Since you liked my rambling abt my random Nimona headcanons, here's part 2

- Starting off with the queen (rip), I think her white hair is actually a wig and she has some gorgeous greying tight curls under it

- There was a thingy "the Boldheart project" which was created when Bal got accepted into the Institute's knight program. "The project" followed his progress in training to figure out if commoners were able to train as good as nobles. If he completed the course successfully, the reform would be set (sry I like talking abt fantasy politics- yea, putting responsibility on a literal child to become a figure of "equality" is... Sure a strategy)

Let's stop with the politics amirite

- Ambrosius sings in the shower. First it was like quiet humming n stuff but when him and Bal start living together this guy's shower was akin to opera (hah- soap opera- get it-)

- Ambrosius would be a type of a rich dude who fantasizes about living on his own and providing for himself and having this sweet humble suburban way of life with his husband until he actually starts living this way (he's a literal nepo baby- cmon the habits will be there even if he tries being independent)

Ambrosius: Bal, I don't get why I keep burning my bread! It's the second time I fail!

Ballister: Practice makes perfect, darling

- Nimona's hanging out with the kingdom's kids from time to time. She goes out of her way to make them laugh or make them feel happy in general. It heals her inner child, in a way

- Even though she hangs out with them from a perspective of a cool older shapeshifting punk sibling, she still feels like their peer and can't help but transform into her child form sometimes

- idk I think Nimona shapeshifts into a child pretty often if she feels overwhelmed or emotionally devastated or just wants to be taken care of

- Ballister does take care of her

- Ambrosius is left-handed but was forced to relearn because the perfect descendant of Gloreth cannot be left-handed, it's abnormal🤓

- Ballister can't help but go 😬 when either Ambrosius or Nimona take food with their left hand while eating. Yeah technically eating with his flesh hand would be easier for him. No he won't do that for the life of him (saying hi to all Muslims out there)

- Ballister decides to grow out a real beard and Nimona thinks it's the coolest thing ever to play with during their family quality time. Ambrosius also likes this change in his looks but for rather uh... gay different reasons😁

If we're talking about gay stuff I might just as well talk abt some Goldenheart hcs

- When they've only started dating Ballister had a really difficult time with the eye contact bc Ambrosius's loving gaze was too much to handle for him. He'd see how gentle and soft his eyes are and how they're filled with complete adoration to the top and just look away all blushy and smitten

- I think we as a fandom agree that Ambrosius's love language is arm chopping physical touch. Have you considered how important kisses can be to him in expressing his love tho

- Ambrosius LOVES kissing Ballister. He's probably kissed him everywhere if you think about it-

- But yea. He steals kisses from Bal as often as he can. Boo goes to work? Kiss him goodbye. Boo gets back? Kiss him goodhi - doesn't matter where😉

- His favorite place to kiss is probably Bal's neck bc he just likes nuzzling into it and making him all flustered

- Ballister loves kissing Ambrosius as well. His favorite thing ever is press kisses into Ambrosius's hair while they're lying down on the couch, Ambrosius's head on Ballister's chest n his arms around Ballister's torso. It makes them both feel very soft and warm and safe❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

- (teenage years) You know this type thing when kittens playfully fight each other and jump onto each other and bite and stuff? Yea that's teenage Goldenheart

- (a little older than teenage years) current sparring trend in the writer part of the fandom. That's it. You know damn well what I'm talking about

- At some point their private training sessions became the reason they succeeded in combat and got the highest of marks

- Nimona has some pretty dark humor but draws the line at the things that could really trigger her or other people. Joking about burning everything down? Of course. Joking about... Well... The act 3 of the movie? Nope, never

- Ballister snores in his sleep bc he's a dad like that

- Ballister also is a type of dad to sleep on the couch while watching TV, and when you turn it off he wakes up and tells you he's been watching it this whole time

- Both Nimona and Ambrosius encourage Ballister to speak his mother tongue more often bc he used to hide it at the Institute

- Nimona scrunches her nose when she tries to remember things

- Ballister snaps his fingers while remembering stuff, especially in "Huh... What's the word for..." situations (he just like me fr)

- Nimona loves biting pencils and pens but sometimes she bites too hard and they break in half or something

- I feel like her stomach is iron. This punk can eat an eraser or swallow a knife or drink lava-hot water and all she'll do is burp maybe

- After leaving the Institute Ambrosius would have one hell of existential crisis. All he's dedicated his life to for all these years were lies and propaganda, what's the purpose of his life now? He tries out as many new things as he can - baking, painting, singing, playing musical instruments, photography, even science (with Bal's help ofc) my dude has tried it all. He sometimes felt worthless bc his life had no greater purpose but Bal and Nimona would reassure him that living happily with people who love him is more than enough and that you don't have to be the greatest person ever to live the best life. Find joy in the smallest of things n stuff😌

- Ballister has found ways to renovate his arm and made a bunch of new prosthetics for different purposes. I feel like he'd use a hook as well sometimes (as I've heard from the disabled community, hook is a very comfortable aid). No I'm not talking about that one post about his prosthetic's... renovations (😳) from the fan acc I follow

japanese actor, got popular for her work in the 2000s as a teen actor

battle royale (2000), she was 16 at the time and did some of the best acting in the entire movie imo, and just like. look at the still. if i was there i'd just accept death

kill bill (2003), the film she was nominated for TWO awards for even tho she was a side character and WON one of them (best fight). she was amazing and was my favourite character between both movies. she was the best possible casting for the role (gogo yubari) and i was fucking devastated when she died (sry for spoilers, it's a great movie u should go watch it, but it was a plot death and was obvious from her introduction)

now, like, sry to be a fake fan but those are the only movies with her i've watched so far (this will change soon) but here are a few other notable ones:

shikoku (1999) - haven't been able to find a copy of this online (not even tgx), but she plays another... less sane character, the horror of this horror movie. if anyone can find it online somewhere please reach out bc it seems like an interesting movie

ju-on: the curse (2000) - this one is available online! unfortunately, it's v low quality and is likely a rip of a rip of a rip, but subtitles are pretty decent. haven't watched the whole thing but kuriyama was brilliant in this too! despite the fact that it's a rlly cheap and shitty horror movie, she had excellent acting and was obviously into the role

she has since played several other roles in several movies, shows, and has voice acted/dubbed for some projects. she's also going to be in the upcoming season of a semi-popular japanese tv show called Ōoku, coming out in 2024.

ALSO sidepoint, i forgot to mention this earlier, but she is a badass and could beat most people on here in a fight

and, last but certainly, absolutely, definitely not least, she has released several songs and even the 2011 album circus which is really fucking good and you need to listen to it right fucking now, please and thank you (if you're wondering, it's pop/rock)

What abt hc of how the Uchiha and/or Senju would differ depending on education? Like would one clan be better at say; science, or math, or literature, etc.

Or what about the little things? Y'know things like what are some of the social etiquette rules that each clan would follow?

Sry I'm rly ecstatic that there's someone who is eager to go into the deep dive of lore behind a story when there is little to no info!

oof, I'm afraid I'm not very good with comparison as I suck at writing headcanons for the Uchiha, and there are plenty others who are great at that. Not that i feel super confident about my Senju headcanons either most of the time...

But I can say this: I don't think they were very different in terms of education, and you really can't note one clan as being better at one thing compared to another.

In my mind, shinobi clans were overall considered lower class members of society as a whole. Upper middle-class at best. 

They were mercenaries. Highly skilled professional fighters with unique abilities.  Being professional soldiers was their job, and they had to do it well if they wanted to make sure their clan thrived.  And I think their education would reflect that occupation as well as the state of the clan at the time and the resources available. So during the WS era, when there was no organized academy system and likely not any public schooling available for shinobi children, the clans educated their own members with what means and knowledge that existed within the clan and probably had their own ways of doing it.

I do think that being literate and having at least basic math skills was very valuable knowledge to have so that would likely have been among the first things they'd learn.  And we do know that both Madara and Hashirama were able to read and write by the age of like 12-14.

Again, the shinobi were mercenaries. Soldiers. Fighters. Not nobles, scholars or artists. And they lived short lives. Skills and knowledge that first and foremost served and made it possible for you to survive and do your job as a shinobi well were prioritized, and that was true for most clans.  

Aside from just grueling physical training, these fields of skills and knowledge could include : Tracking, hunting, fishing, survival training, basic medical skills/first aid (not medical ninjutsu), identifying plants and knowing their various purposes, making and caring for tools and equipment, map-reading, understanding social structure, setting up and taking down camps efficiently, undermining enemy fortifications and understanding military organization, language and strategy. Mental and emotional endurance and focus against pain, loss, or fear. The ability to think fast and act quickly, perceptiveness, see opportunities and take initiative, efficient cooperation with others as well as independent action and thinking.

Although respect, loyalty and discipline was important, blind obedience and inability to think for themselves was discouraged, as it made for inefficient soldiers that wouldn't be able to act unless they were continuously given clear and explicit orders.  The shinobi of this time had to be able to act and think on their own if needed, and the choices they made would reflect on their clan.  They prided themselves on being high-quality fighters, and being mindless fools who would falter and lose all manner of discipline and focus if they lost their commander was not how they maintained a good reputation. 

'Humanities' like artistic expression or literature were not among these fields that shinobi would prioritize. The warring states period wasn't a flourishing time for these fields I'd imagine, and for shinobi they were rarely useful in practice.  (If they wanted they could engage in these fields when they had free time, or during the winter when campaigning often took a pause and left a bit of room for leisure.) 

Ofc there were those who found their strength in books and scrolls, in experimenting and developing new tools and techniques, in digging deep into what was known and pushing the boundaries of what was possible. But pretty much all clans prior to the villages being developed were terribly limited in their resources, so there was only so far one could go in research before hitting a wall. 

The Senju valued learning, and sharing knowledge, a great deal. Teaching and training younger members of the clan was an essential task that pretty much all adults would do to some extent at one point or another, everyone held responsibility to ensure the next generation had the skills and knowledge necessary for a life as shinobi, as professional fighters. The younger members of the clan were encouraged to see all their elders, regardless if they were just a year older or several decades, as teachers, and respect them as such.

They were the clan of a thousand skills after all, and to ensure all those skills that existed within the clan would survive they needed to be passed down.

If knowledge was exclusively passed down from parent to child then the width of knowledge and skill sets would quickly become limited. Individuals who might have an undiscovered talent for a certain skill may never reach their full potential because they were never exposed to its existence. Some skills could even be lost completely if that family-line ended, which was always a risk since many died before they had children of their own.  Hoarding knowledge within a family-line was deeply frowned upon.

So to prevent this, young members regardless gender and of roughly the same age would from the age of three be trained together in groups, but they could come from many different families and bloodlines. Still, for almost two hundred years leading up to Hashirama becoming clan head, these kids would usually be sent out on missions before they were anywhere near fully trained or educated in truth. It was idiotic and impractical, but a persistent remnant from a period where illness and war made it necessary to have even the younger members of the clan fight. Some groups would be completely empty before any of the members had even turned eleven years old.

Even if young Senju, who were often in a league above many others, were learning quickly and efficiently and having the strength and stamina of their genetics on their side, when they ended up in a life-or-death fight against an adult shinobi (or even non-shinobi) with decades of experience, the odds were overwhelmingly against them. And those who would have been pretty average shinobi, those who despite carrying the Senju name, in a different time would not have gotten very far and might have gone on to dedicate themselves to other tasks that would support and keep the clan running smoothly, were often the first to die. You were either strong or you were dead. 

In my continued warring states verse, since Hashirama became clan head he set a strict  line on when young Senju are allowed to get anywhere near a potential battle.  Before fifteen, no Senju was given missions.  They are to focus on training and studying. On growing. On flourishing and settling into their unique strengths.  And even at fifteen, they are still not allowed into open combat.  The Senju's coming-of-age milestone was sixteen, and only at that point were they allowed to fight in open combat, if they were deemed to have sufficient strength and ability to be capable of it. 

Because of this, the number of fighting Senju did drop for a little while, but the ones that then entered the field when they became eligible were far stronger, thoroughly trained, educated, and competent, and had a much higher survival-rate. 

Now, as I said I generally don't feel super comfortable writing headcanons for the Uchiha, I find that very difficult so I rarely do it. But, I do sort of imagine them teaching and training their young members much more centered within individual family units. Parents teach their older children, and the older children teach their younger siblings. Close cousins, aunts and uncles might be involved too.  And I like to think that Madara implemented a similar age-restriction for the Uchiha as Hashirama did for the Senju.

Honestly I don't think the Senju have very unique mannerisms that are specific to their clan.  They are sought after as mercenaries and as such have had to adapt to the social etiquette of the class they usually serve so as to not offend their employer.

But here’s some general brainstorming on both big and small things, not sure its what you were thinking of bet here it is. Again, for the Senju.

- Don't settle for 'good enough'. Always strive towards perfection and precision. Don't leave things half-finnished.

- Honor and respect your parents, your elders and offer prayers to your ancestors. 

- Do not speak ill of or disrespect the dead.

- Honor your clan. Wear your crest with pride and dignity. When you wear your clan's crest, you represent it, so never act in a way that will bring shame upon it and all others who wear it, have worn it and will wear it in the future.

(Note :: The shinobi's view of shame and dishonor is different from that of say samurai and most of the world, which is also why so many look down on them) - If possible, do not use your last name when speaking to strangers. - Be mindful of social ranks outside of the clan and within it, and act appropriately when in the presence of those that are higher rank than you.

- Life is fleeting and impermanent, and death is an inevitable part of life. Everything ends one way or another. Accept this irrefutable truth. Train hard, and fight with discipline and vigor and with the anticipation of death, and seize and enjoy the time between. 

- Don't speak without thinking, and speak only when you have something worth saying. Speak clearly. Senju can be considered blunt, but overall  sincere. 

- Do not overindulge in alcohol

- Treat and love all your peers as your brothers and sisters.  Get along, be respectful of each other, and stay close. Love and support each other for life. Senju put a lot of emphasis on camaraderie, promoting relationships of trust and devotion between peers over strictly familial or filial ones.  - Although no self-respecting Senju would be caught dead in a brothel, Senju overall have a very openhearted, or uninhibited according to some, view on sex. They are often known to be unabashed flirts, both towards other Senju and outsiders, and do not seem to strictly limit themselves to their marital partner, and premarital, recreational and casual sex is normal. Some non-Senju find it alluring and enticing, others are appalled and see this behavior as lecherous and inappropriate. The Senju however take a certain pride in being excellent lovers, seeing sex as a form of entertainment and socialization and not something that is exclusively for procreation between a husband and wife. They often also think other clans are too stiff and restricted in the way they are allowed physical expressions of love and sexual fulfillment.  Life is way too short for that.

- Some acts of disobedience are more acceptable than others, and it is usually rather a matter of if you get caught doing it. For example, if you get caught sneaking out of the house at night you'll get scolded or disciplined for being caught, rather than the act of trying to sneak out itself.

- Do not waste food or drink. If you really do not wish to eat or drink what you are offered for some reason, accept it politely but leave it without eating or drinking it. Food was frequently scarce during the WS era, so refusing food was not only impolite but also just plain wasteful. 

- Shinobi children often had many siblings, and parents that could be away from the home for extended periods of time or die suddenly, so being able to help care for their family by performing domestic and household tasks and being self-sufficient was important.  This responsibility particularly falls onto the oldest child, but everyone is expected to pull their weight when needed and however they are able.

- Maintain good hygiene. When in the field, take all opportunities that are offered to wash up. 

- Keep your clothing and equipment clean, neat and maintained as well. Treat your belongings well, or they might fail you when you need them, and they may not be easy to replace. Treating your belongings poorly or having a dishevelled appearance can not only be cause of disapproving looks, but even disciplinary action.

- A shinobi will have to do and endure terrible things, you are expected to be relentless, cold, and uncompromising in battle, but you must keep the one you must always be on the battlefield separated from the one you are at home. You have to learn this. If you get consumed by anger or pain or grief and can't function off the battlefield, or start engaging in antisocial behaviour, you are a burden to the rest of the clan.

- Treat guests with respect and hospitality.  Although the Senju rarely bring outsiders into their settlement, they are excellent hosts when they do. And once the village was founded and you visited a Senju household, you would always be offered to at least sit down and have some tea before you left.

hey sry this is random but at least a few mos ago u wanted to talk abt aa4 (sry if that changed!) & im thinkin abt how ppl often depict klavier as overdramatic when hes sick / hurt - idk if im just projecting but i'd almost see it opposite? like if he's only a lil sick & its ppl he trusts sure, but i think mb he's been trained to minimize/downplay most stuff to not show weakness tht kristoph would have jumped on. idk? sry for rambling @ u. ur klav haircut art resonated w me as an abuse survivor

as for the subject of the ramble... literally couldn't agree more. I've always seen klavier as a person who's learned to do nothing but wear a mask of his own (and his brothers) creation constantly. because that's what people who go through his situation do!!! kristoph has ingrained in his brain that weakness is the worst quality of a human, and to have that forcibly taught at such a young age??? klavier would take forever, if he would at all, to unlearn that.

he would would literally be the type of person to bottle everything up, including physical ailments. I can see the conversations now...

it would definitely be the same for anything emotional he experiences. that's why he covers it up with flirts and jokes and general happiness--because he's been taught that to show sadness is weakness. and I definitely think that in the same vein, while that has traumatized and affected klavier his entire life, he also acts flamboyant TO spite his brother, so you know, it's a mix of both cause that's always how it ends up.

I also think that because he's learned to be this way through kristoph, he gets rlly distant and defensive when his loved ones insists he gets help. obv he usually apologizes after he's had some time to cool off (and eventually he does seek help for his trauma) but yea I can see apollo gently calling him out on some of his unhealthy behaviors and he just... doesn't handle it well :(

ANYWAY yes I wholeheartedly agree with ur headcanons!! I do think he's very fucking capable of being a drama queen, not only because we see it firsthand in the game, but because he's also a perfectionist at heart (also thanks to kristoph :/). but when it comes to anything involving displays of weakness, he keeps that shit under lock and key!!! klavier gavin in distress?? what's that???? Camille: Camille !!!!!!!!! My babie. She’s so strong. Homegirl had her entire identity snatched away, survived, persevered, and built a family all her own. She grew into her own chasing down justice & happiness, she’s just so powerful. Even being a mean girl, Camille protected her young peers from adults who belittled and sexualized them. She shameless.

I love her extrovert and hotheaded nature. She always stands up loudly for her beliefs and what’s right. I don’t often write extrovert OCs who rule the school as Queen Bee with a pretty boy on her arm. Her whole journey to build her own identity after everything was just really special to me. That said, Camille always always always had a problem with perfection due to her ability and upbringing so it was a struggle at times for her to open up about pain bc she’d rather be mangled and have everyone see her as pretty and perfect. She spent a lot of time lying to herself and ya just wanted to shake her!! What she and Billy had was super special and wonderful tho.

Lucy: I’m so mean to her, I’ll just start there. Lucy has a tendency to just lie down and take pain bc of Martin’s conditioning which always makes me sad. She’s easily broken down and shattered, which I don’t think are all bad things. They just make sense for what’s happened to her in life.

I still enjoy the grey shades I created her in. She’s done a lot of questionable things to survive and save others. She’s stood back and had to let people die or get hurt. She’s killed plenty herself. I think there’s a lot she’s done that readers don’t agree with but I love that!!

That struggle won’t end with Brenner out of her life, in fact there’s something almost more fragile about her without him that she’s working through. I think they’re very toxic soulmates and the other side of the coin with her & Jim. I love this glimmer of hope to get to the end of her journey though. She has every reason to want to see the world rot and she can be a scarier villain than Brenner himself, but she still believes in love and in good. She’s willing to die for her loved ones and also that’s the bad side, she’s willing to die for her loved ones. She had every intention of dying with Martin at the end of S1. They’re forever antagonists.

But, seeing her grow and hope again after so much pain in life like it’s really never too late to come back from something awful. I love that she stands for that.

Evie: My girrrrrrrrllll. My lovely little plush songstress. Evie sure is something. She’s an introvert but she isn’t quite shy, she’s just very withholding. She’s used to being ignored/pushed aside/hurt so she really locked her heart away in the hopes no one could touch it to hurt it. Nothing bad will touch it, but nothing good will either. She’s also SO easily skittish to run/back pedal at the first sight of possible hurt when opening up so I think it can be frustrating. She doesn’t cry openly, she just goes cold and shuts down. People seeing her in pain or vulnerable is just too much. It hurts.

Like Camille, she’d rather be seen as fine and dandy than display pain but it’s to the point with Evie that her personality feels mutilated. They both grow up too fast because of older men. She’s a dreamer and lost a lot of the time in repressed trauma and disassociation is gonna be an issue. It started with her inability to display hurt and anger before her parents so she pretended to be perfect until nothing else existed.

But, I like that Evie never tries to treat others the way she is. She’s always understanding and encouraging, even to bullies in her life. Carol, Tommy, and even Brock. She’s so kind because kindness is free. She puts everyone else’s pain above her own which is a good/bad thing. I love her empathy and her huge dreams, the girl’s still a fighter. She wants to survive. To get on stage. To touch other people and help them with music. She wants to badly to share herself even if she’s so blocked up a lot of the time.

Quality time

Ethan is driving car with rookie .He asked "Do u have anyone else to convey this?" .she nodded. He asked"who?". She said "My brother ". Ethan asked her abt her brother and why didn't she tell abt this earlier to him."Its complicated"she said .Ethan pause and look into her eyes that full of sorrow amd loneliness and tears tht threatening to fall . He crossed the seat and squeezed her hand ."Whats bothering u ."Ethan asked."We are in good terms and my child hood is perfect. Until 2 yrs back my mom had an accident. She couldn't make it.After we both got distant. Maybe he is moved on with his life or may be i moved .But the only person who makes us laugh is dad now he is gone i don't know what I am going to do without him " she cried

"I am sorry. Iam here for u ."Ethan told

She smiled and rested her head in his shoulder and "i can't call him pls u call him and tell him this he probably hate me .but iam not ready for tat pls ethan"she told .He nodded

And then she drift of to sleep in his shoulder

In a few hrs they arrived Boston airport

Ethan and rookie are sitting in waiting hall for passengers

Ethan called her brother and gently explained to him . He talked to her and gave her reassurance

Finally they landed montreal

She took ethan to her parents house

She stand there infront of the house

She started to reminsce the look of her dad how last year when she and her brother was here

Tears started to rolling

Before she turns to walk away Ethan grabbed her elbow and pinned her to the door."U are not going anywhere. I'll stay in ur room with u"Ethan said. She is shocked by his statement but she also wants him to stay .she walk up to her room and flop on her bed . Ethan gently take her and lay in bed properly .He himself joined in the bed and he huggs her close .so tht she can sleep.She hugged him back and "will we be ok Ethan?"she asked him

Ethan "i don't know abt that rookie ,lets not worry abt that. Iam here for u and always. Now sleep we have to attend funeral tommorow morning sleep my baby girl"

She drift off to sleep

When she wakes up she finds empty bed Ethan is not there. A nice smell of aroma came to her room. She freshen up and went downstairs to find her brother and Ethan in the kitchen making food .From the distant she can see they both got along well. With tht satisfaction she head to kitchen and hugged her brother from back

"I missed u leo " she said

Her brother (Leo) turned around and hugged her tightly like he used to do in small age

"I missed u too. Don't worry .Don't feel guilty for not telling abt dad's death by urself i can understand. Now come eat. I made ur favorite mac and cheese come " he said

3 off them sat on the table .Ethan sat beside her . He holds her hands under table and somehow that send shiver to her and she smiled

Leo notices her smiling with Ethan. And felt Ethan is perfect match for her .He asked abt Ethan how she is doing there in Boston. They all had a little happy time together.

Ethan got a call from Harper so he went .And now in the dining are she is sitting with her brother. "Iam sorry leo . I should have called u . But i can't. I saw u wen mom left us. Its harder for me to tell u . I was worried u will be back in depression. Pls don't be stressed. Talk to me "she said.

"No need to say sry case . I understand. I promise i will be not stressed,and i will aĺways stay in touch with you. "Leo said

"How is Lucy doing? Did she knows abt this ? She asked

The next morning

They both got up and get ready. They haven't talked since last night. This is the day she never wanted to happen after her mother death

She got ready and went downstairs

Ethan and leo stand there waiting for her

They all went to the graveyard stand there for a while

When leo talks a abruptly male voice cut him off

"Oh come on stop it u all u can't done without me its my brothers funeral " he said

Her eyes got widen at sight of seeing him

She and leo joined hands .And confidently stand infront of him

"Kamal what the hell ? My dad will never be ur brother after what we have done to us. Now get out or i might stab u .Please leave us alone .u are not a good brother aand u never will be." She angrily yell at him
