Brendan Fraser is having one heck of a year. The actor known for major movie hits from the 1990s like The Mummy just won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Darren Aronofsky's The Whale. He will also be seen in Martin Scorsese's next film, Killers of the Flower Moon. Due to all of the press Fraser was getting during awards season, the actor and his fans have been reminiscing about some of his most iconic roles. Unsurprisingly, some folks want to see him return to some of his roles from the past, including his former co-star Alicia Silverstone. Recently, the Clueless alum attended '90s Con (via Variety) and revealed she would be open to making a Blast From the Past sequel. The 1999 romantic comedy follows a man who rejoins society after spending his life in a fallout shelter. "With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun," Silverstone said during a Clueless panel when a fan asked if she'd make a Blast From the Past follow-up. "I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he's so cute. He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it's part of life that you struggle and then look what happened to him! So yes, I'm happy to do that."⚡️🍿🍿🍿 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #aliciasilverstone (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSbJoTrq25/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Warning Alert 🚨: This contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Deluxe #57⚡️😋 Creator Robert Kirkman wrote in the letters column ending The Walking Dead #57, published in 2009. "Sometimes writing this comic is hard." The issue — which is presented in full color for the first time as part of Image Comics' The Walking Dead Deluxe reprint series, on stands now — sees Rick Grimes become a "living zombie" to save his son, Carl, from an attempted rape by marauders. In a scene that inspired the season 4 finale of the AMC series, Rick rips out a marauder's throat with his teeth before gutting the man who has pinned down his young son. "This is the issue where Carl nearly gets raped by marauders, and Rick essentially becomes a living zombie in order to save him. I'd had the 'Rick bites a guy like a zombie' scene planned for a while," Kirkman wrote, adding that he "thought it would be cool to push things to the point where Rick had to behave like a zombie in order to survive." "From there, it was just a matter of coming up with a situation dire enough to drive Rick to do that," Kirkman continued. "And well, you see what I came up with. Eek. I mean, heck, it's a dark book, we go to some dark places. It's a savage world." The creator went on to explain that it was his own experience as a father that motivated him to push The Walking Dead into an even darker — and more violent. "By this point I had kids. And I don't think this happens to everyone, but for a time after my kids were born, it made me significantly more sensitive to violence. Scenes that wouldn't have bothered me at all suddenly upset me more now that I had kids," Kirkman wrote. "So, from time to time, it would make me want to hold back on certain storylines. And that would make me feel like my kids were making me... soft. So what happened was if I ever felt myself pulling back... it would make me push even further into this direction. To prove to myself that having kids wasn't going to ruin the series." ⚡️🍿🍿📕🧟‍♂️ #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #art #instagram #galaxy #tv #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #thewalkingdead #twd #robertkirkman (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpBAPz1Pdzn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Last year, Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin introduced the world to the idea of the "requel" in Scream, the fifth installment of the beloved horror franchise. Inspired by franchise reboots that mix the new and the old, a requel is a movie that revisits the subject matter of an earlier film without being a remake or a linear continuation of the original plot. Now, the Radio Silence filmmakers are busy promoting their next film, Scream VI. While chatting with ComicBook.com's Chris Killian, the duo also talked about another upcoming project, the Escape From New York reboot they're making with their fellow creative, Chad Villella. However, it sounds like fans can officially stop using the term "reboot" and start using "requel" when it comes to the new Escape From New York. "It's a great question. I don't think we know enough about the movie yet to be able to say anything, but yes 'requel' is the idea," the directors shared with Killian when asked if the movie would be a requel that could involve Escape From New York star, Kurt Russell. "There's no way to remake how great that movie is, would be a fool's errand to try. So, you know, we'll try to borrow what we love from it and find a new way to put the package together."⚡️🍿🍿🍿🗽 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #escapefromnewyork #kurtrussell #80s (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSkfKvLPXJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Marvel Studios is getting ready to bring Wolverine back to the big screen with Hugh Jackman reprising the role that he made iconic in Deadpool 3. The studio was expected to recast the role, but with this era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe being called The Multiverse Saga, it made it possible for Jackman to return. Before the news of his return, fans were casting the role online, and some of the names that were thrown out there were Tom Hardy, Keanu Reeves, and even Taron Egerton. Reeves has been pretty vocal in the nerdy community and has previously revealed his interest in the Wolverine role. Now he's once again voicing that he wants to play the mutant. During a recent Reddit AMA, Reeves was asked if he had a role that he regretted turning down, and his response was plain and simple. "Has there ever been a role in your career that you regret turning down?" To which Reeves responded: "…No…but I did always want to play Wolverine."⚡️🍿🍿🍿 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #hughjackman #wolverine #marvel #keanureeves (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSkHD9r1Vd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Chris Rock performed his latest comedy special, titled Selective Outrage, live on Netflix, and it featured his long-awaited response to the Will Smith slap at the Oscars. Rock dedicated the last 10 minutes of the special to addressing not only the situation at the Oscars but also things surrounding Will and Jada's marriage and how they addressed infidelity on Red Table Talk. Rock spoke about how he always loved Will Smith but demonstrated how that has changed with a joke aimed at Smith's recent film Emancipation. He also explained why he didn't hit Smith back, and his special didn't hold anything back. ⚡️🍿🍿🍿👌🏼 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #chrisrock #willsmith #netflix #comedy (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSjrAFrzdS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Polka-Dot Man may have died at the end of The Suicide Squad, but that hasn't stopped fans from hoping to see him come back in some form or fashion in a future DC film. David Dastmalchian's portrayal of the villain-turned-hero in James Gunn's 2021 film made Polka-Dot Man an instant hit with audiences. People want to see him back in action, and Dastmalchian clearly wants the same. Dastmalchian recently spoke with ComicBook.com's Chris Killian about his role in the new Hulu film Boston Strangler, and the subject of Gunn's new position as head of DC Studios came up. If the chance to work with Gunn came up again, as Polka-Dot Man or in a new role, Dastmalchian wouldn't hesitate to say yes. "Being on set with James Gunn was one of the greatest experiences of my life," Dastmalchian said. "If it's the one chance that I got to do that, then I'll savor and be grateful for that for the rest of my life. But if there is some miraculous way that he, in all of his brilliance and imagination, finds for Abner or any other character that he thinks I might be right to portray, to come into that world, I'm there in a second." "Abner is by far one of the greatest roles I've ever gotten to play as an actor," he told us. "James wrote me a gift of a role. So if there was some origin story, or if there was a flashback sequence, that could be cool." ⚡️🍿🍿⚡️🦹🏻‍♂️⚫️⚪️🔴⚫️🔵 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #polkadot #dccomics #daviddastmalchian #suicidsquad (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSirORrR7C/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Day After Tomorrow is trending because of the freak tornado out in Los Angeles. According to NBC Los Angeles, the damage was confined to the San Gabriel Valley in the city. A video showcasing debris and car parts swirling made the rounds on social media. It's a wild sight to behold, especially in a region where tornadoes are not very common at all. The National Weather Service says that it was a "small tornado" and there are no other updates at this time. Montebello Fire Department explained that one person was injured in the winds but there were no fatalities. Five buildings also sustained some damage. Check out the video below. Here's how 20th Century is described: "When global warming triggers the onset of a new Ice Age, tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, a tidal wave engulfs New York City and the entire Northern Hemisphere begins to freeze solid. Now, climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid), his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal) and a small band of survivors must ride out the growing superstorm and stay alive in the face of an enemy more powerful and relentless than any they've ever encountered: Mother Nature!" ⚡️🍿🍿🍿🌪️🌪️ #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #tornado #gaming #weather (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSh6CPrFB_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

AIR, Ben Affleck plays Nike head man Phil Knight. Its essentially the story of how Nike got Michael Jordan. It will be interesting to see how people react to the larger release. Sneaker culture has exploded worldwide since the 2000s. It was already massive by the time Jordan made it to the league. However, as AIR makes it clear, things shifted into another stratosphere with the introduction of Nike's Air Jordan line. One man and a marketing team is likely the reason that so many young athletes clamor for these kinds of endorsement deals now. Ben Affleck via Hollywood Reporter "I've never known anybody with that kind of charisma and power who walks into a room and it just reverberates," he added. "And is it him or is it the way people treat him? Is it your memories of him? I don't know, but it's powerful. I said, 'Please, can I come out?' And he was great. 'Yeah, no problem. Come to the golf course.' Went out, met with him. I waited for him to finish playing. I don't golf myself. Because I just feel like it eats people's lives up." "I have to be very clear, this is not the authorized Michael Jordan story. He was not compensated in a way that would be appropriate if this were that. If you're going to do a Michael Jordan story, they should back the fucking truck up. This was me saying, 'Mike, I'm not going to make the movie if you're not cool with something about it. I just won't do it. I want to know what's important to you.' He was very clear," Affleck recalled. "He was the one who told me about [Nike executive] Howard White, who wasn't in the original script, who's played by Chris Tucker. And I said, 'Any anecdotes about your dad?' And without going into any more detail, he actually talked about his mom, who wasn't really in the script. That's when I understood what the movie was. Talking to him about his mom was incredibly moving, and I realized, 'Oh, this isn't about Nike.'" ⚡️🍿🍿🍿👟🏀 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #actors #artist #life #michaeljordan #nike #aire #benaffleck (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSe2r7LT_b/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
