and context, for the fic Marina is using a mix of signs and gestures and werid ocean hokey pokie telepathy jazz.

“For Kissing? Poinous plants for are kissing?”

“Yes. It’s a tradition. A Kiss Under the mistletoe.”  Atlanta explained. 

despite being told to take it easy Atlanta was insistent she still hang up the decorations. and woudn’t hear of anyone else doing it for her. Troy was only allowed to hold the step ladder while she was up it in the lounge door way. She was being careful while and where she was hanging the mistletoe. Marina still eyed it with mistrust as Atlanta pinned it’s ribbon in place.

“Even plastic plant? And Kiss? Like really kiss? land / Human kiss?” she clarified, and Pointed at her lips, then tapped them. 

“No!” Atlanta squarked. She nearly dropped the darn thing. Atlanta amended. “no. No honey, You don't have to do that.”  

“Maybe just give people a peck on the cheek instead?” Troy suggested.

“Or nothing.” Atlanta Stressed at him. Then finishing hanging the fake decoration tuned back to Marina. “You don’t have to kiss anyone. at all. not if you don’t want too. And you don’t have to be kissed either, cheek or lips. Don't let anyone pressure you!”

The mermaid relaxed a lot at that.

“That said, don't teach them a lesson like you did to Mackle.” Atlanta warned. Troy agreed.

“Yeah, we don’t want you grounded again Marina!”

“I'm only going to hand a few sprigs up. This one and a couple there and maybe over in the hall. so you can avoid it at the party.”  

Marina nodded and signed her thanks. And then [fill]

Both helping her down the step ladder.

“Peck?” Marina asked Troy. “That's a cheek kiss? called peck?”

Atlanta frowned.

Atlanta was Taken surprise As with a little hop up; Marina kissed her. On the cheek just before the corner of her of her lips.   she dosnt plucker her lips enough or angle her head quite right. So it's more a brush of closed lips and her nose pressed to Atlanta’s cheek / Nudgeing her nose agaist Atlanta's cheek.

 It was more a bump or a nudge then a Peck really. Like the one Marina had given to Shellfia that time, but not as squishey.  

“Ain't that sweet.” Troy teased. Atlanta blinked.

“Like that?” Marina asked cheekily.

“Yes! i mean. I suppose. but Only if you want to, Marina. And like the person.” Atlanta stammered. Marina Beamed nodding.

Atlanta felt possivly Giddy. To giddy to go back up the ladder and let Troy take over.  

Worse she was distracted about it all evening. Right up until Troy gave her a real kiss in the same doorway. And even then she was still thinking about Marina afterwards.
