A super-duper clearer version of RonToto on a date. Please link bank when using the images. TYSM.
Excerpts from the Spoon.2Di interview of Youhei Azakami (Ron Kamonohashi) and Junya Enoki (Totomaru Isshiki)
On RonToto’s bourgeoning relationship after the Episode 6, the Case of the Live Broadcast Murder
Youhei/Yōhei Azakami: We were in a situation where Toto might have died, and I imagined that I was desperate, and I thought it was the first time that Ron showed human emotions, so I was also impressed. I think it was an episode where you can feel that Ron's feelings for Toto have changed a lot compared to the first episode.
Ron being the culprit again from the three-parter The Murder at the Observatory on a Solitary Island arc:
Azakami: Ron was suspected of being the culprit of a certain incident five years ago, and it's an event that I don't want my character Ron to remember, but even though he is suspected of being the culprit in this case, he is not as depressed as before. It is when he realised that “Toto was not there five years ago.” I still felt that a trusting relationship was being built between the two, and it left an impression on me. It's rare for Ron to put such a thing into words honestly.
EnoJun on Toto’s first impression of Ron and his portrayal of the police detective.
Junya Enoki: Ron is a weirdo who does crazy things, but he has a child-like aspect. I feel like I have an adult side. I really like deduction and it's fun, but I also have a good sense as a proper adult to fight because I hunt down the criminal. … I thought it was very interesting to do it. When I read the original work for the first time, there were a lot of tsukkomi. I got the impression that he is a character who leads comedy, Toto doesn't have much ability as a detective, but he has a great sense of justice, and he doesn't want to hurt the criminal after Ron has solved the case (who pressures them to kill themselves). I felt attracted to his tsukkomi personality.
Akazami on the difference between their characters:
Akazami: Toto is a character that is easy for the audience to empathize with, but the more I read it, the more I felt that the intensity of Ron's personality would stand out… I'm playing it while thinking that I won't make the character darker, on the other hand, Toto is full of feelings.

Today’s translation #796
Spoon 2Di vol. 19, Otsuka Manabu interview
Part 4.
-- I've heard that Miyamoto-san not only created the choreography, but was also the model, who actually skated it.
Otsuka: All choreography is Miyamoto-sensei's creation, but because of reasons, such as the difference in body size, Yurio's choreography was skated by a woman. During the day, when rink was open to the public, Miyamoto-sensei was skating as we were devising and discussing what the choreography should be like, and then during the night, after the rink closed to the public, he skated the final version of the choreography, and we recorded him. It was so cold, because it was night, and the ice rink was just right beside us, that we had to buy very sturdy warm clothes to protect ourselves from cold.
-- A lot of different characters make appearance in the story - have you participated in the process of creating these characters?
Otsuka: I left it all up to Director Yamamoto and Kubo-san. They both love figure skating so much, that all these characters were born because they felt that they 'want to see this type of competitor!' and 'including this type of skater will be interesting!', so I and other staff members simply focused on expressing all of their ideas as they wanted it in the anime.
-- Every one of these characters is so unique, but do you have a favorite?
Otsuka: I like Yurio the most. He's the youngest, and so talented, but he also works hard, and he's lonely deep inside his heart, but at the same time, very strong mentally - a very charming character, in my opinion. And, I also personally like Georgi Popovich (laugh). He hasn't made a proper appearance in the story yet, so I can't tell you a lot, but he's an incredible person, just as expected from a character created by Kubo-san. The visual side of this character, like his crew cut, won me over (laugh). Please, look forward to meeting him, and please, pay attention to his programs!

My copy of Spoon 2Di, which had an EXTENSIVE section on the new anime with multiple cast interviews… I was surprised! I have not attempted to read it yet though, just flipped through.
Also got the copy of Gfantasy I managed to snag through Amazon JP, with the pencil board (it’s basically a sturdy double sided laminated poster).
The kuro font/title on the cover is silver and shimmers in the light!
Also my correctly sized chi plush got here so I can cuddle it and miss my baby Raul….

Langa Hasegawa Character Intro & Chiaki Kobayashi Interview (spoon.2Di vol.71)
"Right now... I'm having fun!"
Langa Hasegawa
"S" Name: SNOW Birthday: February 8th A returnee* transfer student from Canada, and a high school second year who's always spacing out. He sometimes shows a stubborn side.
(*note that "returnee" here refers to a child with Japanese nationality through their parent(s) who's come to Japan after living elsewhere, but includes children who were born overseas - this doesn't imply anything one way or another about if Langa was born in Canada or Okinawa.)
Chiaki Kobayashi Interview
—When you were playing Langa, what sort of direction did you receive from the staff? What did you consider important to your portrayal?
My own impression of Langa is that he looks cool at a glance, but is an unexpectedly expressive and aggressive boy. So when we were recording the first episode, I played him really lively, like he could keep up with Reki. And then in direction I was told "we want him to be more spaced out and out of touch", "he should go at his own pace without discussing things with Reki." Moreover, that as the story progressed from here, he'd gradually show more expressions. I think it was exactly because I received that direction that Langa began to come to life as a character to me.
—In episode 5, Langa has his first BEEF with ADAM. Could you give us your impressions from when you were performing, and tell us how you perceive what ADAM is to Langa?
I think, to Langa, ADAM is someone who can show him sights he's never seen before, and can teach him a kind of excitement he's still never experienced first-hand. So, when I was recording episode 5, he pursued him without any negative feelings like fear or worry he could lose. But because I got direction that I was coming on too strong and it felt like Langa would win from the beginning of the race, I had to be conscious of the balance between being overwhelmed when he was supposed to be overwhelmed, but still chomping at the bit. I was really overjoyed to be able to talk everything until now out with a great veteran on the front lines like Koyasu-san. (laughter)
—Episode 6 turned out to be a really fun episode. What were your impressions and memories from recording?
We, the cast, will enjoy ourselves! After this, we're over the hill! That's how we got through it. (laughter) The episodes right before and after this were particularly hard, so this was a pretty extreme difference in intensity. But thanks to this episode, we were able to deepen the camaraderie between the characters, and dig into each character in more depth, so I think it was a really important episode.
—Are there any other scenes in the story so far that have made a lasting impression on you, or episodes you remember recording the most strongly?
Episode 2 made a lingering impression on me. Episode 2 was an important episode that really condensed Reki and Langa's deepening relationship and the joy of skating. Episode 1 was still the episode where they first met, so Reki and Langa weren't really opening their hearts up to one another yet. But in episode 2, they're dealing with the same things, they're sharing their "fun" with one another, and gradually start to get along. It was an episode without a race in it, but I think it's this episode that really solidified Reki and Langa's friendship. On top of that, because the episode's crammed full of things that beginner skaters go through, people who've never skated before can have the sense that they're growing alongside Langa, while experienced skaters can have a taste of nostalgia and think "I used to do that!", so I thought the composition of the episode was amazing.
—Is there anything coming up in the story that you thing we should pay close attention to?
I think you should look out for the outcome of the tournament, that everyone will be staking their hopes on when they compete, and what will happen to Reki and Langa. Of course the main draw of a tournament is who's going to battle who, and which pair is going to end up competing in the finals, but underneath that, there's an intricate web of human relationships depicted from all sorts of angles that you can't tear your eyes away from. I think you'll enjoy it, even when it's heart-wrenching. (laughter)
—Finally, please send a message to all our readers.
Will Langa go down the same path as ADAM? What will happen to Reki and Langa's relationship? There are a lot of things to be anxious about, but please keep watching over those two! The staff and cast are working together as one to do our best to show you those things, so please keep waiting with infinite anticipation! I think there will be more and more developments unfolding that you won't expect. Thank you, and enjoy!

Wait Setsuji is actually kind of hilarious. (more excerpts from Spoon.2Di, same as this)
Q: Production of season 2 has been confirmed. What would you like to see of Alastor?
Setsuji: Well in episode 5 we saw nun Alastor, so maybe nurse Alastor or flight attendant Alastor. --Well, various kinds of Alastor! (laughs) Let's leave that as a joke.
They ask about what he thinks might come of Alastor and Charlie's deal and he's like well maybe he will fight with the Hotel (...) And at the end, Vox kills him (laughs).
Girl?????? This again????? (I guess he really likes that idea)
...And at the end the interviewer asks him for a final message.
"Vox is cute because he's like the leader of little bullies!"

Spoon.2di April 2018 - Itou Setsuo’s [Mob] Interview
Here’s the translation of Itou Setsuo’s interview from vol 36 of Spøøn.2di (April 2018), released in promotion of MP100 Season 2, announcement of which happened at the end of the Reigen OVA! Three page interview that I’ve done as a summary for the most part, but the end is full of meta regarding Mob’s relationships that’s incredibly sweet so I’ve typed those up fully.
He is asked how he felt when season 2 was announced. “Naturally, I was incredibly happy. I felt the joy of being able to perform as Mob again, and since I’d read all of the manga, I’d be thinking things like, ‘will this scene show up in season 2?’, and, ‘will I get to perform this scene with everyone?’. The excitement wouldn’t stop…!” Goes on to say he felt excitement as both a fan and as a voice actor.
Q: How were you told about season 2 being greenlit? A: That was… it was before appearing at an event with Director Tachikawa. I recall him saying super casually, ‘uh, you know, right?’ (Laughs)
Q: (Laughs) So, was it during recording for “Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic” that you truly came to realise that season 2 was going to start? A: That’s right. When I was told that the announcement would come at the end of the film, I thought, ‘we’re really doing season 2…!’
He’s asked how he felt reading the scenario for the OVA for the first time. “I did a double take (laughs). I read through the pages, thinking to myself, ‘this isn’t the Mob Psycho I know.’ (Laughs).” Goes on to say that while it’s a compilation it’s a fresh take on one.
He’s asked about any scene(s) from the OVA that left an impression on him, to which he replies the scene in which Mob has finished writing the book and he’s got Ritsu, Teru, Mezato & the telepathy club gathered around him. “The amount of people Mob has around him has increased so much. It’s a scene that had me realise that anew, so for me personally it’s a scene I love.”
He’s asked the same but from the scenes that have been fabricated, to which he says when Reigen pastes himself over Shou. “That’s a scene in which it’s established how cool a character Shou is, but with Shishou’s fabrication, we get Shishou’s face instead of Shou’s own. That was unbelievably hilarious (laughs). I think that’s probably my favourite out of all the fabricated scenes.”
He goes on to say that another scene that left an impression on him is when Mob and Reigen go to eat ramen together. “I thought to myself, ‘of course it’d finish up with ramen!’. Since S1E1 ends with Shishou and Mob going to eat ramen together, I felt like it suggests that a new story is going to start, so it really left an impression on me.”
[TN: Seko dismisses the above in his interview]
He says he wishes he could’ve been part of the audience not knowing that the S2 announcement would be dropped at the end of the OVA.
He goes on to say that since it’d been a year and a half since recording for S1E1, he wasn’t sure how good a job he’d do with recording for the OVA ("Can I perform in the same way?")
“When Sakurai-san performs, he has this incredible persuasive power (laughs). I was reminded anew of just how skilled Reigen-shishou is at winning over people.”
He’s asked what he’s looking forward to with season 2, and anything he’d like to see. “It appears at the end of the ‘Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic’... I really want to see ‘that person’s’ press conference.”
He also mentions the fight with Touichirou, “if it appears in season 2[...]”, and he’s looking forward to BONE’s approach to the action scenes.
He states another scene that he wants to see, though he’s not sure if it’ll be included in season 2, is the part in which Mob gets a girlfriend
[TN: I recall him saying in another interview that he was happy to see the Emi story being in S2E1, so that’s nice]
“It’s a story in which we see Mob’s strengths and weaknesses. You can sympathise. So I’d be glad to perform it.”
He’s asked about the stage play in January and how it influenced him, to which he says that it helped him look at characters from a different perspective and take different interpretations
He’s asked what he means by this; “Rather than Mob not having any emotions, he has a weak way of expressing himself… the stage play reaffirmed that for me.”
He quotes Kawajiri Keita (screenplay/producer for stage play); “This isn’t a play that’s led by the main character. It’s the characters around him that decide the atmosphere, and Mob exists in that atmosphere doing things at his own pace, which is interesting.” Itou says this is true for anime Mob too.
And, the final section;
Q: For Mob, who would you say the other characters in Mob Psycho 100 are? Could you please begin with Reigen?
A: Shishou, rather than teaching Mob the concept of what is ‘correct’, teaches him the ‘choices’ that he needs to live. He teaches him that making the right choice is good, but he doesn’t always have to go for that option. It’s for that reason that he can be called the ‘shishou’ of Mob’s life, but I wouldn’t say that the two of them have a relationship as formal as the word ‘shishou’ suggests… the use of that word suggests a very stiff relationship, but Reigen is more like, ‘a big brother Mob is very close to who lives nearby’ (laughs). They may have no relation by blood, they may not be family, but, they’re as close as family, and Reigen cherishes Mob as such. We’ve seen Mob wonder, “is Shishou really an esper?” before, but regardless of whether or not he has powers, regardless of his shishou’s conman-like behaviour, the two of them support one another. I’d like to keep seeing these two, with that ‘shishou’ and ‘deshi’ relationship.
Q: How about his little brother, Ritsu?
A: Ritsu is a truly important person for Mob-kun. The first time we see Mob-kun genuinely get angry for someone else is when Ritsu gets abducted by Claw. So I always think of that when performing as Mob-kun; Ritsu is that important to him, that he let his emotions lay bare.
Q: It appears in the compilation part of ‘Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic - even after Ritsu vents the emotions he’s been keeping locked up inside at Mob, we once again see Mob-kun’s big-brother-like-nature.
A: That’s right. Mob-kun performs dogeza for Ritsu’s sake. When I look at that I think, ah, he’s definitely a big brother.
Q: Next, how about Dimple?
A: Dimple is, how should I say, he’s already become a friend (laughs). I suppose friendship is, the closer you get to one another the more sharp tongued you get. To be cold to someone on purpose, turn that into laughter, tamper with someone, be tampered with… I think Mob-kun and Dimple’s relationship has gradually turned into something like that. At first, I think Mob-kun was simply disinterested so he was cold to Dimple, but now they’re on good terms so Mob-kun being cold has turned into a bit of an act, I think!
Q: How about Teru?
A: Teru-kun is the person Mob-kun can sympathise with the most. At first I suppose he was something like a rival, but now, if Mob-kun were to have any troubles regarding his powers, I think the person he’d turn to first would be Teru-kun. Rather than shishou… (laughs)
Q: (Laugh) Now, please give a message to Sakurai Takahiro, voice of Reigen Arataka, who you’ll once again be playing a Shishou-Deshi relationship with!
A: I’ve been a fan of yours since I was in primary school! … which is something I’ve told you before (laughs). I may be inexperienced, but I look forward to performing with you once again!

「My favorite scene of 「Dazai, Chuya, Fifteen」was when that scene from Vol. 8 of the comic is reproduced, I felt deeply emotional when I drew it」
A Harukawa35 interview Spoon.2Di vol.49
—After 『Bungo Stray Dogs DEAD APPLE』, that was released on March 2018, the airing of the third season has finally begun. What were your feelings when the production of a third season was decided? Also, what did Harukawa-sensei expected of this third season? I don’t really remember the moment when it was decided to produce the third season, I’m so sorry. But maybe I kinda said 「It’s decided then! 」when they announced it? Although I always felt the atmosphere of the staff was of wanting to do the third season, so it probably wasn’t really a surprise the sequel was decided and I was glad that the staff didn’t change for the third season. What I expected was that the audience was amused and satisfied by watching it. — It was a surprise that the season begun with 「Dazai, Chuya, Fifteen」 (Episode 26), where it shows how Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuya met each other and ended in the Port Mafia. How do you feel about those episodes? It’s the staff that’s into surprises, so it’s something that the fans will most likely guess will happen again. To me, being able to have the visual image of a novel I haven’t drawn, it’s a very pleasant experience (to watch it). I was hoping to see it on air. —「Dazai, Chuya, Fifteen」 is a light novel that was originally distributed as an attendance bonus for the second week of release of the film 『Bungo Stray Dogs DEAD APPLE 』 . Please, Harukawa-sensei, tell us about your favorite scenes of the novel, the written and animated ones, and your reasons. It goes really back into the story, but when the three people in charge were at the meeting to decide the origin of Chuuya, Asagiri said 「I want him to be a demon」. At that point I was thinking「What is the point of him being a demon?」, and it was a good thing that I had the chance of doing something I wanted to do, because that way we got to decide how to approach how he came to exist in this world. My favorite scene was when that scene from Vol. 8 of the comic is reproduced, I felt deeply emotional when I drew it.
—This time, Harukawa-sensei told me that she was in charge of the preview version of fifteen years-old Nakahara Chuya. Please tell us on what did you focus on when you drew it, the details, favorite points, etc.
Since Chuya didn’t wear black, he was described like this in the novel 『The dark green biker jacket like a rooster in the middle of the dark』, was it because the base was black and it looks green under the light? I checked it and thought that there was a reason for the jacket to not be clearly black, because he needs to wear an all black outfit after joining Port Mafia.
—Another light novel given as a bonus on the screening of Bungo Stray Dogs DEAD APPLE was 「Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST, White Akutagawa, Black Atsushi」 and now the complete version was released, where Akutagawa is part of the Armed Detective Agency. Please tell us your thoughts when you read this work that is a parallel universe where Atsushi belongs to the Port Mafia. Als, the cover illustrations and the illustrations inside the novel show that the appearances of Atsushi and Akutagawa have different atmospheres. Please tell us what did you focus on when drawing the illustrations and how did you configure the characters on this work.
I didn’t want to make the characters profile for all of the characters, but I drew each illustration thinking about the black part of every white part and the white part of every black part (of every character, of course). even the eyes of Akutagawa were slightly changed to include some light on them, but Asagiri-san said 「I don’t want them to be white」, and in the original bonus of DEAD APPLE, 「White Akutagawa, Black Atsushi」, there was a subtitle describing the coat of Akutagawa was like「ash」, so I thought it would be fun to give it a meaning carefully.
—The release date for the next Vol. 17 of the manga is scheduled for May 2. What do you think about being able to draw the work so far? The story is getting more and more intense, but what else is yet to come?
I think that the most surprising thing so far for the readers is the thing about Tachihara-kun. I always wanted him to be the center of attention and I’m happy that he’s finally getting to play such an active role. The editor in charge seemed to be also very moved by this feeling, he said 「Tachihara-kun came to be drawn like this...」, of course there was also the sensation that it was going to be complicated, so there was an exchange like 「I don’t think that’s the point for the readers」. As for the future, we still have a long way to go, but I hope you will continue to look forward to it because there are some personally happy scenes.
一Please leave the followers of 『Bungo Stray Dogs』, both the readers of the original work and the viewers of the Tv show! Fortunately, the people involved in 『Bungo Stray Dogs 』, including the staff for the anime and the stage, are highly motivated people. For the beginning of the second season it was decided to include a light novel in the middle of the story, he did it because he said “I have never done this”. I’m very happy that people who have been in this industry, who have been active for years, still have the chance to challenge that “I have never done this before”. It’s an honor to be chosen to work with Bungo Stray Dogs. I think that this work’s attitude of trying new things all the time will keep the readers encouraged. I have said it’s hard, I think it’s better to have fun with it as an amusement, so I would be happy if you can relax and look forward for the development of the story.

Today’s translation #797
Spoon 2Di vol. 19, Otsuka Manabu interview
Part 5.
-- By the way, from your perspective, what is you impression of Yuuri and Victor?
Otsuka: Yuuri receives special support from his skating federation, so it's obvious that he's a very talented skater, but he isn't self-complacent because of that, and just as Yurio, I think that he still worked hard to get to the place where he is now. And I also think that Victor is the person, who is able to make the best use of that hard work, so meeting Victor was for Yuuri an event that brought a lot of good into Yuuri's life, I'm sure.
-- What about Victor then?
Otsuka: Based on those few episodes that I've seen so far, to be honest... I think that he's an alien from space (laugh). You have no idea what he's going to say next, and it seems that his common sense and biology even is quite different from normal people, but that's also a part of what makes him such a charming character. I think that he's a very interesting character. So my impression of the two of them is: 'serious Yuuri and alien Victor'.

Fushumi character ramblings
I never did so much meta on K, but I think I wanted to mention a few things that caught my eye mostly importantly Fushimis character development. Gora said a long time ago that Fushimi changed I’m thinking its due to the relationships with others. According to the interview of Gora (Spoon 2di), he chose Scepter 4 just because Jungle was boring, rather than loyalty. But I doubt Gora since their writing of their characters are not always consistent. Yata and Fushimi vs Sukuna is the accumulation of his character arc
What he said to Sukuna this quote means a lot to especially in regards to his character that is Fushimi's habit of retreating into his own little world when he doesn’t want to deal with anything.
This quote is Fushimi accepting that he can’t run from reality by retreating into his small world all the time he still needs to face it despite the odds against him.
Fushimi still harbors a negative view on himself when he said that hes a traitor he still doesn’t understand himself and why he is doing things that would put him in danger. Until Yata said this,
the reason why Fushimi risks his life for Munakata is because he cares about Munakata his king, he cares about him like Yata cared about Anna and Mikoto.
Yata’s words boosted fushimi self esteem.
Fushimi telling Yata to go to Anna and reminding him of the important thing yata needs to do is Fushimi no longer unhealthy clings to Yata as a form of codependency.
Fushimi doesn’t understand himself and that's where yata comes in to tell him,
Yata helped Fushimi understand himself in the way Fushimi couldn’t. Fushimi was not able to understand these things if it wearn’t for yatas help, Fushimi knows why he obsesses over Yata its that he wanted Yatas attention and values his bond with him.
If you think he didn’t change at all you haven’t read the lsw manga
