There is a snow storm going on right now, but it is thunder snow! I just saw lightning on one of the cameras and then heard it rumble too! This is my first time, and wow, it is powerful but awesome! I hope the power lines stay put!

i just looked up my last frost date to plan out when to start seeds, and it's two-three weeks earlier than when i last checked (a handful of years ago)! have you noticed a change in yours? or perhaps your followers? thought i'd ask here to check in with you and a larger, gardener readership.
I have a ton of old weather data in battered old notebooks . . that I should really compile into a usable format.
But, just anecdotally, from my memory of the late 20th century, our area always looked at May 15th as the "safe date" for planting non-frosthardy things like tomatoes out in the garden. And now . . we frequently have years where the last frost is rolled back to April. HOWEVER it is not uncommon to get a cold spell around the third week of May that goes well below freezing and messes up strawberries, garden veggies, and pollination of fruit trees pretty badly.
So - many years the last frost is earlier - but you cannot in any way RELY on that. It's a puzzlement.
(The bees REALLY hate those late cold snaps)

About three weeks later the last of the Kings of Narnia sat under the great oak which grew beside the door of his little hunting lodge, where he often stayed for ten days or so in the pleasant spring weather.
