her before the doors closed and as the elevator began to descend, Spock spoke up.
“(Y/N), are you feeling ill?” Spock dropped the formalities and asked straight out. (Y/N) lifted an eyebrow and looked at her Commander with a curious gaze.
“No, I’m fine. Why do you ask?” This was a stupid question, (Y/N) realized. Her behavior was at best erratic and clearly intentional so it was only logical for Spock to know something was wrong. She did breathe an internal sigh of relief knowing that Spock hadn’t received the letter, otherwise, she was sure he would have confronted her by now – mutual feelings or not.
“You’ve been acting strange for the last couple of days. I want to be sure that your behavior will not negatively affect your performance on this mission.”
(Y/N) fought the urge to roll her eyes as the elevator doors hissed open. Of course. She thought. He’s only worried about this dumb mission my dumb brother is sending us on to torture me.
“I am also worried about your well-being, Lieutenant.” Spock’s surprising sentiment almost made (Y/N) trip on her own foot. She cleared her throat and shrugged her shoulders as they turned the corner of the hallway.
“I promise, I’m okay. Just have a lot on my mind right now.”
“Ah, yes, the letter.”
(Y/N) swore her heart stopped right there in the hallway. She hesitantly looked at Spock, trying her best to keep her expression as neutral as his. She didn't know how to respond I could play dumb, she mused, but he’s too smart for that to work. The man knows my handwriting so it would be impossible for me to deny that I wrote it. She took a deep breath through her nose, Fuck it.
“Yeah, actually that is what’s on my mind. And honestly, I had hoped I could just ignore the problem but I should have known that wouldn’t work with you.” (Y/N) rambled.
“Why would this be a problem?” Spock tilted his head slightly and furrowed his eyebrows, something that (Y/N) found impossible endearing.
“It could ruin things! In so many ways!” By now, (Y/N) was pacing the hallway and Spock was more confused than ever. “You’re my superior officer and I just sent a love letter to you! Of course, I wouldn’t be dumb enough to send it that would be my genius brother. But I was dumb enough to leave the box out and allow him into my room! But I mean, who mails other people’s letters without asking? What was he even thinking?”
“(Y/N) –“
“I’m so sorry! I seriously didn’t mean to tell you like this and if I’m honest, I didn’t intend on telling you at all! My feelings were supposed to be kept to myself! Well, to myself and Jim but he’s a nosey bastard who obviously can’t mind his business! I don't know why I tell him anything and honestly, I wish he’d just – “
“(Y/N).” Spock, tired of listening to her pointlessly rambling on about how annoying her brother is – a fact he knew to be true – grabbed her gently by the shoulder to get her to stop pacing. Now that she wasn’t speaking and instead was staring up at him like a kicked puppy waiting to be scolded his mind went blank. Spock was officially at a loss for words. “I was talking about the letter of promotion Admiral Pike sent you. About the head of engineering position.”
She wanted to disappear. Perhaps if she willed it hard enough, she could fade from existence on the spot. For once, it was running her own mouth that got her in trouble instead of her brother’s. (Y/N) tried to read Spock’s expression but couldn’t and that sent even more anxiety straight to her gut.
“Oh.” That was all she managed to say. She quickly regained her wits, “Then just forget everything I said and we can just go back to normal!” She let out a nervous laugh that sounded more like a cry and started to walk in the direction of the cafeteria. However, Spock hadn’t let go of her shoulder and as she walked away his grip slipped from her shoulder down to her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
“Wait.” That was all he managed to say. His mind was still reeling trying to decipher her quick words. A love letter. He thought. She loves me? He couldn’t believe it. “You love me?”
Despite her distraught state, she had to admit she had never seen Spock looking so dumbfounded, as if what she said was something he had never thought of in any scenario. His hand still held hers firmly and he gently pulled her back towards him. “You love me.” He said again, though this time it seemed as though he was finally understanding the situation.
“Okay, Spock, you’re starting to sound like a broken record, and the record is titled Hurting (Y/N)’s Feelings.” She chuckled only to keep herself from bursting into tears out of sheer embarrassment. This was the moment she was dreading. The absolute end of a friendship and a lifetime of shame. I’ll have to go into exile. Maybe I’ll ask Scotty to throw me out of the airlock. She thought. Just as she was about to speak again, Spock dropped her hand turned on his heel, and headed back in the direction they came from. That was when the damn broke and (Y/N)’s eyes welled up with hot tears. Blinking rapidly, she haphazardly looked around the hallway to make sure no one saw her before jetting away in the direction of her room.
“You left her in the hallway?” Jim was on the verge of shouting. He was absolutely flabbergasted at Spock’s behavior. Spock rolled his eyes.
“I was unsure of what I was supposed to do.”
“So you decided to leave my baby sister in the hallway, by herself, after basically confessing her undying love for you.”
“You’re being dramatic.”
“Trust me, I am not.” Jim ran a hand through his hair and huffed out an annoyed sigh. He paced back and forth, a habit that Spock noticed the siblings share, before looking back at his second in command. “Okay, you have to go after her.”
Spock knew this. It was obviously the most logical course of action. There was only one problem: “What am I supposed to say to her?”
“Apologize for rudely walking away, first off. Then – and this is just a spitball idea – tell her you feel the same!”
Jim was actually convinced that Spock’s brain had short-circuited. Spock wasn’t firing on all cylinders because if he was, he would understand the logical thing to do. Secretly, Jim was happy this situation happened. He had been trying to the Spock and his sister together for months now but he found the process to be similar to cutting a tree down with a blunt axe.
“Beginning a relationship with Lieutenant Kirk would violate –“
“Not if she accepts the promotion.”
“She’d still be my subordinate!”
“Only in the same way Scotty is our subordinate! He only has to listen to us sometimes.”
“That is not how the ranking system works.”
“Who cares?” Jim was tired of arguing with Spock over something that seemed so obvious. Spock felt the same way. “Listen, if you don’t want to tell her you have feelings for her I can’t make you. What I can tell you is that no matter what you do the sentence needs to start with I’m sorry and end with something nice. Turn off the Vulcan side for a change, not everything you do has to be completely logical. Sometimes we just need to do things that we want.”
It must have been a strange sight. The commanding officer of the USS Enterprise stood stiffly in front of (Y/N)’s quarters. He was still trying to figure out what exact words he needed to say and he had taken to scratching at his cuticles out of nervousness. I should not just be standing here. He thought. Shaking his head and finally lifting his clenched fist, he knocked twice. Panic briefly set into his veins as he realized he was actually going to have to talk to (Y/N). A cold shiver ran up his spine as the door’s airlock hissed open and revealed (Y/N) on the other side. He could tell she had been crying, though the tears seemed to be mostly dry by now. Her red-rimmed eyes lightly glared up at him and she crossed her arms tightly over her body.
“Can I help you?” Her voice was scratchy and her words were punctuated by a sniffle. Spock felt an ache deep in his gut from knowing he had made her feel this way.
“I-“ He paused. Once again he was speechless but he was determined to make this right. “I apologized for the way I behaved. Leaving you there after such an important moment was not the right thing to do and I am sorry for hurting you.” Even as he did his best to keep his tone even he couldn’t help the slight waver in his voice.
“It’s alright, Spock. Honest. I’ll be okay and ready for the mission tomorrow. Like I said we can just go back to normal and forget about it.” She was offering him an out. He knew he could easily just take it and go but part of him, a large part of him refused to give up that easily.
“No.”
“What?”
“I do not wish to return to normal.”
“Oh.” (Y/N) believed this to be the final moment of friendship. He wanted nothing to do with her anymore. “Um, okay. I guess you can just do the mission alone or ask my brother to –“
“You misunderstand. I do not want to return to normal because I reciprocate your feelings of affection.”
Oh. (Y/N) thought. A moment of silence passed between them. Spock watched (Y/N)’s face for any sign of emotion but she seemed frozen. He wouldn’t lie, she thought. Vulcans don’t lie. “You do?” her voice was quieter than she intended, almost a whisper.
Spock took her hand in his larger one. “Of course I do. I believe an adequate way to put it would be you have bewitched me, body and soul.”
(Y/N) couldn’t help the giggle, “So you do listen when I talk about Jane Austin. I thought you found romance novels illogical.”
“Everything about you is illogical, but that is one of the many things I find alluring about you.” They both smiled. (Y/N) had only seen Spock actually smile a few times and each time it was like new life had filled her lungs but this time it was even better knowing that the smile was put there solely for her. And this time, she couldn’t stop herself from kissing that smile even if she tried.
