I'm very confused as to what you mean by "editor", I edit all my own drawings if I need to. Also I'm ok for inspiration thanks, if I get stuck I usually just bounce ideas off my friends.

This bit though: "A photo that can help you"? It kinda sounds like you want to commission me to make art for you but you want it for free, so you're phrasing it like you're doing me a favour and not the other way around. I've also seen that you've been asking this to other artists too which is kinda sketchy tbh.

10• A blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter.

There are a few people who come to mind, all who I love very dearly but I want to mention @tracybirds. They are such a patient, supportive and kind person who supported me after I tried to take my own life and defended me when I was being targeted.

They started the @thunder-pride event to raise awareness and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ thundernerds and queer fandom content. They brought a group of us together, people who I'd never even spoken to before and they're now some of my best friends.

Bri you are amazing, don't forget that ever!!

11• If you're a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?

I think I already answered this question previously but I've done more art since then so I'm happy to answer again.

This one of Virgil, I have a bit of a perfectionism problem in that I feel like everything I share with the fandom has to be perfect. I had a colour palette I wanted to do something with and I was not in the mood to make a whole intricate and clean piece so I just did a scratch up for fun and I loved it so I posted. It's kicked off the concept in my head that nothing I make has to be perfect and I'm allowed to draw for fun and share that with others.

And my most recent one, Gordon and my OC Squirt on the sofa. I just got this idea in my head and sketched it up, not intending it to be that good but like I have no idea how I managed to draw Squirt laying upside down like that, also Gordon's face is just perfect to me.

24• How has fandom positively impacted your life?

It reignited my love for art, you guys are always so supportive of my artwork which means so much. Also through support of my fandom friends, I've discovered that I'm allowed to set boundaries and I don't have to try and please everyone. I'm still learning but it's already made a positive impact.

Sorry for the wait, been swamped with other stuff recently. (;^^)

Uhh this took some thought but I really want more people to appreciate Gordon being responsible and reliable/Gordon being a big brother trope.

It's common to see him and Alan being grouped as "the babies" and the others as "the older bros" and within the older bros there's lots of them taking turns in being the shoulder to cry on and taking charge which I don't see a lot with the younger two.

Icarus wasn't a great episode in terms of story but the reason why it's one of my favourites is because we actually get to see Gordon being very emotionally in touch with others and being a big brother to Tom the competition winner. Tom immediately latches to this squid like a limpet and Gordon is surprised but just kinda accepts his role of babysitter, no complaints. He's super patient, he always listens to what Tom has to say, he explains things to him in a way that a kid would understand but also doesn't dumb it down as if Tom is stupid or anything, he supports Tom and reassures and comforts him, he celebrates his victories with him, he lets Tom hold his hand and wraps his arm around him and ruffles his hair. At the end when Tom changes his mind about his favourite thunderbird, Gordon isn't upset or disappointed or anything and while Alan is kinda freaking out at this kid's logic, Gordon's just grabs his new little buddy and takes him off to get a treat as a job well done.

Gordon just accepts this child unconditionally. Tom chose Gordon, he sees Gordon as a safe person and Gordon takes Tom under his wing, no questions asked. Gordon doesn't know this kid like at all and yet he still treated Tom with above and beyond care and compassion, it would have been so easy for Gordon to have pushed Tom onto Penny, she volunteered to take him but when Tom wanted to stay he respected that.

I love this side of Gordon and I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get more of it and I feel like it needs more attention. It's one of the reasons I post a lot about Squirt, because it creates a dynamic that I love that you don't get with any other character.

how do you make the plot of your fanfics? do you just wing it? or do you have a plot outline or a lore document of some sort

ok this answer became longer than i intended but i love talking about writing. im just going to talk about it from ajwiaap perspective but this is my general experience with all longer works. 

i kiiiinda wing it. i'm good at storing ideas in my head so i rarely put them on paper because everything changes so much all the time that it'd be a lot of effort to write down.

i'd say the main thing i do for plotting is just thinking about it. a lot. like every time i go for a walk, or before falling asleep, or when im doing every day tasks, or sometimes just sitting down somewhere and jumping into my head for an hour to play out scenes and tweak ideas.

my outline and all the lore exists pretty much only in my head. i have a short list of acts of physical affection that i'd like for clownzy to do and turn to that for inspiration every time im writing a scene. i also have a list of park-related ideas. and i did keep an outline for the first few chapters but, well, the level of effort put into it can be shown in the way i wrote chapter 10 plot down:

- “Watch and learn, Kaboodle.” fucks shit up!!!!!!!

- (gets depressed)

with the "watch and learn, kaboodle" dialogue never happening and the (gets depressed) being his stir crazy arc.

i DO have a vague plan, but i also give myself a lot of freedom to switch things up. i find it more fun to write when the scene im writing can take a sudden turn because i came up with something new on the spot.

a few instances where this has happened:

chapter 12 was almost fully written and edited before i came up with the breaking the wrist conflict, so i had to rewrite and edit almost all of it

despite setting up ash and squiddo spending a night in the park, i only came up with the idea of them being there the same night as minute as i was writing the start of chapter 9

the chapter 13 clownzy renegotiation is literally two drafted scenes with vastly different contexts and atmospheres in a trenchcoat. honestly have no idea how i pulled it off.

for the first two months of writing i imagined clowns house to be a much smaller, cosier place, until they finally got there and i was like.... this is no place for branzy to go insane

when i wrote the halloween murder scene i too had no clue who the murderer was. all i knew was that clown knew.

the scene where rek and branzy call the kids on new years eve simply did not exist until i was editing, but now it's important to the plot.

(for every new lovely idea made on the spot there's like two drafted scenes that will never see the light of day also god bless)

in the earlier chapters, back when i was updating every week (insane behavior) i was much more focused on writing... clownzy. in a way. like, yes, still big clownzy now! they're weirder than ever. but back then, the plot was kind of a background thing to me and i prioritised silly and weird flirting. but as my attachment to the fic grew (and as i started getting a lot of feedback from you guys like !!!!!!!!!!!!! holy motivation) i started wanted to just flesh things out more, build the world a little better. one reader asked me some worldbuilding questions in chapter 9 and i found it really fun to think out the answers.

which is also why the updates are slower now. i spend hours thinking about how to make the plot work and how to set up the concepts that need to be introduced (it's either thinking deeply about the world and the complexities of the character dynamics or me just thinking about clownzy kissing. no in between. one is much more productive). i dont wanna post something if i have this sense that there's a better direction to take it, or if the dialogue sounds clunky to me. im also mildly upset that i didn't get into proper worldbuilding a bit sooner but i think the evil capitalism workaround + branzy being unreliable narrator has helped it make sense, even though there are things i would go back and change in earlier chapters to make the worldbuilding better (if i wasn't too lazy to be bothered)

all that being said. in short terms. what happens with me and writing long fics is that usually, i'm like "ah, this will probably be about 20k words" and then i get to 20k words and the fic has taken over my life and i'm suddenly saddled with the task to think of a proper storyline. and the "taken over my life" is not hyperbolic, it is literally all i think about.

and as of now, the outline is as polished as it's ever been. it also still only exists in my head, but ive set up things for the major plot points im planning, so im not winging it entirely, just keeping it in my head! :D

I’m very intrigued by the lifesteal stuff on my dash courtesy of you but I have no idea where to start with it. any chance you could share some recommendations for getting into lifesteal?

I've actually had this question answered before and I'm still just as unsure if I'm the best person to consult (I am going to just copy most of what I said with minor changes bc Ive learned more ✨)

Ok so disclaimer time! I pick favorites and stick with them and have accepted the consequences of not knowing anything outside their povs (also I'm a yt girlie at heart so i lowkey rely on videos than livestreams)

So Lifesteal is still very much a half foot in, half foot out deal due to most of the events usually happening on livestreams so I’m always a bit late on the current happenings.

If you dont mind just throwing yourself into the lore without knowing jackshit, I'd recommend watching PrinceZam, Kaboodle, Pangi, or Derapchu (for livestreams specifically) - I'm sure there's other folks, but I do know that they tend to stream fairly often.

In terms of youtube videos (and slightly being able to catch up on lore) I'd recommend Squiddo (who is a personal favorite of mine, most of her videos tend to be within the half hour mark and are incredibly entertaining the whole way through) as well as Rekrap, JumperWho, Roshambo (though not much for s6), Spokeishere, and Flamefrags. (There are others, as well I'm just listing who come sto mind that)

If you want to get into older seasons I'd recommend watching Branzycraft as he had a fairly regular upload schedule. A lot of lifesteal folks also tend to post longass videos detailing their server journey - though this is often towards the end of seasons or even a bit after. I also recently discovered that saints exist within the fandom and some important events of arcs (such as the eclipse fed/wormhole from s4 have been clipped together into one video).

I have realized (and this may be my own doing) that there’s usually gonna be unexplained gaps in knowledge which is something I’ve just kinda accepted tbh. (Like in general, especially considering the nature of the server and everyone playing 5D chess)

I also tend to doomscroll through character specific tags on tumblr and usually people can be found rambling about events/characterization which is a bit like putting together a puzzle but it slowly comes together (which a piece or two missing)
